Cecil Mathers, 'Cec' to his friends, was a real S.O.B.. He was ready to end his
three-year marriage just because he was tired of his wife. He had to figure some
way to get out of paying alimony though.
"Jack, you avoided the alimony bit, how?" Cec asked his best friend. Jack Carson
had successfully gotten out of his five year marriage without paying his former
wife a dime. She was now working at the all night waffle house as a waitress.
"I proved my wife was screwing another man," Jack told him.
"But she wasn't, she never looked at another man, I know, I tried to talk her into
bed once myself."
"Yeah, I just got someone to threaten to testify in court that they were having an
affair. That scared her. She didn't want a bad reputation so she agreed to no
alimony."
"She was that hung up on what people think? Sheesh, I just told you I went after
your wife and it didn't bother you."
"Hey, women, who can figure 'em out?" Jack said with a laugh.
"Well that's a cool idea, wonder where I could find someone like that? Anne is
very proud of her squeaky clean reputation, she would be scared shitless to have
anyone even THINK she was screwing around. How about you Jack, want to help
a buddy out?" Cec asked.
"Can't do it. It needs to be someone who isn't a good friend, someone who has no
reason to lie for you. I have a friend that may be able to help you out though. Call
this guy and tell him Jack sent you."
Cec made the call and the next day he met the guy in a bar downtown.
"Okay Mr. Mathers, fill out this and get it back to me along with $1000.00 in
cash."
Flipping through the thick stack of papers he had been handed, Cec looked at
some of the questions he was being asked to answer.
"These are pretty personal, why do you need to know about my birthmarks, not
just my wife's? And these questions about having sex?"
"Look, Mr. Mathers, we have to make it look good. I have to make sure my guy
can give enough details that her attorney won't raise a fuss. She has to believe that
her reputation will be destroyed. Details like your birthmarks that she described to
her lover are what women love to gossip about. That's what scares these gals the
most, what their friends and family will think of them. Trust me, I've done this a
hundred times. Now that thousand, that's just if we don't have to go to court. If my
man has to testify, that's $15,000.00 more."
"What! That's ridiculous." Cec said.
"Last year the average alimony granted in this county was 47% of salary, after
taxes, with a minimum of five years of payments."
"That much? I had no idea. How many times have you had to go to trial?" Cec
asked. He was thinking of his $85,000.00 a year job and how he really didn't want
to share it with anyone.
"Once, and we won. Remember though, we don't make guarantees and this is
perjury. We could all go to jail if we get caught. I just like my customers to know
what they are in for. If you get caught, you'll pay for a long time."
"Okay, thanks for the warning. I have no intention of getting caught though."
Cec got the papers and the money back to the nameless man.
Three weeks later, he was sitting in the office of his wife's divorce attorney.
"You sir, are a snake in the grass," the attorney said.
"Yeah sure, and lawyers are such upstanding, trustworthy, loyal, righteous
people." Cec sneered at him.
"Against my advice, your, soon-to-be, former wife has agreed to your demand.
She will not seek alimony in return for no mention being made of her alleged
affair. If any word of this false accusation leaks out, you will find yourself back in
court and we will seek the maximum alimony allowed by law. There is one
condition." The attorney thought the condition a silly one but his client had been
very insistent. "You must agree to visit a water park with your wife today for at
least an hour. She will sign the papers at the end of that hour or when you leave
the park, whichever you choose."
Cec thought it was very weird also but he agreed. So he went swimming, who
cares.
Anne was waiting for Cec when he got out of his Lexus. He parked it next to a
light pole so he could find it in the crowded lot. He had a date tonight and he
wanted to get out of here with no problems. He looked up and read the sign above
the entrance way, Bikini Beach, the name had promise.
He followed Anne to the ticket booth and she bought them each a one-day pass.
She handed Cecil his and she headed toward the ladies locker room. Cecil looked
up and saw an older woman smiling at him. It wasn't a smile he enjoyed seeing.
More like the look a cat might give a mouse before playing with it.
"The men's changing room is right through there, make sure you shower, it's a
health department regulation," she told him.
Cec found an empty locker. It seemed like an awfully small locker room for such
a large park. There were only about a dozen lockers and they were all empty.
