"Ahahaha, take that! Not so loud anymore when you can't even get a
proper hit in, huh? This'll be your end, Rider Raichi! Attack, my lovely
minions! Get him down to the ground where he belongs!"
Raichi Ikeda, known as the hero Rider Raichi to the world at large, was
in a pinch - one that even his trusty, power-enhancing suit of armor
didn't seem to be able to get him out of. His assessment of the opponent
was too naive - he way underestimated what the slime girl in front of
him, the Gooey Goddess, was actually capable of. What he prepared for
was a simple, clean 1 vs 1 fight - little did he know that she was
capable of coating civilians with her slime, forcing them to fight
against their will. That troublesome, accursed slime! Every time he
thought he got a good hit in, it simply gave way, and he didn't get
anything resembling any sort of impact. And if it wasn't for those
assets of hers distracting him...
"Buddy, do you have something figured out? This looks really, really
bad!"
It was a whisper, faint enough that nobody outside of his suit of armor
could hear it - but that was all he needed to get the message across,
courtesy of a communication device his partner built into it.
"Stall her for another minute, I almost have it! It's a bit of a gamble,
and there might be some slight collateral damage, but trust me on this!
Make sure not to be fully coated in that goo, no matter what happens!
Keep your distance and jump somewhere high, if needed!"
With a silent, almost unperceivable nod, the hero took a defensive
stance - if it was a minute, he most certainly could do it! They just
had to wait, after that minute it would be no mercy - that girl would be
going down, no ifs or buts about it!
On the other end of the communication, there was a young man, typing
away furiously in front of his computer. His old friend Raichi was
counting on him, and he had to back up his claim of one minute being
enough! With an intense amount of focus, he scrolled over the lines of
code in front of him, all while keeping an eye out on the video feed
being transmitted from his friend, ready to respond to any new
developments, just in case. However, his worries remained unfounded -
like the skilled fighter he was, Raichi was easily capable of evading
each and every attack of the busty slime girl. With ten seconds to
spare, he added a new line of code and transmitted it - now everything
just had to work out as planned!
"Raichi, switch over to Heat Mode!"
"But won't that burn down the entire neighborhood, buddy? Last time it
took them hours to get the fire under control!"
"I've added some restraints to it! It won't be able to get everything
under control, but any fire splashing to the side should be much smaller
than before! Get as close as you can, your flames should be able to dry
out any slime that comes close to it. Show her hell for that stunt!"
Underneath his helmet, Raichi was smiling - so Naoya was finally getting
into the right mindset for this job as well! Perhaps he was about to
awaken to his very own heroic spirit! With that kind of reassurance
behind him, was there any way he could still lose? Not at all - he had
the most trustworthy ally in the entire world, after all!
"Villain! Prepare to pay for what you have done to these innocent
civilians! If you have any intention of surrendering, do it now - or
else, within seconds, you will regret it!"
With a dramatic pointer finger, he tried one last time to resolve this
situation through diplomacy - though of course, he knew from the very
beginning that this would be pointless. He had it drilled into him by
Naoya since the very beginning of their teamwork - if possible, try to
resolve things without fighting first. However, all the slime girl
responded with was a haughty laugh, as if she considered his words to be
a bluff - very well, eradication it was, then. Striking a pose, he
started up his mode change sequence.
"Villain, your reign of evil ends here! With the burning passion that
lights my heart aflame, and with this unbreakable spirit of justice
filling my body, you shall go down! Rider Raichi, Heat Mode, suit up!
Burn to cinders!"
Within an instant, a bright flash of light emitted from his green suit
of armor, only for it to change colors to a fierce, vivid red once the
flash wore off. Already, his fists carried raging flames, burning with a
fierceness unmatched by anything a regular person ever came into contact
with. His friend, however, was right - while the flame itself raged as
furiously as ever, it felt far more contained, far less likely to spread
to the nearby surroundings and cause chaos - this plan could very well
work!
"Fool! You intend to burn the entire city down? Be my guest, try it -
but then who is actually the villain between the two of us?"
So she hadn't realized it yet. She wasn't aware just how much his
mastery over the flame had changed with this one simple program. That
suited him fine, however - after the earlier humiliation, it was now
time for an immediate counterattack!
Charging at her with blinding speed, the slime girl did not even bother
with dodging - after all, what was the point if she had no solid body in
the first place? The moment he tried to punch her, she would submerge
him within her goo in an instant - it would be Rider Raichi to lose
today, not her! It was arrogance like this that lead to her downfall -
the very moment she got ready to end him, half of her body had already
evaporated into thin air from the simmering heat. A process so swift and
ruthless, that she didn't even have the opportunity to utter final words
- by the time she started to move her lips, only that piece of her body
still existed, before it too evaporated without any trace left behind.
The Gooey Goddess had been erased once and for all - and with her
presence gone from the world, the slime she spread across the public
withered and died, saving the day yet another time, without so much as a
single burning building near him.
*****
"Thanks buddy, you really saved my hide there! So drink! This one's on
me, I bought the good stuff from the store!"
Tossing his friend Naoya a can of soda, Raichi flopped down on the couch
in his friend's apartment, kicking his legs up for a bit. The earlier
confrontation was a bit close for comfort, but ultimately, everything
turned out alright - what more could he have possibly asked for? Naoya,
however, fumbled to catch the toss, and his can fell to the ground - a
mishap that got a chuckle out of Raichi, however not out of disrespect,
for it had always been like that between the two of them. Raichi, with
the brawns, athletic ability and enough courage to move an entire army,
and Naoya, the timid, yet loyal and smart brains behind their
operations. The two of them had been joined at the hip since their
childhood, having grown up close to each other, their parents having
been friends for even longer than that. They had conquered youth itself,
school, university, and in recent years, even hero activities - ever
since that fateful night years ago, when the two of them had been on a
camping trip.
It was Naoya's suggestion, of all things - getting out to a nearby lake,
camping there for the night. It was supposed to clear up his head from
an especially stressful job for a client, something that even he
couldn't figure out at the time. Raichi never really had the knack for
programming that his friend possessed, so he had no clue just how
difficult that problem was, but he knew full and well just how smart the
guy was - any problem that had him stumped had to be a massive one.
