Of All Days

Sasha Teleshova tapped on his desk as his receptionist's comment
replayed in his mind. He smirked at the comment when the wisp of a
woman made it. It had made everyone in earshot laugh as well.
The sound of his secretary knocking on the door made Sasha dart his
eyes to the door. He smiled at the girl in his doorway before he said,
"Ah...Come in, Stefania. Close the door, please."
Stefania was intrigued by what he was going to say based on the bemused
look on his face. She closed the door, turned to her boss and said,
"Out with it."
Sasha laughed as he replied, "I was thinking over what Gail said."
"Oh, that we're twins?" Stefania asked with a laugh.
"Yes."
"Well, we are on the same page a lot," Stefania admitted.
Sasha nodded. It was impossible for him to deny that he and Stefania
seemed to operate on the same wavelength. Countless times, the very
decision Sasha was planning to make, Stefania was already working on
implementing.
Sasha relied on Stefania more than anyone else in the office. She was
the only administrative staff in the office besides their receptionist
and the occasional interns that the business made use of in a support
capacity throughout the year.
Their closeness and ability to finish each others sentences was a
regular source of humor in the office. There were playful rumors that
they were secretly married, and they were often kidded about being two
sides of the same person.
It did not help matters that they were similar in size. Stefania stood
5'6" with a thin frame, while Sasha had a similar lean frame and stood
5'8". Stefania's heels often evened out their apparent heights. Their
hair was both brown and long, although Sasha wore his longer hair in a
low ponytail, while Stefania kept her hair shoulder length to keep it
manageable since she wore it down everyday.
Sasha smiled at his secretary and asked, "Do you want to have a little
fun?"
"What kind of question is that?" Stefania asked with a smirk.
Sasha nodded, knowing that his secretary was always up for a little
fun. Sasha leaned over and said, "You know, Halloween is coming up in
a few days?"
Stefania nodded as she said, "So, I've heard. It's funny how holidays
have a way of sneaking up on you like that."
"I was thinking that...maybe...," Sasha started to reply before he felt
confident enough to finish, "that we should go as twins."
Stefania smirked at the idea before she said, "I don't think my girls
would look good in a man's shirt."
Sasha shook his head as his secretary cupped her breasts playfully for
a minute, aware of how flustered it made her boss. Stefania laughed at
his discomfort before she crossed her sheer pantyhose covered legs and
waited for Sasha to compose himself.
Sasha laughed for a second before he said, "Well, maybe I should come
up to your level then, rather than have you stooping down to mine."
Stefania giggled before she said, "Are you talking about coming in as
me?"
"Why not? I think we have the same dress size."
Stefania laughed at the suggestion before she nodded and said, "I know
we do."
"So, we can share the same wardrobe."
"Just like sisters," Stefania cracked.
"Twin sisters," Sasha retorted with a smirk.
Stefania leaned back in her chair and tapped her chin before she said,
"How far do you want to take this?"
"What do you mean?"
"Are you going to get a wig or...."
"I have long enough hair..."
"Yes, but it's too long...well, too long for me," Stefania replied,
cutting Sasha off.
Sasha clutched his ponytail. He nodded to himself before he said,
"Some of the people up at corporate have insinuated that I've got to
get rid of it if I want a promotion."
"So, you're going to chop it all off?"
"Soon enough. Maybe I can cut it down to your length for a day."
Stefania laughed before she said, "I can make you an appointment with
my stylist."
Sasha grinned at the thought of it.
"That would be great," Sasha replied, amused by the idea of sporting
the same haircut as his secretary for the day.
"If you're serious about this, I'll make an appointment for the 30th."
"Can we do it after work?"
"I think I can arrange that if I tell them that a guy's getting my
haircut."
Sasha blushed, wondering what the strangers would think of him. Sasha,
however, had never been a shy man and had gone to great lengths to
humiliate himself before to get a laugh. He nodded and said, "Get er
done."
"Oh, you're going to get it," Stefania rejoined before she stepped out
of his office and went to her desk to make an appointment.
The intervening days between the decision and the 30th went normally at
the office. No one indicated to Sasha or Stefania that they were aware
of their plan. Sasha and Stefania rarely spoke about it, and when they
did, they did so cryptically to throw others off.
As the workday ended on the 30th, Stefania hung around while most of
the rest of the staff exited for the night. Sasha and Stefania left an
hour thereafter. Stefania led the way to the salon as Sasha tailed
behind her car.
They pulled into the parking lot before they each got out of their car.
Stefania walked up to Sasha and smiled as she ran her fingers through
his ponytail and asked, "Are you really sure you want to do this?"
Sasha nodded as he answered, "It's time to make a change."
Stefania smiled at him and said, "Just see if you can take me up to
corporate with you."
"I'm going to do my best to bring you up with me," Sasha replied, truly
not wanting to be without her assistance.
Stefania grinned in response before she started towards the building.
Sasha followed her towards the door of the salon. He opened the door
for her before Stefania made her way to the receptionist to sign Sasha
in for his appointment.
The receptionist took his name and wrote it down before they were
seated to wait for the stylist to finish with the client she was
working on at that moment. Stefania patted Sasha on the knee and said,
"Don't worry, you're in good hands."
Sasha nodded, sure of it. He also knew it did not matter though, since
he was only going to be sporting the haircut for a day before he shaved
it off.
Stefania picked up a magazine and started to read while Sasha looked
around the shop, since none of the ladies' magazines were of any
interest to him. It was not long before the shampoo girl called him
over.
Stefania smiled as she followed Sasha and the girl to the sink before
his hair was washed out. Sasha loved the feeling of the woman's small,
soft hands in his long hair. He knew that he would miss it once he had
cut it all off.
The shampoo girl finished washing Sasha's hair before she toweled his
head to leave his hair damp, but not dripping wet. Sasha was then
brought over to the stylist chair and sat down.
The stylist put a cape over him while she began to examine his hair.
She looked over to Stefania before she turned back to Sasha and asked,
"You want your hair to match hers, right?"
"Yes," Sasha answered in sheepish tone.
The stylist shrugged before she smiled and said, "Okay, but you're
paying for a ladies cut."
"It's on me," Stefania replied.
"No. I've got it," Sasha responded, not wanting his secretary to pay
for his haircut.
Stefania nodded, thankful that he was not going to hold her to her
word.
The stylist began to snip Sasha's hair before she said, "You're going
to be the prettiest boy in the office with this cut."
"I was always the prettiest flower in the office," Sasha retorted with
a smirk.
"Such confidence," the stylist replied.
"If you got it, you flaunt it," Sasha rejoined.
Stefania laughed as did some of the other girls in the salon who began
to make inquiries into what they were doing. Stefania volunteered the
truth, which made the girls laugh. Sasha blushed as Stefania talked
about getting him into skirts, but he was more than slightly amused by
the whole thing himself.
