Bikini Beach: A Bad Wish at the Beach By Elrod W Howard shuffled across the hot asphalt, his gaze cast downward. It wasn't from fear of tripping; the only trip hazards were the few cracks in the pavement. It was rather that Howard was a shy man, lacking a bit in the self-confidence department. Howard wasn't exactly a nerd, or a loser; he just was very solitary, and that made him awkward around other people. Howard glanced up, and saw some girls staring at him as they walked toward the gate. He tried to force himself to smile, or nod, or do something to acknowledge their presence; alas, he could not. He just kept ambling toward the booth outside the gate, his gaze returning to the pavement. As he walked, Howard pondered his situation. At thirty-two, he wasn't old, nor was he particularly unattractive. He also wasn't particularly rich. That was his problem, he decided (yet again). Women were interested in men with money, or movie star looks. But maybe, at this park, he might find a woman who'd look past that, to his inner self. Maybe he could find a soul mate. At least, that was his hope. "May I help you?" Howard looked up nervously at the young lady in the ticket booth. She had a warm friendly smile, the type that could brighten any day. Instantly, he felt a bit more at ease. "Uh," he mumbled, "I'd like a ticket." The young lady sighed. "This is a private park, sir," she said in a polite but bored tone, as if she'd recited the same lines countless thousands of times. "We don't sell tickets." Howard felt his heart sink a bit, but the girl continued. "We do have a limited number of guest passes available, though." Howard's hopes lifted. "How much for a, uh, two day pass?" The girl quoted a price to Howard. He whistled. "Wow, that's steep!" He slipped his hands back in his pockets and turned from the window. Bunch of socialite snobs, he thought to himself. Making it too expensive for common people. Anya felt his thoughts, his sense of rejection. She shook her head sadly as he shuffled out of view. For a brief second, she thought of giving him a free pass, but only for a moment ? until she remembered her grandmother's admonition about `giving away the store'. Despite Grandmother's magic, the park still needed to turn a profit. Howard shuffled back toward his car, wondering what he'd do now. The public beaches just weren't safe since the gangs moved in, and there weren't any good places to pick up girls. Maybe he should try the mall again... If he hadn't been looking down, Howard wouldn't have spotted the flash of yellow as something hit the pavement, dropping perhaps from a bush or tree. The metallic plink was muffled, but there was no mistaking the shiny yellowish metal coin. Howard stopped, bending over to peer more closely at it. A tiny hand, protruding from a greenish jacket, reached out from the bush toward the coin. Howard stared, open-mouthed. From the size, the hand couldn't belong to someone more than three feet tall. Slowly, as if to not be seen, the hand snaked along the pavement, groping in search of the yellow disk. Howard made a life-changing decision then and there. Whatever it was, the object must be valuable, perhaps worth enough to get into the park. Howard stepped solidly onto the coin with his foot, and just in time. Though he missed the tiny hand by scant centimeters, it groped onto his shoe almost instantly. For a few comical seconds, the hand probed around, exploring the object that had suddenly appeared, trying to determine what was blocking its way. Finally, the hand withdrew into the bush. Howard started to bend over to retrieve the coin, but he was stopped by a rustling sound from the bush. As he watched in disbelief, a tiny man emerged from the bush; the little man couldn't have been more than two and a half feet tall. He was clad in a suit of Kelly green, with darker green lapels and cuffs. Atop his head, a hat, also green, perched on moppish locks of reddish-brown hair; a belt of black adorned with a shiny brass buckle encircled the hat just above the brim. The tiny man's feet were shod in boots of shiny black. A reddish-brown beard to match his hair covered his chin, and a tiny little pipe was clenched in his teeth. He gazed up at Howard, a look of irritation on his countenance. "You're a... a... a..." Howard stammered, not truly believing what he saw. "Aye, lad, I'm a leprechaun," the tiny man said, still looking mighty annoyed. "The name's Patty. