Things settled into a groove and saw Stan starting to work with the boys
about defending themselves so they could stand by Jeff if someone tried
another go at him. The boys' fathers were a bit put-off about it but it
was clear why: they were jealous of Stan and what he could do that they
couldn't do. All four of the boys did well, so well that Stan thought
that they could make a go if they ever wanted to go pro.
The intense training saw the boys putting on muscles which caught the
eyes of all of the girls but the trio who were friends with them were
the only ones whom they had eyes for. Jeff was happy that all of them
had found girlfriends as it meant there was no jealousy, just
companionship. The group was also tighter knit than most other groups
with the couples fawning over one another much to the annoyance of all
of the other couples in their school.
Dating took its toll on the bullies as their antics fell flat with the
girls. The group who tried to go after Jeff were the worst of the worst
among the bullies and blamed him for their fall from grace, making the
bullies try to go after him again despite restraining orders against
them. It was a foolish endeavor, but it didn't stop them from trying to
score "cool points" with all of the boys in school as well as the girls.
The boys struck the group of four when they thought that they were most
vulnerable: with the girls on the way home away from school but within
view of the whole school. It was the worst possible idea as it was no
longer a school matter, it was criminal matter for them. They had broken
the restraining order and had assaulted Jeff as well as gone after three
boys whom they had no reason to assault.
The whole school saw them going after Jeff and the boys but were shocked
ot see that all four boys able to defend themselves and turned the fight
around easily as they knocked the boys out cold in a matter of seconds
without suffering more than a few bruises on their knuckles. The school
laughed as the boys were laying on the ground when deputies came to
break the fight up, with Stan standing by to happily tell the deputies
that the boys on the group assaulted the four boys. Other parents
laughed and told the deputies that Stan was telling the truth and that
it was on camera for all to see.
It was clear that they wouldn't get their way, the deputies were
informed via their radios that all of the boys were to be detained until
the State Police arrived due to familial closeness and that they weren't
to involve themselves in the situation any longer. The school resource
officer took custody of the boys and told his colleagues that their sons
would be arrested for assault and violating a restraining order as she
had seen the security camera footage of the assault. Jeff and his
friends were the victims, it was a clear assault by the other boys and
was a targeted assault at that: they were waiting for the boys to come
by.
Inside the school, Otis Pyle was forced to expel the boys while troopers
watched the footage, took a look at the restraining order, then asked
why the boys weren't moved to another middle school as they were
supposed to stay 100 feet away from Jeff. There wasn't an excuse, the
town had a second middle school which was actually closer to the boys'
homes making them being there suspicious. Their parents had a lot of
explaining to do, while Otis was forced to explain why they weren't
expelled back when the boys attacked Jeff the first time weeks before.
The boys were hauled off the State Police barracks in Bangor while their
parents were questioned and forced to admit that they had bribed the
school superintendent to allow their sons to remain in school because
the boys had been expelled from the middle school near their homes. The
assistant district attorney asked if they had just admitted to a crime
to which they decided that admitting the truth was better than being a
pariah in town now that their sons were exposed as being a bunch of
thugs. The families accepted plea bargains and fines, then declared
bankruptcy to avoid losing everything now that they were open for a
lawsuit from Sarah over harassment and assault against Jeff.
Jeff didn't care about what happened to them, he was just glad that the
school was rid of them. All of the boys were happy to be more open now
that they had nothing to fear at school, they were the top dog at the
school. Jeff was the leader of the pack, except he had no intention of
ever acting like it.
Things quieted down for the next two months until Sarah received a phone
call from someone that she was dreading. She steeled herself and asked
what he wanted from her. The man authoritatively stated, "I was going to
be in the area thanks to my company doing a tour of New England and I
was hoping to be able to see my niece and nephew for my niece's 2nd
birthday party. I know that it's coming up and you didn't have a chance
to do anything last year because of what happened to Jimmy."
She was at a loss for words, she didn't want to say anything to him
about Stan but felt that it was going to be unavoidable. She sadly told
him, "We weren't going to do anything for her, just a cake. She's not
into anything big and doesn't like to go to daycare so I didn't want to
throw anything for her. If you're in the area then I guess I have to let
you come, but please don't freak out when you see the other guest that's
going to be here for the part. And don't go overboard with Jeff, he is
in a tough state at school."
The time passed fast and saw Sarah putting together a small party.
Jeff's girlfriend Mila was there and had to endure Jaimie's affection
again, with the little girl loving having a, "Big girl" there even if
she was really there for Jeff and not her. Stan was there but got ready
for trouble, he hoped that it didn't come to that but it was possible.
Steve Cole called Sarah to ask where she was as there was nobody home at
the house. Sarah sighed and told him, "I sold the house and moved in
with our neighbor. It's not far away, it's hard to miss."
A few minutes later Steve pulled into the driveway and hugged Jeff and
Sarah at the door. Jaimie ran to him to get attention, with her grinning
at meeting the new man. Sarah happily told Jaimie, "This is your uncle
Steve, he came for your party. Why don't you go back to the parlor and
watch TV with Mila."
Jaimie was led away by Mila whom Steve asked about. Jeff blushed and ran
off, Sarah told a grinning Steve, "She's his girlfriend. My little boy
is a little man now and has a girl who likes to be with him. They've
been together three months, he's doing better with her than his father
did with me."
Steve shook his head and smiled, his nephew was already showing that he
was like his dad and happily attached to a beautiful young woman. Jimmy
would be happy: she was a knockout. She even showed it was a good match
as she handled Jaimie like a pro, with the little girl hugging her tight
on the couch.
Sarah sat Steve down in the dining room and had a serious look on her
face. She timidly confessed to a perplexed Steve, "I have some news to
tell you. When we moved here we did so at your insistence, you said that
it was a great place as a bunch of your colleagues talked about it with
you. They had a reason for doing this: your father lives here. They told
you about this place because he told them that he lived here. They were
being sly, they were trying to get you to see him. It worked, in a way.
He's upstairs and won't come down if you don't want him here. He owns
the house, we moved in with him after he and Jeff met out at Stan's
cabin. We couldn't refuse his offer, he and Jeff were so close."
She looked away in shame and somberly told him, "Jeff took after your
father in a lot of ways, not just in looks: he's a crossdresser like
Stan. He was dressing at the cabin when Stan found him. The two got
close and saw Stan and I talk. After Stan started to teach Jeff boxing I
discovered the truth about him."
Steve asked if she was kidding. Sarah nodded then added, "He has the
same picture that you and Jimmy had in your houses: you two and your
mom. He has all of his wrestling things in his office and over at his
cabin. I saw the picture and couldn't help but see the resemblance to
Jeff. Jeff takes after him in all but personality, sadly he takes after
me there. Stan has treated me like a daughter, Jeff and Jaimie love him.
Please, don't spoil this for Jaimie: it'd break her heart."
Steve went upstairs to his father's bedroom and entered. Stan was
sitting in a chair reading and told the towering Steve, "Yes, he's like
me. No, I didn't force him. He started doing it a few years ago. He did
it with your brother's blessing. Jimmy was well-aware of stuff like that
through his friend and colleague. I tried to stay away from the two of
you but Sarah moving here was fate. Jeff is doing a lot better with me
in his life and Jaimie is starting to grow beyond a pain in the neck.
Sarah is working hard and tries to be a good mother, but she needs help.
I'm trying to help her as best I can, especially with Jeff."
Steve sat down and asked if he was done wrestling or was he going to die
in the ring as his mom tried to claim. Stan growled, "If I even think
about setting foot in the ring Jeff said he'd knock me out cold. I can't
wrestle again, I'm only ever allowed to just talk and make a promo
before leaving and letting the younger guys do the dirty work. I'm
retired, I'm not disabled yet but I'm not ever going to be cleared to do
anything in the ring. Hell, I can't even do my signature move because my
heart would spike."
Steve asked about the dressing. Stan all but shouted, "I never stopped
and I never forced it on anyone. I did it for a year to get the women
over and it worked beyond all expectations. You saw it yourself: I'm a
huge reason for four women being champion and ending the careers of
another three beauty queens with no abilities and no brains in their
heads. I'd do it again too, those ladies deserved the spotlight. It's
why all of them gave up a title shot to help me at Wrestlecade. They
were paying me back for the help."
Stan confirmed what the ladies and other wrestlers had told him: Stan
was finished and the women had a huge place in their hearts for what he
did for them. It was clear that Stan wasn't going to do any sort of in-
ring work anymore especially with Jeff and Jaimie in his life.
Steve sat down and explained to his father, "I needed to know. Mom is a
psycho about you, she was the worst mother you could ever have and hated
you with a passion. We know why- you looked better as a woman than she
ever did. We were lied to about you and lived our lives without knowing
if you had to be a woman permanently or if you were doing it for
kayfabe. Mom never told us about your passion, it was always her calling
you a pervert. Jimmy finally shut her up by cutting off all contact with
us but it cost him a lot of money. He needed friends to help him get it
all back and mom to be forced to leave all of us alone. She's in a
mental institution after going after a deputy last year, her mind
finally broke. It took Jimmy's death for her to finally snap. If she
heard that Jeff was like you she'd do whatever it takes to get him even
if it meant breaking out of the mental hospital."
Stan asked about Steve. Steve angrily told him, "I did what Jimmy tried
to do and failed: I followed in your footsteps to be a wrestler. I do OK
with it but most of it is me fighting your legacy and trying to do it
all by myself. I've won a bunch of titles but nothing big. I'm on King
Reign's list of guys never to hire because of my connection to you, but
that's been slowly changing ever since he got kicked out of GCW. Vince
has been using me as one of the trainers for new jobbers on camera, I've
been on TV a few times when they've been in Kansas City but it's tough
to get a fulltime job with them. Your clout is there, but I refuse to
use it. They want me but I won't do a legacy angle."
Stan shook his head and mercilessly shot back, "You're trained by some
of the greatest ever to grace a GCW ring despite being my son. I know
damn well that you were trained by them, there's no way in hell that you
didn't go all the way down to Florida to train with a couple of the guys
down there. Hell, knowing them you were put with Killer Gagne and his
lot to train for power and submissions."
Steve nodded, to which Stan shot back, "King is gone. I stayed out of
all of that nonsense with him but I know full well that Vince's family
forced him out and made him suffer. I heard rumors about people in
Boston helping Vince get control from him and giving it to his daughter
but I haven't confirmed it. All I know is that with King gone you have a
job with the company and likely a title run. Don't hesitate to do it,
take the plunge and join them. You have the chops, earn the money while
you can."
Stan thought it over and laughed: he would be a good fit for multiple
storylines going on right that day and would shoot his stardom through
the roof. Steve had a big upside even if only having a few years to do
it. He was never going to be a Hall of Famer, but he'd be one of the
best short-termers to wrestle.
Stan wisely told his son, "Vince will listen to me when I call. If I ask
something of him, he'll do it. I'm doing this for you for your sake, you
earned your stripes in the indies and should have been with GCW years
ago. You have talent, I saw it when you were four. Please, do it for
yourself."
Stan pulled out his phone and dialed Vince Turner directly. When Vince
answered, Stan calmly asked, "I have a favor to call in. My son is
jobbing it up in the Northeast without direction, I know that you're in
need of a good storyline. He's perfect for a legacy wrestler trying to
work his way through the ranks to get his shot at the bigtime. It's what
you're missing: a journey story. And you know there's room on the roster
for a veteran who can mentor the youngsters and he already has a
following among fans. If need be I'll do some appearances to help build
him, I owe you a few anyway."
Vince went silent which to Stan meant that he was thinking hard and Stan
had hit him hard with one of the best ideas to come across in a while.
Vince finally told him, "He can join Dominic Impossible as a duo while
working up the ranks. Th two worked together already and there's a
rivalry there. Dominic is going to win the top belt in two years, I
think your son might be one of the challengers alongside him."
The two hammered out a deal for Steve. It was for $800,000 per year but
bumps up to $1 million with a title win. Stan knew that it was already
set, he'd get that full amount as there was no reason to keep him from
any of the titles, especially the tag team titles and probably the mid-
level title. He was never going to win big title, but would still be
recorded in the annals of history as being a champion.
Steve was told that a contract would be waiting for him in Bangor the
next day, with a plane waiting in Portland to send him to New York.
Steve was in tears, hugging Stan for doing that for him. Stan cried and
softly told his son, "It's what a father does for his kids: help them
get work and ensure their future."
The two walked downstairs and saw Jaimie rushing to Stan for a hug. She
happily called him, "Grampy" to show that he was her grandfather in case
Steve didn't know. Steve saw the love in her eyes as well as a bit of
his brother's mischievousness which was one of the things that irked his
mother most.
Jaimie tried to keep Stan's attention on her while Jeff tried hard to
not be noticed. Mila tried to be supportive but it was awkward to be
there and not know the family history. Steve struggled to not do
anything to set Jeff off while trying hard to think of what to say to
the boy.
After dinner, cake, and presents, Jaimie fell asleep in Stan's lap
allowing the rest to talk freely. Jeff was sure that Steve would ask
about his dressing so tried to take Mila home. Stan saw that she was
concerned so asked her to stay but couldn't repeat what was going to be
told to her.
She agreed, kissing Jeff's cheek and telling him that she wouldn't
abandon him no matter what anyone said to her and wouldn't let anything
come between them. Jeff tried to hold off tears as he told her, "I'm a
crossdresser. My uncle wants to ask about it but is holding back because
of you.'