Well it was the middle of the week, he shrugged and undressed. He slipped on his
trunks and was going to forego the shower but decided to at least get wet so he
wouldn't catch any heat from the lifeguard or that spooky old woman. Cecil
relaxed under the warm water and closed his eyes for a moment, the faint pink
hue the water mist displayed never registered in his mind.
Cecil walked out of the locker room into the bright sunlight. At the end of the
hallway was a full-length mirror. He stopped to check out the way his body
looked in his new trunks. The visit to the Water Park might prove advantageous.
Maybe he would meet a new girl here.
Stepping in front of the mirror, Cecil stared wide eyed and open mouth. His
normally close cropped hair was lying on his shoulders, his formerly broad
shoulders that were now rounded. The real shock was his chest though, he had
two smallish breasts lying on his chest, 'B" cup at most and sagging at that.
"Hmm, Mother Nature wasn't as kind as she could have been in the breast
department, was she?" Anne said.
Spinning around, Cec faced his wife. "You did this to me, you lying, back
stabbing bitch!"
"Young lady! I do not allow nude sunbathing here, this is a family oriented
establishment. I also do not allow that type of language. A woman may be many
things but she is not a female dog. Now, here, put this on or you will have to
leave." It was the old woman from the front, she tossed Cecil a bikini top that
matched the new bikini bottom he was now wearing. Looking down at his groin,
he noticed what he had missed before, a very flat looking crotch.
"Yep Cec, that's gone too. You?re a woman now." Anne said with a chuckle.
"By the way MISS, your friend here didn't change you, I did. This is a female
only water park. The change was accomplished by magic and lasts until your pass
expires and for twelve hours after that. You bought a one-day pass and we close at
9pm today so by 9am tomorrow, you will be back in your old male body. Now,
cover yourself up, watch your language and enjoy your day at Bikini Beach." The
old woman turned on her heel and walked back toward the ticket booth.
Anne helped Cecelia, Cece to her friends, to put her top on. Then she coached her
on adjusting her new appendages to look best in the skimpy top, not that it helped
much.
"What's the idea of this Anne, why do something like this, can't you be a gracious
loser?"
"Gracious? You got some guy to lie about me having an affair to block me from
getting alimony and you want me to be gracious? Well screw you buddy, I mean,
SISTER. I just wanted to make you sweat a little. I wasn't going to tell you it was
temporary. I was going to let you find out for yourself. Who knows, you might
have even explored your feminine side if you thought the change was permanent,
maybe even gone out with a guy. Well, the old lady blew my plan." Anne looked
bitterly in the direction the old woman had walked off in.
"Ha! You can't even pull off a dumb practical joke. That's why you'll always be a
loser in life Anne, you have to think these things out and plan them better. I would
have talked to the old woman and had her in on the joke. Hell, I'd have had her
over here telling me that it WAS permanent. Well, better luck next time." Cecelia
turned back toward the mirror and re-examined her new look. She had shoulder
length blonde hair with bangs but the color didn't look natural. Her eyes were
brown and her lips were thin looking. She was wearing a red bikini with a thong
bottom, the strip of cloth running up her crack should have been uncomfortable
but it wasn't. Cece's legs were her best feature, and she had good skin but her face
look a little too much like Cecil to be considered anything more than 'nice'
looking.
"Well, I agreed to stay here at least an hour, what do you want to do first?" Cece
asked with a grin.
Anne looked upset and disgusted, her plan had been busted. "I don't care, I'm
going to get some sun. You do what you want." Anne walked over to a lounge
chair and stretched out, closing her eyes.
"Okay, I think I?ll try the water slide." Cece headed off and got in line. She spent
the next couple of hours playing in the water with the 'other' scantily clad
women. She would have some great memories to use in a fantasy sometime.
Inwardly she leered and tried to get as many phone numbers as she could. Cecil
was a free man as soon as they signed the divorce papers.
Anne found him in line for the rapids ride later in the afternoon.
"Cece, I'm ready to go, can we go sign the papers now. I want to get out of here."
She was so discouraged looking, Cece couldn't help but smile.
