The sun was streaming in through the round windows, and the sounds of
birds and the wind rustling through the grass that Kyle normally awoke
to, were being drowned out by whispering, and voices. Kyle rolled over,
to an unfamiliar pressure on his chest, as he felt an odd shifting, and
as he blinked his eyes open, he could she shadowed shapes all around him,
and then someone squealed.
"She's awake!" a girl said excitedly.
"About bloody time," another girl responded with annoyance.
"Wha--" Kyle sat up on his elbow as he tried to rub the crust from his

and high.
"You sure are a heavy sleeper," a cheery girl said as she sat on his bed.
"Why are you all in our Dorms?" Kyle asked, as his vision cleared, his
eyes focusing on the 4 girls standing around him.
"These are our Dorms too," the annoyed girl said. And that is when Katie
remembered, she was a girl now. A shocked gasp escaped her lips as the
other girls exchanged confused glances. Katie pulled her covers closer to
her body as she sat up, an embarrassed smile crossing her lips.
"Wha-What are you all doing?" Katie asked softly as she looked back at
the four girls, slightly terrified that they knew she had been a boy up
until yesterday, and that any second now they were going to start mocking
him, or worse.
"Well, we wanted to meet you, silly," Hannah Abbot said. Hannah was a
pink faced girl with large brown eyes and blonde hair. Kyle had spent
many a night reviewing Herbology Homework with her, as she was brilliant
at it. She was a sweet girl, friendly, and Kyle had had a crush on her
back in their 1st year.
"What?" Katie said in confusion. "Meet me?"
"You are going to be sharing a Dorm with us," said Susan Bones. "It only
seems right to introduce yourself," she stated. Susan was a no nonsense
type girl, she was less than polite at times, and it was understandable,
as her entire family had been hunted down and killed by the Dark Lord
personally. She had brown eyes, which were usually narrowed in
skepticism, and long red hair she wore in a long plait. She would have
been cute, if she wasn't so intimidating.
"I came in the night..." Katie explained. "I didn't want to wake you all,"
Katie noticed as she pulled the blankets even higher on her body, that
she was no longer wearing her school uniform, she was wearing a
nightgown. Before she could think more on that, her attention was
diverted by a hand on her arm.
"Well, C'mon then!" Megan Jones said with her Scottish accent. "Let's
'ave a look at 'cha!" Megan pulled Katie out of the bed and too her feet.
The Cold stone floor sent a chill up Katie's legs as she stood by the
bed, awkwardly, her nightgown fluttering around her knees. Megan took a
step back, with the other girls, Megan was a cheery sort, her curly red
hair, and her green eyes, gave her a warm outdoorsy feel to her.
"Pre'ty," Megan said offhanded to the other girls, who nodded in
agreement. Katie felt like she was being judged like a slab of meat, and
she didn't like it at all.
"So..." Katie said awkwardly as the four other girls looked her up and
down.
"So?" Leanne said, rolling her dark eyes "Who are you?"
"Oh!" Katie seemed to understand the situation better suddenly, as she
reached out her small hand toward the other girls. "I'm Katie. Katie
Cooper." She flashed her warmest smile as the other girls shook their
hands and introduced themselves as well.
"We have a Kyle Cooper..." Susan's eyes studied Katie's. "You know him?"
"Um, yea... He's my cousin." We, um... had to swap out." Katie had hoped the
Professor had covered this with the girls so she wouldn't have to worry
about it.
"Swapped out?" Megan asked sweetly.
"Um, yeah. See, I got into a bit of trouble at my last school, and they
had to send me here, so our parents thought it best if he went there, and
I... well... go here..." Katie thought it was a stupid lie, and noted to
herself that she needed to get better at lying.
"A troublemaker, are you?" Susan smiled.
"Oh, stop, Susan, she looks like a sweetheart," Hannah said as she moved
in and gave Katie a hug. "We just want you to feel welcome here. We're
all friends, and if you'll have us, we're all your friends now too." Her
smile could soften leather, Katie thought as she returned the hug.
