I was gently woken by a smooth rocking motion. I was in a car and it was moving.

I sat up. I was in the non-existent back seat of Chloe’s Jaguar. I understood what had been done. Chloe or Ella had created the back seat in which to lay me while they drove, but what happened to force this kind of measure?

“You’re awake!” Ella said and Chloe almost hit another car as she turned to look at me.

“What happened?” Chloe asked, correcting our direction on the road to the sound of blaring horns.

“You tell me,” I said. “I just woke up in a back seat I could swear wasn’t here earlier.”

She shook her head. “No, I’m talking about why did you pass out like that?”

I glanced at Ella. She watched me like I had some sickness that could be contagious. “I’m fine, Ella,” I said, feeling disgruntled. “And I don’t know why, but every time I forge a bond I pass out like that. I tried to warn Ella.”

“You said it would be a short nap,” she said. “I did pass out for a few minutes, but after I got cleaned up, I couldn’t wake you up.”

“Wait, this happens every time?” Chloe asked. “So back at my place...?”

I nodded. “Yeah, that’s why you couldn’t wake me up this morning.”

“You should have said something,” she said. “I could have been ready for it rather than have to scramble like I did.”

I frowned. “Which begs the question: why are we all here in your car rather than back at The Dive?”

“Earl came back,” Ella said and explained that he was extremely surly. She had already gotten dressed and Earl was threatening to throw me out of his bar as I was – butt naked – if she didn’t get me dressed and out of there. Fortunately, Chloe came in to find out what was taking so long and when she saw me, she helped Ella get me dressed and out to her car.

“Thank you, both of you,” I said and then thought about Earl. I looked at Ella. “Is that man ever happy?”

She nodded and shrugged. “Once in a while.”

Chloe only glanced at me in the rear-view mirror.

I looked myself over. Either they had gotten me dressed like an oversized Ken doll or they used Magic. Considering Earl was present and unhappy, they probably used a bit of both. Worse, I could smell the reek of sex on me. “I need to clean up and change clothes,” I said, “and then I need to head over to House Cerenkov.”

Chloe frowned and Ella asked, “Why? The way Chloe talks, you don’t need anyone else to end the Lockdown.”

I nodded. “She’s most likely correct, but I want a backup contingency in place.”

“What contingency?” Chloe asked.

“I want to find someone who can track Fonti,” I said. “I need to at least talk to them.”

“You don’t need more Stirpi?” Ella asked.

“Not for that, I don’t think,” I said. “I should be able to learn the spell by gleaning their memories.”

“How is that a contingency plan?” Chloe asked.

“If we can’t end the Lockdown,” I said, “Then we’ll find Jordan and try to unplug her.”

The two of them shared a look. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to like the thought they shared. “What?” I asked.

“We’ve been talking about your plan,” Ella said. “We’re pretty sure that between the three of us, with any additional necessary help from Dana and Emma, we should all be able to find a way to end the Lockdown directly.”

I nodded. “Good. Are we going to meet Dana?”

Chloe shook her head. “Not just yet. I called Dana. She’s still helping with Shondra. Apparently Shondra decided to take you up on your offer to join your House. They’re packing Shondra’s immediate needs to move into one of the apartments with yours. Dana also told me that Emma is on call at the hospital. So, for the time being, we’re going to your apartment to let you rest and recharge.”

I frowned. “I’ve had enough rest,” I said.

“I also talked to Michael,” she said, ignoring my comment and taking on a chiding tone. “I found out that the last time you went to the school, some men had not only faked a bomb threat to keep everyone from the Lockdown core, but they shot at you when you snuck in.”

“I was with Michael and Greta when that happened,” I said, trying to sound calm. “No one got hurt and I even helped Michael escape by casting a darkness spell on the men shooting at us.”

“That’s not the point,” Chloe said sharply. “Those men could still be at the school, and if we go back without a plan, we may all get shot.”