She nodded and shot back, "Is that all? The guys have done that from
time to time with their girlfriends when we had nothing else to do. It's
normal, I did it a couple of years ago with boys that live next door
before dad scared them off. I like that you're doing it, it means that
you can appreciate me more."
Jeff asked if she was serious, Mila happily told him, "If you don't
believe me I can tell the girls to have a little get-together. I know
they'd love to meet the other you, especially if you can look like
another person. I don't mind you doing it, if it helps you deal with
things then I'd rather that you do it and cope than keep your feelings
bottled inside. Mom and dad sent me to psychologists who told me not to
keep things inside, especially if you have an outlet that helps a lot."
Jeff hugged her and cried into her shoulder. Sarah led them upstairs so
that Jeff could change and show a perplexed Steve his other side and
ease Mila's curiosity. Steve knew not to say anything, this was
something that was months in the making and was something mother and son
needed to do.
Stan sighed and told his son, "That girl is head over heels in love with
that boy. I don't know what she's up to but it's clear that they found
the right person. I hope that Jimmy was like that with Sarah, Jeff is a
chip off of his mother's block. The kids have their parents'
personalities swapped, Jaimie is Jimmy and Jeff is clearly Sarah and if
I may be so bold: he's a lot like you."
Steve laughed and happily told his father, "Oh please, I wasn't so bold.
We dressed in private and did it without you and mom ever knowing.
Jeff's big mistake was getting caught, Jimmy must have recalled our
little tricks and saw the signs because he was always careful to hide it
from mom and you."
Stan shook his head and blurted out, "We knew. It's why we divorced: she
accused me of forcing you to dress as a girl. She accepted my dressing
because she enjoyed being around famous people but when it came to the
two of you doing it she lost her composure. She used a homophobic judge
to get a divorce quickly, but she couldn't get everything from me: I
kept the RV, paid her generous child support, and I had to give her a
settlement big enough to pay for a decent house for you three. She
wouldn't have had anything if my lawyer had his way, she was unfaithful
and earned extra money from prostitution."
Steve nodded at that and shot back, "We never told you about that stuff
because we didn't want you hurt by her 'friends' but if it came down to
a fight we would have sided with you. Mom can be manipulative and
probably had people willing to lie to help her get her way. We hated
living with her, you were there in the city many times but so far away
from us because we couldn't go near you."
Father and son shared a moment of grief over what could have been. Steve
solemnly added, "Mom told us that if we ever got caught dressing as a
girl again she'd cut our balls off and mail them to you. It was just
after she caught us dressed with our friends at their house, all of us
were in each others clothes. We didn't care, the girls wanted to be boys
and we were happy to be girls for them. She freaked and tried to hit us
but was stopped by their parents. Mom moved us to another school and
forbid us from ever doing it again. I haven't dressed since, but I know
that Sarah and Jimmy did it a few times. She hated Sarah, I know that
she's upset that I told her that if she dared going after Jeff and
Jaimie I'd make her regret all of her actions in the past. Some of my
friends were more than willing to repay favors and ensure Sarah was left
alone. Mom hasn't dared call or mail Sarah since, but Sarah's parents
have stopped all contact with her because of mom. They believed lies
that mom told them about Jeff dressing and blamed you. I know now that
it was actually true, but they still wanted nothing to do with Sarah
anymore."
Upstairs, Sarah had Jeff get dressed in his dress then put on his
makeup. Mila stepped out and a few minutes later a girl appeared causing
her to gasp at the sight. She was struggling for words as it was
shocking to see her boyfriend standing in front of her with a beautiful
face and clothes that she had a strong hatred of her owning and wearing
so well.
Jeff was ready to bolt but his girlfriend mumbled a soft, "How is this
possible? You're gorgeous. You're so different, all you did was put
makeup on and wear a dress. You look so different."
Jeff softly explained, "I learned from my dad. He told me that I
shouldn't try to overdo things. I did that when grandpa found me, I
looked horrible. I didn't know how to do makeup, dad wouldn't let me
wear it because he said I was too young. Mom showed me how to wear it
right and how to change it to fit the occasion. I thought it best to
just show how I usually look, even if I went heavier than normal."
She felt an odd feeling inside of herself as she had never felt that way
while looking at a girl. Jeff did a number on her, she longed for this
girl yet she didn't like girls that way. Sarah seemed to understand it,
she smiled and led Jeff downstairs but held his girlfriend back for a
few minutes.
When Jeff was downstairs, Sarah explained to her, "You're feeling what I
felt when his father dressed as a girl for me. It's natural. Everyone
has a little bit of bisexuality in them, some never know it but a lot of
people show it. You like Jeff and you like the person that he is
presenting as despite what your eyes are seeing. You know the truth,
your body likes Jeff for himself and accepts the girl. If Jeff was
really a girl you might have fallen for that girl. If he was transgender
you might have fallen for the inner girl as you know the person and not
the person Jeff was presenting to the world. You love Jeff, you might
not be old enough to act on that love but your body still is feeling
love for Jeff no matter the clothing."
She tried to not cry but lost the battle. Sarah softly told her, "He
loves you too. We can all see it. If not your parents would never have
let you come by tonight. He wants to be close to you, this might have
sealed things with you as a couple. You're meant to be together."
She asked what Sarah meant about Jimmy. Sarah smiled at the memories and
explained, "He was a lot like his father in that he was in touch with
his feminine side. I would dress with him a lot back when in college and
after Jeff was born. He had to give it up because of work but he
accepted Jeff doing it. I'm sure that he did it as a way of connecting
to his father. His father is a crossdresser as well, only he did it in
private. He won't show you how he looks, the best you'll get is old
wrestling footage. He is private, I am happy that he is able to deal
with the tough life that way because it meant he's still around to see
us. I know that it's tough to comprehend, but Jeff is continuing the
family tradition in his own way and did it on his own. His father did
help him a little with outfits, but it's Jeff's decision to dress."
Downstairs, Jeff walked down the stairs and saw Steve gasp in shock.
Stan looked Jeff over and asked if he knew that his lipstick was the
wrong shade causing Steve to come to and look at Jeff closely. Jeff was
beautiful, with Steve easily seeing the Stan and Jimmy in Jeff.
Stan happily told his son, "He's able to do this quickly and with shaky
hands. Sarah taught him to wear certain clothes and proper makeup
skills. The rest is all him, probably his father too."
Steve shook his head and happily told Stan, "You're dead-on there
thinking that. He's Jimmy in all but his demeanor: his father was proud
of his skills and happy to show himself off to me whenever the did it. I
wasn't that good when I dressed and put on makeup, Jimmy was there to
help but I just couldn't get things right. Hell, Jimmy made a better
woman than mom!"
Steve hugged Jeff and happily told him that he was proud that he was
trying hard to something, even if it wasn't what people thought that he
should be. He turned to Stan and asked if he ever went out in his
dresses, to which Stan shook his head and shot back, "I have not been in
a dress outside since I won at WrestleCade 2000. I don't like showing
off, I'd rather dress in private. Plus it's hard to dress when you have
to film movies and write music. I'd be clocked easily, it was easier to
do it in private."
Steve understood, it was just a private thing and he had no interest in
doing it outside. Jeff blushed and told them that he once went out with
his father as a girl to which Steve added, "Knowing Jimmy, you'd have
your hair done up to look different and likely wearing sunglasses and
barrettes. He wouldn't take any chances, he'd take you miles away from
people who knew you so you wouldn't get noticed."
Jeff shed a tear and nodded silently as the memories came to him. Mila
hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek to calm him. Steve happily
added, "He knew better than anyone what you had in you and wouldn't have
done it if it wasn't helping you. He always did that, caring about
others more."
The evening ended with the couple hugging and kissing goodbye. At home,
she told her parents that it was different than anyone expected. They
asked what happened, she confessed to them, "His uncle came by and was
reunited with his grandfather. He learned about what happened to his
father and uncle and why his grandfather wasn't known to him. He told me
a big secret but I can't tell you, sorry."
She realized her mistake and was forced to confess, "He's a
crossdresser! His father and uncle were the same, as is his grandfather.
He looks so great a girl, he only lacks breasts but he looks just like
all of us when we're in dresses. No, I didn't see him naked or in his
underwear. His mom was there and helped him. She helped him learn what
you taught me about makeup and clothes. He's a great girl, he looks as
if he could be her daughter even if he's a boy inside. I know that you
might not like it, but he's such a great guy. I don't care if he does
that stuff, we've done it before with the boys. You know about all that
because you caught us when we were eight. Please, don't break us up. He
needs me, I understand him."
She was in tears and her tone showed that she was serious about him. Her
mother Remy agreed to let them continue to out again while her father
wasn't in a position to argue with his wife. He didn't care for
dressing, but it was better than other things that Jeff could have done
with his daughter.
Inside her room, mother and daughter had a talk about Jeff and her. She
confessed to her mother, "Yes, I love him. I know we're too young to
know better, but I do love him. He's all that I can think about and I
can't stop feeling weird whenever I'm with him. I like how he makes me
feel, he's not like any of the other boys. I know it's not lust, I felt
that for other boys but Jeff makes me feel special."
Remy happily hugged her crying daughter and proclaimed, "That's
definitely love. He is different with you than your friends, I think he
feels the same towards you. He's a good boy for you, even if you two
aren't meant to be together you two will always share a special bond.
The fact that he admitted one of his biggest secrets to you then showed
you speaks volumes about him. He cares about you enough to be hurt by
you leaving him, he knew it was a possibility and accepted it. You
showed that you cared about him as a person and confessed his secret
when you had no other choice. You protected him, that shows that you two
are more than friends: you are lovers, just not physically."
Remy and Mila hugged, with her father silently listening. In their
bedroom he asked if they should do something about Jeff. Remy scolded
him and asked just what was wrong with what Jeff did as he had done
nothing wrong and their daughter kept herself out of trouble and didn't
cross the line.
He tried to come up with an excuse, Remy grinned and shot back, "He
might enjoy the softer side but I am absolutely certain that he's more
of a man than you are. This isn't being a sissy or gay, this is being a
real man: someone who enjoys being someone else. He doesn't do it to
trick guys nor does he do it to get into our daughter's panties. From
the sound of things, it's an unofficial tradition in the Cole family. I
can understand the threat to your manhood, he's what you were taught to
hate by your parents. It's the reason why I refuse to allow Mila
anywhere near them: I don't want her hating people due to a man and
woman who hate everything that is different. You were supposed to be
different than them, the man I fell in love with was open to everything-
including people with quirks. He's a normal boy, he's a good influence
on our daughter and has won her heart. If you can't accept him because
of what he does at home then I don't think we'll last much longer as a
couple. I won't hurt our daughter because of your views on others and
what your parents told you is right and wrong with people."
She laid down the law, he shook his head and shot back, "I want her to
be fine but I just don't trust any boy like that. It's not right. And it
runs in his family? I don't want my daughter dating any of those kind of
boys. What will our neighbors think? What will her friends think?"
She laughed and shot back, "Her friends did it with the other boys when
they were younger! I know for a fact that they did, I found them doing
it and never told them that I knew. The girls are fine with boys in
touch with their feminine side, they know that the boys are harmless.
Jeff Cole is the best boy in school and is a perfect match for our
daughter. You have issues with him but don't ruin this for her!"
She finally put her foot down and told him, "I know about your affairs.
I know about what you really do when I'm at work. I know where you go on
your 'trips to Boston.' If you can't accept Jeff Cole as our daughter's
boyfriend then we're finished. I won't hurt them because you can't stop
being your parents."
He knew that he was in trouble and quickly apologized but it was clear
to his wife that he wasn't going to accept Jeff no matter what he
claimed. Jeff was harmless and was doing more to help their daughter
than anyone had done in years and was worth accepting his dressing if it
meant she was happy. The real issue was that he had shown that he was
just like his parents, which was something that he swore would never
happen but had finally come out in the worst way possible for him.
The next day saw Steve driving Jeff to school and wishing him well, with
Mila hugging Jeff as he got out of the car. Steve was all smiles at the
boy being rushed inside and his friends asking question after question
about the man who had dropped him off. Jeff tried to deflect things but
he had to finally tell them that his uncle had come to visit them for
his sister's birthday party the night before.
Jeff expected snide remarks from the usual boys who always hassled Jeff,
to which they joked that his sister's real father came by to see his
baby and was why Jeff's parents split. Jeff let it slide but when it
started to get worse he finally stood firm and angrily told the boys,
"He's my uncle, not my sister's dad. I know damn well that he isn't
because I know when mom and dad conceived her: I was away for the
weekend with my grandparents. I'd love for you to make those claims in
front of him, he'd be happy to show your fathers just how dumb they
sound because he'd beat their asses easily. He's my uncle, my dad's
older brother: the wrestler Steve Dallas, Stan Dallas' son and newest
GCW superstar."
After school, Steve came to pickup Jeff and was approached by multiple
big men. Steve grinned at the men and asked if they were upset that his
nephew made their sons look foolish or were they going to be the first
people in Maine to end up at the receiving end of one of Steve's catch-
wrestling moves. He had no qualms about defending Jeff from them,
especially if he himself was targeted as well.
Jeff just watched, Steve angrily told the men, "Your sons have some
balls making claims about a family that they have no idea about. They
claimed that my sister-in-law and myself had affairs based on being at
my niece's party. My nephew isn't one to be trifled with, especially
when it comes to his father- may he rest in peace. I'm not sorry that
your sons were humiliated by him, they got what they deserved. You
should be upset that they tried to go after him in the first place
knowing what he can do to them.
