Part 1
Thirty two year old Lyndsay McDonald was irritated at her
thirteen year old son Todd. The boy was so irresponsible.
She sighed. Why couldn't she handle him as well as the 32
employees under her at work?
"Todd," she snapped, "look at me when I talk to you!"
Sullenly Todd glanced up at his beautiful auburn hair
mother. His friends, at least the few he was allowed to
bring home, thought she was beautiful. She had a great
figure and striking eyes so it was easy for them to
overlook the determined chin.
"Yes, mother," Todd responded half-heartedly.
"Todd," Lyndsay lectured, "you will never get anywhere in
life if you do not apply yourself."
"Yes, mother," Todd repeated with a slight roll of his
eyes, having heard this a number of times before.
Without seeming to notice Todd's reaction, Lyndsay
continued, "I didn't get be to be comptroller of Williams
Industries by lounging around playing with my computer all
day. I did it by hard work and getting all A's."
Again, Todd repeated, "Yes, mother."
"Very well then," Lyndsay told her son, "I want to see
better grades on your next report guard... like all A's!"
"But mom," Todd started to protest.
"The only 'butts' around here are from my cigarettes, young
man," Lyndsay interrupted firmly, "It would be different if
you couldn't do the work, but all your teachers say you can
get all A's instead of B's and C's if you applied yourself.
Todd, I won't have you turn into a slacker like your
worthless father."
Todd seethed with inner resentment. But he just said, "I
will try and do better. And as for the computer, mom...
even you say I am really good at it."
"It's not enough, Todd," Lyndsay finished, "well I've had
my say and I don't want to harp on it."
'Of course not!' Todd thought sarcastically, but didn't
dare say it aloud.
Lyndsay took out a long slim cigarette from her gold case.
"Tuna casserole is in the oven."
Todd hated Tuna with a passion, but his mother thought he
was just being silly when he didn't want to eat it! Why in
hell couldn't he have a pizza every once in a while? And he
hated his mom smoking. It irritated his sinuses.
"Do you have to smoke inside?" Todd grumbled.
"I feel like a cigarette," Lyndsay half growled with
irritation, "and it's MY house, young man. See to it that
you remember that." She puffed and then sighed. "Look,
dear, I'm sorry if I come on too strong. I know sometimes
am a bitch, but it's hard being a single mother with a
career. You need to try and understand me, Todd."
Todd greatly daring said, "And you need to understand me,
Mom."
Suddenly and unexpected she grinned a rare grin. "I
understand you very well! Don't think I don't."
"Well I do think it," Todd muttered under his breath.
"What did you say young man?" she demanded, angry that her
attempt to bridge the gap had failed.
The doorbell rang, just in time Todd thought. "That must be
Jordan," Lyndsay announced, "Now I will be back late, maybe
even tomorrow morning. But just because I am not here
doesn't mean you can slack off on your homework."
Todd nodded reluctantly. She checked everything. His mother
was obsessed with him going to Harvard, regardless of what
he thought. He hated snob schools. He just wanted to go to
University of Chicago and study computers, but his mother
didn't want to hear that. NO money in that. No CEO was ever
chosen from a computer wiz. Maybe Todd thought that he
should remind her of Bill Gates, not that it would do any
good.
His mother composed herself to smile welcomingly and
gestured impatiently for Todd to open the door. Jordan came
in and shook his hand and smiled. Todd really liked him and
hoped his mother would marry the guy... not that would do
poor Jordan any favors. But Jordan was a super nice guy and
it would be great to have him as a dad.
"Good to see you, Dear." Lyndsay greeted Jordan. He came
over and kissed her making Lyndsay's smile winder. Jordan
was a great kisser.
Jordan turned back to Todd and smiled kindly, "Hey, Todd.
I've got something for you tonight. A pizza with the works!
You can get it out of my car!"
"Great!" Todd cried out excitedly. His mother never got him
anything that was fun to eat, just stuff that she thought
was good for him. 'Gag me!' he thought to himself as he
dashed out the door.
Lyndsay tried not to frown, "I wish you wouldn't spoil him
like this, Jordan."
He kissed her again, seemingly unaffected by her
disapproval, "Be reasonable, Lynn. We're going out for
dinner, so why shouldn't poor Todd get a treat as well?"
Lyndsay wisely let it go. Her son came in with a wide
smiling carrying a huge pizza.
"Todd," Lyndsay told him, "take the tuna out of the oven
and put it in the refrigerator for dinner tomorrow."
Todd hardly heard her as he dashed into the kitchen and
started scarfing down the pizza, intensely grateful for the
reprieve.
---
At the restaurant, they had the best table and great
service. The waiters and owners didn't want a repeat of the
first visit by Ms. McDonald, where she had ruthlessly
dressed down the entire staff for poor food and service.
Lyndsay sat back and relaxed, truly enjoying being with
Jordan. Her man was so charming and always succeeded in
making her feel very feminine. It was great to have him
care for her, as it always was. And of course, she knew
that she turned him on just as much as he did her.
Later that night, Lyndsay and Jordan they went to his home
and made love. Lyndsay was taken out of herself, and the
passion was very welcome.
Lyndsay later lay with Jordan, warmly comforted in his
arms, though he was asleep and she was having a smoke. She
slowly looked around, thoughtfully taking in all of her
surroundings. She rather liked Jordan's house, even though
she thought it a little too eccentric for her tastes.
However, Jordan had designed and built it himself, and
doing quite a job as he was one of the leading architects
in the country.
Then Lyndsay's thoughts changed direction as she started
calculating the chances of Jordan proposing to her. It
would be nice to have a husband again. Then she frowned,
realizing that yes, it would be very nice, but she would
have to allow him a major share in decision making. Could
she do that that? As smart as he was, Lyndsay knew herself
to be his superior and that she was better suited to making
those decisions. And of course, Jordan also spoiled Todd.
The boy needed discipline, not indulgences. She honestly
didn't know what she would say if Jordan DID propose.
Decisions, always decisions she thought as she finally fell
asleep.
---
Todd was not surprised to wake up home alone that Saturday.
He didn't mind though as he loved quiet Saturday mornings.
In other words a Saturday morning... hell, any morning that
he didn't have to listen to his mother's voice nagging at
him was great. Sure, lots of time she was right... but
sometimes she was wrong too, though she'd never admit it.
His mother never listened, and seemed almost incapable of
accepting that she could possibly be wrong about ANYTHING.
After Todd made himself pancakes and started to head to his
computer, he hurried back to the table and cleaned up after
himself. The last thing he wanted was a 20 minute lecture
on tiding after himself, which he already knew by heart.
Thank God they had a maid who came in three times a week.
Mom would really be impossible without Juanita!