“You didn’t seem quite so afraid to confront those syndicate goons on the way to the Dive,” I said. “Why are you worried about the men at the school?”

She held up a single finger, probably to tell me to hold on a minute because we were about to enter my apartment complex. She pulled in and around. “Where’s your apartment?” she asked and I gave her directions. Once the car was parked, she killed the engine and turned in her seat to face me.

“Michael doesn’t think they were Syndicate,” she said. “He said they were Guild members.”

I frowned and nodded. “Greta told me she thought they were too. Unfortunately, regardless of who they are, I still have to get to the Lockdown core and resolve this.”

Chloe rolled her eyes. “Michael also told me how much you DON’T know.” She sighed again. “The Guild is a collection of Magi Houses in contention against the Council. They don’t believe there should be a single governing body ruling over all Houses, but a collection of representatives making the system more like the House of Representatives than the President of the United States.”

I shook my head. “Either way, the leadership is chosen by vote.”

She shook a hand at me. “Okay, not the President, maybe a king or monarchy. As it is, the only time one of the Council members are replaced is if one of them dies. Even then the remaining members choose the Magus to fill the gap. No one else has any say about it.”

I frowned. “What does that have to do with the Lockdown?”

“I’m getting to that,” she said. “Michael said the guys shooting at you were Guild members. He thinks Valory is also Guild.”

I shrugged. “Okay, so they don’t agree with the Council and how they handle things. I have some issues with the way some of their rules work too.”

She shook her head. “It’s bigger than that. You’ve put together the possibility that the missing women, your Fonte, Jordan, included, are linked to the Lockdown. No one’s arguing, because it makes sense. Have you figured out why Valory is collecting all that power?”

I shook my head. “No, but if we end the Lockdown, we end the theat.” I looked at each of them. “Right?”

Chloe sighed. “From what you’ve told me already, even if you were to end the Lockdown today, Valory already has tons of energy stored up. You said it yourself. Humans are the best batteries when it comes to storing magical energy. So, she will still have all that energy to tap for whatever she has planned.”

I shrugged. “If I end the Lockdown, then everyone else in the area, including those deputies, will have access to their power too. They’ll be able to stop Valory from using that energy.”

Ella finally got in a word. “Only if you can find her,” she said and glanced at Chloe. “If everyone is looking for her but no one finds her, ending the Lockdown may only speed up her end game.”

“So, when I end the Lockdown,” I said, “We need to know where Valory is so we can stop her from tapping all that stored up energy.”

Both of the women nodded. Then Ella looked at Chloe. “Can we go inside now? I’m getting cold.”

Chloe nodded and the two of them got out on their respective sides.

I scrambled out between the bucket seats and followed Ella out. It was easier than trying to squeeze past the steering wheel.

We no more than hit the sidewalk and two black SUVs came around the corner and parked on either side of Chloe’s car. Lawson climbed out of one, while Michael and Greta climbed out of the other.

No one said anything. There was a collection of shared looks that told the others what they were. I didn’t understand how they could share looks like that and seemingly know what everyone else was. The Laws of secrecy seemed to stamp out things like that. I shook my head in confusion and led the way to my front door. Once it was unlocked and opened, everyone filed in after me.

No one was there. Katrina lived with me, but she was at school. She continued working as Professor Dumont’s Teacher’s assistant. As busy as I had been since Jordan went missing, I hadn’t seen either of them. Granted, going to my classes was the last thing on my mind.

Lawson went straight for my refrigerator and opened the door. He looked inside for a moment and then looked at me. “You don’t have anything harder than these vodka malt drinks?”

I shook my head. “They’re not mine. They’re Katrina’s.”

He pulled one out. “I hope she doesn’t mind,” he said, and then he twisted off the cap and chugged half the bottle.

I shrugged. He had a bad day yesterday, losing Wilson and having to send Carlos home due to injuries. I wasn’t going to make things worse for him, if he let me.

He wiped his mouth and looked at Chloe. “Did you tell him?”

