In six years of marriage we had always wanted to achieve
it. It, however, had eluded us. Oh, we came close several
times. A few seconds one way or the other perhaps, which
some might consider simultaneous, but we truly wanted to
start that climb to the mountain together, understanding my
wife's would last longer. Unfortunately, on our seventh
anniversary, we achieved just that.
It is not my intention here to write any kind of graphic

must be a unique, life-altering event. Suffice to say, if

Don't get me wrong. It was wonderful, at first. To feel my

Looking back, certainly the signs were there. After the
start of the climax, it simply did not subside. The normal
male climax seems to me to last maybe a second, but this
could have been ten seconds or ten years. So unprepared was
I for it that I had no sense of time, or any other senses
at all except the strange and glorious climax. It came in
wave after wonderful wave. When it finally subsided, I know
I fell right to sleep, all other consciousness having been
stolen from me in this moment of glory. I assume my wife
did the same, for when I came to, I was the first to wake.
And what a surprise it was.
I was barely awake, still worn out to my very soul. I sat
up on the edge of the bed. Please keep in mind how groggy I
was here in order to understand how I might not have

room. I flipped on the light switch and looked at the
clock. 10:42 PM. I will never forget that time. I turned to

between my legs, the two or three small, yet noticeable
purple veins on my legs that appeared on my wife after our
daughter was born. I could even taste in my mouth the taste
that had been so familiar when we kissed.
I was she, and I assumed, she was me.
Panicked, I shock my body that was peacefully resting on
the bed. A little too peacefully, it turned out. I, or
rather my body, was dead.
