Fall Harvest Dance
By Bill Hart
Harry Trelayne wondered which of the girls he knew would be the most
disappointed that he decided to go stag to the school's Fall Harvest
dance tonight. He knew the exact girl he would like to take - her
name was Lisa Stevens - but there were complications with asking her.
Lisa was a babe, a fox, or any one of a hundred other synonymous
names. But she also had a boyfriend - one really big and very jealous
boyfriend - Hank "Big Moose" Williams the football player. Hank
wasn't one of the brightest people Harry had ever met - the standing
joke being Hank was nearly as big as a moose and almost as smart - but
for some totally inexplicable reason Lisa loved him.
Hank had always heard love was blind, but the thought of them being
together was ridiculous.
But with the exception of Lisa and any of the other girls with steady
boyfriends, Harry knew he could have asked just about any girl to the
dance he wanted. And she would have quickly accepted. But he really
wanted to take Lisa and no one else would ever suffice. As a result,
he'd decided to go alone.
He'd even tried to split them up. Although his parents had tried
explaining that he couldn't use his gift to mess around with any of
those blessed by true love, he'd tried breaking Big Moose and Lisa up
anyway...
... and he failed miserably.
It was the first time in his life that his magic had ever failed him
and he didn't like the impotent feeling it gave him one little bit.
Even his parents had found out about his failed attempt somehow.
Although he thought they would be angrier than they were, all they'd
really told him was They wanted them to warn him not to try something
like that again.
Although Harry always wondered who They - complete with capital 'T' -
were, neither of his parents would ever talk about the mysterious
They.
But at the moment, he couldn't do much of anything other than moan and
groan about not being allowed to date Lisa. He couldn't even attempt
to break them up again. After all, he'd been warned - whatever that
really meant - by the mysterious They - the powers that be.
But Harry really didn't think They would or could do anything to him.
He wasn't even sure he believed in Them. In the past, They always
seemed big on cheap talk whenever he did something of which his
parents disapproved. But even if They were nothing more than
childhood stories meant to keep him in line, he still couldn't keep
from thinking that he might wind up a pair of Big Moose's jockey
shorts or something even worse - if there could be something worse
than that.
As he walked to his first class, Harry was surprised to see Todd
Sommers chatting with Lisa. Todd was one of his friends - the only
one to whom he'd ever entrusted his secret. He knew he should have
never told him; he'd been told over and over that it wasn't allowed.
But he'd told Todd done it anyway and nothing had happened to him.
For a short while, he'd been worried about being in deep shit if
anyone ever found out, but obviously that had only been another
example of Their cheap talk as well.
But for a simple normal like Todd, just talking with Lisa was simply
taking his life in his hands. Lisa was a beautiful girl and naturally
gregarious, but Big Moose had one hell of a large green streak
wherever Lisa was concerned.
"Sommers!" hollered Big Moose. "Just what the hell do you think
you're doing?"
When Todd looked up, he saw Moose approaching quickly and angrily.
With discretion being the better part of valor - more simply, running
away was far better than having several broken body parts - Todd
turned and bolted in the opposite direction.
"But Moosey, he was only talking to me," objected Lisa.
Moose paused momentarily, but then continued after Todd without saying
a word. But Lisa had slowed Moose down long enough so he'd lost sight
of the fleeing Todd, who'd probably never before run so fast in his
entire life.
"Where'd he go?" grumbled Moose.
And in response, several nervous fingers pointed in the general
direction of Todd's flight.
As Todd rounded a corner, he ran straight into Harry. He smiled when
he saw it was his friend and not Moose. "You gotta help me out,
Harry. Big Moose saw me talking to Lisa and now he's out to get me."
"I saw you talking to her, but I thought you knew better than that,
Todd," replied Harry. "Just what do you expect me to do about it?"
"You gotta use you magic to help me out," Todd blurted out without
thinking. Fortunately, there was no one else around. "Why don't you
change me into someone else? That's it - change me into someone Moose
isn't looking for."
"I suppose I could do that for you Todd," smiled Harry. "But you'll
owe me a favor in return."
"Anything you want, Harry," sighed Todd. "Anytime. Anywhere. Just
hurry."
"Anything?" asked Harry with a grin. "Consider it done."
Todd felt peculiar for an instant, but it passed very quickly. "What
did you..." He suddenly shut up seeing Big Moose round the corner and
approach them. Without thinking about what he was doing, he tried to
hide behind Harry.
"Where did that little weasel Sommers go Trelayne?" snarled Moose.
"I wish I could help you, Moose, but I don't really know. I haven't
seen Todd today at all."
Moose accepted his answer. No one lied to Moose - at least no lied
more than once. He turned his full attention to Todd, who was
cringing helplessly behind Harry.
"And what about you?" he asked menacingly. "Did you see where that
Sommers dude went?"
"No, Moose. I don't know where he went," replied Todd nervously, his
voice cracking strangely.
"Well, if either of you see him, tell him he can't hide from me very
long. Tell him I'm looking for him. I'm sure he'll understand what
that means."
"I certainly will, Moose," replied Harry. "That is, if I should see
him, I'll certainly tell him what you said."
Moose took another long look at Todd, then shook his head. "I really
thought you could have done a lot better than this, Trelayne." He
took another look at Todd, forced a smile as he shook his head again,
before hurrying off in his pursuit of the vanished Todd.
"I don't believe it; he didn't recognize me," said a very relieved
Todd. "Thanks, Harry." Todd coughed, trying to clear his throat.
His voice still sounded very peculiar in his ears. "I really owe you
big time for this. But what did Moose mean by that strange crack he
made about you doing 'better than this'? It didn't make much sense,
even for Moose." Todd absently swept his long hair away from the
front of his face. "Better than what?"
"He was probably thinking that even at this late date, I could get a
better looking date for the Fall Harvest dance tonight."
"What are you talking about, Harry?" He tried clearing his throat
again. "I know the Fall Harvest dance is tonight, but I thought you'd
decided to go by yourself."
"I had," smiled Harry. "But I changed my mind just a few minutes ago."
Todd looked confused. "Okay. So who's the lucky girl?"
"You."
"Me?"
"That's right. You."
"But you can't take me," objected Todd.
"Why not? I know you don't have a date and you do owe me a favor."
"But you and me ... we just can't. You're a guy. And I'm a guy.
That's why not."
Harry smiled again. "Would you like a second opinion on that, Tammy?"
"Tammy?" muttered Todd. He looked down at himself and was shocked at
discovering he was now wearing a knee length skirt and a soft cotton
blouse. Even worse, he had a small, fortunately barely noticeable,
pair of breasts and long stringy dark brown hair. "What did you do
to me, Harry?"
"You wanted to be someone Moose wasn't looking for - didn't you?"
"Well, yeah, I guess. So what?" replied Todd. "What has that to do
with changing me into this ... this girl?"
