of employment. The doctor was in her factory, fiddling with the

The empty safe door open, the drawers open after she had rifled through
them, looking for more cash or credit cards. The office was compact and
very utilitarian, a reflection of the doctor's cold and harsh demeanor.
The grey metal desk faced the door. Behind it, a large glass window that
opened onto the factory floor below.
Candace paused for a moment, admiring her reflection in the glass, she
fixed her hair and straightened her blouse. "I wonder who this was?" she

pilfering wardrobe items for several years, right under the doctor's nose.
The doctor was too concerned with her machines and processes to notice.