"That's so sweet," Susan joked, as she slapped Leanne on the shoulder.
"We better hurry up, or we'll miss Breakfast!" Susan said as she walked
out of the Dormitory, her robes flowing behind her. Leanne, flashed a
smiles and a wave as she followed behind Megan, and the three girls left
the room.
"You get yourself cleaned up, and dressed, I'll wait for you in the
common room," Hannah said as she rolled her eyes at the other girls,
leaving Katie alone.
Katie dropped back onto the bed, exhausted. She could feel her nerves
trembling still, and her heart pounding in her chest as she lay, staring
at the tree roots crawling across the ceiling. She thought this was going
to be a rough day if she had to be doing that the whole time. The thought
of Breakfast, and a full stomach is what motivated her to get out of bed,
and to get ready for the day ahead.
Katie found her clothes cleaned and folded on her trunk next to her bed,
her wand lay atop them neatly. She found it more difficult to get dressed
this morning than at any other time in her life. The silky panties
weren't the problem as she slid them up her smooth legs with ease. It was
the bra she had the most problem with. Hooking the catch behind her back
was more difficult than she had imagined, and after a minute or so,
figured she could latch it in the front and spin it around. One the
straps were over her shoulders, she had to nestle her breasts in the
cups, and it was the first time in her life that she had touched a girl's
breast, however, the breast was her own. Once she got her breasts into
the cups of the bra, they felt great, supported, no longer free to bounce
around, secure. She smiled at her accomplishment, until she slipped her
arms into her shirt and went to button it closed. All of the buttons were
on the wrong side, and she found it nearly impossible to put the buttons
in the holes, nearly.
The skirt took her a few minutes to figure out, it was a single piece of
cloth with a set of buttons on the top, and she eventually thought to
wrap the skirt around her bum, and attach the buttons in the front,
tucking her shirt in in the process. The tie was no problem, she had been
doing them for years, and the jumper was tighter than she was used to,
but still not an issue. She pulled her white socks on, which were longer
than the boys' socks, and silkier as well, they ended below her knee,
leaving a few inches of bare leg exposed between sock and skirt. The
shoes slid right onto her feet, the only problem she had was walking in
them, as the heels added height to her new shorter frame, but she was
still uneasy on them. Finally she pulled her robes on, grabbed her books
that she would need for the day and picked up her wand from her bed and
tucked it into her robe pocket.
Hannah was sitting at a table near the fireplace, alone, in the Common
Room, petting a brown and black striped cat. Hannah noticed Katie enter
the room, and sprang to her feet.
"You okay? I was starting to think you had gone back to sleep..." Hannah
said as she crossed the room to Katie, and then trailed off as if she had
seen a ghost. "You're not going out like that, are you?"
"What?" Katie asked, looking down at her clothes, fearing she had done
something wrong. However, Hannah's eyes, were clearly looking at Katie's
head.
"You didn't do your hair, or face..." Hannah said with concern.
"My..." Katie was confused. "...face?"
"Sit!" Hannah commanded as she pulled Katie into a chair and pulled out
her own wand. "You mustn't have had any sleep last night if you were too
tired to remember to fix your hair and face..." Hannah said as she pointed
her wand at Katie's hair and said "Sponsus capillus!" Katie felt her hair
pull, and then it fell around her head and shoulders in a shimmering
cascade. "Much better..." Hannah said as she looked at Katie's face.
"You're cute..." Katie blushed, as she studied her now perfectly combed
hair. "Here." Hannah tossed Katie a tin of lip gloss.
"What am I supposed to do with this?" Katie asked meekly.
"You rub it on your lips, silly," Hannah smiled as she picked up her own
books and headed for the door. "Let's go!"
Katie slid onto the bench at the Hufflepuff table next to Hannah as she
introduced Katie to Ernie, Justin, Zacharias and Wayne. Katie looked over
Justin's shoulder toward the Gryffindor table behind him, where made eye
contact with Hermione. Hermione offered a warm smile and a wave and Katie
smiled back.
