STILL on GREG’S ISLAND, on a planet 350,000 Light years from Earth

Bob’s POV:

Okay, okay, OKAY ... Greg just crapped his drawers.

Linda was frantically flashing, “Spinner Bear, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FLIPPING MIND?”

And Ed was just gathering flies with his open mouth.

But, in my defense, they’d all MISSED one critical thing.

While these guys are obviously more advanced, technology-wise than we were, I was probing and they have NO psychokinetic powers whatsoever.

They DO have some kind of translating device that makes communication possible, but when I tried communicating mentally I got zip, zero, nada!

They weren’t even close to our new little caveman friends!

Their device apparently has trouble interpreting sarcasm, however.

I just HAVE to fuck with them a little to try and find out what we can use against them if they get too uppity with us.

I’ve gotta get Greg and Ed onboard with me.

“Just what’s the problem, Kojak?”

The one who seemed to be in charge replied, “My name is Sintar. I do not know ‘Kojak’. This is our planet and you are interfering in this planet’s natural evolution!”

I tilted my head, “YOUR planet? Who died and made you God?”

“Yes, my people seeded this planet with lifeforms many centuries ago. Our goal is to study the natural evolution. When you saved that small child, you altered this island’s and perhaps the entire planet’s, history. Killing that beast has now changed it even more.”

I shook my head in disgust, “Well, excuse the hell out of us! That ‘Beast’ tried to kill us, we simply defended ourselves.”

Ole Sintar seemed to be getting more frustrated. “Just what race of people are you and how did you get here?”

You have no idea how badly I wanted to say ‘nunya’ again, but I decided maybe a little diplomacy might be called for.

“We are Human beings and our ship is up there.” I pointed to the sky, just to the north of their ship.

Okay, so I was bullshitting, but, I wasn’t going to tell him how we really got here.

Ahhh, now Sintar’s overly large eyes got bigger and he looked nervously at his buddy.

“How is it we did not detect your ship?”

I decided to assume some ‘Star Trek’ terminology, since I don’t know shit about space or spacecraft.

I just hoped I could keep a straight face, “Our ship is cloaked. We mean no harm and only wish to explore new worlds. We are a peace loving people and only wish to preserve intelligent life. Whether that is an alien lifeform or our own. HOWEVER, we are fully capable of defending ourselves if provoked and will not hesitate to do so!”

Sintar said something into his communication device that I didn’t understand. Linda tittered, flashing, “Oh my God, Spinner Bear! I just got in his head. He just asked someone up there to scan the area to try and find our ship! I UNDERSTOOD HIM.”

“Great sweetheart, stay in there and keep translating for me, okay?”

“Sure ... Oh, the guy on the other end seems worried, since they can’t find your ‘ship’. They suspect our species may be more advanced than them!”

Just what I needed to know.

Now I had a little leverage.

Ole Sintar assumed a less belligerent tone, “I feel we may have started our conversation badly. Please forgive me. What planet are you from?”

I snickered internally, “Alpha Setti 3,” continuing with my ‘Star Trek’ references.

Sintar must have relayed that and his face showed confusion. “I have not heard of such a planet. What galaxy is that in?”

I didn’t want to give these guys any idea that we were from Earth, so, since I’d read that the Andromeda galaxy was like millions of light-years away, I said, confidently, “The Andromeda Galaxy.”

His scrunched up face ‘unscrunched’ and his eyes were like Moon Pies.

“We have heard of that galaxy! We have sent probes there, but, the distance would take us many generations to travel to. Do you require the use of cryo-stasis to make such a journey?”

Ahha! I looked at him like he was an idiot, “No. We have the ability to make the journey here in less than 1200 hours.”

His eyes grew even bigger, “You say you are a peaceful species?”

It looked like he just gulped, hoping he had that right. I smiled, “Yes. We gave up being war-like after we conquered the Klingons and Romulans.”

