It was the best of times?well?okay?not really?but it wasn't
exactly the worst of times, either. It was, actually, "business as usual" for
dear old Planet Earth. Saddam Hussein had just gotten the shit bombed out of

sucked. Poverty, famine, and disease were rampant even in the so-called
"developed nations". People still harbored hatred towards those of their
neighbors who happened to be of a different race, creed, color, or sexual
persuasion. It was, in fact, so much like the present time that one would
have to look long and hard (and even then, one would probably fail) to find a
significant difference.
HOWEVER:
Once upon a Midnight cheerily unlike anything Eddie Poe ever
imagined (thank the Goddess!) there stood a young manimal named Horatio
at the Bridge of Sighs, pondering with much furrowing of the brow and
similar physical manifestations such as often occur simultaneously with deep
thinking. (You see it in pictures of guys like Socrates, Gustav Mahler,
Gregory Chapman?guys like that). Anyway, there he was, meditating most
deeply on matters profound (or was he meditating most profoundly on
matters deep? I never can tell the difference). However it was, there was a
cold and bitter windy blowing, that cold and bitter windy called Euroclydon
by some and Mariah by others?but Horatio only pulled his coat more closely
about his ascetically wasted body, stoutly refusing to allow himself to be
dissuaded from his purpose. For he was determined to stand there until he
had discovered the Reason for his life and why he had been born into this
world of death, disease, and digital watches. And now, as the wind blew
even colder, hr raised his face to the moon and cried out in a frenzy of
discontent, angst, and general EFF YOU-siveness: "Why am I here??? Why?
Why?"
And it was then (if you can believe it) that a thin silvery ray of frozen
fire came crackling down from the moon and impacted the bridge right in
front of Horatio's feet, causing him to leap back in surprise and alarm.
There was an aroma as if someone were burning mimosa and ozone scented
incense. Horatio stared and stared as the ray began to shrink in on itself as if
energy were striving to become matter. "There must be more things I heaven
and earth than I have heretofore dreamt of in all my philosophy!" Horatio
muttered as he watched the light squirm and change. Gradually the beam took
on a feminine'll get you ten form divine and said "Hi!"
Horatio stared at this vision of Shemale Loveliness in holy erection,
Batman! "Who?who are you?" he gasped. "And while we're at it...what
are you?"
Well, Night Angel babies, as it turned out her name was Transvestia

the veritable femmepersonification of the Fairy in the Moon, it turned out that
she had actually come from the moon for the sole purpose of granting Horatio
three wishes! Well, doesn't that just make your nipples tingle? (mine too).
"You get Three Wishes," she told him. "The Wish of the Maiden, the
Wish of the Mother, and the Wish of the Crone!"
"Hum!" said Horatio, and fell into a brown study?which was rather
odd when you consider that just a second before he had been standing on a
bridge that spanned the river of no return delivery requested. But, as I said,
the study was brown, and its walls were lined with books whose subject
matter ranged from Gender Dysphoria for Fun & Profit, to such weighty
philosophical tricks & treatises as Dr. Bruno Tiresias's famous work
SYNCHRONICITY, MY ASS! to the Wurlitzer prize-winning Agatha
Emry's well known FROM ANIMA TO ANIMATION (THE
LOONEYTOON AS MIRROR TO THE SOUL). "Where are we?" Horatio
stammered, for he was much astonished by their sudden transition.
At this, Transvestia Nancy inhaled a plentiful supply of prana, batted
her cool and limpid green eyes, and proceeded to chant the following runic
cube:

