So Chloe knew something was up, but not sure. As she drove back to the
safe house, she wondered why Morton had been cryptic in the recent text
message. It was the Friday before Thanksgiving, and the school would be
closed all of the next week. She got to the driveway and parking her
car, made her way into the house. As soon as she entered the house, she
saw Morton in the main room, some maps and other papers strewn about
the table. "Oh good, you are back, here take a look at this." Morton
motioned quickly for Chloe to come over to where he was at. She dropped
her purse by the door then walked over to see the map Morton had.
It was a map of the local city, Robertsonburg. Chloe and Morton lived
out in a safe house in the suburbs while the main city lay down south
of there. The suburbs were also where Leavitt Jones High School was
located. Now Chloe on occasions (either with Claire and Miranda or
Joey) would head out there for shopping or other activities. But aside
from that, Chloe stuck to just hanging out in the 'burbs. But now it
seemed that going there would be another part of the mission.
"I got word from the transmitter about the Kurtz gang planning to knock
up a bank this Black Friday, when it will be closed." Morton told her
about it as the two sat down to discuss matters. "But how can that be?
Surely someone will notice....." Chloe started to point out until
Morton stopped her short at that thought. "Ah well two things about
that, one it will be carried out at dusk when everyone will be gone
back home from shopping sprees and the insanity that brings. Secondly,
the bank itself is on the north side of the city-along North Robertson
Street, naturally the part that isn't as frequented. It's actually
quite clever on his part."
"Oh please don't be too impressed with that, I've done crazier stuff,"
Chloe replied with a risen blonde brow on her face.
Morton wanted to strike back but decided against that. "Ok, point
taken," he stated flatly, then continued, "So, here's the plan: We
stake out the bank before they get there and with any luck intercept
them in the act." Chloe then interjected, "Wait, just us two? Hardly
seems possible to pull off a stakeout with just me in my state and you
an mere analyst."
"Ah well, you will keep an eye out on the ground for them, while I will
be on a rooftop with this...." He pointed to a case at his feet. Chloe
looked at the case then with a sly grin. "A crack shot with that eh?"
"Heh, well good enough I should say," Morton replied with a grin of his
own.
The two resumed getting the details together, but something with still
itching Chloe/M's mind regarding Joey, allowing herself to be lost in
thought. Morton noticed this quickly, dashing out a line of, "Oh you
thinking about lover boy again, wondering if he will be there or not?"
Blushing furiously, Chloe stammered out, "Oh no, not him....I figure he
wouldn't be involved with that.... I hope."
"Is that you talking or him?" Morton pondered. "M still has his
reservations on that, I am sure. But I am hopeful that Joey won't be
there." Chloe shot back, then crossed her arms together in a defensive
position. Morton took the hint, but added "Ok, but don't say I didn't
warn you."
Black Friday is upon the city, with everyone out and about doing
shopping. The streets around the North Robertson Street Bank, though,
were desolate-the sun creeping onto empty streets, the wind cooly
wrapping around the nooks and crannies here and there, blowing out dust
and soot on this cool November day. Cars were sitting around, sure, but
not occupied, their owners either staying in after a long day of
feasting, recuperating slumber in their beds. However, the cracking
sound of an engine could be heard as a white nondescript van drove
along the street to the bank. But the bank is closed today due to the
holiday weekend, and yet the driver of said van determined to make its
course towards it anyway. Dusk was settling it in quickly.
Meanwhile, just down the road, Chloe was standing around the corner
from bank itself. She had on a skintight lycra black overall for most
of her body, extending down from the neck. She had a removable dark
hood covering her head, with see through material around the face for
vision purposes. She could see the van approaching and quickly called
up Morton using a special mic "Hey Morton, you see this van? Quite
fishy," she stated flatly. Hearing some brief static, Morton responded
"Yeah Yeah I see it, give me a minute to line up my sight." Chloe
looked up to see a brief flash of light, reflecting off the scope, as
Morton was obviously on the roof of the building near by, with a
vantage point clear ahead of the bank. "Although, it looks like they
are heading to next street over, possibly stopping there then getting
out to walk over. Stand by," Morton called out over the mic piece in
Chloe's ear. She nodded to herself, as she kept an eye out on the van.
After moment, she heard the doors of the van swing open. She made her
move, quietly, to see who would be coming out of the van. Surely the
big man Kurtz himself wouldn't be here, and hopefully not Joey. She
found a corner away from any prying eyes, and took a look towards the
van. Out stepped Roger, he must Kurtz's right hand man, and the two big
blonde tough guys from the back of the van. Roger was carrying a
familiar device in his hands-a bolt cutter. Ah must be his weapon of
choice when it comes to robbery and thievery Chloe/M thought. The twins
Karlheinz and Hans had some non-descript khaki bags in their hands,
likely to stuff their undeserved earnings in for sure. But, the van
facing her from the back so she couldn't see who was the driver.
Looking around, she figured out a way to get around to get that vantage
point.
