Chapter 3: A New Beginning
Even though her family did not focus any blame on their daughter, it was easy to see how concerned they had been about what had happened. The pictures that had been emailed around so many times over the last few weeks might not have been of their daughter, but it was obvious that they were wondering: ‘What if they had been of her?’
You’d think that in this case of situation, at least your family would have your back, no matter what happened. It was obvious to Amanda that this might not exactly be the case after all. She had a feeling that her parents may never look at her the same way again, without any fault on her behalf. In the end though, she had managed to save her reputation for the most part. Amanda tried to look on the bright side of everything that had happened, as difficult as that was. Jack had cheated on her before they were married or had kids, which had made it much easier to part ways, no messy divorce, or custody battles. Reading it over, it looked okay. She would definitely need to change it eventually but it was a good start. It didn’t say too much, and it was better than nothing.
