Synopsis:
Chapter 10 of the FMNaNoWriMo challenge novel "Doc's Complex," in which
our group of now-buxom explorers figure out each other's names and how to
tell each other apart now that they all are or look like buxom women and
most have shoulder-length blond hair.
Categories and key words describe only this chapter. I'm concentrating on
writing now, so I won't edit mistakes or respond to any reviews until
December.

Chapter 10 - Who's Who
Shortly after Keela and Alice went off by themselves, Caloryn, one of the
several buxom blond men with straight, shoulder-length hair, said, "Okay,
everyone, could we please stop? Could you all gather here in a circle?
There's some sort of park ahead, and if we get separated I don't know if
we'll ever all get back together. I'm going crazy because I can't tell
you all apart!"
"Oh, thank God! I thought it was just me!"
"Yeah, me too."
Charlettia said, "We Doc's Girls don't have a problem. It's just you
males because you don't talk with Doc." She gestured to her right, and
Caloryn noticed that all seven of the people who were comfortable in
seven-inch heels were standing in his part of the circle.
Before he'd gone off with Keela, Alice had mentioned he thought everyone
wearing shoes with the tallest heels were the men. "Also, except for our
two curly-headed Jewish friends who both look like they chose breasts
like Murray's mother, all you guys chose to have shoulder-length blond
hair, and the smallest tits they would allow!" Recalling that
observation, Cal looked down at his C-cup breasts and at the similar
sized boobs of the blonds to his right and left. "Yes," he thought, she's
probably right that 'you males' are all on this side of the circle.
"Oh yeah, smarty-pants?" said the straight haired blond with C-cup boobs
to his right, "Prove it! Let's see you point at everyone in this circle
and say everyone's name."
Caloryn added, "While you're at it, let's see if you can say what our
names were this morning, before we came here." He didn't believe she
could not do what she said. He just wanted to know if his guess about who
were the men was correct.
"Very well. "I'm Charlettia, and," she pointed at everyone in the circle
going around clockwise, "this is my near twin, Charletta, Lilyan, Seecie,
Noel Leeson, Pansy Pond, Berrry spelled with 3 Rs, who used to be Chuck,
and his near twin Mins, who was Buck, Caloryn who was Calvin, Wren, who
did not change his name, Ivria, who was Irving, Murrie who only changed
his final Y to an IE, Barbie Doll, who was Benjamin, and the nameless one
who escaped from Tom."
The men stared at her, several with their mouths open, until Caloryn
clapped his hands and said, "Someday I want to learn how you did that.
For now, can each of you tell us your name and how you came to choose it,
or some other way to remember it, and find something unique about
yourself? We need to figure out a way to tell ourselves apart! I'll
start. I'm Caloryn, which is Carolyn with the letters mixed up. I tried
other variations on Cal, but all of them were already taken. I apologize
for choosing the 'California Girl' look, but I think I'm the only blond
with dark brown eyes."
"My name is and was Wren. It's an ambisexual name. I know, because half
the time my junk mail back home was stuff for girls. The only other one
here with waist-length blond hair like mine is Pansy Pond over there, and
her tits are bigger."
"My name is Ivria, formerly Irv. I thought that if I get out of here
without changing back, my mother would kill herself if she found out her
daughter had a gentile name. I'm the only one here with hair like this."
Several of them nodded, seeing his tiny curls of blond hair cascading
halfway down his back.
So it went around the circle until the blond on Caloryn's right finally
spoke: "My middle name was Buckminster, and everyone called me Buck, so I
chose the second 4 letters, 'Mins' for a girl's name, and it was
available. I came out as a twin of my older brother, Chuck Berrry, and my
eyes are a hazel green, which could be confused for Chuck's brown eyes in
the right light, so I'm putting my hair up in pigtails, like this." He
unlaced the ribbons tying the front of his blouse, gathered all the hair
on his right side and tied it up with one ribbon, then did the same on
the other side. It made him look at least three years younger, like a
fifteen-year-old girl.
Charletta gestured at the open front of Mins' blouse. "Be careful there.
When we want some sex and don't care with whom, we walk around with our
breasts uncovered, and if someone wants to accept the offer, she puts
both hands on our breasts and waits until we expose her breasts and put
our hands on hers. Then we find an unoccupied bedroom and use it until we
are both satisfied."
Mins stared at her for four seconds, then smiled and pulled his blouse
open all the way, and started releasing the back of his bra.
"Before you do that, Mins," Charletta had a grim smile, "you might
consider that ninety-nine percent of the women here agree with Doc that
everyone in the world should be a beautiful, intelligent, sexy, buxom
WOMAN, and would gladly ask Doc to have a robot take you away if they
discover what you have between your legs."
He lost his smile and quickly pulled his blouse closed, looking around at
who might have seen him.
