Chapter Eight
Kyle's hands started shaking and for a minute he couldn't even reply. He
was frozen in the dressing room, stunned by the news and then finally he
mustered the strength just to text back, praying she was just pulling
his leg.
"Please say you're teasing me, Allie like you always do." Kyle was in
shock as he texted. "Please."
"Please tell me you'll let Nana or mom pick my dresses, and don't fuck
this up until I get home," texted Allie. "That's all I ask, and maybe
mention to Nana you'll need new saddle shoes from my uniform. They were
tight on me at the end of the semester, so they're going to be even
tighter on you."
"You want me to go to summer school as a girl and be on stage in a
pageant?" texted Kyle. "Have you lost your mind?"
"Seriously? I told you how I fucking hate baseball, and you know I suck
at it. I'll be faking an injury the second I get there, but at least I
get to hang with nothing but cute boys, which is the only silver
lining!" texted Allie. "Well that and you're going to look adorable in
the summer uniform, so just don't blow it by making me look too smart
all of a sudden! LOL! In my top drawer, I just bought some new headbands
that'll be cute on you, so text me a pic your first day of school,
pretty girl!"!
"Stop it Allie," texted Kyle. "I know you're just fucking with me! I'm
not going to summer school! I'm not being in pageants!"
"Allison," yelled his mother, opening the curtain. "You're not even in
the gold dress, and do I need to take that phone away again? It's
getting late and we have a lot more dresses to get."
"Sorry, mom," said Kyle, dropping it down to his side. "I'll put it
away, but can I just ask you... am I seeing Kyle later, because doesn't
he leave for baseball camp tomorrow?"
"Honey he left earlier today instead with some new boys your dad hooked
him up with," said his mother, folding her arms. "Is that who you were
texting with?"
"You're not kidding?" sighed Kyle, getting upset. "He really left
already? A day early?"
"Yes honey, and I didn't think it would matter to you since you'd be out
with the girls all day, and then out tonight at a movie with your
boyfriend," said his mother. "Is there a problem you two can't resolve
over the phone?"
"Oh gawddd! No. It can't be resolved over the phone, and it's not
exactly a problem between us," said Kyle, feeling all the air sucked out
of him. "And I have a date tonight?"
"Yes, he asked permission and I shouldn't let, but I am," said his
mother. "Johnny's just too sweet, and I'm hoping he'll rub off on you.
It's not like you have to study for school yet, right?"
"Oh gawwddd, school's tomorrow?" slumped against the wall.
"Ahhh yeah, and if you don't get dressed, we'll be here all night, so
it'll be time for school, so please," said his mother, rolling her eyes.
"Gold gown, and I think that one you'll dazzle in, my soon to be beauty
queen! Now do I need to take this phone away again?"
"No, mom," sighed Kyle. "Be right out."
"Please! I'm giving you thirty seconds tops, and I think you'll like it
better if you can envision yourself with your hair in an updo and with a
really bold twist. Pageant girls will always be done up a bit over the
top, so you have to starting thinking like that because....," Lectured
his mother, creating a quick messy updo and snapping in a clip before
stopping. "Allie, are you paying attention? You hear a word I just
said?"
"Uummm yes, mom." Kyle shook, needing a second again. "Be right out in
the gold dress."
He hit the screen ready to turn off the phone and his entire screen was
filled with hearts and kisses.
All he could do was shake his head as he scrolled down and it read.
"Gotta go, as we're heading in a tunnel," said Allie. "Luv you and it'll
be fine. Pray I make half as good a boy as you make a pageant girl. Not
exactly my best day ever, but text me tomorrow and I'll get back to you
when I can."
What was supposed to be over again soon wouldn't be, as Kyle had little
choice but to slide into the gold sparkly dress. Even if he dropped the
truth on everyone now, there would be no good solution as the chain of
events would spiral further as he walked from the room in heels he could
not yet handle, with his hair up in what would become his first pageant
dress.
A date with Johnny at a movie with him certainly expecting to make out
with him would be on his evening's agenda, but that wouldn't happen
until two more dress stores later and endless debate by three exhausting
women.
He knew he could handle school easily and she was right he had to avoid
making her look too smart as she was far from the student he was, but
quite the drama queen. A week of tutoring from his boyfriend after
class, practice walking in skyscraper heels and learning to strut across
stage would feel like paint drying, as all he wanted was it to fly by
but it didn't. In and out of Betty's chair he went, experimenting with
hairdos and in and out of Nana's family room being fitted would be the
easy parts, as they grew closer every day.
He just about shit his gown on pageant night, happy just to place and
more relieved he didn't fall. He had made it a week as Allie, taking
everything thrown at him and even getting along better with his mother
than she ever had. When finally the Sunday after the pageant had
arrived, it would be his sister's task to get her mother to the
restaurant for her surprise party, and it seemed from Allie's texts she
wouldn't be allowed back so once again he'd be stuck for another week as
her.
He played the wonderful daughter, getting some money from his father to
spend a little time shopping with her on her birthday, and then relaxing
together getting mani-pedis.
"Ready, honey?" Holly asked as Kyle pulled his hands out of the nail
dryer.
"Yes mom, and I got this. Dad gave me the money," said Kyle, checking
his nails before he walked to the counter and paid.
"I heard," said his mother, following him. "But I'm still used to you
pocketing it for yourself and letting me pay."
"Well, not today," laughed Kyle, knowing his sister. "This has been such
a nice day shopping and getting our nails done together."
"Shockingly, yes?" joked his mom, feeling relaxed for a change.
"Oh please," said Kyle as they walked out. "I love that nail color on
you. What a great choice for that dress, mom!"
"It is, right?" replied his mother, looking at her nails and then his.
"Maybe with the plum dress you're wearing next pageant, you should do a
color like this next weekend?"
"Sure maybe we could do the same color together?" Kyle looked up at her.
"Wouldn't that be nice?"
"Ok, don't get carried away?" smiled his mother before nudging him. "But
I'd like that, honey?"
"Me too," said Kyle, looping arms as they walked. "And I haven't heard
you say it yet, but I think you even loved being in the audience last
night at the pageant. I know Nana did, and that brought back memories,
didn't it?"
"Yeah bad ones, as we used to fight even worse back then, and of course
she did. Her favorite was in it," his mother nudged him. "How about
winning next time? and I hate losing."
"Winning?" gulped Kyle. "Are you serious?"
"Oh you'll get there eventually yes! We're not doing this to lose, are
we?" replied his mother, getting more serious and then winking at him.
"So how about get in the damn top ten, and we'll go from there."
"I'm going to try hard to mom, and do you mind if we just duck in to the
restaurant for a second," said Kyle, looking away and rolling his eyes.
"I really need to use the restroom?"
"Can't you hold it? And how I hate you using dirty public restrooms?"
said his mother, not wanting to go in.
"This looks like a beautiful place, mom," said Kyle, going right to the
door. "It's a fancy restaurant and do I even have to say I'd be just as
grossed out as you to go in some dive."
"I guess not," laughed his mother. "But don't be slow please like you
usually are, and since you won't want to be late for your date later?"
"He's already used to me being a few minutes late, and it's girl stuff,"
said Kyle, making a face and pulling open the door. "So please already?"
"Girl stuff that I'm hoping you have in your bag, because I don't have
any on me, Allie," said his mother. "Or girl stuff like changing to the
long wear lip stain again like I know you've been doing, so you can kiss
Johnny all night and not come home a wreck? Wait or could it be the
other girl stuff like checking your hair for the third time in the last
hour? because if its that... it's been fine and it's still fine."
"Really mom?" said Kyle with some attitude, grabbing her hand. "Just
come with me, and I don't have any more hairspray, so I'm borrowing
yours."
"When did you become that girl?" laughed his mother, being dragged
along.
