Chapter 26 -- The Booster Day Crew Plays Hooky for a Day
Booster Day was scheduled for the following Friday -- so that library
personnel could set up and staff the booths on company time, and in hopes
attendance would increase because the event didn't interfere with weekend
plans -- and Janie, Jimmie, and Randall had everything ready for their
venture by Monday of that week. Jimmie and Randall had fully populated
the database with the donations, assigned prices or "suggested donations"
to each item, and arranged them for sale. Both boys had dropped any
pretense of ignorance about or disinterest in female lingerie.
On Monday, at a point when Jimmie happened to be unavailable, Yvette
showed up with some leotards that were declared excess at the shops, and
Janie asked her to work with Randall to add them to inventory and price
them.
As they worked, Yvette told Randall about the hairdresser that she and
Jimmie went to and suggested -- "but only if Janie agrees" -- that he use
her too. "You could go with us, and Blake may suggest a cut, or maybe
just shampoo you and offer styling suggestions for your beautiful long
hair. Have you ever considered using a claw clip like the one I'm wearing
today? With your hair up off your neck, you'd really make a statement
about your slenderness, especially your narrow shoulders and prominent
clavicles." Randall was wearing a dark pink peasant-stye blouse meant for
a young girl, in the "shutter sleeve top" format that fully exposed his
clavicles and most of his shoulders. As he raised his arms, Yvette could
also see he shaved his armpits.
"Here, let's see how you look with your hair up," Yvette prompted, "I
have a spare clip with me." And with a conspiratorial grin aimed at
Janie, Yvette skillfully removed Randall's scrunchy from his high
ponytail, twisted his locks into shape, and applied the claw clip. In a
moment, it was done, and Randall did look dramatically more put together.
He sheepishly grinned, hoping he looked good but unable to see to tell.
"Oh Randy, that's your look for sure," Janie exclaimed. "You know, that's
a look we should all adopt for the Booster Day event. The shutter-sleeve
tops and our hair up. Yvette, do you think you could work with Jimmie to
mimic Randy's look?"
"Yes, for sure. And I know that style of shutter-sleeve come from the
Gap, so I can get the tops by Thursday if you send me your sizes -- you
three plus the other women staffing the booth." Another conspiratorial
smile passed between at the use of "the other women".
"One more thing Janie. I set aside two leotards in robin's egg blue that
may be Randy' size. Do you want to see if they fit him? They would do
fine for exercise at home, if you are into that sort of thing."
"That's so thoughtful of you Yvette, thinking of what my Randy might look
good in. I'd love them," she finished. And on this development too,
Randall had no input whatsoever.
Later on, when Jimmie joined them, Janie hit them both with a bold
proposal. Because they had everything set and a slack period until
Friday, why didn't the three of them go to Disneyland for a day, in
costume? Wouldn't that be fun?
It was an inspired idea, and both boys agreed immediately. Janie
explained that she had a still-valid pass for the employee entrance
because she had worked briefly as a "Costumed Member" who actually
worked, not at the theme park, but rather on the streets of LA pitching
Disneyland and handing out discounted entrance tickets. She had several
costumes they could wear. It was a no-brainer.
Well...the three costumes she had worn were Snow White, Tinker Bell, and
Pocahontas. But that was really no problem, guys, because they were
effectively "disguises". With a bit of lipstick and blush, nobody would
know or even question whether they were girls for the day, right? And she
assured the boys that the costumes were all freshly dry-cleaned and she
just knew they would fit. Hmmm... might she have set this up in advance?
First, Janie decided that Jimmie should be Tinker Bell, "because he was
so graceful". Jimmie had a sharp memory of when the boy Charlotte had
visited the library dressed as a fairy princess, and how magical he had
looked in the tight, too small pink leotard, the small bulge of penis and
testicles so evident at the groin. Yet no one had questioned this boy so
evidently cross-dressed by his mother.
Deep down, Jimmie wanted the same experience, so he agreed. The three
went to Janie and Randall's apartment to try on the outfits. To spare
Jimmie acute embarrassment, Janie suggested he strip down in private and
wear a pair of her hip-hugger panties "just for the fitting" because the
leotard leg openings were so high. Jimmie didn't want to explain why he
was wearing a worn pair of Ms. Butler's panties that she had told him in
no uncertain terms he was to inherit because of the menstrual stains in
the gusset, so he agreed, and changed (alone, in the apartment bathroom)
from one library supervisor's underpants into his other library
supervisor's hip-huggers.