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He looked down at Howard's foot. "Now, laddie, if ye don't mind, I believe ye are standing on something of mine." Howard gazed, then he shook his head to clear it. "What?" He let his gaze drift down to where Patty was pointing at his shoe. "Oh, yeah." Howard started to lift his foot, but then he stopped. "Wait a minute," he said cautiously, his eyes narrowing. "How do I know it's yours?" Patty looked up at Howard, and then rolled his eyes skyward. "Heavens be merciful," he wailed in dismay, "'tis not like the old country, where at least a wee folk can expect that the locals know the legends and lore. Och, what a bunch of unread illiterates!" Patty looked back at Howard and sighed. "I'm a leprechaun, you silly man. Us wee folk always have a pot of gold. Through me own clumsiness, I dropped one of me coins, and I'll thank ye to give it back to me." Howard squatted down; his foot still perched atop the mysterious coin. "How do I know it's really gold? Or that it's yours? Hmm?" His eyes narrowed as he contemplated. "It's probably one of those new gold-colored dollar coins or just a brass token. So why would you have any interest in it?" He watched Patty roll his eyes in disbelief yet again. "And besides, in this country, we have a custom. Finders, keepers." Howard smiled smugly. "Which means it's mine." Patty shook his head slowly. He plucked the pipe angrily from his mouth and shook it at Howard. "Now look here! Ye are standing on my coin. And I want it back." Howard started to get a plan in his mind. Patty's protests notwithstanding, he did know something of the legends of leprechauns. "Okay, if it's really so valuable, how about if we make a trade?" Patty glanced warily at Howard. "And what might ye want in return for the coin? Me own coin?" "Have you ever heard the saying that possession is nine-tenths of the law?" Howard knew he had the little man. "I want three wishes." Patty's face reddened. "Do I look like some daft blue smokey lad that lives in a brass lamp?" His jaw ground in annoyance as he sputtered, trying to find suitable words. Finally, he calmed. "I don't do that silly rub-my-lamp-and-get- three-wishes genie nonsense," he fumed. For a long second, he stared angrily at Howard. "One wish. I'll grant ye one wish." Howard's eyes gleamed in triumph. "Okay..." Patty raised his arms, waving his hands to cut off Howard. "First, ye need to know the terms and conditions. First, I grant one wish and only one wish. Ye may not wish for extra wishes. Ye cannot make a multi-part wish. And I am obligated to grant your wish exactly as ye word it. Okay?" Howard nodded. He was eager to get his wish. He scratched his chin thoughtfully for a moment. "No multi-part wishes. Hmmm." His eyes lit up. "Okay, I've got it. I want to be the most attractive person in that park." He gestured over to the Bikini Beach sign. Patty sighed, and then began to wave his hands. But before he could complete his magic, Howard spoke suddenly and insistently. "Wait! Wait a minute." Patty's arms froze, and he scowled at Howard. "What is it, me lad? Are ye going to get on with your wish or not?" Howard frowned, his mind contemplating the nagging doubt that had suddenly formed. Then, with a dawning recognition, his eyes widened. "Ah, I think I'd like to clarify the wording of my wish. Can't be too careful, you know," he said with a grin. He stroked his chin yet again. "Good looking isn't enough - most girls want money and other things, too." He smiled at the little man. "Okay, I want to have the very best of everything that any woman in that park desires." Patty stared at him for a moment, then nodded. "So ye shall have it." He waited a second, and then pointed at Howard's foot. "What?" Howard followed his stare. "Oh, yeah. The coin." Howard shuffled his balance, still crouching as he was, and stepped off the coin. He lifted the object from the asphalt and handed it to Patty. Patty took the coin from Howard and pulled a little purse-like object from his pocket. With a snap, he opened it, and with a clinking of metal on metal, he dropped the coin in. And as quickly, he snapped it shut again and dropped it back in his pocket. Patty waved his hand, and pulled a card from the air. "Here ye are, lad." Howard took the card and stared at it, puzzlement creeping across his features. "How does this give me my wish?" he finally demanded. "Are you trying to cheat me?" Patty frowned. "I'll trust ye to not impugn my honor, sir!" he said angrily. "That pass gets you into the park, where the magic will work to completion." Howard rocked back from the rebuke. "Sorry," he said quickly. "I didn't mean to offend you." He stood, a smile creeping across his face and turned toward the park. Before he could take a single step, however, he turned, remembering something of manners. "Thanks for the wish," he said cheerfully, glancing down. But his cheery smile turned to a puzzled frown; Patty was nowhere to be seen. Howard shrugged and turned back toward the gate. With his confidence growing at each step, Howard walked briskly toward the gate, bypassing the girl in the booth. Remembering Howard, Anya watched with a confused look as he swiped a card in the turnstile and walked into the park. She frowned, wondering what was going on. For a moment, Anya closed her eyes, reaching out with her mind. Then a curious smile crept onto her pretty features. ********** Howard stepped into the shower out of habit; as a long-time swimmer, he knew enough to rinse before swimming. There was also the little matter of the health department warning signs, just in case. The warm water felt refreshing and almost tingly as it sprayed around him, invigorating and energizing him. So engrossed was he with the shower that he failed to notice the faint pink mist rising around him in the shower