Morgan was told to go to her next class and security would see her afterward to get her side of the story. She knew she would be in trouble, but he assured her it was going to be alright. Pythagoras didn't say anything but when she left class security was waiting for her. She told them what happened and asked where she kept her stun gun that Microbyte claimed she had shot him with. That led to laughs as all around her started to clamor that she didn't have one and that he was lying. She was led away to Kane Hall to be interrogated but once there, the officers were told to release her and apologize to her for ignoring protocol in believing the lies of a know liar who was actually the one who had the unregisterred stun gun on campus. Newly appointed Chief Samantha Everheart wasn't fooling around and loudly told them, "It's in her file that she can create an energy jolt as a quick defense mechanism to protect her from assault. Things didn't get any better for him as he was forced to drop the class as he had shown that he was a danger to Morgan and willing to harm another student due to his jealousy. The school forced him to seek counseling for his Diedrick's Syndrome, if he refused to get help he would be expelled if/when he had a case of it and it would likely mean being blacklisted from any reputable computer and technology company on Earth. During Basic Martial Arts, Microbyte tried to get his revenge against Morgan as soon as she exited the locker room but was stopped by Ito Soke who proceeded to use him as an example of what happens when you dishonor his dojo. He was all but broken as Ito Soke flipped him hard and fast multiple times without giving him a chance to use any of his weapons to fight back. Microbyte angrily told Ito Soke that he would ensure he died a painful death for daring to stop him from achieving his rightful place as the greatest gadgeteer in the world. That caused the students to laugh loud and hard at him, which only caused him to grow angrier as the sound reverberated through the dojo. Tolman Sensei flung him into the locker room and ensured that he changed and left while Ito Soke started class as normal. After class, Ito Soke asked to talk with her. She told him firmly, "I did not provoke him. He is having a severe case of Diedrick's Syndrome and needs to get help. Megan was wisely giving them space, having herself spent the night in Molly's bed as she didn't want to ruin the duo's moment by saying the wrong thing to break their emotional moment. After showering and breakfast, Mr. Babich told Molly that her parents were expected shortly as they had been spotted in Dunwich by her aunt. Molly nodded then told Megan, "My parents are going to be coming by to use me for their TV show. My aunt is trying to get them to give custody to your mom so I can be rid of them. They knew that security would stop their camera crew and are trying to film discretely." Mr. Mazarin asked her to take control of the cameras and delete all footage then destroy all of the hard drives. Morgan nodded, sent two tendrils out that struck the couple in their shoulders and saw a sizzle and spark as their cameras self-destructed while a loud whine of feedback was heard emanating from their ears. Morgan concentrated, then told Mr. Mazarin, "All footage and audio is destroyed. All hard drives are wiped clean and all backup copies destroyed. They are now clear to talk to. The camera crew and producer are fighting with security as we speak, they are trying to fight their way inside." Mr. Turner nodded so Mr. Mazarin left to deal with the issue. Morgan then told the couple, "Why are you working for Humanity First? Your crew members are all part of them, I cross-referenced their IDs with known rosters of members. This isn't about Molly, is it? It's all about using her to advance some message Humanity First is trying to send about certain mutants. She doesn't fit your narrow view on what mutants should be so you are trying to create a fake situation to explain why she isn't in your life anymore - you were trying to get her killed and are using Humanity First as patsies!" Morgan was in tears while Mr. Turner smirked and announced, "This is a new level of low. You two are supposedly 'Christian mutants' as per your claims and are willing to murder someone because they don't fit your views on what it means to be a person. Squeaky asked for the details then spoke with one of his associates who was dining in the main room. A few minutes later, he explained to the two, "They will be having a rough go in federal detention. Word is getting around fast about them and none of it is good. They broke the truce, the Syndicate is ensuring a rough time in custody in Roxbury and the heroes are doing their best to round up the other conspirators out in California. You are old enough to voice your opinion, you have a say in this." Molly shed a tear and in a voice barely above a whisper stated, "I love Aunt Maya more than any other person. She has been better to me than any other person I have ever met. I can't think of a better mother than her. I'm jealous that Megan really is her daughter, even if she isn't physically her father anymore. I know my sisters will see this the same way, they love Aunt Maya and will love mom as their mom too." Molly was in tears causing Alice to hug and kiss her, explaining, "I had to hear it myself. I am proud of you. You were kind enough to help the girls when they needed someone to help them and you brought Maya and Lillian together even if they have been a couple for 22 years. Welcome to our family." Mathias angrily told him that he was on his own, knowing that if the plot had failed then something happened to his brother-in-law and his wife to scuttle the plot. Mathias knew he had to bide his time, he stuck his neck out trying to take care of a loose end in Molly but this was getting even more complicated. Molly had protection somehow, he'd find out who it was and eliminate it. He had no clue that her protection was his own parents and sister, making any attempt to get at her directly again impossible. The two climbed into bed with her and hugged her tightly, feeling her warmth for a bit while Molly became fully awake. It was followed by a flash and Alice smiling at the trio, with Lillian telling them to get dressed as they had to make a trip to the farm for the daily duties. Megan groaned and complained about Bessie being upset at her again while Molly didn't know what to do. Maya handed her clothes and exited, with Lillian telling her that she wouldn't have to do anything yet. Molly got dressed quickly, with Maya helping her get dressed and telling her that she needed a new bra since her old one was getting too tight for her. Molly smiled at that, shedding a tear and softly telling her, "Thanks mom." Maya hugged and kissed her, trying hard to not cry herself at the maternal feelings. The girls were waiting outside, letting the couple have that special moment as they realized just how it was going to be from now on with them. Molly was going to be Megan's