Ed was struggling to keep from laughing out loud.

Sintar’s face was screwed up again. “We have not heard of such races. Perhaps that is because your ancestors have destroyed them?”

Now I had to suppress a chuckle, “That is correct. Our weaponry is so far advanced that other war-like races would stand no chance. Now, can we talk about this planet and this island?”

Linda was cackling, “Spinner Bear, Sintar was just told to do WHATEVER is necessary to please you so they don’t piss us off!”

Now I was REALLY struggling not to laugh. I watched as Sintar was still communicating with whoever was in charge up in the spaceship. Sintar began blinking his huge eyes and seemed to be nodding his head.

He spoke, “What is it that you propose? ... I’m sorry, I don’t know your name, sir?”

“Captain James T. Kirk, Commander of the Starship Enterprise!” Then, using my best ‘Marlon Brando’ voice, “And I have a deal, you cannot refuse.”

Both Ed and Greg were rolling on the ground with their knuckles in their mouths, having completely lost it.

Sintar asked, “Are your friends sick?” Looking concernedly at my laughing comrades.

“No, no, just a case of gas, er, indigestion. We ate some of that Beast and it didn’t agree with their delicate digestive systems.”

It’s a good thing these beings didn’t understand humor!

Sintar almost smiled, “Those things were never meant to be food. Their presence here was simply for population control studies.”

Something about that pissed me off.

“So, to you people, these humanoids are nothing more than entertainment? You say you don’t want us to interfere, but yet, you set them up to be slaughtered!? I am thinking that YOU may be a war-like species!”

His little communicator was going nuts, Linda was losing it and Sintar’s eyes liked to bug out of his head. “No, no we are not war-like species! We take no pleasure in seeing our subjects killed. You must believe me!”

The fucker was about to shit his overly tight spandex-like pants.

I grinned, evilly, “Okay then, this is what we want. First, you will cease surveillance of this island. Second, you will tell me exactly how many more of those beasts there are here, so we’ll know when we’ve killed them all. And lastly, you tell your superiors that all we want is to use this island as a place for our fellow travelers to relax occasionally. We will not harm the current inhabitants or otherwise interfere with your continued study of this planet.”

Sintar seemed to relax, and was talking to someone on his communicator. He finally said, “My superiors have agreed to your demands. They want me to ask if you want that we should relocate the humanoids to the mainland?”

I had to think... “How many humanoids are left here?”

“There are only 3 Family units left. One is without a female. There are a total of 9 offspring, so a total of 14.”

I nodded, “You can leave them here. We want to make friends with them. If they wish to relocate, we can take them there. How many more beasts or predators are there?”

He blinked a few times, “There are none remaining. We only put that one, male, here a short while ago. The remaining humanoids are in the caves not far from your settlement here. We have already deactivated the three satellites we had over this island. Are you sure we can still study the rest of this planet?”

I was going to just say, ‘yes’, but Greg and Ed were now standing and Greg blurted out, “Um, excuse me Captain...”

He had a stern look and was minutely shaking his head. I said, “Go ahead, Scotty!”

He smirked at me and Ed was about to lose it again, “Ah, Sintar ... you said you put that Beast here, where did it come from?”

Sintar’s face contorted and his communicator was babbling.

Linda giggled, “He’s trying to figure out how mad you’re going to get when he tells you the answer.”

I patted Greg on the back, “Good question, Mr Scott ... So, Sintar, just where DID it come from? Hmmm?”

Sintar turned light blue, it must be the color they turn when blushing. He stammered a bit, “I’m afraid it is not indigenous to this planet. We brought them here from the planet Zepron in the Milky Way Galaxy.”

Greg huffed, “What the hell? How can you profess to be studying ‘natural evolution’ then introduce a non-native predatory species!?”

HE was pissed now, and Ed and I were loving it. Greg now had the football and we decided to let him run with it.

