Ty was sitting in the library enjoying a drink.

He was reading one of Willow’s many books. She had a whole section on Nordland and Ty was brushing up on their history, as they were the dignitaries that were coming for the Winter Season.

The fields were bare, and they had already had a light smattering of snow. As soon as the product was packed into the crates, they would head to Bavindor. One of the big barns was heated, and the bags of leaves were packed flat in set weights, on the racks to finish drying.

Ty thought of Bethany. He was sure she had grown at least two centimetres since they had been there. Grace had to sew new hems on her skirt-pants. She had used different coloured materials in a light frill that looked very cute.

Bethany hadn’t complained about the new girlish look, as long as she didn’t have to wear a real skirt. Ty had noticed the tantrums had all but disappeared. Bethany was flourishing, and she loved being with Willow. He couldn’t blame her, as he too loved being with Willow.

The damn woman only had to look at him a certain way, and he was racing her off. Grace had laughed and told him it was the same look, which had her father chasing after her mother. He had also noticed the romance flourishing between Hugh and Grace and his old friend was a very content man these days. Ty realised he too had never been happier. The last three weeks had been a balm to his soul.

Willow came in and bent to kiss him. She was soon on his lap and had a hand in her blouse for her troubles. She pulled back laughing, “Insatiable man,” she scolded him but didn’t try to remove his hand. Ty was still massaging her breast lovingly.

Willow wiggled and felt him pressing up into her butt. Ty pulled her back to his mouth. He couldn’t seem to get enough of her. The three days of her menstrual cycle earlier in the second week had been torture. Otherwise, he had bedded her every day and often twice or thrice. They didn’t stick to just the bedroom either.

He had learnt to keep a skin or two in his pocket. Willow had even let him fuck her without one for the first couple of days after her cycle. He definitely preferred without. Nonetheless, he couldn’t risk getting her pregnant. So he had to remember to wear one the rest of the time.

She was a willing and energetic partner, and he loved nothing more than sticking his cock into her. It was just as well they were leaving soon as his stock of skins was getting very low. They tended to wear them out.

Ty swapped hands and soon had one up under her skirt and pushing between her legs. Willow moaned into his mouth as his fingers penetrated her. He moved his mouth to the breast he had exposed and sucked hard on her nipple. He happily pushed his fingers in and out of her wet clamping cunnie.

Willow hung onto him as his fingers and tongue did their magic. Damn, the man only had to touch her, and she was putty in his hands. Willow soon shuddered in release. Ty slowed the action of his hand after she came, enjoying the feel of her. His cock was pulsing in his pants wanting very much to take over where the fingers left off. “Let’s go to bed,” he said.

Willow giggled, “I’m afraid our guests may not appreciate us leaving them in the parlour, while we dally more.”

“Shit, okay I’ll be there in a minute, I will need to wash up first,” he replied after licking his fingers first. Willow thumped him. Reluctantly he let Willow off his lap. She availed herself of the washroom first before going back to her guests.

Her mother had the storeroom between the Library and parlour converted into a privy with a sink and mirror. Her father had initially grumbled about the loss of his storeroom. However, it didn’t take him long to appreciate the privy rooms location. It also made quick trips by guests easier to accommodate for. The dining room was on the other side of the hallway.

Ty finally joined the visitors and took an instant dislike of the overdressed man and his wife. He was dressed as if he was a court dignity, rather than wearing the more relaxed dress of the Country Gentry. His wife was just as bad. She wore far too much jewellery and face-paint for a morning visit.

Willow introduced them as her mother’s cousins, Baron Terence Othello and his wife, Lady Beatrice. Ty bowed and joined Willow on the love seat and took her hand.

Baron Terence scowled at his familiarity with Willow. Ty didn’t care. He had felt Willow relax a little when he did, but she still wasn’t comfortable with the pair. He could feel her distaste roll off her. He knew of Baron Terence but wasn’t aware they were related to Willow.

Something in Ty’s mind worried around this new bit of information. The Barons ruled the Lower House of the Council. They decided on the most pressing issues to send to the Upper Council for the Dukes, Earls and the King to make decisions about.