"What are you going to do when it's all over?" One of the girls
inquired.
"I bought a fluzzie. I'm going to shave it all down to a crew cut
right after work tomorrow."
"That's a shame," the stylist said as she held up the ends of his long
hair that she was shortening to Stefania's shoulder length.
"I know, but I've got to get a more corporate look," Sasha replied.
"I think this is a very professional cut," the stylist rejoined with a
smirk.
"For a girl," Sasha retorted as Stefania and the girls laughed.
The stylist finished trimming Sasha's hair to Stefania's length before
she parted it the way that Stefania did each morning. She grinned as
she showed Sasha his new look.
Sasha laughed at his girlish cut and said to his subordinate, "I almost
look like you."
Stefania smirked as she retorted, "Almost, but you don't rock it as
good as me."
"You're wearing makeup. We'll find out if that's still true when we
get on an even playing field, honey," Sasha replied with a grin as he
flipped his hair over his shoulder.
"Cocky," the stylist interjected.
"He always is," Stefania replied while Sasha nodded in agreement.
Sasha tipped the stylist before he paid for the cut. They then made
their way out of the shop and walked towards their cars. They made
arrangements to meet at Sasha's home early the next morning before they
said goodnight to each other.
The next morning, Sasha got up early and had a quick breakfast before
Stefania knocked on his door. Sasha greeted her in a pair of
sweatpants and a t-shirt. She grinned at his informal look as she
walked in wearing a grey pantsuit and low-heeled shoes.
After exchanging greetings, Stefania showed Sasha the contents of the
bag she was holding. Sasha looked over the outfit that she was lending
him, which was nearly identical to hers. It was only the shade of grey
and notching on the collar that distinguished the pantsuit from the one
Stefania was wearing that morning.
Sasha removed his shirt before Stefania handed him one of her bras.
Sasha held it out in front of him for a minute, feeling like a bit of a
degenerate for having his secretary's bra in his hands.
Stefania gave him a curious look before she asked, "Do you need help
putting it on?"
Looking to save face, Sasha nodded in response. Stefania helped him
put his arms through it before she hooked the bra around his back for
him.
While she retrieved two baggies full of cooked, dried rice to stuff his
cups, Sasha's fingers reached to clasp the hooks of his bra that were
situated over the middle of his back.
'How the hell do you hook this yourself?' Sasha wondered.
Stefania grinned at the perplexed look on her boss's face before she
stuffed the cups of Sasha's bra. The weight of the zipped bags
surprised Sasha, prompting him to inquire, "You couldn't have gone with
socks or tissues."
"I wanted to make it more realistic," Stefania responded with a grin as
she squeezed his false bust through the cups of his white bra.
"I'm so sure," Sasha replied, rolling his eyes before Stefania came
over with a white blouse that matched the one she was wearing.
Sasha put his arms through it and buttoned up the top. Stefania handed
him the pants before she also gave him a pair of thong panties that
matched the color of his bra.
"What the hell is this?" Sasha inquired as he held the thong in his
hand.
"You don't want visible panty lines, believe me," Stefania answered her
boss's loud, disgusted exclamation.
"I'm starting to think that we should have worn skirts."
"It was your call to stick to pants," Stefania responded, not
hesitating to remind him of who made the decision he was ruing.
"Fine," Sasha muttered as he went towards the bathroom. He stepped
into the room and closed the door behind him. He pulled down his pants
and stared at the thong.
"This is going to suck," Sasha said to himself, shaking his head while
he stepped into the thong.
"Don't dawdle," he heard his underling yell through the door, unaware
that she could overhear his grousing.
Sasha laughed a little at her demand before he pulled the thong up his
legs and was surprised by how soft the fabric felt. He squirmed as he
noticed his manhood starting to stir from the feeling.
"Christ, pull yourself together," Sasha counseled himself before he
reached for his member and pulled it between his legs as one of the
girls at the salon had advised him to do the day before. Sasha was
unsure why she knew how he should cross-dress, but he was willing to
take her word for it.
Sasha stared down at his smoothened groin while he pulled his thong as
high up on his waist as he could. He squeaked at the feeling of it
pulling up his crack, but he was amazed by the transformation. He
turned towards the mirror and saw his busty top and smooth groin, all
below his shoulder length hair.
Blinking his eyes, Sasha stared vacantly at the reflection, feeling
that the girl staring back at him looked good for someone who just
rolled out of bed. Sasha reached for the pants next before he pulled
them up his legs and fastened the side zipper.
After exhaling deeply, Sasha drew open the door to the bathroom to let
Stefania in to do his makeup and hair. Stefania smiled as she worked
on his face and told him about how she did her friends' makeup over the
years.
Sasha laughed along with her as he enjoyed spending time outside of
work with Stefania. While they were friendly at work, they had
boundaries and rarely mixed work with their personal lives.
When his makeup was done, Stefania turned her attention to his hair.
She parted it like her own and began to run a brush through his hair.
Sasha enjoyed the feeling of each stroke. Surprised by his own
reaction, he was thankful that his erect manhood was out of sight and
trapped between his rear and the hard lid of his toilet.
Stefania smiled at his transformation before she said, "Hold on, let me
get the final touches."
"Holding," Sasha replied with a smirk.
Stefania moved through the home to grab the bag she had brought over
that morning. She removed a pair of knee-highs and rolled them down
for Sasha. Sasha brought each over his feet, reasoning that they were
not that different from some of the thin socks he owned.
While Sasha wiggled his toes in his nylons, Stefania removed a pair of
low-heeled, black shoes that were similar to the shoes on her feet.
Sasha grinned at her and said, "You went all out."
"It's a once in a lifetime thing," Stefania replied.
Sasha shrugged in response before he slipped his feet into the shoes.
Stefania gave Sasha an inquisitive look as she asked, "How do you
feel?"
"Pretty," Sasha replied with confidence.
"What fazes you?" Stefania inquired, slightly surprised by his quick
response.
"I'll tell you when I find something," Sasha responded as he stood up.
He was surprised by how different it felt to be standing in the
slightly heeled shoes.
Stefania noticed his expression and asked, "Did you find it?"
Sasha smiled at his smirking secretary and nodded his head a little
before he said, "I'll get used to it."
"Used to it? In one day? Really? Okay, if you say so, doll face,"
Stefania replied in amused tone.
"I said I'll get used to it."
"So, this isn't a one time thing?" Stefania responded as she crossed
her arms and gave him an inquisitive look.
Sasha laughed as he replied, "No, it's a very one time thing."
"Whatever you say, babe?" Stefania responded, throwing up her hands
before she removed a necklace from the bag.