“You, you must understand! This planet has no natural predators to these humanoids. We were afraid they would overpopulate the other two land masses and this island. We felt we had to do something!”

Greg shook his head, disgustedly, “So, you had the bright idea to introduce an alien, predatory species, that these humanoids were incapable to defend themselves against!?”

Sintar’s now light blue face was darkening rapidly, “We only brought male ‘Beasts’ as you call them. They cannot reproduce. They will eventually die out as a species.”

Greg huffed, “Just what is the current population of the other two landmasses and how many ‘Beasts’ have you put on them? Aren’t you concerned of the possibility they may wipeout all of the humanoids?”

“There are approximately 25,000 on the landmass nearest here, with 25 predators and 35,000 on the larger landmass with 35 predators. In the last 30 cycles (days) only 500 humanoids have been killed by these ‘beasts’. There are now only 31 beasts on the larger landmass as the humanoids there have constructed traps and have managed to kill four of them. They are not totally defenseless!?”

Ed blustered, “It is highly illogical ... to say you are studying ‘natural evolution’ then not allow ‘evolution to progress naturally?”

Ed was killing me as he had one eyebrow raised just like Leonard Nimoy does as Mr Spock!

Sintar was getting flustered, being questioned this thoroughly.

He cleared his throat, “So, what do you want, then?”

I grinned at Ed, “Yes, Mr Spock, what do you and Mr Scott suggest?”

Greg gave Sintar the ole ‘stink-eye’, “You say you can remove these predators whenever you want?”

“Yes, they are all tagged with tracking devices. These devices are subdural and we can send a signal that will terminate them whenever we deem it necessary.”

I decided to try something. I caught Sintar’s eye and, using thought pictures, PUSHED, “You will kill all of the predators ... NOW.”

Sintar was yelling something into his communicator that didn’t get translated.

Linda flashed, “Holy shit! They’re asking him if he’s sure they should activate all of the elimination nodes in the predators. Sintar just screamed yes!”

After a few more exchanges between his ship, Sintar spoke through his translator. “We have decided that Mr Spock’s argument was both logical and correct. Some of our scientists were against the idea of introducing the predators all along. They forced the Captain to activate the devices to terminate all of the predators. The Captain wants me to assure you we wish to be friends with you and your species, Captain Kirk. With our compliance with your wishes, may we now continue our observations of the two other landmasses?”

“Yes, we have no reason to interfere with your people as long as they remain humane in their treatment of the humanoids. And of course, leave us alone. We WILL be watching you, however, to insure we can peacefully co-exist here.”

Sintar relaxed and almost cracked a smile, “Very well. You have our assurance of your demands. Please tell your superiors that we are truly a peaceful race. The inhabitants of our spacecraft are mostly researchers and scientists. We have no desire to create hostilities toward anyone.”

I took a deep breath.

I began thinking that maybe I should take up poker!?

I nodded at Sintar, “Nor do we. We may look around the mainland occasionally, especially if we have to relocate the natives, but we will not interfere with the ‘natural evolution’ of the rest of the planet. You have our word on that.”

“Then I shall rejoin my ship. We have another crisis halfway across the galaxy that needs our attention. Farewell my friends...”

And we watched as a beam of light appeared over our two new friends just before they disappeared from sight.

Greg started laughing, “Brother, I can’t wait to tell Charlie about this!”

Ed was just grinning, with one eyebrow raised.

BACK ON EARTH, NEAR McLean, VA

WILLIE POV:

After Sarah left, Maggie and I kissed, talked and made out a bit, right there in the booth. I kept an eye out so Diane wouldn’t catch us too many times. Both Maggie and Diane seemed to have fun with it whenever Diane ‘caught’ us.

We also got into a deep conversation about ‘us’. Now that she was ‘covered’, I could tell her things easier. We practiced our telepathy and she was picking up on it quickly.

It also seemed we were falling even more deeply in love with each other. I told her about my early history, but stopped just short of my falling in love with my little Bian.