None of them had the balls to go after Steve, especially after one of
Jeff's friends laughed at Steve and his actual wrestling background. He
was a champion wrestler in high school and dabbled in MMA in a few
stretches between wrestling contracts. Steve was legitimate bad-ass,
almost as much as his father.
The men lost all nerve when Steve's MMA record was brought up: 10-0 with
10 TKOs. He did better as an MMA fighter than as a wrestler but refused
to play politics with the MMA bodies so returned to his first passion
after refusing to lose his last match to the guy they really wanted as
champion. Steve had a lot of strength and agility that helped his
character, Jeff inherited that from him instead of Jimmy.
Steve led Jeff away while Jeff's friends grinned and explained just how
wrong they were to try to go at Steve: his biography was online and his
accomplishments visible. None of the guys would have dared to take on
Steve if they had known, the coward in them wouldn't let them challenge
a superior fighter- especially one defending himself from an attack.
Jeff was happy to see that his uncle had made a strong impact on his
friends already as they stepped in to defend Jeff right away, with Steve
nodding at that.
In the car, Steve explained to Jeff, "They did something big for you
there: stood up for you against men a lot bigger than them but who had
severely underestimated you. You aren't the meek boy I knew back in
Kansas City, you're a strong young man who can defend himself. And you
have something else: friends who stand their ground with you despite
bigger foes. Dad might not have taught you all of what you're in need of
as a fighter, but he taught you enough. I'll teach you more, I think a
change of scenery for us is in order. I'll talk with your mom and
grandfather about it, your aunt and cousins will be itching to see you
again and I doubt they'll want to leave here."
At home, Steve asked to talk with Stan and Sarah. Sitting them down, he
asked Stan, "My wife hates my current house and the kids are getting
upset over my being away from home. Her family has hated that I was a
wrestler and away from her so much so have given me an ultimatum: retire
and find a 'real' job or they'll stop helping us and try to go after the
kids through socials services. I know that it's asking a lot, but could
we stay here until we find a place?"
Stan looked at Sarah who nodded. Stan happily told him, "There's plenty
of room for you and the kids. I know it'll take some time for them to
get used to the place but it's better than being all alone out in the
sticks with her parents acting that way. I'm there for you. Sarah could
use the company. Jeff might be a sore spot, how will they take his being
a crossdresser or do we have to take things back to the cabin?"
Steve cringed and explained, "My elder daughter is transgender. My son
is fiercely supportive of her. We struggled to get her help, we found a
doctor thanks to Jimmy but it's been tough finding a new one once she
put in for retirement. My in-laws hate that she's transgender, but we
love her regardless and it was for the best. I know it's going to be
tough, but I just want her happy and she is happy as a girl."
Stan nodded and explained, "She's safe here. I'll rip this town and
state to shreds and if I have to I'll ask a few favors from Vince. I
don't know his reasons, but he has tried hard to change how people see
the world of wrestling and transgender people the past couple of years.
I don't know if it's his mellowing or if something else happened but I
haven't kept track of wrestling except the occasional appearance."
Steve asked if he was serious, Stan nodded to which Steve exclaimed:,
"It's because his granddaughter is transgender. Surely you've heard of
Taylor Turner? She is the only person to legitimately hold both a male
title and female title. She's one of the best female wrestlers in the
world. She was outed by King Reign in Boston at WrestleCade in the
biggest scandal in wrestling history. She's why King Reign was oustered
permanently from wrestling. She's why he's in prison. She's why Stacy
Turner is running the company alongside Vince. She's the brains of GCW,
the true heart of the company- not Vince."
Stan sighed and told his son, "I lost all passion for the sport a while
ago and only kept myself active due to commitments to my movies. If not
for them I'd have never been near a ring let alone accept being in a lot
of their major pay-per-views. I guess I should have kept up with things,
I'm proud that Vince did it for Taylor. Hell, if it's who I think it is
then I'm why she started: the kid was always around us and had a big
hand in helping me with the ladies' makeup when she was bored. I didn't
think anything of it, I'm just her godfather and happy that she turned
out well. I honestly didn't know, I hope she did OK."
Steve grinned and explained, "Married with four kids, three naturally
pre-transition and a fourth that she adopted. She's a doctor
specializing in sports medicine and was the one to retire Killer Gagne
from the ring. She reunited him and his sons, kept his business afloat
with new avenues including getting me to learn from Killer's MMA
instructor. She saved my career, she sent some of the indies my contact
info. I got a bunch of gigs over the last five years thanks to her. I
couldn't use you, so she helped me out."
Stan let it go and asked that Steve call his wife and kids to ask them
what they wanted to do. Steve did just that and when his wife asked if
he was serious he sighed and told her, "Dad is serious. There's more
than enough room for the four of us. Jeff and Jaimie could use their
cousins. Sarah is hiding it, but she is in need of someone to talk with
who is her own age. Dad is fine with the kids, he's attached at the hip
to Jaimie. She won't let him go- I mean it, she's hanging off of his
shoulders right this moment."
Jaimie giggled and ran off, with Steve's wife asking if he had told them
about their daughter. He gave a look of sadness and told her, "Remember
all of that stuff I told her about me and Jimmy when we were younger?
Dad and Jeff do it. They're crossdressers. They don't mind her being a
girl so long as she is alright with them dressing as girls but not being
girls. He makes a great girl, dad is OK just not much."
Stan grunted at that, but it was his was of teasing Stan which caused
his wife to laugh and ask to talk to Sarah so that they could hammer out
details. This proved to be a big mistake as Sarah and Steve's wife got
to talking about a lot of things that they hadn't talked about in years
which caused Steve to tell the laughing Stan, "Those two. I swear they
are closer than they want to admit, they've always been able to talk for
hours. Once our kids came she wasn't able to talk much with Sarah and
eventually her parents kept her busy with inane stuff to separate her
from Sarah and Jimmy. Come to think of it, it's about the same time as
our daughter started to make inroads towards being a girl! Son of a gun,
those bastards!"
Stan nodded and shot back, "They must have blamed Jimmy for it. Sarah
was the victim of their getting back at Jimmy for their grandson being
their granddaughter. They needed someone to blame for it, she was the
one that they could go after without it being obvious. The wives are
friends and are rekindling a friendship that was put on hold, Sarah
needs her and from the sound of things she needs Sarah."
When Sarah finally returned, she was in tears. She cried as she told
Steve, "She's going to tell the kids as soon as they're back home. Your
in-laws are upset that you were with Stan, she isn't going to let the
two of them bully her anymore. She is her own woman and your family is
here. I gave her contact info for the doctor who examined Jeff and got a
number for a psychiatrist in Boston who could help her. It's a lot of
work but she really wants to get out of there as soon as possible before
her parents try to get at the kids again. She doesn't trust them, she
said they were getting desperate to get them away."
He sighed and explained to Stan, "Her parents tried to sue for custody
when our daughter came out. The judge told us to get her examined and
held off deciding until then. If she wasn't transgender, then we'd have
lost her because he didn't believe that it was right to allow her to
dress as a girl unless she was a girl. He had no right to force his
views on us, but he didn't care. He's now in jail for that."
Stan growled, "Let me guess: word got back to Vince and he had a talk
with the right folks? This smells like something he'd do without letting
you know. You repaid him by doing some jobbing at shows and did some
producing while the regular producers were on vacation or out sick, it's
how he's always done it and something that could be done without any
interruption to storylines and feuds."
Stan authoritatively told Steve, "We'll fly out there next weekend. You
start at GCW after WrestleCade, I think that's enough time to get
situated fully. Jeff is off the week after so we don't have to hurry
back. The only hitch is how much he'll miss his girlfriend but she's
going to have to endure."
Stan used his laptop to book tickets for them to fly out to Kansas City.
Steve left early the next morning and flew out west, meeting his family
at the airport and telling them firmly, "Your grandfather, aunt, and
cousins are coming next week to help us move east. I'm driving the truck
so you two will have to be on your best behavior until I get there. Your
grandfather has arranged an appointment for you with one of the
psychiatrists in Boston. The local psychiatrist isn't as good as the one
in Boston, it's just confirming all of what your psychiatrist told you
already. Dad isn't fooling around, he wants you to be alright even if
you're going to have to travel down there every month and stay in a
hotel."
Turning to his wife, Steve explained, "They're alright with her. I've
seen dad's look, he's upset that your parents tried to take her away
from us and might do something if they try again. He knows what Vince
Turner did for us, I think dad is serious about going after them: I know
he has a lot of powerful friends in the business, they might have less
than savory people able to do the worst to your parents."
The family drove home in silence. Mother and daughter looked at pictures
of the kids and smiled as the big, strong Stan was putty in little
Jaimie's hands. Jeff caused his cousin Ava to blush, Steve happily told
her, "It's alright, he's taken. A couple of boys are free but I think
you're better off not dating for a while as you're too new to the town
and you need to get acclimated to school first."
Jeff reluctantly parted from Mila with a kiss. He was told that his
family needed him more than her at that moment. He wasn't happy to fly
across the country, but he wasn't going to be left with back with Mila
despite her pleading with her parents to let him stay with them.
The journey took a while as they had to drive to Boston before flying
west, with Stan telling Jeff that it was better than driving all the way
there. Four hours driving then another four of flying, waiting in line,
and connecting caused him to become irritable. He hated flying,
especially without knowing who was going to meet him at the airport when
they arrived.
Steve met them and introduced his wife Eve, son Philip, and Ava to them.
Jeff saw Ava and blushed as she was pretty, with her blushing back at
his reaction. He was speechless, he couldn't believe that she was
transgender let alone had started to look like a young woman.
The drive to the Cole house was another hour but saw Jeff trying hard to
not look over at Ava. It was tough to keep his eyes off of her, it felt
weird to know that she would give up her manhood to be a girl especially
one who looked like her mother. She sensed his unease, it was expected
of him as it's the same reaction that most people gave her when they
learned the truth about her.
When they arrived at the Cole home, the kids were tired while Jaimie was
out cold. She was hanging off of Steve and wouldn't let him go, causing
Eve to smile as the little girl clearly loved him but it was hard for
her to admit to him that she liked her uncle. It was so similar to her
cousins that she gave Ava a smirk: Jaimie was doing what they did to
Steve at the same age.
The family ate in silence as the trio fought exhaustion before going up
to bed, with Jeff sharing with Ava and Philip while Stan took the couch
and Sarah and Jaimie shared the third bedroom. The trio blushed as it
was awkward seeing how big Jeff was compared with Philip while Ava tried
to hide her breasts from Jeff. He looked away and tried to hide his
shame, she told him that she was used to it as a lot of people did that
to her when they saw her after knowing the truth about her.
He sighed and told her, "It's not that. I just have never seen real
boobs before. My girlfriend and I swore to our moms that we wouldn't do
anything, I don't want her upset for seeing you. I don't care about the
boobs, I care about her and don't want her upset at me for seeing them."
She felt relief, then asked if he was sure. She took her top off and
showed him, causing him to turn to Philip and ask if she did that a lot.
He nodded, telling Jeff, "She shows her friends them. It's a big deal to
them that she looks so big and they're small. They don't know that I
look, they think I'm out but I see them doing it. Mom told me not to do
it but they're so pretty even if they're hairy down there. I told her to
shave and she said that she'll tell mom if I ever told her to do it
again, I like annoying her."
She blushed while Jeff cringed. Philip had gotten what he wanted: her
embarrassment. He didn't do it to be mean, he just wanted to annoy her
and succeeded at doing it.
The three slept intertwined, Jeff realized that something was poking
into him when he woke and saw a pair of boobs sticking out of his
cousin's shirt. He quickly got up and went to the bathroom to calm his
hormones, with Ava changing in front of him as he gathered his wits.
Looking at her closer all he could do was see a girl who had something
in her panties, she gave him a pose to snap him out of his stupor and
happily told him that he was the first boy to show that she was a pretty
girl.
The two got dressed, after a bit she asked him if he worked out as his
muscles were big. He nodded and told her, "Grandpa taught me after the
school bullies chased me. He used to box before he wrestled, all of my
friends are learning from him. He has been teaching me more and helping
me get into shape. I'm sure he'll help you do the same if you want,
you'll need to learn to protect yourself from people."
She hugged him and thanked him, kissing his cheek to make him blush
while Philip giggled. The little boy grinned and ran downstairs, telling
their parents that Jeff and Ava were kissing which caused the parents to
rush up to them but stopped to laugh as they saw the mark on Jeff's
cheek and his blush still on his face. He tricked them, but it was funny
as she did kiss him- just not the way he claimed.
Stan saw the teasing and smiled as it was classic sibling fun. Jeff
didn't quite get what was going on, he had never experienced it as
Jaimie was too young and had been all alone for so long. His friends had
a few siblings but none were that close with their brothers making him
experience it all for the first time.
The family spent the day packing and starting the process of selling the
house. Steve and Stan had to do a list of what Stan thought should be
done regarding Steve's character and submit it to Stacy and Taylor
Turner so they could start to lay the groundwork for Steve's entering
the GCW. Jeff listened to them in awe, with Philip asking him if he ever
watched his grandpa or uncle wrestle.
Jeff blushed and explained to his cousins, "No. I had no interest in it
before. My friends watch it but I'm not into it. I never bothered, it
didn't appeal to me. Dad didn't watch it and the kids at school out here
I hated so never got into it. I know that it's popular, but I never saw
grandpa or uncle Steve wrestle."