"For me?" Sasha asked with mock surprise as he brought his hands over
his face.
"It's to make you look pretty," Stefania rejoined with a grin.
"Oh, ever so pretty," Sasha said as he lifted his hair to let Stefania
put it on him. She locked the clasp in place before Sasha let down his
hair.
Stefania patted his bra straps through his blouse before she asked,
"So, is this what it feels like to be a boy?"
"What?"
"Locking a girl's necklace for her?"
Sasha blushed, realizing how girlish he acted by moving his hair out of
the way for Stefania. He had seen it done a number of times before
when he was the guy locking the necklace; he thought it was the natural
thing to do in the situation.
Stefania grinned at his silent embarrassment before she handed him the
matching jacket of his pantsuit. Sasha put his arms through it before
his eyes turned to the mirror.
Stefania noticed his surprised look while she put her arm around him
and said, "Take a look at us."
Sasha's eyes widened as he looked over his altered reflection. He felt
that he looked even more like Stefania than he ever thought he could.
From their matching haircuts, to their matching pink lips and smoky
eyes, Sasha was amazed by how similar they looked.
"I think you were born to be a girl," Stefania teased as moved her hand
from his shoulder to his waist.
"I wouldn't go that far," Sasha replied, trying to hide that he found
his feminized reflection attractive.
After Stefania pulled him out of the bathroom, she clasped the purse
she had brought for her boss. Sasha took it and placed his keys and
wallet in it before he turned to Stefania and asked, "Can give me a
ride?"
"Don't think you can drive in heels?" She inquired.
"It's not something I really want to find out," Sasha answered.
"Understandable," Stefania responded before she agreed to drive him to
work since she was planning to come back to retrieve her outfit from
him anyway. Sasha then followed Stefania out to her car before he
said, "Let's take mine."
"You're going to let me drive it?" Stefania asked, surprised as he
never let her drive his car before, despite her occasional request.
"It only seems right...sis," Sasha replied with a laugh before opened the
doors and got into the passenger seat.
Stefania beamed as she got into the car and adjusted the leather seat
and mirrors. She drove them to work as they talked about their work
for the day. Once they reached the office, Sasha had Stefania park in
his reserved spot.
"Oh, I get the full executive treatment."
"That's how things roll when you're with the big dog," Sasha cracked.
"Uh...huh...got it...Doooooooog," Stefania replied with a smile as she parked
his car.
Sasha stared at the door to the office building as Stefania shut off
the car engine. She saw his apprehensive look and asked, "Getting cold
feet?"
"You could say that," Sasha replied.
"So, you're fazed, are you?"
Sasha turned towards his secretary, knowing that she was enjoying
seeing him uncomfortable for once. He shook his head as he got out of
the car and started towards the door. He fetched his key card out of
his purse to gain access to the building before Stefania hurried in
behind him.
Sasha walked through the building and saw a handful of faces that paid
him no attention. Stefania got beside him as they turned down a
hallway towards their office. Sasha opened the door to let Stefania in
prompting her to remark, "Ah...thank you. You're a lady and a
gentleman."
"Once a gentleman, always a gentleman," Sasha replied.
"With such a pretty face," Stefania cracked.
"It's not easy being one of the beautiful people."
Sasha walked through the office beside Stefania before the first
employee caught sight of them. He gave them a blank look before he
began to laugh.
"Is something funny, Douglas?" Sasha inquired as he put his hands on
his hips, trying to act serious.
Stefania started to laugh before more people came over towards them,
sure that Sasha had worn a ridiculous costume for a Halloween. The
staff approached Sasha and Stefania and joined their coworkers'
laughter as they processed what they were seeing.
"What's all this about?" One girl asked with a smile.
"We're twins," Stefania said as she hugged Sasha.
"Almost identical," one employee cracked.
"Hush," Stefania replied, not happy about the insinuation.
"I think he makes a better you than you, Stefania" another girl chimed
in.
Stefania shot her a peeved look that made Sasha and his coworkers
laugh. Sasha smiled as he realized that Stefania was getting it worse
than he was, even if it was all in good fun.
"This is the most appropriate costume choice I've ever saw," Doug
remarked.
"To the twins," another male employee replied as he held up his coffee
cup while he walked by.
Sasha blushed at the remark before he began to pantomime next to
Stefania as he mirrored her every movements while she responded to some
comments. The office laughed at his actions before he straightened up
and told everyone to get back to work.
There were murmurs around the office as the order came down, but they
complied with their boss's direction. Stefania smiled at Sasha as they
made their way towards their workspaces, knowing that their plan was
certainly not done for the day.
Sasha went to step into his office, but Stefania clutched his jacket
sleeve and said, "Let's start this off right."
Stefania moved past him into his office and placed her purse down on
his desk before Sasha sat behind Stefania's desk. Their actions
attracted amused looks from the other employees in the office.
They each logged onto the computer system and began to do their normal
work at each others desks as if there was nothing amiss. Sasha made a
few phone calls to important clients. The staff laughed in the
background while Sasha spoke in his normal tone even as he let a heeled
shoe dangle off his nylon covered toes.
As Sasha hung up after one call, the receptionist smiled as she walked
by and said, "Any time you want to swap places with me, just let me
know."
"Right on the top of my agenda," Sasha replied with a laugh.
"I think you'd do a good job," the receptionist responded.
"I know. I'm just that good," Sasha rejoined before he got up and
moved back into his office. Stefania got up and went back to her desk
before they each continued their work.
They swapped places a few more times as the morning passed into the
afternoon before they took lunch. Stefania ordered from a neighboring
deli and brought it back to the office.
Sasha and Stefania ate together in the break room before they went back
to their desks and got to work. After a few minutes back at his desk,
Sasha got up and headed towards the restrooms.
He was thankful that a single user bathroom was located off the hallway
for handicap people, since it kept him from having to use the ladies or
men's room. After washing his hands, Sasha walked back into the
office.
"Oh, Stefania, can you get me a cup of coffee?" Stefania asked as
Sasha started to step into his office.
"Of course, Stefania," Sasha answered with a smile while he took
Stefania's cup.
The staff in earshot laughed at their exchange while Sasha made his way
to the kitchenette. Sasha made Stefania a cup of coffee before he
called over to her desk to ask how she liked her coffee.
It took a few rings for Stefania to answer. After taking his
instructions from her, Sasha added cream and sugar to the coffee,
thinking about how strange it was to make her a cup for a change.
Once Sasha finished stirring the coffee, he started back towards her
desk. He stopped briefly once he turned and saw that she was not
sitting at her desk. He moved towards it and caught a glimpse of her
behind his desk in his office.
Stefania grinned and waved at him as he walked into his office and
said, "There, you are Stefania."