She looked around at the others. "In case anyone else has forgotten, our
eight--" she looked around, noticed that Alice was no longer part of the
group, and corrected, "seven boys can stay outside in public, only so
long as they look and act like real Girls. We can explore, we can play
with each other, and we will still have to do our jobs, but keep in mind
that any of Doc's Girls who doesn't believe as we do may turn them in
within seconds if she finds out they are not really girls."
A more somber group continued on its way.
Knowing who was who changed the dynamic of the group, and Caloryn noticed
that the men who had always been girl-chasers were soon walking next to
girls, while the other men were walking in pairs. He walked with
Charlettia, figuring that the most intelligent guy should pair up with
the smartest girl in the group. They were all beautiful, but he liked the
way she spoke up and took charge. Her apparent twin, Charletta, also
spoke up, but there was a difference. Charlettia was a leader, but
Charletta was just bossy. Besides, he liked the sound of Charlettia's
voice. And her face. And her body. And the way she moved.
He walked on, listing more things he liked about Charlettia in his mind
when it suddenly struck him that he had fallen for her. Walking next to
her, it seemed only natural to take her hand, and he did so, watching her
to see how she would react. She looked over at him and smiled, and did
not pull her hand away.
While he considered what to do next, the fluffy dark head of Murray, who
was talking with Ivria, turned and called, "Hey, J.J., look up!"
To Caloryn's left, Lilyan, the woman with waist-length blond hair walking
with Berrry, stopped and looked up, and then looked at Ivria. A confused
look came into her eyes, and then a look of anger. She clasped Berrry's
arm possessively, as if Ivria's yell had been an attempt to take her new
boyfriend away, and she and he moved off, down a separate path.
Murrie smiled and said something to Ivria, but Caloryn knew that Ivria
had not been paying attention.
When all the attention had been drawn to Lilyan, he'd seen Ivria bend
down and seem to be looking at a flower by the side of the path or
something. It was hard to see what he was examining because of the way
his long blond hair hung down all around his head and chest. When Ivria
stood up, he had a very satisfied smile on his face, and it was the kind
of smile you had after a much more intense experience than merely
sniffing a flower!
Caloryn noticed Ivria's odd actions particularly because he had noticed
Wren doing almost the exact same thing a few minutes earlier. "Are they
doing some kind of drug, without sharing it?"
"What do y'think that was about?" Charlettia asked Caloryn. He looked at
her and saw that her attention was still on the departing Lilyan and
Berrry. Caloryn suspected, but shrugged his shoulders, not wanting to
perjure himself aloud.
The mystery of what had happened to the eight missing men of their mining
expedition, had just become a little less of a mystery. If one of those
Changing Machine tables could change Tom into his own golden-haired
fantasy girl in less than fifteen minutes, what could happen to eight men
left on them for hours?
He had suspected that the eight missing men had been Changed into the
eight beautiful, buxom women they had found on the tables when they had
first entered the Changing Room, but here was the first indication that
his suspicion had some basis in fact.
His silent musings about the wonderful things he liked about Charlettia
now changed to silent musings about who was really who. If J.J. was
Lilyan, then who were the other women? Which of his friends had been
Changed into this beautiful woman whose hand he held, for instance? There
were seven more to figure out, and only six women were here. Keela had
gone somewhere with Alice, who must have been Al, the only man not
accounted for. "Al was now Alice," he thought. "That's as easy to
remember as Wren being Wren, and Murray being Murrie."
He and Charlettia walked more slowly and let the others get ahead of
them. "I suppose I should be helping Murrie try to figure out which of
these women used to be which of our friends." He looked over at
Charlettia's pretty face, and she smiled back at him. He glanced down at
her cleavage between breasts almost twice the size of the ones on his own
chest and sighed at his luck in finding a woman like this. When his eyes
returned to hers, he saw her pointedly look down at his chest, sigh, and
look back up at his face, and she let go of his hand.
"Sorry! You caught me admiring your perfection," he said, blushing.
"That might be just about the only thing y'could have said that wasn't
wrong," she said.
"There's a lot more than just your breasts that I think is perfect," he
said. "I was just listing them in my head as we walked."
"Really? What else?"
He told her, and halfway through the list she was holding his hand again.
He and she flirted as they strolled, but out of the corner he noticed
Murrie change his direction, moving sideways as he walked, until he
walked behind the former Tom, who still had no name in spite of all the
suggestions everyone had made, Seecie, and Noel Leeson. Murrie said
something, and Seecie turned around, smiling.
Then, she did exactly what Lilyan had done after being tricked into
revealing that some part of her still responded to the name "J.J.,"
except that she slapped Murrie's face. "How dare you!"