I didn’t want to get all weepy.

She told me about hers and I discovered that her early love life was much different than mine was. And far more heart-rending.

She was 17 and a cheerleader during her Junior year in High School when she fell in love with Dirk, the quarterback of the Varsity football team. He was 18 and a Senior.

He treated her decent, considering he was an arrogant jock. When he graduated, the major colleges weren’t knocking at his door, so he decided to go to the local Junior College. They had a very competitive football team, so he hoped that he might get a second chance at a scholarship from a Division 1 College.

He lucked out that the same Junior College also drew two freshman wide receivers that were destined for NFL fame. They had come from a big city and had gotten overlooked.

Maggie didn’t luck out, since she’d messed up taking her ‘pills’ when she had a bad case of the flu and got pregnant. Maggie discovered this just before Dirk started summer training camp for his Freshman year.

At first Dirk told her he’d marry her and was eager for her to have his baby.

Two months later, Dirk realized his football fortunes had changed. He’d been talked to by scouts for two big Universities and was told he had a good chance to get picked up for a scholarship. He then told Maggie she needed to get an abortion, since there was no way he wanted to be a ‘Daddy’ now.

He said if she really loved him, she would do this so they could stay together.

The problem was ... she was well into her second trimester of pregnancy and a legal abortion was nearly impossible to get now.

Maggie was nearly in tears, “I knew I had to tell my parents. They were both upset, but, told me they loved me and they didn’t want me to abort their future grandson or granddaughter. I made up my mind that I was going to keep the baby. Dirk wasn’t happy at all and started getting his friends to all say they had sex with me and that there was a good chance the baby wasn’t even his. I told him he was a bastard and I never wanted to see him again.

“I thought that was the end of it. By Winter break, I was five months pregnant. I was trying to get ahead in school so I could still graduate, since I was due about a month and a half before the end of school.”

I looked at her, “So, you have a child?”

Maggie was shaking her head and the tears started flowing, “No! When football season ended, Dirk came by the house to tell me that he was concerned about me. He had just been told he was getting a scholarship to Ohio State University.”

She was really sobbing now, “He said he wanted to get back together, so we went out for dinner. He was all lovey-dovey and I really thought he still loved me. But, after dinner he drove me out to a secluded spot in the country where three of his friends started beating me and kicking my stomach. Dirk kept yelling that he wasn’t going to let me ruin his life! I kept telling him I wasn’t going to do that; I just didn’t want to get an abortion. The last thing I remember before I blacked out was him saying, “Now you won’t have to!”

I held her in my arms, vowing to myself to track this ‘Dirk-bag’ down and kill him.

Maggie hugged me tightly, “You don’t have to, Bill. He’s dead. He was knifed to death in prison. Dad said they take a dim view of guys like that and he got what was coming to him.”

The Catalyst RebornChapter 12 Preparing for Battle

Charlie POV: Having just renewed our bond with our neighbors, I had to figure a way to send them away without making it seem rude. There simply wasn’t time for a long drawn out explanation. The situation was very complex and even OUR girls and Bob were mostly in the dark about most of it. I flashed Mary my concerns and assurances of ‘full disclosure’, but that time was of the essence and our neighbors at this point didn’t have ‘a need to know’. Our neighbors had already figured out...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 23 Righting a Wrong

Bob POV: (Still) Ibera was hugging me. I was still trying to figure out just what she meant by, ‘I’d caused a paradox’. And just what did she mean that I wasn’t fucked if she and Zeus could help it? I looked in her eyes, “Is there some way I can make this right?” “Possibly ... but first ... we need to figure out which reality you need to be in to do it. The big problem is that there are certain ‘Rules’ that neither Zeus nor I can violate. One of them is that we CAN’T tell you what to do...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 27 Secrets Revealed