"Isn't it obvious? Moose was looking for Todd Sommers, not Tammy
Winters. So I simply changed you into Tammy Winters," said Harry with
a mischievous grin. "You said you owed me one. And I'm sure you must
have heard what Moose said. It will be much easier for me to keep an
eye on you, if you're my date tonight. And I'm certain that by the
time the dance ends Moose will have cooled off enough so he won't want
to reorganize your face. So just relax and don't worry about Moose -
but you'd better be heading for class, Tammy. I'm sure you wouldn't
want to be tardy."
"This is just fucking great," scowled Todd. He didn't know what it
was, but he was positive he'd be finding himself on more thin ice as
Tammy Winters than he ever would facing Moose as Todd Sommers.
Todd began walking slowly to his first class. He hoped he was going
in the right direction, because he had no idea where he was going.
"C'mon, Tammy. Shake a leg, girl," said Lisa as she passed. "We
don't want to be late for our first class again."
Todd smiled. Things were suddenly looking a lot brighter now. Even
though he was a girl now, he apparently had a class with Lisa.
One of the girls with Lisa stared dumbfounded at her before turning to
another of her friends. "I can't understand why Lisa lets her hang
out with us. It probably wouldn't be so bad if only she were a little
prettier. But Tammy's just so plain looking. I've seen girls in
grammar school with far better figures than hers."
Todd winced at what he'd just overheard. He didn't think his hearing
what he'd heard had been accidental. He couldn't even object to what
they'd said; the simple truth was everything they'd said was true.
Todd cursed silently. There were times he didn't understand his
friend. If Harry were going to make me a girl as well as his date for
the dance, then why couldn't he have made me better looking? I didn't
have to beautiful, but I certainly could have been better looking.
But on the other hand, looking as plain as I do means I won't be
fighting off any boys.
Harry, who had also heard the girl's callous remark, smiled broadly.
He knew that Todd/Tammy was in for a very interesting day.
Todd suddenly looked down at his hands. He wondered if his hands had
become this dainty and his fingers so slender when Harry had changed
him into Tammy for the rest of the world. He hadn't noticed them
earlier. Nor could he exactly recall when his fingernails had grown
so long or become so brightly painted.
* * * * * *
Todd followed Lisa to their class, although he wondered what class
they might have together. Even though Harry had told him he could
change things - they'd been to several X-rated movies after Harry had
sufficiently aged them, he'd never imagined that Harry could alter
reality as much as he'd just done. Very obviously, his friend had
kept more than a few things secret about the extent of his magical
powers.
Clearly everyone, except he and Harry of course, now believed he was
and had always been this girl Tammy Winters. But Todd Sommers must
still exist in their minds, he reasoned. After all Moose was still
looking for him. And even stranger, as he'd walked to class with
Lisa, a couple of boys had turned to take another look. But Todd
didn't think they were looking at him - at least he hoped not - since
he knew he was so plain. Besides he was with Lisa and her friends.
Walking into the classroom right behind Lisa, he mumbled, "Oh shit."
This was one of those more-useful-for-girls type classes - what did
they call it?
Home Ec.
It was a Home Economics class.
And from all the dummies - as in mannequins, not stupid people - he
saw standing around the room, he concluded it was probably some sort
of sewing class. He hoped he could get by without to doing any real
sewing. Never having picked up a needle before, Todd just knew he'd
have his hands full simply trying to thread one.
As Todd and Lisa sat down in desks side by side, Todd suddenly felt
odd. However he paid it little notice. He'd been feeling peculiar on
and off ever since Harry had transformed him into a girl. After
looking for additional alterations in his body, he was still relieved
at finding none. "Wouldn't it be just like Harry to make this form
he's given me somewhat unstable?" he muttered.
The bell rang.
And Todd saw the teacher, Mrs. O'Leary, look up and carefully peruse
the class. He suddenly wondered how he'd known her name; he'd never
even seen her before now.
Todd lowered his head hoping he could hide. He definitely didn't want
to be called on in this class. Everything he knew about sewing could
be easily stashed in a thimble - a very small thimble - and there
would still be plenty of room to spare.
But for some inexplicable reason, Todd began wondering if Harry's
spell might also keep adapting him to his continually changing
circumstances. If that were true, then it could mean his being in a
class like this with all these girls might make him more feminine.
"Do you have your assignment ready, Miss Winters?" asked Mrs. O'Leary.
No one answered.
"Miss Winters?"
Again no one answered.
"Earth to Miss Winters. Are you sleeping in my class again?"
The class giggled.
Lisa nudged Todd. "Is something wrong, Tammy?"
"No, I'm just fine," he replied. "I was just thinking about..." And
then he remembered he was now Tammy Winters in all of their eyes.
"I'm really sorry Mrs. O'Leary. I was thinking about something else;
I guess my mind just sort of wandered away for a couple of seconds."
"There's nothing unusual about that," said a girl.
The class snickered.
"I'll bet she's been trying to think up new ways of growing some
respectable boobs," said another girl.
The class erupted into laughter.
"That will be enough of that class," said Mrs. O'Leary sternly.
The class quickly quieted, but several more girls were now smiling
than had been smiling just a few minutes earlier.
"Stand up, Miss Winters."
"Yes, ma'am." Todd slowly rose to his feet. He wondered what torture
Mrs. O'Leary had in store for him.
"Since you obviously haven't done your assignment, Miss Winters,
you'll have to take your place as the living practice mannequin
today."
"Oh no," groaned a girl. "Not her. Anybody but her."
"This is just awful," said another girl. "This is unfair. It's more
of a punishment for us than it is for her."
"My little brother has a better figure than her," snarled yet another
girl.
"But he'll probably grow out of it," snapped another. "Wanna bet she
never will."
As the class roared with laughter, Todd's face flushed a bright beat
red.
"That's enough class," warned the teacher again.
"But,..." a girl began to object.
"No more buts. Another word and you all fail for the day." The class
grew still. "Given her appalling study habits, I've been expecting
we'd have to use Miss Winters sooner or later. I've prepared for that
eventuality." She reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a large
brown bag. After walking over to where Todd sat, she dropped the bag
on his desk. "Go into the other room and change into these, Miss
Winters."
"But Mrs. O'Leary," Todd began.
"You don't have another choice, Miss Winters. Any girl in my class
failing to do her assignments must do this at least once. And you'll
either do what I just told you to do or you'll fail this course and
have to repeat it." Mrs. O'Leary smiled. "And, just in case you
might have forgotten, I'm the only teacher in this entire district
that teaches this course."
"Okay, I'll do it." Todd felt thoroughly dejected; he couldn't win.
Although he didn't think he'd remain a girl long enough to actually
fail this course, he'd never failed a course before in his life and he
certainly wasn't about to start now just because he'd been changed
into a girl. After picking up the bag on his desk, Todd left the room
to a chorus of giggles from all the girls.
"And don't dawdle, Miss Winters."