Just then, the doorbell rang and Todd answered it to find
that it was the mailman with a delivery. It was a package
from the American embassy in Saudi Arabia. As Todd stared
at it, he wondered if it had anything to do with his late
father. His father had died several months ago in the
desert, searching for King Solomon's mines! The authorities
thought he might have been murdered, but hadn't found
enough evidence to prove it.
"Just like him!" Todd's mother had said with her usual tack
and lack of emotion.
Todd felt he should feel sorry, but his dad was only a
vague memory. His mom and dad had quarreled constantly,
from the way his grandparents told him. And then, his dad
had left when Todd was only 4. Not that Todd blamed him. He
was hoping to escape from his mom's clutches himself the
instant he turned 18.
Then Todd broke out of his thoughtful state and decided to
read the cover letter.
"Mrs. McDonald," Todd read, then grinned to himself. His
mother would LOVE that. She hated to be called Mrs.
McDonald.
"These are some effects of your late husband," Todd
continued to read. "They were found in storage and we are
forwarding them to you. We at the embassy feel your loss
with you."
Sure, her loss! What a joke, Todd thought to himself. She
was openly glad not to have to worry about dealing with him
again. Not for the first time, Todd wished that his mother
wasn't so cold hearted. Success and money were her twin
Gods.
Todd rooted through the stuff, quickly deciding that it was
pretty cool, or at least some of it was. He rummaged
through the box and found several small statues, a few old
coins and a strange crystal ball or orb. The crystal ball
was beautiful finished and had obviously taken a bit of
work. It looked like the moon, as under its surface were
the creators and moonlike shadows. There was also a strange
writing on the base.
"Wow!" Todd exclaimed excited, "Super cool!"
He was still examining it when his mom walked in with a,
"What's this mess on the table?"
Todd hastened to explain, and afterwards, Lyndsay nodded
then came over and went through the box as well. She had
changed clothes at Jordan's, having kept a sizeable
wardrobe there. At the moment, she wore dark slacks that
were tucked into high shiny boots and a military type
jacket. As usual, she wore a power type outfit, even
dressed casually.
"I guess some of this junk might be worth... something,"
Lyndsay muttered, "I'll take it and have it appraised next
week."
"Mom," Todd asked hopefully, "can I have the crystal ball?"
Lyndsay frowned, then corrected "MAY, I have it?"
Todd sighed, "MAY I have it?"
"I suppose so," Lyndsay mused, deciding that it probably
wasn't worth much anyway. "Now let's see your homework."
Todd got his homework out with a marked lack of enthusiasm.
His mother was way worse than the worst of his teachers.
She ripped what he had done to shreds, as she often did,
leaving Todd to do it all over again.
There went Saturday afternoon. Sunday however, he was
allowed to play touch football with some guys he knew. He
hardly had any friends, and these were about his closest.
At best, Todd knew he was slightly above average at sports,
but he usually had fun. His coaches told him he could be
better if he was more determined and worked harder at it.
But he really wasn't interested. He just enjoyed playing.
That night Jordan came over for dinner and Todd made most
of it. His mother was at work so much he had, of necessity,
turned into a pretty good chef. Todd even downloaded new
recipes to his computer, and had been eager to show off one
of them to Jordan.
Todd always liked to hear Jordan tell his stories at
dinner, and he was rarely disappointed. Jordan had traveled
all over the world, building things and seeing strange
places. And what made it even more interesting was that
Jordan was an amusing teller of tales. Lyndsay thought a
lot of Jordan's stories where as Mark Twain would say
'stretchers', but when she challenged Jordan he would only
smile and say, "Lyndsay, as I always I respect your
opinion, but were you THERE?" His mom would flush and glare
at a chuckling Todd.
---
That night Todd was awakened by a strange glow in his room.
"What the hell?" he blinked sleepily. It was the crystal
ball sitting on his dresser. Somehow, it was glowing
brightly. The moonlight was coming in through the window
and all Todd could think of was that it had somehow
triggered the crystal. "Super Cool!"
Todd gave out a yell and his mother came hurrying in.
Computer papers with accounts were clutched in her hands.
"Why the commotion?" She demanded. Then she looked at the
dazzlingly crystal orb and gasped. "What the shit?"
"The moon must have sent it off, Mom!" said Todd excitedly.
"It's super cool!"
Lyndsay frowned as she bent over the glowing crystal, as it
was almost hypnotically compelling.
"I wish you would use another expression, Todd." She said
absently. "Is it hot?" she asked her hand inches from the
crystal ball.
Gingerly, Todd touched it. "No. If anything, it's a little
cool. Touch it yourself."
Cautiously his mother did so, her hand on the opposite side
of the orb from her son's. Suddenly the room lit up as the
crystal ball flashed... almost exploded in light. Todd and
his mother were dazzled and staggered. When they could see
again the room was dark, except for the moonlight coming
in. The Orb was now dark, no longer glowing at all.
Todd felt strange. However, he was distracted from that as
he wondered how had he suddenly gotten to the other side of
his room. In confusion, he fumbled for the light switch,
and as he flipped it and the light went on, he and his
mother both screamed.
Todd was looking at a boy... at himself! They both screamed
again, Todd's in a high-pitched woman's scream and
Lyndsay's in a teenage boy's.
"Impossible!" Lyndsay cried at once, sounding just like the
13 year old boy she now looked like.
Todd could only nod dumbly.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" Todd's mother cried out again, looking at
what had been herself. "IMPOSSIBLE!"
Todd was beginning to get irritated and snapped. "It's
happened. I suggest you look up the word 'impossible' in
the dictionary! It's not impossible if it happens."
She glared at him, "Remember who you are talking to young
man! Show some respect!"
Todd thought, "Man, mom is really losing it. She can't
control the situation and this really freaks her out. Well,
this body switch thing freaks me too, but at least I'm
trying to find out what happened instead of crying
'Impossible!'"
His eyes drifted to the crystal moon and he gasped, "It has
to be that crystal ball!"
"Why?" Lyndsay demanded.
"What else, mom?" he answered in an exasperated voice,
"It's not like we change bodies every night!"
After a moment, they both hesitantly touched it again.
However, nothing happened. They tried it yet again with the
same effect.
"So much for your idea, young man!" snapped Lyndsay.
Todd grinned at being called young man by someone who
appeared to be a young man as well, now that he was in an
adult body.
"It's not glowing," Todd said thoughtfully, "It was
before."
Lyndsay grew excited at that, "You're right! It had a very
eerie glow before." She grabbed the crystal ball and shook
it, "Glow damn it!"
Todd laughed his mother's scornful laugh. "Get real mom. I
don't think it's battery operated." Then he paused for a
moment and noticed something, "I wonder what the words on
the base mean? "
Todd and his mother puzzled over the inscription, though it
was nothing like they had ever seen before. His mother
thought it looked a little like Arabic.