We’d conferred, mentally, and chose to enter right at the entrance to the 5th Dimension. It’s where all of the portals were. This was where we landed the first time we ‘Spirit Walked’. We felt this would make our friends aware that we weren’t in Kansas anymore! It had the desired effect. Our friends were awestruck. Gracie was the first to ask, “Where are we? What’s with all of these TV’s?” Ed was like a kid in the big city for the first time, he was wide-eyed and looking all around. I...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 11 Ready or Not

Luckily, with the rush hour traffic, our four suspects couldn’t drive very fast, so flying without our helmets wasn’t too big a deal. We reported to Brock and TJ that they were driving a 1984 Buick Grand National. We gave them the Wisconsin license plate number, which TJ was going to run immediately. We were soon told that the car HADN’T been reported stolen and was registered to one Kurt Alsip, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They were headed west on IL SR 64. Just past Sycamore Speedway, they...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 38 Startling Discoveries

Charlie’s POV: (Cont.) With Rex, Jeremy and Willie all being called away to Chicago, and CJ seemingly trying to ‘help Willie’, I told the Family I needed to pay a quick visit to Zeus. I needed to see just how much and exactly what kind of ‘help’ Zeus had actually given my son. Since I’d only be gone from here for a few minutes, Mary was going to just tell everyone that I was going to my cabin for a bit. Screwed if you Don’t Mid-August, 1985 He grinned, “Nice to finally meet you Charlie! I’ve heard SOOO much about you and your family.” “Are you ready for our showdown tomorrow, boy?...” “Just remember, ‘old man’, no dirty tricks. Have you done what I asked?” He looked at me warily, “I told you, I don’t have anyone under my control right now.” I looked over at Dad and he winked. I took that as a sign he was still okay. The Catalyst RebornChapter 37 You Can Never Be Sure

Charlie POV: The talk and subsequent agreement for us to help ‘sexually educate’ Matt and Ralph’s kids led to many discussions. The idea of teaching such nubile, young cuties about loving and sex while arousing on one hand, left us also questioning whether we could be sure just how it would affect them. We DID decide that before we indulged their desires, they were going to get a discussion to let them talk through the possible complications. Those ideas led to the adults of both families...

The the wind howled around the quayside as I stepped onto terra firma for the first time in weeks, the wind threw sharp shards of ice to sting our faces as we looked up at the sails as they were finally furled and stowed as our captain grinned at our discomfiture, "Au revoir!" he joked as if he knew we should soon be recalled. Those such as were left, and we were few enough, I shuddered. My best uniform packed securely in my Valise, awaited me, and just a few more duties before I...

The Catalyst

Sasha Fedoseev pulled out his driveway and started down the road. Sasha was by most accounts a successful man. He had started a corporation in his early 20's and had guided its ascent. His company now had three subsidiary corporations. He employed over five hundred employees through his subsidiaries and the parent corporation he had founded 10 years earlier. The parent corporation had its offices in a building several miles from Sasha's home. It was there that his staff worked. He had...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 33 Run Silent Run Deep

Section Chief Rodgers POV: Dammit! What the hell just happened? That fucking Chen has put me into one hell of a trick bag. I had everything set up perfectly to slide into the Black-Ops Executive Directors job and that fucking Chen comes along. I don’t know how that weasel managed to get my spot, but he did and I’ve been sucking hind titty ever since. How the hell am I going to explain to the Director that Executive Director Chen just up and disappeared? Like he’s gonna believe ‘Jonah’ did...

The CatalystChapter 53 A Very Busy Week Part 2

[“I’ll have a long heart to heart talk with her, Linda. Maybe it’s good she’ll be here for a few extra days. Let’s get home and look at these pictures!”] We greeted the family when we returned home, then Linda and I promptly went to my office to start laying out pictures. I pulled out my pad of 18”x 30” lightly gridded graph paper and tore off a sheet for each of us. We each had a legal pad and began writing down all of the things Stan had ‘dreamed’ to us, that he wanted in his house. The...