I looked from one to the other and stopped with Chloe. “You said you talked to Michael, not him.”

Lawson looked at me and grinned. “I knew you wouldn’t accept anything that I passed on, so I told her to say she talked to Michael.”

I sighed and fought not to roll my eyes. “What was she supposed to tell me, specifically?”

“That we haven’t found Valory, that ending the Lockdown may cause more problems than letting it continue would, and that you’re wasting our time by looking for anyone else to help end the Lockdown.”

I stared at him without saying or doing anything. He chugged more of the wine cooler. I waited. I could wait forever. He was the one who would rattle first.

He finished the bottle and looked at me. “What?”

“She told me the first two, but left out the last one,” I said and then looked at her. “I’m guessing because you didn’t agree?”

She nodded and we both looked at Lawson.

“It doesn’t matter,” he said. “We’re not any closer to catching Valory.” At least he wasn’t continuing to insist that I was behind the whole thing. Then he added, “If she even exists.”

I turned my back on him and looked at Michael and Greta. As politely as I could, I offered them something to drink. Both of them declined. “Do you two believe I’m wasting our time looking for more help to end the Lockdown?”

“Not at all,” Michael said. “You should be ready to end the Lockdown, once we know where Valory is.”

I looked at Greta. “What do you think?”

“If we haven’t found Valory by the time you’re ready to end the Lockdown, we should at least know where the missing women are,” she said. “More than likely, Valory will have to tap the power they store directly.”

I nodded. “And I have a plan for doing just that,” I said.

“Oh?” Lawson said from the kitchen. I turned just as he cracked open another bottle. “And just what makes you so sure you can find those women?”

“I’m looking for someone who knows a spell to track Fonti,” I said.

He shook his head. “Why the hell would you want to do that?”

“Because,” I said, politely, slowly, and without any emotion, “one of my Fonti is among those missing women.”

Lawson choked on his drink. “Do what? Why didn’t you tell us this before?”

“You really weren’t in a listening mood,” I said. “Besides, it’s my issue to deal with. So, we find someone who knows such a spell, I glean their memories, and then we’ll know where the missing women are.” I looked around at Greta and Michael. “I considered it a contingency plan in case I can’t end the Lockdown. I thought if nothing else, I could try to free the women, and hopefully end the Lockdown in that way.”

Chloe and Ella shared a look. There was a thought there, something they had discussed with each other but no one else.

“What?” I asked.

Chloe looked at me. “In most cases, once a syphoning spell starts, it only ends if the source of what is being syphoned is empty.”

I nodded. “But if the destination is taken away...?”

She shook her head. “You don’t understand, Seth. You can’t take away the destination. From what little you’ve told us about this, it won’t matter where the missing women are. The Lockdown will continue sending them the energy.”

“What about a shield,” I suggested, wrestling with different ideas, “or some kind of null space? Something that will sever the connection.”

“The reason so many people hate dealing with syphoning spells is because they are so difficult to alter or divert,” she said. “It’s not like you have a length of hose shoved into the gas tank of a car, get the gas flowing and then when the can you’re putting the gas in is full, you just change cans.”

“Actually, that sounds exactly like what’s happening,” I said. “A person can only hold so much energy. The missing women have been the ones going out and finding more women. In the two instances I know of, Valory was nowhere to be seen.”

Chloe shook her head. “You’re not listening, Seth.” She stepped closer to me. “It won’t matter if you take all of those women to another country. They’ll still be tethered to the spell.”

I sighed. “Fine, we can’t end the Lockdown by removing the missing women from it.” Then I glanced at Greta. “But, we’ll know where Valory will be when I end the Lockdown directly.” I looked at Michael. “Do you have a plan for what to do once Valory shows up?”

“It will depend on the structure the missing women are being kept in,” he said. “If they are all together, the number would require a large building, like a warehouse. Once the Lockdown ends, we’ll simply set a trap and then wait for Valory to step in it.”

