I didn't know why Angie insisted I dress up, but, by God, if she wanted me to dress up, I'd dress up for her. It was nearly 1:00 pm when I heard the doorbell. I opened the door, and there stood a beautiful woman, dressed to the nines, smiling brightly. I stared at her for a moment, and then it dawned on me.
"MOM?" I asked. "Hello Toby; it's been a couple of years, hasn't it?" I hugged her tightly, tears flowing down my face. "How did you find me?" I asked. She looked over me shoulder behind me, to where Angie was standing, crying softly. "Why don't you ask HER?" Mom asked. "Angie? You did this? You found my mom?" I asked. "Yes", she said. "I just did a little investigating, here and there, and found her. I called her, and asked if she would like to be reunited with you, and she said she'd been looking for you for years. So, I arranged this little meeting."
We sat, and I brought Mom up to date on the past nineteen years. "And this little imp", I said, grabbing Angie and pulling her to my lap, is my girlfriend, Angela McGuire." "Girlfriend? And just how old are you, dear?" Mom asked. "I'm sixteen, Ma'am", Angie told her. "More like sixteen going on twenty-four", I told Mom. I explained to Mom all about the past week, leaving nothing out. Mom asked, "And how is your father taking this?" "He approves wholeheartedly", I said.
The doorbell rang again, and I answered it. It was Dad. This was going to be good. Mom had her back to him, and didn't see who it was.
"Hi, son", he said. I just needed..." Mom turned around and was face to face with Dad for the first time since the divorce. "Hello, Tom", Mom said. "Helen?" Dad asked. "You're looking well, Tom", Mom said. "Hell, you're looking goooood, Helen", Dad said. They hugged a friendly hug. I looked at Angie and asked, "Did you arrange THIS, too?" "Nope", she said, "This happened on its own."
Mom asked Dad, "And you approve of our son dating an underage girl?" He replied, "If you saw they way she operated Thursday night, you'd understand she's a sixteen-year-old grown woman." They sat down together on the sofa and, before the afternoon was over, were holding hands.
MONDAY

I picked Angie up for school as usual on Monday morning, even though my duty at Richwood High was completed. What Angie didn't know was that this was also to be her last day at Richwood High. The danger, after this afternoon, would be too great to leave her there. We all gathered around Mr. Robinson's office to see who was on the hot seat this week. We didn't have to wait long. "Jane Michaels and Tim Johnson, please report to Mr. Robinson's office," came the PA announcement...
"How is Jane going to react, going nude with all of those scars?" Angie asked. "I understand she requested it", I said.
It felt odd, attending classes fully dressed. Angie and I continued to walk the halls holding hands, until lunch period. I told Angie to go eat with her friends, that I had some things to do. Right after lunch, on cue, students and staff, including all teachers, began filing into the auditorium. Dad, Barbara, and The DEA team arrived. Three pallets covered with a tarp were positioned on the stage, with a DEA agent positioned at each corner, armed with an AK-47. Precisely on cue, Mr. Robinson, still in the dark as to my true identity, introduced me. This large auditorium had a center-mounted camera, a hand-held camera, and three large-screen monitors, one in each corner and one centered directly above the stage.
"Good afternoon, students, faculty, and staff. My name is Toby Hinshaw; until now, you thought I was a sophomore here at Richwood High. In reality, I am twenty-four years old, and an agent for the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration. I was placed in Richwood High for the past few weeks to break up an organized drug ring. The DEA agents guarding the haul uncovered the pallets, and there was an audible gasp at the size of the haul. One student yelled out, "Man, that'd make one hell of a high!" To which I responded, "High, Hell; this stuff would kill you, you moron."
"Now, to the other problem in this school. The guardian of one female student on whom he was using a bullwhip was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon when he wrestled over a gun he pulled while trying to kill two agents. Thursday night, sixteen parents alleged to be involved in the sex and torture case were arrested and one killed during a coordinated raid on their residences and office. In each of the nine girls involved, they were in the process of either being tortured, whipped while nude, or raped. Those brave nine girls will now come out on stage, and show their injuries.