"Which way is the ladies room sir?" Kyle asked the man at the check in
desk.
"Are you here for dinner, ladies?" asked the man. "Because our restrooms
are for patrons only?"
"Well not yet, sir?" smiled Kyle, winking at him. "But possibly if I
don't end up leaving you a puddle. So please, kind sir?"
"You ladies use the powder room through the double door at the end of
the hall, and then it'll be just through a second door once you pass
through our lounge," said the man with a smile.
"Thank you," said Kyle, grabbing her hand and pulling her along again.
"Come on, mom."
Through the first double door they went and then as they walked towards
the second one, Holly just watched him stop, take a breath and then grab
for the door handle.
"So before you touch that door, did you want to use my hairspray because
you do know I've known about my party all along, honey?" said Holly,
checking her face in the big ornate restaurant mirror.
A little giggle would be all he could muster before Kyle turned around
and looked at his mother.
"I kind of figured knowing you, but I wasn't going to be the one to ruin
the surprise," said Kyle, turning around.
"No," said his mother, fluffing her hair in the mirror before turning
and looking him dead in the face. "You never have been, have you?"
"You know daddy, and especially Nana worked hard on this?" said Kyle,
putting his hands on his hips. "How long have you known?"
"Well my mother thinks she's good at secrets, but she's not as good as
she thinks," said Holly with a big smirk on her face. "Let's just say
I've known from the day of the junior prom. Maybe I was a little
surprised about her pampering you without my consent, but once she
shifted the fitting to her house I knew she must have had more than just
one dress up her sleeve, since I was with her when she bought you casual
outfits and of course this dress is far from casual isn't it?"
"Yeah, not exactly too casual is it?" smiled Kyle, looking at himself in
the very fancy pink dress. "Not what I'd wear on a date either, I
guess?"
"Well you haven't been in anything I've expected you in on dates have
you?" smiled his mother. "But I guess that's on my mother too, right?
She seems to have bought all you're pretty date night outfits?"
"Probably, but can we make it through your birthday without you fighting
with you mother?" said Kyle, getting annoyed. "Now please mom, the whole
family is here so how are we playing this? You are going to act
surprised aren't you?"
"I should be in Hollywood I'm so good at keeping secrets and acting
surprised," laughed Holly. "And I've been looking forward to having the
whole family with me more than anything, but you sure everyone is here
or should we wait a few minutes?"
"Well we're right on schedule from when I was supposed to bring you in,
so everyone is here I think," said Kyle, looking at his phone and
checking the time. "Unless maybe you mean except my brother?"
"Your brother?" said his mother. "Why so worried about him after such a
nice girl's day we just had?"
"Well if you really knew about this party and this meant as much to you
as I hope it does, then you know it would have been nice to really have
the whole family here," replied Kyle, a bit hurt. "Maybe I would have
hoped you would have taken him out of camp and had him here!"
"Would you have?" asked his mother, giving him a look. "You miss sharing
the house with a sibling to throw pranks with?"
"Yeah," nodded Kyle, getting a bit upset. "Quite a lot honestly."
"Well I wouldn't get your hopes up if I were you, so I don't expect a
sighting of a brother tonight, but we've all made the necessary family
adjustments and sacrifices for both of you, so please! You're doing your
pageants and I didn't ground your ass, so could you hold back the water
works please, princess," scolded his mother. "This is my night to be the
center of attention for a change, or did I miss something?"
"Sorry," nodded Kyle, sucking it up and wiping under one eye.
"Waterproof. I'm good. Just give me a second."
"Good, because I don't need more than a second while you powder your
nose," said his mother, snapping her fingers. "So a brother I can't
produce, especially with you in that dress, but your sister, as much as
a pain in my ass she is I would never want to celebrate without, so what
do you have to say now, young lady?"
"Huuhh!" sighed Kyle, spinning around with his hands and covering his
mouth.
"How's that for a surprise party?" replied his mother, rubbing his back
as his sister walked towards them.
"Holy shit!" said Kyle as they hugged and then squeezed each other and
then he let go. "Why mom? Oh my gawwdd why?"
There stood Allie in a full formal military type uniform. Blue pressed
trousers, a buttoned up blue blazer with an army green necktie, and a
blue service hat. Glossed men's shoes matched the brim of her hat as she
stood in an impeccable man's outfit that ordinarily she'd never be
caught dead in.
"You really have to ask?" said their mother, wiping a tear now herself.
"But now I do need to go freshen up and I'll give you two a minute to
catch up, then we'll all go in together."
"This is crazy," said Kyle, touching the entire uniform. "Why would she
do this to you? You're supposed to be in baseball camp."
"Yeah, that got changed but I'm in camp already! I'm in military camp. A
correctional camp for kids that need attitude correction, have
discipline issues, a foul mouth," said Allie as they held each other's
hands, looking at each other teary-eyed. "Stuff like that, and we do
play baseball once a week and of course I suck at it. Wait, sorry. I am
a work in progress at it."
"You didn't need that!" said Kyle, pulling off Allie's hat. Well maybe a
little but... oh my gawwddd... look at your hair. Holy shit! This is so
radical."
"Well I was ok with bobbing my hair but that didn't fly," smiled Allie,
running her finger through her manly gelled back side parted hair. "I'm
ok, and don't make me cry about this again or I'll kill you, but I'm
going to need those extensions that still look great on you, so I'm
still ripping those out when I get home."
"Of course, and I've been so nervous without you here! I guess maybe now
I know why you've never answered my calls!" said Kyle, trying not to cry
and hugging her again. "I guess they only let you text but you should
have told me. I would never have let this get that far. I love you too
much. I would have taken all the punishment myself! You know that."
"Like I wanted it to get this far! I basically was given no choice, and
next thing I knew I was in the car with dad, being driven in the middle
of the night to where I had no idea?" explained Allie. "And just so you
know, you weren't talking to me at all once prom was over."
"What do you mean?" asked Kyle, confused. "I texted you every day like
five times and...?"
"And you do realize mom took away my phone before I left?" nodded Allie,
taking a phone out of his pocket. "This new shit phone has no numbers I
can dial and no calls I can get, except from the ones she allowed and
programmed in like herself, dad, Nana, and my sergeant."
"Mother fucker, so she's been texting me letting me think it was you?"
asked Kyl, flabbergasted.
"Yup," nodded Allie. "Turns out you're not the only one that
impersonates me. Even dressed like this, I guess I'm still popular."
"Glad you can laugh about it?" grumbled Kyle. "And yeah you are, thanks
to me. I've had do your homework, play the dingbat girl in school and be
this damn pageant princess."
"Well I heard my grades are up," laughed Allie. "And 19th place first
time out of forty girls? That's quite impressive! I can see that ninth
runner up sash heading down over you in no time."
"Even with a boy band haircut, stuck in that uniform you still can't
control mocking me can you?" said Kyle, rolling his eyes. "While you've
been away learning a little discipline, she's been up my ass twenty four
seven and now that I know she's known, that makes it even worse! Much
worse!"
"You think you have it worse than I do?" said Allie. "I'm in military
school, listed as a boy! Only my sergeant knows, and he has been told to
treat me like one! They're kicking my ass daily, and all I can say is
yes sir, kissing ass while the toughest part of your day is figuring out
how to do your hair, re-doing seventh grade and practicing prancing
around to conquer stilettos!"
"Like mom is easier than that! Everything I do is wrong, and most times
she's right! Besides school, it wasn't like I knew how to make a curl or
put on makeup!" said Kyle with some attitude. "Seriously? I'd trade with
you in a second!"
