I had just come from a meeting with the food services and supply people. We had been discussing dry goods. What we had on hand, what we needed, and what we could make ourselves. It was a long and boring meeting. After all, how much can be said for herbs and spices? I’m sure that the topic is interesting to some folks. I had to struggle to stay awake and interested. Finally, the meeting concluded, and as usual, nothing was decided, and everything was to be discussed at the next meeting, again.

As I walked away, I tried to come up with a good reason for April to attend. Then I could come up with a minor emergency and be spared. I was also thinking about lunch. All the talk of food and food preparation had given me an appetite. Spending a quiet lunch with April was sounding mighty good.

Then my communicator demanded my attention. “Captain, this is Smith in communications. We’ve got a Federated Nations Inspector demanding permission to board. What do I do?”

“Ok, Smith, we’re nice people. Give them a docking port, and I’ll meet them there.”

“I already tried that, Sir. He’s demanding that we open our flight bay for him. I tried, Sir. But he was very insistent.”

“No worries, Smith. This is what we’ll do. Call Security and let Mr. Barth know what’s going on. I want at least a platoon of his militia standing by, out of sight. Then I want the area surrounding the hanger sealed. No one in or out, unless I say so. Have you got that?”

“Yes, Sir, I’ve already notified Mr. Barth. He’s on the way.”

“Great. Once you’ve got all that, then call our visitors and grant their request. I will meet them in the hanger.”

I got to the hanger well ahead of the Federation ship. It takes time to scavenge the oxygen. We aren’t going to just throw the doors open and waste all that air. Then there is the time spent opening the hanger doors. Something that big and massive doesn’t move or stop quickly. I waited in the flight operations office with April, David Barth, who was in combat gear, and Tom Olivet, my new flight boss.

None of us had any idea what the Federated Nations could want with us. We avoided them as much as possible. They didn’t have much power here in Mars orbit, but they can be a definite pain in open space. One thing they could do is contest ownership of any number of items. Also, most of the technicians we had on board were Federal citizens, which gave them a certain level of interest.

As soon as their shuttle had settled, the doors sealed and the atmosphere back up to level, I stepped out onto the flight deck. I wasn’t dressed in any fancy or formal suit. Just my usual ships coveralls with my eagles on the collar points. My name tag and rank were prominent and easily seen. I walked to about 30 yards from the bow of the shuttle. I could see the pilot and co-pilot through the command deck portholes, and I could see that they saw me.

After about 10 minutes, I was getting irritated and about to head back to flight. When a cargo hatch on the side of the shuttle opened up. Two squads of FN soldiers spilled out and formed an honor guard. I could tell these weren’t FN Marines. The regular army was bad enough. Marines could have turned this deadly.

Then something happened, that I had only seen in old earth movies about the wet navy. A navy Ensign stepped out and started blowing a tune on a boatswains whistle. Really, an old-time boatswain whistle. What happened next was even more astounding.

The Ensign called the honor guard to attention. And out stepped the most gawd awful, overdressed, comic opera figure. He looked like he had just walked out of a parody of a Gilbert and Sullivan (not related) play.

He was short, maybe 5 foot 6 inches, heavy set. A visible 50 pounds or better of fat. He was wearing a navy-blue imitation uniform with gold and silver braids. They were everywhere, on the cuffs, the lapels, running down the pants’ outer seams, which had a 10-inch bellbottom. There was no way in hell I was going to ask how many buttons.

Next were the ribbons and medals. He had more than a North Korean General. The mixture of colors, shapes, and stripes was blinding. To top it off was his hat. Easily a foot-wide saucer cap, the same color as his uniform, with the same gold and silver braiding. If there was anything under the gold on the brim, I couldn’t see it.

As he strutted towards me, I could almost hear the drums and fifes he must have heard in his mind. When he was about a yard from me, he stopped and put his fists on his hips. His head was tilted back, and with a sneer, on his lips, he looked me up and down.

Nothing was said.

A minute passed, and still, nothing was said.

When a second minute passed, he lost patience, “Well?” He loudly proclaimed.

