Hunter and the Beast (Based on Beauty and the Beast) One upon a time, in a faraway land, a young lad, Gaston, lived in a small village. Although he was the greatest hunter and the best looks in the village, he could not win the heart of his desire. The maiden, Belle, rejected all of his offers for marriage. To impress Belle and make her his wife, he went deep into the forest in search of the legendary Beast. The lad believed that if he could bring back the body of the Beast, he could persuade Belle to marry him. This is the story of the Hunter and the Beast. *** Gaston aimed his musket and fired into the air. A goose immediately fell to the ground from the gunshot. Lefou looked to catch the bird in a bag but failed miserably. Gaston didn't care about the game. He simply wanted to advance his reputation in town. At any moment, he could shoot up into the air and get himself a bird. He kept Lefou around as a servant of sort. Lefou's ineptitude helped Gaston's fragile self-esteem. He loved the fact he was not a loser like Lefou. "Wow! You never miss a shot, Gaston! You're the greatest hunter in the whole world," Lefou said excitedly filled with hero worship. "I know," Gaston agreed. "No beast alive stands at chance against you...and no girl for that matter," Lefou continued. "It's true, Lefou, and I've got my sights set on that one," Gaston said pointing to Belle. "The inventor's daughter?" Lefou doubted. "She's the one. The lucky girl I'm going to marry," Gaston said confidently. "But she's..." Lefou protested. "The most beautiful girl in town," Gaston continued. "I know..." Lefou acknowledged with reservations. "And that makes her the best, and don't I deserve the best?" Gaston reasoned. "Well, of course, I mean you do, but I mean..." Lefou said unable to articulate his thoughts. "Right from the moment when I met her, saw her. I said she's gorgeous and I fell. Here in town there's only she who is beautiful as me. So, I'm making plans to woo and marry Belle," Gaston said. As Gaston approached Belle, a crowd of people of various professions got in his way. As he struggled through the crowd, Belle walked off not even noticing Gaston's calls. "Just watch. I'm going to make Belle my wife," Gaston said determined as Belle left. *** Gaston followed Belle to her house. "Hello, Belle," he greeted. "Bonjour Gaston," she replied politely as Gaston took her book. "May I have my book, please?" she said annoyed. "How can you read this? There's no pictures," Gaston said ignorantly. "Well, some people use their imaginations," Belle said simply. "Belle, it's about time you got your head out of those books and paid attention to more important things...like me. The whole town's talking about it. It's not right for a woman to read...soon, she starts getting ideas...and thinking," Gaston said condescendingly. "Gaston, you are positively primeval," Belle rejected. "Why thank you, Belle," Gaston replied not understanding the term. "Hey, whaddya say you and me take a walk over to the tavern and have a look at my hunting trophies," Gaston invited. "Maybe some other time," Belle replied politely. "I have to help my father." "Ha! That crazy old loon, he needs all the help he can get," Lefou joked. "Don't you talk about my father that way," Belle said offended. "Yeah, don't talk about her father that way," Gaston said to Lefou with mock seriousness and hit him over the head. "My father's not crazy. He's a genius," Belle said defensively and then an explosion could be heard in the basement. Gaston blocked her path to the door to rescue her father. "Not until I get an answer," Gaston said rudely. Belle considered an idea to stall to Gaston. "Give me the head of the Beast," she said. "Which beast? I have dozens," Gaston said confused. "The Beast, the one that lives in the castle in the mountains," Belle said referring to her story book. Gaston held his chin in contemplation. He had never heard of any particular famous beast that lived in a castle. No doubt, if he discovered this beast, he would be able to kill it. "If I bring back this beast's head, you will marry me?" Gaston pressed. "Of course, Gaston," Belle said. "Done," Gaston agreed and let Belle pass. She ran out of the room to go find her father. "This is perfect. I can have a new trophy for my collection and a new wife at the same time," Gaston said to Lefou. "What if you never find this Beast?" Lefou wondered. "Nonsense. No beast can escape me," Gaston said confidently. *** Gaston took up a coat, his musket, his bow and arrows, and his hunting knife for his journey. Confident he would be able to slay the beast in a short time, he didn't bother taking a lot of food with him. He went into the forest filled with wolves on his path towards the mountains. He never had any doubt that Belle was telling the truth about this legendary castle. At night, the wolves came out and surrounded him. "You don't seem to understand who I am," Gaston said to the wolves. They attacked him anyway and Gaston used everything at his disposal to defend himself. He shot his musket, quickly shot off an arrow, and then wrestled with the wolves with his hunting knife and fist. Eventually, the wolves took off. Gaston was wounded slightly but his main annoyance was that his coat got shredded. It was starting to get cold, and he didn't want to be out in the snow in the woods. With greater urgency now, Gaston made his way through the forest and came across the castle. Smiling at his success, Gaston went past the gate towards the castle doors. Without knocking, Gaston kicked the doors open and went inside. Without bothering to close the doors behind him, Gaston was on the hunt for the Beast. Lumiere, an enchanted candle stick, and Cogsworth, an enchanted clock, both stared at Gaston as he went through the castle. "He must have got lost in the woods," Lumiere said naively. "Of course not. He's a hunter. Our master is in danger," Cogsworth said anxiously. The two wandered off to get the master. As Gaston searched around the castle, the Beast became alerted to him. "There's a stranger here," Beast growled while on all fours. He was covered in thick brown fur, a Lion's face, horns like that of a buffalo, clawed hands and feet, and a wolf tail. He was clothed in simple shorts and a red cape that was old and ragged. The Beast looked more animal than humanoid. "I have come to alert you, master, that he is a hunter and a threat to the castle," Cogsworth said immediately. The Beast sneered and then went to confront the hunter. Gaston was suddenly surprised by the Beast in one of the rooms he entered. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" the Beast demanded and then swiped at Gaston. Gaston's musket was flung across the room and fell in the fireplace ruining it. Gaston looked at the Beast in shock at the size and look of the creature and the destruction of his prized musket. He quickly took out his bow, but the Beast snapped it in two before Gaston could reach for an arrow. Gaston then took out his knife. The Beast and Gaston briefly struggled. Gaston was quickly defeated by the Beast's brute strength. After disarming Gaston, the Beast physically subdued Gaston. A beaten Gaston was thrown into the Beast's dungeon. "You're my prisoner now," the Beast growled at Gaston as he left. "No, you can't leave me to die here," Gaston shouted after him. The Beast ignored Gaston and used Lumiere to light his way back to the upper floors. "Master, this man is the first person to visit the castle in years. He could be our link to the outside world," Lumiere advised. "Are you saying I should free him?" the Beast asked incredulous. "Have him go back to the village and then more may come to the castle, a beautiful maiden perhaps?" Lumiere suggested. "Absolutely not. If that man is allowed free, he will bring an army of men to sack the castle," Cogsworth rejected. "It is the only way to break the spell. We don't have much time," Lumiere argued. "Maybe, I will always be a monster," Beast said sadly. "Master, you cannot give up. We're all counting on you," Lumiere said. Beast gave him a dismissive sad look and then went to his chambers. *** As soon as the Beast disappeared, Gaston smiled as he considered his next plan of action. He looked at the lock carefully and then devised a way to escape. In no time, Gaston had escaped his prison cell. Still, he had no weapons to fight the Beast. He figured he could find some in the castle itself. He found a room filled with knight armor. Seeing a pike, he tried to take it from one of the armored knights. The knight refused to give it up frustrating Gaston. He then looked through other rooms of the castle. In one such room, he saw destroyed furniture, old junk, a portrait that was slashed up, and towards the end of the room a glowing red rose. Intrigued, Gaston came closer to the rose and took the vase protecting the rose. The magical rose glowed and was suspended in the air an inch above the table. It was almost out of petals, only one remained. Gaston reached out to touch the rose and felt a tingle as he touched the last petal. He then heard an animal grunt as the Beast entered. Gaston quickly looked for a weapon but found nothing. "Do you know what you could have done!" the Beast shouted at him. "What's so special about a rose, Beast?" Gaston asked disrespectfully. "GET OUT!" the Beast roared. "Fight me, Beast," Gaston challenged raising his fists. The Beast wrestled with Gaston briefly and punched him out the window onto the balcony. They continued to struggle until the Beast swiped at Gaston sending him off the balcony. Immediately, the Beast regretted the swipe as he realized Gaston could have been killed. Thankfully, Gaston hit a tree which slowed down his descent down. He fell in the snow a defeated and beaten man. Satisfied Gaston was still alive, the Beast turned away from the window. Gaston's clothes were ripped up, and he had no supplies. He decided to make his way back and try again later. *** Lumiere and Cogsworth approached Beast after the incident. "Master, he will never make it back to town. He will be eaten by wolves," Lumiere exclaimed. "Let him die. He deserves it for invading the Master's house," Cogsworth said. Beast became conflicted between them. "Master, is he not your prisoner? You cannot allow your prisoner to die in the woods," Lumiere reasoned. Beast nodded realizing Lumiere was right. *** Gaston became surrounded again by wolves without a weapon this time. "Come and get it," Gaston said raising his fists. The wolves went to attack him but suddenly Beast intervened with a roar that echoed through the forest. The wolves were not deterred and attacked Beast. Gaston watched in amazement as Beast battled the wolves and flung them against trees. The wolves then retreated but Beast was wounded. Gaston saw his chance to strike with a broken tree branch but then thought better of it. This creature had saved his life even after he had tried to kill it. Even with the tree branch, he would still probably lose and the Beast would surely kill him this time. To his surprise, the Beast collapsed in the snow. Gaston smiled at his good fortune. He took the broken tree branch to slam it on the Beast's head. After he had killed the Beast, Belle would be his. Still, Gaston's sense of honor was getting in the way. He wanted to kill the Beast while he was awake and healthy. It would be unsporting to kill the Beast this way. On the other hand, the people at the tavern would never know the true story. Could he sit there drinking beer with the Beast's head mounted on his wall and not feel ashamed? Even so, he needed to kill the Beast to gain Belle's hand. The decision was obvious. He placed the tree branch near Beast's head. An image of the red rose appeared in his mind. How did it glow and float in the air? What was that tingle that went through him? Why did the Beast care about it? Curiosity, honor, and a small bit of compassion forced Gaston's hand. He took hold of the Beast's body and dragged it back to the castle. Even with his great strength, the Beast's weight made it a struggle. He finally brought the Beast into the castle. *** While the Beast was still unconscious, he had some time to get himself together. His clothes were ruined and needed to be replaced. "Servant dresser, fetch me something to wear," Gaston ordered the wardrobe dresser. "How rude!" the dresser replied annoyed. "Let's see what I got," she considered. The doors flew open and a dress came out. "Do you think I am amused? I should take you apart piece-by-piece," Gaston said to the dresser. "Fine, here you are," the dresser said giving him a princely uniform. Gaston looked at the clothes disgusted but had no other choice. He went downstairs in his new clothes and looked over the Beast who was hung over in his chair. Gaston waited for the Beast to finally wake up. Mrs. Potts as a tea pot got the warm water. Gaston was unnerved by the assortment of servants turned objects but was getting used to it. He expertly cleaned the Beast's wounds earning some growls. "That hurts!" Beast raged as Gaston cleaned the wound. "Just hold still, Beast," Gaston said rudely. "If you had never come, this wouldn't have happened," Beast said angrily. "If you hadn't imprisoned your guest, this wouldn't have happened," Gaston pointed out. "A guest does not try to hunt his host," Beast countered. "How was I supposed to know you were once a man, Beast," Gaston shot back. "What difference does it make?" Beast questioned. "If you were a real Best, I would mount your head on my wall," Gaston said. "As if you could," Beast replied. "You took me by surprise or do you think you can live after being shot by my gun?" Gaston asked. "You were caught by surprise, because you are a poor hunter. You're more ego than skill," Beast said. "This is not the time to fight. You both could have died," Mrs. Potts reminded them. "Of course, I can't fight him now. I'll wait for him to heal before we begin again and this time I will win," Gaston said arrogantly. "What!" Beast roared. "I can kill you now if I wanted to. Get out." "Now, let's not be hasty," Mrs. Potts said trying to reduce the tension. Gaston merely smirked and then suddenly fell to the ground. "What's wrong with him?" Lumiere asked. Gaston could feel his insides burning but didn't understand what was happening to him. He felt weaker and sickly. He finally stopped struggling and collapsed. Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Potts wondered what to do. "Take him upstairs," Beast said finally. *** Gaston awoke in the guest room still feeling sickly. Mrs. Potts was there to pour him some tea. "How long?" Gaston wondered. "You've been asleep all day," Potts told him. "The Beast?" Gaston wondered. "The master will visit you when you're well," Potts said simply. "Why do you call that creature, master?" Gaston asked ignorantly. "He was the prince and lord of this castle before he was transformed by the witch," Potts said. "Why was he transformed?" Gaston asked. "An old beggar woman came to the castle asking for shelter and gave the prince a rose as her only way to pay him. In his selfishness and pride, he turned the old woman away. The old woman then became a beautiful enchantress who then cursed the prince by transforming him into a horrible beast. The master must find true love before his 21st birthday, or we all remain as we are forever," Potts said sadly. "The rose?" Gaston wondered. "The rose is to remind him of how much time he has left. There is only one petal left," Potts explained. Gaston now understood why the Beast was so enraged. The Beast wasn't an animal that could be hunted for game. He was a former prince and lord of a giant castle and estate. If he could find the Beast true love, perhaps the restored prince would be gracious to him. Gaston smiled at the prospect. Gaston got out of bed but felt very weak. He opened the curtains and allowed the sun to shine through. "Oh my," Potts said upon seeing him. Gaston's muscular physique had dramatically decreased. Gaston looked like he had lost a lot of weight and muscular size. Gaston could see his shrunken face in his reflection on the glass of the window. "Mirror," Gaston demanded. A servant turned into a mirror presented herself. Gaston took the mirror and looked himself over. His masculine looking face and obvious chin were starting to disappear. His hair was longer as well. "What has happened to me?" Gaston choked. He was absolutely horrified by what he was seeing. In the span of a day, he had lost years of physical training. "How interesting," the dresser said fascinated. "You did this to me," Gaston accused no one in particular. "Lumiere and Potts gave each other looks wondering the same thing. "You're just famished. Let us make you dinner," Lumiere suggested. Gaston merely nodded. "You will love the food we can cook here," Lumiere assured Gaston. Once Gaston was out of the room Cogsworth and Potts looked at each other. "He touched the rose didn't he?" Cogsworth speculated. "I think he did," Potts agreed. *** After a rather dramatic dinner with the servants, Gaston felt a little better about himself. Until he was better, it was unwise for him to leave the castle to go back to the village. The Beast could have him taken back to the village with his own carriage but decided to not tell Gaston of this convenience. The hunter was the only one to stay on the grounds in many years. He didn't want to lose him even if he was an enemy. There was also something about him that interested the Beast. He couldn't figure out what it was though. On the snow, the Beast followed Gaston around as he marched around the perimeter of the castle. Suddenly, the Beast was hit with a snowball. Gaston grinned as he had snow in his hands. "Are you incapable of throwing a snowball with those claws, Beast," he said rudely. Beast glared at Gaston and gathered a large amount of snow and then held it up over his head to throw. Gaston fired another snowball at Beast's face casing the large snowball over his head to fall on top of him. The two continued to fight throwing snowballs at one another while the servants watched on. Gaston then overexerted himself and collapsed in the snow just as Beast threw a large snowball on him. Beast immediately came to his aid. Gaston was weakening and the clothes he was given no longer fit. The Beast took Gaston's body over his shoulders back inside the castle. *** As Gaston slept, Beast had a discussion with his servants Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Potts. "What is happening to him?" "Master, I believe he is becoming a maiden," Potts said. "But how?" Cogsworth wondered. "I got it! The rose caused it," Lumiere exclaimed. "Why would the rose cause it?" Beast asked. "Maybe, you were cursed when you touched the rose instead of the enchantress' wand," Potts said. "Perhaps, if we all touch the rose, we will change back," Lumiere considered. "Or we could be turned into something worse," Cogsworth warned. "How could it be worse?" Lumiere asked him. "We could remain objects forever and master may never become human again," Cogsworth reminded him. "We cannot send him away until we fix this," Beast decided. "What if this person is the one to break the spell," Lumiere said. "What?" Beast asked incredulous. "If he becomes a woman, it would fulfill the spell," Potts agreed. "The spell requires true love's kiss," Cogsworth recalled. "I'll do it. It's not just myself at stake but all the servants. I won't condemn the entire staff to live as objects forever," Beast said finally. "That man will have to love you in return," Potts brought up. "What should I do?" Beast asked. "I have some ideas," Lumiere smiled. *** Beast invited Gaston to meet with him for breakfast. Gaston looked smaller, shorter, and sickly as if he was suffering from a fatal disease. He barely ate anything. Beast looked at him sympathetically and forgot about his hideous appearance for the moment. Gaston followed Beast into the library. "As my guest, you may read anything from this room." Gaston gave Beast an embarrassed look. "I can't read," he admitted. Beast gave him a shocked look. "I can teach you," he offered. "Why? What for?" Gaston asked unmotivated. Beast tried to think of a reason. "There are stories of heroes, hunters, and wild beasts." Gaston seemed intrigued by this. "Teach me to read, and I will read those books," he said. Beast and Gaston shook hands and so their lessons began. *** From that time on, Gaston seemed to be getting better but too weak to go back to the village. Beast was also stalling Gaston. The two worked together on shared interests: archery, fencing, hand-to-hand combat, and reading heroic novels. Gaston completely forgot about Belle as Beast bettered his life. The servants always gave Gaston the best clothes and food. He lived in luxury even as a prisoner of the grounds. As the servants looked on, Beast and Gaston engaged in an epic fencing duel in the ballroom hall. Beast was clumsy with the sword with his paw hands and Gaston had lost his athletic ability. The two dueled to a draw and ended on positive terms. The servants began to wonder if there was something there between the two. *** Meanwhile, Lefou