"Once that lock melts, go down the hallway until the end, take a right and you're home free." Klutch's voice soothes the team through their ear piece.
As Hi-Fi carefully places some type of sticky putty on the keypad lock of the door, her partner is crouched down next to her, swaying his body back and forth as he looks to his left and then back to his right, pivoting his m4 silenced carbine side to side, making sure the coast is still clear.
"Should only take thirty seconds or so for that plaster to melt through the keypad and fry the locks, allowing the doors to open." Katalyst informs the two.
"This better work..." Hi-Fi's soft voice grumbles out before she turns around and goes back to back with Stack, each of them watching down a hallway as the putty does it work on the keypad.
"Two guards inc, Stack side." Klutch's voice comes through the earpiece.
At the same time, Hi-Fi spins around, both her and Stack looking down the hallway as both guards step into the line of sight of the two waiting infiltrators. With barely there sounds besides a very soft thump, two bullets, one from each of their guns were unloaded, each one taking out one guard before they could even process what was happening.
Shortly after, electronic buzzing sounds start to echo through out the air as the door to their side unlatches from it's locks. "Atta boy, Katalyst." Stack says through his intercom, "Three, two, one..." Stack whispers out as he holds his hand up in the air, curling down a finger with each number he says until he forms a fist. The taller slender man, presses open the door and slides his body in, the petite similar dressed female follows immediately after.
"Go quick, multiple hostiles incoming from your last location." Klutch's voice has slight concern in it.
"Go go go..." Stack replies as the two spies move with haste down the hallway, checking around each corner with the sides of their heads before moving to the right as Klutch told them. The two quickly move down a handful of steps before pressing open one final door and exiting out of the building into a dim lit parking lot.
A pitch black conversion van that is hidden perfectly in the night skies comes rolling up, its tires screeching as it comes to a halt. As it stops, the side sliding door opens up, "Miss us?" Void gives a wink as she steadies her rifle, taking aim at the door the two infiltrators only moments ago exited the building from. A quick three or four shots from her silenced rifle zip passed Stack and Hi-Fi's heads as two guards who were just about to exit the building and take chase, now stop in their tracks and take cover back inside.
"Go go go!" Stack orders, telling the driver to get going.
Pressing his foot to the gas pedal, Rev burns out as the van skids off into the distance. At the same time, the sliding door of the van gets shut as Stack, Hi-Fi and Void all fall to their butts onto the floor of the van, gasping for breaths and laughing at what just happened. At this point, with Rev driving the getaway van and nobody chasing after them, they knew they were in the clear.
"I've missed this..." Hi-Fi tells the van, "The adrenaline, the action, the intense nail biting situations..." she purrs out, "Mmm Mmm Mmm..."
"You and I both" Rev replies from the driver's seat as he's carefully weaving the van down road after road, doing what he can to evade the less than normal traffic during this after midnight time. "Shit like this is intoxicated, better than any drug, better than any sex."
"Clearly you haven't been having the right sex then." Void chuckles out causing Hi-Fi and Stack to laugh as well.
"Hah!" Rev releases a few short grunts, "Say what you want, nothing beats the rush of a getaway...fuckin love it!"
Nods from the group go around as Rev drives back to base, bringing the piece of stolen hardware back to their base of operations and ready to tally another Mission Success in their log. "Klutch, Katalyst." Stack touches his earpiece, "Well done, we'll be back in thirty minutes, see you soon!"
As the vehicle speeds off down a single wide back alley between buildings, it isn't long before the team is clear of any danger. "Piece of cake..." Rev grumbles to himself. With one final turn the van goes up a ramp, making it's way towards an expressway and back towards their base of operations. As the van merges onto the speedway, the group inside congratulate each other for another job well done.