- - - - - -
When Todd opened the bag and saw the clothes inside, he wondered if
Mrs. O'Leary might have a sadistic streak in her. Inside he found a
padded bra that, if nothing else, would make it appear he had more or
less average-sized boobs. He slid out of his own clothes, but as he
donned the padded bra, his own small nipples tingled strangely. After
he put on the blouse he'd taken from the bag, Todd looked down at his
chest. It seemed strange to see breasts - even those as average as
the padding made them appear - pushing out the fabric.
He stared at the panties; he'd never seen padded panties before. But
from the look of them, they were obviously intended to give him a
little more ass. He slid them, and then the skirt, on.
He looked at himself in the mirror. To his surprise, the clothes in
the bag had been almost exactly like the ones he'd been wearing. How
could Mrs. O'Leary have possibly known what he'd be wearing? But he
had to admit the total effect made him look better, even if it was
nothing more than padded fakery. He still wasn't some great ravishing
beauty, but then he didn't want to be one. It was too bad Harry
hadn't changed his body into someone who looked more like this
reflection.
But it was time for him to face Mrs. O'Leary's music, as well as the
hurtful laughter of the other girls.
But as Todd grabbed the doorknob and opened the door, he felt an odd
electrical shock unexpectedly course through his body. "Just what the
hell was that?" he asked, as he quickly pulled his hand away.
- - - - - -
"It's about time you returned," snapped Mrs. O'Leary. "Didn't I tell
you not to dawdle, Miss Winters?"
"Yes, ma'am. You did. I'm sorry I took so much time," replied Todd
apologetically. He was surprised when none of the girls made further
comment.
"Don't let it happen again, Miss Winters. Now sit down and we'll
continue today's."
Todd was suddenly confused. "But aren't I supposed to be the practice
mannequin today?"
The class giggled.
As Mrs. O'Leary glared at the class, the girls quickly quieted. "That
is a punishment, Miss Winters. Just what have you done today that
requires that particular punishment?"
"But I thought...
"And there's your problem right there, Miss Winters," scolded the
teacher. "You're not in this class to think; you're here to learn.
Now just sit down, Miss Winters! Quit thinking! And learn!"
"Yes, Mrs. O'Leary," he replied, as he sat back down in the seat next
to Lisa.
Lisa turned to him. "Is there something wrong, Tammy?" she whispered
with the obvious concern of a friend.
Todd shrugged his shoulders as he looked over at her. "I really don't
know, Lisa. But maybe we'd better talk about this after class."
Lisa smiled. "Okay, Tammy." But she was obviously very worried about
him.
For the rest of the class, Todd fidgeted in his seat. He didn't know
how - he saw nothing - but he could have sworn there were thousands of
ants in the seat with him. Even though he couldn't sit still for very
long, he was surprised that Mrs. O'Leary hadn't picked on him again.
But why had she stopped in the first place?
And why hadn't the other girls continued hassling him after he'd come
back?
Todd was relieved when the bell finally rang. He figured that
Mrs. O'Leary would make him change back into his own clothes on his
own time without writing him an excuse. But as he stood up, he felt
strange. Unbelievably, he'd felt his small breasts jiggle slightly
as he rose.
But how could that be? His breasts weren't big enough to jiggle.
Besides, if it were all padding, how could a padded bra possibly
jiggle?
And why did his butt suddenly feel so big?
Heading for the door, the way he walked felt peculiar. It almost felt
as if he were trying to throw his hip out of joint.
He looked over at Mrs. O'Leary, who - as was completely normal for her
after one of her classes ended - was totally ignoring him and every
other girl. But how had he known that about her?
Something else must have happened to him during class.
But what?
And, more importantly, when?
"Wait up, Tammy," said Lisa.
Todd turned and saw Lisa approaching him. Was Lisa taller or had he
become shorter? He wondered if she noticed anything different.
"Are you all right, Tammy?" asked Lisa. "You've been acting strangely
all day."
"I'm fine. Really," replied Todd. "Do I look any different to you,
Lisa?" he asked hesitantly.
"Are you sure you're all right?" Lisa sounded puzzled. "But to
answer your question - no, you don't look any different now than you
did earlier this morning." Lisa suddenly frowned. "Oh, Tammy. I'd
thought you'd finally got over this stupid obsession about the size of
your boobs. I mean sure, they're smaller than average, but there are
plenty of other girls in this school who'd just die to get boobs that
were even the size yours are."
"They're almost average-sized," mumbled Todd. After his hand quickly
shot up to his chest, he realized Lisa was right. He wasn't wearing
a padded bra, at all. What he felt hanging from his chest were real
honest-to-goodness tits - still small, but definitely a lot bigger
than they'd been when he'd walking into this class.
What had happened?
Todd pinched his larger butt - and he felt it. Obviously, the padded
panties he'd been given to wear were no longer padded. That was now
his real ass down there. No wonder the way he walked felt so strange.
"I have to go to my next class, Tammy," said Lisa, almost as if she
was afraid to leave him alone. "But I'm still really worried about
you. Will you meet me after school, so we can talk about whatever is
troubling you some more?"
"Of course," he smiled weakly. Although Todd was certain Lisa would
still recognize him after school, he had the oddest feeling he would
never recognize the girl meeting Lisa after school as the girl he
currently was.
* * * * * *
Todd was a happier camper leaving his second period history class than
he'd been leaving Home Economics. Whatever had triggered his last
change hadn't been repeated in History. He was pleased leaving class
exactly as he'd entered it. Even the way he walked felt perfectly
normal to him again.
Although he still didn't consider himself overly pretty, Todd had also
noticed several boys noticing him as he'd left class. Even though
their stares made him nervous, he was equally certain all of the boys
would deny checking him out.
At that moment, Todd decided he had to see what he looked like.
But where could he do that?
That was suddenly obvious.
Since I'm a girl, I should go to the girls' room, decided Todd. He
was certain if there were mirrors anywhere at this school he would
find them there. But first, he was suddenly hungry. And after all
he'd been through this morning, it was his snack time.
As he stood in the slow moving line, he wondered what he should order.
But once he finally got to the window he ordered simply - and to his
great surprise - "A raspberry yogurt, please."
Why had he ordered something like that?
He hated yogurt.
And he'd never been overly fond of raspberries.
"Ugh!" exclaimed the boy behind him. "How can you eat shit like
that?"
Todd turned around swiftly. "Because it's really good for my girlish
figure." He wondered where that answer had come from.
"If that's what makes you look so good, then maybe I should get my
girlfriend to eat some of it too," said a boy in the line next to his.
Todd wondered what that guy beside him had been talking about. Even
though he currently was a girl, he still considered himself more or
less average. Wasn't average how Lisa had described him earlier?
Still wondering why he'd ordered yogurt, Todd sat down at one of the
tables. He pulled the lid off the yogurt container. "Ugh," he
muttered. It looked so ... well, raspberryish. But he'd bought it
so he might as well try it. He took a small experimental taste.
Damn, he thought as he swallowed. This yogurt stuff was absolutely
delicious. Why had he never discovered something that tasted so
utterly fantastic before?