"Thank you, Stefania," Stefania replied with a wink as he dropped off
her coffee before she replied, "I left something on YOUR desk for you
to check."
"I'll get right on it," Sasha responded with a smile.
He turned and walked out of his office and saw the report that Stefania
had been working on for him. He went to sit down at the desk, but
decided to get himself a cup of coffee first. He choose to do it
himself, just to play with the office's expectations a little more.
Once he returned with his coffee, Sasha sat behind Stefania's desk. He
crossed his legs like Stefania often did while he began to read the
report. While Sasha read the report, a few employees walked by and
made small jokes about where he was working, but Sasha paid them little
attention as he focused on what Stefania had produced for him.
"Yes, this is just all right," Sasha heard an unfamiliar female voice
say, breaking his concentration. The sound made Sasha's eyes rise up
from the document in his hands as he got a glimpse of a well-dressed
woman making her way towards him.
"Can I help you, Ma'am?" Sasha inquired in a meek tone, nervous about
the unannounced presence of an outsider in the office.
"You can start by not calling me Ma'am. You can call me Miss
Wiesenthal."
Sasha stared at the woman in silence. He searched his mind before the
name finally registered. Sasha was dumbfounded while he looked the
woman over for the first time.
"Where is Sasha Teleshova," Miss Wiesenthal replied as she looked at
the nameplate on the desk before adding, "Stefania."
"Uh...," Sasha stammered, trying to come up with an explanation as
several of his employees stared at him in stunned silence.
"Oh, never mind, there she is," Miss Wiesenthal replied as she glanced
into his office.
Sasha's eyes widened as the woman hurried into his office.
"Sasha, pleasure to finally meet you," Miss Wiesenthal bellowed.
"Uh, what?" Stefania replied while she stared at the stranger that had
barged into Sasha's office.
"Katharina Wiesenthal. You may have heard of me. I'm the boss of all
your bosses," the woman announced.
Stefania stared at her in silence with a slack jaw for a second before
she managed to reply, "Uh, yes. Of course. It's such an honor."
"Glad to hear it. Now, I've got to say this place is running just the
way I like it, a good clean operation. I have to say I've heard that
you're somewhat unkempt at times, but there's not a hair out of place
on that pretty head."
"Thanks," Stefania replied, starting to sweat.
Katharina noticed her trepidation and said, "Don't worry, my dear.
This isn't going to take long."
'Oh, God, is she here to fire Sasha?' Stefania wondered.
"I've got big news for you."
"What?" Stefania replied, filling the silence.
"You've earned a promotion."
"Why?" Stefania asked before she realized that she knew the answer.
"You've been doing a great job. That's why!"
"But..."
"Now, now, a woman like me has no time for humbleness, Sasha."
"But I'm..."
"My newest prot?g?."
"You don't understand, I'm..."
"Don't try to change my mind, Sasha. It never works because I'm always
right. I have an instinctive feeling about things that never steers me
wrong. You'll need to learn that if you want to keep working for me.
Just admit it. I'm always right."
"But..."
"Butts are made for sitting, but you don't have time for that now.
That's why you've got to keep working your ass off."
"I'm trying to..."
"Good. I expect my executives to stay in shape, and you're doing a
damn good job of it. You like dynamite, honey."
"Thank you?" Stefania replied in a quivering voice.
"Don't get too comfortable though. When you work for me, you can never
sit on the back of your heels and, by the way, those are very nice.
Are they Prada?"
"Not on my salary."
"Well, that'll be changing now, dear."
"I appreciate that, but..."
"Come on out, Sasha."
"Why?" Stefania replied as she hurried towards Katharina who was
stepping out of Sasha's office.
"I want to make the announcement myself," Katharina replied.
"But, I have to tell you..."
"It can wait till Monday."
"Monday?"
"Your start date," Katharina responded.
"I..."
"Listen, up," Katharina shouted as she stepped out of the office,
making Stefania fall silent again while Sasha stared at them both. His
foot nervously tapped on the floor as he crossed his arms over his
increasingly upset stomach.
Katharina saw that she had the silent room's attention before she
continued, "I have big news for you all."
Katharina paused to ensure that all of her low-level employees were
fixated on her before she continued, "Your very own Sasha Teleshova has
been promoted up to our corporate offices. I would like you all to
give her a nice round of applause for her great work and her new
position."
The workers were stunned by the announcement as Katharina turned
towards Stefania. The employees gave a tepid round of applause for her
before Sasha joined in, not sure what he should do at that moment.
Katharina's smile fell as she shouted, "Louder."
The workers started to clap louder. They knew better than to disobey
Katharina. While none of them had ever met her before, her reputation
was well known throughout the company and in the industry. She
dismissed people for minor infractions, and they did not want to give
the woman any excuse.
Katharina nodded at the decibel level of the applause. Once it died
down, she smiled as she said, "We've already hired her replacement.
She will start on Monday."
Sasha stared at the woman in shock, as did the rest of the staff before
Katharina said, "It was nice to see you all. Sasha, congratulations
again, and I will see you bright and early on Monday. Toodles."
"Thank you. Nice to meet you," Stefania forced herself to reply before
Katharina whispered in her ear, "And try to get your secretary in
shape. She's spent most of my time here with her jaw dropped like an
idiot."
Stefania nodded before Katharina walked out of the silent office and
headed towards the elevator. Once she was out of earshot, the office
came back to life. Sasha heard the mumbles about what had just
happened. Sasha got to his feet and stared at Stefania as he said, "My
office, now."
Stefania hurried in behind him before he slammed the door shut. He
glanced at her for a second before he shouted, "What the fuck are we
going to do?"
"I have no idea," Stefania replied, equally clueless about how to
handle the situation that had rapidly taken shape around them.
"We can't keep pretending to be each other."
"It's going to come out eventually," Stefania acknowledged.
"We have to tell her!"
"And then what?" Stefania asked.
"She'll probably fire us for making her look like an idiot," Sasha
answered as he clasped his shortened hair.
"She'll ride you out of the industry. She's going to fire us with
cause. We're going to be toxic."
Sasha nodded as he looked at his most trusted confident and said, "We
have to get new jobs."
"ASAP," Stefania replied.
"We have to get out of here before she realizes what she did."
"No doubt," Stefania responded before she added, "But we have to keep
up appearances until we do."
Sasha nodded as he said, "Absolutely. You can be me and I'll be you."
"This is a total cluster fuck," Stefania replied.
"I know. Believe me, I know!"
"What are we going to do?"
"What are we going to do? You at least get to wear your clothes. I'm
a guy. I'm going to be looking like a fag for god knows how long."
Stefania cringed as she said, "This is going to be terrible. I can't
be you."
"You're still you, just being me. I'm the one who actually has to
present himself as something he's not."
"But I'm not you."