He was dragged by Philip to his room the shown some of their
grandfather's matches. He then put on DVDs of his father wrestling, with
Jeff seeing that the looked so much alike. He shed a tear as Stan looked
so much like Jimmy, causing his cousin to stop showing the matches to
let Jeff calm himself.
Jeff was asked what was the matter, he sadly told his cousin, "Grandpa
looks like dad. Uncle Steve does too but not as much. I can't help but
see dad out there, even if dad only wrestled for a shot time."
Jeff ended the viewing session and sought out Steve and Stan. He found
Jaimie playing with Ava and telling her that she had a weenie like Jeff
had but he didn't have boobies. Jeff stopped cold as Ava looked up at
him, Jaimie giggled and told her, "He is pretty like you. He isn't a
girl, you are."
She kissed her cousin and ran off before Jeff could say anything. Ava
was in tears and hugged a concerned Jeff. She softly told him, "Does she
always do that?"
Jeff nodded and softly told her, "She likes to tease people that she
likes. She does it with my girlfriend a lot, she teases her about her
boobs being big just to make me blush. She knows how to annoy me, even
if she's only two she can't help but make fun of someone just to show
that she likes them."
She looked down in shame and confessed to him, "I hate being a boy, I
can't wait to get rid of my penis so I can stop being bigger than the
boys. I hate it, dad said that we're blessed. My brother is smaller but
doesn't know that he's going to get large soon. I want it gone but I
don't want to lose being a mom. You are lucky, you don't have to live
with something that you hate. You're normal, I'm a freak."
Jeff hugged her and confessed to her, "I'm big too. Mom said that it's a
family curse passed down to all of us from our ancestors. Dad and uncle
Steve are big, mom was telling my girlfriend's mom that I'm a big guy so
you're probably the same. It's not a big deal, don't think about it.
You'll find the right guy, it isn't the end of the world. Please, don't
do anything to hurt yourself. I can't lose my cousins after I just found
them. I don't want to lose more family, I already lost dad.. I don't
want to lose any of you."
The two were in tears and getting out a lot of grief. Their mothers
listened to them and felt horrible for them, but it was something that
they needed to talk about with someone close to them. Jeff was older, it
felt right for him to be the one to talk to with his cousin being the
same to him even if she was younger.
When they composed themselves their mothers hugged them deeply and
kissed their foreheads. Jeff felt bad that they had heard them, Sarah
softly explained to him, "It's what family does for one another. It's
what you both needed: an ear to listen. She needs her cousin to help her
in her new school and you need her to be there for you when you
experience the drawbacks of having a girlfriend: periods and a lot of
boys trying to take her from you. She'll need the same with boys, even
if she might have to wait until she's in college to find a date who'll
accept her for herself. I don't trust the boys in your school or any of
the guys in town- too many closed minds and bigots among them."
The rest of the day was spent packing and choosing what to part with.
Ava happily tossed out all of her old clothes while Philip hated having
hand-me-downs from his sister despite them never being worn as they were
bought by their grandparents after she came out. Jeff didn't flinch at
seeing Ava's clothes, he was used to bras and panties and only commented
on the color choices causing her to smile at him.
Philip was sure that he was lying about dressing as a girl, Jeff showed
that he was wearing panties and then showed his nightgown which caused
Philip to blush. Jeff just shook his head and told him, "I had to have
an exam like she had. I'm all boy, I just like to wear girly clothes
whenever possible."
Philip looked upset and was taken aside by Jeff. Philip looked away in
shame and confessed, "She's not ever going to be my brother but it sucks
losing Alfred to being a girl. I miss him, I missed doing things with
him that I couldn't do with Ava. She won't wrestle or play video games
or run around anymore."
Jeff hugged him and softly told him, "She never was Alfred, she was
always Ava. She's a girl and tried a long time to be a boy. She isn't.
There's nothing boy about her. She loves being herself, she hated to be
a boy. She only did it because she didn't want to upset Uncle Steve and
Aunt Eve. She loves you, she's your sister and nothing changed about her
except that she's able to be herself."
Philip softly said that he misses doing that stuff with her, Jeff smiled
and happily told him, "I like to do a lot of that stuff. I might like
crossdressing, but I'm still a boy and love doing those things with all
of my friends. Mom makes us run around the property to get exercise and
we play their videgogames all of the time when it's too cold or it's
raining out. They have brothers too, you could get to know them."
Philip thanked him, Jeff happily told him, "It's what a cousin does.
We're going to live together, you'd do it for me too if you needed to.
You're my cousin, you need a guy and I'm there. We'll do stuff and it
will be just us. Ava will do stuff with the girls when they meet her. I
know it'll be tough but it's going to be a lot of fun now that you have
mom and grandpa. Jaimie is a pain but she loves you too."
The boys packed the rest of Philip's stuff while Ava let them bond. Eva
wisely told her, "He misses you but he's got Jeff now to be his big
brother even if he's his cousin. You get to be a big sister to Jaimie,
if she lets you. Don't feel like you have to be a brother to Philip, he
has Jeff to do that. Be his sister, he's happy for you and wants you to
be happy and if doing what he does isn't your thing then that's fine. Be
the best girl that you can be, let Jeff be the best brother to Philip
even if he's his cousin."
Mother and daughter hugged and kissed while Jaimie giggled at the sight.
She walked over to Ava and kissed her too, with Jaimie happily helping
her pack while their mothers looked on. When their mothers turned away
Jaimie quietly told Ava, "Pretty girl. You never were a boy. Boys are
yucky."
The little girl hit Ava hard and caused her to smile as she all but told
her that she only saw her as a girl. It was an innocent statement from a
little kid who barely comprehended things but it was enough to be a big
help to Ava. Jaimie cared about her and showed it, she liked having a
little sister close to her.
Ava's things took longer than expected as she tried to hide her bras and
panties from Sarah. Sarah told her that they were fine and Jeff had
plainer ones but he didn't like the idea of having breasts. She then
told Ava, "You'll grow into them. Your mom might have been a slow
bloomer, it happens. Jeff is just a bit ahead of you in growth, I know
he's going to be smaller because my family are shorter than most. I
think you're on the right track already, the girls in school aren't big
and most are flat so you're bigger in your bust than them. You'll fit in
well among the girls Jeff is friends with...their sisters might be the
issue but I think a couple are going to be fine with you especially if
you be yourself and not a fake."
After dinner and more packing, Jaimie refused to let Ava out of her
sight and insisted on following her around. She was upset when Ava
kicked her out of the bathroom so she could shower, the little girl had
to be told that she was too old to shower with Ava which to the girl
meant she was a big girl now. That was followed by Ava helping her
shower, with Jaimie asking her if it was because of her weenie.
Ava blushed and softly explained, "It's because of that. I'm too old and
would get in a lot of trouble if it was known to others that I showered
with a little girl. You're a big girl now, you can shower now."
Jaimie cheered over hearing that, she didn't understand the real
implications and only focused on that it was someone telling her that
she's a big girl now. Ava helped her dry her hair and put it up like she
had hers with Eva and Sarah smiling as Jaimie imitated Ava fully to the
point of being robotic. She had her big sister and was happy to be a
little sister, Ava didn't have the heart to correct her but knew that
she had to tell her that cousins weren't sisters and she would have to
get used to being her cousin only.
When it was time for bed, Jaimie insisted on Ava putting her to bed.
Jaimie latched onto her and forced her to sleep alongside her, with
Sarah having to make room for the tween girl on the bed. The three fell
asleep soon after Jaimie was moved, with Ava softly thanking her aunt
Sarah making Sarah smile.
Steve's wrestling gear, awards, title belt replicas, and other mementos
of his career were the last boxed. He and Stan spent a lot of the time
talking about Steve's career, with Stan laughing at people hoping his
son would get his father to join their promotion to increase ticket
sales. Steve was blas? about it all but Stan happily told him, "You got
titles, that's the most important thing. Those add up and put you in the
map as it's hard to ignore a champion. King Reign did it because he
hates me for causing him to lose a lot of money in bad investments when
I refused to join in his schemes, you were a victim but found the best
of a bad situation. I'm only angry that Impact of Honor didn't snag you
but it might have a lot to do with not wanting to look like they're
trying to get at me which I know they'd never try to do. They'd have a
lot of trouble explaining it, but I'd actually have gone to them for a
bit to help you if they asked. I have no issues with the ownership there
and the talent is great, especially the ones Vince sends them."
The duo smiled as they looked through box after box of trunks, boots,
pads, t-shirts, and other items. It was a walk down memory lane for
Steve as he told of feuds that were online and made headlines within the
wrestling community and showed just how much he had impacted them
without making it big. He had no idea how many people whose careers he
made just by feuding with them- just like his father had done over the
previous 35 years when he himself was in the same place.
Stan hid his tears as he saw an article stating that Steve wanted to be
his own person and that his father is a huge personality whose shadow
fell across the wrestling world but he was happy to move out from under
it and try to make it on his own. Stan happily told his son, "You did
it. You earned your way to the top and made the world see that you're
Steve Cole and not Steve Dallas. You're Steve Dallas now and I could not
be prouder of you. You worked hard, you jobbed and put others over. You
belong in GCW."
While father and son bonded, Eve had to get the kids' school records so
they could transfer. It took just a little bit of time and saw her
questioned by the principal and staff but she was quiet about it. Sarah
did her best to keep the rumors away, with her telling inquirers that
they were moving because of Steve and a big opportunity for him from one
of the wrestling promotions in the northeast.
Just before she left, Eve told the principal, "My sister-in-law knows
the school and town so my daughter isn't an issue. Everything is in
order and the state is well-aware of Sarah so have no issues with anyone
making false claims about my daughter. The kids are with family and are
going to thrive in Maine.
Sarah casually told the principal, "Our father-in-law is close friends
with the Attorney General, DA, and sheriff so any claims about us are
taken seriously, especially if from out of state. If her parents try to
get you to lie, you'll be the ones in legal trouble with the state not
them. Think wisely before helping."
They left and saw Eve's phone ringing. She ignored her parents' calls
and softly told Sarah, "It's begun. I know it's going to be a war,
hopefully Stan is alright with people annoying him."
Sarah grinned, called Stan, who then called Eve's parents' lawyer and
informed him that they were out of line and any threat of legal action
would result in a lawsuit for criminal harassment as they lacked a right
to sue for custody simply because the family chose to move away from
them. When their lawyer tried to claim that they had a right as
grandparents, he bluntly told them that they were accusing their own
daughter and son-in-law of crimes that he knew to be false and did not
alert the authorities about the true nature of the claims. He swore then
explained that he would drop all claims against Steve and Eve and would
alert the state that it was a legal move with his clients having no
knowledge of abuse.
The move was finished the next day, and featured the family enjoying a
quiet night together before the boys joined Steve for the drive east
with the family's possessions while Stan and the ladies flew. There was
a reason for that, Stan thought that it would be best to have Steve and
the boys bond while Ava and the ladies got the house ready. Ava also
needed to do a trip to the psychiatrist, something that had to be done
immediately so that she could start school in Maine as a girl even if
she had already transitioned.
Late the next day the family arrived at a hotel and relaxing. Ava and
Jaimie swam while Sarah and Eve talked about what would happen the next
day. Eve received a phone call from someone on behalf of GCW who
informed her that an appointment had been made in Boston with one of the
area's leading psychiatrists specializing in transgender children,
giving her a huge help with Ava's care.
Steve was called and happily told her, "She really knows how to be
subtle but did me a favor that I have to repay in full and can't back
out of. That wasn't just anyone at GCW: that was Dr. Taylor Turner, the
VP of the sports entertainment division and granddaughter of Vince and a
medical doctor. She ensured that Ava got help in a timely manner that
nobody could refute. Dr. Alison Eliza is one of the best in the business
and is able to help Ava while keeping her distance from us so that she
doesn't overdo things. She knows her stuff, I met her a few times when I
was in Boston for shows and she's about the best you can ever meet."
Ava was told that she had to go see Dr. Eliza the next day. Stan asked
if it was necessary to which Eve explained, "Steve said that it was a
big favor from Taylor Turner, a medial doctor and a VP in GCW. It
sounded like she's really good and experienced with transgender kids,
our former doctor was good but I think someone in the region with
knowledge of kids was found for us."
The next day saw them meeting Dr. Eliza who smiled and asked if Dr.
Robin Wiles was doing well as it had been years since she'd encountered
one of her former patients. Ava was shocked while Eve happily told her,
"She's just fine and treats kids well. Sadly, she just retired. How do
you know her?"
Dr. Eliza smiled and explained, "Through a former patient of hers. Dr.
Wiles was first to diagnose her as well as the one who approved her for
surgery six years later. That young lady turned out to be one of the
biggest boons to transgender people in this country, she changed the
lives of thousands including my own life. Dr. Wiles might not be as
experienced as I am but she still is a top quality psychiatrist."
She was observing Jaimie and asked about her. Sarah explained, "She
likes having a girl in the family. It pains me to admit but Ava is the
closest she has had to a real girl near her. My son is a crossdresser
but she knows that he's not really a girl so treats him normally and
doesn't try to get her to play with him."
Dr. Eliza asked about the name, Sarah blushed and told the story. Dr.
Eliza shook her head and blurted out, "Call Quentin. He'd be upset that
you were in town and didn't call him. And that young lady that I
mentioned being my patient? Your daughter is named after her. She'd be
honored by the namesake."