She made her way around, the street alleys cleared out for the day. She
got around to a building near the van's front, and that was when she
saw the driver, Joey. He was just sitting there, minding his own
business. She quickly ducked out of sight, whew hopefully he didn't see
me. She took another look at Joey, sitting in the driver's seat. What
was he doing here, and more to the point, why? Chloe's mind was raddled
with questions, but M put those all aside with one truth-somehow,
someway, Joey was involved with his father's illegal activities. And
putting aside anything else, he must be dealt with in the same manner.
But before that train of thought could be finished, she heard some
talking from the other side of the van. Ah, they must be back. She
signaled to Morton about this and got an affirmative right back from
him.
She looked around the corner to see Roger and the twins coming back to
the van, their sacks stuffed with whatever they got from the bank. The
twins opened the back of the van to place the sacks then themselves
back in the van. Meanwhile, Roger strode over to the front passenger
seat. It was at that moment, that a homeless man walked right in front
of the van from the side opposite to Chloe. She nearly went to call out
to tell him to get away, but resisted due to not wanting herself to be
exposed. The homeless man was muttering something under his breath,
before bumping into Roger. Without a single word, Roger with his bolt
cutter, slammed it right into the man's head. He fell slowly, the blood
dripping from his head down to the ground as he slummed forward. Joey
saw it and yelled out from inside the van. Roger then got back into the
van, clamped his hand around Joey's mouth before pushing him off the
driver's seat. Yikes, Chloe thought, that might not have been part of
the plan.
She ducked quickly out of the way as the van sped away. As soon as it
was past, Chloe called up Morton, "Hey Morton do you copy? Over," in a
very urgent tone. "Hey, I hear you, M-what happened? I heard something
but it must have been out of my sight range here," Morton replied back
with a concern tinging his voice. "Oh I am alright, but they got away,
with what I don't know. And one of them actually killed a homeless man
who ended here at the wrong place, wrong time-Over," she hastily spoke
back. A silence followed then a solemn utterance from Morton: "Alright
let's head back..... we shall figure something out; Shame you didn't
have a weapon on you." End of conversation, it seems, Chloe thought. Oh
well, we can't always capture them.
Of course, just as the van was heading out of the sight, she heard a
brief popping sound. She turned out to look, seeing the van wobbling
over a bit on the right. She couldn't quite make it out, but it must a
quite apt crack shot to a tire as the van wobbled some more before
stopping. Roger, the twins and Joey all get out and split up it would
seem, perhaps they have some alternate methods to getting back. She saw
the twins lugging the sacks on their backs, with roger following behind
with Joey limping a bit. Ah, he must have bruised his leg during the
jostling of the van. Oh dear, how it isn't too bad, Chloe thought
before realizing the shot must have come from something away from where
Morton was at. Ah no matter, just hope that Joey is ok for now. Chloe
made her way back to the spot where Morton was keeping watch and then
the two embark back to the safe-house. She left a pang of guilt for not
saving the homeless man, but nothing could be done about that now.
Off in the distance, watching Chloe and Morton heading off, was the
mysterious figure who fired that shot. The figure stood tall, and after
putting away their shotgun into a briefcase, made their way out as
well. But not before uttering to themselves, in a rough Eastern
European accent, "Aha, so there you are, my little fern flower-be
seeing you soon heh," as the figure descended down from their keep and
leaving into the maroon November dusk.
Morton and Chloe made their way back to the safe house without a word.
Morton had made sure to call 911 anonymously once they were out of
sight, hopefully that poor soul would be saved by then, but doubtful.
He glanced over to Chloe, who was wearing a sheer black tight suit
around her body except for her head, though covered slightly in a hood.
Morton could tell Chloe's persona had taken quite a hit today with that
revelation. No doubt M was reeling as well, but likely for different
reasons. Might be best to leave M be for tonight once we get back, I'll
get in touch with the Agency and come up with a recouping strategy,
then getting to bed.
As they got back inside, Morton turned to Chloe and said quietly, "Well
I'll take care of contacting the Agency then I'm off to sleep. You have
a good rest of the night, try not to dwell on things too much" his
voice tinged with concern. Chloe looked at him, unsure about what
exactly he meant by that. She strode over to the bathroom, the tight
lyrca was itching her in places and she needed to get it off with
haste.
She entered the bathroom, first removing the black hood over her head,
revealing her feminine countenance. She twisted and turned, for a
moment loving the sheer dark lyrca bodysuit encasing her figure, even
it was fake. She then stood erect in place in front of the bathroom
sink and the mirror, staring at herself for a moment. Finally she spoke
but in a detached manner, as if M was making an effort to take control:
"So, Joey is involved...." M started off coldly
"No no, it can't be... it can't be true!" Chloe interrupted with
sadness in her voice
"Oh come on, you knew it was inevitable-I am at least pragmatic about
this matter....oh my..."
"What is it?"
"You developed feelings for him, our target eh?"
"What.... do you mean..... you should know that too, unless you have
been sleeping inside my mind all this time! Also, Joey isn't some
target, he's a nice young man."