"You're just using my name. I'm using your name while pretending to be
a woman! Do you understand this?"
"It'll be all right. We can figure this out. We can get new jobs."
"You start Monday, right?"
"And so does your new boss..."
"Oh, God."
"What?"
"She'll think I'm you."
"That's what we agreed to, so yes," Stefania replied.
"No. She's going to think I'm a secretary."
"It's not a bad job."
"But she might not be like me. She'll just think I'm a regular
secretary."
"I think I'm regular."
"No. You're great."
"Thanks," Stefania replied, beaming at the praise.
"This is nuts. Totally nuts," Sasha muttered.
Stefania moved around to Sasha's side as she rubbed his back and said,
"It'll be all right. We'll get through it and move on with our lives."
"I was happy here."
"So was I. I'll probably end up working for some jerk who won't
appreciate me."
"I'll try to bring you on wherever I land," Sasha noted.
Stefania gave Sasha an appreciative look.
"I think we better start looking," Sasha said as he looked up at her
face.
Stefania nodded before she walked back to her desk to begin her job
search. Sasha spent the rest of his day looking for a new job too
before the workday came to an end.
As the workday ended, the two continued to work. A little more than
two hours after everyone else left for the day, Stefania walked into
Sasha's office.
Sasha gave her a wary smile as he asked, "What can I do for you?"
"Sasha, we have to prepare for next week."
"Don't remind me."
"I have to. It's three days from now."
Sasha groaned as he realized that he was almost certainly going to be
spending his next week working as someone's secretary. 'That's what I
went to business school for', Sasha thought.
Stefania looked at Sasha as she said, "I'm going to be heading an hour
in another direction each day. I can't help you get ready every
morning. You're going to have to learn..."
"To be you," I replied.
"To be a woman," Stefania responded, almost unable to meet his gaze.
"This day couldn't get worse."
"I think you need to think about this, Sasha."
"You're going to teach me how to be a woman in two days?" Sasha
replied with a sigh.
Stefania nodded.
"Okay. Let's get this over," Sasha said as he got to his heeled feet.
"We need to get you the right look first," Stefania replied.
"What's wrong with my look?"
"It's my look."
"I'm supposed to be you," Sasha countered.
Stefania stared blankly at Sasha for a moment before she replied,
"True, but you need some clothes."
"Right..."
"You can have some of mine. We'll divvy it up, but you're going to
need some of your own."
Sasha nodded before he followed Stefania out the door. They exited the
office before Stefania drove them over to a nearby discount store.
"We're shopping here?" Sasha inquired, recognizing the name of a store
he never ventured into.
"Yes, a lot of the girls shop here."
Sasha's jaw dropped while he was forced to recognize that he was one of
the girls until he found a new job. He shook his head, almost in
disbelief that such a thing could happen.
"Can't we shop somewhere a little nicer..."
"We could, but you're going to get the most bang for you buck here.
You know that I'm going to be getting your salary now, right?"
"Shit," Sasha realized before he replied, "Wait, the money will still
be deposited in my bank account."
"Shit," Stefania replied, shaking her head before she added, "I still
don't think you'll want to spend down your savings on new clothes..."
"No," Sasha acknowledged before Stefania added, "And you know, they
think that we're each other."
"So?"
"We've got to live like each other," Stefania said as she parked the
car.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm you and you're me."
"And that mean's what?"
"This car is an executive's car; your house is not a secretary's..."
"Woo...wait...are you..."
"This is my car until we figure this out. Everything that's mine is
yours and yours is mine, basically," Stefania replied.
"This can't get worse."
"Just try to get through it. We'll get new jobs and this whole thing
will be one big funny story one day."
"You really think so?" Sasha asked his former secretary, unable to
hide his incredulousness.
"Yes," Stefania lied as she got out of the car.
"Ha...ha...," Sasha said to himself as he got out of the car, feeling that
the joke was on him.
Sasha followed Stefania into the shop and tailed her through it as she
picked up various garments and inspected them. Sasha looked at her and
asked, "What are we shopping for, exactly?"
"Everything a girl like you is going to need?"
"Which is?"
"What do you think?"
"You're the girl," Sasha retorted in a whisper.
Stefania smirked as she countered, "No, we're the girls."
Sasha gave her a silent stare before she held a dress up against him
and said, "This is so you."
"It's so you," Sasha rejoined, crossing his arms.
"It's so both of us," Stefania replied, with feigned excitement.
Sasha glowered at her, as he noticed the stares her words had gained
them. Stefania grinned as she said, "Stop pouting like a little kid.
We've got to make the best of this."
"Easy for you to say."
"There it is again," Stefania replied before shaking her head at him.
"I'm sorry. I know it's not your fault."
"No. It's not. And try to remember, that I'm doing you a favor here."
"I know. I'm sorry."
"Thank you," Stefania replied before she held another dress up to him
and said, "This will do."
"Am I going to try them on?"
"If you want," Stefania answered.
"How will I know if they fit?"
"We're the same size, dear. Amateurs need to try something on. I can
tell just by looking at it."
"Is that a real thing?"
"I haven't tried anything on in years," Stefania replied.
Sasha was surprised by her confidence. She seemed to be in her element
in the store.
Sasha followed her around the store as she handed him more skirts,
dresses, pants and tops before she made him fetch her a shopping cart
to put it all in. Sasha was amazed by the array of discounted clothing
she had selected.
"Is this how you shop?"
"I wish. I'm building you a wardrobe from next to scratch here."
"How much is this going to cost me?"
"Quite a bit. Fortunately, you've got the right name to sign with that
credit card."
Sasha nodded before Stefania laughed as she said, "Imagine if you had
to sign a name like a Bernard or Cornelius."
"Cornelius? Is anybody still named Cornelius? Didn't that go out with
the dodo?"
"We can only hope," Stefania replied before she led him into the
intimates section of the store.
"Woo...I can't go in there."
"Why not?"
"I'd feel like a perv."
"You're a woman. Women can come and go as they please here," Stefania
said while she reached for a package of panties and tossed them into
the cart.
Sasha followed her nervously through the section, feeling completely
out of his element. While Stefania filled his cart with panties, bras,
socks and knee-highs, Sasha looked around; sure that someone was going
to realize that he did not belong in the area.
Stefania smirked at his nervous glances before she held up a package of
pantyhose in front of his face and asked, "Do you see these?"
"Yes," Sasha replied, unable to see much of anything else besides the
package.
"Tights are cute and in, but pantyhose are a sick joke designed to piss
women off. That's why next to no women wear them anymore."
Sasha started to laugh before Stefania continued, "I'm serious. These
things run like crazy. You can go through packs of them like that,"
before she snapped her fingers.
"So, I should be careful...."
"Stay away from them entirely. You're too rough for super delicates.