Naoya never had been the outdoorsy type, but then sometimes, he would
pull stuff like that - something about the cold night air and the starry
night sky above him helping him clear his head. And well, he was his
best friend after all - of course he'd always agree to accompany him if
asked.
What neither one of them could have accounted for on that night was the
presence of a shooting star, however - or at least, an object that
looked like one. Naoya, absorbed in stargazing as he was, thought that
one shooting star landed close to them, even though it might have been
an optical illusion - Raichi's interest was piqued, however, so the two
of them ended up checking out the spot in question. As it turned out,
there actually had been something - though rather than an actual rock
from outer space, it had been a strange bracelet that left a crater in
the middle of the woods.
"Have to admit though, you surprised me, buddy! Never thought I'd see
the day on which shy little Naoya took words like 'Show her hell!' into
his mouth."
"Aww, quit it..."
"Take it as a compliment! You're finally getting into the spirit of
things! Here you are, saying that you aren't the material a hero is made
of, but look at you! You're resembling me more by the day! Take it from
an actual hero, if it keeps up, you could join me too!"
"It's... it's nothing noble like that. There... was just a girl I know
among the victims, and that... got a rise out of me. I'm not like you.
I'm only thinking about singular persons. Trying to save every single
person like you... that's something I couldn't ever accomplish."
As the two of them each took a sip from their can of soda, Raichi
couldn't help but to raise his eyebrow - why was he being so silly? It
was a genuine compliment, why couldn't he be happy about it? It wasn't
like what he confessed contradicted Raichi's own assessment, after all.
"Nah, you're overthinking this, buddy. You know, the important first
step is that you want to save somebody in the first place. Motivation
doesn't mean shit in the end if you never make that resolution. It's
okay to have a selfish reason for wanting to save a specific person.
We're all like that. Wanting to save a family member, a trusted friend,
your own crush - that's all cool. You wanted to do one of those things.
That puts you onto the starting line of being a hero too. Well, though
it's not like we have a second one of these thingies to have you at my
side on the front line, but you know. If something ever happens to me,
I'm sure you could take up my mantle and carry on in my place, too!"
"Hey, don't even joke about this! You're not getting out of this team so
easily after you pulled me into it!"
"Point taken, buddy. Point taken. But yeah. It wouldn't surprise me - if
we get another one of these, maybe you would finally be able to use it
too! I'd bet on it!"
The thingy, as Raichi liked to call it - a bracelet of unknown origin to
either one of them. There it was, on that fateful night, in what looked
like it crashed into earth from outer space. A bracelet that allowed its
wearer to transform into a hero - what turned Raichi into Rider Raichi,
protector of justice (inspired by an old TV show he loved to watch as a
kid, simple-minded as he was). As the two of them experimented with what
it was capable of, Naoya couldn't get so much as a single spark out of
it - only when Raichi wore it and tried to protect Naoya from a weird
lizard-human hybrid that appeared in front of them, did it reveal itself
as a gadget to transform the wearer. The two of them later theorized
that it took a heart of courage to activate it, something that Raichi
had in spades. However, that wasn't the only surprise it had in store
for the two of them - it revealed itself to be a surprisingly intricate
piece of tech, and despite being created with programs he had never even
heard of, Naoya was somehow able to understand how it worked, and even
enhance it! It was the birth of the two of them as a team to fight evil
- Raichi eliminating the monsters that seemed to suddenly appear on
earth, and Naoya supporting him from the back with new inventions (or
unlocking what had already been implemented, as he kept finding new
amazing things the bracelet was capable of).
"Still. Sheesh. Hard to believe it's gonna be three years soon, huh?
Felt like yesterday when those weirdos from the Esper Void Army started
popping up to claim the planet."
"You mean Eternal Void Army, Raichi."
"Right, right. That's the one. Where the head honcho was called Immortal
Kong, or Immortal Khan, or something like that. Wasn't a space monkey,
so probably Immortal Khan. Unless space monkeys look really different
compared to earth monkeys. But bad guys. You know what I mean."
"Don't remind me... if that bracelet hadn't shown up, I don't think
anyone here on earth could have handled them. Though maybe they only
really showed up because it landed here in the first place."
"Yeah, but hey, it's been fun!"
"You call that fun?"
"I mean... sure! It's like in one of those old Kamen Rider shows! Sure,
sometimes the monsters are weird, because I still don't get what the
deal with that berserker ninja who had dinosaur DNA was. But I legally
get to punch bad guys now, and they even pay me for it! Ain't that
awesome?"
Well, he wasn't wrong - Rider Raichi was legally recognized as a
superhero after defeating the first few henchmen of the Eternal Void
Army, proving that he was an ally of humanity. They had worked him to
the bone as the army increased its frequency of attacks, but in exchange
they were actually paying him for the job - money that he was all too
happy to share with the friend that kept making sure nothing was going
wrong behind the scenes. The danger brought them closer than they had
already been - not like that stopped their occasional bickering,
however.
Stopping the Eternal Void Army and its big boss did not put a stop to
the end of their operations, however - far from it, in fact. As the
weeks, months and even years kept going, new threats kept popping up
left and right - some of them relatively minor, while others operated on
a much grander scale. From the relatively normal (like a lunatic that
believed in the supremacy of mushrooms meant to rule over the world), to
the more ridiculous (like a make-believe kingdom that practiced worship
of yoga mats and wanted to force humanity on to them), there hadn't been
a dull moment. People got crazy when they were tripping on power they
never thought they could have. Yes, even with the end of the alien army,
new supernatural powers kept awakening within people - and strangely
enough, only within those that would use it for evil. If there was
anyone with heroic intentions to them, the pair had yet to meet them.
That lead them to their most recent adversary - the T Liberation Empire.
Neither of them knew what the T actually stood for, and none of its
members actually had loose enough lips, so for a long time they had been
stumbling in the dark - it was only recently that they gained enough
information to start formulating a plan to raid their base and take down
the big boss itself, the villain known as Dark Emperor.