Ava went inside and told about her past and what happened to her with
her grandparents and school. It was painful to recall some of the
memories but she felt that it was best to tell the truth and let Dr.
Eliza make her determination. She didn't want to lie, lying only made
things worse for everyone around.
Dr. Eliza waited for her to stop then confessed, "Your story matches
what you told Dr. Wiles. You're the right person for transition and you
have acclimated to it too much to reverse course. You're transgender and
leaning so strongly that way that it'd be criminal to refuse to allow
you to continue with transition. I recommend that you continue on with
hormones but do ask that you put semen away as it will help to secure
your future. I hate to admit this but I have personal experience with
children who haven't been able to have children due to traumatic
injuries to their genitals so I encourage all patients to save semen so
that the opportunity is always there even if you need a surrogate and
donor egg to accomplish it."
Once outside, she confirmed Ava's diagnosis and wished her luck with her
life as her psychiatrist up in Maine would be able to help her along her
path now that all road blocks were clear. The question of her
grandparents trying to stop the transition was raised, Dr. Eliza grinned
and shot back, "A few words with a lawyer from Missouri are in order.
I'll speak with her tonight and if she agrees she'll make a call to a
friend out there to ensure that Ava is protected. She hates these
fights, but lives for them."
Sarah called Quentin Nelson as demanded and got a laugh, she was told to
drive several blocks over as he was at home and had to see them. When
they arrived Sarah received a big hug and told how she hadn't aged a bit
in the past decade while Stan received a gasp and smirk. He shook his
head and told a perplexed Stan, "That old bat sure hated your guts and
tormented Jimmy for years. I can see why: he's a chip off the old block.
She's stewing in the hospital while you made millions and retired to
solitude, it's a crying shame that she was so bitter about you and what
you did- hell, jealousy makes for stupidity!"
Observing Jaimie he smiled and told Sarah, "She's just as her brother
was, only without the boredom. If only he could see her now. I hate that
he was taken from you before meeting her, she's going to be the spitting
image of you when she gets older. Hopefully she takes after you and not
him in personality."
That caused a laugh which he smiled at, Jaimie grunted which proved his
point: she was just like her father and knew it. She didn't like it
being made fun of, but it was a loving joke.
The group talked for a bit until Quentin's phone rang which caused him
to excuse himself then tell the folks on the phone that he was a little
busy at that moment with a bunch of visitors. They came by a short time
later to see him and were introduced to the Coles. Stan shook his head
and blurted out, "It just figures, you'd know Quentin and probably also
know the person Dr. Eliza was going to contact to help Eve about Ava.
It's a small world, I don't believe that these are coincidences."
The man introduced himself to Eve, Sarah, and the girls as John Finn,
Quentin's friend and the owner of the production company that made
several of Stan's movies. John then added, "You know my wife, a lawyer
by trade who just happens to have contacts out in Missouri whom she's
going to call to help a kid in need of protection. It's nothing big for
her, just a phone call to a judge whom she worked with."
John's wife Valerie Finn grinned and asked for specifics then walked off
to talk with the person on the phone. She returned a half hour later and
explained, "My friend is a judge with Platte County and has a big hatred
for families being forced apart because of false accusations. As you
have followed all state and local guidelines and are moving out of state
they have no reason to go after you. Further, as she had an examination
by a prominent psychiatrist there's no reason for intervention. He
issued orders that the family leave you alone. He has his clerk going to
federal court to make it a federal one alongside state."
Stan understood and explained in layman's terms, "If they go after her,
they're going to prison: federal, not state. Ava can go to Maine and
will be free to live her life while they are barred from even trying to
contact you. It's serious, my wife handed me one when we divorced and
not even Vince's lawyers were able to get it lifted. Steve and Jimmy
weren't able to talk with me let alone see me after it was issued."
John asked about Jaimie who was quietly listening to them. Sarah blushed
and told him, "She's trying to hear what we're talking about and doesn't
understand the seriousness but knows what it's about. She's a lot like
her father, I wish she wasn't at times but she's her father's daughter."
Quentin laughed and told John, "Don't tell her that she has a namesake
up in Maine, she'll want to baby Ava like she does Jae. She knows that
she's helped others, she just doesn't know that I talked about her to
other people. The fact that her cousin is like her is pure coincidence,
he'd be pleased to know Jaimie is turning out better than anyone could
have hoped even if she's out in California."
John explained to the Coles, "My granddaughter is also named Jaimie but
goes by Jae because it's tough on her to be known as her niece and live
up to her name. At least this Jaimie will be her own person and not have
to worry about that stuff, even if her cousin is very similar to my
Jaimie. Hopefully she finds out what she wants to do with her life and
sets herself on course to achieve it, otherwise it'll be a tough decade
for her. It's easier when you know what you want to do, my daughter did
early on."
The Coles thanked John and Valerie as they left, with Quentin telling
the Coles, "My daughter and his are dating, my son and his niece are
married, his cousin's son and my daughter are married. We knew his wife
and kids for years before he came into their lives so we're close. He's
a great man, his wife is a legend in the legal community. She helped
because she wanted to, it was something that she could do in a matter of
seconds and not bat an eye over. You'll be fine now, especially as the
Turners will call him to check up on what happened with the appointment.
Vince Turner has ears all over the place and has a lot of people who'd
help you, John has even more and they'd do it in ways Vince couldn't."
Stan shook his head and told the Coles, "He's a billionaire, and likely
had you pegged for a meeting just to get to know you at some point to
see if you're going to be alright. I have known him for years and is one
of the few who have gotten his respect in Hollywood so my being here
meant that he'd come by to see me. Quentin knowing Jimmy only made
things all the more important to him, he felt obligated to help even if
it was just moral support. His wife did have the right resources, if she
didn't have a judge helping she'd have her mother calling an old friend
or use her own sources."
The others let that sink in while Jaimie giggled at their being
speechless. Ava was busy looking online to check on John Finn and found
a lot of information about his past, his accolades, and his derision. It
was comforting to see that someone was looking out for her, especially
one with a lot of money.
She then started to look up Taylor Turner and her life. She was
enthralled with the woman who cared a lot about her despite never
knowing her. When she had her fill she looked out the window and thought
about her life and how lucky she was, people cared about her and wanted
to protect her future.
The drive gave her a lot to think about, especially as Jaimie fell
asleep and Sarah was talking with a lot of people who were asking about
her and her trip. She fell asleep herself, only waking when they were
entering a rural town 50 miles from Bangor and told that they were
almost there. It felt different there, she felt renewed and let out a
small smile as the gravity of the situation struck her hard.
The drive to the house was short and featured Sarah pointing out to Ava
and Eve Ava's new school and the adjacent elementary school that Philip
would be attending that Monday. Ava stared in disbelief as it was twice
as big as her school and looked like it had a lot of stuff that hers
didn't have. Sarah smiled as she explained to her, "It's very modern,
the computers are top quality and it's fully accessible for when a
student has to stay home from school due to illness. There's a pool, a
large gym, a theater, and a lot of playing fields for various sports.
The teams aren't that good and dominated by families with clout so it
would take a lot of pressure or support from the right people to make
the sports teams. Jeff is banned by them due to getting friends' kids
expelled or sent to jail. I wouldn't bother joining, you'd just be the
token diversity kid that keeps the state away from them and really just
a participant on paper."
She nodded and understood what Sarah meant: they didn't want her there
and would claim that she's a participant but would never be allowed to
actually participate despite being allowed to. Stan drove on and pointed
out a couple of kids riding bikes up and down the roads with Ava looking
at them to see if they were trying to look inside or were ignoring them.
Stan told her, "Those are Jeff's friends. They were stuck home all week
and it looks like there wasn't any snow so they're riding because
they're bored."
Ava and Eve were in awe as they saw the Cole home, with Stan happily
telling them, "I tried to stay out of here but Jeff and Sarah caused me
to start coming back here. I have a cabin in the woods that hasn't had
much use since they moved in, I'm sure that Jeff and Ava will get use
out of it in a couple of years when they need time away from us. It's a
weekend home away from home for them."
Eve shot back, "They aren't going there with boys or girls. If they go
there, it's by themselves and only if we give permission. I don't want
people thinking that it's some place that they go to have sex!"
Ava blushed deeply while Stan added, "We told Jeff and his friends that
and he had the same reaction. I know they won't do it, she needed to
hear you say it. It's actually locked tight, I only go there when I'm
trying to write something. Jeff goes there when he needs to vent and be
alone, nobody else knows of it and I know that he hasn't told his
friends about it. I'll show you another day, it's getting too late now."
Ava and Eve were in awe of the big house, with Ava gravitating upstairs
to where Jaimie had her own little playroom. She happily told Ava, "This
is my room but you can stay here too. Mommy said it's just for girls,
Jeff won't go up here. Mommy said it's too big for me, so you can stay
here too."
Ava hugged her and kissed her cheek, with Sarah happily telling Ava,
"It's really four rooms but she's not using them all. You get one, she
gets one, and one is her playroom. The boys can have the fourth as a
guy's room, probably for the video games. They need a private place away
from you ladies."
Ava understood and realized that the playroom would be a girl's room for
her and Jaimie, even if Ava was too old for toys. She could unwind and
talk freely with other girls, while the boys did the same in the next
room. She could eventually teach Jaimie how to be a girl when she got
older, just like a sister."
Sarah showed Eve a room and by default had Philip assigned the fifth
bedroom. Things were put away and food ordered, with Eve helping to dish
out dinner while Sarah fielded phone calls from a group of people for
over an hour. She was all smiles, telling Eve, "Those were Jeff's
friends' parents asking if he was back. I had to break the bad news that
he's coming tomorrow, only his girlfriend took it hard."
Jaimie was quiet most of the evening and fell asleep in Ava's lap and
refused to let her go requiring her to sleep with Jaimie entangled in
her arms. She loved the feeling of Jaimie in her arms and felt the
little girl's breathing through her breasts causing her to feel like
things were going to be alright with the Coles and her life was on the
mend. Jaimie seemed to radiate love from her, with Ava loving that her
little cousin loved her back and wanted her in her life.
The next day saw Sarah taking Eve and Ava to register for school. This
was done smoothly, with just a cursory look at the paperwork declaring
Ava as transgender. Sarah was asked if a local doctor had been procured,
Sarah happily stated, "She was confirmed by one in Boston and got a
referral to one up here."
That was questioned, Eve explained, "My husband's boss asked a friend to
get her an examination while we were in Boston. It was supposed to be
done tomorrow after our visit today but it was changed. The doctor is a
leading psychiatrist specializing in children and knew her previous
psychiatrist through one of her former patients so signed off on the
care. She's fully diagnosed, has been on hormones for over a year and
has to stop taking blockers at the doctor's request to save semen for
future reproduction. She's going to be back on blockers once that is
done, we just have to get an appointment with the folks at the
cryogenenics center. She's no threat to the girls and knows the rules
for what she can and can't do. She won't use the female restrooms
despite being allowed under law, we won't risk upsetting people here."
She was quickly told, "That is unnecessary as federal law bans that.
She's fine to use the locker room to change and the bathroom to do her
business but we do ask for discretion as much as possible. There's a few
things that we ask of her: hide her penis as much as possible, do not
make references to it, and try to avoid ogling the girls. They have the
same rules and we strictly enforce them: no talking about the genitals,
no flaunting of their bodies, no harassment due to breast growth. If she
can abide by that then she can join the other ladies. If she feels
uncomfortable then she will be allowed to change elsewhere."
That caught her by surprise, she was told, "We have dealt with the
outcome of lawsuits and have had to make changes to accommodate
transgender individuals. Despite the fear-mongering, few ever file any
claims against the schools and even fewer go to court. It's too
expensive to fight a losing battle and the media is against their
antics. We are no fools, we know just who she has supporting her if she
was able to get an appointment in Boston so quickly. He's too powerful,
we won't fight him even if we're in another state. He has a long reach,
and near bottomless pockets."
Their next stop was lunch and saw Sarah introducing Eve to Jeff's
girlfriend Mila and her mother Remy. Sarah had a big smile as Eve asked
if she was the one Jeff complained about missing so much as they packed
which caused the girl to run off blushing while her mother added, "She
was no better than him. She was upset that he wouldn't video chat with
him but he told her that he had to help his cousins and that she'd get
to meet them soon."
Sarah asked her to come by, which led to the duo driving over to the
Cole home and being engulfed by an energetic Jaimie. Stan complained
that she was hyperactive since Ava left and wanted her, but was put on a
show because she was bored without Sarah and Ava. Jaimie tried to look
cute but Sarah's scold put her in her place and caused her to go up to
the playroom to stay out of the adults' hair.
Sarah sat Mila and Remy down. She took a deep breath and explained, "You
are OK with Jeff and all of his dressing, but I need to ask something
more: are you alright with a transgender person? Ava isn't like Jeff:
Ava is transgender. She was born Alfred and has been transitioning for
two years."
Remy asked if it was a joke while Mila asked if Jeff knew. Eve
explained, "It's serious. She broke down after a beating by the boys in
school and told us that she couldn't go on anymore: she was a girl and
would hurt herself is she was forced to continue to be a girl. We got
her to a psychiatrist who referred her to a specialist who confirmed the
diagnosis. She has been in treatment since, she started hormones last
year and has started to develop. Those aren't falsies, they're her real
breasts. She is still 'intact' and can get a girl pregnant, but she has
no interest in girls: she likes boys. Is this going to be a problem?"