You should stick to thick, high denier stuff."
"So, I won't have to shave my legs," Sasha said with a smile.
"Oh, no you will. Your hair will poke right through your tights and
they're not all opaque," Stefania cautioned.
"What's that?"
"Not see through," Stefania answered.
Sasha nodded again before Stefania selected a few pair of tights and
put them in his bag. Sasha noticed that they were all solid black,
solid gray or patterned in a plain and simple style.
Once they finished in the intimates section, Stefania led Sasha towards
the shoe racks. Sasha's eyes scoured the shoes before Stefania pulled
out a few pairs of low-heeled shoes, wedges and flats for him to try
on.
"I thought you could tell by sight?" Sasha inquired with a smirk as he
put his hands on his hips.
"For my clothing, not your shoes," Stefania retorted before Sasha
slipped his feet out of his shoes and tried on each pair. Once they
found ten pairs that fit, they were put into the cart and they made
their way towards the register.
Sasha was stunned by the bill when the cashier finished ringing it up.
Still, he took out his credit card and paid for it. Stefania laughed
at his stunned look while the cashier handed him the bags and said,
"And you wanted to go someplace expensive."
Sasha shook his head as he replied, "Good call."
"Damn right. I've got a lot of practice at this chick thing," Stefania
replied while they carried the bags to Sasha's car. Stefania then
drove them to her apartment before she helped Sasha carry the bags
inside her residence.
Sasha stared around Stefania's apartment, surprised by how small it
was. Stefania hugged Sasha as she said, "It may not be much, but it's
a home."
Sasha nodded, trying to keep himself from shouting how wrong everything
felt to him. He walked around the apartment with the bags in his hand
as he looked over each cramped nook.
'This is my life', Sasha thought as he looked around the apartment that
reminded him of the first one he had lived in when he graduated from
college.
Stefania led Sasha into the bedroom before she cleaned out her closet.
She divided up her clothing, taking most of it, but leaving some of it
behind for Sasha. Her intimate drawers were then cleaned out and
Sasha's feminine undergarments replaced the space that hers had
recently filled.
Stefania closed the drawers for him before she went through her jewelry
and purses and selected what she was leaving behind for him. She was
hesitant to leave any of it behind, but she knew she had to do so.
"It's just for a little bit," she counseled a distraught looking Sasha,
even as she was trying to remind herself of the same.
After each changing into pairs of flats, they packed up the bags that
they had emptied with Stefania's belongings before they headed back to
the car to go to Sasha's house. Sasha felt uneasy the whole ride over.
"What will the neighbors say?" Sasha asked.
"When?"
"When they see you in my house and me at your place..."
"We'll just tell them that we know each other and are staying over for
a bit..."
"Okay," Sasha replied, thinking that her explanation sounded reasonable
in the short term.
The car came to a stop in front of Sasha's home before Sasha helped
Stefania carry her belongings into his home. While Stefania unpacked
her stuff, he collected a few of his most personal items. He stood
before the front door with them in his hand in silence for a few
moments.
Stefania shrugged as she came down the stairs to see him off. Stefania
looked at Sasha and sighed as she said, "I know it's not ideal, but
we'll make it through this."
Sasha nodded in silence before he asked, "Why can't I stay here?"
"Because you're me."
"But we can stay together..."
"It wouldn't seem right. At least not yet. Maybe, if I get on
Katharina's good side, she might..."
"It won't work," Sasha admitted to himself.
"Well, maybe..."
"It won't," Sasha said shaking his head, cutting her off again.
"It's just for a little while," Stefania reminded him again before she
handed him her keys.
Sasha took them in silence while he looked at his keys that were
situated beside Stefania's purse. 'This is really happening', Sasha
thought while shaking his head.
"I'll see you tomorrow," Sasha said quietly before he walked out to
Stefania's car. He got into and adjusted the cloth seat and mirrors.
After driving back to Stefania's apartment, Sasha let himself inside.
He looked around and could not believe that he was really going to live
in the small apartment for any period of time. He felt like he had
been pushed back nine years in his life as he sat down on the lumpy
couch and tried to make sense of his life.
The next morning, Stefania came over to start getting Sasha ready for
his temporary life. Sasha moved slowly as she started helping him with
his bathroom routine and dressing. After showering, Sasha followed her
instructions on how to shave his legs.
"Is this really necessary?" Sasha found himself asking as she went
through the leg wear and treating his shaved legs.
Stefania nodded before Sasha added, "But it's not going to be that
long."
"It's long enough that you're going to have to do it right," Stefania
countered.
With his legs already shaven, Sasha shrugged and decided to continue
moisturizing his legs before Stefania began to counsel him on how to
put on hosiery. Sasha rolled it down as she directed before he began
pulling the silken hosiery up his legs.
After getting them on, Sasha stepped into a skirt and brought it up his
legs. Stefania then turned to help him with his bra. Sasha struggled
to hook it, despite her instructions on arching his back.
"Screw this," Sasha exclaimed as he hooked the bra and pulled it over
his head before he situated the fastened bra over his body.
"Huh," Stefania responded as she saw what he did.
"What?"
"You're lucky. I wish I could do that," Stefania said with a chuckle
while Sasha began to put on a blouse.
"That's the only way I'm getting it on," Sasha countered with a scowl.
Stefania nodded, sure that he was probably right before advising him to
invest in some front hooking bras.
"I'll keep that in mind," Sasha retorted.
With his clothing on, Stefania began to help Sasha with his makeup.
She gave him instructions as he added each cosmetic to his face. Sasha
struggled to keep from rushing it as Stefania cautioned him against
acting with haste and taking shortcuts.
The amount of time it took Sasha to do his makeup was not lost on him
and made him frustrated. He stared at Stefania and asked, "How early
do you have to get up for work?"
Stefania responded with the truth.
"Jesus," Sasha exclaimed, shaking his head, sure that he was going to
have to get up even earlier to get ready given his lack of practiced
skill with hair and makeup.
Once Sasha finished with his makeup, she helped Sasha brush out of his
hair. Sasha brushed it out from top to bottom as Stefania instructed,
even as it seemed unnecessary to him.
"Can't I just wear a ponytail?"
"Not all the time. It's unprofessional," Stefania chided in response.
"I can't win."
"All the sisters can't win," Stefania countered.
"But you all have a head start on me ," Sasha retorted.
"A pussy does help in that regard," Stefania responded with a grin.
"I'm so sure," Sasha replied, unable to hide his irritation.
"Come along," Stefania said as Sasha was brushing at his hair.
Sasha followed her into the bedroom of the small apartment. Stefania
asked, "What are you going to do with your shoes?"
"Wear what we bought."
"Good answer."
"Is there a bad answer?"