I nodded. It sounded simple enough. Even better, once the Lockdown was terminated, all of them would have access to their power again and would be able to cast some sort of magical web to catch Valory with. I didn’t need to know that much, and I honestly wasn’t sure I wanted to at this point. I was simply ready for all of this to be over with.

“In the meantime,” Michael said. “I would suggest you recharge. From what I’ve heard, you’ve been expending a lot of energy.”

I looked around at the others. I didn’t know how much any of them knew about Padrone abilities. Michael could see the bonds between a Padrone and his or her Stirpi. He probably knew more than anyone else gathered here. I looked at Michael and waved at the chair. “I want to ask you about that.”

He nodded and sat down. Greta went over to talk to Chloe and Ella. It gave us at least the illusion of privacy.

“How much do you know about Padrone abilities?” I asked him.

He nodded, probably having guessed that I wanted to ask about it. “More than most, both because of my innate ability and because Dana was once one.”

I nodded too. “Good, you don’t mind me asking, do you?”

He shook his head. “No, the more you know, the more effective you’ll be.”

“Then how does this power sharing thing work?” I asked. “Right now I don’t feel drained or the need to recharge. I don’t understand what I should feel. I’ve never used so much energy before I became a Padrone.”

“Well, for most of us, when we start getting drained we start thinking about our Fonti,” he said. “It’s a sign that we should take the time to recharge. If we hold off, we might contact one or more without thinking about it. Beyond that, we simply start looking at everyone as a potential partner for the night. If any further than that, we might act without thought. I’m sure you’ve heard what the worst case scenarios are.”

I nodded. “Blacking out and waking up amidst the remnants of an orgy.”

He nodded too. “That sums it up. For a Padrone, however, it’s harder to tell when you need to recharge, because you’ll automatically draw power from your Stirpi. You know it’s bad when you’re thinking about your own Fonti and all your Stirpi are off somewhere with their own.”

I turned and looked back at Chloe and Ella. They were talking to Greta and even shared a collective smile. I looked at Michael again. “They’re not racing off to meet anyone. Have you heard anything like that from Dana?”

He shook his head. “No.”

“So, then they’re wanting me to get into the habit,” I said. “Probably not a bad idea.”

“What was your habit before you became Padrone?” He asked.

“My Fonti are all on a rotation,” I said. “Since I tell them everything anyway, they all know about each other and help out in such accommodating ways.”

“You mentioned that before,” he said. “Don’t you think sharing so much with them is dangerous?”

“It’s pretty much too late at this point,” I said. “If I were to try to keep things from any of them now, they’d only get mad at me. Can you imagine being in trouble with every one of your Fonti?” I asked.

He thought about it and blinked. His expression took on a look of fear. And I didn’t think anything could scare him. He looked up. “That would be a very bad thing.”

With all the other warriors returning it was not easy. I caught a public transport towards the edge of the city to meet an old friend who said he had an offer for me. Rogue MagusChapter 1

Jordan was gone. I stood there watching the tail lights of the car she was in fade away into the night. I couldn’t believe what was happening. Light grew around me and then someone honked. I jumped to the side of the road. A car passed by. The driver staring at me like I had grown a second head. It was Halloween night. I had chosen a costume like that of Gandalf the Gray, but I had since left off the fake nose and beard. It made it easier to eat and drink at the party being held at my...

Finding the hospital wasn’t an issue. Google Maps helped with that. However, finding the hospital where Dalton had been taken for her specific injuries was a different matter. Oddly, I knew which one she would have gone to. I also knew the layout and where to find her inside. I could only guess that the rumor about a Padrone gaining the experience of a Stirpe was true, and it seemed to go beyond Magical knowledge and experience. I had one Stirpe, Emma Barrett, and she was a Cardiologist. I...

I was wrong about the police waiting for me when we got back to the apartment. In fact, it looked like no one was there at all. Cassandra accompanied me in. I hadn’t thought about it, but it was her night on the rotation. Since it was so late, and there wasn’t anything else I could do about Jordan tonight, we went straight to bed. She showed me just how much of her costume was ‘tear-away’ and then crawled over to me as if it were like any other night we had spent together. The problem was, I...

