BOB POV:
Right now everybody is freaking out that our portal just up and disappeared. Greg is afraid, that because he threw a rock through it, he might have accidentally destroyed it!
“Greg, Buddy, I don’t think you did anything by throwing that rock, but hit me on the arm! Look, your watch says exactly five minutes. Maybe it just disappeared so we don’t accidentally wander into it?”
He took a deep breath, then sighed, looking all around, “You might be right. It might do that so animals don’t accidentally wander into it either. That makes sense. I’ll feel better though, when we see it reappear with our shed. I hope Ibera doesn’t forget!”
I huffed, “You’re not planning on just sitting here for the next three and a half hours, waiting, are you?”
He was looking around absentmindedly, deep in thought. Ed was grinning at me and Linda, but, was also checking out our surroundings. I could sense that he was chomping the bit, wanting to get moving, just like me. He was also amused at Greg’s absent-minded musings about our situation.
Greg was a profound thinker and felt responsible for us. Like we couldn’t take care of ourselves.
I decided to get him thinking about something simple, “Hey, where are those pictures we took and had laminated?”
“Um, oh yeah, I think they’re in Linda’s backpack.”
I looked in Linda’s pack and sure enough, there was a tube containing the 11”x17” photos we took while at Ibera’s. I pulled out the one showing an aerial view of the entire island and a dry-erase marker. “Okay, I say we go on a recon flight, to see where we might want to set up camp. I don’t think we want to be right here on the beach, do we, Greg?”
He finally started coming around, “No, we don’t know about the tides or anything, so, it might be good to find somewhere up higher, maybe near a stream or pond. I know the water is supposed to be good, but I brought a test kit, anyway, just to be sure.”
I noticed what looked to be a fairly large pond or lake about a mile from where we were, according to the photo-map. We needed to test our ‘scale’. So I reached into my backpack and pulled out my black helmet. I also had a spotter’s scope that had a range finder. I figured if we landed near that pond, I could get the distance across it then mark the map, giving us a reasonable idea just how big this island really was. Standing here on the beach, it looked much bigger than the island we sent Chen to. I wanted my night vision, so I could look for heat signatures so I could check where any animals might be. I could also get a rough size.
I didn’t want no damned grizzlies sneaking up on us!
I should tell you, this island is a lot like Fiji. It is somewhat mountainous in places, but has tropical vegetation and hills most everywhere else. The only flat area is on what appeared to be the north side of the island. I also plan on seeing if what we thought was north, would be the same as what the compass in my helmet showed.
Linda donned her regular daytime helmet, with the telescopes, direction and elevations showing in it. Ed put his on too.
Greg said his was in the storage shed. Aaargh!
I told him we’d fly slow and he could hold the map. He just looked at me and frowned.
Sometimes Greg was like the ‘Absent-minded Professor’. I think this whole experience was causing his brain to go into overload, even more than Ed’s!
Shortly after we took off, I chuckled, “Well, another question has been answered ... we have our powers!”
Linda chuckled, “Yeah, but did you notice the altimeters in our helmets said -50 just before we took off? Why do you think that is?”
Greg answered, “It has to do with the atmospheric pressure. It’s obviously different here than Earth, where our helmets always showed our altitude above sea-level. We’ll have to use our watch-altimeters, so we can set it to zero, properly. That’s a good observation, Linda, my sweet Forest Nymph!”
I flew up high, as I wanted to find the big pond that we wanted to check out. I found it and my compass heading was Azimuth 32˚ (NNE), however, according to our ‘map’, we should be going almost due East or AZ 88-92˚. I had Greg mark our map, so we could update our data, once we set up camp.
We decided this trip was going to mostly be about fact-finding and figuring out how to make this a fun place to visit and hopefully bring the rest of our Family someday.
We had a lot to do.
Ed wants to add his two-cents worth!
Ed Hopkin’s POV:
Okay, so I know my predecessors have done a credible job on this story. But, I feel I need to give you just a little background about my wife and I that you may not know.
I am a Sci-Fi geek. I have been ever since I listened to Orson Welles’, ‘War of the Worlds’ when it was re-broadcast when I was 8. Since then, I’ve watched every Sci-Fi movie and TV show ever made.
Some were great, some, not so much. I still had to watch ... and dream!
My first ‘favorite’ was ‘Star Trek’, but then, ‘Star Wars’ blew that away. I loved ‘Time Tunnel’ and H.G Wells’, ‘The Time Machine’ and ‘Time After Time’ about how Jack the Ripper used H.G. Wells’ Time machine to escape justice. And of course, ‘Back to the Future’, ‘Starman’, ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’, ‘ET’, ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’, ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’, ‘The Terminator’, ‘Alien’ (Which scared the bajeebers out of me!), and ‘The Philadelphia Experiment’.
I know I’m forgetting a bunch, but, you get the idea.
Oh yeah, also, ‘The Adventures of Superman, the TV series, with George Reeves and the later movies, with George’s Son, Christopher, as Superman. I mention these because of my good friend, Charlie.