"Yes, I left a pair of 4 inch heels here. I don't wear that pair so I
didn't take them, but stay away from them."
"Why?"
"You're not ready for them."
"I would like to think," Sasha rejoined.
"Hey, I'm trying to help you here. Remember to wear low heels, wedges,
those sorts of things."
"Do you think I'm going to go out and get some strappy heels? You
know, really try to catch the attention of the man of my dreams?"
Stefania glared at Sasha for a second before she replied, "No, but the
girls might swoop you up in some of their shopping."
"I think I can handle myself," Sasha replied
"Fine," Stefania responded, feeling exasperated by her former boss as
she reached down and gave him a pair of low-heeled shoes.
Sasha put them on and got to his feet before Stefania began to put him
through his paces as she began to instruct him on how to move like her.
"Why do I have to be like you?"
"Because you are Stefania, now. Your new boss expects you to be a real
woman."
"Nobody else saw anything but a woman..."
"You're talking about strangers in a shop, a boss who comes in like a
hurricane and blows out, not a new, every day boss who's going to be
working with you and doesn't know the truth. There's a higher standard
of making sure that she doesn't really know that you're just playing
dress up."
"I'm not playing dress up!"
"That's right. You're a girl. That's what you need them to think,"
Stefania noted.
Sasha nodded in response before Stefania went back to teaching him how
to move and act like a girl. Sasha immersed himself in it all day on
Saturday before Stefania went home for the evening. Sasha spent the
night watching things that Stefania watched. It bored him, but he
soldiered through it before going to bed far earlier than he normally
did.
Stefania came back over the next morning and made Sasha get ready as a
girl again. Stefania watched him and gave him pointers as he did it,
mostly, without instructions.
Stefania put Sasha through his paces again before they took a break for
lunch.
"What are you going to do on Monday?" Sasha asked as he ate a bowl of
salad at the two-person table.
"I'm going to work and do the best I can."
"Do you think you can do it?"
"I think so. I'm just hoping they don't check my records."
"My records," Sasha countered.
"Fine, you're records, which are mine, in their eyes," Stefania
corrected.
Sasha grunted before Stefania noted, "That's not lady like."
"I'm not a lady."
"As long as you're using my name, you are," Stefania countered.
"What does it matter?"
"Neither of us can afford to rock the boat, Sasha. We both have a lot
to lose if this gets out. We have to put our heads down as long as we
have to before we find a lifeboat and jump ship."
Sasha nodded, agreeing with her sentiments. Sasha then said, "I hope
my new boss isn't a dick."
"She's a woman. How bad could she be?"
"She's a woman?" Sasha asked with alarm.
"You didn't know..."
"No."
"Why does it matter?" Stefania inquired, confused by his reaction.
"You never worked for a woman, have you?"
"No."
"I did."
"So?"
"They're way crazier than men. They all have a chip on their shoulder
from..."
"Katharina didn't seem to..."
"Katharina is going to ride you hard."
"I can take it," Stefania countered.
"You'd better be up to it," Sasha replied.
Stefania nodded, aware that she was working under his name, every bit
as much as he was working under hers for the time being.
They finished eating lunch and went back to working on Sasha's
mannerisms before Stefania was ready to head home. They wished each
other luck as Sasha saw her off. Sasha closed the door to the
apartment behind him and walked into the kitchen. Sasha made himself a
light dinner before he relaxed in the living room and then turned in
for the night.
The next morning, Sasha got up and got ready for work. After
showering, shaving and eating, Sasha got dressed for his first day of a
work as a secretary.
Sasha put on his bra first before he took hold of a pair of black
tights. He rolled them down with his fingers as Stefania had trained
him before he stepped into them in. He slowly covered every inch of
his smooth legs with the silky fabric. As he neared his waist, he
stood up and jerked his body from side to side as he stretched the
control top up over his waist, as far as he could.
Sasha stared across the room at his closet and the skirt he had picked
out the night before. Sasha walked towards it and unclipped it from
the plastic hanger. The cheap clip snapped in his hands, prompting him
to roll his eyes.
"Great omen," Sasha muttered as he tossed the broken hanger into a
trashcan before he unzipped the rear zipper of the black, pleated a-
line skirt and stepped into it. Sasha slid the garment up his legs and
to his hips before he fastened the zipper.
Sasha then stuffed the cups of his bra before he took hold of a green
sweater with a ballet neckline. He slipped it over his shoulders and
pulled it down over his body. He straightened out the sleeves over his
wrists before he bent down to pick up his shoes.
Not wanting to drive to work in heels, Sasha decided to wear a pair of
wedges. He bent down and slipped his right foot into the first shoe
before he followed with his left.
Sasha felt that his center of balance had shifted as he stood up,
balancing himself with the wall while he did so. Sasha shook his head
at his difficulty before he went over to Stefania's jewelry box.
Finding that her rings did not fit, Sasha put on a silver necklace and
bracelet.
Once he secured the bracelet, Sasha moved into the bathroom. He
brushed out his hair and sprayed it with hair spray to keep it in place
before he started with his makeup. Going for an understated look,
Sasha limited his makeup to eyeliner, mascara and pale pink lipstick.
Sasha hurried out the door after finishing fussing with his makeup,
determined not to be late. He rushed out of the apartment building and
to his car. The feeling of the cool autumn air blowing up his skirt
was a surprise to him and unlike anything he was familiar with.
Sasha felt safe as he stepped into the car, giving him a little more
anonymity for the moment. As he looked around the plain, cloth seated
car in day light for the first time, the vehicle did little for his
self-esteem as he started it up. The simple dials seemed years behind
that which he had become accustomed.
Sasha drove to the office and saw that the new boss was already in.
She was parked in the spot that had long been reserved for him. Sasha
bit his lip, ready to scream at the sight as he continued through the
parking lot and parked behind the building where Stefania had parked
each morning.
After parking the car, Sasha groused while he made he made his way into
the building. The air seemed colder than it had the week before as he
took each step towards the door.
It all seemed different to Sasha from the last time he entered the
building. The last time, his outfit had been a lark. Now, it was for
real. The sound of the click of his heels on the floor of the lobby
even sounded louder than it had the last time he had entered the
building. Each click felt as if it made a mockery of what he was.
Sasha pushed through the front door of the office. He greeted the
receptionist who was settling in at her desk. She gave Sasha a nervous
smile and said, "The new boss is in."
"Is she?"
The girl gave him a tepid nod.
"Is something wrong?"
The girl's eyes darted both ways before she stared over her shoulder
and said, "She's no Sasha Teleshova."
"There's only one," Sasha replied with a smile.
"Unfortunately," the receptionist responded while Sasha walked by her
towards his former office.