Lawson and I stood there staring at one another. He looked smug. Things were going his way. I honestly didn’t care if anything went his way or not. What I couldn’t afford – and neither could Jordan – was for me to be detained on some trumped-up charge. I glanced at the others behind Lawson. One was a tall blond man with the build of a pro-wrestler. Another was a Hispanic man who seemed to be distracted by Linda. The third was a small pale-skinned man who was the only one in the group wearing...

Once the cuffs were off, I told everyone to wait while I went to get dressed. “Like we would leave you alone,” Lawson said to my back. He said it low, under his breath. I wasn’t sure if he meant for me to hear him. Turning his comments back around on him was childish, but it would probably be the only way to convince him to stop – or really piss him off to the point he does something suitable to have him removed as Deputy. I turned and met his eyes. “Good, because what I’m planning could be...

At first, when we left campus, I thought we were going back to my apartment, but Michael drove past it and went to I-20. He took it going east. I had an idea where we were going but not why. When we hit the exit for South Collins, I knew where we were going. The reason still eluded me. Michael pulled into the parking lot of a warehouse near a small airfield. I sat down at the table with Augur. “If only those who are being rude call you that, what should I call you?” She smiled. Now that I knew where I knew her from, I realized that she really didn’t look different. There were small changes, something like what I did to myself when I was running from my pursuers the day before. In her case, however, the changes made her look good. I woke up, and it took a second for me to remember where I was. It looked like my room, but the ceiling was wrong, as were the colors of the walls. When I remembered, I turned to find Dana lying next to me. She was making little noises in her sleep and wriggling around. Whatever she was seeing, she certainly seemed to be enjoying it. I was mildly surprised that I woke up first. Emma woke up before I did when we forged our bond, and with my Fonti, the duration of my unconsciousness grew...

I wasn’t sure what to do about Dana’s attitude, but I knew I didn’t like it. She was my Stirpe now, so didn’t that mean she had to follow my lead? I knew she had to follow my orders, but I wasn’t going to do that. I simply didn’t understand why she acted so nonchalant about Michael’s news. Was that how most Padroni behaved? I understood that my status had changed with regards to Magus Law, but did that really make me better than anyone else? I didn’t think so, and acting like news like...

It felt odd, the four of us sitting in a conjured restaurant booth in the corner of an empty warehouse. For that matter, I didn’t understand why we couldn’t go back to my apartment. It was secured. I decided to ask. “We should stay because if you need to learn anything that we might have to correct, we can use our power here,” Dana said. “And, the Syndicate doesn’t seem to know about this place either,” Michael added. “Therefore, it’s safe for the time being.” Then he looked at Dana. “I...

Rogue MagusChapter 14

The drive to our destination was quiet, which gave me time to think. I was still puzzled as to why Jordan was taken. Assuming Valory was involved, and no evidence had been found to suggest she wasn’t, then I knew the answer to my question: she wanted me to stay out of her business. Of course, there was the nagging problem of why she hadn’t tried to contact me to make sure I understood what she wanted. Which suggested she didn’t know Jordan was my Fonti, or she simply didn’t care. Of course,...

Rogue MagusChapter 15

If the front of the store was smaller than most, then the back was an entirely different story. Beyond the curtains, the work room dwarfed the store front by many times. Not only was it the work room, but apparently, it was the storage room, dressing room, and lounge too. From the corner where I came in, the first thing I noticed was the wall mirror on the back wall. It took up the entire wall, floor to ceiling, side to side, and made the entire space appear that much bigger. Shelves lined...

