Katie left the Professor's office in a stupor. She would never be a boy
again, was what the headmaster had told her. Her entire life would be
different, and she was all alone. Her mind was racing with all the
horrible things that she would have to deal with now, if anyone found
out, she didn't think she could handle the humiliation she would endure.
How were her parents going to react?
"KATIE!" she heard Hermione saying loudly as she was shaken. "Are you
okay?" Katie's mind cleared as she realized she had stopped in the middle
of the Hall and looked up into her friend Hermione's eyes, which were
still glistening with tears.
"I don't know what to do, Hermione," Katie said softly. "What am I
supposed to do?" she gasped for breath as Hermione led her to a nearby
bench and sat her down.
"You're going to get through this, Katie," Hermione said as she wiped her
eyes with the back of her sleeve, and steeled her gaze. "I'm going to get
you through this, you hear me?"
"Hermione...." she said softly, as she bit back her emotions.
"Do you hear me? I'm going to fix this!" Hermione said with
determination.
"Fix it?" Katie asked. "How? He said it was permanent," Katie argued.
"That may be the case, Katie, but I swear to you, I will find a way,"
Hermione said.
"How?" Katie felt her friend's confidence, and her spirits were slightly
lifted.
"How do I do anything?" Hermione asked with a grin. "Books." She smiled.
"Hermione...." Katie tried to interject.
"No, Katie, I've made a promise. I will search every book in the
wizarding world if I have to, but I will find a way to set you right.
You are my best friend, Katie, you always have been, and I've done this
to you, it is my responsibility to fix this," Hermione said standing over
her friend confidently.
"Hermione...." Katie said. "This isn't your fault. I don't blame you
for this." She motioned to her new body. "It was an accident."
"An accident I will set right, Katie," Hermione smiled. "I promise you."
Katie knew there was no point in arguing with her friend. And if anyone
could fix a curse that no one had ever been able to fix before, it was
the cleverest witch she had ever known, Hermione Granger.
"Okay. You promised." Katie smiled as she stood up, and the two girls
hugged. Katie held her friend tightly, even after this ordeal, she was
still her best friend, and nothing would ever change that.
"Now," Hermione said taking a step back from Katie, "we need to sort this
out." She motioned to Katie's robes.
"What? What do you mean?" Katie asked, looking down at her baggy
clothes.
"Well, you can't go around in those robes," Hermione said matter-of-
factly.
"Why not?" Katie asked. "These are my normal robes."
"Because," Hermione rolled her eyes in frustration, "those are boy's
robes, and you're a girl now. Besides. They're far too large for you."
Katie looked down at herself, and had to admit that Hermione was right
about her clothes being too big for her now, she was practically swimming
in them, and her shoes threatened to fall off with every step she took.
"Now..." Hermione said, taking her wand out and aiming at the new girl.
"Hold still." Hermione, closed her eyes, and concentrated before opening
them again, and waving her wand very precisely and saying, "Veste
Mutata."
Katie felt a wash of heat followed by a strong breeze over her body as
her clothing twisted, tightened and transformed around her. Her shoes
tightened around her feet, and she felt the heel rise up around an inch
as they turned into patent leather Mary Janes. Her socks crawled up from
around her ankles to just below her knees as they also shrank to her
newly feminine calves. Her pant legs rapidly receded up her legs, as the
fabric swelled and then flowed around her legs into a pleated skirt. She
could feel her cotton boxers shrinking up her upper thighs, and
contouring her ass and groin, as the fabric became a much softer silken
blend.
Katie gasped at the feeling of the tight panties against her new woman
hood, and then she flushed with embarrassment as she caught Hermione's
eye. Her undershirt shrank rapidly as well, cupping her new breasts, and
cradling them as it became a tight silken bra. Her nipples no longer
felt scratched by the rough fabric as her breasts were now softly held
and, she noticed, pushed up. Her shirt shrank, to fit her newly feminine
frame as well, normally she wore her shirt loose, but it was now very
tight, and it felt, unexpectedly good. Her robes flapped around her in
the quick breeze of the transformation, and when they settled down around
her, they no longer dragged on the floor, and fit her quite nicely.
Katie took a quick inventory of the changes as Hermione looked on with a
quiet pride. Katie wasn't thrilled with the skirt, or its length as she
thought she was showing far more leg then Hermione did in her own
uniform. Kate gave Hermione a forced smile as she picked at the hem of
her skirt.
"Was this really necessary?" she asked.
"Yes," Hermione smiled proudly. "It was. It's the girl's uniform, we
all wear it."
"But why is it so much shorter than yours?" Katie pleaded.
"Well, you've got nice legs, I thought you'd like to show them off,"
Hermione joked. As Katie looked down at her legs, and turned them this
way and that to get a better look at them.
"Yeah, I guess they are quite nice..." Katie admitted with a smile.
"This, is too weird," she admitted as she looked back up at Hermione, who
was now appraising the new girl with a curious look.
"You know what, Katie?" she said with concern.
"What?" Katie asked in growing fear.
"Something needs to be done about your hair," she mused as she thought on
a solution.