started calling for the town's people to storm the legendary castle to rescue or avenge Gaston from the Beast. "Gaston is locked away in some tower. We have to save him," he said hysterically. "If Gaston could be locked up, what chance do we have?" one man said. "We're strong if we work together," Lefou said. "Yeah, let's save Gaston," another agreed. "Kill the Beast!" Lefou began the chant. The men in tavern took up pitchforks, clubs, and other weapons to storm the castle. Belle watched the town's people in amazement as they headed towards the castle. She shook her head in amusement. The castle didn't exist outside of a story, she thought. *** As the town's people began their march, Beast had a heart-to-heart conversation with Gaston. "Why did you come here?" Beast asked. Gaston decided to tell the whole truth and was embarrassed by it. "I wanted to impress a woman in the village. She said she would marry me if I brought back you as a trophy." "And you believed her?" Beast asked surprised. "Yes..." Gaston said and then had an epiphany. "She wasn't ever going to marry me," he realized. "Stay with me here in the castle," Beast offered. "You can hunt on the grounds whenever you like." "What would I do for you in return?" Gaston asked. Beast considered what excuse he would use. "You could be my royal bodyguard." Gaston smiled. "Deal." *** The townspeople finally came upon the castle and gathered at the door. It was night and they all had torches. Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Potts saw the mob with alarm. "We must alert the master," Lumiere said. "Prepare the castle's defenses," Cogsworth added. Potts came upon the Beast who was oblivious to the mob. "The castle is under attack," she said. Beast looked out the window and saw the mob outside pounding on the door with a large piece of wood. Gaston saw Lefou out front. "They're here to rescue me," Gaston realized. "If he shows his face to the crowd, they will stop their attack," Lumiere said. "I will go out to them," Gaston agreed. *** As the mob pounded on the doors, the doors then opened revealing Gaston. "Good people, there is no need to rescue me. In fact, I killed the Beast!" Gaston said in his most confident voice. He worked hard to try to keep his voice from cracking. The town's people looked at Gaston bewildered. Gaston revealed a large rug made from a bear's fur. The town's people nodded believing the story. "Do any of you have a horse?" Gaston asked. "Absolutely, Gaston," Lefou said handing him one. "Back to town, all drinks are on me," Gaston said victoriously. The town's people then walked back to town singing songs of Gaston's heroic deeds. Gaston told the men the stories he had read in the novels as if he had done them. The ignorant town's people believed everything he said. Gaston placed his bear rug inside his tavern and gave everyone a round of drinks. "How did you kill the Beast?" Lefou asked curiously. "Well, my musket didn't fire from having the powder getting wet. The beast then swiped my bow out of my hands. It was then that I used my knife and wrestled the beast," Gaston bragged. *** All the women loved and all the men envied Gaston's heroic accomplishments. Even so, Gaston was only interested in impressing Belle. He went over to her house the next day while her father was away at a fair. "Gaston, what a pleasure," Belle said politely. "I brought back your beast. It's in my tavern as a rug," Gaston gave her a smile. "I saw it. That's not the beast," she smiled. "What?" Gaston asked with false surprise. "The Beast looks like this," Belle said showing him the book. The one picture in the book showed a picture of the legendary Beast. It looked exactly how the real Beast looked. Gaston then realized his mistake. "Even if I had brought back the real Beast, you wouldn't have married me," he realized. "I'm sorry, Gaston," Belle admitted. Gaston nodded, his spirits dashed. Belle didn't even look the same to him anymore. Something about her was different this time. He then realized the Beast's predicament. Surely, the Beast and Belle would get along well. "Belle, the Beast does exist in the castle in the mountains. It's just like your story," Gaston told her. "So, the truth comes out," she said amused. "Yes, but the Beast is a man," Gaston continued. "Who is under a spell that only true love's kiss can break?" Belle guessed. "Yes, that's right," Gaston said. "He has a large library filled with novels, dozens of servants, and everything you could want. You should be with him, not me," Gaston said selflessly. "For the first time, you're thinking about someone other than yourself," Belle smiled at him. Gaston nodded. It felt good helping his new friend end his curse and find love. Belle then frowned. "But, it would never work," she said. "Why?" Gaston asked confused. Belle looked over Gaston with interest. "You have had a few changes too, I see," she said knowingly. Gaston said nothing not wanting to admit the terrible truth. "I just said I wouldn't marry you, Gaston. It's just that you're a man, and I am not interested in men," Belle revealed. "What?" Gaston asked confused. Belle then felt Gaston's chest and found his sensitive nipples and the beginning of breasts. She squeezed his chest with desire. "My father won't be back for a few days. Let's have some fun," Belle offered. Gaston was flabbergasted as Belle kissed him. Belle aggressively moved Gaston into her room and took off her apron from her waist and then pulled down her blue dress from her shoulders. Gaston had no time to protest as she unbuttoned her white undershirt and pulled it off her shoulders and arms. Gaston simply stared at Belle's perfect breasts mesmerized. Belle encouraged Gaston to get on her bed as she kissed him. "Belle, what has gotten into you?" Gaston asked stupefied. Belle silenced him with a kiss and took off his belt. Throwing the belt aside, she took off his red shirt. Gaston became embarrassed and anxious over his expanding nipples and breasts. Belle kissed his sensitive nipples. Gaston squirmed and moaned as Belle kissed his breasts. Once Belle was done, she rubbed her breasts on his. "Thank you, Gaston," Belle smiled and kissed him a few times before exiting the room. A flabbergasted Gaston got dressed and exited the house as quickly as he could. *** As the days went by, Gaston faced more changes. His breasts were becoming larger and more sensitive. He was also losing whatever muscular definition he had left. He no longer felt confident he could win in a bar fight. His plan to either marry Belle or give Belle to the Beast to break the curse was no longer possible. Gaston needed advice and what better friend than Lefou in a tavern drinking beer. Gaston sat on his throne chair drinking a beer when he sought Lefou over to him. "You see, I have this friend," Gaston began. "Right," Lefou said not catching on. "He's willing to sacrifice his freedom and respect to be a royal prince's servant. Should he take the position?" Gaston asked nonchalant. Lefou didn't see the irony of the situation. He, himself, had