Do you know why most young men sought her
Because she had a lovely daughter!!!"
"I see," said Horatio (who didn't). "But why have you brought us
here?"
Transvestia Nancy gazed at him with pity for his obtuseness monster.
"To grant your first wish, naturally," said she. "Did you not wish for some
refuge against that cold and bitter wind called Euroclydon we now our gay
apparel???"
"By jinkies, you're right!' said Horatio. "I'd clean forgotten, but
now that you mention it I do seem to recall just such a wishful thinking as
you have described & phariseed!"
"And now for your second wish," said the Lunar Fairy. And she
crossed her eyes nine times, and nine times did she stick her tongue out at
him, and nine times she wiggled her ears?first the right ear nine times, and
then the left ear nine times, making a total of nine times for both ears (for
what is 1+8 if it be not NINE???). And then Horatio found that he had been
transformed into a beautiful 27-year-old girl (2+7=?). And Horatio turned to
Transvestia Transgendera Nancy and said "What the??"
And Transvestia Nancy smiled sweetly upon him and said: "Thus is
your second wish granted!"
"'Second wish?'" the pretty young woman cried in dismay, gazing at
her own reflection in horrified lust, her hands softly caressing her pert and
gravity-defying titties. "What second wish??? I didn't make no stinkin'
wish!!!"
"Au contrariwise, my dear young lady," Transvestia contradicted.
"Did you not wish to be pursued by many?"
Horatio shook her head, noticing, as she did so, how her long blonde
hair billowed in sexily shining coils around her soft, shapely shoulders and
down her back. "I never wished for that!"
"Ah, but you did!" said Nancy. "I read it in your mind quite clearly
that one of your fondest wishes was to be chased!"
Horatio turned to the Moon Maiden with an irritated expression on her
pretty face. "What I was wishing," she said slowly and deliberately, as one
would explain things to a child or a Christian Fundamentalist, "what I was
wishing was to be chaste?not chased!"
"Oops!" said Nancy. "Those?ah..homophones can be a real bitch
sometimes. My fault, here, I'll change you back!"
"No hurry," Horatio said swiftly, as her left hand (which had a mind
of its own) began to stroke her pubic nuisance. "In fact," she moaned. "I
think (gasp) we'd better (ooooh!) leave things as they (ohmigod!) are!!!"
"As you wish," said the Lunar Fairy with a smile. "And now: your
third wish!!!"
And there was a grand ah-whoom and Horatio found herself lying on
a huge circular waterbed covered with passionate pink silk sheets and a
passionate pink spread. She, herself, was wearing a passionate pink
babydoll nightie (sans panties) and a middle-aged (but not unhandsome)
gentleman was screwing her with great zest. She lay there frozen in
astonishment as he finished his business, dressed, thanked her charmingly,
handed her nine hundred dollars in cash, picked up his hat, and left, closing
the door softly behind him. Horatio gazed up at the mirror in the ceiling in
which, instead of her own face, she could see the face of Transvestia Jones
and said "What the??"
"Behold the granting of your Third Wish!" said Nancy. "Did you not
wish for a well-paid position with plenty of exercise?"
"So?"
"So," said Nancy. "You are no longer mild-mannered Horatio?no
no! Your are now Holly, The Hollywood Ho?ho ho!" And, with that, the
Queen of the Copernican Mountains and Empress of the Sea of Tranquillity
went back to the moon until such time as her services would again be needed
by one of those mixed-up creatures who style themselves (with an endearing
sense of humor) Homo sapiens. Holly stripped off her nightie and took a
long hot soak in the tub (with plenty of passionate pink bubbles) so she
would be all fresh and sweet-smelling for her next?ah?customer. (whose
name, curiously enough, would be John. And John had had a pretty strange
life himself, now that I think about it. It all started in Columbus, Ohio back
in '74 when John was a cheerleader named Joanna?but that's another
story).
Elsewhere, it was business as usual on good old planet Earth.
Televangelist Saddam "The Baptist" Hussein was drawing huge crowds with
his Crusade for Allah, the global economy was booming, poverty, famine,
and disease could be found only in the history books and old movies like
DOCTOR ERLICH'S MAGIC BULLET, and people continued to respect
and value each other regardless of race, creed, color, or sexual persuasion.
All in all, I'd say that I don't think we'd be justified in saying that the Lunar
Fairy's visit had made any significant difference?do you?