I won’t go into how I met Charlie, as you already know, but I do need to tell you how I ran into Gracie, the love of my life!
I’d been working as the stock boy for a little shop, ‘Pop’s Hobby and Tobacco Shop’, that sold comic books, baseball cards, model car kits, custom mixed pipe tobacco, pipes and all that kind of thing. It was located in a strip mall that had a local grocery store as it’s anchor on one end and a family restaurant, called ‘The Manor’, on the far end. It also had a small beauty parlor/nail salon, two doors down from my shop.
I’d been working there since I started my Sophomore year in High School. I had to get a job so I could ‘support’ my 16th birthday present. My dad bought me a brand new Honda 450 street bike! He said he got it for me since my favorite transportation, since I was 6-years old, was my bicycle. I’d managed to ride my various bikes without crashing or getting into trouble for 10 years, so he figured this new Honda was the natural progression for me. It was cheaper than a car and less maintenance was required to keep it on the road.
I was stunned and ecstatic! I was always the ‘little geek’ and now my new Honda put me in near rock star status. The few kids at school who had bikes, mostly had Junkers that were cobbled together and were less than reliable. My Honda was very reliable and I could ride it all day without worry. I had to take two different tests to get my Driver’s License, but, had no trouble passing either one. It sucked that I couldn’t ride in the snow, but with my snowmobile suit, the cold I could deal with.
My parents, (Dad especially) were cool and I could borrow my mom’s car in the really bad weather, since she didn’t like to drive, anyway.
So, over the summer between Sophomore and Junior year in High School I was working full time at Pop’s Shop. I also picked up a part-time job doing janitor like duties for the Hair and Nail salon.
That was owned by a nice lady named Helen. She was a frequent visitor to the shop buying things for her nieces and nephews. Shortly after school ended, she asked if I wanted to make some extra money by mopping and waxing her floors and cleaning the sinks and mirrors and windows for a couple hours before they opened each day. Like Pops, she opened at 9:00am. She offered to pay cash and it was at an even better rate than Pops paid me. So, it was a no-brainer.
The more money I made over the summer the better.
It also led to meeting my Gracie!
Gracie was her niece, who was 15 and wanted to be a beautician someday. Helen was taking her on as her apprentice for the summer. Gracie was even shorter than me and the first day she came in with Helen I about tripped over my tongue. She was so pretty and she giggled and blushed when Helen introduced us.
“Ed, this is Grace, my niece. Grace, Ed here is one of the most honest and industrious young men I know.”
If Helen knew the lust I had the second her sweet niece grinned at me, her statement might have been different. I wanted to stay there and talk some more, but, I had to run down two doors and get to my real job. As I left, I saw Grace waving goodbye to me through the window.
All morning all I could do was think about her.
At lunch, I took my bagged lunch and thermos of iced tea out back, where Pops had a picnic table set up with an umbrella. As I ate my lunch, I kept looking at the back door to the salon longing for Gracie to come out.
She didn’t. I was forlorn. I’d hoped to maybe get her to join me.
I was just getting ready to go back in when I heard a couple giggles. I looked and Helen and Gracie had come around the back way from the Manor. Helen said, “See Grace dear, I told you this is probably where Ed was! He brings his lunch, so he doesn’t waste money eating at the restaurant. He’s a very smart young man!”
I was blushing like crazy and looked at Gracie, apologetically, “I need to save my money so I can keep my bike up. Dad makes me pay for my own gas, license and insurance.”
Gracie giggled, “You have to put gas in your bicycle?” She asked, pointing at someone’s bike parked by the building.
I laughed, “Oh, not that bike! I have my motorcycle parked next to the gas station across from the Manor. Dad knows the owner and he lets me park there so I don’t take up a space in the parking lot.
Gracie’s eyes lit up and she squealed, “That Honda is yours!? Wow! I saw it when we walked to the restaurant. That looks like brand new!”
Helen was still giggling as she left Gracie and me and headed toward the back door to the salon. Just before she went in, she hollered, “Don’t make Ed late for work, dear. Maybe you can talk more after work?”
Gracie looked distressed, but, I patted her shoulder, while hollering back at Helen, “Don’t worry Mrs Helfrich, I still have a few minutes.”
Helen just winked as she stepped inside.
Gracie was bouncing on her toes, “Ed ... um ... could you maybe give me a ride home? You know, after work? Pleaaase?”
I don’t know what possessed me but I hugged her, “Sure! As long as you know I don’t have a helmet. I don’t wear one and I also don’t have one for you. Sorry.”
She giggled and hugged me tighter, “If you were wearing one but I wasn’t, then I might be nervous. But, since you don’t have one either, I figure you must be a safe driver.”
“I try. I’ve been riding for a while now and DO try to be careful. I’m allergic to road rash!”
She was giggling as she started pulling away. “Me too! Thanks, Ed, I can’t wait to get done today ... please don’t leave without me?”