stall. As he stepped toward the door, Howard wondered if something was wrong; his stride felt a little odd, as if his center of gravity were altered. He felt himself hunching a little, as if some weight were pulling him forward, and with a determined effort, threw back his shoulders. A strange bouncing sensation on his chest was the reward his body gave him. Howard shook his head to clear the strange feeling. Something wet flopped against his back and shoulders, further adding to Howard's confusion. Still, he was only a step or two from the park full of girls, and this knowledge allowed Howard to discount the strange sensations. Even the odd height of the door handle and the weight of the door didn't sink into Howard's consciousness. Howard's eyes blinked shut to blot out the bright sunlight as he stepped outside the locker room. For a brief second, he stood still, waiting for his eyes to adjust. As Howard pried his eyes open, he did a double take. Standing in front of him was a woman, staring straight at him. Slowly, as his eyes completed their adaptation to the outdoor light, they opened even more, and Howard's jaw slowly opened. The woman was attractive, very attractive, gorgeous, in fact. Her hair, wet and matted as it was, was still a very attractive blonde, hanging way past her shoulders in waves and curls. Her face was a picture of perfection, from her soft blue eyes to her full sensuous lips, high cheeks and cute little nose. Her skin, lightly tanned, was ideal, without a single blemish, wrinkle, or freckle. Howard let his gaze wander downward, past her smooth neck, to her soft shoulders. And then Howard's eyes widened. The woman had the most perfect, large, round, full breasts that he'd ever seen. And they were bare, exposed to the world! Big round dark nipples capped the gorgeous mounds that displayed not a hint of sag or droop. Howard slowly continued his visual tour, hard as it was to tear his gaze from the woman's chest. Her stomach was perfectly smooth, with not a trace of fat or wrinkle. Her waist was proportioned just ever so perfectly to accentuate her boobs above and her hips below, narrow without looking cartoonish. Her hips were round, full and feminine, without being too wide. A tiny little bikini bottom rode high on her hips, covering her crotch in a very sexy and seductive manner. Howard knew he was looking at a model. There was no other profession suited for a woman of such beauty. "Young lady," a voice sounded from behind him, distracting him momentarily, "I do not permit topless sunbathing in my park." Howard turned, startled. The voice seemed to be directed at him, but it couldn't be! He saw an old woman standing; her arms crossed sternly, a frown on her face. And she was staring at him! "Young lady, did you hear me?" the old woman said again. Howard's jaw flapped as he realized that the woman was talking directly to him. "But..." His voice rang impossibly in his ears ? a soft, musical voice oozing with sex appeal. "But..." The old woman grasped him by the arms and turned him back toward the mirror. Howard's jaw dropped open. The old woman was behind him, holding him. And yet, she was holding the arms of the young lady in the mirror! Slowly, the awful truth began to sink into Howard's stunned mind. The woman was staring at him, even as he stared at her. He lifted his hand, and watched in horror as the woman aped his movements. He spun back to the old woman, the odd tugging and swaying on his chest now alarming. "What's happened to me?" he cried. "I'm not a girl!" The old woman frowned. "As long as you're in my park, you'll be a woman. It's in the terms of the pass you bought." Howard felt like crying, and that was a strange feeling itself. "But I didn't buy a pass!" The old woman's frown deepened. She grasped Howard by the arm. "Come with me to my office." ********** Howard sat in the chair, feeling uncomfortable on his new, rounder butt, which could he have seen it, he would agree it was easily the most attractive derriere he'd ever laid eyes on. His legs, long and sleek and smooth and hairless, splayed in a very unfeminine manner, while he fidgeted, gazing in disbelief at the large breasts on his chest, then at the delicate woman's hands which were already absently twirling strands of his long blonde hair. "Okay, how about if you tell me how you got this?" The old woman was holding the pass Howard had used to get into the park. "I met a ... a ... uh," Howard began, realizing the unbelievable nature of his story. "I met a leprechaun in your parking lot," he finally blurted. He looked down, embarrassed to be telling such a tale. "And he gave you the ticket?" The old woman's tone indicated that she considered his story perfectly credible. Howard looked up meekly. "Uh huh. In exchange for one of his gold coins." The old woman's brow furrowed. "You had a leprechaun's coin. And he gave you a pass to get it back?" She seemed most amazed by this seemingly trivial fact. Howard gulped. "Well, not exactly. He sort of dropped it. And when I saw it, I stepped on it. To keep it for myself," he added quickly. "He wanted it back, so he traded me a wish for