The CatalystChapter 74 Just Trying to have Some Fun

[Could this night get any stranger?] Thankfully it didn’t, at least not right away. When our ‘gang’ re-entered the campgrounds, the campers that sat gathered around the bonfire seemed oblivious that anything out of the ordinary had happened earlier that night. But, after parking our bikes, as they watched all of our group excitedly sprinting over to the campfire they must have suspected something was up. They were all but dragging a giggling Sarah with them. Since everyone began hollering...

The CatalystChapter 61 The Honeymoon Vacation Part 4

Why Does the Feces Always Collide with the Circular Air Mover? July, 1985 [“Charlie, Charlie, God, I hope you can hear me, this is Dad. Stan thought the Coast Guard was pulling us over for a routine check but it’s a bunch of pirates! You gotta help us!”] “Dad, I hear you, where are you?” “I’m not sure, we flew into Lynden Pindling International Airport in the Bahamas and took a limo to a port on the south side of the island. Stan had his hydrofoil there and we were going to his island to...

The CatalystChapter 63 The Honeymoon Vacation Part 6

... Let the Good Times Roll! July, 1985 [A loud cheer went up from everyone in the room. I looked back at Adam and Lori, “DEAL.” Adam gave the order, “Crew, prepare to dock and disembark onto the island. It’s time to Paaaah-Tay!”] The Captain announced, just after we docked, “Don’t forget, the dress code here is ‘Au naturale’ All you need is sandals or deck shoes. No clothes allowed! Plush terri-cloth robes will be available if you get chilly. The temperature rarely dips below...

The CatalystChapter 60 The Honeymoon Vacation Part 3

FUBAR’D? (Fully United by Always Repairing Disasters?) July, 1985 [“Oh my God, I think we’ve run aground!” Melody exclaimed.] Bob, Greg and I were looking at each other wondering what we could do. I heard the hydraulics of the boat launch being lowered and the three of us rushed down to talk to Captain Morgan. The deck was lowered but was at a weird angle because part of it was caught on the sandbar. Brian and his son were running around grabbing scuba gear, while Captain Morgan and Mike...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 2 The Incredible Journey

We spent the rest of the day frantically packing the things we would need for our trip. We grabbed the two backpacks that Greg and Linda had purchased last summer for their little camping excursion. One of the things we would need to find on the way was some climbing gear. Greg reminded us that the place where we shopped in Albuquerque also sold climbing gear and had a fake mountainside so people could practice. We helped Ed take his Sportster out of the trailer, where he had been storing...

The CatalystChapter 46 Jonah Rocks the Boat

[I’ve got a blindfold on and I think I’m on a boat somewhere. Can you hear me?...”] “Yes Sarah! I hear you. Are you alright?” “Yes, I’m scared! What do they want with me?” “I don’t know, sweetie, Dad is on the phone with the State Police. You remember Major Gregory, right?” “Yes. Is he going to help me?” “If he can, if not, he knows who CAN help. Listen, Sarah, I’m two hours from home, but we’re headed there as fast as we can. YOU’VE gotta stay calm, okay? The CatalystChapter 54 A Betrayal and A Rebuilding

[Greg stopped and paused. He turned around with a face full of tears, “Charlie and I were just trying to be nice...”] He sniffled, “I’m gonna be late...” He turned and slowly walked out the front door, closing it gently behind him. Everyone started looking at me, not knowing what to say. I held up my hand, firmly. “I’ve gotta talk to my friend.” Then quickly ran out and jumped in the passenger seat of his truck. He started the engine, “What are you doing, Amigo?” “I dunno, but I’m NOT...

The CatalystChapter 42 The Show Part 3

Intermission, Prelude and Fugue July 4, 1985 [TJ smirked, “Well, Hells Bells, looks like Janet and I are gonna have to put in for a permanent transfer to the Chicago office! God knows the scenery is NOTHING like this in Pittsburgh!” Mary was smiling at us gleefully as we smiled back.] Dad asked what time it was. I said it was almost 3:30pm. He told us that the parents were all going to Lino’s Italian eatery in Rockford for dinner. It was right on State St., not far from Sinnissippi Park....

