I covered the twelve miles to the gravel pits in about ten minutes and pulled in under some trees, Sadie went about fifty yards away and Sharon another fifty yards away from her!

Katie's voice was like a whip, cutting across the still air in the quiet rural countryside.
Pete got out of his cab and reached into the back, "I think this is what you want boss, isn't it?"
"No he doesn't, but I do" said a voice from behind me,
"The two gentlemen with the weapons will lay them very carefully on the ground and move away from them"
It was a very cultured voice, almost aristocratic, but there was no mistaking the menace behind it.
Joe and I looked at each other and did as he asked.