sacrificed freedom and respect to be Gaston's lackey. "I would say, he shouldn't take it," Lefou said honestly. "Why not?" Gaston asked curiously. "What if the prince really needed this servant?" "Nothing is more important than one's freedom and respect, am I right?" Lefou asked the crowd. The crowd generally grunted in the affirmative and raised their glasses to Lefou. "Still, I have been thinking," Gaston continued. "A dangerous pastime," Lefou warned. "I know," Gaston admitted. "Would you do anything for a friend who was in need?" "Absolutely," Lefou agreed. A drunkard came over to Gaston's chair. "It sounds like you're looking to go back to that castle and become some prince's butler," he joked. "Watch yourself, this is the great Gaston," Lefou said defensively. Gaston glared at the man. "Who do you think you are drunkard?" "I bet a drink to all of you that I could beat Gaston in a fight," the drunkard said. "Let's not be hasty, friend," Gaston said realizing his present condition. "Gaston will crush you," Lefou said. "We'll see," the drunkard said raising his fists. "This is unnecessary. I don't want to hurt you," Gaston said standing up from his throne. "You a coward, Gaston?" the drunkard asked. Gaston faced his opponent and threw a punch. It was slow and the drunkard easily dodged it. Gaston then received the beating of his life as the drunkard hit him several times across the tavern. Gaston found himself stunned hanging onto the bar to keep from falling. He turned around and steadied himself. He tried to punch at the drunkard but missed each time. The drunkard punched Gaston to the chin sending him to the floor. The tavern was silent as Gaston couldn't get back up. Even Lefou was embarrassed by Gaston's weakness. The men who worshiped Gaston looked at him in shock. "Gaston?" Lefou wondered. Gaston was humiliated and disgraced in his own tavern. Angrily, he reached for his knife to stab the drunkard. The drunkard easily disarmed Gaston and kicked him out of his own tavern into the cold outside. Gaston felt his lip and saw blood on his hand. He was ruined utterly. The reputation he had built for himself was in shambles and his marriage proposal to Belle was impossible. Gaston approached the window and saw all the men celebrating the drunkard who had won the fight. Even Lefou was laughing and wanting to be the drunkard's sidekick. Betrayed, Gaston went home. *** Resolved, Gaston went through the forest and up the mountain to the castle to see if he would be taken back. His pride thoroughly destroyed, Gaston faced an uncertain future. He had to reverse the curse or something even worse would happen. Gaston didn't want to even think about it. As he came closer to the castle, he felt his body becoming weaker. He knocked on the door and expected to be rejected. The door was open, so he simply went inside. "Beast?" Gaston shouted, his voice cracked as he did. Lumiere and Cogsworth came out to meet him. "Where is the Beast?" Gaston asked concerned. "The master is not well. In an effort to save us all, he drank poison. He hoped his sacrifice would save us all," Lumiere said sadly. "I told him it wouldn't work," Cogsworth said sadly. "May I see him?" Gaston asked. Gaston was escorted to Beast's room in the West Wing near the magic rose and found himself sleeping and barely alive. His bed was on the balcony to give him fresh air. Had he been human, he would have perished already. Potts was present looking after Beast. "Let's give them some time alone," Potts said to the other servant objects in the room. Once everyone was gone, Gaston looked upon Beast with sadness. He had been too late. Gaston knelt near Beast and covered his face. "I am a fraud, an arrogant fool," Gaston said becoming self-aware of himself. "I do not deserve your friendship or your love, prince," Gaston said no longer referring to him as a beast. Gaston then considered a crazy idea that could save them both. He leaned over the Beast and kissed him on the lips. Gaston half-expected something magic to happen but nothing did. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the last rose petal fall. It was over. He had failed. The servants looked down depressed at their circumstances. A shower of colorful magical energy then hailed down on Beast and Gaston. The Beast's body rose from the ground and glowed with magical energy. Gaston could only stare in shock as the Beast began to transform before his eyes. The Beasts claws became nails, his hands became smaller, and the brown shaggy fur disappeared. Then, the Beasts wolf like feet became smaller and human. His lion-looking face transformed in a flash of light becoming human once again, and his hair became long blond human hair. His body became smaller and shorter resembling a human and then the former Beast stood on the balcony floor. Gaston could only stare at the human being in front of him. The only thing that resembled the Beast was the eyes. Standing in front of Gaston was a beautiful blond woman with blue eyes. She looked at her hands and her bare feet in amazement. She touched her lips and sensed they were now human. She touched her face and scalp making sure the horns were gone. "I'm me," she said in a feminine voice. "You are? I thought you were a..." Gaston said confused. "A prince?" she smiled. She went up to Gaston and kissed him. "What does it matter?" she asked him. Gaston stared at her in shock. "Why would you want someone like me?" "Is that humility I sense in you?" she smiled mockingly. She touched his manly chest full of chest hair and then his powerful arm muscles. "We've both changed," she said. Gaston felt his body and realized that at the same time she had changed, he had added muscle mass and was completely a man again. Relieved, he kissed her again. "Thank you, for coming back," she said gratefully. "I should have never left," Gaston replied apologetically. "Promise never to leave my side?" she asked hopefully. "I promise," Gaston agreed. Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Potts entered the balcony all human and wearing their old uniforms. "Is that you, Princess Andrea," Mrs. Potts said tearfully. "Yes, has everyone changed back?" Andrea asked hopefully. "I believe they have," Lumiere said confidently. "It's nice to see you back in right form, Sir...I mean, Ma'am," Cogsworth said awkwardly. Andrea embraced all three of her servants in happy celebration that the curse was over. *** The castle soon became restored to its past glory. The paintings, furniture, and each room were restored to before the spell had cursed them all. When it was all finished, Gaston and Andrea danced in the ballroom with all the servants looking on. Meanwhile, Belle was at the end of her book. She had a quill and ink near her. She, in fact, had not been "reading" the book but was rather "writing" the book the whole time. She wrote down a grand ballroom scene where the hunter got down on one knee and proposed to the princess who graciously accepted. Belle smiled as she wrote "The End" to her story and then closed the book.

