I can be strong or run fast or jump high or react quickly or shock people but if I use more than one power at a time it goes down. She picked out her own choices but let Alice choose several that Alice thought might look nice on her. Alice asked Morgan if she had her MID, to which Morgan showed it and Taurus added, "they are going to make a huge mistake. They really don't believe that they have no right to just snatch people in public in the name of 'stopping a dangerous mutant'. They aren't cops and never have been, so they have no right to even act like mutant police even if the Goodkinds make you think that they organization are that." When they tried to make a move towards the exit, one of the MCO agents yelled, "There it is! The kid with the old woman and her son! Stop that freak before it gets away!" Taurus shook his head at that, the MCO agents made their intentions clear and Morgan hadn't done any possible thing to cause any reaction from them. They boxed them in and grabbed Morgan, leading her to kick and punch her way free but only causing the agents to slam handcuffs on her as they tried hard to drag her away from Taurus and Alice. Taurus was being held back but as soon as Morgan yelled out he flung the three grabbing him off of him. He loudly yelled out, "Let my granddaughter go!' Two more agents tried to handcuff him for trying to interfere with their arrest of a dangerous mutant as they yelled out to him but only led to them being flung off and Taurus moving forward towards the agents trying to drag Morgan off. Morgan finally hit the agents hard in the groins then kicked out their ankles, leading two agents to call out, "Shoot the freak! Kill both of them before they kill us!" Before the agents could reach for their guns, multiple men in suits drew their own and yelled, "Freeze, Massachusetts State Police! You are under arrest for attempted kidnapping and assault!" Taurus stood strong over the agents while the ones trying to hold Morgan blurted out, "Shoot them! They are resisting arrest! They hurt our agents, they are dangerous menaces who need to be killed!" The officers just smirked. One walked forward and boldly proclaimed, "You have no authority to arrest anyone. You are not now nor have ever been law enforcement. You are trying to kidnap that kid and have assaulted her guardian in the process. You aren't going anywhere, they are free to go." The lead officer happily explained to them, "You may be agents of the Mutant Commission Office, but you had no law enforcement rights in the continental United States. I don't give a damn what you can do in other countries, you have no rights here to detain nor kidnap people nor do you have a right to kill unarmed people just because they are resisting being kidnapped by you. You never identified who you were nor did you even attempt to contact us about a potential problem as you clearly were waiting for these people to leave that store. We know exactly who these people are and we know that you have no right to question them as they have done nothing to warrant your even trying to question them. Save the theatrics for your next Humanity First meeting, your kind aren't welcome in Massachusetts." Morgan was given the once-over by EMS as the MCO agents were taken into custody, had their all of their weapons seized including multiple illegal weapons that they would have to answer for, and were sent to the nearest barracks to await their arraignments on the two charges. The agents fought the officers, prompting a response from more officers and more charges against them for assault, this time on police officers. It was a wild scene, especially when the media got involved and the MCO had to react to their agents going rogue in an "unsanctioned action." Morgan was upset at what happened but Taurus assured her that they were going to get what they had coming to them - they broke the law, they stepped outside their authority and tried to hurt her, and they had to tell the truth or they were going to end up in prison for worse crimes as it wasn't the first time that any of them had done that to innocent mutants. Taurus drove home and made them an early dinner since they had missed lunch. He handled himself well in front of the grill, to which Alice giggled and told her, "He's pretty good with it. I love him to death but it's the only thing I trust him with since he isn't that good near a stove. If given half a chance, he'd burn water making tea." The meal was quiet as Morgan ate her fill and enjoyed Alice's whipped cream pie for dessert. She let Morgan help her make it while Taurus cooked, giving Morgan something to do and letting her get her frustrations out over the MCO incident. It helped a lot, she felt better after whipping furiously until the whipped cream got to the right consistency then whipped the chocolate until it got incorporated. After dinner, Morgan was told to swim in the pool so she could get some exercise and cool off while the couple talked with expected visitors. Morgan knew to look in her room for a swimsuit and found a one-piece that fit her but it took a little bit of time to tuck her male anatomy so you couldn't see it. She preened in front of the mirror on the closet door, causing Alice to shake her head at the memories of each of the girls doing that at one point. It was funny as it was the same pose her cousin made when she last visited them and showed her powers to them. It was a tense meeting, but she had to have it explained that it wasn't entirely wise to do that so often as it comes off as being narcissistic. The swim relaxed her and got her thinking about her cousin and what she was like. She had not had a lot of interaction with kids over the years and hoped that her cousin was alright with her being there. Worst case, she would gladly give her distance and let their grandparents spoil her cousin. As Morgan was swimming, Taurus had unwanted visitors. He knew they would be coming to try to force him to give Morgan over to the MCO or face their wrath, but he wasn't budging. He had an ace up his sleeve and would gladly use it when they stepped over the line and threatened him directly. They may be local politicians, but they were hypocritical Humanity First hacks. They talked civil liberties for all, but gave to a hate group. They were pure scum and he would happily take them down for threatening his family no matter what they threatened to do to him in retaliation. They knew that he was a mutant and frequently threatened to turn him over to the MCO if he didn't sell his bar to certain people or buy certain beers and liquors from certain people, all of whom were paying them for the right to operate in their city. The more they tried to act like upstanding citizens, the fewer supporters they actually had and after the most recent municipal election they were on their last legs. He just smiled at them, asked, "On what grounds," then shot back, "I am known to them and everyone who has Google. I never hid my identity and served my time in prison. I operated before the whole DPA required MID acts so am grandfathered in. I have not broken the law and paid all taxes so you have no basis to threaten me. By all means, continue threatening a law abiding citizen and see where that leads. I'm on good terms with the attorney general of the state, he's more than happy to ask you why you feel the need to threaten a citizen who paid his debt to society by violating his civil rights." This time, they were going after Morgan and would not hesitate to use force to get her. Taurus wasn't in the mood to play their games and had his lawyer there and several invited guests who would set the group straight as well as ask their own involvement as Morgan had never broken any laws nor had she done anything to cause the MCO to come after her making their knowledge suspicious. He wasn't fooling around, he told them point blank, "Come after her again and I'm coming after you. I know you have no right to harass her nor do you have any reason to have the MCO investigate her. I know that they were told about her by my son, something that I personally will deal with. The MCO is going to back off, you are on your own and your Humanity First friends can't save you. By all means, try to go after my granddaughter. Hell has no fury like the people she has supporting her. And I don't mean just myself, you will find out just who she has supporting her and they won't accept anything but pure payment in blood."