Ty had noticed that Willow hadn’t offered them refreshments either. The decanter and full glass beside Baron Terence indicated that he had helped himself. Ty also noticed the level in the decanter had dropped appreciably and while it was cold outside, it was only mid-morning. ‘Interesting,’ he thought.

Willow was a very conscientious hostess. He had already picked up her cousins were not her favourite people. Her straight back reinforced her disquiet of these people being in her home. The Baron came straight to the point. “Duke Arrondale it has come to my attention that you have claimed Lady Terrell as your ward,” Baron Terence started pompously.

“I must, however, insist you pass her guardianship over to us, as we are her closest relatives. I believe as her relatives, we have an obligation to claim such a duty. My wife and I are more than willing to do so. I have already seen a lawyer and sent a petition to the King to this effect. It would expedite matters if you simply agreed and go on your way.”

He handed a document to Ty, confident that Ty could see his claim was valid and bugger off. Ty read the document and then looked at the pompous Lord. He knew of them, even if they didn’t seem to know much about him.

He hadn’t liked what he had heard about the man. Willow’s reactions only increased his distaste as well. Ty handed the document back and reclaimed Willow’s hand. He smiled at Willow gently and then returned a cold expression towards the Baron.

“Yes, as a distant relative you could claim the wardship of Willow if, her father hadn’t already made arrangements,” he told them. “However, as her betrothed, and with consultation with her lawyer that honour, is mine,” he emphasised the ‘is mine’, indicating he didn’t intend to relinquish Willow to their care.

He looked between the unhappy pair, “Mr Wickham, who had been made her legal guardian in the will, and within the provisions of her father’s will, agrees this arrangement is legal. I have already spoken with the King, and he has given the agreement the seal of his approval.”

Baron Terence scowled at this answer. He had not been happy when he found out via court gossip that, his little band of men has been routed by the Inquisitor and his cousin. At the time, they were either dead or on the way to the Capital.

The other idiot Rat has also failed him. He still had to find a way to silence the man called Paul. It was difficult to buy-off the King’s guards or to get a man into those cells. At least his men had managed to fire some of Willow’s fields. He wasn’t happy that Willow had survived the murder of her parents. It would have been better if she had been the one who died.

It had taken his manager a week after the debt was paid, to pass on the information that they hadn’t foreclosed. He had inquired as to why not, suspecting Wickham have intervened. He hadn’t been happy when told an unknown investor had purchased the debt in full. Baron Terence was even less happy when he found out Willow was now engaged to Duke Arrondale, and she was in charge of the estate.

He guessed that Ty was the unknown investor. He was back to square one. Two years of work down a very expensive drain. The monies he had recovered barely covered his other debts, and he needed cash. Several of his other investments hadn’t gone well in recent years.

“Willow, I must protest,” Beatrice exclaimed. She was not a lady who gave up easily. “You don’t know this man or his unsavoury reputation. I’m sure if you request it, we can remove you from his clutches. He only wants you for the estate dear. He is not known to treat his wives well.”

“He doesn’t care for you like we do or he would have already married you. I’m sure we can find you a more suitable husband. Dear Carl is still available and willing,” she finished as if marriage to her son would have to win Willow over.

Willow suppressed a shudder. Ty wasn’t sure if he knew their son Carl, but her tight expression and the stiffening of her back suggested Willow did and wished she didn’t.

Willow had a close encounter two years ago with dear Carl. He had tried to rape her in the playroom. He had been twice her age. He had tried kissing and fondling her when he had found her alone. She had told him to, ‘Fuck off.’

He had slapped her hard across the face. He had then grabbed her hair, dragged her onto the floor and ripped her blouse open. She screamed and fought like a wild thing, but he was much stronger than she was. The deep scratches she had laid across his cheek had enraged him further.

Fortunately, her father had come running when she had started screaming and stopped him in time. He had ripped Carl off of her and removing his belt, he had thrashed him. Carl had whimpered and curled into a ball like a naughty child. Her father had not spared the belt either.