Dana took me by my apartment so I could drop off my regular clothes. I knew someone would be there, namely Katrina, since she lived with me, but I didn’t expect to see Faith. Her move here had been a complication to my life until I decided that I could trust her enough to keep my secret. Rogue MagusChapter 21

I had no more excuses. She wanted me. She understood all of the issues that I was worried about. She even seemed enthusiastic about the idea of being my Stirpe. Chloe wasn’t just a moonlit goddess, she was a wet dream come true. And all I had to do was get undressed. That didn’t go so well. First, there was deciding what to remove first. As frustrated and frazzled as I was, I tried to remove my shirt, my belt, and a shoe all at the same time. At least the thick carpeting of her bedroom...

Rogue MagusChapter 22

Neither of us had recovered enough of our strength to fully walk properly. Of course, Chloe had more of a reason to have trouble walking than I did. So we made slow progress, taking our time so we wouldn’t tumble to the floor. We made it to the bathroom doors. She slapped the wall, turning off the lights, and I pulled the doors closed. The bed looked like it was miles away. “Do you know what your favorite position is?” Chloe asked out of the blue. I blinked in mild confusion and thought...

Rogue MagusChapter 23

Sunlight. Dawn. My bedroom was never this bright. What was going on? I cracked an eye open to look at the windows. My drapes were missing. There were more windows than there should have been. And they were angled funny, surrounding the bed. I opened both eyes and sat up. I wasn’t in my room. Then I remembered the night before: going to House Volantis, the VIP room, carrying the blonde back to her apartment, and finding Chloe. The rest came back in a flood. I was still at her place. I...

Rogue MagusChapter 24

I knew I would have plenty of space in Chloe’s bedroom to change clothes, though it was going to be a bit unnerving with all of those huge bay windows being completely open to her back yard. My only relief was that she had seen fit to have a privacy fence surround her back yard. Then I noticed the house behind hers. It was two stories, which made the fence moot. More than that, I was pretty sure someone was standing in one of the windows that could see into her bedroom. “Problem?” Chloe...

Rogue MagusChapter 26

The rest of the trip to the Dive was quiet. I didn’t have anything to say for the time, my thoughts filled with what I would do about my House and its members. Chloe seemed content with the silence. We pulled into the parking lot for the Dive. She pulled up beside the entrance and killed the engine. She looked over at me. “Well, it’s good to know violence doesn’t get your engines going,” she said. I frowned. “What do you mean?” She reached over and rubbed my thigh. “We have to get you...

Rogue MagusChapter 27

I sat down at the table across from Ella. My back was to the rest of the bar, but for the time being we were the only two in the building, so I didn’t care. Ella was my focus. For a moment we both sat there, not talking. It was different from every other time I sat down with a woman to talk. She usually had something to say. Now, however, I was being treated like I had done something wrong and I should damn well know what it was. Unfortunately, the only clue I had about that was that she...

Rogue MagusChapter 29

Lunch with Faith was fun. I didn’t even have to say anything, really. One question sent her off on a bewildering story of how everyone was so nice, and everything was so great. Then she started telling me about her co-workers. I didn’t pay close attention, only really listening out for key phrases that might cause problems for her. I did notice that though there were a few guys she mentioned, none of them apparently rated high enough on Faith’s chart to deserve more than a name and quick...

Rogue MagusChapter 31

The drive from my apartment to House Cerenkov was relatively short. My apartment was about a mile south of UTA whereas House Cerenkov was a compound located in a large open area of Arlington just Northwest of UTA. I tried to ask Chloe why she had been so reluctant to drive me out here, but she refused to answer my questions. We were going West on West Division street when she slowed down and turned right onto a long, lonely drive. In the distance I could see a collection of buildings. Some...

Rogue MagusChapter 33

Greta crawled onto the bed. She moved like a big cat on the prowl, all slow, graceful, fluid motion. Her eyes watched me and I really felt as if I were being hunted, only not as a meal. There was a certain forwardness to her that did more for me than anything else. She was toned, not muscular. She didn’t have the huge breasts that I seemed to both attract and felt attracted to, but that didn’t stop my reaction. Her eyes dropped. I was still wearing that silly costume for House Cerenkov, but...