"Ah, don't frown Anne, you'll win someday, I'm sure." The patronizing tone Cece
used just making it worse. For the first time Cece noticed the slightly nasal tone to
her higher pitched voice.
Cece went back into the locker room and opened her locker up. She found that the
slacks, shirt and jockey shorts she left behind had been changed into a short
denim skirt, a faded T-shirt with a picture of Hulk Hogan on it and a pair of dingy
panties. There was a worn and stretched out looking bra that barely supported her
breasts as well. Her topsiders where now a pair of straw sandals. Shrugging her
shoulders she dressed with ease, as if she had worn female clothing all her life.
When she peeled her wet thong off she found out that Cece got her hair color
from a bottle. She discovered a purse as well and she had applied lipstick before
realizing what she was doing. She started to wipe it off and stopped.
'What the heck,' she thought, 'it's only for a few hours and I look better with it on.'
Cece walked out to the front of the park and saw Anne waiting there. She was
leaning against a picnic table on the edge of the parking lot.
"So, you have some papers for me to sign?" Cece asked.
"Yes, I have two different sets, one set allows for $1,500.00 per month in
alimony, the other set ends the marriage with no alimony. Won't you reconsider
and sign the set that sets alimony, please?"
"No, absolutely not. Give me both sets I want to make sure what I'm signing."
Cece glanced at one set, she saw the phrase 'Alimony in the amount of $1,500.00
per month shall be paid?' she quickly tore that set up and looked at the other set.
She scanned over it quickly, skipping whole paragraphs until she found the
phrase,' no alimony shall be paid and this provision is non-revocable by mutual
agreement of all parties'. Just as he had dictated to the attorney's secretary.
She dug in her purse for a pen and quickly signed her name in the five different
places that it required. After signing the last line she noticed that she had signed
'Cecelia L. Matheson.' Anne took the papers and stuck them in her purse, she was
now smiling.
"Why is my name different?" She looked up at Anne and found she had walked
off and was in the parking lot now. She was leaning on an old Volvo station
wagon. It was parked next to the light pole where she had left her 2000 Lexus.
"Where's my car?" Cece asked.
"This is Cece's car. The magic used here shifts reality, you are Cece and will be
until the spell wears off. Cece owns a 1985 Volvo."
Cece felt a little bell going off in her head but decided that it was nothing, Anne
had tried to yank her, Cecil's, chain and failed.
"Okay, so for a few hours I can drive an old car, I still win." Cece said.
"Well, not exactly sweetie," Anne explained, "you see, I would have never
married a woman named Cece, you just signed your own divorce papers from
your husband Carl Matheson. In this reality, you married Carl a couple of years
ago, right after you dropped out of junior college. Now he's left you with
nothing."
"I did try to get you to sign the ones that would have given you alimony but you
are a strong willed and independent woman of the new millennium, I'm proud of
you for taking such a firm stand. You do have a job as a waitress at the all night
waffle house and you can commiserate with Karen Carson since she's in the same
position as you. Poor Cece, not ugly but not pretty, either. Not enough up top to
get a job as a dancer and not enough education to get anything that pays half-way
decent. Short skirts look good on you, your legs are your best feature," Anne said
"But the spell only last until the pass expires, the old lady said so. I'll be Cecil
tomorrow morning."
"Only after your pass expires," Anne told her with a sly grin.
Cece dug through her purse with shaking hands and found her pass, she breathed
a sigh of relief, it was a one-day pass, dated to day.
"See, one day, dated today, it expires when the park closes and then twelve hours
later, I'm Cecil again. Nice try Anne, you scared me for almost a whole minute,"
Cece chuckled.
"Oh, I forgot to give you my gift. It was rather expensive but well worth the price,
here dear, use it in good health. You see, I did have a chat with the old woman
before I brought you out here, she was a big help."
Cece read the bright pink laminated card. It had her name 'Cecelia Lynn
Matheson' printed on it and stated that the person named above held a non-
transferable, non-revocable, Lifetime Pass to Bikini Beach, subject to all the rules,
regulations and conditions of membership.
"But?" Cece said, her mouth moving but no further sounds came out.
"Gotcha!' Anne said with a grin.