The CatalystChapter 66 On the Run

[Since Greg and I had slept in, we weren’t even tired ... yet.] We opted to take the Florida Turnpike, because, even though it was a toll road, it wasn’t like the asinine tollways in Illinois, where you have to stop every 10 miles and throw money into a tollbooth. This had the tickets, like Indiana and Ohio, where you pay when you get off. It also had fuel plazas so you didn’t have to get off to buy gas. It’s the most direct way to go and we didn’t have to go through any of the big cities....

The Catalyst RebornChapter 58 Deeper Connections

Charlie POV: I was happy with the way the Directors were handling our encounter with the Russians. They never had any intentions of just destroying both submarines and possibly killing their crews. Also, Director Logan does desperately want to change the culture of the CIA from the way I viewed it after Dad told us about his experiences with it when we were just little kids. Neither Bob nor I remember anything before living here in Illinois. Our operation, ‘Let’s Goose Gorbachev’, went...

The CatalystChapter 73 Smelling the Roses

[Like who was going to sleep with whom tonight.] That discussion was fast, furious and fun. With 9 people, 5-women, 4-guys and 3 beds it was going to be interesting. Since Sarah, Linda and Jamie would only allow one particular cock in their pussies AND demanded ALL of their guy’s deposits, they assigned themselves to whatever bed their guys were in. TJ, Janet and Mary decided to play ‘musical beds’ then planned to ‘sleep’ together. Greg and I slept with Jamie and Sarah, who both insisted on...

The CatalystChapter 65 The Honeymoon Vacation Part 8

All Good Things Come to an End. July, 1985 [By now we were all laughing. I wondered if I should get Emmy to join them. Nahh, poor Ray would probably have a coronary!] We were summoned to the bar/swing room for the initiation ceremony. Melody, Roberto and Adam (Captain Morgan) were in the DJ booth. Jessica, Tammy, Bobbi and Brandy were being fastened into special swings that looked different from the ones we used the other night. Underneath them were hydraulic benches that seemed much more...

The CatalystChapter 57 Vows Promises

[ Mary and Sarah found out my lips weren’t too sore to kiss them passionately, before the three of us fell fast asleep.] *** Mary and Sarah were the first ones up. As I cracked my eyes open, I saw them padding towards the kitchen. Two minutes later they were back, pulling my ass out of bed telling me the ‘days a wastin’. “What the heck time is it?” Mary replied, “It’s 6 o’clock, come on, we’re getting married today!” As much as I wanted to frown, all I could do was chuckle and pull them...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 69 Sudden Realizations

Charlie POV: On Thursday, Bob, Linda and I went out to our new place to do a quick, preliminary layout of the 300’ x 400’ footprint of our new place. We needed to see where we might put the new RV trailers that were to be delivered on Saturday morning. We didn’t want them to be in the way of the construction crews. The first thing we saw was that if we centered the new place perfectly on the flat area within the copse of palm trees, the existing house was going to be mostly inside the...

The CatalystChapter 6 Friends Lovers and Surprises

As I was fixing bacon, eggs and toast for everyone, things began settling down. The conversation centered around how much our lives were about to change with a little one on the way. While eating, we all retreated into our own thoughts. When we had finished eating, I suddenly felt a deep need to make love to Mary. I managed to catch Greg’s eye, and nodding, I gestured my intentions with my eyes. He understood immediately. I got up, and took Mary by the hand and led her to our bedroom. As we...