I was chuckling, “Oh, you don’t have to worry about THAT. I’ll be looking forward to it, too!”
She then quickly turned and ran down to the salon. She DID stop to wave at me and blow me a kiss, just before she ran in the door.
That afternoon was the longest, slowest shift I ever worked!
I restocked every shelf, cleaned every display case and every time I looked at the clock, it’s like the darn thing wasn’t moving! I even swept the floor and asked if I could help with the tobacco.
Pops was laughing, “Jeez Ed, you MUST be in love or something! You usually work hard, but, you’ve got this place shining!”
I could feel my ears getting warm and it felt like 100 degrees in there. “I just wanna earn my keep, Pops.”
Pops smirked, “Ed, I have an idea, since we’re slow today, why don’t you go down to Helen’s place and get a haircut? You’re look-in’ a mite scruffy.”
I almost felt a conspiracy. I knew for sure when Pops added, “Maybe Helen’s new helper will give you a shampoo? Helen charges the same as Bill’s Barber shop, and her shampoo is nice and included with all men’s haircuts! I told her I’d steer some customers her way. She’s only been doing men’s hair for a few weeks.”
On the one hand, I wanted to run down there. On the other hand, I was embarrassed to death going into a Beauty Parlor.
I felt like a perv.
So, just like a perv, I slinked on down to Helen’s. I never remembered there was a paint store next to Pops’ place ... and sooo many colors! Yeah, one step forward and two steps back. Finally, I figured if they were busy, I could just say hi and get the heck out of there.
When I walked in you could hear a pin drop.
Helen’s was as dead as we were this afternoon! Shit!
“Well hello, Ed! What brings you in here?” Helen was waving me in and grinning at me.
“Ummm, Pops said I needed a haircut. He said you were doing guys’ hair now too. Is that true?” I was blushing like crazy and kept looking at the floor.
Helen giggled, then hollered, “Grace, dear, I’ve got a shampoo out here for you to do!” I looked around and Gracie was nowhere to be seen.
When Gracie came around the corner from the back room and saw me, I don’t know who’s eyes were bigger, mine or hers. Her ‘O’ expression turned to a smile, when she realized I was the only one in here.
Then she nearly ran over to me. “Hi Ed! Are you going to be my first solo shampoo?”
She looked at her Aunt.
Helen was just grinning and nodding ... and led me over to a low-backed chair with a goofy looking sink behind it.
I climbed in and Gracie tied a big plastic bib around my neck. I was shocked when the chair reclined and I noticed my neck was now in the cutout on the sink. I was staring up into the most beautiful sky-blue eyes in the world!
And, they were smiling at me.
I heard the water come on and Gracie was moving around, getting everything she needed situated. I felt her using a sprayer as a warm flow of water was wetting my hair. I think she was just being careful, but it took a long time for her to turn it off and put some shampoo in my hair. She giggled softly, “Aunt Helen said to make sure I’m thorough. Let me know if I’m taking too long, okay?”
“As long as I get home before dark, as far as I’m concerned, you’re not taking too long!”
She lightly slapped my arm, “It doesn’t get dark till 9:00pm, you goof ... we close at 5!”
“Then proceed, I guess.”
I noticed she was leaning over me and my upper arm was nestled between her perfect breasts.
Trying NOT to get wrapped up in wishing that my upper arm could grow fingers, I tried to figure out her bra size.
Gracie had really big breasts for such a short, petite girl. I was thinking C-Cups, but, I’d read something about cup sizes being purely about volume.
Charlie POV: Having just renewed our bond with our neighbors, I had to figure a way to send them away without making it seem rude. There simply wasn’t time for a long drawn out explanation. The situation was very complex and even OUR girls and Bob were mostly in the dark about most of it. I flashed Mary my concerns and assurances of ‘full disclosure’, but that time was of the essence and our neighbors at this point didn’t have ‘a need to know’. Our neighbors had already figured out...
Bob POV: (Still) Ibera was hugging me. I was still trying to figure out just what she meant by, ‘I’d caused a paradox’. And just what did she mean that I wasn’t fucked if she and Zeus could help it? I looked in her eyes, “Is there some way I can make this right?” “Possibly ... but first ... we need to figure out which reality you need to be in to do it. The big problem is that there are certain ‘Rules’ that neither Zeus nor I can violate. One of them is that we CAN’T tell you what to do...
We’d conferred, mentally, and chose to enter right at the entrance to the 5th Dimension. It’s where all of the portals were. This was where we landed the first time we ‘Spirit Walked’. We felt this would make our friends aware that we weren’t in Kansas anymore! It had the desired effect. Our friends were awestruck. Gracie was the first to ask, “Where are we? What’s with all of these TV’s?” Ed was like a kid in the big city for the first time, he was wide-eyed and looking all around. I...