"Ever thought what his deal actually is?"
"Whose deal, buddy?"
"Dark Emperor, I mean. We still don't know much about him because he
appears way too rarely. Heck, we still don't have any idea what his
endgame is, and normally villains are all too happy to monologue about
that."
Pondering for a moment, Raichi took the last sip from his can before
throwing it into the trash can with pinpoint precision, ultimately
throwing up his hands in defeat.
"No idea! Maybe he just wants to be the only guy in the world to enjoy a
sexy harem or something. I mean, have you seen the hench...women working
for him?"
"Yeah, that's the point of installing a camera in your armor. To allow
me to see what's going on around you, so that I can help you."
"See! Then you know the guy has some real issues. I mean, who the heck
makes all of his regular grunts wear latex and miniskirts? And I can't
think of a single commander of his that wasn't a hot chick.
Thoughtfreeze, Captain Katze, now the Gooey Goddess, that guy's
definitely on some kind of power fantasy."
"You're telling me he's only conquering the world so that he can get
laid in peace afterwards? Couldn't he just... you know, do that
already?"
"Then do you have any better explanation in mind? I bet you don't."
Well - it was kind of true, Naoya had to admit that much. There really
wasn't much to go on with - the big guy in charge always wore his large,
monstrous black armor that made him look more like an oni than an actual
human, and they didn't know what he looked like underneath - or even
what he sounded like! He was apparently somebody who prepared for every
occasion in order to remain undetected, and that obviously included a
voice changer. Nobody's natural voice could sound this distorted, this
metallic. They only knew he was strong - and even that was a reach,
given that the only basis for their reasoning was that he was the leader
of an organization that gave them trouble on several occasions by now.
"Alright, I admit defeat. I don't have a clue myself, honestly. Which is
why I want to be extra prepared."
"So we're finally going through with it?"
"Yeah, but not right away. I do think we got rid of most of their
commanders, but they should still have enough of a fighting force to
prove challenging, especially if they team up with the guy in charge. If
that battle today is any indication, even you might struggle."
"Hey, have a bit more faith in me, buddy? Did I ever let you down?"
"Oh, I do trust you. Just... call it insurance. We need to make sure
that we're prepared for as many possible events as we can. And with that
in mind... I would like to request absolute silence for a week."
Absolute silence. It was a term Naoya hadn't uttered since their
university days - something that meant exactly what it said on the
cover. A phrase he used when he needed the utmost focus, without any
possible distractions, for an extended amount of time. No contact with
the outside world, save for nightly trips to the convenience store to
store up on food. No responding to phone calls, not even a minute's
break to check up the news on television. It truly was crunch mode for
him - but given the scale of what they were planning, it seemed all too
reasonable to Raichi to grant him this single request.
"Well, alright. Been a while since you requested that, so sure. Just
make sure to take care of yourself, keep an eye on your body. Last time
you tried, it left you an absolute zombie for the week after. Leave the
camera open on your PC just in case they attack and I need backup, too.
No point in preparing if something takes us out before then, right? If
you can promise me those things, then sure. I'll leave you be for a week
and see how I can fill the time until then."
"Yeah, yeah, I'll leave the camera open, don't worry about it..."
Somehow, that answer didn't feel quite as convincing as it could have
been to Raichi - Naoya had the tendency to not respect his own physical
limitations when it came to stuff like that, which meant he was pushing
himself beyond the brink on crunch. That wouldn't do - even Raichi, as
the resident muscle head between the two of them, knew that getting
proper rest was important. But well... he wanted to defeat Dark Emperor
just as quickly as his friend. And there were certain things only Naoya
was capable of doing, things that he wasn't able to help his friend
with, as much as he rued that simple truth. Ultimately, he had to let
Naoya keep doing these things - he trusted the judgment of his friend,
and if that meant that such drastic measures were necessary, there
wasn't much Raichi could do to stop him from doing so.
"Then I'll leave a few more cans of these in your fridge and get going.
And... hey, buddy. If you need me, or if you realize you're biting off a
bit too much in one session after all... well, I can't pretend that I
actually understand what you're doing. As in, that coding stuff itself,
I know what you're doing is to help me. But if you hit a wall and need
to rant or vent for a minute before marching on, you know my phone
number. Don't burn yourself out, you hear?"
It was a genuine request, and as Raichi deposited the cans just as
announced, Naoya couldn't help but to nod with a genuine appreciation
for his friend in his eyes - of course he'd lean on his friend. At that
point in their friendship, that went without saying.
After leaving a few extra snacks in the kitchen as a surprise, Raichi
left the apartment, heading towards the batting cages a few streets down
the road to get rid of excess energy - all while Naoya let complete and
utter darkness take over his room, save for the light of his monitor.
Lowered blinds, closed doors - not a single ray of light would come
inside. The blonde knew it wasn't healthy for his eyes, that most
likely, he would need a pair of glasses down the line (already, he
noticed his vision struggling for a few seconds every so often), but
those simply were the conditions under which he focused best - darkness
around him, with only the clacking noise of his keyboard keys being hit
filling the room. A state of complete, undivided focus and attention,
with nothing to distract him at all, to the point that he often lost
track of time itself - there had been a reason why Raichi insisted for
this technique to be banned for several years. But difficult times
called for harsh measures - he simply couldn't see any other timely
solution for their problems, and what if another villain like earlier
today appeared? What if next time, they didn't find a solution in time,
and civilians would suffer for it?
It wasn't just the incident with the Gooey Goddess that fostered this
worry within him - no, even when they had faced Thoughtfreeze several
weeks ago, the woman was actually capable of brainwashing several
civilians to their side. Civilians that still hadn't been freed from
their brainwashing after the villainess had been defeated, that were
little more than loyal drones for the T Liberation Empire at this point.
It had been a pyrrhic victory, their one major setback at this point.