The Tinker Bell costume fit well, although Jimmie was still surprised
that the leg holes extended high on the hips, to almost the waist, just
like Janie had warned. Janie explained that the intentional bodily
exposure was calculated to appeal to fathers and make a trip to
Disneyland potentially "big time fun". The result in Jimmie's case was
that his genitals, small as they were, poked out a bit. When Janie
suggested he wear a gaff to minimize the bulge, Jimmie declined, only
then registering that it was this aspect of Charlotte's fairy costume
that appealed to him most. What was it, wanting to adopt girlish outfits
and yet, at the same time, wanting this aspect of his maleness on
display?
A set of gossamer wings and a blond wig completed the outfit, with Jimmie
turning down pink pantyhose in favor or displaying his smooth, slender
legs, virtually up to his waist, and bare. The idea of appearing in
public like this excited him tremendously.
Next, Randall as Snow White. The costume was a full-skirted "formal prom
dress" in light blue taffetawith a fitted bodice with featured broad
shoulder straps that left his arms bare, as well as most of his shoulders
and clavicles.
Janice decided that Randall should stick with his own hairdo, straight to
his shoulders but with a bright red velveteen hairband about an inch
wide, with a discreet bow at the center. She considered but rejected
suggesting a necklace, wanting Randall to come across as a really young
girl.
"Randy," Jimmie piped up tentatively, "may I say something?"
"Sure Jimmie.of course. What is it?" Randall replied, curious to know
what Jimmie was hesitant to raise.
"Please hear me out Randy. You know we're just pretending to be girls in
our disguises for the day at Disneyland, but we might get questioned if
we're not convincing. Your Snow White disguise is just wonderful; you
look lovely, but there's a problem. I don't want it to spoil our trip
tomorrow." He stopped at that point.
"Jimmie, just tell me what's bugging you -- we'll fix it." Randall
responded, just a bit annoyed. Janie was was struggling too, to not snap
at Jimmie. What "problem" existed in her carefully hatched plan.
"Randy, you just don't fill out the bodice of your gown. My outfit is
flat in front but that's fine, because Tinker Bell is a fairy sprite. You
need some boobs, that's all.
"I know a good solution; we have a strapless bra in the donations that's
a sure fit for you -- you're a 32 I know --but it seems scary to ever wear
female underclothing. I just think you need to this once because we're
adopting disguises." Jimmie had spit out his concern and was done.
Silence prevailed for a few moments. Janie knew she should not weigh in
until Randall could react, although she exulted at how this had come
about. She marveled that she had not even anticipated this development,
and she once again credited Jimmie for his mental acuity.
Then, Randall responded. "Gosh Jimmie, you're right on both counts -- I'm
afraid of taking this step, but I do think our trip tomorrow could be
spoiled if I'm not a convincing Snow White? Janie, what do you think?"
Janie was circumspect as she offered "Truthfully Randy, I think Jimmie is
right about you wearing a bra tomorrow to complete your disguise, but
it's totally up to you. Just think, Jimmie agreed to wear my hip hugger
panties today, just to make his disguise work. You would just be doing
the same sort of thing, for just a day in public." Hah, she had landed
that last point just to bring home the enormity of the step Randall would
be taking. She hoped she hadn't gone too far.
She hadn't. Without a word more, Randall nodded, and all three smiled at
each other. Janie went to the refrigerator and brought them each a beer.
Delicious. In this relaxed mood, Janie took just one more step.
"Jimmie, do you happen to remember the cup size for the bra Randy will be
disguised in tomorrow? Is is an A or a B? Snow White should not come
across as busty, and just take a look at Randy bodice -- it can't
accommodate more than a B cup size without straining."
"Gee, it's a C cup if memory serves," Jimmie replied, "probably not
suitable for Randy now that I think about it. Perhaps we can simply cut
the straps off a better candidate."
Jamie pounced. "I have it...I mean literally. For running, I wear a
bandau-style bra made by Reebok for exercise -- actually it's for girls
and called a 'bralette' because it's seamless and unstructured and nude
in color so it barely shows. It comes with removable pads that I don't
use but Randy can. They will nicely fill out the bodice of his gown." She
crossed her fingers, knowing that Randall drew the line at wearing her
things.
Before Randall could react, Jimmie said, "That's prefect. Roommates share
outfits all the time. Let's try it now to see if it works."
Randall had a deep-seated aversion to sharing clothes of any description
with "family members", which included his apartment mate in his mind,
because of his early years when many of his older siblings clothes came
to him as hand-me-downs, and his siblings were girls. But, he deeply
desired to wear the gown -- a prom dress for sure -- tomorrow at
Disneyland, showing off in public with Jamie and Janie.
So, he agreed. He dropped the shoulder straps off his shoulders, baring
his torso, and Janie slipped her bralette over Randall's upraised arms
and down to his chest. She slipped in the removable pads. Randall slipped
the shoulder straps back onto his shoulders. He looked great, and he
smiled happily. Tomorrow would be a great day.