the coin." "Ah, I see," the old woman said. "You wished for a pass, since you couldn't afford to buy one." Howard looked down again. "No, I didn't." He knew what the old woman was going to ask next. "I wished to have what the women wanted. So I could be attractive to them. So I could get dates and stuff." He looked up fearfully at the old woman. "I didn't wish to get turned into... this!" The old woman frowned again. "Patty!" she screamed toward the ceiling. "Patty, I know you're watching. Drag your mischievous little Irish butt in here at once!" A puff of smoke erupted from the woman's desk, and a grinning Patty emerged as it cleared. "And how are ye doing this fine, fine day?" he said pleasantly in his thick Irish brogue. He glanced around, at Howard sitting in the chair. For some reason, Howard was looking absently at his nails, examining them for flaws and imperfections. The old woman frowned. "What have you done this time, Patty?" The leprechaun feigned innocence. "Me? Why do ye accuse me of doing anything?" He glanced at the old woman, and realized that his act wasn't selling. "I can't be held responsible for an improperly worded wish." "Such as..." "He asked to have, and I quote, the very best of everything that any woman in that park desires. Unquote." The old woman dropped her face into her hands, her head shaking slowly. "Okay. Thanks for clearing it up, Patty." The leprechaun vanished in another puff of smoke. She turned to Howard, sitting in the chair, his legs now crossed so ladylike, while he continued to twirl a long strand of hair around his fingers. "Well, I think I know what happened." "So what happened?" Howard asked, his voice surprisingly devoid of concern. "Your wish was worded rather... uh... badly. You asked for the best of what women in my park want, right?" Howard looked thoughtful for a moment, and then nodded. "Something like that, yeah." "And you assumed that you'd have what you needed to be attractive to women, right? That you'd get all of the attributes that women found attractive in men, right?" Howard nodded, embarrassed to have been caught. "Yeah," he muttered. "I just wanted women to pay attention to me." The old woman sighed. "Did it never occur to you that the word `desire' could be interpreted as envy? That maybe what you'd get were the attributes that women envied in each other or desired in themselves?" She sighed yet again. "From the look of things, you did get the best: the best breasts, the best figure, the shapeliest legs, the most attractive features, the best hair. The best of anything that anyone in the park might have envied." Howard's mind slowly wrapped itself around her words; a slow realization dawned on his features as he absorbed the totality of his mistake. "But that's not what I wanted!" he wailed. "I wanted to be attractive to women - as a man!" "You got the pass. So when you came into my park, you were changed. Into that form." Howard frowned. "So I'll just leave, and..." The old woman shook her head, holding up the card. "This is a lifetime pass. Non-transferable, and non-revocable. It never wears off." She watched his jaw drop. "You're stuck like that... forever." She sat back in her chair. "And one more thing." "What's that?" "I bet you didn't realize that most women are a little insecure in their bodies, and in themselves. That they desire, sometimes rather overtly, being more comfortable with themselves. More comfortable with their sexuality. Less shy, and more outgoing. To feel sexier." As she spoke, she sensed a change. His expression seemed to be melting, becoming much less harsh, as if his concerns were drifting away. Howard started to protest, but it wouldn't come. Why would he - she - object to a lifetime membership, or to looking like a model? Why would that be wrong? She frowned, wondering what it was that had been bothering her. Finally, she realized what it was. "I'm so sorry I forgot my top," she said apologetically. She took the top that had magically appeared on the desk and began to expertly put it on. "I won't let it happen again." The old woman smiled, knowing that the magic was nearly done weaving its reality. "Thank you... uh..." She smiled. "Holly. Holly Thomas." The old woman nodded. "Sorry, but I have so many patrons that sometimes I forget them all." Holly smiled and shook her head. "That's okay. I'm just so glad you have this park. It's no fun getting ogled by men everywhere." She brushed her hair over her shoulder. "You wouldn't believe how many men think that, just because they saw my pictures in that magazine, that I should model for them personally." Holly stood, and for a brief second, she appeared a little disoriented, then she smiled as she walked back into the park. The old woman shook her head. Patty, she thought to herself, you did it again. Of course, it really wasn't Patty's fault. Howard had taken the coin, and then insisted on a wish to return it. And it was Howard's own words that had proven to be his downfall. No, all Patty had done was to get her another customer. Then the old woman frowned. If only she'd gotten paid for the membership! I want to thank Elrod W...