"Let's see if I can find out using the computer," Todd said
nervously.
With his usual competence, Todd did some research, while
Lyndsay kept pacing restlessly back and forth. From time to
time, she touched her new body and then shook her head,
muttering 'impossible'.
Todd focused on what he was doing, then eventually looked
up, "It's a form of ancient Arabic. I've entered the
inscription into my computer and hopefully we'll get a
translation."
The printer clattered and Todd pulled it out. They both
read...
When the moon is full, the glow of life
(untranslatable terms)
Then the power of the moon waxes, the moon gives

those seeking the bridge of the moon must touch

Lives will be traded one for one by the grace of the
moon. Then so must they live under the pitiless sun.
If back they wish to go

once again glows.
"My god!" Todd breathed, "I wonder where this came from and
who created it!"
"Never mind that shit," Lyndsay snapped, "Does it mean what
I think it means? That we must wait a month before I can
get my body back?"
Todd gulped, then nodded his mother's head and pushed the
long auburn hair out of his eyes. "That's the way I read
it."
"Impossible!" she stormed, "I can't waste a whole month
pretending to be my son in junior high school."
Todd laughed, though it was almost a giggle. "Supper cool!
What a good joke!"
"It's not funny!" Lyndsay nearly yelled.
"Yes, it is," Todd responded, though he knew that this was
a serious problem as well.
Lyndsay laughed ruefully, "I guess it is... in a way. But
it's a disaster. Five people are clawing for my job. I'll
be ruined." She thought a moment. "There's nothing else for
it. I will have to train you to take my place until we can
switch back in four weeks." She stared at Todd, "When's the
next full moon?"
"The twenty sixth," Todd answered after a glance towards
the calendar.
Lyndsay nodded briskly, seeming to once again be in
command. "I'll... no you will call in to my work to take a
week of vacation to deal with 'your' husband's affairs.
They have been expecting me to do so anyway, and I have
three days coming anyway for his death. During that time, I
will train you to impersonate me. We will have seven days.
If an emergency comes up, they can e-mail or fax us the
information and I'll tell you what to say or I'll E-mail
them back. If you do a good job, I'll buy you the new
computer you want." She paused for a moment to look at
Todd, "Deal?"
"Deal!" Todd gulped. He was going to have to learn to
impersonate his mother. What a scary thought. "How about
school?"
Lyndsay shuddered. "Me, going back to school? And as a
thirteen year old boy. Ghastly, just ghastly! Shit! What
can we do?"
Todd thought, then gave a faint smile as he thought about
what his mom had already suggested. What's good for the
goose, he thought to himself, is good for the gander.
"We can get you... 'Todd' a week off with the same basic
excuse," Todd told his mother, "You... no I of course can
call school and I'll tell them because of 'your' father's
murder, you will need a week off. Then while you're
training me to be you, I can teach you to be me too."
Todd was snickering to himself with the thought of his mom
having to be him and cope with school. That would almost
make this mess worthwhile.
"I guess you really can't get more than a week," Lyndsay
mused thoughtfully, obviously not liking the idea but
seeing no way around it.
Todd shook his head, "I'll have to get Joey to bring my
homework home and we can do it together... as always." He
half groaned at that, "You are pretty up to speed on my
classes anyway since you insist on always checking my
homework." He tried to keep the annoyance out of his voice
at that last.
Lyndsay just nodded. Then the adrenaline started leaving
her new body.
"God, I'm sleepy," she muttered.
Rolling his eyes faintly, Todd told her, "Well then, go to
bed."
She started to head towards her own room and stopped. "We
might as well start now," she said reluctantly, "I'll sleep
here... and you sleep in my room. And don't mess it up!
Keep it tidy!"
"Yes, mother," Todd said in resignation, not considering
the irony of an apparent beautiful 32 year old woman saying
'Yes, mother' to a 13 year boy with acne.
Part 2
Todd woke up feeling tired. The weird dream he'd had last
night had worn him out, though it did make him grin.
Switching bodies with his bitchy mother... it was too weird
for words. It was like something out of 'Honey I Shrunk the
Kids' or 'Too Weird'.
Suddenly a boy's voice called out, "You can't lay in bed
all day, Todd. We've got a lot to do, so get your ass out
of bed right now, young man."
Startled, Todd shot upright and as he did so, he felt
BREASTS swinging. It hadn't been a dream. His stunned eyes
took in the weird sight of his real body glaring down at
him, hands on hips. God, he thought, his mom was making him
look like... well, like a girl.
"Well mom," Todd announced in annoyance, "we might as well
start now, and with YOU! You're making me look like a
woman." The sight nearly made him cringe, especially as he
thought about what his friends would say to it. "Take your
hands off your hips and stand up straight." he said as he
swung lovely legs out of bed, adding almost as an
afterthought, "Or better yet, slouch."
Lyndsay glared at Todd and he grinned back, feeling a
little vindicated. It was so strange to see mom's frown on
HIS old face. Instead of being intimidating, she looked
comical.
That was the start of an 'interesting' morning to say the
least. After the strange awakening, Todd dressed in his
mother's robe and went into the kitchen for breakfast. At
Lyndsay's suggestion, Todd had his mother's fruit plate
while she ate his cereal, though he wasn't particularly
thrilled by that. He would rather have had his usual, but
once he started eating he found that it wasn't that bad.
Once Lyndsay was finished with her cereal, she got up and
said, "Good, my coffee's ready," just before pouring
herself a cup.
Todd watched her for a moment, thinking it odd to see a 13
year old boy with a cup of coffee. "I don't like coffee,"
Todd said thoughtfully, then suggested, "You might not like
it if you're in my body." He wasn't really sure, but in a
way it made some sense.
However, Lyndsay didn't show any signs that she'd heard
Todd, which wasn't too unusual. She just took a sip of her
coffee, then scrunched up her face and spit it into the
sink with a look of disgust. Todd just burst out laughing
at the sight, earning a glare in response. Well, he had
warned her she might not like it in his body.
Just as Todd finished eating his own breakfast, he was a
little startled to realize that he was feeling a bit jumpy
and nervous. He had no idea why. Without thinking about it,
his hands started fidgeting.
"Mom... what's wrong with your body?" Todd asked nervously.
He couldn't help thinking that maybe the swap had messed it
up somehow. Who knew what kind of side effects there might
be?
Lyndsay stared at Todd with a frown and thought for a
moment, then she sudden grinned sardonically. "You need a
cigarette. You know, the things you say I should be able to
give up without any problems."
Todd glared at his mother, and despite herself, she was a
little intimidated. Her old body could really glare. The
idea seemed almost ridiculous to Todd and he half thought
that his mom was joking. But there was that thing with his
mom and the coffee... making this much more believable.