Remy looked at Mila who led Ava away so their moms could talk. Upstairs,
she asked Ava if it was true as she didn't want this to be an elaborate
joke. Jeff being a crossdresser she was fine with, but she had a strong
feeling that this was going to be trouble and if it was true she had to
help Ava.
Ava took off her t-shirt and bra then dropped her shorts and panties.
Mila gasped in shock, she was just like her up top but male down below!
She turned away in shame as Ava got dressed, with her telling the upset
Ava, "Please don't tell Jeff that you did that. I believe you, and I
want to help you."
She hugged Ava and asked if Jeff treated her right. Ava gave her a big
smile and explained, "He treated me like a little sister. He's what I
wanted a big brother to be, I loved being with him. I hope that being a
fake girl doesn't upset your friends because I am used to being alone
even if Jeff will support me."
Mila shed a tear and shot back, "I'll tell them myself that you're
family to Jeff so I have to treat you like family too. They either act
nice or they aren't my friends. I don't mind losing them, you matter
more. I don't mind being like a big sister if you need one, Jeff can't
understand some things- like boys."
Ava hugged her and thanked her for doing that for her. The two went
downstairs and saw Eve asking if she did what she figured she'd do. Ava
nodded to which Remy told them, "Don't do it again unless it's in the
midst of changing. She might be a girl but it's still something that you
shouldn't see, Mila."
Steve called to tell them that he was just outside of town. Mila
brightened while Ava relaxed as it was a final nail in her old life: she
was home and everything that she owned was coming shortly. Remy saw a
look of content on Ava's face and saw that it was worth the bit of
aggravation by Mila that week.
When Steve parked the rental truck, Mila ran full speed for Jeff and
kissed him full on the lips. The two walked inside hand in hand while
Philip complained that he got off easy and they had to do all of the
hard work. Steve shook his head at the boys' antics, they acted like
brothers the whole trip and he loved their little bit of fun especially
as it was just like he and Jimmy had done years before.
Jaimie ran for Steve while Sarah hugged Philip. Philip complained about
having to go to school so soon but knew that he wasn't going to be
allowed to miss out. Sarah happily told him that he'd be able to do a
lot of things that he didn't get to do at his old school which he was
happy to hear.
Unpacking took a while, Mila helped Ava with her things while Remy
helped Eve with Philip's things. It wasn't necessary, but Remy wanted to
spend time with the Coles and it helped Mila and Ava to get to know one
another as Mila saw the real girl and learned more about her. The two
would be around one another a lot so it helped them to be close by and
enjoy being together.
As they talked, Sarah asked Remy why she was really there. Remy sighed
and explained, "He left me. I caught him in bed with another floozy and
he couldn't take the humiliation. He blamed it all on Jeff, he knew that
it's total garbage but he had to blame someone else for his actions as
usual."
Eve offered her a consoling, "He knows that you have him nailed hard for
what he did and you already gave him his warning before so he has
nothing to fight back with. He's humiliated and blaming Jeff is a cheap
cop-out that knows won't hold up. He'll probably drink his pain away
then beg you to take him back. If that fails, he'll try to use the kids
against you."
Remy grinned and told him, "He tried that, I got an injunction from the
court. He's going to lose his job as I talked with his boss about his
absences. I didn't back his claims, so he's fired as today."
Sarah laughed and shot back, "That's the dumbest thing possible. It
doesn't take much to see that he's a total liar. His boss only kept him
around because they were drinking buddies, now that he has to be the
boss and fire the liability he has to put that friendship aside. He's
probably begging for his job back at the bar and making a scene of
himself, so expect a call from deputies later to pick him up."
Sure enough, Remy received the call. She told the deputies that they had
split and he moved out so she wasn't obligated to help him anymore. They
tried to plead with her, but she hung up on them.
Stan called the sheriff and told him what was happening which got the
deputies to apologize for forcing Remy's husband on her and would detain
him until the next day when he sobered-up. Stan then called a single
deputy and told him that Remy wasn't to be visited by anyone on her
husband's behalf or there'd be hell to pay to which the deputy
understood- Remy was under his protection and her husband wasn't. The
extension was earned, she accepted Ava and Jeff so deserved to be
protected by him.
The rest of vacation went smoothly. Sarah helped Remy file for divorce
and sought everything, leaving her husband out in the cold without a
home as it was in her name and bought by her parents with it in a trust
for the kids with her as the sole trustee. He had nothing to counter the
claims so had to settle for a complete break with them with Mila being
awarded to Remy at Mila's demand.
The kids were nervous when school started again. Ava needed Jaimie's
help relaxing and fell asleep in her arms with the little girl smiling
at helping her big cousin calm herself. Philip was blas? about it and
knew that he'd be just like everyone else except he'd have a tougher
fight to make his own friends.
The group drove to the school early and were met by Remy and Mila with
Mila showing Ava around to let her get to know the bathrooms and locker
room so she'd know what to expect later that day. Ava met with the
principal Otis Pyle and was told that she had no restrictions but he
hoped that she would try to be discrete with her changing, the same
warning that she had from the superintendent three days before.
Her class was told about her condition and gave the usual disgusted and
disgruntled reactions but didn't do anything that would get them into
trouble. Ava ignored them and focused on herself, with nobody in her
class interacting with her until lunch. When she went with Jeff and Mila
she finally got notice.
As she ate questions were raised about her. Rumors circulated about her
being transgender were added to rumors that she was really Jeff's sister
and Steve was really his dad. Neither paid them any attention, but Mila
did tell her friends that only the one about Ava being transgender was
true.
Ava ate with an outcast from her class named Mandy Pyle, who was Otis'
daughter, and talked about school and Ava's old school. The two did a
lot of talking to the point that they didn't notice lunch had ended and
it was time to go back to class. It felt great to talk with someone, Ava
loved being normal with someone even if they were outcasts.
After school, she was asked about herself. She told Mandy, "Yes, I'm
transgender. Yes, my dad is Jeff Cole's uncle. No, I'm not his sister.
Yes, I still have 'it'. Yes, these are real breasts."
She waited but Mandy only asked, "Are you sure that you want to be
around me? I'm a freak: everyone in school hates me. My dad is the
principal, they hate him so hate me too."
Ava asked if she was sure that she wanted to be around the freak
becoming a girl. She nodded and told her, "I don't care. I've seen
worse, the girls are fakes. They stuff their chests, they aren't real."
The two shared a special bond: being used to being alone. Jeff and Mila
sought Ava out and let the two talk while Mila tried to not say
something about Ava being with the school's pariah. She could see that a
special bond was starting form between then and separating them would
hurt both of them.
When Sarah and Eve arrived Ava reluctantly parted. Eve asked if Mandy
wanted to come over, it made her day as she eagerly agreed then asked
her father for permission. He agreed, provided that the two did their
homework first which led to Jeff and Mila groaning at their need to do
the same too.
Philip complained about them getting friends already while nobody in his
school would pay attention to him let alone go over his house. He looked
upset, Jeff softly told him, "Give it time. Some of the girls' brothers
are in the same class so will have to do something with you. They're
slow to take hints, but aren't going to be like the others and should be
around you more once he realizes you're my cousin."
At home, Jeff went up to his room and changed. He got dressed in his
favorite skirt and blouse and put on his favorite pantyhose then some
makeup. He left his room and walked downstairs and realized too late
that he just made a huge mistake: he just outed himself to Mandy.
She looked at him then didn't react, just doing her homework with Ava
while Mila did hers. Jeff tried to focus on his but it was getting bad.
He ran upstairs to get away and change his clothes, but stopped as a
concerned Mila grabbed him into a hug and kissed his cheek.
To his shock, he was asked by Mandy if he was alright because he wasn't
acting like he normal did. He tried to form words to which she told him,
"I knew all along that you're a crossdresser, I could see it in you as
you looked at us in school. Boys don't do that unless they know what
it's like to wear them. You weren't checking our chests, you were
checking our clothes. Nobody knows that you do it, but I figured it out
earlier. I won't tell anyone, nobody would believe me anyway..."
He asked how she knew about that. She blushed and told him, "I looked
online while I was waiting for my psychiatrist. My dad made me go see
one because I'm always alone and never do anything with other people. I
read something that one of the doctors out in California doing research
on children who are transgender and who made note of traits that are
shared among them. That was one of the ones that a lot shared but it was
also one that they had with crossdressers. It stuck with me because of
that. I saw that she was from New England so it made sense, she's from a
rich family who help people like Ava so it was stuff that she knew. I'm
sorry for not telling you that it's alright, I didn't want to upset
you."
He was relieved and redid his homework so that it was better. The four
went upstairs so that Jeff and a relieved Ava could change, but led to
blushing as they did so in front of Mila and Mandy. Jeff had to tell
Mila that she had to get out, while Mandy simply handed her the clothes
that she needed.
When she was changed, Mandy told Ava, "You have some nice things but you
need to upgrade your style. It's a little too young for you, you look
like you're in 4th grade. You'd look great with simple blue and white
blouses and matching skirts. Your dresses are fine but not practical for
winter here."
Ava thanked her for that, Eve had to hide her pride as Ava had her first
heart to heart with a girl and she benefited from it immensely. It was
time for them to go shopping, especially as it was needed as she'd get a
lot bigger soon. The clothes needed an upgrade, her little girl needed a
new style for herself soon.
The foursome relaxed until dinner then parted. Ava hugged Mandy and
kissed her cheek. It was a happy moment for both, they hit it off
extremely well and Ava felt like she'd be alright now in school.
Things did settle after that. The ladies went shopping with Jeff going
along as a voice of reason for the three girls. He didn't get anything
for himself, but he did enjoy telling Ava what not to get while Mila
enjoyed trying to flaunt herself to him with her mother giving her a
glare to stop her antics.
Seeing Ava nude in the changing room cubicle caused Mandy to blush as it
was the first penis that she had seen. It struck her that it looked out
of place on Ava, with Ava's pretty bust and legs making her look like
she was older than just the 12-years-old that she was. She was a bit
jealous of that, but she did her best to hide if as it was no different
than how she felt around the other girls in class.
Ava sensed her unease and told her that she was lucky to look so pretty
even if she had just started to get boobs. She was asked what she meant,
to which Ava pointed to the unseen growth in her nipples as they were
growing bigger. She gasped to which Ava happily told her, "It's the
first signs. I used to look at mine every day to see if they're growing.
My nipples were first, you can start to feel the swelling in your chest
that follow. Look closer, you can see the puffiness starting to show."
She was in tears as Ava helped her dress. Remy asked what happened to
which she hugged the girls as it was something that both needed. She was
happy to have shared that moment with a girl, especially as it was
something that she needed and Remy was happy to share.
A few training bras were bought and saw Otis blushing at learning what
was bought and why. He then hugged Mandy and thanked Remy for helping
his daughter. Remy just nodded and added, "She had need of a mom, I went
through it last year with Mila so it was easy to do. Ava is the one to
thank, she is the one who saw the good news and asked me to help her."
Ava blushed as he hugged her. The families separated and showed that the
girls were getting closer than any of them had thought possible. They
were friends in full, and sealed it that day.
Jeff's being there wasn't questioned, especially as he was carrying all
of the bags for them. He tried to not be noticed and wasn't questioned.
Eve happily hugged him to calm him, with Ava smiling at that.
At home, Mandy confessed to her father what happened and why and asked
that he not blame Ava for what happened. He asked about Jeff, she looked
away in shame then told him, "He was there to help his cousin. He wears
girls clothes at home, but he's not transgender. His family does it, his
grandfather started it and his father and uncle did it when they were
kids. He likes doing it a lot. Please don't tell his any of the Coles
that I told you, I don't want Ava upset at me."
She was in tears, he could only tell her, "I won't say anything unless
it becomes an issue. It sounds as if it's nothing to them and nobody is
hurt so I'm not going to intervene. I want you to be happy and this is
something that would destroy your friendship if I didn't support your
being close to them."
She hugged him and went off to put her clothes away. He did call Sarah
to ask about what he was told, he expected the runaround but she simply
told him, "He's a crossdresser. He had an exam a few months ago after I
found out about it. He isn't transgender, just appreciates being a girl
for a while."
He asked her honest opinion about the girls and their relationship as he
didn't want his daughter to get upset if Ava liked her as more than a
friend. Sarah had to suppress her laughter but finally managed to tell
him, "She's into boys, not girls. She sees your daughter as a friend and
nothing more, she's the first girl to treat Ava like a friend and share
a lot of misery. They're good friends, possibly soulmates."
He let her go and endured Mandy asking if he seriously thought that Ava
might be trying to date her. He deflected the question but finally told
the truth. She firmly told him, "She likes boys, I know that she does
because we talked about the ones in class and she didn't look at me
once. When we changed I didn't see 'it' get bigger, she didn't even look
at my vagina. She looked at my chest but that was due to my needing help
with a shirt. She didn't try to touch me, she just saw my chest was
puffy and told me I needed a bra because I was starting to get boobs.
She's my friend, nothing more."
He saw the fire in her eyes and backed off of those thoughts. She hugged
him and cried, telling him, "I don?t want to lose her as my friend. She
likes me a lot and is the only one who doesn?t see me as just a loser
because of you. She knows me and I know her. We?re friends, I?ve never
had a real friend."
The next day saw the girls going out together while Philip and Jeff
stayed at home and worked out with Steve and Stan. Philip got to see
just how intense Steve?s workouts had to be to maintain his stamina as
well as his strength, even if he wasn?t one of the musclebound meatheads
that dominated wrestling. He saw his dad in a whole new light,
especially as he went on instinct and practice with his movements.