Hunter Prey

Lacrima picked her way through the rubble and debris of the broken town. Barely a few months before, this had been a bustling stronghold, a last outpost of the dwindling human race. Now it lay decimated, open to the bleak skies like an eviscerated corpse. The half-elf scouted the area alone, checking for signs of life or, more importantly, signs of demonic infestation. Her sharp eyes scanned the ruins of each building intently, the deep green of her irises glittering in the fading light...

Hunter Ch 0102

Beepbeepbeep…beepbeepbeep. Hunter opened his eyes from his doze and carefully reached up to retrieve his watch from his forehead. His heart started accelerating in anticipation. Pressing the light button on the watch, he checked the time, he had 4 minutes, forty seconds to go. The altimeter gave the altitude at 34,000 feet. Putting on the watch and slipping the GPS from its strap, Hunter verified that they were still on track. Replacing the GPS, he quickly reached in an inside pocket and...

Andersonville 12 The Day Linda Anderson Came To Town

I slid the report into the proper file just as he walked into the room. Dennis Butz stood there wearing his three-piece suit, looking as handsome and charming as any man could. But I was not to be tamed by his charm. "Hello, Linda," he said with a friendly grin. "Judge Herns isn't in today," I replied back in a frosty tone. "I'm not here to see her." "My plane leaves in less then an hour Dennis, what do you want?" I slammed the file drawer shut and walked past him to my desk...

“Go inside, do as I say, don’t make a sound, and you don’t die. Got it?” Hunter growled into her ear and Paige lifted her hands in compliance. Forcing her inside he pulled a zip tie from his pocket and zipped her hands together. Dropping her bag on the floor Hunter found her bedroom and forced her inside throwing her onto her bed. He looked at her, face down, and admired her ass in her yoga pants and he could see the outline of her underwear through it. He heard her crying into her pillow, and...

Hunter HuntedChapter 8 Slaves to the man

Shadow waved Hunter and Mirage toward the chairs that sat in front of his desk. Mirage sat, glancing over and meeting Hunter's eyes. He shrugged and then his gaze went to Shadow as the director of ASP sank down in the chair behind the desk. "Have either of you ever seen one of the shells acting like that?" Mirage shuddered. "No. I hate the damn things anyway." "I can understand that. I just need to know if we're going to have a problem with a new strain of Vampire poison." "Well,...

Hunter HuntedChapter 12 The creepy shell

Mira followed Hunter into the ASP Building, veering off to the side of the main lobby. Down a long hallway there was three investigation room and a hallway that led to a wide set of stairs. They turned to go up the stairs, barely glancing at the other agents they passed. Down another hall were the team leaders and Shadow's office. They stopped at his shut door, Hunter letting Mira catch up before they pounded on Shadow's door. "Come!" "Oh hell, he sounds grumpy." "Mira, honey, do me...

Hunter HuntedChapter 11 Mirage in Love

"Protection?" Hunter mumbled, staring down and into her face. "Yes, you know, to keep women from having babies? Condoms?" "You can't get pregnant..." he began then heard her laugh. "Yeah, I thought that same thing before Lineal and I got married. I was already three months along when we finally spoke our vows. After that, we were very careful." Hunter's hand slid down from her shoulder, slicking across her breasts before ending against her flat, muscled stomach. "Y-you could be...

Hunter and the DancerChapter 16

I COULD SMELL SALT in the air when we stepped off the train in Nice. The sun was slipping towards the horizon. I was antsy, not having moved enough during the long trip down. Callie, despite being lost in thought at what she’d learned, appeared to be okay, flashing me easy smiles every time she caught me studying her. A cab dropped us at another mid-level yet expensive hotel two blocks from the waterfront. I wanted to walk, to burn off nervous energy. After depositing our bags in the nicely...

Hunter and the DancerChapter 22

Montreal was a real contrast. The outskirts, from the commercial port where we’d docked to the center city, was an industrial wasteland mixed with depressing, drab homes in characterless neighborhoods. The city center was charming and full of character, old buildings mixed with modern office blocks, broad avenues and quaint side streets, café, bistros, and restaurants giving the city a European feel. We had time for a delectable lunch of Nova Scotia lobster before catching the Greyhound bus....