For a moment, Todd was about to refuse to even consider it,
then he saw the look of amusement on his mom's face. No,
the smug amusement on his real face. And then Todd grimaced
in stubbornness and reached for his mom's cigarettes.
He fumbled with the pack and pulled out a cigarette. Then,
he put it between his lips and with trembling hands, tried
to light it. After the fourth attempt, he managed to do so
and inhaled... almost immediately bursting into a round of
coughing as he drew in too much. However, it quickly got
better and he took another... lighter puff
Lyndsay drew back in disgust from the smell. It was awful
and made her sinuses run. Now she understood why Todd was
so opposed to her smoking in the house, though she refused
to give him the satisfaction of admitting that he might
have been right.
Todd couldn't resist grinning at his mother's distress,
then taking another drag, this time without any coughing or
discomfort. He was tempted, but refrained from blowing
smoke in her face.
Then Lyndsay regained her composure and said, "Not like
that." She frowned and then started teaching Todd exactly
how to hold the cigarette, how to light it, and how to puff
it just like she did. All the while, she was coughing and
wheezing, much to the delight of her son.
A while later, Todd made a carefully planned call to his
mother's secretary. As soon as the secretary had answered
the phone, he started, "Grace, this is Ms. McDonald." Todd
glanced once again at the page his mother had written...
his part. Enter Lyndsay McDonald, stage left.
Todd could feel the fear in the other's voice as the young
woman asked, "Anything wrong, Ms. McDonald?"
"I have to take the next week off to straight all the
tangle from my worthless Ex-husband's estate," Todd told
her, "Please let everyone know. If there is an emergency,
E-mail or fax me here. Also, send me daily update and
summaries of activity on E-mail. I may or may not be here
to answer the phone and I may have to travel out of town.
Any questions?" he asked in his mother's best hard, bitchy
manner.
"No, Ma'am," she stuttered, "I have it recorded!"
"Good!" Todd rung off before he made a mistake.
Then he called into school. It was funny hearing his
councilor and teacher so afraid of him now. Mother's like a
Nazgul from the movie Lord of the Rings, he thought to
himself; her power causes abject fear in those in contact
with her. It was super cool being so much in command. He
grinned. Of course, he'd had to sneak out to see the movie
since his mother didn't believe in fantasy. Well, maybe she
would now.
In the end, Todd had made sure that the school would have
Todd's friend and neighbor Joey bring assignments home.
That would take care of one problem, which only left a
thousand more to go.
As soon as Todd had hung up the phone, having finished
making the necessary arrangements, Lyndsay firmly
announced, "Now to get to work..."
For the rest of the morning, Lyndsay made Todd diagram all
of his classes, where he and all of his friends sat, all
with her usual obsessive thoroughness. His teachers and
friends names... everything. By the time he'd finished, it
covered 12 sheets of computer paper. Then she did the same
for her office and staff of thirty-two. Poor Todd's head
swam.
They both spent almost the entire day both writing down
their own information and trying to memorize each other's.
And both mother and son were so absorbed in the details
that the day rushed past quicker than it had any right to.
That night, Todd felt daring and ordered Pizza, knowing
that his mother disapproved of it. She grumbled, but had to
admit they were too busy to cook. It was weird eating it
though. Lyndsay even seemed to enjoy eating it more than
Todd, which was an odd turnaround.
Several hours later, they sat across from each other in
silence. And though neither said a word, they were both
thinking that no mother and son had ever spent a stranger
day.
"Tomorrow," Lyndsay finally said, breaking the silence, "we
will have a lot of work to do. We'll have to work on dress
and walk, as well as your mannerisms."
Todd groaned at that, though he knew that she was probably
right. Still, that didn't mean that he had to like it. In
fact, he disliked it just on general principal. He was a
boy not a girl - damn it!
Then with that, they said their good nights and headed for
their beds. However, they each started towards their own
rooms, only then catching themselves and going to the rooms
that belonged with their bodies.
Once the door was closed and Todd was alone, he let out a
sigh of relief. It was the first real chance that he'd had
to be alone since his mother woke him up that morning. She
was hard enough to deal with as it was, but having to put
up with her all day long was almost more than he could
bear.
"Weird," Todd muttered as he looked down at himself, still
finding it unbelievable.
After getting undressed, Todd just stood there and stared
down at himself even more, feeling extremely strange to be
staring at his mom's naked body, and even more so as it was
on him. However, there was a cold chill as he thought about
the fact that he'd better get used to it because he was
going to have it for another month. On the other hand
though, at least he knew it wasn't permanent and he could
see the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Really weird," Todd mused. Then he shrugged, reminding
himself to just deal with things as they came.
Todd took a long look at the reflection in his mother's
full-length mirror then climbed into bed. He remained where
he was for several minutes, almost afraid to move too much.
However, his curiosity quickly got the best of him and he
started to slowly feel his body beneath the covers.
Eventually, Todd drifted off to sleep, though it was filled
with strange dreams. One of which was that he was walking
into his mother's office, and everyone there was laughing
at him.
---
In the morning, Todd had to take his mother's morning bath,
rather than his usual shower. However, he knew that they
both needed it since such routine matters had been
forgotten during the chaos of the day before. Todd just
wished that his mom wasn't there watching him while he took
his bath. It was embarrassing.
"What do you mean I have to shave my legs?" Todd demanded,
glaring at the razor and then his mother.
Lyndsay just glared back, "They need it and you'll need to
learn how. Like this..." She then explained the process,
step by step.
But when Todd actually shaved his legs... his mother's
legs, he accidentally nicked himself several times, much to
his annoyance. However, it was his mom who started to
scream and yell when he nicked them, annoying Todd and
making him wonder what her problem was. After all, he was
the one who felt the pain, not her. When she took a shower
he felt like going around and flush all the toilets!
Once the bath and everything was taken care of, it was time
for Todd to start 'Being a Female 101 to 404'. He didn't
know how much there was to learn about female clothing, but
was amazed as he slowly began to find out. About what shoes
to wear with different length of skirts. When to wear
slips, half-slips, what bras to wear. (Having breasts still
embarrassed him). It was like he had suddenly been
transported into a whole new universe. Women were from
Venus; men were from Vulcan.
Todd was not thrilled with his lessons, especially not the
walking like a woman part or the makeup. However, he didn't
complain... much. As much as he disliked the girl lessons,
he knew that he'd need them for the rest of the month. And
of course, it was kind of fun giving his mom some guy
lesson's at the same time.
---
That night, Todd was really scared when his mother insisted
on going to her office. He wasn't comfortable with the idea
of going out in public in her body, but she insisted that
they go after hours so he would become familiar totally
with the layout.
"But Mom..." Todd started to protest.
"NO BUTS, Todd," Lyndsay snapped, "Just suck it up!"