sister, leaving Morgan to still be her cousin. Megan knew what she was thinking and asked, "Do you want her as a mom too?" Morgan looked away in shame. Megan hugged her tightly and told her, "We can ask. Aunt Megan might have been happy for you to be mom and mom's daughter." Alice kept silent but felt bad about forgetting about Morgan's situation. She was in their care legally, it wasn't fair to her that she was all alone while Molly and her sisters were about to become her aunt's new daughters. She'd have a talk with Lilian about Morgan as soon as she got back from Whateley. Their moment was broken-up by Taurus entering the house with two little girls, roughly 10-years-old and both sporting long blonde hair and blue eyes. They were beautiful, with Morgan vocalizing it to the girls' giggles. She gathered her wits, smiled at them, then much to their enjoyment beat a hasty retreat. Molly heard their giggling and ran to them, crying as she saw the girls and looking to Maya for answers while the twins hugged her deeply. Maya knelt down and explained to all three girls, "Amy and Abby are going to become your sisters. When Mark and Grace signed over custody they did it for all three girls. They flew overnight at my expense to get here, so while you three go back to school the girls will be sleeping. Enjoy the day with them though, we have a lot of work to do before you go back." The twins were led to the bedroom Molly had slept in the night before and dropped their bags, with the twins putting their clothes away before putting on their swimsuits to enjoy the pool after breakfast and the trip to the farm to feed the animals and milk Bessie. The group then ate quickly with the twins smiling throughout their meal while looking longingly at their new parents. The duo shared a single mind about almost all things, they didn't care one bit that Maya was about to marry a woman so long as Maya and Lillian loved them as their own daughters. After returning from the farm and seeing Bessie complain about the two hyperactive girls being there, the girls sunned themselves in the sun room before it was time to leave. Abby and Amy hugged and kissed Maya and Lillian, with each calling them "Mom" as they did so. The twins had bright smiles that never left their faces and were genuinely sad to see them leave but enjoyed spending time with Alice as she helped them get ready for their own trip to Plainville that evening to get settled in down there. The ride back north was quiet as the girls finished their homework, something that Maya insisted on as she hadn't seen them doing any of it the day before. Molly had a look of love as Maya said that, little things like that resonated in her and showed how much Maya truly cared about them. It was something that Grace Woods never did for her before, it was, "beneath her" to take care of the kids so a subtle bit of mothering went a long way in Molly's eyes. Once at the school, the trio were inundated with questions by the other Poesies. Morgan took the lead and told all of them, "You joked about us being so close before, well it turns out that there's a very good reason for that: we are all related. Megan's sperm donor, Molly's dad, and my mom are all siblings." She knew that they'd ask about it so she explained, "Yesterday Molly's parents tried to do something horrible to her under the guise of getting sympathy for their fledgling superhero careers and bad TV show. The are trying to make a reality show about their lives but were really using it as a way of getting her kidnapped from the school and killed by the Humanity First people in her home state. They were foiled by Mr. Turner and security, so she and her sisters were turned over to Aunt Maya and she and Megan's mom decided to adopt them. They are also adopting me as well since my grandparents have full custody of me. All of us are going to be sisters, as are Molly's twin sisters. We are all related by blood, even if we never knew it." Expecting questions, Megan blurted out, "Yes, my mom is marrying a woman. She's the one who is my real 'father'. She's a changeling like mom and I and Morgan's dad, but she had a lot more time in her change to becoming a girl so she saved some sperm to make a baby. She and mom have been close since they met in this cottage and only admitted that they were in love with each other yesterday. They can't have any children due to mom's issues giving birth to me, so they are happy to adopt all four of the girls as their own daughters." Mr. Babich broke up the discussion by telling them it was time for bed, letting the trio decompress and let the weekend's events settle in. Mrs. Horton had to hide her smile at the whole turn of events, telling the younger man, "Teams Kimba and Shenanigans were a hoot and a half but that trio have made this year a year to remember. It's like a living soap opera with the things that happen around them." ---------------------- September 11th, 2016 Poe Cottage, Whateley Academy The trio awoke and got ready for their day. The school was abuzz as usual, with the girls going about their normal business. The junior high kids asked about their weekend but only received a few quick, "Went home," and, "Went swimming," from the girls, with their family being from the Boston area it was within reason that they could visit home and not do much all weekend once home. That afternoon, Molly was told that they would receive a new student in the junior high program who would need to be talked to as she wasn't a changeling like Morgan and Megan. Molly understood what it meant, she was a lesbian and was being placed in Poe due to her sexuality. If she was already out of the closet at her age she must have had a rough go at her old school making her not hide her sexuality. She confirmed this by asking why she was being place in Poe, with Mr. Babich explaining, "She was brutalized at her old school when she was caught by her girlfriend's parents kissing their daughter. They tried to beat her senseless but ended up causing her to manifest and nearly burn down their apartment building. She needs a safe place to stay as she deals with her new powers. Please treat her well and let her know that we won't accept discrimination when she is told about changelings." Molly met the new girl just after dinner and showed her inside. Mr. Babich explained about the cottage and how unique it was then told her that there were girls who weren't born as girls who were going to be close by. She nodded, explaining that she didn't care about that as she knew to keep to herself and didn't want to hurt someone for being different when she herself was different. Molly helped her unpack as she insisted on staying with Molly as she didn't feel comfortable being all alone just yet. Molly excused herself as she heard Morgan and Megan entering, telling the two girls to be quiet as she had someone to introduce to them. She opened her door and two gasps were heard. Morgan mumbled a scared, "Becky?" The girl offered an overly happy, "Morgan!" Both said a shocked, "What are you doing here?"