"Would you?" smiled Allie. "You trade in acting cute, being pampered and
having your tongue down a cute boys throat every night to have a mean
mother fucker wake you up in the middle of the night, make you drop and
give him fifty? Salute after being belittled, then polishing his boots
on command? Or how about running miles and sliding under barbwire after
spending the day learning to be the perfect gentlemen and kiss ass
soldier! Trust me you wouldn't!"
"I'm so sorry," gulped Kyle. "That does seem terrible, so no, but maybe
after today mom will end this or worst case let me trade with you?"
"Trade with each other?" interrupted his mother, walking in on them now.
"Like none of this ever happened?"
"Well," sighed Kyle. "Didn't you punish us enough now? Look at us?"
"I am, and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift from my
wonderful little pranksters," smiled their mother. "My stuck up bitch of
a daughter getting the ass kicking she's deserved for years, and my
sweet teen son gets some more than just punishment for taking advantage
of my mother's never wavering love and kindness. Life lessons my loves,
that both of you have so needed, and the best part is you brought this
upon yourselves."
"So then it's not over?" asked Kyle. "Even though you know?"
"Not on my birthday it's not!" scolded his mother before she turned,
seeing the party room door crack open.
"Kyle. Hey Kyle," whispered a voice with her head sticking out of the
room. "Uuumm? Got a second?"
"Is that Tiffany?" sighed Kyle, not expecting her.
"Not a good time, babe," said Kyle as she wiggled over in her tight
dress with her boobs out, hurrying towards them.
"Oh sorry?" said Tiffany, straightening her dress and fluffing her hair.
"And hi Allie. Wow, you look gorgeous in that dress?"
"UUmmm thanks," said Kyle as she looked amazing. "And so do you."
"Oh sorry, but they wanted me to check if she's here yet?" whispered
Tiffany. "What should I tell them?"
"Just go back in and tell them soon?" said Allie, pecking a kiss and
rolling her eyes. "Tell them she's almost here?"
"Ok," said Tiffany, slowly planting another kiss on Allie and sliding
her hand down his lapel and chest, smiling. "I'm on it."
"No wonder the guys like her?" said their mother, slapping her head.
"She's stunning, but a total fucking bubble head."
"Why is she here?" asked Kyle dumbfounded. "What the hell is going on
here?"
"Hopefully nothing under your skirt again, especially in that dress,"
joked Allie.
"Let's hope not, but could she have had really no idea I was your
mother?" laughed Holly. "If not, I think I love the girl too. You think
she thought I was just one of your friends?"
"She's fucking hot, but is an idiot, mom, so happy birthday again.
You're a teen queen," laughed Allie. "As if? And who knows what the hell
registers under all that blonde?"
"This is insane. So now you're dating Tiffany as me?" Kyle asked. "Is
that what's happening here?"
"Yup, the only second of pleasure I've been allowed, and I figured you'd
appreciate it," said Allie. "Mom gave her my private number as a reward,
since you've been like this perfect little princess for her, so I'm
keeping your honey in the picture for you."
"But how?" asked Kyle, totally confused. "I thought you were in military
school all day?"
"Unfortunately I am," nodded Allie, giving her mother a nasty look. "I
only had an actual date this morning, and I figured it's the least I
could do too since you're kicking ass in school for me."
"So you were on a date with her while I was out keeping mom busy?"
sighed Kyle, holding his chest. "Shopping, getting our nails done and
doing girl stuff?"
"Like I could do any of that like this?" grumbled Allie. "So yeah, and
she is as amazing a kisser as they say, but why should you even care
right now since I heard you basically make out like every day? and you
two are making quite the couple of love birds?"
"Well not every day!" said Kyle, turning eed. "I had a pageant, so
didn't see him yesterday and I doing this for you! As you!"
"If you say so?" laughed Allie. "And either way I'm cool with it!
Honestly, you're really cute together."
"Whatever?" replied Kyle, getting frustrated. "So can we just go in now
mom, and can this please be over after the party? Please?"
"In one second, and not by a long shot!" scolded their mother. "You've
both got obligations, and you'll be fulfilling them. Understand me!"
"Yes mom," said Kyle, dropping his head.
"Like it matters at this point?" said Allie. "Happy face everyone, and
let's go in."
"Wait, one more thing," said Kyle. "You said after the prom, but you
never told me when you knew? How you found out?"
"I didn't," admitted their mother. "You both fucked up. You were good,
Kyle. In fact amazing, and make the perfect little princess, except you
both forgot how much I don't trust your sister. You see as the live
stream event ended and I got home, I tracked Allie's phone like I always
do when she's out, and guess what? It tracked being at home. I texted
her and she of course said she'd be getting in the limo soon, which of
course was the truth as you would be soon, except then I checked Kyle's
phone and it tracked to the prom, so I knew something was up. Up to your
room and her room I went, finding the little liar in the closet, hiding
and texting. Busted!"
"Shit!" gulped Kyle. "So if we would have switched phones you'd have
never known?"
"Well we'll never know," smiled his mother. "Will we, prom girl?"
"But when I got home and all those times after that?" Kyle asked. "All
those times you questioned me like I was snagged, but then I wasn't, you
were baiting me?
"Maybe?" laughed his mother. "Told you I should be in Hollywood, but so
should you."
"But you've been making me go on date after date?" moaned Kyle. "Go to
summer school as a girl? Put me in a beauty pageant? You knew while I
was in the limo before I was stuck doing all that?"
"Yup?" replied his mother, with a smirk. "Except the first date on prom
night. That was all you princess, and you make quite the convincing
drama queen. You could certainly win best actress."
"It was," laughed Allie. "Oh my gawwdd, I still think about you in the
rose garden kissing him. That was so romantic?"
"Yeah, which I was doing for you!" groaned Kyle.
"Oh yeah, but while you continued your making out in the limo, I was
getting my ass chewed out, soaking off my nails while having my hair
chopped off before being sent off," yelled Allie. "Believe me, you got
the good end of that deal."
"I'm sorry, and I do feel horrible about that, but you pushed me to kiss
Johnny?" said Kyle. "The only saving grace was texting Tiffany all night
after I kissed a boy! You think that was easy to deal with?"
"You seem to have dealt with it just fine, and I haven't had to do much
pushing for you to go on dates," said his mother. "Now enough, both of
you and let's finally go in please."
"Ok, but everyone knows then?" thought Kyle. "So the acting stuff? It's
over? We don't have to keep this up anymore?"
"Who's having the blonde moment now? We can't just stop this second? Our
whole family is inside?" scolded Allie. "Plus the Tiffany and Johnny
problem? Get it?"
"Crap?" nodded Kyle. "Maybe?"
"Well get it together, because no one knows excect your father and I,"
said their mother, rolling her eyes. "Now again this is my day, so if
you two wouldn't mind trying to take my spot light for a change, then
can we just go in so I can act surprised already?"
"Of course mom, but one last question," said Kyle, touching her arm and
stopping her as she was ready to walk towards the door. "So what did you
mean by not over by a long shot? When do we get to be ourselves again?"
"Oh you two are grounded indefinitely," smiled his mother. "Military
school goes all summer, and you've still got six pageants, three more
weeks of classes and Allie's job as a girl scout summer camp counselor
after that, which will be paying for all these damn dresses! You two
will be learning the lesson of your lives, and then at the end of the
summer, I'll decide if we can flip you back."
"End of the summer?" gulped Kyle. "Baseball camp would have been over
next another week! Mom, that's so unfair!"
"Is it?" replied her mother. "You really want to talk about things that
are unfair? You sure you really want to go there, prom girl?"
"No," said Kyle, distraught.
"Ok mom, we've been unfair and idiots, but the entire summer of military
school!" groaned Allie, getting pissed. "I thought maybe I had a week
more, max too! That's bullshit, mom!"
"As if you're not justifying everything with that filthy mouth?" yelled
her mother, grabbing her arm. "Want to try for eighth grade as a boy in
military school, Allie?"