"Well in a manner of speaking, yeah though I can make my presence known
through you in subtle ways." M uttered with a sinister grin, marring
Chloe's young female face.
"Oh...and I have known about it the whole time...."
"Well quite, you are nothing more then a mere shell, a construct... and
Joey is no innocent in all this after all...."
"How dare you say I am fake," Chloe raged against, slamming her hand
against the sink hard, then her other hand guided itself to her bosom
"I am as a real, I am Chloe L'Amour, 18 years old, half French born in
Paris but lived abroad a lot of my life....."
M interrupted her, "All of that is fabrication, for the sake of the
mission. I won't let feelings get in the way of the mission... not
after that incident...."
"What incident...?" Chloe answered with concern in her voice.
"Oh don't change the subject, Chloe... anyway we must focus on the task
at hand, figuring out what was stolen today and see what Kurtz is
planning to do, then deal with him...."
"What do you mean by that....oh dear god, no, Joey would be hurt badly
if something happened to him, his mother already dead some years
ago..."
"Oh please, maybe that was made up.... you don't know it was brought up
that one time. See that's your problem, your too trusting towards Joey
and its clouding your judgement...."
"I am thinking clearly, and I believe Joey shouldn't be punished for
crimes his father committed...." Chloe then laid her hands to her head,
crying her eyes out, sobbing.
It was that moment when M realized that the constructed persona of
Chloe was going out of control. He needed to assert control quickly or
risk losing himself to her...no that would not happen again, M pondered
to himself. He then placed Chloe's hands over her nice bosom and
figure, kneading into the lycra softly then began to tug at it, the
breasts moving around underneath or so it would seem.
"Wait what are you doing? Stop that.... you have no idea how hard it
was for me to put this on.... please" Chloe cried out as M tore into
the lycra revealing a flat chest encased in white, the breasts nothing
more then forms sewn into the suit. M continued to pull off the suit,
taking with it Chloe's nice female figure. He got down to the crotch,
flat and female then plastered a malicious grin.
"No... don't dare you....." Chloe pleaded as M grabbed down the suit,
revealing underneath not smooth female slit but a flat crotch area
wrapped in skin latex, mimicking one. He then tugged that down, as his
own penis distended from its secret place, but that too wrapped in
clear plastic but had a slight hole for peeing. He then grabbed the
suit and tossed it aside in the bathroom. "
"Ah so good to have that out again...." M remarked as he saw his
androgynous body with Chloe's head atop that. By that point he felt
Chloe's personality fading fast.... but was still struggling against
him. "No no, please, my body...I am in so pain right now...." Chloe
pleaded but to no avail. M disregarded her as he began taking off the
Chloe identity off-her dazzling smile and her glimmering blue eyes
removed with detached ease. Then he grabbed the flap of the head mask
and pulled it off his head, distending Chloe's features from his own.
He stared at himself in the mirror, his bald head, with some loose
white wrapping around parts of his head and neck, likely hiding some
old wounds and scars. He then felt a pang of physical pain as the
wrapping had gotten loose under the mask and suit, and the bare air was
brushing up against those now. He left Chloe receding back into his
subconsciousness, as she would be at night.
Whew nearly lost myself again, never again with that... M reflected on
as he grabbed the lyrca suit and the Chloe mask, headed off to his
dreamless slumber. Would Joey accept the real me, he wondered.
...........
The Monday after Thanks giving break, Chloe was walking down the hall
when she spotted Joey. She noted his slight limp in his right leg. She
simply stopped him and asked, rather plainly, "Oh hi Joey welcome back,
hope you had a good Thanksgiving break...say what happened to your
leg", her voice tinged with worry. Joey darted his eyes away from her,
then replied back tersely, "Oh well I tripped and bruised my leg while
helping my dad this past weekend... it's nothing to worry about",
waving his hand in a dismissive manner before walking away. Chloe
looked back, forlorn, figuring out what happened to cause Joey to lie.
Oh well, she thought, I need to focus on semester finals coming up next
week before the winter holiday break. She stepped along past Joey,
thinking that in the end everything will work out. But in the back of
her mind's realm, M sat there stewing, thinking about what next step to
take.
........
So, the end of the semester was drawing to a close. Chloe was studying
intently, with assistance from Claire, in order to do her best on the
finals. Senior English Comp, Economics and PreCalculus were the
standard 30-40 questions, multiple choice and some extended response.
Her Music class the final involved her performing a piece she had been
practicing all semester long, the 3 Gymnopedies by Erik Satie. She
performed it admirably and got high marks from Ms Stevenson and was
even recommend her to take Music 2 for the spring term. Chloe took the
praise with humility and said that she would think.
While in class studying up for the finals next week, she heard a voice
pipe out from the intercom "Chloe L'Amour..... your aunt is here to see
you, please come down to the front office.." She immediately froze in
place.... I don't have an aunt, Chloe realized, uneasy about what to
do.
Next week: Whew what a cliffhanger, anyway a surprise guest enters back
into Chloe/M's life and that is all I am saying. Until next time, dear