Luckily, with the rush hour traffic, our four suspects couldn’t drive very fast, so flying without our helmets wasn’t too big a deal. We reported to Brock and TJ that they were driving a 1984 Buick Grand National. We gave them the Wisconsin license plate number, which TJ was going to run immediately. We were soon told that the car HADN’T been reported stolen and was registered to one Kurt Alsip, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They were headed west on IL SR 64. Just past Sycamore Speedway, they...
Charlie’s POV: (Cont.) With Rex, Jeremy and Willie all being called away to Chicago, and CJ seemingly trying to ‘help Willie’, I told the Family I needed to pay a quick visit to Zeus. I needed to see just how much and exactly what kind of ‘help’ Zeus had actually given my son. Since I’d only be gone from here for a few minutes, Mary was going to just tell everyone that I was going to my cabin for a bit. Bill, Sally, Emmy and their kids would be arriving shortly, so they needed to set...
Screwed if you Don’t Mid-August, 1985 He grinned, “Nice to finally meet you Charlie! I’ve heard SOOO much about you and your family.” “Are you ready for our showdown tomorrow, boy?...” “Just remember, ‘old man’, no dirty tricks. Have you done what I asked?” He looked at me warily, “I told you, I don’t have anyone under my control right now.” I looked over at Dad and he winked. I took that as a sign he was still okay. I did want to check something however, so I shook hands with Johnny....
[He was the one doing most of the peeking.] Dad asked Greg to employ his ‘bubble’ and he began. “Okay, first off, I AM NOT going to try and impersonate Charlie. I WOULD like Gracie and Ed to be an integral part of the plan however. Johnny is definitely panicking and left 10 messages on Joshua’s answering machine to contact him ASAP. “I’m pretty sure after talking to Johnny this afternoon that he really thinks I’m Jonah. He asked me point blank if I knew anyone named Charlie. I told him I...
[My son is going to kick your ass tonight by showing everyone HIS abilities are much better than YOURS.” “OH YEAH?” Sherman roared, “We’ll just SEE about that!”] “Yes WE will, Sherm. It just occurred to me, that I’m getting the short end of our bet. Let’s sweeten the pot, shall we? I’ll match whatever money you’ve got left that Butch gave you! I’m guessing that’s close to a million dollars or more. Are you willing to put that up?” He was speechless, “How did ... No way, what makes you...
Where There’s a Will There’s a Way! July, 1985 [I thought Greg was going to shit a brick when he saw me stuffing my face in epicurean ecstasy! “Un-freaking-believable! Charlie, you’re INCORRIGIBLE!”] It only got worse, when Mike saw it and said, “Wow, that looks delicious! CJ, you the MAN. Can I get one of those?” Greg just rolled his eyes, “Ughhh. If ya can’t beat ‘em, may as well join him.” And he got one too. Our entire family group from last night sat down together for...
US MARSHALLS SERVICE SECRET DETENTION AREA, NW OF WASHINGTON D.C. Jeremy POV: We managed to get all the prisoners separated and into cells. We then decided to let them stew for a little while before Pops flashed that he wanted to bring in Franklin. He was planning on teleporting Franklin in so he wouldn’t know where he was being taken. He had Rex go into an empty cell and turn invisible, standing in the center of the cell. He was planning to pop in right behind him then both of them would...
Charlie POV: When we arrived back at home, we were totally disoriented as far as what time of day it was. When the whole episode with the assassins started it was around 4:00 pm on Friday. Looking outside, it was twilight and all the workers were gone from the back yard. It was very quiet. All of the babies were hungry and needed changing. We all pitched in taking care of the kids, even Sheila and Joni. Rex and Jeremy took orders for carryout chicken and took off to get dinner. The kiddos...
A CHAEMARIAN SPACESHIP NEAR GROMORIKIAN SPACE Charlie POV: “So Lars, how... exactly ... are we going to intercept our evil Gromorik space kidnappers?” I asked, “Ibera told me the story about how you ‘telekinetically’ or ‘psychokinetically’ pulled a Gromorik and a Greyzarian mothership towards a planet to stop some kind of a skirmish?” His eyes lit up in laughter, “WOW, I’d forgotten about that! Well, to be honest, I may have told a bit of a ‘fable’, embellishing what I actually did.” I...
We spent nearly 20 hours at Ibera’s. My old friend is now completely up to speed on how our Family became what it is and how we all developed our powers. First, how we developed them early on, then all the way to reacquiring them after CJ was born, then, to all the current iterations. He stopped us many times to relate how he’d been required to investigate different missions we’d been on. The CIA had been much more interested than I’d thought. Bill also made it clear that TJ and even Jim...
Charlie POV: When we left Bill and Bruce we decided to just pop to my house to talk since there wouldn’t be anyone there. Mary, Sarah and Jamie went back to the boat to be with the kids while Joni and Sheila came with us to be with Rex and Jeremy. TJ was going into more detail about what was going on at CIA headquarters. Most everything was about what we’d already gone over with Bill and Bruce. TJ said, “I don’t know if you’re aware, but Franklin is just the interim Executive Director. He...