Todd grimaced, grumbling all the way out to the car.
However, once there, they realized that they had a new
problem. Officially, his mother didn't have a driver's
license anymore... and he did. Unfortunately, the knowledge
of how to actually drive didn't come with that license.
Because of that problem, the trip was postponed while Todd
learned how to drive. Lyndsay was not a patient teacher,
much to Todd's frustration, but he paid very close
attention to what she told him. He was surprised at just
how quickly he learned, as was Lyndsay.
"I guess this proves that all that time in the arcade
wasn't wasted," Todd told his mom smugly.
He'd spent a number of quarters practicing at one of those
driving simulators, which he was sure had helped him learn
for real. However, he couldn't forget the horrible chewing
out he'd gotten from his mom afterwards for wasting all of
that money. Even if it was money that he'd earned himself.
It was well after midnight before they started on their
way. Lyndsay half dozed in her seat for most of the trip
because she was tired, though the adrenaline started
pumping again when they arrived and she was once more wide
awake.
Once in the high rise of his mom's company, Todd carefully
approached the guard, silently commanding himself to,
'Think Mom.' Arrogant, sure of herself and a super bitch.
It worked, as the guards were terrified of him and accepted
the flimsy excuse of 'her' wanting to show her son around
'her' department. For a moment though even his mother was
frightened. Todd even had to sign in, though fortunately
his handwriting was extremely close to his mother's.
"This way," Lyndsay said as she led him to her office.
Almost the instant she was inside, she went for the
computer and pulled up all the files on everyone she worked
with. And with her usual thoroughness, they had pictures
and short bios on all the employees.
With a slight frown, Todd looked at his mother and asked,
"A little paranoid?"
He knew that he'd be a bit uncomfortable if people were
keeping files like this on him. Then he grimaced, realizing
that his mother might very well have a similar file on him.
The thought almost made him feel as though he were a
criminal with a record or something.
Lyndsay glared at Todd, "Just transfer the files." Todd
nodded, then copied them to E-mail and sent them to his
home computer to look at later.
After that, Lyndsay took Todd around to every desk, and
told him about everyone who worked there. She even made him
repeat everything back until he was letter prefect. It
didn't take long though before he grew frustrated, already
being a bit tired as it was, though he didn't argue,
knowing that he just might need that knowledge.
When they were finally finished and on their way back home,
Lyndsay fell asleep in the car. Todd glared over at her,
feeling resentful. Damn the crystal ball anyway. School was
a hell of a lot easier.
---
The next morning, Todd and Lyndsay both slept in. Todd
awoke up first and groaned as he dragged himself out of
bed. Taking a piss was still strange, though fortunately it
was no longer completely alien. He did some stretches and
loosened up his mom's body, regretting that it wasn't quite
as energetic as his real body. Then Todd decided that if he
was awake, his mother should be up as well. So with a faint
smile, he went to shake her awake.
Lyndsay couldn't believe that SHE had overslept. It just
wasn't like her and it put her in even a worse mood. She
hated being a thirteen year old boy. It gave her a feeling
of powerlessness and was that always uncomfortable. So she
mercilessly drilled Todd ignoring, as usual, his
complaints.
They were in the middle of some more lessons when the phone
started ringing. However, they just let the machine get it,
revealing on the message that it was Jordan. And, he wanted
to be called back.
"That's great! Shit!" Lyndsay took a deep breath, "You'll
have to do it. Just be careful, Todd."
"First I need a cigarette," Todd muttered. Being his mother
and talking to her boyfriend made him REALLY nervous. His
hands shook as he lit the first one of the morning.
Lyndsay snorted as she watched her son. God, what a wuss!
Always needing cigarettes.
You can do this, Todd told himself silently. It's not like
anyone could guess. He stared at the phone for a moment,
hesitating as he got up the will power. The cigarette
calmed his nerves and he hit the speed dial for Jordan's
office.
"Oh, hello Lynn," Jordan's voice came over the phone a few
seconds later, "thanks for calling me back so quickly."
"Not a problem," answered a nervous Todd.
"I just wanted to remind you of Saturday night," Jordan
said cheerfully. "You promised me you be my date for the
awards banquet. I need your support to get through it!"
Jordan laughed faintly at that.
Todd suddenly remembered. With the body swap it had gone
completely out of both their heads. Jordan was being named
Architect of the Year.
"Of course I remember, Jordan," he said, frowning to
himself.
"I'll pick you up at eight," Jordan stated, then asked,
"How's Todd holding up with everything?"
"Hanging in there. He's a little nervous," Todd answered
truthfully.
"Well, I have to go," Jordan sighed, "A client is here.
Thanks for coming. I know this is a difficult time for
you."
"That's the truth," Todd muttered as he hung up.
"Shit! I'm ruined," Lyndsay exclaimed with an edge of panic
in her voice. "You have to go in my place with all the
important people in town looking on. What did I ever do to
deserve this?" Lyndsay cried to the heavens, which of
course did not answer.
"Don't worry, Mom," Todd tried to assure her, "It's
Jordan's night. No one will be paying that much attention
to you. I'll just keep my mouth shut." Then he silently
added, 'Unlike you who would try and be the center of
attention.'
Lyndsay glared at him. "I guess we have no choice. A couple
of other things... First, Todd, we can't go on calling
each other by the wrong name. We're going to slip up in
public. What would people think if they heard the
comptroller of Williams call her thirteen year old son
'Mom' or if the son called his mother by his own name. So,
from now one I will call you 'Mom' even in private... and
you call me 'Todd'. Can you manage even this simple matter
without messing up?"
"Yes, Todd dear." giggled Todd, biting back on the
annoyance of his mother's latest patronizing insult.
"It's not funny," Lyndsay snapped, "And every time you mess
up... I will spank your bottom."
Todd still thought it was funny. He put a grin on his
mother's beautiful face. "And every time YOU mess up, I get
to spank your bottom."
"Don't you dare," she snapped, "And I wont mess up! Shit!
How are you going to handle my boyfriend?"
"I could be having a period," Todd said thoughtfully and
then turned pale.
"For the whole damn month?" Lyndsay demanded. "Don't be
ridiculous, Todd!"
Todd grinned and walked purposely over to her, then whacked
what had been his own bottom.
Lyndsay was furious. "Grin all you want, MOM, but don't
forget it's you who will have a period next week... not me!
You will love that, MOM!"
Todd's new face grew very pale and he reached for a
cigarette. His mother snickered. He'd show her.
"If you can handle it," Todd said firmly, "I can handle
it!"
"You'd better! But that doesn't solve the problem," Lyndsay
told Todd, "Jordan will be expecting sex. Well I'll think
about what to do. Let's get on with your training."
Again, his mother drilled Todd mercilessly. However, even
she had to admit that he did better than she expected.