Rogue MagusChapter 34

I awoke to the sounds of urgent discussions and then everyone stopped talking. “I think he’s awake,” someone said. I blinked open my eyes and looked around. Dana, Michael, Greta, Chloe, Ella, Katrina, and Cassandra were all gathered in my bedroom. Cassandra and Chloe looked at one another, throwing each other contemptuous glances. I rolled to my side and then sat up. I was still naked. It appeared that Greta woke up first, got dressed and then went and said something that turned into this...

Rogue MagusChapter 35

Fear. It is one of the most basic emotions. Every creature on earth feels fear, typically when their own life is at stake. My life wasn’t at stake. I wasn’t scared of dying, though that was in there. I was scared of failing. I was terrified that I might go to the school and still not understand that damned spell. I was scared to death of having to leave Jordan trapped for weeks or months more while I unraveled the mysteries Valory had woven. Emma’s kisses helped staunch my fears. Whatever...

Rogue MagusChapter 36

For the fourth time in the same day, I woke up from sleep induced by forging a bond. I wasn’t alone this time either, though the company wasn’t expected exactly. Linda leaned over me. “How are you feeling?” I blinked at her and stretched. “Rested.” She smiled. “I heard you’ve been busy.” I nodded. “Yes, but I’m also ready to end the Lockdown. I have everything I need, and everyone who is going to help is bound to me so they’re free to use their powers too.” “Everything in only two days?”...

Rogue MagusChapter 37

“How can you possibly know where the power is being stored?” Ella asked. “The missing women are acting as batteries for the power,” I said. I looked at Greta. “We had to know where Valory would be when I ended the Lockdown, well, the location is one and the same. I use the spell to track down Jordan, and we’ll not only know where Valory will show up, but I’ll be able to shut down the spell there.” Chloe frowned at me. “Are you sure the spell will recognize you as the caster?” I looked at...

Rogue MagusChapter 38

The adrenaline and fear incited by the Syndicate’s attack slowly faded as I drove. My shoulder ached and I felt like someone had used a cheese grater on my back. I checked my mirrors almost constantly. It didn’t look like anyone was following me. I wasn’t sure whether to be thankful about that or even more worried. Maybe, once I ended the Lockdown, this madness with the Syndicate would cool off for a while. I had to go a bit further north when I reached highway 360. Then I took Randol Mill...

Rogue MagusChapter 40

Darkness was the passageway between encounters. I lost count of how many I had been through since seeing Jordan. For the most part, walking through a doorway was how I traveled from one to another. This encounter however, I found myself standing outside on a hot summer night. I turned in a circle, taking in the details. I was near Brozos House and had two large suitcases with me. I knew what night this was. I knew what was about to happen. I also remembered that this wasn’t real, but an...

Rogue MagusChapter 41

Completing the rest of the gauntlet wasn’t as complicated as I had been worried about. So long as I went along with whatever the woman wanted, I was okay. At least, I never returned to the white space with Rho. Instead, after finishing the last encounter, I returned to the white space and found Valory there. Valory blinked as she looked around. So far as she knew, she had just completed the gauntlet successfully. As far as I knew, she had to wait for me a bit. I ended up enjoying a number of...

Rogue MagusChapter 42

I woke up in the hospital the next morning. Jordan was in one of those pull-out chairs that unfold into a very uncomfortable bed. She looked relieved. I felt it too. “Good mornin’, sleepy head,” she said with a soft smile. I nodded. “How are you feeling?” “Better than you look,” she said. I smiled. “That bad, huh?” “Well, you were unconscious when the feds arrived,” she said. “It took a bit of ... you-know-what to convince them to let you go to the hospital rather than arrest you.” A...

Rogues Story Part Four a Absorption

Rebecca thinks back to the first night with Travis. The relief she felt when she gave in, admitting out loud that she wanted him. The pleasure she felt when his fingers pushed deep inside her pussy. She had in the past heard woman talking about orgasms. She always thought that they had been exaggerating the feelings, to get one up on each other. She had never realised that her body could feel like that. Like a drug she knew she needed more. She is unable to get back to sleep after her dream....