[“Do you trust him to keep our secret?” “I’d like to think so, ... but,... “] Joshua took a deep breath before looking each of us in the eye. “Let me ask each of you a question. I want you to think about it carefully. Your answer will be my answer as to whether or not I breathe a word of this to my friend Johnny. “Would any or all of you be willing to dedicate one year to a project that my friend Johnny and I might want to restart? And what if I could virtually guarantee that each of you...
[“I laid low, just raising you kids after that until TJ called me in late 1972.”] “What happened then?” Bob asked. “We put together a plan of how Jim and TJ could use my abilities without putting any of us in danger!” Dad smiled brilliantly. “So, you’re not trying to talk us out of our plan with Tom? It sure sounded like you were trying to scare us out of the idea.” I exclaimed. “Scare you? Yes, and no. Enlighten you? Definitely.” “So what’s the plan?” Bob asked excitedly. “Hold your...
Charlie POV: The talk and subsequent agreement for us to help ‘sexually educate’ Matt and Ralph’s kids led to many discussions. The idea of teaching such nubile, young cuties about loving and sex while arousing on one hand, left us also questioning whether we could be sure just how it would affect them. We DID decide that before we indulged their desires, they were going to get a discussion to let them talk through the possible complications. Those ideas led to the adults of both families...
"You said the carpeting and window treatments are included in the purchase price?" Patricia asked. "Exactly. You can change those after you move in, with the Homeowner's Association approval," Bob answered, "but, essentially, the interior of each home can be decorated according to individual tastes." Bob didn't like to dwell on Association rules, they brought death to a sale. "The builder will let you select options. If you'll look through your folder, you'll see several attractive...
For convenience and reader ease, all conversations are translated in English. Ciwalen, Jawa, Indonesia "Hey Cary, wait up!" Hearing my best friend Fariz's voice I halted in my stride, so he could catch up and we could go together to school, which was still at least another kilometer away. As he caught up with me he said: "Did you hear about Rino?" Rino was another friend of us; he caught MORFS a week earlier. I shook my head, "No what happened?" "He was taken away by some...
We’d just given our new friends a glimmer of hope ... I just hoped we could pull it off without getting any of us killed. We needed to take Matt with us which was part of the problem. Somehow we needed to get the pirates away from the dock area long enough for Matt to get away. I asked Rex to come up with a plan. He smiled, then had Bob ‘call up’ the visual of the island, in current time. “Okay”, he smirked at Bob, “Thanks to Bob, what I first was certain was too much gear, turns out to be...
“What’s wrong? What’s wrong?”Anthea looked up at her mum as she sat down at the dining table. “Nothing is wrong,” Anthea responded watching as her mum hurriedly dried her hands with a tea towel.“Is the baby okay? Are you okay? Is Jack okay?” she asked as her husband came into the room and pulled up a seat at the table.“We’re all fine Mum,” she responded exasperated with her mum’s anxiety. “I have something to tell you.”“Sit down Helen,” her dad snapped. “Give the lass a chance to speak.”Anthea...
Uther By Ellie Dauber (c) 2006 Introduction According to the legends of King Arthur, Merlin changed Uther Pendragon into a double for Duke Gorlois, so he could spend the night with Ygraine, the Duke's wife. Ygraine and Gorlois had three daughters: Elaine, Morgause, and Morgan le Faye. During their time together, Ygraine became pregnant with the child who was to become King Arthur. Uther's men killed Gorlois that same night. This is my TG (of course) version of what...
The the wind howled around the quayside as I stepped onto terra firma for the first time in weeks, the wind threw sharp shards of ice to sting our faces as we looked up at the sails as they were finally furled and stowed as our captain grinned at our discomfiture, "Au revoir!" he joked as if he knew we should soon be recalled. Those such as were left, and we were few enough, I shuddered. My best uniform packed securely in my Valise, awaited me, and just a few more duties before I...
Sasha Fedoseev pulled out his driveway and started down the road. Sasha was by most accounts a successful man. He had started a corporation in his early 20's and had guided its ascent. His company now had three subsidiary corporations. He employed over five hundred employees through his subsidiaries and the parent corporation he had founded 10 years earlier. The parent corporation had its offices in a building several miles from Sasha's home. It was there that his staff worked. He had...
Section Chief Rodgers POV: Dammit! What the hell just happened? That fucking Chen has put me into one hell of a trick bag. I had everything set up perfectly to slide into the Black-Ops Executive Directors job and that fucking Chen comes along. I don’t know how that weasel managed to get my spot, but he did and I’ve been sucking hind titty ever since. How the hell am I going to explain to the Director that Executive Director Chen just up and disappeared? Like he’s gonna believe ‘Jonah’ did...
[“I’ll have a long heart to heart talk with her, Linda. Maybe it’s good she’ll be here for a few extra days. Let’s get home and look at these pictures!”] We greeted the family when we returned home, then Linda and I promptly went to my office to start laying out pictures. I pulled out my pad of 18”x 30” lightly gridded graph paper and tore off a sheet for each of us. We each had a legal pad and began writing down all of the things Stan had ‘dreamed’ to us, that he wanted in his house. The...