One they avoided talking about, for they knew that nothing good would
come out of it to rip open that fresh wound again so soon. For all
intents and purposes, she was gone from the world - they had seen her
melt right in front of their eyes, after their previous, not quite
successful test of the newly revised Heat Mode. A small relief, as
neither of them ever wanted to face her again - especially as neither of
them ever figured out how her power to brainwash people actually worked.
The thought of being controlled by her sent shivers down his spine - and
he wasn't even in a position where she could possibly do that to him!
Silently, he kept typing away, making sure to check every line of code
he newly added to the program keeping the armor running, for the worst
thing he could do was to introduce a bug that would blow up the entire
thing without intending to. Still, after several hours, he noticed the
time on his monitor - already, it was close to being midnight.
Remembering the words of his trusted friend, that was as far as he was
willing to push it for the day. Whatever he needed to do, he could still
accomplish after getting some sleep. Turning off the PC, he quickly
departed to the land of dreams on his couch - unaware of the late night
visitor who had been waiting for a moment just like that.
Whether he was ready for it or not, life was about to take a drastic
turn for the brains behind Rider Raichi - and so, as he was being
carried away by a previous enemy of theirs, a cat girl by the name of
Captain Katze, he was none the wiser, for he slept like a log.
*****
"Shit, how long was I asleep? That felt like one hell of a long nap..."
Barely containing a headache from being asleep for so long, Naoya
couldn't help but to let out a small yawn - it was nice to actually get
proper rest for his body, but he didn't forget about his task. He needed
to get back to his computer as soon as possible and continue working,
for his friend was counting on him. However, as his eyes grew accustomed
to the dim light of the room, something struck him as strange - his
surroundings didn't look like his room at all. No, even before then, he
was certain that he engulfed his room in complete and utter darkness -
so why was there a dim light present in the room anyways?
"Am I still asleep? I don't remember buying such a fancy red carpet,
this must be a dream. God damn it, get it together, Naoya..."
That had to be it - a dream. For some reason, he felt strangely
restricted, not being able to move his arms at all - was this some kind
of sleep paralysis? He knew the feeling quite well, for it haunted him a
few times during the past. Yet, it never felt this present - it was as
if somebody had actually tied him up, rather than his own body not
cooperating with him. For a moment, he was tempted to try and look down
his body, just to confirm or deny his suspicions, only to be interrupted
by a shrill laughter from behind him.
"Nyahahaha, isn't he such a dunce? Nyu don't own a red carpet, and this
isn't nyur room either, silly!"
God, now this was getting even weirder. Was he seriously hearing the
voice of that lunatic cat girl from a while ago in his dreams now?
Captain Katze, or whatever her name was? God, and it was accurate. Right
down to the tone of her voice, the inflections she used, even that
annoying verbal tic of hers. Did he start getting nightmares from
overwork? Man, he really needed a coffee just about any minute now so
that he could wake up, the last thing he wanted was to listen to this
figment of his imagination any longer than he had to.
"Now, now. Do not overwhelm him like that. His poor mind must still be
so confused, after such a lovely nap. You can still taunt him once he's
properly awake~"
Dear lord, another one of those voices. This time, it was the Gooey
Goddess, the villain they had just fought and defeated yesterday - now
it was certain that this had to be a dream. Unlike Captain Katze, who
managed to escape from battle, they had seen her evaporate right in
front of their eyes - so all he probably needed to do right now was to
give himself a pinch, right? If only he could actually move his arm
though! No matter how hard he tried, it was as if he was being held in
place by actual restraints - his fingers would obey him, but his arms
wouldn't move an inch. If only he could get his wrist to bend a little
further...
"Oh my, isn't he adorable, though? We can see what you are doing, little
Naoya. There is no point in pinching yourself - I assure you, this is
very much real. And so are we. This will not wake you up, though you are
free to give it a try. I wonder how much you will attempt to struggle
before you realize that truth?"
"Nyahaha, I bet he won't last even a single minute! That guy is a wimp,
always watching behind that silly camera of his! Rider Raichi is so much
more bothersome, compared to him, he's nothing!"
"Don't speak that pesky name so soon, I am still mourning over my
beautiful daughter here..."
"Nyu got quite the issues nyurself, don't nyu? A clone's just a copy of
nyurself, not an actual daughter. I told nyu he might bring the heat!"
"Say that again, miss flea real estate?"
"Nyu picking a fight, slimy?"
Honestly, at this point, Naoya didn't even want to turn around in order
to witness the cat fight about to unfold - the implications of what they
were talking about were already grim enough for him. So what they fought
earlier had just been a clone? Damn, why didn't he think about that? It
would be an easy feat for somebody like a slime girl to just separate
herself into multiple beings, they did that all the time in comic books
and video games! They knew how to beat her now, so in a direct
confrontation, Raichi could likely handle her, but now they had more
forces still remaining than anticipated - all it would take would be for
the commanders to attack several places at once, and Raichi could only
cover one of them at a time. This was seriously bad, really, really bad!
Hearing the hissing and scratching behind him, he used his opportunity
to finally take a look down at himself - only to witness the reason why
he couldn't move, strings of solid slime keeping his arms tied close to
the rest of the body. One way or another, he had been kidnapped - and
given how real all of this was starting to feel, the odds of this being
actually a dream went lower and lower. Was this the end for him? Raichi
wasn't supposed to visit him for another six days, would he find out too
late? Should he maybe try to get as much information out of them as
possible before perishing, then? He should still have a listening device
or two in his clothes, if those transmit everything from here back to
his PC, maybe Raichi will know what kind of danger they were really in!
But then, why wasn't he dead yet? They went through all the trouble to
kidnap him while he was asleep - at his most vulnerable, utterly
defenseless. Wouldn't it have been so much smarter to kill him on the
spot, in his sleep? What was the point in bringing him over to their
lair? It wasn't making any sense - regardless of how confident they
were, it was reckless to bring him into their base. Weren't they worried
about any information making it out of the place? No, wait. How did they
even get information about him in the first place? He was never seen
around Rider Raichi. He was always in the back, and he made sure that
nobody ever hacked his connection to Raichi in order to listen in on
their conversations in the middle of a fight. By all intents and
purposes, he should have been a regular civilian to them. They shouldn't
even know his name! But somehow they did, and they very much pieced
together that he had some kind of connection to Rider Raichi! This was
bad, this was really bad...