Hunter HuntedChapter 4 Hunter

Mirage rose to fill his glass after he drained it then returned to her seat, crossing her legs uncomfortably. She wasn't used to being dressed like this in front of anyone but Lineal and Lynette and she was feeling a bit naked in front of Hunter. It might have helped if he wasn't looking at her the way he was, as if she were sitting here in that extreme state of undress. She drank more of her whiskey, clearing her throat. "Okay, anytime you want to start. I don't have all night...

Hunter HuntedChapter 20 The Conclusion

Hunter's heart was beating too hard. His eyes were swollen from his tears and he couldn't look away from Mirage's dead face. She was beautiful even in death, incredibly lovely almost as if she were sleeping. He could feel his fellow ASP members around them and knew they wanted him to give up her body, to let her go back to the ASP office for internment. But he couldn't do it. He couldn't let them take her from him or think of letting her go into the cold dark of the burial floor at ASP....

Hunter HuntedChapter 6 A Cleansing Experience

Mira woke easily when her alarm went off at six a.m. Even the late night and the amount of alcohol she drank last night couldn't dispel the good mood she woke up in. Hunter thought he'd beaten her. He'd thought she would trot her little ass over to his house and scrub his floors and clean out his refrigerator while his briefs were drying in the dryer. He had a lot of thinks coming if he thought she'd be the dutiful little maid service and fluff and fold. A giggle escaped her as she...

Hunter HuntedChapter 9 A Monsters Awakening

Harsh cries came from his mouth as the terrible agony flooded his body. It was growing worse by the minute, and he rolled, fighting the straps that held him to the bed. Blood ran thick in his veins, too thick. He needed to feed, he needed the release but every movement he made seemed to trap him worse. "Braxton!" he screamed, throwing his head back. His voice was guttural, almost as thick sounding as his blood that flowed heavily through his veins. Then he calmed, his eyes resting upon the...

Hunter and the DancerChapter 11

THE ROAD WAS SINUOUS, winding through a canopy of trees. This part of San Sebastián was beautiful, bucolic. Around a bend Pedro Margules’ estate appeared; a tall stone wall topped with nasty-looking spikes, and a double solid wooden gate. There must have been a sensor. As I pulled up, a small door inset into the left gate opened and a simply dressed young man emerged. I noticed the loose cotton shirt and how it draped, hiding a pistol. “Sí?” “Estoy aquí para ver Señor Margules. Me llamo...

Mira's screams could be heard from the hallway by Shadow and his party. They sounded horrified and as if she was in pain. Shadow glanced over at Angel and Marcus, nodding at the door, then he disappeared into the wall. Marcus wrestled open the door, tearing it almost off of its hinges. He ran in first, his recently reworked blaster leading the way. In front of him there was nothing but splotches of an orange colored goop. But he could still hear the shrieks of the other teams echoing...

Callie watched the countryside pass in a blur, the TGV, France’s high-speed train racing at over three hundred kilometers an hour. Across from her Hunter was absorbed in the laptop. “You promised to tell me what the microdot contained,” she reminded him. He shut the laptop, pushed it aside, leaned back, and looked out the window. “You’ve heard about the Israeli-Palestinian peace accord?” “Sure,” Callie nodded. Mirage waited, knowing that the buzz of the insanity was coming, that she'd just ruined Hunter's life. She kept her eyes tightly closed, her wrist still pressed against his face. "Mira?" His voice, still soft and completely sane had her opening her eyes and staring up at him in shock. "You're not..." She couldn't even finish the question. "You're..." "What the fuck is that?" Mira gasped. It was a continuous growl, one that sounded inhuman and hungry and twenty times as big as the biggest of the Zombie girls. Hunter leaned against the door as the heavy metal rattled as if something much bigger wanted to open the door and make their acquaintance. He could feel the power that leaked through the metal and the thoughts that tried hard to leach into his brain. He fought it, moving bare inches from the metal. When his skin no longer touched...

How’s my favorite niece doing today?” Mike called back as he brought the boat up to the dock. “I’m fine,” Karen answered as she caught the rope he tossed to her. Hunter's engaging smile was long gone before Dianna finished Mirage's story. A strange pang started in his chest, surprising him. Hearing of how Lineal and Lynette, Mirage's husband and daughter had been put to death was heartbreaking. He could almost feel their pain. The scorch of the whip was a terrible thing. The hallway was empty. It wasn't just empty, it seemed down right desolate. Angel spun down the hall, walking carefully and covering every angle that she could. This was the third hallway that they had cleared. Another twenty ASP workers were now on their way to Conference room eight. Hunter the Last MissionChapter 6

Anna's things were still here, where was she? I heard a strangled moan from the bedroom. Her nude form was on the floor writhing. She was trying to scream but couldn't draw in enough air to do so. Every tortured inhalation was cut short by a gasp of pain. A trail of water led from the shower she had loved so much. As quickly as I could, I entered her mind and stopped the pain. I don't think there was an unbroken bone in her body and what else he had done to her was anybodies guess –...

Andrea Standing part 2 of Andreas Stand

Andrea Standing (part 2 of Andrea's Stand) A note at the beginning. One of the problems with writing a serial story is that the author feels a need to recap what happened in the prior portions. Please go back and read part 1, "Andrew Running". It will make this a better story. Briefly Andrew at 19, abused by his father, runs away to a distant relative, Aunt Clara. Andrew goes along with a joke played by Clara's lover Marnie, and ends up as Andrea working in Marnie's luxury used car...