"Sorry. No thanks," said Allie, zipping her lip. "Yeah I'm good!"
"Exactly, so listen up and listen good my lovely children," said their
mother, grabbing each of them by an arm and looking at them. "End of
summer with no ifs ands or buts! You got me!"
"Yes, mom," answered both of them collectively.
"Much better, and my plan is this will end with the military ball which
celebrates your presumed completion Labor Day weekend if you don't fuck
it up. You'll have your date there, and she'll have hers," said their
mother, looking right through Allie and then at Kyle. "We get through
that without a hitch and we'll return to your pre-prank days, since by
then that high pitched voice will be starting to finally deepen, and we
should start seeing a little sprouting on that chest of hers."
"Oh gawd, I hope so," said Allie, touching her chest through her jacket.
"Then do as you're told, and don't fuck up," scolded Holly. "If not I'll
have to invoke some more drastic changes which include the next day
signing you up to continue in Military school as a different kind of
student, and you princess get to re-do the eighth grade on estrogen, so
maybe you will be the prom queen this time. Am I clear?"
"Crystal," they both answered.
"Much better, so I suggest you both show me something so that my
decision is easy! How about you win a pageant?" said the mother, looking
at Kyle and then Allie. "Or you win the obstacle course against some
boys? Or you know what? Maybe it will be easy if you don't! Now for the
last time, this is my day so no more from either of you! Now big fucking
fake smiles and in we go, so I can act surprised."
Away she walked as they followed as she pushed open the door and posed
with her hands over her mouth, pretending to be surprised.
They just looked at each other, rolling their eyes as they played along
hugging and kissing their friends and relatives, quickly fading into the
party as their mother was garnering all the attention anyway.
It would be as bizarre as any day of his already turned upside down life
to sit at a table holding hands with Johnny next to his sister with her
hand in Tiffany's. They looked at each other from time to time as they
danced with their dates, and he hated how Allie would giggle at him as
he was stuck in girl talk with his mostly female younger cousins.
In the end it was a great party, and their mother was happy for a
change, instead of just ruling with an iron fist on their cases.
It would be back to military school though for Allie, and back to summer
school for Kyle, as they assumed their roles like they both knew they
had to. He of course easily passed summer school, never needing study
time with Johnny, which instead would serve like extra mini-dates. With
his mother, Victoria and his grandmother as a pageant coaching team,
they'd be all over him every waking moment, as he was their Barbie now
as they shaped him into their pageant contest challenger.
Allie on the other hand would have a visit from Tiffany every other
weekend as she relished the time just not to be cooped up or ruled for a
change, as week by week they both counted down the days.
At the end of the summer, finally the ball had arrived as families of
every student would attend the ceremony that their son's had made it
through. Never could he remember his father and grandfather looking so
spiffy and his mother and grandmother shined like they must have when
they were pageant girls back in the day, in long gowns.
He'd of course walked in much different, being a young girl of
appropriate age in an ostentatious, shimmering ballroom dress. By now he
was used to being in gowns fit for a princess, but this would be even
bigger as the huge layered ball skirt in pastel pink swept across the
floor like a wedding dress. He greeted his sister on the arm of his
boyfriend before sharing a hug with her date Tiffany, who was in a red
gown just as extravagant.
Atop his dark slicked back brunette roots bloomed an elaborate blonde
updo, with perfectly orchestrated rolled multi-tonal curls as it towered
in unwavering layers. With his makeup flawlessly done as always and a
bold fuchsia lip, he turned more than a few heads of the other boys at
the ball as he gracefully trotted across the room.
He'd become a young debutant through practice and pageantry, as no
longer did he have any rivalry with Tiffany, instead they shared mutual
admiration like girlfriends. Even now though, after the entire summer as
Allie, he couldn't take his eyes off her, looking forward to nothing
more than switching back and having a turn with her. It made him feel so
warm inside to see how she smiled at the man in uniform when she danced
with his sister, as he tried not to stare, but that would be impossible.
The saving grace would be not having to worry about any reaction in the
huge ball dress, as he knew she aroused him but it didn't matter.
"Ok you two," said their mother, pulling them aside as the dances ended.
"Give me a minute, please."
"Sure," said Kyle as Allie followed.
"What now, mom?" groaned Allie. "We're doing what we have to here
tonight, aren't we?"
"Yes, you've been the perfect gentlemen and of course Cinderella has
dazzled as I expected. So not that I like letting either of you off the
hook, but you made it through," admitted their mother. "I had my doubts,
but tomorrow we start anew, but there damn well better not be any more
ridiculous pranks. We clear?"
"Yes mom," they both replied.
"We promise," said Allie, holding up her hand.
"Don't you think I know better, and you're full of it?" laughed their
mother. "But if there is, I expect them to be harmless and quickly
admitted. You both got me?"
"Yes, mom," nodded Kyle, interrupting. "And there won't be anyway. I'm
done impersonating a girl."
"Were you impersonating one?" said his mother, rolling her eyes.
"Because the jury is still out on that one?"
"Ahhh yeah?" groaned Kyle, making a face. "Not funny, mom. Please,
Allie's bad enough with that?"
"Good, then I should expect the bitchyness you've gotten so good at to
go away with the attitude queen then?" replied his mother, getting
annoyed. "Now we've had too nice a night for a change, so that's a
discussion for another day, so run along both of you before I change my
mind."
"Thanks mom, and no need for that," said Allie, grabbing him by the arm
and lecturing him as she pulled him away. "Time to walk away, sis."
"I am, but I hate when she needles me," said Kyle as she led him away
from their mother as she went to sit down at their table. "Every day
it's constant. Fix this. Change that. Why can't you win a pageant
princess? I've done nothing but do what she asks and try my hardest, but
then all I say is one little thing and she's right into ripping on me or
go attack mode."
"Did you like forget that I know that better than anyone?" laughed
Allie. "And that part I'm not looking forward to! So keep it together,
and what did they pull your hair up to tight?"
"Sorry! She just rubs me the wrong way sometimes," smirked Kyle,
reaching up and patting his do. "And actually it is a little tight?"
"Which it won't be shortly, so just go with the flow," said Allie. "Just
avoid her and we're done."
"Ok," nodded Kyle. "You're right. Let's just go hang in the back with
all the other kids."
They walked to the back of the room, socializing while everyone was
having some dessert and as a series of boring closing speeches began.
Eventually the parents were directed into a meeting room regarding the
next steps for the graduates when their grandmother came over and pulled
he and his sister away from their dates and friends for a minute.
Out the back door they followed her as her car service was waiting and
then she had the driver pop the trunk as she pulled out a shopping bag
for each of them.
"So just a few end of summer things, as I'm proud of both of you," said
Nana, holding a bag in each hand. "You know Nana usually likes to spoil
you, and I would have at your mother's birthday, but she was up my ass
so I got both my favorites just a little something, ok? Don't tell your
mother though please."
"Oh you didn't have to, Nana!" smiled Kyle, surprised.
"Really! That so sweet!" said Allie, getting excited then trying to act
like him. "I mean.. umm awesome Nana!"
"Honey, it's me and I hate what she's done, but let's leave that between
us ok?" winked Nana. "Now after you two open your gifts you'll leave
what you can't slide in your pockets in the shopping bags until the time
is right, understood?"
"Sure, Nana," said Allie, curiously looking at Kyle. "But then you..?"
"You first dear," said Nana, tapping Allie. "And now's not the time."
"Oh my gawwdd, a new iphone!" said Allie, squealing. "Finally I can toss
this crap thing mom stuck me with?"
"Let's just say not yet, since she doesn't know, but soon enough dear,"
smirked Nana. "But eventually we'll have your old number put here now
that this military non-sense is over, but at least now you two can text
between each other privately, and as well as with me or whoever you'd
like to, honey."