[Could this night get any stranger?] Thankfully it didn’t, at least not right away. When our ‘gang’ re-entered the campgrounds, the campers that sat gathered around the bonfire seemed oblivious that anything out of the ordinary had happened earlier that night. But, after parking our bikes, as they watched all of our group excitedly sprinting over to the campfire they must have suspected something was up. They were all but dragging a giggling Sarah with them. Since everyone began hollering...
Why Does the Feces Always Collide with the Circular Air Mover? July, 1985 [“Charlie, Charlie, God, I hope you can hear me, this is Dad. Stan thought the Coast Guard was pulling us over for a routine check but it’s a bunch of pirates! You gotta help us!”] “Dad, I hear you, where are you?” “I’m not sure, we flew into Lynden Pindling International Airport in the Bahamas and took a limo to a port on the south side of the island. Stan had his hydrofoil there and we were going to his island to...
... Let the Good Times Roll! July, 1985 [A loud cheer went up from everyone in the room. I looked back at Adam and Lori, “DEAL.” Adam gave the order, “Crew, prepare to dock and disembark onto the island. It’s time to Paaaah-Tay!”] The Captain announced, just after we docked, “Don’t forget, the dress code here is ‘Au naturale’ All you need is sandals or deck shoes. No clothes allowed! Plush terri-cloth robes will be available if you get chilly. The temperature rarely dips below...
FUBAR’D? (Fully United by Always Repairing Disasters?) July, 1985 [“Oh my God, I think we’ve run aground!” Melody exclaimed.] Bob, Greg and I were looking at each other wondering what we could do. I heard the hydraulics of the boat launch being lowered and the three of us rushed down to talk to Captain Morgan. The deck was lowered but was at a weird angle because part of it was caught on the sandbar. Brian and his son were running around grabbing scuba gear, while Captain Morgan and Mike...
We spent the rest of the day frantically packing the things we would need for our trip. We grabbed the two backpacks that Greg and Linda had purchased last summer for their little camping excursion. One of the things we would need to find on the way was some climbing gear. Greg reminded us that the place where we shopped in Albuquerque also sold climbing gear and had a fake mountainside so people could practice. We helped Ed take his Sportster out of the trailer, where he had been storing...
[I’ve got a blindfold on and I think I’m on a boat somewhere. Can you hear me?...”] “Yes Sarah! I hear you. Are you alright?” “Yes, I’m scared! What do they want with me?” “I don’t know, sweetie, Dad is on the phone with the State Police. You remember Major Gregory, right?” “Yes. Is he going to help me?” “If he can, if not, he knows who CAN help. Listen, Sarah, I’m two hours from home, but we’re headed there as fast as we can. YOU’VE gotta stay calm, okay? Try and get them to take your...
[Greg stopped and paused. He turned around with a face full of tears, “Charlie and I were just trying to be nice...”] He sniffled, “I’m gonna be late...” He turned and slowly walked out the front door, closing it gently behind him. Everyone started looking at me, not knowing what to say. I held up my hand, firmly. “I’ve gotta talk to my friend.” Then quickly ran out and jumped in the passenger seat of his truck. He started the engine, “What are you doing, Amigo?” “I dunno, but I’m NOT...
Intermission, Prelude and Fugue July 4, 1985 [TJ smirked, “Well, Hells Bells, looks like Janet and I are gonna have to put in for a permanent transfer to the Chicago office! God knows the scenery is NOTHING like this in Pittsburgh!” Mary was smiling at us gleefully as we smiled back.] Dad asked what time it was. I said it was almost 3:30pm. He told us that the parents were all going to Lino’s Italian eatery in Rockford for dinner. It was right on State St., not far from Sinnissippi Park....
[Since Greg and I had slept in, we weren’t even tired ... yet.] We opted to take the Florida Turnpike, because, even though it was a toll road, it wasn’t like the asinine tollways in Illinois, where you have to stop every 10 miles and throw money into a tollbooth. This had the tickets, like Indiana and Ohio, where you pay when you get off. It also had fuel plazas so you didn’t have to get off to buy gas. It’s the most direct way to go and we didn’t have to go through any of the big cities....
Charlie POV: I was happy with the way the Directors were handling our encounter with the Russians. They never had any intentions of just destroying both submarines and possibly killing their crews. Also, Director Logan does desperately want to change the culture of the CIA from the way I viewed it after Dad told us about his experiences with it when we were just little kids. Neither Bob nor I remember anything before living here in Illinois. Our operation, ‘Let’s Goose Gorbachev’, went...
[“Possibly. The Mobs lawyers already know way too much about what happened. We’ve got to clean up the WHOLE ‘pig sty’ first thing tomorrow, before it’s too late. Here’s the plan... “] Blake started, “I’ve got TJ, Janet and 3 of your new friends from the Jacksonville FBI office flying in later tonight. Everyone in on the bust of the Omaha FBI headquarters are meeting in a church parking lot a couple miles from the headquarters building, which is in downtown Omaha. I’m going to make sure...