Bikini Beach: The Family Outing By Elrod W "This one doesn't look good, either." Mike Harwin slid his key into the ignition as he slammed the car door. He glanced over the seat. "Sorry kids, but this doesn't look like a very nice beach." There was an immediate cry of protest from little Jimmy and his older sister Nichole, seated in the back of the sedan....

Bikini Beach Wandering Eyes

Bikini Beach: Wandering Eyes By Elrodw An active volcano would not have fumed so much as Brenda. It always got to her. At first, she'd considered that she was just being jealous, that her husband's roving eye bothered her because she felt threatened by other women. But now, after several months, she was certain that it wasn't because he was jealous - it was because Dennis' ogling really bothered her. She slapped him lightly. "Stop that," she hissed. Dennis turned his gaze back...

Bikini Beach The Gift Certificate

Bikini Beach: The Gift Certificate Elrod W Something strange was going on, Rick knew. That new water park, Bikini Beach, was a tremendous success; everyone was talking about how great it was. Yet something - some little quirk - tugged at the back of Rick's mind. The park was advertised as a haven for young ladies. So why weren't there hordes of guys going there - to pick up the babes? Perhaps other guys weren't paying attention to the little details, but Rick was. And that was...

Bikini Beach Teaching Sally

Bikini Beach - Teaching Sally By Ellie Dauber Copyright 2000 Author's Note: When I wrote "Swim Date", I got several comments about how rotten I was to Sally, the young transformee that Paula met briefly on Sunday. Bikini Beach YuGiOh Style

I'm doing putting a different spin on Bikini Beach by using Yu-Gi-Oh characters. Wait and see what happens. I should probably say I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh or the idea of Bikini Beach. This is not an official story in the Bikini Beach Universe. *** Yugi waited for the doorbell. He was taking T?a to the beach for a date. He was going to go to the new one called Bikini Beach. T?a finally arrived at Yugi's house. Yugi said goodbye to Yami. "So Yugi, are you ready for this?" T?a said "Yeah o...

Bikini Beach The Purse Snatcher

Author's Note: This story got written while I was also working on the story, "Teaching Sally". I never meant it to be so long, but after I set up the initial situation, which involves a thirty-day pass, I had to do something to fill that time. I decided to try developing multiple story lines, sub-plots. So, this is an experiment. Let me know what you think. Negative constructive criticism ("I don't think you did X very well") is welcome. Suggestions on how to improve ("I...

Bikini Beach: Saving A Life Copyrighted 2000 By Radioactive Loner and JDG I was not a happy man. The heat was baking me. Bikini Beach The Nerds Revenge

Bikini Beach: The Nerds - Revenge By Elrod W Brandon and Robert had been the best of friends since they were four. They'd grown up across the street from each other. They went to the same schools, and they shared most of the same interests. Neither boy was built for sports; they were under six feet in height, and rather slight...

Bikini Beach: Choices By JDG Brad Damien was not a happy man, but then, he hadn't been really happy for some time. It wasn't really anything he could readily identify. He was content in his work, being a construction supervisor was rewarding. You got to see the physical manifestation of your effort come together bit by bit. It wasn't his kids. Bikini Beach A New Experience

Bikini Beach: A New Experience By Roy Del Frink It was another boring old day at the water park. Anya sighed. Nothing unusual, or even notable, about today's customers. Sure, seventeen men had come along with nearly two hundred women, but they'd just gotten one-day passes. Not a single customer purchased a pass lasting longer than a week, and all buyers were female. And the lifeguard and security may as well have stayed home today; their presence had proved unnecessary. Even her lunch...