"Oh Nana! I could almost cry," said Allie, holding her chest a bit
emotional and then opening the next box, reaching in and seeing all this
hair. "And wait? Hair extensions? Oh my gawwddd, these are gorgeous?"
"The best they make for my original princess, which I'm sure you'll want
since this ridiculousness is over, so I want you to have your own since
I'm thinking she'll still want hers," smirked Nana, then tapping Kyle.
"Now your turn honey."
"Ok but...?" Kyle was embarrassed. "Maybe let me apologize first and you
know that.."
"Shush, and don't please! Honey I know everything I need to know, and
there's nothing to apologize about," interrupted Nana. "Now please dear
before it gets too late and your mother is looking for us."
"Ok," said Kyle, almost emotional now, opening his box. "Uuumm a
calendar, a fancy list to fill out and big candles. Uumm thank you,
Nana?"
"Open the other honey, and maybe you'll figure it out," grinned Nana,
expecting his confusion. "Or should I remind you first who's birthday is
next?"
"Oh mine is but ...and is that?" asked Kyle, lifting it from the box. "A
tiara? Wow that looks?"
"Gorgeous?" said Allie, confused as well. "And expensive?"
"Oh?" thought Kyle. "Like the pageant winner got, or like what Tiffany
got at the prom?"
"Well I may be old with bad cataracts, and no one else might know it,
but Nana knows you're still fifteen until next year my love, and these
things take some time and planning," smiled Nana. "And my eyes have also
never deceived me on how you looked at the gorgeous young lady staring
at the nail salon with some envy, so I like her but I certainly wouldn't
want you jealous of what she has when you can have it too."
"Oh? Yes?" said Kyle, staring at it, mesmerized. "Thank you Nana. It's
beautiful, but I never expected to have anything like she has, and well
I didn't win a pageant or prom queen so..?"
"Well you're a winner in my book, and I never want my grandchildren
longing for anything while I'm alive, so put the phone in your pocket
Allie and after you read the calendar, put it in your purse my lovely
granddaughter," winked Nana, getting up and softly touching his face.
"Nana has everything set up and marked off so don't be nervous, and just
think of this as another one of our little secrets we can keep between
us until we need to tell your bitch of a mother anything."
"Oh my gawwddd," said Allie, taking the calendar and paging through it.
"This says 'My Sweet Sixteen' on his birthday and congrats on six
months? What does that mean?"
"It just a suggestion, and everything away like I asked please. She'll
have plenty of time to page through the calendar, now's not the time for
this conversation girls," said Nana, stuffing some things back in the
bag. "And having a party like that is of course up to you sweetheart,
but Nana doesn't want you to worry she has it all scheduled for HER
pageant queen in her tiara already. The best people to help you, the
fancy hall and all you have to do is make a guest list, write some
candle speeches and then just show up like my princess that maybe you
were always meant to be? If that's what you want honey?"
"Nana, I love you more than anything, and I'll always cherish being
close to you, so honestly in some way i also love being your princess
but well...?" said Kyle, holding up the tiara. "This has all just
spiraled like it shouldn't have and was a prank, but this is really
beautiful so it should go to a real princess, which isn't really me."
"It just did, and the only prank was pulled by a higher power
sweetheart, but Nana's worked out fixing it honey. Fixing everything,"
said his grandmother. "But only if that's what you want, and we've got
plenty of time to talk. Now go and I love you both?"
As Nana walked away, Kyle was sick to his stomach and then looked up at
his sister.
"Don't say it, Allie," said Kyle, getting angry. "Don't even tease me!"
"Ok, miss sixth runner up," laughed Allie. "You sure about that? because
you do seem to be a bit over sensitive and you're almost in the top five
now."
"I'll show you how sure I am and I've been waiting to do this all
night," smirked Kyle, taking her by the arm. "This time I remembered to
move the pins, and I've been wanting to do this all night, so come on."
"Wait?" said Allie, being dragged along out of the main ballroom and
into the back room. "You're not thinking?"
"No, I've been planning!" said Kyle, dragging her through a quick
hallway and then into a private big bathroom and turning, locking the
door. "I hid all this shit in here, so stop wasting time and unzip me."
"No way?" said Allie, totally shocked as he reached under his big dress,
pulling off a stiletto.
"Yes way, and I hid all the makeup you'd need here, so are you going to
unzip me or what?" said Kyle, pulling off the other shoe. "Now come on.
I'll help you, and if I do we can do this in like ten minutes. Now unzip
me."
"But we're changing back replied Allie, confused as he turned, pulling
down the zipper. "What's another hour or two at this point?"
"I have every detail covered. Hair, makeup, nails! Now move it, because
it's not the hour I'm worried about," said Kyle, slipping out of the
dress. "You didn't tell me Tiffany was leaving for a private boarding
school tomorrow, did you?"
"Oh yeah, about that?" gulped Allie. "I didn't because I thought that
might upset you. So no?"
"Exactly, and it does, so get undressed," yelled Kyle, pointing at her
as she took off the coat. "You knew I was looking forward to being in
high school with her, and now I'm not!"
"I know," replied Allie, kicking off her shoes. "I feel horrible about
that, and I knew you'd be upset!"
"Of course!" groaned Kyle, pulling out his earrings. "Maybe not as upset
though as Nana or even mom thinking maybe I should have been a girl, or
I'm not even sure what they mean?"
"Yeah well I'm not exactly sure either, but you sure about this?" asked
Allie, unbuttoning her shirt.
"Only thing I'm sure about, as I am not missing a chance to kiss Tiffany
again before she leaves," said Kyle, taking a wipe to his face and
scrubbing away at his makeup. "Now let's go, and after the whole summer
I can't miss knowing what that's like."
"Well if I'm being honest, she may even want more, then of course I had
to make sure not to even make her think we should do," Allie dropped off
her pants. "But I'm not sure you should do that anyway."
"Oh gawwddd! You don't mean sex?" said Kyle, not expecting that. "You
know I've never..?"
"Neither has she, and I don't think so," said ,beginning to apply some
foundation as she was in only a tank and boxers now. "But I'm sure she's
hoping for the move to second base, and I know her hands have been
wandering lately, so?"
"So thank you, and I love you so much," hugged Kyle. "Please hurry."
"I would if you'd let go?" laughed Allie, smoothing her face. "Gawwd I
almost forgot how nice it feels just to put on a little makeup, and you
sure about the rest?"
"Of course I am! I've been stuck as a diva, being drilled not to miss a
detail for months," said Kyle, reaching up and unsnapping some clips,
lifting off the big updo. "And just so you know, you own about five of
these that I've had to pop on and off for pageants, but trust me you
think it was easy convincing Betty to do this hairpiece instead of my
hair for this ball? It took some bullshit that I wanted this spectacular
one of a kind hairdo, but wanted to use it again for a future pageant,
so you'll need to."
"You conniving little bitch," laughed Allie, lining her eyes. "No
problem. I'm dying to wear all of them and walk out on stage as it is."
"I bet, so pick up the pace," laughed Kyle, turning away. "And give me
my boxers."
"Ok now we are sharing too much, but fuck it," said Allie as they shared
a quick laugh as quickly she tossed them over and switched underwear.
Into the suit he went now, dressing in her military school uniform as
she worked like a demon on her makeup. He'd gel back her shortish hair
and then precisely place the hairpiece on her head, adding a boat load
of pins as she worked on her eyes.
Within five more minutes he was dressed, sliding his long nails inside
the white gloves and then helping her on with her dress. It fit just as
they hoped as he moved the pins this time like he was supposed to months
earlier as he zipped her inside it.
She held his shoulder, getting her balance as she stepped into the shoes
as even once she was in them it took her a second to adjust to being in
heels again. It would take a few steps to even get the feel of shoes
like this she was not used to, as never had she been in heels this high.