[Like who was going to sleep with whom tonight.] That discussion was fast, furious and fun. With 9 people, 5-women, 4-guys and 3 beds it was going to be interesting. Since Sarah, Linda and Jamie would only allow one particular cock in their pussies AND demanded ALL of their guy’s deposits, they assigned themselves to whatever bed their guys were in. TJ, Janet and Mary decided to play ‘musical beds’ then planned to ‘sleep’ together. Greg and I slept with Jamie and Sarah, who both insisted on...
All Good Things Come to an End. July, 1985 [By now we were all laughing. I wondered if I should get Emmy to join them. Nahh, poor Ray would probably have a coronary!] We were summoned to the bar/swing room for the initiation ceremony. Melody, Roberto and Adam (Captain Morgan) were in the DJ booth. Jessica, Tammy, Bobbi and Brandy were being fastened into special swings that looked different from the ones we used the other night. Underneath them were hydraulic benches that seemed much more...
Charlie POV: On Thursday, Bob, Linda and I went out to our new place to do a quick, preliminary layout of the 300’ x 400’ footprint of our new place. We needed to see where we might put the new RV trailers that were to be delivered on Saturday morning. We didn’t want them to be in the way of the construction crews. The first thing we saw was that if we centered the new place perfectly on the flat area within the copse of palm trees, the existing house was going to be mostly inside the...
[ Mary and Sarah found out my lips weren’t too sore to kiss them passionately, before the three of us fell fast asleep.] *** Mary and Sarah were the first ones up. As I cracked my eyes open, I saw them padding towards the kitchen. Two minutes later they were back, pulling my ass out of bed telling me the ‘days a wastin’. “What the heck time is it?” Mary replied, “It’s 6 o’clock, come on, we’re getting married today!” As much as I wanted to frown, all I could do was chuckle and pull them...
As I was fixing bacon, eggs and toast for everyone, things began settling down. The conversation centered around how much our lives were about to change with a little one on the way. While eating, we all retreated into our own thoughts. When we had finished eating, I suddenly felt a deep need to make love to Mary. I managed to catch Greg’s eye, and nodding, I gestured my intentions with my eyes. He understood immediately. I got up, and took Mary by the hand and led her to our bedroom. As we...
Half the Fun is Getting Started July 21-22, 1985 [We all fell asleep in what could best be described as a puppy pile!] *** We woke up to a grinning Jessica and Tammy. Tammy, having just noticed we were all nekkid, blushed profusely. She was looking anywhere and everywhere but at us. “Oh my gosh. Jessica didn’t know you’d all be in here. We were planning on surprising you by getting things cleaned up. I’m sooo embarrassed.” Greg stood up with his morning glory pointing the way. “Sorry to...
[I grinned, “Looks like I get a four sweetie treat tonight! Who wants on top?”] Jamie smirked, “If we take a shower and put in a fresh plug, would you pleasure our clitties with your tongue, while Mary rides you?” “Mmm. I’d love to. If you’re not flowing real heavy, you can wait till after I’m done to insert your Tampons.” Sarah giggled, “Yep, he’s our Hero all right! A braver man I’VE never seen.” Linda laughed, “He’s liable to look like Dracula when he’s done though.” I may have gone...
Charlie POV: When we returned things began happening quickly. Bob and I popped to Dad’s cabin and found our two pallets of cash just like we left them. We ‘relocated’ them to Dad’s garage before contemplating whether to bring the three girls’ bikes and our two ATVs. We decided to leave them in the cabin’s garage for now, so as not to unnecessarily clutter Dad’s. On Monday, Ed, Bill, Gracie, Rex and Jeremy all helped go through the rest of their condemned houses, recovering much more than...
[“I think I just killed a guy!... “] We were all stunned! “Where are you? What happened???” “I’m at the convenient store, just north of Route 38 on Randall, there was a robbery, I was just trying to stop them from escaping! I think I killed one of them!...” “We’re on our way. Don’t say ANYTHING to ANYBODY until we get there!” “I won’t, please hurry!” We jumped in the Chevy and were flaming up Randall as fast as our ‘Queen Mary’ would go. It only took a couple minutes and there were...
Greg was pleased that the new trailer was pulling so well. His new truck had a very powerful diesel engine instead of the big gas engine his other truck had. He felt the dual rear wheels also made it much more stable than a standard four wheeled truck would have. Jaimie giggled, “It’s more manly looking too!” Greg just grinned, “Yep, a real ‘Cowboy Cadillac’!” Since we were told of a massive amount of road construction in St Louis, we opted to go the northern route which would take us west...