---
That night, Lyndsay was sitting in front of the computer
and reading some of the messages that had been sent from
her office. Suddenly, she exploded with fury as she read an
e-mail. "Why those candy ass people! I'll get them for
this! And Williams, what kind of CEO is he to worry about
whether the people in my department like working for me or
not? They don't have to like it... just do it!"
"What are you ranting about, Mom?" Todd asked, looking up
from a balance sheet his mother had given him to study.
She came over and silently swatted his bottom.
"Sorry," Todd said, rubbing the sting out. He wandered over
to the computer and read the message.
Lyndsay,
I am growing concerned about morale in your
department. You have three times the number of
turnovers that anyone else has experienced. In
investigating, I find that your people are resentful
of your rather authoritarian method of management.
This is a friendly word of advice. You need to be
more pleasant and less confrontational. Good managers
listen and lead rather than drive. I've put a lot of
this down to the stress over worrying about your
husband and have so informed your staff. I'm sure you
will do better when you return.
Todd tried to whistle with his mother's mouth, but failed.
Then Todd turned to his mother and asked, "Are you going to
lose your job?"
"Hardly! I'm too valuable to the company. I saved them big
money in the last audit." But Lyndsay was worried and Todd
could see it. She took a deep breath and said, "Back to
work."
Todd groaned.
---
The next day was almost the same, but Todd needed a break.
Suddenly he had a great idea. He wanted to get his mother
off his back, at least for a while. And he was sure that
this would do the trick.
"Todd, you need to learn sports!" He said as firmly as he
could.
Lyndsay responded with a confused, "What?"
"You know," Todd said with some amusement, "Sports. Things
like football and basketball." He smiled faintly at his
mother's look of disbelief, then explained, "I play them,
so if you're going to impersonate me... you're going to
need to know how."
"I hardly think..." Lyndsay started to protest.
However Todd quickly burst in, "I know. If I have to learn
all this stuff about being you, the least you can do is
learn enough not to make me look bad."
There was silence for a moment before Lyndsay nodded her
reluctant agreement. As much as she might dislike it, Todd
did have a point. As a perfectionist, she refused to be the
one to make a mistake.
Several minutes later, Todd was putting on his mother's
tight spandex workout clothes. He admired himself in the
mirror, deciding that he looked hot, even if he did say so
himself.
A short while later, Todd had taken his mother to a little
used field that he'd occasionally played at with some of
the other guys. Once there, he started his role as teacher
in the class, 'Sports 101'. It was certainly a nice change
to not be the one having to learn for a change.
And as Todd held the football tightly, he looked down field
at his mother and smiled faintly before throwing the ball.
And as it sailed through the air, he yelled at her, "Follow
the ball into your hands!"
The few people who were watching were amazed to see a
mother teaching her son how to play football. And they were
even more amazed that the teenager didn't seem to know the
rules.
Part 3
Thursday morning at the McDonald's.
"I thought of a way for you to avoid sex with Jordan,"
Lyndsay exclaimed. It had come to her in a flash.
"Hum?" her transformed son responded absently. He was going
over the quarter reports and they were surprisingly
starting to make sense.
"Just tell him," Lyndsay smugly announced, "that the death
of 'your' ex-husband is just too emotionally draining and
you need some time for healing."
"Do you think he'll buy that M... Todd?" He added
hurriedly.
His bottom still smarted from the last lapse. Whoever would
have thought that his 13 year old arms had that kind of
strength? But his mother's... well, his former butt
probably stung more as she made more lapses than he did.
"Sure," Lyndsay shrugged, "Jordan for all his brilliance is
a fool where women... especially me are concerned. Just bat
your beautiful eyes at him and sniffle a little. It will
work like a charm."
"Yuck," Todd groaned, his masculine sensibilities revolted
with the picture of him being a simpering female.
"Would you rather have sex?" his mother asked
sarcastically.
Todd shook his head with an emphatic, "NO!"
Lyndsay grinned in triumph.
"Okay, okay, 'TODD' I'll do it," he agreed reluctantly,
"But I bet you wouldn't have."
His mother looked angry. Damn, Todd, knew her better than
she thought.
Several minutes later, the topic of the date was almost
forgotten as they went to work on Todd's school.
Fortunately, Lyndsay had spent a lot of time at Todd's
school, grilling his teachers and critiquing the principle
so they didn't have to somehow sneak in there and
familiarize her with it. With Todd's diagrams she would be
safe enough there.
Not only was Lyndsay familiar with all of Todd's teachers,
but since he wasn't allowed to have girlfriends, she was
safe there as well. And of course, since she'd checked on
all of his male friends, what few there were, she knew that
she should be okay. However, saying that she was not
thrilled with going back to school would have been an
understatement.
"Shit," Lyndsay spat, "Time for another riving lesson."
Todd's lovely eyes lit up at that. It was almost worth
being in his mother's body to be able to drive. He grinned,
"Super Cool!"
"Stop saying that," Lyndsay snapped, "You make me sound
ridiculous. Imagine you are pretending to be me at work and
the CEO comes up and says 'Good work, Ms. McDonald. We are
going to put you on the board.' And then you say 'Super
Cool'. I'd be ruined."
Todd looked down at his mother with her frown on her face
thinking, not for the first time, that she was funless
bitch.
"I'll try and control myself TODD," he responded coldly.
"And you watch it too. I never cuss and you often say the
excrement word as well as a few other choice phrases that
are totally inappropriate in 13 year old."
Lyndsay bit what had been Todd's lower lips. Her eyes
flashed furiously as she wondered how dare he talk to her
like that. A moment later, she spat out, "Who the hell do
you think you're talking to?"
"It looks like a little boy to me," Todd spat back, for the
first time not too intimidated by his mother to argue back.
"You're the one who keeps acting like it doesn't matter if
you mess things up."
For a moment, Lyndsay just stared back at Todd, filled with
shock and fury. And with that, their argument went into
full swing, resulting in both parties going to bed angry.
Though by morning, it had been largely forgotten.
---
Todd, who had been dreading Saturday's date was now looking
forward to it. His mother and he had been on each other's
nerves constantly. All this togetherness was wearing them
both down as they were not used to spending so much time
together, let alone being in each other's bodies and
learning to impersonate each other.
Lyndsay was seething. Her son was agreeable on the choice
of make up, hairstyle and jewelry, but dug in his heels on
the choice of evening gown.
"Mom, I am not wearing the light green one," Todd stated
firmly, "I always thought it was the color of puke and made
you look fat. I'm certainly not going to look dowdy
tonight." In spite of Lyndsay's wishes, Todd was currently
wearing a simple black, beautifully cut evening dress.