"Oh gawwdd I almost forgot how nice this felt," laughed Allie, looking
down at herself in the huge ball gown. "Just how bad is it my brother is
better in stilettos than I am?"
"Well I doubt you'll have a problem catching up, and good thing that
skirt is huge, because razors I didn't bring?" joked Kyle, opening the
nail glue. "Give me your hand."
"Ewww I know," laughed Allie as Kyle began gluing a nail on her. "First
thing on my agenda tomorrow and then I'm getting my nails done for
real."
"And first thing on my agenda is getting them off," laughed Kyle, gluing
on another. "That and you are getting these extensions off my head and
helping me dye my hair."
"Deal," nodded Allie as her right hand was now extended.
Quickly now he glued on the rest of the nails and then before she
adeptly hid his top bun inside her hat as they were both now ready.
They were somewhat back to themselves as they stared at their
reflections for the first time all summer as Kyle and Allie again before
stepping from the bathroom, feeling never more alive.
Into the ballroom they walked, as immediately Johnny came over, planting
a soft kiss on Allie as she could feel herself almost melt into his
arms, and the Kyle's head was ready to pop off as Tiffany looped her arm
inside his.
"Finally you two?" said Johnny, again softly kissing the real Allie for
a change. "I thought for a minute you two dumped us."
"Never," said Allie, touching his firm bicep through his suit. "We just
had a few things we needed to handle."
"Me too, so maybe we'll meet you two back here in a few minutes," said
Tiffany, winking at Kyle. "Want to take a walk out back with me, my
hunky cadet?"
"Abso-fucking-lutely," joked Kyle as she took him by the glove, leading
the way.
Out the back door they went as Tiffany looked both ways to see that they
were alone, and then bit her lips as she stared into his eyes. He leaned
in, dying to kiss her but she turned her face and stopped him for a
minute.
"Before we go there again?" smiled Tiffany, pausing before they kissed
and softly touching his face. "I'm ready so are you?"
"Ready?" asked Kyle as his lips were tingling, so close to finally being
on hers. "I'm ready for anything with you!"
"Cool, because it looks like finally maybe we got past a few of those
nerves that have been holding you back from standing tall and you know?"
said Tiffany as she slid her hand down his trousers and across his rock
hard member. "Saluting me!"
"Oh yeah," gulped Kyle, never more excited in his life.
"Good, because I was thinking that maybe tonight you could take that
next step from uniformed trainee to my military man," said Tiffany,
sliding her fingers between her boobs and then pushing her index finger
on her other hand just inside his trousers. "What do you say, Kyle? So
I'll ask again? Ready?"
"Ohhh gawdddd!" sighed Kyle, dying inside, staring down at her boobs and
feeling himself shake as her nail tip made contact at the head inside
his pants. "Yes! Of course yes."
"Perfect, then how about I slide this bra out from under this ridiculous
gown and let's see if that long tongue you've got can handle the big
artillery I've been packing under this dress," Teased Tiffany, turning
around and sweeping her hair off the back of her dress. "Go ahead, reach
in and unsnap me."
"Like right here?" said Kyle, looking around as they were alone in the
semi-lit area.
"Well originally I was thinking we'd get there tomorrow, but I'm too
horny now so why not?" smiled Tiffany, taking a breath. "Conquer my big
hills soldier, and then I'm sure my tonsils wouldn't mind taking down
that big bad missile."
"Really?" asked Kyle as his hands were shaking, about to reach in with
his gloves as he hesitated, realizing his long nails tips were under
them.
"Yeah really?" sighed Tiffany. "Not that I haven't loved making out with
you all summer, but when I touch myself at night alone in bed, it's all
I've dreamed about."
"Me too," gulped Kyle, reaching his hands inside the back of the dress.
"Oh there you are Kyle," Interupted his grandmother. "Your sister said
you'd be out here, and how did you know where my cab would be picking me
up?"
"Oh uuumm... I just figured and needed to get outside for a minute with
Tiffany," said Kyle, pulling away his hands innocently.
"You mean you two needed a break from your overbearing mother, and did I
interrupt you two love birds?" said Nana, walking towards them with a
champagne glass in hand.
"No," smiled Tiffany, squeezing his arm and giving a wink. "We were just
talking, and I'll let you say goodnight to your grandmother."
"Thank you Tiffany, and goodnight to you dear," Hugged Nana before she
ran in.
"Call you in the morning, Kyle," said Tiffany as the mood had been
destroyed, kissing his cheek. "My dad will be here soon anyway."
"Ok," sighed Kyle, a bit defeated as off she ran.
"So now that it's just you and me Allie, and I wanted to let you know
even stuck in military school that I never forgot what bothers you most,
so there was one more surprise I wanted you to have," said Nana with a
big smile on her face. "But again dear I'd rather not deal with your
mother until after you have it. You're ok with that, right?"
"Of course, Nana," nodded Kyle. "But you should know that I'm keeping
something from my mother right now too, so let me tell you because I
don't want any surprises."
"You're not," said Nana, handing him the glass. "Here, take a sip and
let's celebrate the end of all this. It's just champagne, and you're old
enough now."
"Oh sure," said Kyle, holding up the glass. "Old enough? That's
awesome!"
"Yes, dear," said Nana, giving a little nod of approval. "But it'll
still our little secret!"
"Of course, Nana," smiled Kyle, raising the glass. "To the end of our
punishment."
"Exactly! So drink it down," She said as he sipped, she pushed it up as
down his throat it went. "And you're more than old enough, according to
me. Times are different now, and these things can be done earlier in
life."
"Like drinking?" laughed Kyle. "Maybe don't tell mom that either."
"Honey I only tell her what she needs to know, or when I have to,"
Giggled Nana, tapping his leg. "Which won't be until tomorrow since I
signed you out. Now this military school crap is behind you, and i told
her you'd be sleeping at my house tonight, so we could make some things
right again and fix some others."
"Oh that's great news," said Kyle, feeling relaxed. "I can't thank you
enough! I prayed it would be, and expected it would be but still had my
doubts."
"You mean like my Allie dumping the uniform now that this is over?" said
Nana. "Never a doubt, and that starts now!"
"Oh so you don't..?" Kyle began to say, touching his temple. "Oh my head
Nana. I feel dizzy."
"I know dear, and of course I do but it'll be fine," said Nana, rubbing
his back. "And now my Allie deserves a bit of the attention that she
wasn't getting, so Nana is on that! Sure, I also know my Kyle making the
big gorgeous ballroom gown her last dress after the military ball and
not wanting to be the belle of her own ball in a sweet sixteen dress?
Again never a doubt, and why should he be jealous of someone else in a
tiara, but neither should you Allie. Of course SHE shouldn't, and that
I'll fix as well, but certainly I don't want you jealous of what Tiffany
has either, so that, my love, I'm handling."
"Nana?" gulped Kyle, starting to shake. "Never a doubt? Jealous? I..I...
Oh my gawwd I feel light headed."
"Sit and relax. It's just the little something I put in your drink to
relax you," said Nana, stroking his forehead. "I do it to popa all the
time, and then he sleeps like a baby. I knew you'd be too nervous Allie
just thinking about all that! Now let me help you sit in the cab Allie,
and I had your mother's done around this same time which I'm sure she's
never told you about, but now you'll have yours as well."
"But Nana, I'm not..." stuttered Kyle as his eyes fluttered. "We
chhh---"
He could no longer function as the driver came over, helping his Nana
get him in the car service and then he was out like a light as they cab
drove off.
He had no idea how long he was out, and then as he began regaining
conciousness, he looked up seeing nothing but huge lights glaring down
at him. He could barely move his neck, and then he glanced over, seeing
the IV bag hanging with a tube spanning down and then felt his Nana
softly touching his face.