Jeff showed Philip how to workout without getting to intense, with Jeff
loving that Philip followed his every word and tried to imitate his
movements. The two went at it harder than Stan wanted them to but Steve
saw that it was doing a lot of good and let them continue on. They
wouldn?t hurt themselves, they would simply work their tails off before
tiring out and cooling down.
He was right as the two tired not long after, with their bodies finally
telling them that they needed rest. It was further enforced as their
stomachs growled with hunger, lunch was needed fast for the two. Stan
gave his son a grin, he knew his son well and started to show that he
understood Jeff too.
After lunch, Philip asked if he could box like Jeff and his friends.
Jeff looked up at Stan who nodded, it was only fair. Jeff opted out of
boxing and got dressed, with Philip doing his best to not ask about it
as it was clear that it was something that Jeff felt the urge to do
while he himself didn?t feel any urge.
Philip worked hard and listened to everything that Stan told him. He
happily hit as hard as he could and held back when told to as Stan told
him he?d break his hand if he continued punching as he did. He had no
idea that he could hurt himself just practicing, but was shown that his
fingers were starting to swell and bruise and would have broken if he
hit the wrong spot in the bag again.
After showering, he finally asked Jeff about the dressing. Jeff turned
it around and asked if he ever did it or if he was afraid of how he
might feel. Philip tried to hide his pain but blurted out, "I refuse to
dress! The boys would tease me because of Ava, I won?t go near girly
things. I don?t like it, you can be a girl but I don?t want to be one.
I?m not a girl, I?m not a weirdo!"
He ran off in tears, Steve stopped Jeff from following after him and
surmised, "He held that in for a long time. Ava?s transition has been
toughest on him because of the boys in his school. They know all about
Ava thanks to his grandparents telling everyone who would listen. He
hates anyone mentioning him as a girl, he refuses to go into Ava?s room
or help with any of the laundry for fear of being called a girl."
Jeff sought out Philip later on and saw him trying hard to not look at a
picture of him and Ava from the time before she transitioned. He
sniffled and softly told Jeff, "She can do it, I can?t. I?m not as
strong as Ava, I?m not ever going to be like her. She?s smarter than me
and better with people, I?m just dumb and nobody likes me. I?m not going
to ever be as good as her, I?m just going to be in her shadow."
He sighed and shot back, "She?s different than you, she has to be that
way because people will always go after her. She isn?t you. You aren?t
her. This isn?t Kansas City. Your grandparents can?t hurt you. The
school doesn?t know the real you yet, they will soon. They haven?t seen
the real you, you just got there. I know it sucks, it took me months to
find friends. You have time, just wait it out. They?ll come to you once
they see that you aren?t just a new kid: you?re the son of a pro
wrestler, grandson of a legend, and going to be bigger and stronger than
most of them. Just give it time, you?ll find your friends."
Philip asked why he liked dressing. Jeff grinned and happily explained,
"I wanted to feel different and I grew to love how I felt being someone
else. I?m still me, but I look different. I feel like a girl, but I?m a
boy inside. I love the clothes and the makeup. Grandpa is the same, he
just likes to feel like someone in his own world without any of the
pressures of being Stan Dallas. He?s himself as a girl, even if old."
Philip asked if he could be a girl like Jeff, Jeff nodded and led him
over to his room to try some of his older clothes- the same ones that
his father Jimmy had gotten him before he was killed. He put Philip in a
pair of panties, pantyhose, a blouse, and a skirt then helped with his
hair and added a little makeup. It took him an hour, but Philip was gone
and a little girl was there: one not too dissimilar to Ava in looks.
Jeff led Philip downstairs to show him off to Stan and Steve and got a
nod of approval from both. Jeff happily told both, "He asked about it
and I thought he?d appreciate it. He makes an OK girl, just not one who
would do much beyond this. He wanted to know, now he knows. It?s up to
him to do it again, I?m not going to ask him to and Ava doesn?t seem
like she?d do it either."
Philip was scared but neither of them said anything more. He sat down
and watched Stan and Steve do a lot of writing and working on things
that he didn?t understand. Jeff knew what was going on and told his
cousin, "They?re working on wrestling stuff, they must have to do some
of it for GCW."
Steve countered, "It?s recommendations for background work to setup my
joining them. I?m going to be in the buildup matches but I wanted dad to
get involved. I figured that we could make a connection to a couple of
guys who need the help and maybe getting your grandfather?s rival back
into the mix. There?s a lot of work to do but we think we found the
right group to work with on it."
The two got to enjoy Stan making phone calls to a couple of old friends,
with Ted Rude being one that caused the boys to ask about most. Steve
happily told them, "It?s the 30th anniversary of your granddad?s biggest
match, Ted could use the money and push for more public appearances so
we figured he?d do it as a big callback. His son is actually involved in
GCW as a wrestler so could get a push while I?m in a feud with his
friend. Dad has his own choice for who to bring in: Randy Rhodes, son of
Bob Rhodes. A couple of guys were considered but Randy is simply
stagnant and needs the push for his own career."
Ted Rude saw the boys in the background and asked about that. Stan
happily told him, "What they do is their own thing. I?m not putting them
on TV, but I figured you?d accept a settlement that?d callback to our
feud and give you a way into the GCW again that?ll please fans. You can
use the money, your son could use the push, and we have Randy Rhodes
lined up to take the instigator role sparking it all. He?ll be the one
your son faces while mine moves on to the real feud. He?s older than
them, so they get their chances at a title shot after him. It?ll also
extend their use in GCW for two years- with more pay too."
Ted was listening and agreed, then called back an hour later to tell him
that he got his son?s approval as well as his heartfelt appreciation for
thinking about his future with the company. It was then relayed to
Taylor and Vince Turner to get final approval with the whole event
ending up taking place up in Boston as it was the fitting location to
spark everything. Ice Box Stan Dallas being involved in the event would
draw huge numbers for them as he always brought in casual fans, but
having his own son involved as well as making it tie-in with his own
feud years before would make it all the more special for all.
Philip was still dressed when the girls returned. Eve stopped in her
tracks as she saw him and asked if it was a joke or did Philip get into
trouble. He ran upstairs to his room while Steve explained to his wife,
"It was his own request. He asked to do it so Jeff helped him. It?s part
of his therapy, a lot of wounds he had never got healed were uncovered.
Jeff helped him talk it out and he got dressed just to see how he felt
dressed as a girl. He?s not like Jeff, I think it?s just a one-time
thing for the day."
Ava managed to open Philip?s locked door and crept inside, cuddling the
sobbing Philip then kissing his cheek. She softly told him, "You aren?t
like me and you aren?t like Jeff. Mom was just shocked that you would
dress as a girl, dad is probably telling her why you did it. You don?t
have to do it again, it?s not you. If you like it then you can do it
with Jeff but you don?t have to do anything just to please me."
He hugged her and tearfully told her, "I just wanted to be with someone.
I hate being all alone. It?s hard being your brother, everyone expects
me to be like you. I?m not you, I?m not a girl."
She rocked him and kissed his cheek. He calmed down enough so she
explained to him, "You are you. I am me. Nobody can be us. I?m different
than you, I?m transgender. You?re a normal boy, you just have a
transgender sister. I don?t care about those assholes in Kansas City
anymore, I care about you. We all do. You?re my brother, you aren?t
alone. You?ll find someone to be close to you, I just got lucky. She?s a
great girl, she was the right person at the right time to be friends
with me. You?ll find someone, it?ll take a while but you?ll find a
friend at the school. Don?t lose faith, they?re out there for you to
find. It?s just been too quick to find the real people who?ll be your
friend, but give it time and you will."
The two fell asleep together, bringing tears to Eve?s eyes while Sarah
happily told Steve, "She is doing a lot more for him tonight than she
has done before. He needed his big sister, she took to the role well. I
know it?s not ideal, but your little girl just showed that she?s
maturing more than in body."
He felt great pride hearing that, Stan happily told him, "He?s sensitive
and tries to act like you but knows it isn?t needed. It?s tough
following in someone?s footsteps, yours are tough to fill. He?s only 11
but it?s already tough to be the son that you want him to be because Ava
can?t be that."
Jeff tried to make himself scarce but Stan and Steve sat him down and
told him, "You?re the eldest so it falls on you to ensure that they?re
alright when we?re away. Your mom and aunt are there but you?re in
school with Ava and will be around Philip at home. It?s a lot of
responsibility, are you up to it?"
He nodded and mumbled, "I?ll ask the guys if their brothers are willing
to hang out with Philip. He?s not as distant as he thinks, they?re
trying to figure out how to go to him without it seeming like it?s due
to uncle Steve and grandpa. It?s tough to do it with Mila and the girls
taking up our time after school."
Steve grinned and shot back, "Then spend time with the guys. You could
afford time off, especially as I want you boys to continue what dad was
teaching you. Their brothers could join you, if they can be on their
best behavior. Besides, Ava could use some girl time with Mila and the
girls anyway."
Plans were made with the other parents, with all of them in agreement
that it?s for the best that they do some more activities alone while the
girls learned that they didn?t have to be around the boys all of the
time. Remy was fine with the girls coming by, especially as Mila was
their leader and set the tone. She was also thrilled that Mila forced
the younger girls to join them ensuring they got some fun too.
Philip was told the next day and saw him smiling as the younger brothers
of two of the boys joined the boys at the Cole home. The boys
reluctantly joined Philip in learning the basics and started to grow as
a friend when they started talking about class and the kids in it.
Philip was different at home, they saw a side of him that he hid in
school that was vastly different and one that needed to be shown to all.
School started to get better for him as he talked more with the boys and
hung out at their homes after a workout at his own home. Their fathers
were jealous that he was able to do stuff like that with them, it was
making them feel inferior which caused their wives to tell them that
it?s their own fault as the dads were lazy or too focused on work to do
anything with the boys. It led to fights, but eventually their sons got
them to see that they could do it too but didn?t want to do it- they
were just jealous of the Coles.
Ava had her first visit with her new psychiatrist two weeks after
arriving. It was awkward as the doctor asked a lot of questions about
Jeff and her relationship to see if her being a girl had anything to do
with Jeff and Stan?s dressing. She tried to answer as best she could,
even if it wasn?t to his satisfaction.
After an hour of questioning, Ava angrily told the doctor, "I only just
met Jeff, he didn?t influence me to be a girl. I felt like I was a girl
since I was born. I?d dress in mom?s clothes a lot and would play with a
couple of girls who lived across the street. I was always girly, mom and
dad were told that a lot by my grandparents. I only came to the
conclusion when I saw a documentary on girls like me on TV, done by the
Finn Foundation. I saw kids who looked no different than me but who had
a penis or vagina that they didn?t want. They were girls and boys, I saw
that I was like them and I wasn?t a boy: I?m a girl."
She sighed then told him, "These things on my chest are all mine: they
aren?t falsies. It?s from hormones, ones that I?ve been on for a year.
Dr. Wiles saw the real me she told mom and dad that I?m a girl and I
should be allowed to be one. I took to them because mom?s family are big
breasted as is grandpa?s. Jeff hadn?t even met me until three weeks ago
so I had no idea that he dressed. Dad hid that he did it when he was a
kid and everyone knows about grandpa and his year as a girl. Jeff is my
cousin, but he had no impact on my being a girl. I don?t need him to
tell me how to be a girl or act like one, I am one."
She got up and left, Eve was going to say something but the doctor
smirked and told her, "I was testing her. I?ve heard it before, but that
proved that it wasn?t a fad. I read Drs. Eliza?s and Wiles? reports and
I have my opinions about her care but it?s more to do with threats from
others who aren?t looking out for what?s best for her. I am of the
belief that she is transgender and needs treatment, which I can offer.
I?m not about to go against someone who is able to get an immediate
appointment with Dr. Eliza and who is also known to John Finn and his
family. I don?t know how that was pulled off, but my hands are tied."
Eve offered a somber, "My husband?s employers arranged the appointment
with Dr. Eliza. She knew Dr. Wiles through another patient so it was
just confirming Dr. Wiles? diagnosis. We didn?t know that they had a
connection to my brother-in-law until it was mentioned, he met us for a
few hours and introduced us to his friends who also knew Dr. Wiles. It
was coincidence and luck."
He laughed and shot back, "It?s connecting the dots: your husband is
employed by GCW. Taylor Turner is a friend of the Finns so asked a favor
of them on behalf of your daughter. Your brother-in-law knew a major
member of their family and named your niece after the most famous scion
of the family. It?s not too much of a stretch to think that you met John
Finn himself as he likes to meet those who benefit in a way from him,
and likely reporting back to Taylor Turner about what happened. John is
known to a lot of us in the psychiatric community so him getting
involved via a friend isn?t surprising."
She nodded but added, "It was timing. He met us because he planned on
stopping by, he had no idea of my brother-in-law?s connection and Taylor
Turner didn?t ask him to check on us. He was happy to see a connection
to his daughter via my niece, and helped us with legal issues regarding
my parents. It?s just a stroke of luck and good timing, he would have
never known us if he waited to talk."
Things quieted after that. Steve made several trips to Boston to meet
with GCW officials as well as the Finns as John wanted to know about Ava
and how she was adjusting. Steve shook his head and asked if it was
really him or someone else. John smirked and gladly told him, "My
daughter asked about her. It?s tough to refuse her request, especially
as she wants to have her as a patient some day."