With each step, Sasha thought more about the receptionist's words. He
wondered if she was giving him a warning. Sasha stomach started to
churn as he stepped towards his desk.
Sasha's eyes peered into his office as he glanced at the woman behind
his old desk. The woman looked up at him and met his gaze.
Placing his purse down, Sasha turned to the woman and introduced
himself.
"Ah...Miss Halama, I've been expecting you," the woman replied.
Sasha nodded before the woman said, "Come in."
"Okay."
"Close the door," the woman ordered.
Sasha nodded as he closed the door behind him, while his heart began to
race. Sasha turned towards the woman who told him to take a seat.
Sasha followed her instructions and crossed his legs. The woman
introduced herself and said, "I've heard quite a bit about you,
Stefania."
"Anything good?" Sasha replied, hoping to lighten the mood.
"Everybody thought they were saying nice things about you."
Sasha nodded, wondering how she took their words. Sabrina crossed her
arms as she said, "People are telling me that you and the old boss were
like two peas in a pod."
"We were on the same page a lot, yes," Sasha admitted.
"I heard that you even gave her some advice from time to time."
"When she requested it, I certainly gave it. I'd be happy...," Sasha
began answered to answer.
"Well, I don't know how things were run before, but I don't need any
suggestions from my secretary," Sabrina retorted, cutting Sasha off.
"Why break what's not broken. I had a lot of success with the old
boss," Sasha replied with a half-truth.
"Things can always be improved."
Sasha nodded in response to her comment before she said, "Let's set
some parameters in our relationship at the start. Okay?"
"Okay."
"You're the secretary, and I'm your boss."
Sasha nodded.
"You're here to assist me. That's all. Understood?"
"Got it," Sasha replied, feeling taken down several pegs as this woman
laid down the law to him from his old seat.
"Good. Now, I would like a coffee, milk no sugar."
Sasha nodded before he asked, "Do you have a cup?"
The woman nodded before she turned and reached across her desk to
retrieve the cup and handed it to him. Sasha took it without a word
and started towards the kitchenette.
Some of the employees looked at him, wanting to get a feel for their
new boss. One whispered, "What's Sabrina like?"
"A bitch with a capital B," Sasha replied.
The man's eyes widened as Sasha continued towards the kitchenette.
Sasha made his new boss a cup of coffee as she requested before he
carried it back to her office.
Sabrina took the cup from Sasha before she assigned him a few tasks to
take care of. Sasha nodded and acknowledged her since they were all
within his new and unwelcome job title.
Sasha returned to his desk and began making phone calls to setup
appointments and meetings for Sabrina. Sasha felt strange making calls
for someone else. Whenever he had to speak to someone he knew, Sasha's
heart would start to race as he threw his voice even more than he did
for Sabrina. Sasha knew that he sounded like a joke, but the people on
the other end treated him professionally.
Once Sasha finished with the calls, he began to start composing the
emails that were going to convey new office policies being set by
Sabrina. He stared at her handwritten notes as she drove home points
that were already policies of the company. No personal calls, emails
or meetings were allowed on company time. There were always
exceptions, but Sabrina wanted to make clear that she was going to keep
a tight lid on them.
It was the new policies that she was setting that made Sasha do a few
double takes as he turned her policies into sentences for consumption
by the rest of the staff.
'No outside sodas?' Sasha thought, 'What difference does it make to
her?'
The only thing Sasha could think of was the vending machine that was in
the office that Corporate kept stocked. 'This is nickel and dime bull
shit!' Sasha thought while he went to write down the next policy.
As Sasha stared at the words he wrote, he read them aloud, "All
employees leaving the premises must alert the receptionist that they
are leaving and when they are expected to return. Upon return, they
must sign in with the receptionist!"
"Did I hear that right?" One male coworker inquired as he walked past
Sasha.
Sasha nodded before the man shook his head as he continued towards his
office. 'She's treating us like children', Sasha thought before he
wrote another policy.
Sasha shook his head as he wrote, 'No desk may have more than one
personal item on it. All desks must be properly maintained with pens
to the upper right of the keyboard, one note pad to the corner of the
desk and staplers kept under the monitor.'
"This is so asinine," Sasha said as he moved onto the next policy.
Once Sasha finished typing the rules, he printed them and proof read
them before emailing the policies to Sabrina for review. While he
hoped that Sabrina would realize how petty some of the rules were, she
sent them onto the workforce with minor stylistic changes.
From his desk, Sasha could hear the exasperation and groans of his
former subordinates. Sabrina could hear them too, and she called Sasha
into her office.
Sasha asked what he could do for her before Sabrina held up her coffee
cup and asked for another cup. Sasha took it, but before he could step
out the door, Sabrina added, "Stefania, close the door for a moment."
Sasha nodded as he closed the door and turned to face her. She shook
her head as she said, "I heard some muttering out there from the
children. This is a place of business, and I expect it to be run
professionally. I'm going to need you to be my eyes and ears out there
when I'm in here. If somebody is violating a rule, let me know. Do
you understand me?"
"Yes," Sasha answered.
Sabrina nodded before Sasha stepped out of the office and scowled to
himself as he thought, 'She expects me to be her mole!'
Sasha got her the cup of coffee and brought it back to her, hearing
complaints about the new rules being whispered between the other
employees the entire way. He gave it to her without saying a word
about them before he returned to his desk to order her lunch.
Sasha went and picked it up from the deli in the basement of the
building and brought it into Sabrina's office. She gave him token
thanks before he was allowed to take his own lunch.
Sasha went down with a few of his coworkers who spent the entire lunch
complaining about Sabrina and her new rules. Sasha agreed, largely
keeping his voice down as he did not want anyone to overhear them and
let Sabrina know what they thought about her.
After returning from lunch, Sasha headed for the restroom. He reached
for the handicapped door but found it locked. One of the girls from
the office gave him a sympathetic look as she said, "Follow me,
sister."
"Thanks," Sasha replied to the smiling girl who led him into the ladies
room. Sasha went towards a stall with her and worked his tights down
his legs as the girl next to him reminded him, "Sit down, Stefania."
"Right," Sasha replied before he sat down and went to the bathroom.
After finishing and washing his hands, Sasha reported his return to the
receptionist who rolled her eyes and shook her head that she was tasked
as the enforcer of the policy. Sasha laughed at her and said, "This is
going to make you miss popularity."
"I'm sure."
Sasha walked to his desk and settled in before he began going through
the day's mail. He sorted it before he brought it into Sabrina's
office. Sabrina took the mail from him for her before she asked,
"What's with the mail still on your desk?"
"That's addressed to other people."
"I'd still like to see it."
Rather than fight her, Sasha went and retrieved the mail. Sabrina

second week, two employees quit rather than continue to work for her.
Sasha thought about doing the same thing, but he knew that Stefania