“Well, what? It’s your credit bub, what do you want?”

“I am Percival B. Fitzhume. I represent the Federated Nations Inspector Generals office.”

“Great Percy, I am Henry Sullivan. I am Captain of the Sewards Folly. An independent mining ship. Now that we’ve got the introductions out of the way, GET YOUR DAMNED STORMTROOPERS OFF MY DECK!”

Fitzhume got a shocked look on his face. It took a moment. Then he tried to power on “Look, Captain...”

“5,” I interrupted.

The interruption broke his chain of thought. He tried again. “Captain...”

“4,” I interrupted again.

Now his curiosity got the best of him. “What does that mean, Captain? what does 4 mean.”

“Tinhorn, that’s how much time you have before I pitch you out the nearest airlock. Which is right over there.” I pointed to the obviously open hatch of an airlock. “3”

Now he got indignant. “What? How dare you, Sir? Threatening an officer of the Federation? You could face heavy fines and possible internment.”

I grinned at him “2.”

It seemed that he still thought he had the upper hand. “Well, I don’t think you could get away with it. My escorts are armed and would cut you down before you got halfway to the airlock.”

I was still grinning, but now I showed him my teeth. Raising my voice, I called out, certain that not only April but those troopers would hear. “April, on my command, blow the seals on the hanger doors.”

I looked down into Percy’s eyes and still loud enough to be heard by the troopers. “Blowing the seals will vent this whole hanger to open space. The explosive decompression will pop those doors like a cheap bottle of wine. Sucking you, your minions, and anything not nailed down out of this hanger.”

The decompression alarm klaxon started.

“But, but, but,” he stammered “You would die also.”

Now I leaned in close to him and glared directly into his eyes. “Yup, you ready for it?” I paused for a moment. Then drew in a breath.

“No, no, no,” he turned to the honor guard who, to a man, were looking at him. “Ensign,” he squealed “Stand down. Get your men back on board the shuttle, quickly.”

Several of them were openly grinning. One even snickered. All of them were quickly hustled on board by the Ensign. As the last man boarded, he turned and looked at me. He was trying very hard not to laugh.

“Ok April, stand down.” the alarm klaxon quit.

Now I smiled down at him. “Now that we’ve taken care of that, what can I do for you and the Federation Mr. Fitzhume?”

I think this probably confused him more than anything else. We had just been a breath away from certain death. And now I was all sweetness and light.

He stammered for a moment and continued. “Captain Sullivan, as I said earlier, I am from the Federation Inspector Generals Office. We have discovered that several ships are missing from our inventory. Very important, very dangerous craft. I have received word that you are seeking to purchase new ships. Ships that would be used as scouts during your mining operations.”

I touched my index finger to my chin. My face a study in concentration. “Well, Sir, we are indeed looking to purchase ships for our flight operations. But we are looking for new craft. Not FN surplus. Those craft wouldn’t fit our needs.”

“These are not surplus ships. They may have been made several decades ago, but they have been in a mothball situation since manufacture. They are part of the fleets ready reserve.”

“Several decades? What makes you think that they have recently been stolen? Couldn’t they have been taken some time in the past? did they even exist?”

“I assure you, Sir, they do exist. And their disappearance was recent. My predecessor did an exhaustive inventory.”

“Your predecessor? Where is he at? Have you discussed this with him?”

“Well, no. He is currently unavailable.”

I was on firm ground here. This popinjay’s arrival was unexpected, unwanted, and unwarranted. But now that he had let the cat out of the bag, I knew what he was after. “He was arrested two years ago by Federation Security for misappropriation of funds. I remember the case quite clearly. I was an FN officer at the time.”

“Still, this ship is on my list of possible suspects. I require an inspection of your ship.”

Outward BoundChapter 19

My life wasn’t all Seward’s Folly. There were times that April and myself had time for ourselves and each other. This was one of those times. Or at least it started that way. April and I were playing chess and enjoying life. Then my communicator demanded attention. “Captain Sullivan here.” “Captain Sullivan, it’s good to hear your voice again.” “Commander Olivet? It’s good to hear from you. Have you decided to accept our offer? and have you found your second.” “The answer to both is, yes...