"Nana! Where is my mom?" said Kyle, squeezing his Nana's hand, not
letting her move away from him. "Where am I? Did I have an accident?"
"No, and you'll be fine. Stay calm, and can you feel me holding your
hand," asked Nana.
"No, I can't feel anything," sighed Kyle.
"She shouldn't, and she shouldn't even be awake yet," said a woman in a
cap, shining the light in his eyes. "Relax honey, I'm going to increase
your sedative."
"My sedative?" questioned Kyle. "Where's my mother?"
"Yes I know how nervous you are, so I didn't want you worried, so
believe me the last person I want here now would be her," said Nana.
"When you wake up, it'll be over and you won't be jealous of Tiffany
anymore. Nana has it worked out for popa's precious pumpkin."
"Over?" sighed Kyle as his eyes were rolling in back of his head. "Is
this another prankkkkkk?"
"Of course not, and don't worry about your mother! I'll handle my
daughter," said Nana, softly moving his neck. "Just close your eyes,
Allie, you have to rest and Nana will be with you every step of the
way."
Out again he went as it barely registered what she said, and then he was
wheeled from the room away from his grandmother.
She'd stay with him the entire night and then in the morning take her
car service to his house to talk to her daughter.
"Glad to see you're up early and ready to go," said Nana, sitting down
at the table.
"Yeah well it's time to go pick up my pain in the ass daughter, and be
up her ass again to get her shit together for school," said Holly,
pouring her mother some coffee.
"No need, I spoke to her officer and he allowed me to sign her out last
night," said Nana, pouring some cream in her coffee.
"Really, mom?" said Holly, rolling her eyes. "Interfering again already?
So she was with you last night instead of school?"
"No, handling a few things and yes," replied Nana, sipping her coffee.
"Just like I did for you and your sisters. Or again did you forget all
the crap I did for you?"
"How could I?" said Holly, sitting down and sipping her coffee. "You'd
never let me and then where is the little bitch? You're letting her
sleep in? and didn't bring her with you?"
"Yes, and she's sleeping comfortably," nodded Nana. "I told you I had to
handle a few things like I did for you and your sisters around this age,
so that's what I did."
"MOM?" yelled Holly, getting angry. "What now? What did you do?"
"What had to be done, Holly?" said Nana, looking her dead in the face.
"What you cried for so I let you have, and you know damn well she's at
that age where everyone else develop, except obviously in our flat
chested family."
"Mom, I had mine done at fifteen! Almost sixteen!" yelled Holly. "She's
not even fourteen until next year. Are you insane?"
"No, I'm a grandparent and you know as well as I do with all the pageant
catch up she'll be doing after you had the kid locked away, she'll need
them," yelled back Nana. "Girls are certainly way more advanced than
they were twenty years ago, and we would have been doing it sooner or
later, so with all she'll be doing sooner meaning now was the time! And
you know it, Holly!"
"I can't fucking believe you mom? You never stop?" said Holly, wiping
her forehead. "I damn well hope she learned something in those months at
that school, because the two of you are going to be the death of me! You
still don't get what a fucking handful she is mom, so I hope you haven't
created a monster!"
"You think two months and some boobs are going to change who she is?"
laughed Nana. "And trust me, you were just as much of a handful. You
were a monster in heels around the same age, so I love that you're
getting to deal with it just like I did with you."
"Thanks?" said Holly, sarcastically rolling her eyes. "And you better
not have made them too big?"
"They're tasteful and just a B like you got," said her mother. "And I
don't remember you complaining?"
"No," smiled Holly, looking down at herself. "Well at least that will
put an end to the pranks, as with her skinny frame those will not be
able to be hidden. So what time will she be waking up, since obviously
we better be there when she does?"
"Maybe two more hours," said Nana, sipping coffee. "And I hear my
grandson walking around up there, so call him down. You talk to him last
night at all about the future?"
"Not yet?" said Holly, walking over to the stairs. "Kyle, get down here.
Nana's here, so come say hi and then we need to go get your sister."
They talked a few more minutes and then downstairs came Allie in pink
pajamas and a big hoodie.
"Hey Nana," said Allie, hugging her grandmother and sitting down.
"You know you don't have to hide that hair or wear your sister's clothes
anymore?" said her mother, pouring her some juice. "But should we talk
about that now, because one of the few things your grandmother and I
agree on is that maybe what happened was something you've... well
enjoyed more than expected or maybe wanted to happen?"
"Uuumm so this is awkward and I don't disagree with either of you, even
though Kyle has denied it?" said Allie, pulling off the hoodie and
running her nails through her short hair. "But we kind of switched back
near the end of the night, so maybe ask him?"
"Do not fuck with me, Kyle," yelled his mother, getting really angry. "I
told you we were done with this shit."
"Mom, I'm not," said Allie, pulling off the hoodie and running her nails
through her short hair. "See?"
"I see nails and..." sighed her mother, covering her mouth as her jaw
dropped.
"And absolutely gross hairy legs that have made me want to vomit when
I've looked at them all summer, that will be gone by this morning?" said
Allie, backing up and rolling up his pants leg.
"Take your fucking pants off," yelled his mother, holding her chest.
"Show me right now! Right here and right this instant."
"Ok," sighed Allie, shivering and dropping her pants and panties.
Oh my gawwdd! You two idiots!" said her mother, holding her face and
staring at her daughter female parts. "Why? You couldn't wait until
morning?"
"Mom don't get mad about nothing! Was it really a big deal?" explained
Allie. "Truth be told I could have waited, but Kyle couldn't. You know
Tiffany's gone today for that private school, so he wasn't going to get
a chance to be with her, so he surprised me during the boring shit near
the end, making us change."
"You're kidding?" sighed her mother, ready to pull out her hair. "What
is it with this girl?"
"Seriously, mom?" Shrugged Allie. "Like you haven't figured out she's
the girl that everyone wants to be with or look like? So don't be mad at
him, as he had it all planed and I know he's been a better daughter than
I ever would have been."
"Oh my," said Nana, looking white as a ghost. "They were talking and
that's when I interrupted them. When I slipped him a mickey and took him
away so I could surprise him."
"Oh you're going to surprise him alright when he wakes up this morning,
realizing you slipped him quite more than a mickey!" said Holly, trying
to control her anger. "You happy now mother?! Look what you've done this
time!"
"All I wanted was to surprise my granddaughter," said Nana, holding her
chest. "You gave the kid a panic attack just badgering her about getting
her ears pierced, so you think she could handle surgery if you told her
about it."
"But it wasn't her, you blind old bat!" yelled Holly. "That's the
problem."
"Surgery?" freaked Allie. "What surgery? You thought it was me and I
needed surgery?"
"Honey, sit down and your brother is ok and so are you," said her
mother. "Thing is that we have a genetic flaw. A family issue that has
plagued me, Nana, all of my sisters and unfortunately you, but nothing a
little surgery doesn't correct so we've all had it."
"I don't understand? What flaw? What's wrong with me?" asked Allie in a
panick. "You saying I was supposed to have surgery today, but instead
Kyle did?"
"Health wise nothing is wrong with you," Her mother stated. "It's
just..."
"It's just what she is saying is that I was surprising my granddaughter
after being stuck in that gawwd awful man's uniform with the two things
she's been dying to blossom, but never really will," said Nana,
interrupting, a bit sick to her stomach. "I figured what better time
than with you starting anew like they bloomed over the summer before
school began again, and then you could finally fill out your pageant
dresses this fall."
"Huuhh," sighed Allie, covering her mouth before beginning to giggle.
"So Kyle got the boobs I was supposed to get?"
"Afraid so?" replied Nana, holding her forehead. "How are we going to
explain this when he wakes up?"