Steve?s trips were talked about by the school, with Philip happily
telling people that his dad was going out to previously arranged matches
for the regional independent titles. He was true, half of the trips to
Boston were for events in the cities of Melrose and Woburn but also to
meet with GCW about his new character and how he wanted to setup things.
The fact that he was establishing himself as a local and in a feud with
several local talents only added to his image, it was helping GCW just
as much as him.
Steve?s toughest trips were around Maine and New Hampshire as locals saw
him and razzed him at the events with the razzing causing fans outrage
as they complained about the group destroying the events with their
garbage. They didn?t care about his personal life, Steve was a wrestler
and unless your kid is a horrible person you don?t mess with them:
especially young ones like Ava. Ava was never mentioned by Steve nor
were fans interested in his personal life, the detractors were simply
drowned out by fans in a dramatic manner that helped the event as it
seemed to be bigger than it really was thanks to the noise.
Remy?s divorce was uncontested and saw her winning everything from her
husband. Mila was awarded to her mother with her father not even trying
to fight for her. After the hearing he packed his things and left them,
with no way to contact him and a note telling them that he refused to
ever see them again. It was bittersweet for Remy, but Sarah and Eve were
there for her with support and love.
Mandy started to get acclimated to the family and hosted Ava over her
house on the weekend. Otis was happy to see the change in her and
supported their friendship. Warnings about his firing were flung around,
but he grinned and asked the ones making the claims just how they?d
achieve that as he had been highly touted by the state and there were no
issues except with from those who exerted pressure on the schools for
their own means.
Remy acted like a second mother to Mandy, helping her with issues of
two-faced girls and of boys who didn?t take the hint to leave her alone.
Otis felt upset at her doing that, but started to grow closer to Remy as
time wore on. The girls happily facilitated their closeness, especially
Mila.
The two were often together so much that Mila suggested that they try
dating. The two blushed but Mila had a point: they were almost dating
anyway so it would only make it official. Mila grinned as she and Mandy
stayed with the Coles for the night with Jeff happily going to the cabin
with Philip.
The date was a smashing success as the two blushed the next morning when
the girls were dropped off. Mila saw the look in her mother?s eye while
her mother tried to look away in shame, the two had done it and enjoyed
their time together. This only strengthened as the two girls got along
great and enjoyed a night entwined in one another?s arms as they slept
in Jeff?s bed.
The couple grew closer and after a week the girls asked them what they
were going to do next. The two blushed to which Remy told them, "He
asked me to marry him. I couldn?t say no, we get along so well. I know
that I can never replace her mother, but but I want to be her mother if
Mila will accept him as her dad. You deserve a good father, he can be
just that."
The two needed a few minutes to think about it. They looked at one
another and cried, they would get to be sisters. They couldn?t stand in
their parents? way, they wanted them to get married.
Mila happily called Otis, "Dad" while Mandy called Remy, "Mom". The
couple understood what it meant and hugged the girls, then kissed
deeply. They were going to become one, with the girls happy to be part
of one another?s lives through family instead of through Ava and Jeff.
News of the engagement spread quickly. Sarah managed to get through
first which led to her crying as it was so beautiful that the girls had
given their blessing to each. Eve was proud that they had met their true
counterparts, even if one came through the pain of losing his first
love.
Steve started to pile-up his bookings to the point that he was all over
Maine and New Hampshire for a month as he worked hard to earn money for
the family. Sarah was concerned but Eve sadly told her that it was just
like he was in Kansas City, only it was all for a big payoff in the end.
He was going to be in a lot of matches and on the road a lot, but he?d
see himself only on the road three nights a week in just a few weeks
while earning ten times what he earned before and with a long-term
contract on top of it.
The bookings took a toll on him but he got the reactions that the
promoters wanted. He enjoyed helping the younger guys look good and
directed a few to "easier" areas with a few words to the right folks in
the companies in those areas. The money would be there for the
youngsters, and having experienced a match with Steve gave them an upper
hand in negotiations later on.
The kids went to several shows in the Bangor area, ones that weren?t
attended by anyone that knew the family. Steve ensured that the usual
hecklers were banned while also ensuring that his family were safe from
people trying to get at him through them. Stan went alongside them,
giving the shows a boost as it wasn?t advertised but word got around
fast that one of GCW?s most famous stars was there watching an event and
giving autographs to folks- after they bought merchandise of the other
wrestlers first.
Stan happily put that stipulation so that the wrestlers made something
from him being there, especially as he offered a lot of encouragement to
fans about how the wrestlers were doing. It boosted them as the fans
started to pay closer attention to the other matches while giving the
wrestlers a new following. He knew what he was doing, with the wrestlers
realizing that it was an old trick to mitigate jealousy.
Remy, Mila, Otis, and Mandy were in over their heads but enjoyed the
shows. Steve was a hit and once it was known that he was now a local
fans started to cheer louder for him giving the shows new energy. The
four weren?t wrestling fans, but it was hard not to get into the action
especially as they knew that it was "fake" but still a lot of fun and
excitement.
Otis and Remy married during April vacation, with Mandy and Mila staying
with the Coles while their parents went on vacation. Remy legally
adopted Mandy while Otis legally adopted Mila making them a complete
family just before the wedding finalized it. The happy couple went off
and enjoyed their time away, with Mila and Remy happy to have their
parents together while enjoying being sisters as well.
Ava benefited form them being there as she and Mandy shared a bed. Mila
bunked in Jeff?s room while he and Philip spent the week at the cabin or
over other kids? houses. Nobody dared make mention of it being clear
that Mila was staying over her boyfriend?s house, they were never
together except at dinner.
Steve?s big reveal to the GCW world came up just after April Vacation
ended. WrestleCade was down in Orlando so required Steve to leave Friday
afternoon. The whole family were going, with all of the Coles making an
appearance on air for the first time as part of an interstitial vignette
that setup the big match between Ted Rude Jr. and Steve. Steve would win
the match, "Earn" a GCW contract, and be in a feud with Ted Jr. while
Ted Sr. egged them on. The big payoff was Ted Jr. and Sr. losing in
humiliating fashion in a specialty match that summer then moving on to
another person while Steve started his rise to the top of GCW for his
own shot at the top title while putting over other guys along the way.
The weekend was long and tough on the kids as Steve was forced to act
like he was there for one of the usual independent promotions? events
while also working with GCW to maintain secrecy over his work with them
the next day. The kids went out into the city with Sarah and Eve and
visited multiple sites as well as enjoyed time with Taylor Turner?s kids
as they did the same. The kids were grateful for that, it was a good
distraction from the usual boring trips and gave them a chance to unwind
and enjoy the trip.
The Turner kids were good with the girls, with Ava blushing as she had
Taylor?s older son was all but in a daze as he followed her around. She
knew that he had a crush on her, especially as he looked at her breasts
every so often as they walked through the various sites. Jeff was ready
to protect Ava from the boy, but she appreciated what the boy was doing
for her and made her feel like a real girl for the day.
When they were eating lunch, she asked the boy about his looks. He
blushed deeply to which she told him, "I?m not a normal girl, I?m
transgender. I don?t want you upset at me for thinking that I made you
think that I was a real girl. Please, I?m just a fake girl not a real
one."
He looked away in shame then told her, "My older sister like you, as is
my mom. I?m sorry for looking at your chest, I know it?s not nice. I
tried to not do it but it?s hard to not see them."
She kissed his cheek and thanked him for that. He didn?t react to it as
he saw Jeff eyeing him closely. It was tough on him to not react to a
boy eyeing Ava?s breasts, but she was fine with it after the talk.
The families rejoined Taylor and Steve at the hotel and saw Steve off to
his final independent events. It was tough to see him tell the owners of
the various wrestling companies that he wasn?t going to be able to
wrestle for them, with his claims of having to be there for his family
seen as dubious at best. He did his best to not get upset, but he
finally told several, "I?ve worked hard for years and need to take a
break from the circuit. You now full well how hard it is on people, it?s
even tougher on me. My daughter has a long road ahead of her and needs
her father home for a while, so I?m staying home with her."
The next night was great fun as Steve went to the arena without anyone
noticing, while the Coles went in a limo and acted as Stan?s entourage
for the event. His being there wasn?t known, but being one of a long
list of alumnae there was nothing to take notice of especially as he was
now known to be an actor with a lot of hit movies under his belt. It was
image, even if it meant more that night.
The night unfurled in a sequence of events that played out on camera.
Ted Sr. confronted Stan about his being there which led to Stan asking
if he was finally going to live up to his stipulation. Ted reluctantly
agreed to show that he was man enough to be a woman which led to Ted
being used as a guinea pig by Ava as she happily used him to practice
her makeup- with the GCW ladies watching the whole bit.
After that, Ted Sr. was confronted by his son with Randy Rhodes telling
the two that the past was best left in the past and that Stan and Ted
were finally over- Ted Sr. did what he agreed to do and did it with
dignity that Randy hadn?t yet shown to the world and did it in front of
everyone despite not having to do it. Randy was going to play the part
of, "Man in the middle" as he setup his feud with Ted Jr. and the
evening?s special event match while also putting down groundwork for a
future feud with Steve. There was a bit in there that added onto other
feuds as the guys talked about what happened and setup some of the other
wrestlers for their own feuds as they took sides in the argument.
The final bits were Stan happily reminiscing with the ladies about days
gone by while helping them put on makeup and teaching them some tricks
that he learned. Ted Sr. was in there and looked upset but did it
without saying a word while the ladies talked around him. Ted Jr.
finding him with the ladies and not doing anything to get out of his
stipulation led to the final confrontation: him vs. Stan in the ring for
a shocking special match, one that fans cheered loudly over potentially
getting.
Stan walked out to the ring and told Ted Jr. that his days in the ring
were over and he?d die in there if he tried to appease a spoiled brat.
Ted Jr. called him out and mocked him, so Stan offered him a chance to
get his match but doing it via a proxy. Steve?s music hit causing a
rousing cheer while the announcers happily touted just who the newcomer
was: Stan?s elder son and the man who carried the Dallas name.
Ted Jr. tried to weasel out of it but was stopped by Steve. The two
stared one another down then started their match leading to a quick 15
minutes of action that left fans cheering wildly. Steve won the match in
a manner that fans loved: he used his own finisher on Ted Jr. a tilt-a-
whirl suplex rib breaker that is as painful as it looks as it knocks the
wind out of you for a second.
Stan stood proud while Ted Sr. shook his head in disgrace. Stan handed
Ted Sr. wipes to clean his face in a sign of them being alright now
which caused the crowd to cheer while Ted Jr. looked on in anger. It was
followed by Randy Rhodes coming out to help Ted Jr. to the back and
getting pushed away, with it being clear that they were now about to
feud while Steve moved on to something bigger.
Ava and Philip hugged Steve while Jeff grinned at his uncle. Steve
hugged him too, telling him that it?s his saddest and happiest day: he
wished that Jimmy could be there to share in the glory. Jeff tried not
to cry but lost it, with Stan telling those around him that he was
crying over his father not being there.
Stan had to further explain what he meant, with the wrestlers nodding
and hugging Jeff while he tried to calm himself. Taylor Turner led him
to the ladies? dressing room and told him to enjoy himself as he needed
to vent. Jeff timidly walked over to the makeup table and started to put
on some of it leading to the ladies seeing that the apple didn?t fall
too far from the tree with Stan?s family.
The rest of the night went smoothly as Jeff relaxed among the women and
told them about Steve and a man who wasn?t like his father but who did
what he needed to do to make a living in the business. They listened and
started to see Steve as someone who wasn?t like Stan: he was more
independent and tried a lot of the time to not be helped but knew just
what to do when needed. He was a lot like them, only he had a legacy to
live up to that few of them had and even fewer could shoulder the burden
of.
The night saw multiple title changes and Taylor announcing her
retirement from the sport. Taylor was in a quiet area near Jeff and
hugged him deeply as the mother in her needed to console him while her
own nerves were lessened after the emotional night. Steve sought Jeff
out and hugged Taylor as well, it was tough seeing someone who needed to
retire but whose heart was always going to be in the sport.
Stan kissed Taylor goodbye and told her that she had done more in her
short time as a wrestler than he had done in his decades of being part
of the business. Ava solemnly told her that she wishes she could look
like her when she got older. Steve led her away as Taylor cried, she hit
the right chord in Taylor and gave her renewed vigor as the young girl
gave her a reason to go on: she had to be the best woman that she could
be because she was one of the biggest role models for transgender women.
The family flew back after things wrapped, with the kids sleeping on the
plane then being carried into the house by Stan and Steve. They awoke
the next morning to go to school but were clearly tired, with a happy
Mila and Mandy helping keep Ava and Jeff on track. The two were clearly
exhausted from the long day and traveling, it was something that the
others in school somehow understood especially as it was huge news among
all of the parents and students at their school.
The family spent much of the week to themselves once Mila and Mandy
left. Their friends gave them a wide berth as they were in no condition
to play or workout much. It was a tough week, but eventually all three
kids were back to normal while Jaimie struggled with getting back on her
normal schedule.
Steve was away Saturday morning through Tuesday afternoon, giving the
kids less time with him but as a counter to it he did the school runs
when he was home so they at least got to see him some. He wasn?t too
upset over not doing too many house shows around the country, he liked
performing but not five or six days a week as he had done in the past.
He was comforted in knowing that it wasn?t needed as he?d finally
reached a level of stardom that allowed him to not need those shows
anymore- he was getting a lot of cheers and fans clamoring for his
merchandise all through his work on TV and on the weekend.