"Is that what you want to show an esteemed guest, my darlings? Isn't it
embarrassing to reveal such a petty fight to the man who helped defeat
the two of you?"
Instantly, the two commanders fell quiet as a booming, metallic voice
echoed throughout the entire hall. Even Naoya couldn't help but to break
out in cold sweat - this situation literally went from super bad to even
worse. He knew that voice. He could recognize it anywhere, there was no
mistake about it. Lifting his gaze up ever so slowly, he started to see
the pitch-black armor of Dark Emperor himself, ready to swallow him up
like the inevitable encroaching of the night itself. It was sheer terror
itself - there he was, sitting on a fancy throne, inspecting the room as
if the only thing on his mind was sheer boredom. At least, that is what
Naoya suspected was portrayed underneath the helmet - there was no way
to know for certain, unless he actually took it off himself to reveal
his face to the world.
"I-I'm sorry, Dark Emperor! We didn't intend to show something this
disgraceful!"
"All hail nyur majesty, Dark Emperor!"
Without so much as a further word, the two commanders saluted behind
their captive, and anxiously awaited a further reprimand from their boss
- only for a loud chuckle to echo throughout it.
"There is no need to get this worked up. My sweet kitten, relax your
body. The same to you, my wonderful love drop. I would simply urge the
two of you to leave the hatchet buried for the time - there will be
enough time for the two of you to have a make-up session after this."
Dear lord, those words were already grating on Naoya's ears, even
without accounting for the fact that they were so blatantly distorted by
a piece of tech. Dark Emperor seemed to be an absolute playboy while he
was at home, lending so much more credibility to Raichi's theory of him
being a simple pervert. He really, really hoped it wouldn't have been
the case, that this conquest was supposed to be about something more
meaningful, something more ambitious - but no, those words didn't give
him any reason to keep believing in that.
"I see that you have awoken now, little Naoya. Or should I call you
Rider Raichi's other half? For the longest time, we have been expecting
you - but I couldn't bring myself to wait any longer. I wanted to get a
closer look at you, so I asked my sweet kitten to extend a personal
invitation to you."
"L-last time I checked, invitations weren't mandatory, and people could
reject them!"
"True, the means of your visit were a little... unorthodox, to say the
least."
"That's bold words out of the mouth of a simple kidnapper."
"Then shall I return you to your home, and we play out a retake of my
invitation?"
"Wait, what?"
The sheer nonchalance of the suggestion left Naoya flabbergasted - was
the big boss truly this carefree? Did he actually just suggest returning
him back home so that they could try again for a second time? Before he
was even able to process that piece of information himself, however,
Captain Katze behind him erupted into a pure giggling fit.
"Nyahaha, nyu shouldn't tease him like that, boss! As if we would let
him go after all of this effort!"
"Ah, but there you have it, sweet kitten. With just a little suggestion,
I have put the two of you back at ease again. Relax, for there is only
the four of us. The two of you are free to speak your mind, just like it
has always been - just do not soil our hospitality."
Of course. Of course it had to be a cruel joke. What did he even get his
hopes up for? There was never any way he was getting out of this that
easily, or else he would have called Raichi for back-up long ago.
"Then what do you want with me? Shouldn't you have killed me when you
had the chance, if you already know where I live to begin with?"
"Kill? Such cruel words. What does lead somebody as intelligent as you
to believe that our intention is to kill? Is it because in your world
view, we are an evil empire? Do you see us as a malevolent force of
conquest, ready to take over the world once Rider Raichi has been
defeated?"
As much as he tried to, Naoya couldn't help but to show a little bit of
snark in response - perhaps it was pure adrenaline pushing him forward
in the current moment.
"The more I see of this circus in here, the more I believe you really
just want to get laid, and got some big issues to work through. I
recommend a therapist."
"Ah, scalding words from the tied-up captive - how shall I ever recover
from them?"
There clearly was some sort of inside joke going on that clearly flew
over Naoya's head, for the three of them all simultaneously erupted into
laughter - was his assessment truly this far off the mark?
"But no, little Naoya. Getting laid, as you have put it so charmingly,
is not the end goal of our wonderful little operation. It may be what
happens afterwards, once our goal is achieved - but that, too, is the
cycle of nature. Say, boy. What is it you think our group stands for?
What kind of T is our empire supposed to liberate?"
"Beats me, not like anyone in your group ever blabbed about a particular
philosophy."
"Then let me enlighten you - just between the two of us."
With these words, Dark Emperor stood up, and started walking towards his
captive menacingly, a loud metallic clunk reverberating with every step.
Before long, he was standing directly in front of him, towering over the
captive - and finally, put a single finger on the boy's chest.
"It is this. It flows throughout your entire body. Through the body of
Rider Raichi, the bodies of many of the most important people in the
world. Little Naoya, we are liberating the world from the substance
called testosterone - we are here to eradicate manliness from this world
entirely."
"That takes a special kind of sicko! You think you get all the attention
in the world after you are the only man left in the world? Just for
that? You disgust me, Dark Emperor! Even Immortal Khan was more
respectable than you!"
"So, so. I am being compared unfavorably to a ruthless alien warlord
from space."
The voice modifier made it hard to judge the mood of Naoya's adversary -
was it rage in his voice? Pity? Satisfaction? It was impossible to tell,
for the metallic sound erased any trace of emotion these words could
have possibly conveyed. To Naoya's surprise, however, Dark Emperor took
a knee in front of him, their eyes likely at the same height now. It was
the villain's next words that proved to be the biggest surprise yet.
"Then, tell me. What made you assume that I was ever a man in the first
place?"
One swift motion of the villain's hand later, the helmet was flying
across the carpet, discarded without so much as a second thought - and
underneath, it revealed a decidedly feminine face. Long, red hair
framing tanned, brown skin, paired with piercing blue eyes - the eyes of
a predator seizing up her prey. As much as he wanted to, Naoya couldn't
avert his gaze - the moment their eyes met, he felt himself drawn in,
swallowed up, as his breathing progressively grew quieter.
