Danielle placed her hand on the center of my chest. The feel of her skin on mine calmed me more than anything. “I can’t explain what’s wrong with Jana, and I don’t believe she needs a hospital. I think she needs you.”
I stared back into Danielle’s eyes. “I’m worried though...”
“I know you are,” she said. “If you were anyone else, I’d be worried too, and I wouldn’t even hint at what I think needs to happen.” She stepped closer, pressing her body to mine. “You need to bring her in here and give her what you’ve been giving me.”
That really was both the problem and the solution. Jana shouldn’t have been interested in me, not sexually, but Danielle had put to words what I had only suspected.