Without thinking about anything else, he gobbled down the rest of the
yogurt. But no sooner had he put the empty container down on the
table, he began feeling funny. As he watched in amazement, his waist
pulled in several inches. He wondered where those inches had gone
until he stood and found them again. They'd relocated to his hips.
"I wish I had as good a figure as you do," mumbled a passing girl.
"What just happened?" muttered Todd into the air.
But not waiting for an answer, Todd bolted for the nearest girls'
room. As he arrived, he found the room empty, which surprised him.
He'd always thought girls hung out in the girls' room to talk about
boys ... and other girl things.
Not knowing what to expect, he nervously looked into the mirror.
His dark brown hair was still long and stringy. Todd thought he
could still see a lot of his former male self in his altered face, but
that face still looked more girl than boy. His breasts, despite what
Lisa had told him earlier, were definitely larger than average. He
had a thin, almost waspish, waist, but he thought his hips looked
like bookshelves. And there was definitely a lot more to his ass now
than those padded panties could have ever left behind.
What had happened to him this time?
And suddenly it struck him.
It had to be the yogurt.
Hadn't he told that boy behind him that it was good for his girlish
figure? And immediately after eating it, he'd obviously gained this
fabulous girlish figure. "Damn it, Harry," he swore, as he realized
he'd probably be running into other subconscious keys all day. "You
had better be really careful about what you say," he told his
reflection. "Otherwise I wouldn't be surprised seeing you wind up the
spitting image of one of Harry's wet dreams." Todd slid a hand onto
one of his jutting hips, then frowned at his image in the mirror.
"Somehow I'll have to find some way of paying Harry back for all this
shit he's putting me through."
* * * * * *
Once again Todd didn't change during his next class - Geography.
Fortunately, nothing had been spoken or done to trigger another
change, although he had started feeling a little tingly when the
teacher began relating his experience of "going around the Horn" just
before the bell rang ending class. As one of his hands went to his
breast, Todd was relieved that the class had discussed the Alps last
week.
But he'd been greatly relieved when his English class had ended. Once
he'd found out they would be reading Shakespearean sonnets the whole
period, he'd been absolutely terrified that something read aloud would
trigger another change. However, Todd was almost certain nothing
about him had altered during English. Those sonnets had definitely
been arousing, but as thoroughly sexy as he felt leaving English, he
was convinced he hadn't felt any different before the class had
started. Besides, he felt really good for once. What could possibly
be wrong with him feeling so incredibly sexy?
He'd even survived lunch ... but just barely.
Some guy he didn't immediately recognize had casually walked up to him
and asked, "Did you know you're one really hot babe, Tammy?"
And before Todd could even attempt to deny it, he'd become one hot
babe to everyone else. Every boy near him suddenly turned and leered
at him with frighteningly obvious desire in each and every eye.
"How would you like to go to the dance with me tonight, babe?" asked
the stranger.
"I'm really sorry, Charley," said Todd, hoping this asshole - he'd
suddenly remembered his name was Charles Barker and that he thought
himself irresistible to women - would just go away and leave him
alone. "I already have a date for the dance, Charley. I'm going with
Harry Trelayne." But to himself he quickly added, although I'd much
rather be myself again and taking a girl.
"Maybe next time then, hot stuff," replied Charley, as he gave up and
skittered away.
Todd wondered if Charlie knew something about Harry's secret. Why
else would he have given up so quickly? Although he had no idea where
the knowledge came from, he just knew that it was like Charley Barker
to give up so quickly. Charley thought all girls loved him. But Todd
also began thinking it was very odd that none of the other guys came
by to talk to him - although they still made him quite uncomfortable
with their steady leers.
But several other boys, as they'd come out of their classes, had very
noticeably stared in his direction as he'd walked by himself to his
fifth period class.
Todd couldn't believe it.
He was sitting in a mathematics class.
What the hell was he doing in a mathematics class?
Plain and simple arithmetic had always confounded him. He'd always
had trouble adding two numbers together, even using his calculator.
And now, quite unbelievably, he was sitting in this class and
listening to a lecture on linear transformations. And, even more
unbelievably, he understood every word.
Todd closed his eyes and began thinking.
Maybe all of this also explained what was currently happening to him.
If his original body were called X, then the body into which Harry had
first changed him could then be represented as X'. Harry's spell
could also be described as a simple linear transformation function F
that simply mapped his old body X onto his new body X' - or in more
precise mathematical terms simply X' = F(X). But since he'd continued
changing after that first time, quite obviously the spell had been
recursively re-mapping his body. His X' body had been first mapped
onto X'' and then X'' onto X''' and potentially several others in an
infinite sequence that he simply had never recognized as they'd
happened to him.
It all made perfect sense.
That meant that all he had to do to keep from changing again - and
start down the road to foiling Harry's mysterious plan - was somehow
recognize the transformation function Harry had applied to his body.
He might even be able to reverse it; if a function F existed, then
its inverse function F' also existed. If F mapped his X body onto a
new X' form, then F' would have to re-map his X' body back onto his
original X form.
But could he, as mathematically challenged as he'd always been,
somehow do something like that? What if it wasn't a linear transform?
What if it were a quadratic? It might even be a complex function.
Todd's head ached with the possibilities. It certainly would be
easier if he didn't have to think about this problem for a while.
As the bell suddenly sounded ending class, Todd was jarred back to
reality from wherever he'd been. What had he just been thinking
about? His head throbbed. Although he knew there was something he
needed to do about something, whatever it was would have to wait until
after school. Having made the decision, his throbbing pain ceased.
He had another class before school ended for the day. But this last
class - he'd been both dreading and eagerly anticipating it ever since
Harry had first transformed him this morning - was Girls' Physical
Education.
But once in the girls' locker room, Todd was disappointed. Even
though he'd witnessed more naked female flesh than he'd ever expected
to see in his entire life while changing clothes, none of that naked
female flesh had done a thing for him. "Damn it, Harry," he mumbled
as he looked about the room. "This isn't fair." But somehow he'd
somehow managed to keep from having those thoughts that would have
betrayed him - if only to himself - by altering him still further.
It was an uneventful class. His female body wasn't in as great a
shape as his old male one had been. He didn't have time to think
about anything other than what he was doing. As a result, when PE
class finally ended, Todd breathed a huge sigh of relief at still
being himself - or more precisely, still being the girl he'd been
before class had started.
Todd stood in the shower letting the water strike his breasts. They
were so sensitive and every drop felt so incredibly wonderful. He'd
never felt anything as fantastic before. And equally wonderful were
the incredible sensations that flowed through him as he gently
lathered his breasts. His hands seemed so adept at caressing
them that he soon began feeling guilty about how good what he was
doing to himself made him feel.
Maybe my being a girl for a while won't be so bad after all, thought
Harry. If only I didn't have to go to the dance with Harry Trelayne,
things would be perfect. In spite of everything that had happened to
me, I'd still rather be my old self again and taking Lisa Stevens to
the dance.
But unfortunately, Todd was a girl at the moment. And he knew Lisa
didn't like other girls in that way.