"Y-you were a woman all this time?"
"Why, did I ever suggest I was anything but a woman? Admittedly, that
armor is pretty tacky. And an Emperor doesn't exactly give one the
mental image of a pretty lady, doesn't it? But did none of you ever deem
it necessary to pay attention to body language? What point is there to a
voice modifier, than to hide what is underneath the armor? I am
surprised that neither of you ever even considered this to be a
possibility. Then again, the smartest people tend to have the narrowest
vision - it doesn't matter if they are smart, or only believe themselves
to be smart."
With a tight grip, her gloved hand held onto his chin, forcing him to
keep up eye contact.
"But I did not invite you here today to give you a lecture on my gender,
far from it."
"Then what? Do you want to humiliate me?"
"Humiliate? Why, no. I find these wits of yours to be charming - even
now, I can tell that you are firing these lovely little synapses, trying
to find out how you could possibly spin this situation into an advantage
for you. Maybe you are even still harboring hopes for an escape, or a
timely rescue? I may have to disappoint you, however. You have already
visited the first cleansing chamber while you were asleep. All those
tiny microphones you were so proud of have already short-circuited. None
of what you hear in here is going to find its way back to your home, we
made sure of it. Unless you had a telepathic connection to Rider Raichi,
of course - but then, there never would have been a need for these
little devices in his armor in the first place, am I right?"
"You... you have known? For how long?"
With a smug grin plastered all over her face, Dark Emperor beckoned
Captain Katze to come closer - a motion that the cat girl happily
followed up on, going on her knees right next to the captive. Without so
much as missing a beat, the villain started scratching underneath the
commander's chin, something that elicited a happy purring from the girl
in question.
"You would be surprised to know just what my sweet kitten is actually
able to pick up on with those adorable little ears of hers. We've known
ever since you fought her - she picked up on every single word of yours.
Did you not consider it to be strange that a commander of all people
turned tail and ran away, rather than fighting to the bitter end?
Imagine my surprise upon hearing there's actually two of you! Somebody
smart enough to manipulate such a sophisticated suit of armor to his own
imagination - I just HAD to meet you."
"I ain't going to create your shady devices, if that's what you
kidnapped me for!"
"Far from it, little Naoya. Our tech division is very capable - I am
putting my full trust into them. No, the purpose of my invitation wasn't
to recruit you into the ranks of our technicians - but it is a
recruitment drive all the same."
"I'll never fucking join you, and if you know anything about me, you
should be very aware of that fact too! If it wasn't for these damn
restraints, I'd punch the lights out of you right here and now!"
These strong words surprised even Naoya himself - he normally wasn't one
to be as boisterous as that, under regular circumstances that was
Raichi's job. Yet, he couldn't help himself - this situation pissed him
off. Betraying his best friend for this crazy empire? Who did they think
he was? There was no way in hell he'd ever lower himself to the level of
scum who'd betray their best friend.
"Why don't we put this to the test, then? My wonderful love drop?
Everything should be alright now. There's no need to keep up these
restraints any longer."
With a frustrated sigh, the Gooey Goddess followed the word of her
leader, and withdrew her slime - true to her word, Dark Emperor was
giving him a chance to punch back, to prove his words.
"Ngh. What the...? Shit, move body, move!"
Of course, it had always been a futile endeavor, and she knew as much in
advance.
"It seems your body does not want to follow your feeble little bravado,
Naoya."
"You... you are doing something to me! If I'd known...!"
"If you had known? Then you would still be in this very same position.
Something like the threat of punches does not suit a mind as bright as
yours - I am simply using the abilities bestowed upon me to make this
easier for both of us."
It was one of the two abilities that had surfaced within her ever since
the Eternal Void Army had been defeated a few years ago - the ability to
keep a person paralyzed through mere eye contact, if she so desired for
it. Her armor, her imposing nature, her supposed status as a man - it
was all a ruse, meant to draw those who opposed her into her snare. To
take them at their most unguarded, at the moment the realization sinks
in that they were fighting against a woman all along. A short moment of
shock, allowing her to lock eyes with them easily. That was all it took
- establishing eye contact, and keeping it going. Useless in a proper
fight, for it could only ever fixate itself on a singular target - but
for her purpose in this meeting, a singular target was all she ever
needed.
"Now then. I admire your fierce loyalty to the one we know as Rider
Raichi. But you are going to become a part of my empire - that part is
not optional. It saddens me to see a mind such as yours trapped in such
a filthy body - but thankfully, this is a flaw I am very capable of
fixing, little Naoya."
A threat that prompted immediate cooing from her commanders - they were
looking forward to it, and she was absolutely serious about it. So she
wanted to turn him into a woman, under the belief that it would make him
join her empire? Then bring it - man or woman, he'd still be by Raichi's
side, come what may! There was no shot this was going to break him!
"Ah, those intense eyes, so full of passion and determination. Very
well, let us make this a transformation to remember! If you would do us
the honors, my dear?"
The Gooey Goddess immediately knew what was being referred to - with a
quick load of slime and a girlish giggle, she immediately was on her way
to dissolve Naoya's clothes, right down to the last shred. Judging by
her expression, she drew a special sense of satisfaction from the event
- just like her clone had been evaporated without so much as a single
trace left behind, his clothes had met a similar fate - though something
much more fun was in store for him now...
"Now then, little Naoya. This may tickle a bit at times, but bear with
it."
Having said those words, Dark Emperor removed her gloves, revealing
dainty, manicured hands underneath it - the absolute opposite of what
one expected to see underneath an armor as bulky as the one she wore.
They had an eerie, unnatural glow to them - it did not take a genius to
figure out that this was part of her abilities, too.
"You know, I always do love myself a tall woman. Who had to decide that
women always need to be more diminutive than men? Long legs, sculpted to
perfection, and curves that seem to go on forever - blessed is the woman
who can enjoy the company of somebody like that."