Hunter and the DancerChapter 18

Callie studied their stateroom with pleasure. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was neat, clean, functional, and spacious with several portholes giving a view of the sea. The bathroom was spotless, towels clean. While unpacking, she smiled to herself. This was so unexpected. The Canada Senator was a working container ship. At first glance when they’d arrived at the commercial docks, she’d seen a rusting blue ship piled high with different colored containers; so high she wondered how the ship...

Callie was still sound asleep, gone to the world, when I rose at five-thirty. In the kitchen, with a mug of freshly brewed coffee, I got to work. Phone calls to acquaintances led me to Paula Tasker, only twenty-five, yet her reputation was already widely respected. I told her what I was looking for. We bargained over the fee. She accepted. Calls to acquaintances in Switzerland solved another part of my plan. And, at six-thirty in the morning, Friday, I called the White House. Lucas Smith...

CALLIE YAWNED AND STRETCHED. Her body felt bruised and sore like she did after a long, hard dance workout. She smiled. She had danced, just a different dance - the dance of love with Hunter. Turning her head, she saw the bed was empty. A momentary spike of fear passed when she saw him sipping coffee at the small table by the porthole. Why didn’t he ever sleep in? Her bladder called. Call me Hunter. Just ... Hunter. Don't try tacking on some stupid 'Mr.' or 'Agent' or any of that shit. Hunter. It's who I am and it's what I am. Sure, the official designation is 'Tracker', but, to my mind, a tracker simply follows things. A hunter, on the other hand, follows things, then kills them. They use me, or one of the others like me, when some deviant with paranormal abilities has crossed the magic line between salvageable and disposable. Trackers, with our chemically...

I was raised on a feral wilderness planet. My father was a hunter, trapping and killing for their meat the ferocious animals that dominated the planet. My mother ran a smallholding to raise grain, fruit and vegetables, heavily protected by fortifications and electric fences. My sisters showed no aptitude or inclination for hunting but readily took to helping my mother expand her smallholding. I took to hunting like a duck to water, surpassing my father's skills by my mid-teens. I could walk...

Finally, we calmed down and tried to figure out what to do. Eventually, we decided simply to get rid of the man's body and not to say anything to anyone about what happened. Disposing of the body would be easy: all I had to do was to dump it in the pecan grove and let the wild hogs eat it. The body would be fully consumed withing two days. We stripped his body and dragged it out the door. That was easy because he was pretty well lined up with the door, so I tied his feet together and ran...

Beauty and The Beast

Through this scene there walked a girl no less beautiful than her surroundings. Slightly built and lacking society’s trained grace, she was dressed simply in a cotton dress and jacket, covered over by a plain riding cloak, its hood thrown back. She was carrying an old leather travelling bag. Any lady of good breeding would have been quick to mock her rustic appearance, the better to conceal their gall at the impossible perfection of her face. It was a face to draw the interest of both...

Hunter and the DancerChapter 13

“Are you sure it’s safe?” Callie whispered, peering around at the darkness. The rear entrance to her apartment was deserted. Distant streetlights were weak, casting a yellow glow in the alley, creating dark impenetrable shadows. I used the keys we still had to open the door. Avoiding the ancient elevator - it was too noisy and a trap if we were spotted - I led her up the stairs, pausing at every landing to check the corridors. Her front door opened silently. I paused, listening for anyone....

Or at least it did for Dr. Martin, who I walked down stairs to find on our TV screen, explaining to a phalanx of reporters that school was canceled due to the hordes of protesters blocking every road within a six block radius of the school. Mom looked up at me: "Since we don't need to rush out the door, I thought we'd have a nice, leisurely family breakfast. Why don't you and Jeff go ahead and get your showers." I went back upstairs and...

ManBeast

The beast was raging inside of me tonight. It would have to be fed. I hadn't let it feed in a long time. The last time was more than three months ago. The anger was strong, pounding in my head. Strength was coursing through my body, electric pulses making my muscles jump, twitching under my skin. I could barely drive, pressing the accelerator to the floor, pushing the car harder, driving far away from the city. The beast would need to roam tonight, and I was taking myself far into the woods...

Gaston fucks Belle Beauty and the Beast

She smiled "Good morning," then, "Please don't stop." Beast couldn't help smiling too. He nodded, bringing his lips down to her nipple and his hand toward her shaved pussy. Gently, he put one of his fingers inside her tight hole and wiggled it. She was very sensitive down there; she began to moan and lift her ass up from the bed. Beast had an instant hard-on. Her innocence turned him on easily. Belle lifted his face from her breast and kissed him full on the mouth, sticking...

Attack of the Beast

Attack of the Beast By Anon Allsop The brilliant sun broke over the little planet as we penetrated its atmosphere. Our mission was to see if it held potential for a small colony or mining operation. There were a total of 6 of us, including the pilot and co-pilot, but even they had duties besides flying the little craft. We all had been hand selected by our space station commander for this mission, and cross-trained so we could lend a hand, should the need arise. I studied every...

The Kringle Sisters Are Ready for ChristmasChapter 2 Gunther the Reindeer Handler Gets Laid

Jingle bells! Jingle bells! Jingle all the way! The sound of the holiday song hit Gunther's ears like an ice drift on the open sea. He tried to open his booze-laden eyes to see who was making the racket and saw it was the blasted elves again. Those holiday-enthused cretins were so full of Christmas spirit that they made a nuisance at this time of year as far back as he could remember. He wanted to shout out for them to cease and desist before he made them into little pieces of elves all...

Andrew Running Part 1 of Andreas Stand

Andrew Running (part 1 of Andrea's Stand) Chapter 1: Running I called my Aunt Clara from the bus station. She didn't seem that surprised to hear from me and when I explained why I was there she told me to walk a couple of blocks to the local diner and get myself a cup of coffee. She'd pick me up in about half an hour. I sat and sipped chocolate milk and tried to eat a pastry while I glanced nervously out of the window waiting for my father to show up and force me into his...