Murrie had been walking with Ivria and Wren, and now Caloryn noticed
those two behaving oddly. At first separating to secretly partake of
whatever drug they were using, now they seemed to be sharing it. They had
their arms around each other's shoulders, their blond, curly hair mostly
pulled forward to cover their chests, and they seemed to take turns
giggling and staggering. Sometimes, one of them leaned his head back with
his eyes closed, the same thing Caloryn had often held his head after
taking a long toke off a joint, so he could hold it in his lungs as long
as possible to get the best effect from the smoke.
These two, however, did not seem to be doing pot. There was no smoke, no
coughing, no heavy exhalations. It made no sense.
Charlettia noticed where more and more of his attention was centered, and
commented, "They're an odd pair, aren't they? Were they homosexual before
they came here?"
"Homos? No, of course not! None of us are, and they aren't now!"
"No? Then what do you call two people of the same sex who take turns
giving each other orgasms?"
"What! No! No, it can't be. Is that what they're doing?"
"Look at Ivria's left hand. See? He's using the cover of his hair to
reach over and play with Wren's breasts and nipples. They must be very
sensitive, because look how fast Wren is responding. He's getting higher
and higher, and there! Climax already! If that isn't one of Doc's
experiments, I don't know what is!"
"Experiments? What do you mean?"
"Doc Is always experimenting with us to test some theory or another. Look
at Ivria. He's already almost there. Did you get off that quickly? Are
your breasts that sensitive?" She looked around, studying each of the
other men in turn. "There! Barbie Doll! Of course it would be someone who
chose the name 'Barbie Doll.' Doc loves her form, even though she's so
flat-chested."
"Flat chested!" Caloryn exclaimed. "Are we talking about the same Barbie
dolls?"
"There's only one. He got almost all of her measurements accurate, except
her chest. If she was his height, she'd wear a 34B bra, and he looks like
a 34C." She watched and pointed at him, "There's another climax. Pansy
Pond must be teasing his breasts almost constantly somehow. Do you see
how she's doing it? I don't, and asking Doc is cheating."
They watched, and Caloryn caught it first. "She's holding the ends of the
scarf he has wrapped around his shoulders, and she's using it to jiggle
his breasts. That's why they are staying so far in front of everyone, so
we can't see his boobs moving."
She watched the two for a while, and said, "Yes, you're right. She put
her arm around his shoulders when that woman passed them and then took up
the end of the scarf again after she went by. Good observation. Now who
is the fourth one?"
"Why do you think there's a fourth?"
"Experiment. Half with the thing you are testing, half without. There are
eight of you, so there must be four with normal breasts and four with the
hypersensitive ones."
Caloryn noticed Murrie drifting back to be with them. "Hi, Murrie," he
said, curious what his friend would say to provoke a response from
Charlettia. His curiosity did not have to wait long.
"Hi, Caloryn!" He looked at Charlettia, and said, "And Danny, how do you
like being a blond?"
Charlettia laughed, "It's better than being a redhead! Blonds have more
fff..." she trailed off as she realized she did remember being their red-
headed friend. Unlike the other reactions that Carolyn had seen,
Charlettia put both hands to her head and stopped walking. "Oh, God!
Danny! I can't. I don't want to be him."
Her legs collapsed under her, and both of the men caught her and helped
her to a nearby bench. She bent over and tucked her head between her
knees. "No, Doc," she said to her feet. "Let me work this out by myself.
I'll tell you if I need you."
She stayed in that position for a few minutes, and when she raised her
head and looked up, all the others had come back, including Lilyan and
Berry.
"I'm alright," she told them. "Murrie just made me look at what I've been
hiding from myself. I stole this body from a man named Danny." She looked
at Lilyan. "Is that why you stalked off in anger, Lilyan? So you would
not have to face what you did to J.J.?"
Lilyan paled and her mouth twisted oddly, but she nodded.
"Who else did you figure out, Murrie?"
"All of you, I think. Your old selves are all there in little ways. Noel
Leeson does that same head shake that Bud always did when he wanted to
get his long hair off his neck. Pansy Pond hasn't lost Gill's way of
looking out of the corner of his eyes when he didn't want you to think he
was giving you his full attention, but still wanted to listen to what you
were saying. Billy and Charletta both seem to think that their way is the
only way when telling you how to do something. Daniece finds a way to
make anything into a joke that only she thinks is funny, just like Lupe
Lopez. Seecie had me stumped until I noticed that she looks exactly like
that girl who dumped Marco. That meant that Charlettia was either Will or
Danny. I was going to test you for being Will, when I remembered how much
he loved big tits - remember that wall in his bedroom? - and that Keela
not only had the biggest tits of any of the women, but she was also the
one who set up the Changing Machine that made Al into the most buxom guy
in the room. So I asked Charlettia how she liked being blond, and she
said it was better than being a redhead, which meant she remembered at
least that part of being Danny."
"Wow, Murrie! I never would have suspected that you were that good at
deduction," Caloryn said.