Todd heard faint voices from the other shower stalls.
"She's not that much, Mary."
"You don't have to tell me, Annie. I can't understand why Harry's
taking her to the dance tonight."
"I can't either, Mary. Either of us would be far better choices for
Harry's date than she is."
Todd wondered what he'd ever done to them; he didn't even recognize
their voices. Maybe if went over and explained to them that he didn't
really want to go to the dance with Harry. But he doubted they would
believe anything he told them. How could he possibly tell them Harry
had these secret magical powers without sounding like a space case?
That was bad enough, but how could he tell them he was really a boy on
whom Harry had used those same powers to transform into this girl they
were so jealous of? Or that he'd also changed him into a girl just so
he could be his Fall Harvest date tonight?
The more he thought about what he had to tell them, the more he
doubted that anyone would believe him. Even though it was the
absolute truth, it was a totally unbelievable story.
Who would ever believe it?
Especially since Todd was certain - if it wasn't all happening to him
right now - that he never would have believed a single word of it.
"All she's really got going for her is that terrific body of hers."
"How true, Mary. She's sort of pretty, but she certainly isn't what
I'd call beautiful."
Todd's face grew red with anger just thinking about what he'd
overheard. Why do they always have to rub that in my face? I know
I'm not overly pretty as a girl. I just wish they'd quit reminding me
constantly how plain I am. Why can't I be even more beautiful than
both of them if that's what I want?
"And what about that stringy unruly mop she calls hair, Annie?"
"Disgusting, isn't it?"
Todd winced again. Why couldn't he have hair just as soft and silky
as theirs?
Suddenly, the shower grew quiet.
Todd realized he was alone.
"Oh shit," mumbled Todd. "What the hell have I just done to myself?"
Todd ran to the mirror on the wall. "God damn it!" he swore as he
looked at his reflection. "I've been so careful since I figured out
how to control what was happening to me. And now I've gone and fucked
things up royally."
There was absolutely nothing recognizable as the old Todd in his newly
altered face. It had not only become soft and decidedly feminine, but
his new face was also exceptionally beautiful. He'd become more
beautiful than Annie and Mary could ever dare hope to be. He was now
stunningly gorgeous.
And his hair was no longer stringy. It had become a full-bodied mass
that did nothing but further enhance his newly acquired physical
beauty.
Todd sighed with disgust; he didn't want to be gorgeous. But all of a
sudden, his face brightened. Maybe what just happened meant he could
cause other changes in himself? "I'm nothing but an ugly old wart!"
he shouted at the mirror.
But nothing happened.
Todd wasn't really surprised. Somehow he'd expected nothing would
happen. Every time he'd changed before had found him becoming more
and more attractive and feminine. It made sense - that is, if you
knew Harry - that his spell probably only activated on keys making him
increasingly more attractive to Harry. Todd also realized that he
wasn't very likely to be himself again until after Harry got tired of
playing this inane little game of his.
Todd quickly dressed. As he made his way to the door, he looked at
himself in the mirror again. "I really can't believe this shit has
happened to me." Todd was a real beauty now; he was even beautiful
enough to be thought one of those incredible sexy girls he'd always
seen chasing after Harry. "What a horrible thought," muttered Todd,
as he decided he had to find some place to hide before something else
happened to him.
As he left the locker room, he only hoped Lisa would still be waiting
for him as she'd said she would. Even though she'd very likely think
him insane, he really had to talk to someone about the things Harry
was doing to him.
* * * * * *
Todd began smiling as he approached the school's front gate and saw
Lisa waiting patiently for him. He saw her smile back warmly as soon
as she saw him. Damn, thought Todd. I sure wish I were still a man
so Lisa might be interested in me.
"Hi Lisa."
"Hi yourself. I'd begun wondering if you'd forgotten about meeting
me."
"I guess I took a little longer in the gym than I'd been expecting."
Lisa smiled. "I guess I can understand that - I really hate smelling
sweaty." They started walking in the general direction of home - he
and Lisa only lived a few blocks apart. "So are you going to tell me
what's wrong with you or not?"
"There's nothing wrong with me," replied Todd defensively.
"That's total bullshit, Tammy, and we both know it."
"You won't believe me."
"Just try me, Tammy. We're still friends, aren't we?"
"Of course we are, Lisa." But Todd still looked dubious; he wasn't
sure he could tell her what he had to tell her. "Do I look any
different to you than I did this morning?"
"What a weird question," replied Lisa. "But to answer it in a single
word - no. You look exactly the same as you did this morning."
"And what about yesterday?"
"What is wrong with you, Tammy?" asked Lisa. "You're still the same
beautiful girl you were yesterday... and before you ask... the day
before that and the day before that and all the years I've known you.
Now are you going to tell me what's wrong?"
Todd decided he'd had to take the chance. "What would you say if I
told you I was really a boy?"
Lisa gave him a funny look. She began wondering what could have
happened to her friend that made her so delusional. "That's just
impossible, Tammy. You're a girl. You've been a girl for as long as
I've known you. And I certainly think I would have noticed something
that out of the ordinary during one of our many sleepovers over the
years. Or don't you think I would have noticed if you were a boy?"
"I guess you would have," replied Todd. "But I told you up front you
wouldn't believe me."
"Even if I don't believe you were once a boy, I believe you believe
it. So tell me, Tammy, if you're really a boy as you claim, just how
do you think you suddenly became a girl?"
Arriving outside his parents' house, Todd tried changing the subject.
"Will I see you at the dance later?"
"You're not getting off that easy, Tammy," replied Lisa. "Let's go
up to your room so we can finish this little discussion we've started
in private."
"Do we have to, Lisa?"
"No, of course, we don't have to, Tammy. But I only want to help you
get over your problem. And if we don't talk about it right now, I'm
afraid I'll have to tell one of those outside counselors at the school
about this. And you know how weird they can be sometimes."
Todd nodded. Trying to tell her the truth hadn't turned out to be
such a good idea after all. "Let's go up to my room, Lisa," he agreed
in resignation.
Todd was taken aback as he entered his room. Although he knew this
was, and had always been, his room, it wasn't really his room. This
didn't look anything like his room; this was now a girl's room full of
all sorts of girl things.
But Lisa entering behind him didn't seem to notice anything out of the
ordinary about his transformed room. She shut the door, the locked
it. "We don't need to be disturbed," she told him. "So how do you
think you became a girl, Tammy?"
"It's all because of Harry Trelayne," said Todd. He'd started to tell
her the truth outside; she might just as well hear the rest of the
unbelievable truth now.
Lisa looked confused. "Just how could your becoming a girl even
remotely be your boyfriend's fault?"
When had Harry become his boyfriend? This kept getting worse all the
time. But he couldn't worry about any of that now. "Harry has these
magical powers that no one knows he has. He used them to change me
into a girl this morning," replied Todd. "I think Harry must be some
kind of witch."
"Let me see if I have this straight, Tammy. Up until sometime this
morning you were really a boy. And Harry's some kind of a witch?"