Touching his shoulders, he could feel his entire skeleton cracking in
discomfort - piece by piece, his bones were shifting, rearranging
themselves, all to accommodate for a taller physique. For a guy, Naoya
had always been very average, maybe even on the shorter side of things -
but now, he could feel himself growing, centimeter by ever so teasingly
wonderful centimeter. It wasn't something he ever expected to happen -
and yet, here it was, in his very own reality. Already, her other hand
had been moving down to his thighs, making them plumb, more rounded,
with soft, padded layers of fat - just enough to give the impression of
feminine legs that its owner took great care of. Alluring, inviting -
meant to make others fantasize about what could possibly be hiding
between them...
As Naoya's newfound growth spurt came to a close, he was now sitting
closer to being just under two meters tall - with a stature such as
this, he would tower even over Raichi! Though from the look of things,
it put him at around a similar height as the Dark Emperor herself.
"Of course, with curves, balance is always important, don't you agree?
The female body is a wondrous thing - so complex, so mystical, so beyond
the understanding of so many people in the world. It is the very
definition of a miracle - the ultimate act of creation. There are so
many little nuances that go into cultivating the perfect body - does
that large cup size look better on a body as tall as yours, or are
flatter plains more appropriate? Do the two halves need to be rounded
out properly, balanced as all things should be? Or is it perhaps more
appropriate to be top-heavy, to be bottom-heavy? A tiny waist would
never do - health is always an important aspect, no matter what ideals
of beauty you would be chasing, little Naoya."
He knew what to expect at this point - as she was waxing on about the
perfect female figure, she was touching him in the very same spots she
was talking about - his chest, his butt, his torso. In her indecision,
his body was in a state of flux - as fat pooled from his nipples, kept
growing and growing, it burst forth into an outright motherly cleavage,
a size as if he had just given birth and wanted to feed a baby, before
shrinking into the much smaller pastures of an A cup. Larger and
smaller, smaller and larger, the villain ultimately settled on a rather
womanly bosom - a fair D cup, making sure that these breasts would
become a focal point of his new body, one people would not be able to
avert their eyes from.
After so much back and forth, Naoya expected a similar fate to befall
his butt - and yet, despite her own monologue, she already seemed to
have a very clear idea of what she wanted to see out of Naoya on that
front. On and on it swelled, like water running into a balloon, trying
to see just how much could be fit into it before it burst. Already, her
hands were sinking into the soft pillows bursting forth from his rear,
before ultimately stopping at a veritable bubble butt - not too large,
and yet large enough to ensure that Naoya would likely never wear pants
again in the future.
With his torso being the next center of attention, he could feel his
breathing growing short and ragged for a few moments, as his rips
constricted - it was ever so slightly, and yet, enough to give him a
visible curve to his body. Soon enough, his hips were about to follow,
widening as his shoulders narrowed - even with parts of him still
decidedly male, at this stage, nobody would ever mistake him for a guy
again from a distance - not with a body shape like the one he was
currently sporting.
"F-fuck you, I wasn't asking for your beauty tips!"
It was all he could muster up, all he could bring past his lips - too
overwhelming were the sensations all across his body. The villain only
smiled - she enjoyed this far too much.
"Oh, but you will find that those beauty tips are well worth it. Not
everyone has skin as smooth and lovely as you - but it is a constant
effort to keep it that way. Beauty takes many sacrifices - and I can
tell your body is all too willing to take them. Why, those dainty little
hands? They are so positively adorable! Imagine what they would look
like, cupping the flesh of another woman - volumes of tit flesh spilling
past your grasp. Those long, slender digits, those delightfully purple
nails, those soft arms - you are already shaping up to be so much more
delectable. It almost makes me want to take a bite already - but my
heart belongs to those who sport the full package. Fortunately, it looks
like we aren't that much further away from it - isn't that simply
delightful?"
She was right - his arms never looked muscular at all, but with each
passing second, they were farther and farther removed from what he
considered to be the arms of a man. As a gentle breeze blew past his
nude body, it sent a shiver throughout him - with not a single strand of
hair beneath his neck, the chill had become so much more noticeable than
ever before. Even his hands shifted in exactly the ways Dark Emperor
described - soft, dainty, slender, capped off with nails painted in a
deep, dark purple. Before he even had the time to process the changes,
his feet followed suit - he wasn't able to look down due to being caught
up in her gaze, but he just knew they were turning just as womanly, just
as tender, with exactly the same purple nails. This woman was thoroughly
toying with him - hopefully he would be able to make her regret it, even
in this body!
"Now then, I would reckon that the only thing remaining is your head -
well, and that little worm of yours further down below, but one should
always keep the tastiest treats for the very end. You have been
remarkably quiet so far, but this isn't fun - I want to see you
squirming. Thankfully, I know just the way to draw a reaction out of
you..."
After grabbing his neck for a moment, almost as if to choke him, Naoya
didn't know what to do for a second - however, she removed her hand just
as quickly as she had placed it, not even remaining there for long
enough to leave a distinctive mark on it. Rather, her hand moved further
down alongside his curves, tracing every single inch of him - until two
fingers circled around his nipples, giving him a quick pinch.
Something that immediately prompted a moan, in a deeply sensual voice,
as if it had been dripped in pure honey, coated in just the slightest
bit of smokiness.
"My, what a lovely little singing voice you have gained, little Naoya! I
wasn't sure about which one to give you, and was ready to change it up
again a few times, but I think this one suits us just perfectly - oh,
how wonderful it will be once over time, even that inner voice of yours
will sound so delightfully womanly~"
Admiring her work for a few moments, she wondered what she would do
about his head - but then again, she was a woman of simple tastes. Why
not just go with what her heart told her? There was no need to announce
the changes to his head to him - why, this could be a little surprise!
Carefully, she grasped his face, making sure to shift it towards more
rounded, inviting proportions. With a smile, she watched over his nose
shrinking, his lips puffing up, his eyes getting wider and growing
longer lashes - even his cheekbones rising in the process, all in her
efforts to give him the most seductive face she could think of. Slowly,
his eyes shifted in color, until they arrived at a steely gray - a gaze
like that always left her swooning, so she intended to give him the best
of the best in that regard! Coupled with lovely red lipstick, and a
smokey purple eye-shadow, the visage looking back at her was lovely -
and yet, not quite complete yet.