Beatrice hearing her son’s screams had intervened and defended Carl saying Willow must have enticed him. Her father had sarcastically made a comment, “If a thirty-year-old man couldn’t control himself around an innocent girl who was barely fifteen years-of-age, he wasn’t much of a man.”

Beatrice and Terence had changed tact and had insisted that the two should marry for decency. Her father was nearly apoplectic at the suggestion. Her mother had informed them that decency had nothing to do with rape. At only fifteen Willow couldn’t legally get married anyway.

If Beatrice wished to push the issue, they had no qualms reporting it as such. The King abhorred rape and forced marriage of women, particularly young girls. They had harangued and tried to insist on the marriage. Willow’s father had lost his temper. He ordered the Baron, his wife and their deplorable son, to leave and never darken his doorstep again.

Now they were trying to get her back. They had barged into her house and ordered her and her servants around, before taking over the parlour as if they owned it. She had told Morris not to serve tea or to unload their carriage as they had ordered him. They wouldn’t be staying long. She immediately went in search of Ty.

Willow coldly said, “Aunt Beatrice, I would rather be a Sister of Death than marry Carl. I only let you in, to hear what you had to say. As you have not even had the decency of offering condolences for the loss of my parents, I stand by my father’s wishes. Please don’t come back. Your family is not welcome in my home, ever.”

Baron Terence blustered and tried to say she couldn’t speak to him like that when Ty stood abruptly. He glared at the obnoxious couple. “I believe my intended has asked you both to leave. If you turn up here again, I’ll evict you personally,” he said in a quiet, menacing voice.

Baron Terence knew Ty had the ear of the King and was well with his rights as they stood to not receive them. He, however, wasn’t without influence in court. He would simply have to change tact. He stood and swallowed down the full cup of Brandy.

“I can see that you have befuddled the poor girl. You have not heard the last of this or us,” he threatened. “It seems we are not welcome in our only niece’s house. Beatrice, come,” he said and stalked out the door, not bothering to help his fat wife up.

Beatrice tried tears and cajoling, she never did learn when to give up. “Willow, please reconsider. We only want what is best for you dear. You know I love you as if you were my own dear daughter. I don’t like to see you being used so by this man,” she implored letting the fake tears roll down her fat cheeks.

Prue rode into the yard. She got down off the horse and gave it to the stable lad. “Do you know if the owner of that carriage is inside?” “Yes, Ma’am, the man and his daughter got hurt by highwaymen. The constables are out trying to track them. The man said they took his wife.” Prue sighed in relief that Tah was okay. “What of the little girl?” The young man shook his head sadly, “She was still unconscious, and the man is in a bad way, worrying about her.” Tears welled in Prue’s eyes....

There was no good news in the next couple of days. Albert and Frankie had disappeared. Inspector Tyrone came out to tell them they had searched the taverns and dives and couldn’t find them. Apparently, Anne’s boys were looking too, and they hadn’t had any success either. A Constable reported that a carriage had been stolen from one of the Estates and they now believed the men had left the area. Paul decided to head back to Terville with the news. There wasn’t anything left for him to do...

Prue and Tina soon settled in on the ship. This trip would take six weeks, and Prue was glad she could afford the bigger accommodation. It was designed as a family unit. She had a decent sized bed in her cabin, and one of the two smaller cabins had enough room for Tina and Nianna. They had a railing surrounding half of the lower bed. So Nianna could sleep safe and the other half of the bed made for a change table. A tiny sitting room divided the main bedroom and bathroom from the two...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 12 Dignitaries

Willow was very nervous at meeting the King. She wore the green striped dress and found a lovely necklace and earbobs in her mother’s jewellery box. She didn’t like wearing powders on her face so she didn’t. She did smear a pink gloss on her lips and darkened her eyelashes. She grabbed her cape and purse and headed out to the sitting room. Ty turned when he heard her door open and he stood transfixed. She was beautiful, that was all he could think. Then she smiled that little smile she gave...