"I knew you wouldn't believe me," said Todd dejectedly.
"But even you must admit that your explanation's kind of hard to
swallow. Assuming just for argument's sake that Harry has these
magical powers you claim he has, why would he want to change any boy
into a girl? I know plenty of girls that would love to be dating
him; he doesn't need to change a boy into a girl to get a date."
Todd's face reddened with embarrassment. "I know that, Lisa. But it
wasn't exactly what I was expecting him to do, but I guess I sort of
asked him to do it."
Lisa gave him an odd smile. "And why would you have done something
like that?"
"I was trying to escape from your boyfriend Moose earlier this
morning," replied Todd. "He saw me talking to you. I really thought
he was going to kill me."
"That's utter nonsense, Tammy. My Moosey would never think of hurting
you. You know that," said Lisa. "I know he can get really jealous
sometimes. But it's only when he sees other guys talking to me that
he turns ballistic. Although it is kind of cute, it does get rather
old after a while. But trust me on this, Tammy, you have nothing to
worry about from my Moosey."
"But that's just the point, Lisa," argued Todd. "That's exactly why
Harry changed me into Tammy. He knew Moose would never hurt me if I
were a girl."
"Did you know you're really tense right now, Tammy? Why don't you let
me rub your neck - maybe it'll help you mellow out a big." After Lisa
stepped behind Todd, she began rubbing his neck. "Doesn't that feel
much better, Tammy?"
"It sure does," sighed Todd. He wished he could have his old penis
back, but he knew that wasn't very likely to happen, since a girl with
his former penis would never appear overly attractive to Harry. But
as Lisa continued her massage, Todd began feeling aroused. As his
excitement continued increasing, his new female crotch also grew
increasing more damp.
Lisa leaned over and began nibbling gently on Todd's neck.
"What are you doing, Lisa?" asked Todd in surprise.
"Don't worry about anything, lover," replied Lisa as she continued
nibbling on his neck
Lover thought Todd? When had that happened? "But what about Moose?"
he stuttered as Lisa began undoing his blouse.
"What about him? He's always going to be my big cuddly wuddly moosey
woosey." Lisa's hands slipped down to Todd's exposed breasts. She
began gently caressing them. "But Moosey could never ever be the
girlfriend you are to me, Tammy dear."
Oh shit, thought Todd. What the hell have I done now? But it was a
thought that, wrapped up in all the pleasure Lisa was giving his new
body, seemed to take hours to form. I just wanted to be a man again
so Lisa would love me. But Harry's damn spell couldn't make me a man
again, so it must have somehow turned Lisa into a lesbian. But Lisa's
continual sensual caressings of his breasts quickly drove his more
rational thoughts away.
Lisa nibbled on Todd's ear. "I really wish you had bigger boobies for
me to play with, Tammy dear," she whispered in his ear. "And I've
always thought you'd look much better with blonde hair and deep blue
eyes."
"I'll be anything you want me to be, Lisa," he whispered back without
thinking about what either of them was saying.
Lisa suddenly pulled him closer to her. As she kissed him deeply, her
tongue was like an exploratory probe. But after feeling the girl in
her embrace suddenly shudder, she unexpectedly pulled back from the
surprised Todd. "I'll see you later at the dance, lover. Right now,
I must go home so I can get ready for my Moosey."
Todd watched dumbfounded as Lisa flittered out the door. How could
she just leave like that? But he wondered what else had happened
here? "As often as I've wanted Lisa," he mumbled to himself, "I never
would have believed I could have her by becoming a sexy girl."
Knowing he'd also have to start getting ready for his date with Harry,
Todd turned, then gasped once he saw his reflection in the mirror.
"Holy fucking shit!" groaned Todd. It had been bad enough when he'd
left the girls' locker room, but he'd never considered it could still
get worse.
He'd changed again. Not unexpectedly, he was still a girl - but now
he was a lot more girl than he'd been before. He had long silky
blonde hair that reached the tops of his ass cheeks. But even worse
than being a blonde - he now had a huge pair of tits, each of them
easily as large as a basketball.
Todd stared at his reflection. "This is impossible." He shook his
head in stunned disbelief. "Well obviously, it can't be impossible.
If it were, then I wouldn't be standing here looking right at them."
"Well go ahead and touch them," said a girl's voice.
"What?" replied Todd in surprise. A quick scan of his room told him
he was alone.
"I said go ahead and touch them. We both know you want to touch them.
And they won't bite you, you know."
Todd swiftly looked around his room again, but he still could find no
one else with him.
"What the hell are you waiting for? Just go ahead and touch them,
you stupid dweeb. Just run those soft dainty hands of yours gently up
and down all over your ample breasts; you can even tweak one of your
nipples if you'd like. Take my word for it, Todd, you'll feel a whole
lot better for doing it."
"Where are you?" asked Todd nervously. "And who are you?"
"I'm right here, silly. And I'm you - or rather I'm the girl you."
"You're the girl me?"
"That what I said, wasn't it? I'm the girl you. Or I suppose you
could be the boy me. I'm Tammy, Todd. I'm the one of us who really
likes boys."
"You're here right now because of Harry. Aren't you, Tammy?" Todd
was growing more and more nervous. He decided he must have gone over
the deep end; he was having a conversation with his female self.
Todd heard a decidedly female giggle. "You worry too much about
everything, Todd. You're just as sane as I am."
"Somehow that doesn't make me feel much better, Tammy."
Tammy ignored him. "As far as Harry Trelayne's concerned, who the
fuck really needs him. Even though he's responsible for giving us
this really great body, I still can't understand why you ever agreed
to go to the Fall Harvest dance with someone like him. You must know
we can do a helluva lot better than him; he's not really our type, you
know."
"But that wasn't my fault, Tammy. It must have been something in that
stupid transformation spell he cast on me. It must have impaired my
judgment. Otherwise, I would have never agreed to be his date."
"At least you appear to have some taste in men."
Todd looked at the clock radio on his dresser. "Oh shit. Where has
all the time gone?"
"You know what they say, don't you Todd? Time always seems to fly,
whenever you're having fun. And you sure seemed to be having fun
earlier."
"I don't think I'm having that much fun," replied Todd. "But it's
getting late, and I still must get ready for the dance."
"Why bother?" snapped Tammy. "You don't really want to go; so don't
go. Just stay home and be happy."
"But Harry would get pissed at me," countered Todd. "And then he'd
probably change me into something worse than a girl."
"I resent that crude remark, Todd," said Tammy. "You may not like the
thought of being a girl, but I've always rather enjoyed being one."
"I'm sorry about that, Tammy. I didn't mean anything by it. I just
opened my mouth without thinking again. But with what I've seen
today, I think Harry could easily change me into a large woolly
aardvark or possibly even an alpaca sweater."
"You know, Todd, I really think we'd look totally hot in an alpaca
sweater."
"I'm sure we would," replied Todd, as he looked into the mirror once
again. "But that's not the point, Tammy. I'm afraid Harry could just
as easily change me into one of those sanitary napkins put on toilet
seats."