Half the Fun is Getting Started July 21-22, 1985 [We all fell asleep in what could best be described as a puppy pile!] *** We woke up to a grinning Jessica and Tammy. Tammy, having just noticed we were all nekkid, blushed profusely. She was looking anywhere and everywhere but at us. “Oh my gosh. Jessica didn’t know you’d all be in here. If you’re not flowing real heavy, you can wait till after I’m done to insert your Tampons.” Sarah giggled, “Yep, he’s our Hero all right! The Catalyst RebornChapter 64 Busting It

Charlie POV: When we returned things began happening quickly. Bob and I popped to Dad’s cabin and found our two pallets of cash just like we left them. We ‘relocated’ them to Dad’s garage before contemplating whether to bring the three girls’ bikes and our two ATVs. We decided to leave them in the cabin’s garage for now, so as not to unnecessarily clutter Dad’s. On Monday, Ed, Bill, Gracie, Rex and Jeremy all helped go through the rest of their condemned houses, recovering much more than...

[“I think I just killed a guy!... “] We were all stunned! “Where are you? What happened???” “I’m at the convenient store, just north of Route 38 on Randall, there was a robbery, I was just trying to stop them from escaping! I think I killed one of them!...” “We’re on our way. It only took a couple minutes and there were...

The CatalystChapter 70 The Arizona Adventure Begins

Greg was pleased that the new trailer was pulling so well. His new truck had a very powerful diesel engine instead of the big gas engine his other truck had. He felt the dual rear wheels also made it much more stable than a standard four wheeled truck would have. Jaimie giggled, “It’s more manly looking too!” Greg just grinned, “Yep, a real ‘Cowboy Cadillac’!” Since we were told of a massive amount of road construction in St Louis, we opted to go the northern route which would take us west...

There’s this Native American doctor who is certain that you and/or Linda have ancient healing powers. AND he and his colleagues know you are friends of Greg Sanders!” “How do they know our names? We Interrupt this Vacation... July, 1985 [There was a hastily written note pinned to Greg’s shirt that read: “They’ll wake up in a few weeks. Thank Greg for me for teaching me all about you guys! I’ll have to see that Joshua guy to see what else I can learn! HAhahaha!”] I put my face right up to Greg’s and his pupils were like two piss-holes in the snow. The CatalystChapter 72 Much Needed Detours

[When I shook Brock’s hand it suddenly became clear. This was Sherman Leeman’s brother! Butch and Benjamin’s uncle.] I knew I had to tread cautiously, even though it didn’t appear that Brock’s powers were very strong at all. Instead of trying to hang onto his hand, I let go politely. I took a chance and flashed Mary asking her to stay in my head. It wasn’t necessary. She’d already picked up that vibe. I did keep my eyes locked on Brock, however. During my two second communication with...

The Catalyst RebornChapter 35 Expanding Horizons

Charlie POV: We met up for lunch at the restaurant in the yacht club. Everyone was there with the exception of Sarah and Willie, or Bill as I was planning on calling him. I had the feeling calling him ‘Willie’ made him uneasy. The kids seemed antsy from being cooped up in the hotel all night and this morning. When Annette suggested they go to the beach that seemed to brighten their spirits. The fact that they needed swimsuits did mute that somewhat. We discovered that there are no nude...

Bob POV: (Continued) I had to laugh when I saw the shrink-wrapped pallet sitting where our little table had been. Somebody had covered it with a large tarp to keep it as inconspicuous as possible. We’d only been here for a couple minutes when Linda, Mary, Jamie, Sarah, Joni and Sheila padded around the corner and enveloped us in hugs and passionate kisses. They were all beautiful and nekkid! Dad and TJ began barking out orders like the commanders of the D-day Invasion, with nearly that amount of urgency. You guys also need to assume different identities and/or remain invisible until this whole thing is over. I’m not sure how invisibility will work trying to use your helmets. [I stayed on my knees, grabbed a flashlight and peeked between the sheets of canvas. WHAT THE Fu__! ] Greg reacted even faster than me. “Holy shit! Huge vertical refrigerators and ... four dead bodies! All of them appeared to be young...