Outward BoundChapter 20

As we came into sickbay, it was a picture of organized chaos. Medical staff were scurrying about from one room to the next. You could feel the urgency in the air. And yet it was surprisingly calm and quiet. Doc Holland was standing at the central desk, talking to a formidable-looking nurse. She had a grim look on her face and was nodding her head to what Holland was saying. As he turned from her, he spotted me and started towards us. “Captain, any idea what is going on?” Before I could...

Outward BoundChapter 22

After my enforced medical vacation, life went on. Paul and his sister were doing well in school, and his mother was acclimating with the ship and the rest of the family. She was becoming quite well-liked, particularly with the parents and her students. Preparations for the coming launch were going well. I had just finished lunch with April and was going over some division reports. I wasn’t paying too much attention to the reports. My real purpose was Paul. I was waiting to begin taking him...

As we got closer to the Reclamation area, we could see the Alpha/Omega symbols on the double doors. I could also tell that Paul wasn’t happy about this visit. When we entered, a tall thin man dressed in a black suit stood up from the reception desk. “Captain Sullivan?” “Correct, are you Mr. Garcia?” “No sir, I am Jenkins. I’m a public relations specialist. Which is a fancy label for receptionist. Mr. Garcia is expecting you. Please make yourself comfortable, while I let him know you’re...

Outward BoundChapter 26

As time went by, it seemed that we weren’t making any headway. Morale started to become a problem. That’s when I started the status board. Anybody could access the display, and some of the public monitors displayed it all time. It was very simple, each division, section, and area of the ship was displayed. To the side of them was a color code. Green, yellow, and red. Red obviously meant that serious work needed to be done. Yellow meant that work was progressing but not yet finished. Green...

The Congressional meeting hall was full. All members of the ships Congress that were able to attend were there. There was a muted hum of general conversation. Everyone was aware of today’s purpose. A door at the rear of the room opened, and two men entered. One tall, well-built, and muscular. The other several inches shorter and heavyset. As they were spotted, the hall grew quiet. The shorter man, who was carrying a 6-foot staff, rapped it heavily on the deck. The iron heel of the staff was...

Outward BoundChapter 28

The gangway to the Mars station wasn’t a physical gangway. It was impossible to have a physical connection between a ship as large as the Seward’s Folly and the station. The gangway actually was a series of docking ports where shuttles could connect with the station. It was used to transfer people and small cargo. The trip from the Seward took about 45 minutes. During that time, Clyde Kennedy and his partners enjoyed themselves. Laughing and telling stories. After all, they were being set...

Outward BoundChapter 30

After the mutiny attempt, and Emily Johnson’s exile, there was a somber mood on board. I had to work very hard at stopping any suspicions from running wild. This became more than apparent with Sergeant Jones’ refugees. There was an unspoken undercurrent among the crew and family that thought that they might have been involved in the mutiny. I started meeting with them informally. For the most part, the older members were in no condition to return to work. But they were aware of the animosity...

Finally, we were there. All lights were green. It was time to launch. But first, we needed to celebrate the occasion. The ship’s congressional meeting room had again been converted to a dining room. We couldn’t fit all of the crew and the contractors in there, but most of the division heads and all of the department heads were in attendance. Throughout the ship, parties were being held in housing plazas. The wardrooms and taprooms were also busy with the singles crowd. Paul and I were on the...

The bridge was crowded. Everyone that could come up with an excuse, and some that couldn’t, were standing around. I was in the command chair. April stood to my left, and Agnes stood to my right. There had been some discussion that she be seated in the command chair. Until I pointed out that the bridge was my command, and I should be the person sitting in that chair. I did suggest that another chair be brought in for Agnes. But she laughed and informed everyone that she wasn’t so old or...