"Eew! How awful!" exclaimed Tammy. "I wouldn't like that at all.
But now that you've explained it that way, I can see your point.
Maybe you'd better get ready to have a good time with Harry tonight
whether you really want to or not."
"How can I do that? I don't know anything about getting ready for a
date as a girl. What can I possibly do with any of that girl stuff
sitting on my dresser?"
"But that must be why I'm here, Todd. I know just about everything
anyone has ever known about wearing makeup. All you'd have to do is
let me take over our body so I could get us ready for our date."
"That's all I have to do?" asked Todd skeptically. "But once we're
all ready, you'll return full control of my body to me?"
"Of course I will, Todd."
"You wouldn't lie to me would you, Tammy?"
"Lie? Me? Now I'm really hurt, Todd. How could I ever hope to lie
to you? After all, I am you."
"Oh yeah, that's right; you're really me. I keep forgetting about
that. I guess it'll be all right if you take control of my body for
just a little bit. What do I have to do for you to take over, Tammy?"
Todd suddenly stiffened.
"That's definitely much better," said Tammy, as she stretched her arms
over her head. She was now in full control of their body's every
functions.
"Wow! This feels really weird," said Todd. "I feel - almost
disembodied."
"Now just watch me and learn, Todd."
Quicker than Todd thought humanly possible, Tammy had applied her
makeup, brushed her blonde hair, and slid into her new gown. Todd
wondered how he'd known his breasts would be as large as they'd
become when he'd bought that gown last week. But from where had
that thought come? He hadn't even been a girl last week.
"Don't I look absolutely gorgeous?" Tammy posed in front of the
mirror. "Don't you think I look totally hot, Todd?"
"You... I mean I... certainly do look great." The doorbell rang.
"That must be Harry arriving to pick me up, Tammy. You need to let
me take over my body again."
"I've been thinking about that and I don't really think so, Todd,"
replied Tammy with a mischievous grin. "You've already told me you
wouldn't have a good time tonight, so I've decided I'll go and spare
you a night you'd probably want to forget anyway."
"But you promised me, Tammy."
"So I lied. And don't go running off into a corner of my mind pouting
about it either. It's not as if it's the first time you've ever lied
to yourself." The doorbell rang again. "I'll be right there, Harry.
And by the way, Todd, I'll let you watch all you want tonight, but I
don't want you disturbing me all night. I've decided to turn your
audio control way down so I won't have to listen to you piss and moan
all night while I'm trying to have a good time."
"You can't do that."
"Of course I can, Todd. You're just so incredibly naive," smiled
Tammy. "Whichever of our personas controls our body has complete
control over it. And the one in control can do just about whatever
they want with the other persona. I'm surprised you didn't know
you could do that." Tammy strolled down to meet Harry. "But just so
you won't start worrying, Todd, as soon as I can I'm dumping this bozo
you saddled with me."
"But why?" asked Todd, although he suddenly knew Tammy hadn't heard
a word from him.
"I'm sure you've started wondering 'why' by now, Todd. It's simple
and you've always been very predictable. I don't really like Harry;
he's probably the biggest pain in the ass I've ever had the misfortune
of knowing. I've set my sights on bigger fish tonight. By the time I
leave the dance, I'll have that handsome hunk Hank "Big Moose"
Williams eating out of the palm of my hand.
"Oh shit, not Moose," moaned Todd. "Anybody else, but Moose."
After Tammy opened the door, she gave Harry a big welcoming kiss.
"Oh my," moaned Todd silently. Although his thoughts might be cut
off from reaching her, Tammy definitely hadn't decreased any of his
other input senses. He was afraid she might have increased them.
Harry smiled. "You certainly seem to be full of surprises tonight,
Tammy."
And Tammy smiled back. More than you know, she thought. And you
don't know the half of it yet, big boy.
* * * * * *
Tammy was clinging all over Harry as they entered the gymnasium where
the Fall Harvest dance was being held. Boys stared at her for the
obvious lust-filled reasons; she loved it. Girls also stared at her,
just as obviously jealous of her; she loved it.
And as soon as she saw Moose, she made a beeline for him.
"Hi Tammy," said Lisa with a smile. "You look great tonight."
"I know," replied Tammy.
"So how are ..."
"Do you want to dance with me, Moose?" interrupted Tammy with a wicked
grin.
"But I'm here with Lisa." Moose sounded confused, which wasn't overly
unusual for him around girls other than Lisa.
"I'm sure she won't mind if you dance with me." Tammy turned to her
friend. "Will you, Lisa dear?"
Lisa dear, she thought? Suddenly Lisa was feeling very confused
herself. "I guess I don't mind." She turned to her date. "Tammy's
my friend. If you really want to dance with her go ahead."
"Okay, I'll dance with her," replied Moose, as he took Tammy's hand
and led her out to the dance floor.
Lisa was very puzzled by Moose's actions. Even as she watched them
head out to the dance floor, she would have never guessed that her
Moosey would actually want to dance with Tammy. And she just knew
there was still something very wrong with Tammy.
"Is something wrong, Lisa?"
"I don't really know, Harry. I sure hope not."
"I don't know about you, but I was certainly surprised Tammy asked
Moose to dance. He's never seemed all that comfortable when she was
around. And she knows Moose is your boyfriend, but she almost knocked
people down getting over here."
"I was more surprised he actually accepted," replied Lisa. "That's
just not like Moose at all." She glanced over at the dancing couple.
"Harry, have you noticed anything strange about Tammy lately?"
"Strange? What do you mean?"
"I can't put my finger on anything in particular, but she's been
acting really strange all day. And she was supposed to meet me right
after school - I waited around for her for over an hour, but she never
showed up."
"That is strange," replied Harry. "It doesn't sound like Tammy at
all." But then, Harry also knew that Lisa would be more confused if
she talked to Tammy and found out she thought they'd spent the whole
afternoon after school together. "How about a dance, Lisa?"
"I'd better not," said Lisa. "I wouldn't want Moose getting angry at
you and spoiling the whole dance for everybody else."
"He's dancing with my date, Lisa. I should be able to dance with his.
Isn't that fair?"
"I guess, Harry. But are you really sure?" asked Lisa. "As gentle as
Moose is with me, you know how angry he can get if I just talk to
another boy."
"I know, but I'm a big boy," smiled Harry. "I think I can take care
of myself."
"Okay, then. But don't say I didn't warn you, Harry," replied Lisa
hesitantly, even as he led her out to the dance floor.
As Harry and Lisa danced, he closely observed Moose and Tammy. Just
knowing that the little bimbo slut he'd helped his friend Todd Sommers
become had the hots for Moose made him smile - Tammy would have never
existed if it hadn't been for Moose. He wondered if Tammy would ever
realize just how much she'd helped him tonight. Another little
unobtrusive spell sent in their direction should finally break up
Moose and Lisa once and for all. And he'd never have to consider Todd
Sommers a rival - not that he ever had.