"That's just it. I wasn't before I lay on that table in the Changing
Room. I think it made me smarter!"
"That's what they keep saying, isn't it: Brainy, busty, beautiful,
bodacious babes?"
Charlettia looked up miserably from where she was sitting. "But it still
doesn't solve the problem of who I am now. I know that I'm me,
Charlettia, a 60-year-old native of Doc's Complex, a psychologist who
helped dozens of patients through all sorts of troubles, and with old
friends I can remember doing things with since before any of you kids
were born, and yet at the same time, I know that yesterday I was a 22-
year-old college graduate with a fianc? who was looking forward to moving
to New Jersey with me to start my new job as a chemist for Esso Oil. I
like who I am, and I know that Danny liked who he was. What do I do now?"
She looked up, "Doc? Talk to us. I know that if you can talk to me, you
can talk to all of us."
"YOU ARE CORRECT. YOU ARE ALL PART OF AN EXPERIMENT."
Charlettia shared a glance with Caloryn, and they both smiled.
"YOU WILL RETAIN YOUR CURRENT SEXES AND PERSONALITIES FOR FOURTEEN DAYS
STARTING FROM 4:00 THIS MORNING WHEN MY ROBOTS BROUGHT THE FIRST OF YOU
TO THE CHANGING ROOM YOU JUST LEFT. AFTER THE END OF FOURTEEN DAYS YOU
WILL EACH BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE WHETHER TO STAY IN THE
COMPLEX OR TO RETURN TO THE REAL WORLD. IF YOU CHOOSE THE REAL WORLD, YOU
WILL BE CHANGED BACK TO WHO YOU WERE WITH ONLY A MEMORY OF A MINE CAVE-IN
AND THE TIME YOU SPENT DIGGING YOURSEVES FREE. IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY, YOU
WILL HAVE A CHOICE ABOUT WHAT PORTION OF YOUR FORMER LIVES YOU CHOOSE TO
REMEMBER. FOR EACH PERSON WHO STAYS, A NON-LIVING DUPLICATE OF YOUR OLD
BODY WILL BE LEFT IN A COLLAPSED PORTION OF THE MINE FOR THE ONES WHO
RETURN TO TAKE BACK WITH THEM, WITH APPROPRIATE MEMORIES OF A SECOND
CAVE-IN TO EXPLAIN YOUR DEATHS."
"Thank you, Doc," Charlettia said. She smiled at Caloryn. "If you don't
thank him, he'll go on talking forever." She spread her smile to the
others as she looked around, "Well, you heard him. If you have any more
questions, just say 'Doc' as if you expect him to answer, and then say or
even think about what you want to know." She smiled at Caloryn, "He's
even better than a slide rule. Just ask and the answer's right there!"
Everyone still milled about, not sure what to do next.
Charlettia frowned at them. "I'm sixty years old. Aren't any of you big
strong men going to help an old woman up? I want to go home, and see if
sex as a woman is really as much fun as the memories that Changing
Machine put in my head tell me it is!"
Caloryn and Murrie both bent to help her up, not that she really needed
it. They all looked like eighteen-year-old girls, and were as healthy and
fit as top athletes.
Murrie went back to join Wren and Ivria, and the nameless one who had
been Tom joined them, recreating the foursome who always grouped
together.
Charlettia and Caloryn now walked arm in arm. "I know you know I used to
be Danny," she told him earnestly, "but for the next two weeks, just let
me be Charlettia. Can you do that?"
"Well, let me tell you how much of Danny I see in you. Nothing. Now let
me tell you how much of Charlettia I see in you. You have the sweet-
smelling soft hair of Charlettia that I like to run my fingers through.
You have the cute ears of Charlettia that I like talking to, and can't
wait to nibble on when we have more privacy. You have the wonderfully
smooth skin of Charlettia that I like to touch, and again which I fully
intend to explore every inch of in every way that we can think of that
will give you pleasure."
"I'm glad you said 'we.' Go on," she purred.
He went on for quite a long time, and then they chatted about flowers,
the beauty of the park they were strolling through, and even knowing who
she had been, he was happy to hold the hand of the most beautiful, the
sexiest, the most intelligent woman he had ever met as they took their
time to stroll toward her home in Doc's Complex.

Some of the names are homages to stories, authors, and jokes I like:
Pansy Pond is an erotic story by Timothy Reisling Betticut, an author who
stopped writing sometime during the 1990s, at least under that name. The
concept of the afterlife in the story "Noel" by Christopher Leeson is
worthy of attention and serious discussion in the wider world outside TG
fiction. One name is from a joke where a new mom's dim brother named her
twin babies. "Daniece" seemed like a good name for the girl, but her twin
brother was named "Danephew!"

I'm writing this novel as part of the 2012 NaNoWriMo challenge to write a
novel of at least 50,000 words between November 1st and 30th. I intend to