Outward Bound Book 2 of the Tufts Family SagaChapter 2 Feathered Bed

The family stood around the tanning bed, watching the timer count down the last few minutes before the process would be complete. There had been some concern that five plus hours under the highest intensity light would be too much but Tonto had assured them that every bit of the light would be converted into internal energy to fuel the organic nanites as they completed the tasks Tonto had given them. Tonto warned that she would not emerge from the bed looking like the image they had all seen...

Jason, Ellie and Val winked into existence aboard the Harvest Moon and were ushered directly into a side alcove. The Marine Captain greeted them warmly but with clear deference showing in his manor. "Jason," he said, "you are to remain here with me while the ladies are boosted up. If you would like I could give you a tour of our ship and operations." Jason was nervous but hid it well, as he understood his part in this program. He was wearing civilian clothing that looked as if it might...

The room was filled with women. Most were on the edges of the space, but the most important occupants were seated at the u-shaped table that took up the center of the room. The room grew quiet when a door opened to the side of the room next to the chair that occupied the head of the table. Agnes Seward came into the room. She was moving slowly but steadily. After the end of the Earth-Mars war, many naval personnel, from both sides, ended up in the Martian system looking for work. Some of these ex-military people ended up mining the asteroid belt. If you listened to the corporate recruiters, everybody working for them had made fortunes in the belt. If you checked around, you would soon find that working for a corporation was a form of slow suicide. Better to take a walk outside without a suit. The corporations also hired their own “Security...

Three days after my meeting with Agnes Seward, I took their shuttle over. It was just after a thoroughly disgraceful lunch when Emily received the e-mail. It was short, only one word, but it’s meaning was huge. Anyone reading it would be confused as to its meaning. Those that knew it for a coded message couldn’t even guess at the meaning. When Emily read the message, fear came over her. These messages were never to her benefit. Native American Nympho Stoner Ch 05

CONTINUED FROM CHAPTER 4 Shannon woke up the next morning lying on her back while Butch was lying to her left, on his front, still in a deep sleep. Physically, she felt dirty, with dried up piss on much of her body, especially her face and hair, and dried up blood on her thighs. She also very much smelled like Butch’s come, which had been resting in her cunt for several hours. But all of those factors made her feel sexy and kinky. And she felt on top of the world. Losing her virginity had...

The Descent of Inanna

Exile alone would never have driven me mad. My entire life, I had felt distant and out of place. Only Sin, with this teasing green eyes and quick smile had ever made me feel loved. I had loved him since we were children. When he chose prison, rather than to be exiled with me, my heart was broken. It was only by chance that I found the humans and pure coincidence that I, who was so out of favor with my own people, was readily accepted as their goddess. Though I fed on blood, I was more loved...

Coma

It is amazing how fast something can happen. Dale had pulled into the tiny little coffee stand, got a $4.95 double chocolate flavored java, tipped the scantily clad server. It was a Friday night, his work week was done, Dale stopped every Friday night for a coffee. He took a sip, it was very hot, so he reached out and set it on the dashboard, reached over and lifted the center console on his Impala Super Sport to get his coffee cup sleeve, it was one of those reuse over and over kind,...

Building the Dream Part One

I had to get a closer view so letting go of Phil I moved to the foot of the bed and peered below Jim’s thrusting arse. Jim wasn’t in her arse. Both he and Simon were in her pussy, right up to the root of their cocks and they were pounding her hard in alternate movements. There was no complaint from Jay. Building the dream: Part one A strange, but true story about what happened a few years back. So many times, I have wanted to write down what happened so it doesn’t get forgotten or changed...

Editing Reailty Book 3 Chapter 14 Editing the World

Book Three: Naughty Fantasies Unleashed Chapter Fourteen: Editing the World By mypenname3000 Copyright 2019 Note: Thanks to WRC264 for beta reading this. Steve Davies Angels crowded my bedroom. They stared at me with worship in their eyes. Sandalphon had spoken true. He knew the true name of all one thousand angels in existence. With time paused, I had edited them one by one. It was tedious, but I could feel my power swelling with each one. “Master,” Anael whimpered as she squeezed...