As they danced, Tammy slid her arms around Moose's neck. As she
started pulling him closer to her, he resisted her advances ... for
nearly a whole minute. And when their lips finally met, it was
suddenly Moose, much to Tammy's delight, becoming the aggressor in
the situation.
Harry maneuvered Lisa so she could see her boyfriend and his date's
passionate embrace and kiss. In near shock, Lisa stopped dancing with
Harry and slowly walked towards Moose and Tammy.
As soon as Lisa cleared her throat, the hall quieted. Tammy and Moose
slowly pulled back from one another.
"Is there something wrong, Lisa dear?" grinned Tammy. Taking Moose
away from Lisa had been a far simpler task than she'd anticipated.
"You goddamn bitch!" swore Lisa. "I thought you were my friend."
"Surprise, surprise," grinned Tammy wickedly.
Lisa lifted her hand and moved to slap Tammy's face, but unexpectedly
Moose caught her arm and stopped her.
"I can't let you hit my new girlfriend, Lisa. That wouldn't be very
nice of you."
"Your new girlfriend?" she asked in shock. Lisa glared spikes at
Tammy. "What did you do him?" She turned to Moose. "And when did
she become your girlfriend?"
Moose looked at Lisa feeling helplessly confused. "I don't really
know, Lisa." He looked at Tammy for a little help. "I guess it just
sort of did somehow."
"But I love you, Moose," said Lisa, tears beginning to run down her
cheek. "I've never really known why I love you, but I always have.
And I thought you loved me, Moose."
Moose stepped towards Lisa. "I thought I did too, Lisa." Moose
suddenly shook his head and wondered what was wrong with him. This
wasn't right at all. He knew he should be with Lisa, not Tammy.
"Oh no you don't, lover boy," snapped Tammy as she quickly grabbed
Moose's arm. "You're with me now, lover. She's nothing more to you
than ancient history."
Moose slowly turned back to Tammy. "Yes, Tammy," he replied almost
mechanically. He took Tammy in his arms and kissed her passionately.
A very hurt and stunned Lisa turned away. Why was Moose doing this,
she wondered? What had Tammy done to him?
"I'm sorry about all this, Lisa. I don't know what to say."
"It's not your fault, Harry. Will you take me home?"
"If that's what you want."
"Ladies and gentleman, may I please have your attention," boomed a
voice from the speakers.
"What now?" sniffled Lisa.
"As a guess, it's probably the announcement of the Fall Harvest King
and Queen. Don't you remember? They always crown a King and Queen to
preside over the Fall Harvest dance."
"That's just what I need to hear right now. I don't think I could
bear watching that conniving bitch get crowned - unless it was with a
boulder-sized brick - after she did this."
"Maybe Tammy won't win," suggested Harry. "Weren't you nominated for
Queen this year?"
"Yeah, there were three of us - Tammy, me, and some other girl, but
I don't remember her name. But the two of us were just for show;
everybody's known for months that Tammy was going to win.
"We have the results of the ballots for Queen and King of the this
year's Fall Harvest dance," boomed out the speakers. "First, we'll
announce your new Queen. After a brief crowning ceremony the new King
will be introduced. Then, as is dictated by our solemn and proud
traditions, the new King and Queen will begin the next dance. And the
newest Queen of the Fall Harvest is ---"
Time, and every one in the room, suddenly froze.
Except for the two figures that no one noticed entering only a few
minutes earlier.
"I just can't believe it, Mary. Despite being warned, Harry still
went ahead and did it anyway."
"I know dear, but our Harry's always been a bit stubborn about the
things he wants."
"He must have got that from your mother, I suppose."
"And don't forget that overly generous second helping he got from
your father, James," his lovely wife reminded him. Mary walked over
to the frozen Lisa. "You know, dear, she is rather pretty for a mere
normal."
"Our son certainly has good taste; even if his judgment is somewhat
impaired."
"They told us we had to fix things here. Regardless of what Harry
wants, Lisa was always meant to be with Hank. And we both know that
changing things that were never meant to be other than what they were
can be totally disastrous."
"That's so true, Mary. And quite fortunately for our wayward son,
things will go much smoother for him, since They have allowed us to
fix things as we see best. Can you begin to imagine what They might
have done to him, if we, his own parents, let him get away with
something like this?"
"I doubt Harry would have enjoyed being a jackass, but we'll still
have to suitably punish him, James. He's just never seemed to
understand about the sanctity of true love." Mary walked over to
the frozen Tammy. "She's also kind of pretty for a normal, but she's
most definitely a little overboobed for my taste."
"It appears our boy has inherited his father's eye for beauty," beamed
James.
"There's no doubt about that, dear," replied Mary, as she took
another, much closer, look at Tammy. "I don't believe this. How
could our boy ever think he'd get away with something like this,
James?"
"With what, dear?"
"Just take a real close look at her. Harry knows better than this.
Can't you see it, dear? This little trollop knows all about his
powers. How'd he ever hope to get away with disclosing that to a
normal? How many times was he told They didn't approve of that?"
"It's not really an insurmountable issue, dear." James looked over at
Tammy. "It would be no real problem for either of us to just wipe her
memory clean and let her start her life over. I also think a little
breast reduction spell would be in order."
"There might be an even better way, dear," smiled Mary. "He would
learn about the sanctity of love, while our boy would learn a thing or
two about responsibility that he's obviously failed to learn along the
way. You know there is only one way they would ever sanction some
normal having knowledge of Harry's powers."
"Isn't that a little drastic, Mary. I'm not sure our son is ready
for marriage. But on the other hand, he really has been inexcusably
irresponsible this time. Being married should help straighten him
out."
"Then we're agreed on his punishment?"
"I believe we are, Mary. What we've decided on won't hurt him. And
in the long run, he'll become a better person."
"One or two?" asked Mary.
"Two would be better than one," replied James. "But I was thinking
three might be the best. Since he'll still have full use of his
powers but be living primarily as any other normal, I think three
normal decades should be a sufficient amount of time for Harry to
see the error of his ways."
"I agree with you, dear. Three decades would probably be the best."
"That was certainly easy, Mary. And They must approve or we would
have heard from Them by now." James smiled as he looked over what he
and his wife had done. "And since we've now made our changes to this
reality, shall we take our leave, my dear?"
"Of course, my love," replied Mary. "You know how much I hate to
dawdle among mere normals."
As James and Mary Trelayne exited through the wide doors of the
school's gymnasium, time restarted.
"--- May I have the envelope, please," came through the speaker. "The
winner - the Queen of the Fall Harvest dance - is Holly Trelayne."
"I really won; I can't believe it." Holly smiled, even as tears of
happiness rolled down her cheeks. It's just so incredible she
thought. I won. And I didn't even have to use my powers even once to
be named the Fall Harvest Queen. But I thought she'd... Holly's
current train of thought suddenly stopped. She turned and hugged her
best friend and closest competitor Lisa Stevens.
"Congratulations, Holly. I just knew you'd win."
And Moose,