Todd had spent a good part of the day being nervous and
frightened in Mom's beauty parlor, having her hair and
nails done. He kept his mouth shut and just listened, being
completely shocked by some of the things that he heard. A
number of the women were crude and scheming bitches, though
some were very nice. But he sure couldn't tell the good
from the bad by the way they dressed or did their hair.
It was a valuable lesson for the future when he began to
date, Todd thought to himself. That was if his mother ever
actually let him. Todd giggled at the irony of that since
he was going on a date now... in Mom's body and with Mom's
boyfriend.
Lyndsay really felt funny. It was weird seeing her former
body all dolled up and elegant, waiting for her boyfriend.
She put her hands behind her back so that Todd wouldn't see
them shake. She hated that helpless feeling, with
everything in the hands of her son instead of her own.
Lyndsay just knew that Todd would ruin her tonight. Somehow
he would make her look ridiculous!
When the doorbell rang finally rang, Todd gestured for his
mother to answer it. She glared at him resentfully, though
she went for the door anyway. After all, Todd was the one
who always answered the door and since they were trying to
act like each other...
Jordan came in with a smile and handed the apparent Todd a
pizza. Lyndsay was surprised to find her mouth watering. It
smelled great. And without knowing it, her face broke out
in a wide smile.
"Still love pizza I see," Jordan laughed.
Lyndsay flushed in embarrassment, remembering how she had
always criticized Todd for being a Pizza addict.
Then Lyndsay heard her former voice say coolly, "The boy is
impossible."
"Relax, Lynn, all boys are impossible and they grow up into
impossible men," Jordan joked with a grin. Then he looked
'Lyndsay' over with an appreciative expression. "Darling,
you look fantastic. That black dress really suites you. I
like it better than the green one."
Todd shot a triumphant glance at his mother. Then Jordan
kissed Todd lightly on the lips, catching Todd half
unexpectedly. And to his further surprise, Todd liked both
the attention and the kiss.
"Thank you," Todd responded, not sure whether he meant the
compliment or the kiss. He blushed in embarrassment as he
realized that his mom had witnessed the event and had a
scowl on her face. He couldn't resist smiling at that,
thinking that it was fun seeing her distressed.
After a minute more, Todd and Jordan started out towards
his car. Todd had no trouble walking with the 3 inch
evening sandals as he had been practicing enough, but he
still thought woman's clothes very uncomfortable. Without
thinking, he slipped his arm through Jordan's as they made
their way to his Ferrari.
The sports car was a gorgeous sight and Todd's eyes gleamed
at the sight of it. Without thinking he exclaimed, "We're
taking your Ferrari! Super cool!"
Jordan laughed in surprise. "You've been spending too much
time with Todd. I know you love my car, but you actually
used his super cool expression! That's too funny. The
controlled Ms. McDonald slipping up and actually showing
her enjoyment!"
Todd blushed at that. Damn! Not five minutes into the date
and he had slipped up already. He just hoped that his mom
didn't find out.
"Sorry," Todd apologized with a weak smile.
"No need to be sorry, Lynn," Jordan assured him, still
grinning, "I think it's 'super cool' to see you so excited
about my car and my award dinner. I was afraid that you'd
downplay it and act too blas?."
Mom really is a party pooper, Todd thought as he slid his
lovely legs into the hot car. He could hardly wait and
wondered if he could talk Jordan into letting him drive it.
Still inside the house, Lyndsay was scarfing down the pizza
and thoroughly enjoying it. It tasted great.
---
At the reception, Todd smiled and kept mostly quiet. He was
at the head table with Jordan, being so nervous and excited
that he could hardly taste the food. Not that he missed
much as 99 percent of such banquet food was about the same
texture and taste as cardboard.
Todd gulped at the Champagne, which he liked, finding that
it went down really well and made his body glow inside. It
was different, though quite pleasant. Being his mom did
have some perks after all.
When it came time for Jordan's acceptance speech, he leaned
over and kissed Todd on the cheek. "Wish me luck," Jordan
whispered, "I am so nervous I'm afraid to look down
thinking I might have lost my pants."
Todd giggled at the joke and felt a strange warm glow
inside of himself. Poor Jordan needed him. He gave his
sweetest smile and gently squeezed Jordan's hand with all
the reassurance possible.
"You'll do fine," Todd whispered confidently.
"Thanks Lynn," Jordan whispered back.
A few seconds later, Jordan was at the microphone. And
after a bit of a nervous start, Jordan did fine, even
making the audience and Todd laugh a few times with his
wit. Todd couldn't help thinking that he was so charming.
Once the speech and dinner were over, they circulated
around while various people whom Todd didn't know
congratulated Jordan on his achievement. Todd just went
along with a smile, and to keep from talking, he sipped the
great tasting champagne. It really relaxed him.
While this was going on, the real Lyndsay sat at home,
watching 'Miss Congeniality' and brooding. Todd would ruin
it for her. She just knew it.
Eventually, the party ended and it was time to go home.
Todd was not feeling any pain as Jordan opened the door of
his Ferrari. 'What a great evening!' he thought to himself.
He looked at the man sitting next to him, silently telling
himself, 'You know he is very cute.'
Todd made no objection when Jordan took them to his house,
nor when the man took Todd into his arms and kissed him. It
was great... and almost dreamy. Todd felt this new body
glowing and strangely growing wet down below. Go with the
flow, Todd decided. Later, not regretting it at all. How
long has this been going on, Todd wondered after the third
time they had made love. Sex was great!
A short time later, after Jordan was asleep, Todd found
himself kissing the man's forehead. But wanting something
else, Todd frowned and reached into his purse, pulling out
a cigarette and lighted up. Contentedly, Todd puffed it as
he lay in Jordan's arms. This had been the greatest night
of his life.
With a deep smile, Todd blew out a stream of smoke and
whispered, "Super Cool." It was way better than even Pizza.
Some distance away, Todd's mother was seething. What was
keeping the boy?
Surely he wouldn't have sex with her boyfriend? But as
worried as she was, she couldn't call Jordan's house. What
would she say? Hi, this is Todd... is my mother having sex
with you? Or worse, this is the real Lyndsay McDonald and
you're with my son in my body. Sure, both approaches would
really work, she thought sarcastically. They'd be as
welcome as Clinton at a Jessie Helms moral majority rally.
Eventually, she fell asleep in front of the TV at 1AM.
Part 4
Lyndsay woke up stiff on sore, still dressed and laying on
the couch. Scrambling up, she dashed upstairs. Shit, she
thought, the boy wasn't back yet with her body. "I've got
to kill that kid," she spat, echoing billions of parents
past, present and future!
Then she went to the telephone and venomously punched in
Jordan's number. Damn, she thought, they were letting the
machine pick up. She hated when people did that, though
that was what she did herself most of the time. Lyndsay
wished she had let Todd get that dog he wanted so she could
have something to kick.