Rogues Story Part Two Captivated

Rebecca stands on the raised platform in the ball room, wearing the electric blue silk dress her husband bought her as a gift from his last trip to India. The material clung to her small waist, and down over her curvaceous hips, it glided down her long legs to her ankle with a suggestive slit up to her thighs. Her long brown hair is pinned back exposing her neck, and her cheeks were flushed pink not just with the make-up she was wearing, but from the heat burning deep inside, that she had...

Rogues Story Part Five b Admission

On his return from dropping Rebecca at the helipad and after going on a little shopping trip, Travis is in his boxers sprawled out on the massive bed of the hotel room. He is eating his way through the box of Indian sweets, which he had found on the bed, left by the turn down service. He’s flicking through the TV channels trying to find something in a language he could understand, when there is a loud knock on the door.  He throws the foul tasting sweet back in the box. Switching the TV off,...

Rogues Story Part ThreeReflection

She stands at the kitchen sink, the bubbles from the washing up liquid covering her hands. She stares out of the window into the back garden but her eyes are glazed, locked into a different time and space, her hands working as if on autopilot but her mind unaware that she has been cleaning the same plate for the past ten minutes. She closes her eyes as the feeling of the lead weight in the pit of her stomach grows, the bile rising in her throat past the lump of tears that refuses to flow. Her...

Rogues Story Part Four b Absorption

In the distance she hears the telephone ring, but is too overwhelmed with the shock of Travis carrying her upside down up the stairs in his strong arms, that she dismisses it immediately. He kicks open the first door, it’s the bathroom. Before he destroys every door in the house, she breathlessly she cries “Down the hall on the right.” The blood continues to rush to her head. He flings open her bedroom door and roughly throws her on the bed, crashing on top of her. He savagely rips open the...

Rogues in Town

“I will have to ask Nurse Awarrak to pop in and give me a hand,” I told Mrs Beswick-Sampson. “You OK with that?” The formidable 74 year old lady from the manor on the pretty edge of the town, lying completely naked, face up, both feet in the highest possible gynaecology stirrup position on the examination table smiled weakly and nodded ... then asked. “She’s new to the surgery is she Doctor Moss?” I merely nodded as I ripped off my latex gloves, dumped them in the medical waste bin and...

I had been into the lifestyle with my ex but our play was limited to friends of mine I bring over to fuck her and another couple. The bar was getting more crowded as the night went on. All of the women were beautiful and clearly took care of themselves. I spotted a particular woman that caught my...

Revenge of the NerdChapter 79

I slept in late on Sunday. The less time I was awake, the less time I would have to worry. My bridesmaids gathered at my house by 11:00. I had ordered in staff to do hair, nails, makeup and whatever else might be necessary to make everybody look as good as they possibly could. I psyched myself up to project the impression that everything was just fine. I even persuaded myself to believe it until I received proof to the contrary. Beautification was accompanied by a brunch buffet. I rejected...

A Very Handy Handyman

Chapter 1 I married Stan for several reasons, he was dependable, he had a job with a good future, he loved me, he was honest, he knew how to make me have great orgasms, well, that’s pretty good, right? And, of course, I loved him dearly. He’s wonderful but one thing I now know is that he’s no handyman. He kids that he doesn’t know which end of the screwdriver to hold. He may be right. So, when we bought our condo, there were some things that needed repair and replacement, no real big things,...

Trina and the Biker Challenge

Trina sat on the crude framework of bent metal pipes, her hands bound overhead, her legs spread wide and lashed to the bars that comprised the seat of the fixture.  Her feet dangled above the ground so that she was only supported by the 4-inch pipes under her legs. She was naked and surrounded by a crowd of cheering bikers. Next to her, the blonde-haired companion of the rival biker gang’s leader was being fastened to an identical seat, wrists locked high over her head.  She had been forcibly...