Upon arrival, the crew found her a carriage and sadly loaded it for her. Prue looked up to see Stuart standing on the deck. He had a pensive look, and she too felt some sadness at parting from him. He had been an enjoyable lover. Prue’s driver took her to the orphanage. She had been amused by the look he gave her when she told him her destination. Apparently, she wasn’t the first pregnant woman he had escorted there. “Hello, I was told to see a Druid Sandie,” she said to the nurse she...

The party was more than glad to pull up in the circular drive of Terrell Manor. Victor was first out of the coach and was soon happily being hugged by his cousins. He’d loved the idea of spending all of winter with them and had been more than enthusiastic in the trip north. He had a lot to tell them about his trip. The kids were soon carting him off to show him his new room as he was going to be in the communal nursery with them. Nanny Dee followed in their wake to keep an eye on him. She...

Albert married Carol a week later. That was probably the most noble thing he had done in an exceedingly long time. The lawyer had checked his credentials, and grudgingly, with a few growls and threats from Albert, he had finally signed the trust over to Lord Ronald Pirelli and his new wife, Lady Carol. When Albert had gone over the Portfolio, he knew the bastard lawyer had been milking the Trust and cheating Carol. Also, he should have handed it over to her when she turned twenty-five,...

Albert Arrondale, better known as Sir Allan Dale these days, wasn’t a happy man. He had to be very careful being back in Midland. He was well known, and while he looked different and ten years had passed since he was last here, he knew the Constables had a more recent description of him. Frankie had suggested they needed to alter his face some more. He was happy to give Albert a couple of more scars if he wished. Albert didn’t find his suggestion funny at all. Gifted Grifter #5: Lake Country Girls I decided to go up the lake country area for the weekend again. I put in a call to Erin, my red-haired real estate agent up there, and told her what I was looking for and at what price. The first time I had rented through her, I had seduced her using my mindreading sunglasses, but the second time she had been all business. I guess this time would be the tiebreaker. In order to have any chance at seducing her again, I figured, two things had to happen....

Gifted Grifter Ch 06

Chapter 6: Julie Pays the Bills, Part I For nearly a year I had been living as the Gifted Grifter, and I was getting into an established routine. I would travel to Vegas or Atlantic City under an assumed name, betting horses and sports during the day, using my mindreading glasses to pick up tips from knowledgeable bettors. At night I would hit the poker rooms, using my glasses to know what everyone else at the table had in their hands when the table stakes got big, with those advantages, I...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 8 Farming

Ty and Willow headed upstairs after dinner. Ty made her sit on the bed beside him. “Willow, we have to discuss our relationship and how this is going to work. I know I did the wrong thing encouraging you to sleep with me. You are a breathtaking and desirable woman. But if you were to have a chance of finding a husband, it would be best we didn’t continue to sleep together. Willow looked at him, “So I’m not good enough for you is that it?” Ty rubbed his face and stood. He paced the room and...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 10 The Palace

The trip to Bavindor was relatively uneventful. They made a long carriage train, which got longer when they picked up the Dwyer’s, their five wagons and a carriage, on the way. While it was common for thieves to attack the shipments, the local robbers gave them a wide berth due to their escort. The two older members of their Growers Society also joined them, citing safety in numbers. Ty and Willow had no problems including them, as they were, after all, members of their little society and...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 11 Inheritance

When Willow awoke the next morning, Ty was already gone. She sorted through the morning mail and found a note from the lawyer a Baron David Karlson, who had contacted her the month before. She decided she had better go see him before she got any busier. She told Grace she was going out. She didn’t need to be accompanied as she was just going to see a lawyer and would take Brain with her. She dressed and went to the stables to find Brain. He was happy to drive the carriage and take her to...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 13 Dinner

Ty headed to the apartment. He fumed the whole way there. He entered the apartment and went and knocked on Willow door, “Willow the King has requested your presence, I’m to take you back.” Willow yelled at him, “Piss-off.” Ty sighed and tried the door. To his surprise, she hadn’t locked it, so he went in. She was lying face down on her bed. He rolled her back onto his arm, slid the other under her legs and picked her up. She struggled, “Put me down,” she ground out. She was very upset and...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 15 First Ball