Blackmailed WifeChapter 6

"Mmmmm," Ann smiled, "This Martini is heavenly. I'm glad you talked me into having one." The two girls were sitting at the Patio Lounge out by the pool. The cool breeze blowing through the garden was refreshing after the hot, dusty afternoon in the Plaza de Toros. Ann felt absolutely in heaven. It had been a perfect day. She was ravenously hungry, which was a good indication of the elation she felt. "Roberto mixes the best Martini this side of the border," Julia said. "They're a...

The gift 2

Let me recap some here, Alicia and I just had an amazing fuck, she was totally into it and very willing. Ever since I fell down the stairs and Mr. Fred offered me a gift, thing started to go very strangely after that. He told me all I needed to do was think of anything and that thought would come to pass. I remember thinking of Alicia and how it would feel to fuck her, and she shuddered each time I had a thought. When we were done fucking and I deposited a large load of cum in...

Doctor Gives Mom Anal Training

Link to the first story: Link to the second story: Hi guys, this is Nosha returning for the final time with another installment of how I witnessed my mother’s indescretions. After accidentally seeing her with Mitra uncle, I had set her up for a gangbang with my driver and his friend Abdul. That had developed into another gangbang at Abdul’s garage the very next morning and I heard even Abdul’s two sons got a healthy share of her. After that morning I had noticed red marks around mom’s...

He Demon

As they say about the merits of iron versus wooden lawn furniture, "No rust for the wicker." Right in the middle of writing a gargoyle, I read an article in a newspaper that gives me an idea for another gargoyle. Since it's a Halloween-ish sort of story ("Halloweeny" sounds like a cocktail hot dog you give out to trick-or-treaters), I decided to write it now. Hope you enjoy, and YES, this was inspired by a _true_ story. More about that after the story. By the way, this story has been...

Through a Glass Dimly Book 2Chapter 13

We both woke up early, dressed, and hurriedly cooked breakfast. Paul and Linda came down and saw we were dressed to go. Linda said, “You would think they had somewhere to go today.” She and Paul laughed at our discomfiture. Lisa said, “If you two don’t get moving, we won’t let you help.” Paul said, “Where is the loss here? I can hurry to work my butt off or take it easy and get there in time to watch.” Linda and he grinned. They grabbed coffee and went upstairs and quickly came down dressed...

Living Next Door

An older story of mine, with a probably predictable outcome, but I don’t think that diminishes it any. — Nearly twenty years had passed since they moved in next door. For most of that time, Melissa and I had been friends. As children, we had played and as we got older, we became each other’s confidante, talking over the fence or in each other’s garden or house. It wasn’t as if we were alike. She grew into a beautiful ‘girlie’ girl whereas I, I have to admit, became a bit of a geek, but she...

Someone in Madras is waiting for you

Here is my experience. Enjoy!! I am staying at chennai I am 22 years old. I had a neighbor aunty teacher named Umadevi and her 2 daughters&a son old son. Uma anty was 43 years old. I called her anty, that is how I began addressing her. She was good looking and really good sexy figure. However she dressed well, not exposing much of her beauty. Come Together

Since the beginning of fiction, people have had an idea. The idea of mixing one or more characters together into one being. Gestalt, fusion, amalgam, or any number of other words for the same mean. For when someone mixes things so they come together. There are many ways to do this. One is merging characters within the same universe. Another is merging characters from different universes. Still another is merging characters from multiple universes. To see the merging of powers, the choice of...

Hips and Dips

The parking lot was one of those double-row after double-row of head-in parking. When you backed out, you could go in either direction. I had just come out of the giant discount store after picking up my monthly med refills, got in my car and backed out. When I turned back to the front to straighten out and head for the exit, there she was. I was looking at her backside, but I could tell she was young. She had blonde hair that broke into one big up-turned curl at her shoulders. However it...

Synopsis: When Frank lost a bet with his wife, it turned out to be the beginning of the game, and not the end. Can he figure out the rules and find a way to win, before he loses everything? Inspired by "The Contest" by Suejrz, this is not a rewrite but a parallel story about a different couple in a similar situation.