At the moment, she didn't know what she hated the most...
the thought that Todd, TODD HER SON, was having sex with
her beau, or that he might give them away. Or worse yet,
make her look foolish and immature. With those furious
thoughts racing through her mind, she rushed outside to get
some fresh air.
Just a few seconds after Lyndsay was outside the door, she
saw Scott... a neighborhood kid Todd's age. He smirked at
her from the sidewalk and took a step closer, asking, "Fall
out of bed with your clothes on?" Then Scott grinned, "Your
bitchy mom must not be home from the rotten way you look."
And in a mocking tone, Scott added, "You're not on drugs
are you, Toddsy waddzy?"
Lyndsay saw red. She had never liked the kid as he always
tried to patronize both her and Todd. At last she had
something she could kick. And with that, she flew at Scott
and started pounding him, quickly knocked him down. The
surprised boy staggered to his feet and she hit him again
and again, taking a few punches in return. However, that
just made her madder and she knocked him down, then started
kicking him.
"Little bastard," Lyndsay spat viciously as her foot went
into the boy's ribs. Scott just started screaming out for
help.
And then a moment later, his refined mother came out and
started screaming as well, "You... you ugly brute!" Scott's
mother, Julia Long looked near manic as she howled out, "Oh
look what you've done to my poor baby!" Then the woman ran
over and viciously pulled at Lyndsay's ear and hair.
Lyndsay screamed in pain and was so furious that she lost
it. She had never like the bitch anyway... always putting
on airs just because she was old money. And now this... So
with that, Lyndsay turned and socked the woman in her soft
stomach, causing her to bend over almost double and crying.
"You can't hit my mom, you Fuckhead!" Scott screamed, his
voice breaking. He jumped up and started hitting Lyndsay.
Soon they were in a three way free for all.
Scott's dad David Long heard the commotion and came running
out, though the moment he saw what was going on, he stopped
with his mouth nearly dropping. For a second, he was frozen
in stunned surprise, then he started to laugh. His ultra-
refined wife's expensive coiffeur was ruined, her dress was
ripped she had a black eye. And his prissy son was actually
fighting, as well as had a nosebleed. The sight seemed
ludicrous as hell.
He grinned and watched for a few moments, half thinking
that he had to be imagining things. Then David frowned and
realized that he'd better break it up before someone got
hurt. With that, he casually went over and pulled the three
of them apart. David had no difficulty, as he was a big man
who had played college football.
Once Lyndsay was separated from the other two, sanity
quickly returned, though she was still furious. She
couldn't believe she had lost it so badly though. Her
breaths came in great gulps. One eye ached, her nose was
bleeding and her hair hurt. And Mr. Long looked HUGE as he
stood in front of her, making her feel very small. She
breathed a sigh of relief as she noticed that he was
grinning.
"Shame on you, Julia," Scott said, the amusement obvious in
his voice. "You're disgracing your family. Fighting like a
common teenager..."
Julia flushed, furious. She hated it when people laughed at
her. "That boy should be sent to jail!" Glaring viciously
at Lyndsay, she snapped, "He wantonly attacked our baby!"
"Yeah dad," Scott sniffled, wiping a bleeding nose "I
didn't do anything at all."
His father looked very skeptical. "Well," David announced,
"I doubt the police would be interested in a brawl between
neighborhood kids." Then he looked at his wife, adding,
"And they might arrest you, Julia for attacking a minor."
"Arrest me?" she squealed, red faced with indignation. She
turned a furious glare on 'Todd'. "I'm going to tell your
mother... and will she ever punish you." Julia looked smug
as she said, "I know her well. She's an obsessive control
freak bitch... and for once I am glad!"
Julia skipped back at the glare Lyndsay gave her. Her
loving husband just laughed, "You'd better watch yourself,
dear. Todd looked like he was going to punch you again."
Then in a still amused tone, David said, "By all means,
snitch to his mother. I'd love a break in our dull, refined
area. It reminds me of the good old days playing football."
He let out a faint sigh from the fond memories.
Lyndsay grimaced, relieved when Mr. Long started to pull
the others away. Then she started limping back into her own
house. Mrs. Long had gotten in some well-aimed kicks to her
shins.
"I'm going to kill Todd for this," Lyndsay spat, "It's all
his fault."
---
Meanwhile, the real Todd was snuggled up to Jordan with a
sultry smile on his borrowed face. He and Jordan had just
spent a wonderful morning together, though he still had a
hard time believing it. Sex was absolutely wonderful beyond
words.
Todd let out a contented sigh, deciding that he couldn't
wait until he was older and could find a willing girl to
try it with. He couldn't help but wondering how sex would
be as guy, but for some reason he couldn't quite focus on
it. Here and now was so wonderful.
Jordan grinned at Todd and patted him lovingly on a well
rounded rear. "How about fixing us some breakfast?" he
teased, waiting for Lyndsay to explode. She hated being
asked to put on any traditional role and was quite willing
to snap at him for being asked to cook anything.
But he was surprised when 'Lyndsay' smiled and kissed him
and asked, "Pancakes or eggs?"
Encouraged by that response and feeling a bit daring,
Jordan responded, "How about both?"
A minute later, a completely naked 'Lyndsay' went towards
the kitchen with a smile on her lips. Jordan just stared,
unable to believe it. However, he wasn't about to look a
gift horse in the mouth. Between the night before and that
morning, 'Lyndsay' had really lightened up, almost more
than Jordan could believe. All he could think of was that
perhaps the death of her EX had given her a sense of
freedom... or perhaps just of mortality. Either way, she
was a changed woman.
Todd enjoyed himself while making breakfast, though it was
one of the first times. Not the first time that he'd made
breakfast as his mother had 'asked' him to make it for her
more than a few times, not that she ever returned the
favor. But it was about one of the few times that he was
actually able to enjoy himself while doing so.
"I can't believe it," he cheerfully whispered, hurrying to
grab the ingredients. And after the pleasure of the night
before, Todd was determined to give Jordan the best
breakfast possible.
Breakfast went over great and both Todd and Jordan enjoyed
it. However, there was a dark cloud beginning to form in
Todd's mind as he realized that this couldn't last. After
all, he still had to go home and face his mother.
Todd knew his mother would explode when he got home, so he
dressed with care. He wore red stirrup pants and high shiny
boots and a military type jacket. Then he put on make-up
and styled his... or his mother's long hair carefully.
Fortunately that had been covered in one of their lessons.
Perfect. Also, he decided to ask Jordan to come in with
him. Todd thought that it would be super cool to see how
mom would behave - or at the very least, extremely
interesting.
When Todd returned home just a short while later, he was
immediately confronted by Lyndsay who demanded, "Where have

"Scott started it," she said sullenly.
"Did not," Scott protested.