After dinner, the party made their way to the ballroom. It was already packed with the guests who hadn’t been invited to dinner. The gossips wanted to know just who had been privileged enough to be invited. Ty escorted Willow into the ballroom. She clutched his arm, “Oh my, please don’t leave me alone in that sea. I’ll get drowned.” Ty had to laugh. He pressed his hand over hers and gripped it. He smiled as he led her into the throng. He introduced her around to people he thought she...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 17 Wedding

Grace was in the kitchen kneading dough. “What on earth are you doing woman? You should be getting your beauty sleep for your wedding tomorrow.” Grace smiled at him, “I find it relaxing.” “What? Are you nervous about getting married?” he asked as he went to the icebox and scooped some slushy ice into a jug. “Yes.” “Why? Hugh loves you. Anyone can see that,” he inquired, finding himself sitting at the table and watching her as he sipped his drink. Grace finished shaping the loaves as she...

Gifted Book 1 SilenceChapter 20 Abduction

Ty woke to hear Willow vomiting into the privy. In spite of his worry about her, he had to smile in delight. Well, she did warn him. It was just as well they were getting married in two weeks. She came back out, and he lifted the blanket so she could crawl back in with him. Willow snuggled back into his embrace, and he kissed her neck and hugged her then rubbed her belly. “No need to be so damn smug, you beastly man,” she grumbled. “I love you, Willow and you will be an awesome mother. I...

Gifted Book 3 IntentChapter 6 News

Vincent had been enjoying his time on the farm. Early in his third week on the farm, several things happened. Ulani’s shearers turned up for one. They sheared early in autumn to give the animals time to regrow their coats for winter. They were sheared again in mid-spring, so they carried lighter coats into summer. The winter coats were worth more than the summer ones. Vincent wondered if Ulani would be happy to move her flocks to his estate. He believed they could do well in the mountain...

Gifted Book 3 IntentChapter 7 Beating

Ulani rolled over to find a man in her bed. Vincent’s hand had been on her hip as if making sure she was beside him during the night. She watched him as he slept. She had a feeling the not too many women had experienced Vincent as she had last night or got to watch him sleep. They all said he never stayed, he always insisted on protection, and once he came, he left. He had done none of those things last night. She wasn’t even sure how many times he made love to her. He had spent a lot of...

Gifted Book 3 IntentChapter 12 Doppelganger

Vincent and Ulani were going to stay at the Way Station that was half a day’s ride from the Terville’s Manor in Bavindor. They had left later than they planned from the one they had stayed in the night before. Vincent blamed it on Ulani, but she told him if he weren’t such a randy little cock, they would have left on time. Vincent countered that it wasn’t his fault that the sight of her naked had him worked up in mere moments. Ulani had to chuckle because she had to admit she had enticed...

Gifted Book 3 IntentChapter 15 Lord Roland Pirelli

Lord Ronald Pirelli and his wife Carol strolled down the gang plank as if they owned the ship. Captain Jamil said they had two nights and then they sailed the next morning. This suited Albert. Tonight, was to scope and tomorrow was to gamble. It had been close to a year since he was last here. Albert was hoping that his new body, look and name, would let him pass by the shadow of Allan Dale, as most here knew him. He’d managed to fleece a few dollars from every member of the crew and while...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 3 Seduction

The following year was busy for both Prue and Ty. During the Winter Season, Ty met Maria Holtan. She was a year younger than he was. He had become totally fascinated with her. Prue and Vincent didn’t like her, but Ty believed he was in love with her. Prue’s dislike stemmed from her knowing who she was. She hoped for Ty’s sake, his uncle had finished with her. Otherwise, things could get ugly. Maria had been introduced to Ty by his uncle as the daughter of Baron Holton who had a district in...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 4 Marriage