[We were just going in the house when Sarah flashed, “Charlie, I’m at the hospital! I think we may have a very serious problem...”] “Are you okay” “Yes, I’m fine, but you better circle the wagons! There’s this Native American doctor who is certain that you and/or Linda have ancient healing powers. AND he and his colleagues know you are friends of Greg Sanders!” “How do they know our names? Linda and I never...” Aw SHIT. We’d told the two victims we were friends of Greg’s. “Charlie, they...
We Interrupt this Vacation... July, 1985 [There was a hastily written note pinned to Greg’s shirt that read: “They’ll wake up in a few weeks. Thank Greg for me for teaching me all about you guys! I’ll have to see that Joshua guy to see what else I can learn! HAhahaha!”] I put my face right up to Greg’s and his pupils were like two piss-holes in the snow. I tried pushing him, as forcefully as I could, to open his mind to me ... NOTHING. Not even a blink and certainly no mental response. I...
[When I shook Brock’s hand it suddenly became clear. This was Sherman Leeman’s brother! Butch and Benjamin’s uncle.] I knew I had to tread cautiously, even though it didn’t appear that Brock’s powers were very strong at all. Instead of trying to hang onto his hand, I let go politely. I took a chance and flashed Mary asking her to stay in my head. It wasn’t necessary. She’d already picked up that vibe. I did keep my eyes locked on Brock, however. During my two second communication with...
Charlie POV: We met up for lunch at the restaurant in the yacht club. Everyone was there with the exception of Sarah and Willie, or Bill as I was planning on calling him. I had the feeling calling him ‘Willie’ made him uneasy. The kids seemed antsy from being cooped up in the hotel all night and this morning. When Annette suggested they go to the beach that seemed to brighten their spirits. The fact that they needed swimsuits did mute that somewhat. We discovered that there are no nude...
Bob POV: (Continued) I had to laugh when I saw the shrink-wrapped pallet sitting where our little table had been. Somebody had covered it with a large tarp to keep it as inconspicuous as possible. We’d only been here for a couple minutes when Linda, Mary, Jamie, Sarah, Joni and Sheila padded around the corner and enveloped us in hugs and passionate kisses. They were all beautiful and nekkid! And like any red-blooded males would do, we were all gawking and grinning ... and getting raging...
AN ALIEN SPACESHIP NEAR GREG’S ISLAND Bob POV: WHAT THE FUCK? One minute we’re all sitting around having a relaxing evening with our little friends, then suddenly, Mary, CJ and I are in some kind of a room in god-only-knows where! To make matters worse, it seems our telepathy and psychic powers have been nullified or taken away. Whoever our captors are they’re really pissing me off! Oh yeah, AND scaring us shitless. I’ve never felt more helpless in my whole life. I remember Ibera telling...
Dad and TJ began barking out orders like the commanders of the D-day Invasion, with nearly that amount of urgency. Dad started, “Guys, put on your black flight suits and your night vision helmets, you’re going to need them. You guys also need to assume different identities and/or remain invisible until this whole thing is over. I’m not sure how invisibility will work trying to use your helmets. Bob, you and Greg need to ‘pop’ to the boat and hopefully take TJ and me with you.” They told Dad...
[I stayed on my knees, grabbed a flashlight and peeked between the sheets of canvas. WHAT THE Fu__! ] Greg reacted even faster than me. “Holy shit! That’s more drugs than I could ever imagine!” We were looking at row after row of steel shelves, 10’ high and 100’ long, all packed with huge plastic wrapped bags that looked to contain heroin, cocaine, marijuana, pills, weapons, ammo and even explosives. Huge vertical refrigerators and ... four dead bodies! All of them appeared to be young...
[I’ll see you tomorrow morning Charlie, take care.” “Till then my love!”] I was excited for Carl and Anita. Melody had taken care of everything even their rig. She sounded as eager to see me as she was to see them. Now to figure out how to let Carl and Anita know that I’d already spoken to Melody, when the two of them were sleeping right here on the bed next to Mary and me! Coffee ... the answer lies in its simple inviting pleasure. After my morning ablutions, I brewed a pot and took a...
[I said, “I hope the girls can still play in their concert on Thursday. They’ll be very disappointed if they can’t.” “That WOULD be a tragedy...” Linda murmured, knowingly.] We all went home, getting to bed around 1:00 AM. I wished I could have fallen asleep quickly, but I was so consumed by the day’s events, it wasn’t to be. Even Mary’s tender cuddling did little to quiet my mind. I almost wished I hadn’t hugged Gracie last night when we got home. I had a vision of the future, today, that...
Having Fun While Lending a Hand July, 1985 [Giggle. “It’s not THAT GOOD ... either! Hee-hee.”] It was nearly impossible not to laugh at my ‘chat’ with Mary, so I resumed focusing my attention on Melody. “GOD Charlie, you came a TON. I’m going to be leaking ALL DAY.” “Do you need a cleanup on aisle one, Melody?” I chuckled. “Sure! We’ve got towels in the ... oh GOD.” I surprised her when I dove between her legs and got under way, enthusiastically slurping our combined juices. I heard...