"We?" said Holly, tossing up her hands. "We are going to blame those
damn cataracts again, but enough is enough now mom! And enough is enough
with you and your brother too, Allie!"
"Jeez? How am I blamed for that?" thought Allie. "Those were supposed to
be mine, and as scared shitless as I would have been to get them, you
think I wanted him having those too? Wasn't it not enough for him to get
my nails, my hair, my boyfriend, my spotlight on stage and my wardrobe,
but now this?"
"Yeah and who's fault is all that?" said his mother. "You did go along
with the prank again! What the hell is wrong with you two?"
"Obviously more than I realize?" sighed Allie, looking down at her flat
chest. "But Nana, you sure this was a total surprise or could he have
pranked everyone this time to get them? Is it possible?"
"You think he knew and he wanted them?" asked her mother, confused. "You
think that was his way of telling us what...?"
"What we've already been thinking and was going to discuss with him
today?" thought Nana. "Oh my?"
"Really?" said Allie. "You were going to ask him? Like this morning,
directly?"
"Well I knew he was jealous of Tiffany in the tiara being popular and
revered, so thought just maybe this was who he might have wanted to be?"
Reasoned Nana. "When I gave him one and suggested the party was kind of
a test but I wasn't certain? So are you, Allie?"
"Like certain?" said Allie shaking her head and then shrugging her
shoulders. "Not really?"
"Some help you are?" said Holly with her hands on her face. "The only
think I'm certain of my son is going to wake up with big boobs so we
better stop speculating and get there."
"Yes the boobs will be quite the shock but he's been your daughter all
summer and those implants aren't just popping out," thought Nana. "Let's
try to think rationally about how to deal with this since we still have
time before he wakes up."
"Rationally? Maybe you should have though rationally before you put
boobs on your grandson?" yelled Holly as out the front door they went.
"Since when do you think of anything rationally mother?"
"Oh come on mom all she does is think about her family and you got them
too so when you were a teenager so maybe think about me for a change,"
giggled Allie trying to diffuse their fight as they got in the car.
"Those were supposed to me mine and so the consolation prize is maybe I
am finally getting a sister at least for a little while?"
"You think that's funny?" said her mother not amused as she backed out
of the driveway. "Do not test me here Allison and who the hell knows? I
mean how could he not wake up and freak out and I'm not so sure about
him being happy about spending time as your sister as let me remind you
that you just said he changed so he could be with Tiffany?"
"Yeah?" grumbled Allie scratching her head. "But she's so hot even I was
confused so I'm not so sure that tells us much?"
"Well whatever he wants is what I want for him and drive faster dear,"
said Nana tapping her daughter as she drove. "So even if he does tell us
that all he wants is to be a boy again there probably will need to be a
healing period before they can come out so that's not happening for
quite some time?"
"Meaning he will have a little time to think and for us to discuss this
quite a bit," nodded Holly as she sped. "I don't like it and neither
will his father but ok I guess?"
"And if he doesn't?" interjected Allie from the back seat. "If he wakes
up and is really happy about it then what?"
"Then I'm prepared to continue with the process," said Nana taking a
breath. "I was planning on having him meet with some medical people
there after we visited Allie to understand what was involved in case
this was who he wanted to be or at least to understand it."
"You were not mother?" yelled Holly stopping short at a light turning
towards her mother. "That is beyond over stepping any boundaries."
"And why is that?" yelled Nana back at her. "He needs to be informed! To
know what's involved?"
"You mean like really be a girl?" questioned Allie ignoring their
banter. "Like informed about what's involved to get a snip-a-roo down
there?"
"That would be way off in the future if he wanted that," said Nana
looking back at Allie. "I've learned it's much more involved then that."
"You have to stop mom," said Holly furious speeding into the parking
lot. "You have to and let's get up there!"
"No you have to face reality Holly and you're the one that left him like
this all summer," said Nana walking with her as they entered the
hospital. "This might be who she should be."
"Oh gawwddd," gulped Holly tearing up as she pushed the elevator button.
"I know but I'm not sure I can."
"Oh come on mom! Even he knew I always wanted a sister!" squealed Allie
as they got in together. "And if they can't come out that fast then
she's going to have to have that sweet sixteen! You should have seen the
look on her face seeing the tiara and she already has it. So you'll have
to let her have it, be the belle of the ball and maybe that'll help! You
know decide?"
"You mean him?" sighed their mother as the elevator rose. "And he
already looks stunning in gown but how the hell would I explain that to
family? Do I just say come to Kyle's sweet sixteen and then there she
is?"
"Well maybe but who cares what anyone thinks we're a family so we'll
figure it out," nodded Allie nudging her mother as the door opened. "The
important thing is I'll be in her dias! Help with her candles. Help pick
the dress! Maybe I'll even be her maid of honor someday?"
"Which pray for me that I'll live to see," said Nana rubbing her arm and
whispering in her ear as they exited the elevator. "So yes honey and
like you've always wanted but you're bitch of a mother would never give
you."
"Glad you'll live to see if because I think I might not," said Holly
holding her chest as they walked and then smiling before glancing back
at them. "And I heard that!"
"And today I don't even care if she's one!" smiled Allie nudging her
mother then cuddling against her as they walked into Kyle's room. "I'm
too excited! Oh my gawddd! It's like a dream that I might actually get a
sister! Imagine if he actually wants to be her and wow! Those look
pretty big!"
"No kidding and if he doesn't?" said his mother looking at him passed
out asleep then softly stroking his forehead focused on his mounds. "Oh
gawdd those look bigger than a B and look at him sound asleep! He's
about to wake up with big boobs and the pranks not on any of us this
time?"
"Yeah and not that I still don't want them but...?" smirked Allie before
having to giggle and the tapping her grandmother. "And it wasn't me this
time but nana...."
"Prank... oh gawddd," sighed Kyle cracking open his eyes. "So sorry
about that nana and don't be mad mom but.."
"But you're ok honey," said his nana touching his face looking down on
him. "We're here and rest you need you're strength and then we'll talk."
"Ok but I heard you say prank and about last night'?" sighed Kyle
struggling to open his eyes. "There was something I did that I shouldn't
have but since then our pranks are over I promise! Aren't they sis?"
"Are they?" smiled Allie winking at him. "Because if so I'm good with
where we've stopped now sis so... You tell me pageant girl?"
"Definitely! Ouuchhh?" cringed Kyle trying to move and feeling some pain
as he looked down. "Wait? No funny Allie and what the..?"
"Wasn't me this time," smiled Allie shrugging her shoulders and looking
over at Nana. "But maybe last night's prank back fired or maybe it
didn't?"
"Was me this time dear and you need some rest first before we really
discuss this but..!" said Nana taking his hand. "Maybe I did something I
shouldn't have or maybe I didn't?"
"Oh gawwddd!" freaked Kyle looking around then bending down his chin.
"Please tell me I'm not where I think I am and those aren't what they
look like they are?"
"Please honey! I wanted you to rest first and if you must know those
were supposed to be for Allie," said Nana seeing him stare at the mounds
under his hospital gown. "But then you switched pranking us again and
well?"
"So yeah she is saying you are!" interjected his mother rolling her
eyes. "You're in recovery and you're fine but like your grandmother
always does she's gone too far! So yeah....they are?"
"Holy shit!" shivered Kyle staring down at his chest as his eyes bugged.
"Then I have boobs! Boobs like a real girl!"
"Like I don't take offense to that but yeah! Pretty damn big boobs now
busty girl so Tiffany will have nothing over you now and not that we
didn't pull off such an awesome prank but I guess we'll learn from the
best sis," teased Allie coming over and pulling down the gown just a
touch looking. "Obliviously Nana's the champ.... Best prank Eveeaaaaa."