During the spring to summer terms, Prue’s little group spent less time together. This year they had to spend more time in their specialised fields. Reggie was heavily tied up with modifications of his brainchild the steam boiler and getting it on the market. He was developing a smaller steam engine that could be used to drive other machinery. Prue had become involved in Master Green’s projects of finding the best chemical combinations to make batteries for storing electricity and machines...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 5 Reggie

Prue was happiest at the Academe. About two months after Richard’s death, Reggie approached her and asked if he could talk to her in private. She now had five other women sharing her dorm, so they went to one of the private reading rooms in the library. It wasn’t unusual for them to be in one, as they still collaborated on the many different projects they worked on. Prue sat down and waited. Reggie paced a bit and then pulled a chair up in front of her. “Prudence you know I hold our...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 6 Sunland

Prue moved out of the hotel to her lodgings. She was soon immersed in work. She had planned to spend two months in each of the three Academies in Sunland, before going to Paulartica. She had been invited to spend three months in both of their most prestigious Universities. She had found that the first Academe in Sunland had not advanced as far as she had. They recommended that she went to the second sooner rather than later because they couldn’t help her. So she only spent about five weeks....

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 7 Stuart

Prue had never spent a month on a ship before. It was an interesting experience. Captain Stuart Sandie helped make it very enjoyable. They took a fancy to each other about two seconds after their eyes met. She recognised the interesting look and returned it. He gave her his slow, crooked smile, flashing his white teeth and kinked his dark, thick curly eyebrow. The look made her wet. She was surprised by her own reaction. But then again it had been nearly five months since she had shared her...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 10 Engagement

Prue woke about two hours later to find herself wrapped in a man’s arms. It took her a moment to realise first, that it wasn’t Sandie, then to remember it was Tah. He was taller and harder than Sandie. He hugged differently as well. His big hand was firmly attached to one of her tits. Sandie generally hugged her waist and tended to leave a little more space between their bodies. Tah was skin to skin, and his cock was hard and jammed between her thighs. She squeezed her butt cheeks together....

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 14 Court

Prue and Vincent arrived the first week of the season. Prue had decided living at the Palace would be okay. She could continue to use her little house as her office. She hoped Willow didn’t need her all the time as she did have other commitments. When Ty sent her a letter, saying Baron Mathew Dwyer and his wife Silvia and their two children would be housed in old Sir Todd’s apartment across from theirs, it eased her mind. They were Willow’s neighbours and friends. More playmates for Nianna...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 15 The Ball

Prue had put on a gown that had a deceptively simple cut. Her bodice was more modest as she was supposed to be a matron, even though she was only twenty-three. She joined Ty and Vincent in the sitting room. She agreed with Ty that Vincent’s new suit and height highlighted Vincent’s well-toned body. It was no wonder he had little trouble with the ladies and he was only seventeen. Ty also looked very handsome in a suit that was similar to Vincent’s attire. They all turned as Willow came out...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 17 The House

The next morning Willow received a note from David. He needed to see her about her house. So Willow and Prue went to see him before going to the Auction house where Willow needed to sort out the sale of her nadack. They also had to see Mr Gary Snidel, the wedding planner. Willow’s grandfather had left her his huge house. It was practically outside the gates of the palace. It was supposed to have been rented for the Season, but the family who had rented it hadn’t been able to make the...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 19 Love

Prue opened her eyes to find two extra bodies in her bed. She had a little arm wrapped around her neck and two little knees in her tummy. She looked down to see her daughter cuddled up between her and Tah. Tah’s arm was wrapped over Nianna to lie on Prue’s waist. Her hand was on his hip. She looked at Tah and was glad he had put pants on. His eyes opened, and he grinned at her then looked down at his daughter. “She knocked on the door a couple of hours ago, and I had to let her in,” he...

Gifted Book 2 ChemistryChapter 20 Betrayal

The little family headed south. They had been travelling for about six hours and were about an hour from the waystation before the border when they got into trouble. They didn’t have an entourage only the coachman and one guard. They were not expecting trouble at all when the six highwaymen surrounded the coach. Two men came out of the brush on the side of the road and shot the coachman and guard before they could draw their weapons, it was a shock to the passengers. The boss, Red, told...