"What? What's wrong with my hair?" Katie asked as she ran her hands
through it expecting the worst.
"It's a boy's cut, isn't it?" Hermione explained.
"So?" Katie said defensively.
"So, a girl can't go around with a boy's haircut, especially if you don't
want people to know you're not really a girl!" she continued to explain.
"I guess you're right...." Katie certainly didn't want anyone to find out
she wasn't always the girl she was now, the humiliation of everyone
knowing the truth would be too much for her.
"Stand still," Hermione said, raising her wand to Katie's hair.
"Capillos extendit," Hermione said with a wave of her wand.
Katie's head grew warm, as she could feel her scalp begin to crawl, and
then her vision was obscured by her hair as it grew down in front of her
eyes, passed her ears, and pooled over her shoulders. Katie tried to
pull the hair out of her face and found the difficulty that most girls
deal with every day. Hermione smiled as she admired her work.
"You look brilliant!" Hermione said excitedly. "No one will suspect you
now," she said with pride.
"Okay, if you're done transfiguring me, Hermione..." Katie said with a
grin.
"Oh! Right," Hermione was slightly crestfallen, as she was indeed having
fun. "Well, off to bed then. I'll catch up with you tomorrow morning at
Breakfast?" She added.
"Absolutely," Katie smiled, as the two hugged again. "Thank you
Hermione. For everything," she said softly into her friend's ear as they
embraced. "Well, except for... you know."
The two girls giggled as they parted, Hermione offering a wave as she
started up the Grand Staircase. Katie continued down, to the Basement,
where her House was located, passed the Kitchens. She noticed how her
walk was different, either due to her slightly wider hips, or the heel on
her shoes, she felt comfortable walking with a slight sway in her hips
now, which caused her skirt and robes to flare about as she walked.
She hadn't thought too much about her predicament while she was with
Hermione, something about her friend's presence with her seemed to calm
all of her worries. But now she was about to enter her House, and was
wholly unaware of what she was going to do. She certainly couldn't go to
her bed in the boy's dorms could she? She walked behind the stack of
Barrels at the end of the hall, and tapped the lower middle barrel,
giving it the password, and the entrance to her Dormitories opened before
her.
Entering her Common Room, she felt the warmth embrace her, and she felt
slightly more at ease here. She had always felt that this Common Room
was cozy, warm and inviting, and that was why at this moment, she hadn't
realized Professor Sprout, the head of her house standing by the
fireplace.
"Oh my word..." Professor Spout said as she rushed over to the girl
before her. "Look at you..." she said as Katie stood there awkwardly.
The entire Common Room was empty aside from them, and Katie was thankful
for that small mercy, but she still felt embarrassment knowing that her
Professor knew what had happened to her.
"Professor..." Katie started before she was cut off.
"They told me what had happened..." Professor Sprout said as she looked
over the girl in front of her. "But, my word! I never expected this."
"Well..." she tried again.
"You're absolutely lovely!" Professor Sprout took Katie's face in her
hands. "Ky... sorry... Katie, you turned out to be absolutely lovely.
Do you understand?" Katie nodded as she felt that was what was expected
of her "We are going to get you through this, don't you worry at all. We
are going to make sure this works out for you," She explained as she drew
Katie over to the fire.
"Professor..." Katie started before she was cut off again.
"I've already posted notices, and explained to the other students in your
year that Kyle is no longer with us here at Hogwarts," Katie opened her
mouth to interject, but thought it best at the point to sit down and just
listen as she sat in the couch by the fireplace. "I've also informed
them that Katie will be joining us instead. Susan and Hannah are quite
excited to meet you! Now, I've transferred all of your things to the
Girl's Dorm rooms..." She trailed off as she gave him a piercing look.
"I will be able to trust you to behave yourself, now, won't I?
"Of course Professor," Katie asserted. "Absolutely."
"Good, because I don't even want to have to explain what would happen to
you if I heard even a single whisper about you acting anything less than
the proper young lady that you are. Do you understand?" Her tone was
clear, and her meaning plain.
"I understand, Professor..." Katie said, more worried than ever now.
"Lovely," Professor Sprout smiled warmly. "You're going to fit right in
with the other girls. I'm sure. Now off to bed with you," she added
dismissively.
Katie stood, as Professor Spout gave her warmest smile and Katie trotted
off toward the 4th year dorms.
"No, dear, the girls are on the right side there," Professor Sprout said
as Katie reached for the door instinctively, realizing she was about to
head into the Boy's Dorms. Katie smiled at her Professor, as she crossed
the hall, and entered the girl's Dorm on the other side.
It was a mirror of the Boy's Dorm, but all the beds had pastel yellow
curtains, and everything felt more feminine. She could hear the other
girls sleeping, and could see the open bed across the room that was
obviously hers now. Katie crawled into bed, afraid to change clothes, as
she didn't want to wake anyone up and be bombarded with awkward questions
all night. She smiled as she drifted off to sleep thinking about
Hermione, and how she could count on her best friend to be there for her.
Her entire life would be different, but at least she was not all alone.