Embracing her victim while keeping up the eye contact, she started
stroking through the hair from his back - each time, her strokes became
longer and longer, inviting his hair to grow, grow, and grow so much
more, making it extend all the way down to his plush rear. However, it
simply wouldn't do to keep it in a color as dreadful as his own - what
point was there ever in dyeing it in such a cheap blonde? And to think,
he had such pretty, lovely raven hair by birth - what point was there in
hiding it? She wanted somebody elegant, somebody mysterious, somebody
seductive - it would only be appropriate for those traits to be
reflected in his hair too. With each sweeping motion, the dye started to
drain out of his hair, making way for a mane as dark as the night itself
- truly a vision of perfection. She could tell by his face that he
realized just how long his hair had grown - but what would it possibly
look like the moment he realized he was back to his original hair color?
However, she wouldn't give him this luxury. Not in the waking world, at
the very least - her highest ranking commander was probably growing
impatient at this point already. No matter - after just one little
finishing touch, she would be able to have her fun as well~
"Finally, the moment we have been waiting for, little Naoya. At the very
least, I have been waiting for it - though you may find this sensation
to be quite enjoyable. It is time that we take little Naoya, and put
lovely Naomi in his place. You may feel free to cry out - it is your
last goodbye to a trusted comrade, after all."
Decisively, she put her hands onto his crotch, grabbing his shaft
without so much as a moment's hesitation - and already, the glow in her
hands only intensified, sending literal sparks of electricity throughout
his body from that focal point. More and more, it started heating up,
and yet, Naoya was desperately keeping his composure now that he had
experienced the previous nipple pinch - and in a way, Dark Emperor
couldn't help but to admire him for it. The research of her commanders
revealed him to be a timid young man, and yet he held such a force of
will, such impressive control over his mental faculties - it would be
fun to twist it into something much more suited to the grander purpose.
With each passing second, even as Naoya panicked internally, his shaft
grew smaller and smaller, before ultimately receding back into his body,
making way for the sweet folds of his new nether regions. Yet, even so,
Naoya - or rather Naomi, held strong. She wasn't giving Dark Emperor the
satisfaction of a reaction, come what may! It almost made Dark Emperor
pout - but only almost.
"Aww, looks like your smarts are backed up by commendable self-control.
I admit, I am impressed! However, there is no running from the truth,
lovely Naomi - you are a woman now. Every inch of your body has been
changed to utter perfection - just imagine, all those men and women
lusting after you with their gazes, captivated by your beauty! Though do
not worry, for I am not a woman of excessive cruelty - by the time I am
done with my grand mission, there will only be women around to admire
you. You will not have to deal with any creeps - no, you get to enjoy
the wonderful embrace that only somebody like me or my comrades can give
to you."
"So you intend me to become a friggin' honey trap for Raichi, that it?
Don't fool yourself, he doesn't have even the slightest bit of libido
for that, all he cares about are justice and heroics."
Words like these were at odds with the utterly seductive voice coming
from Naomi's lips - every time she opened her lips, it sounded as if she
was an actress straight out of an adult video. What other reason could
there possibly be to give her a voice like that? It had to be related to
that! Little did they know that she would never play along with a scheme
like that - no, she would resist at every corner! Yet, why did Dark
Emperor seem to be so unfazed, then? Did she still have a plan up her
sleeve? But how? The only one in her army that could do something about
this was...
The icy chill suddenly permeating throughout the room answered her
question before she could even finish thinking it - no, this couldn't
be! This couldn't possibly be!
"I know, I know. You are itching and ready to go after my wonderful love
drop and my sweet kitten had their fun already. I was just about to pass
her over to you, there's no need to get impatient, my charming crystal."
"Then please take a step back, my lady. There is no need for you to get
caught up in this."
"Of course - work your magic. You know what I want out of this,
Thoughtfreeze - I expect quality work as usual."
There it was, that name that terrified her more than any others -
Thoughtfreeze! But she was dead! They saw her melting, right in front of
them! Yet, even with the eye contact between her and Dark Emperor now
finally being broken, she couldn't even get a good look at her to
confirm her existence. No, before she was even able to turn around, she
was encased into a massive pillar of ice, becoming a veritable human
popsicle.
"W-w-w-warn us next time too, blondie! I-I-I-I always get s-so fucking
cold and stiff when you freeze stuff, it's not good for my body!"
The Gooey Goddess was fortunate enough to be far away enough from Naomi
when the flash freeze happened - and yet, that was of little comfort to
her. She always became so slow, so brittle around those silly pillars of
ice - that power wasn't pretty at all!
"Nyahaha, nyur own fault for not paying attention! I nyuw she was there
the entire time! Nyu should pay more attention to your surroundings, or-
"
"Ah, just cut it out, you two. You can see our lady doesn't like this,
just go, get a room and slobber each other with kisses already, you both
know you want it."
"Say what?!"
Stepping out of the shadows, a tanned, blonde woman in a swimsuit
entered their range of vision, obviously amused at the lover's spat in
front of her, but still trying her best to act annoyed to get on her
lady's good side. It was the villainess Thoughtfreeze - Dark Emperor's
highest ranking commander, after being the most successful one in
bringing people over to their side. As much as she looked like the
ultimate beach bunny, the woman was sharp and attentive - after all, she
yearned for nothing more than to have a place at her lady's side. Not
necessarily as a lover, but rather somebody to be relied on - attributes
that Dark Emperor deeply cherished about the commander.
"Now then, my charming crystal - how long do you suspect it might take
until I can enter the lovely embrace of my new wife? Her mind truly
seems so much more formidable than anything I ever let you work on
before."
For a moment, Thoughtfreeze looked at the frozen woman with disinterest
in her gaze, before ultimately shrugging her shoulders and turning back
to face her lady.
"Honestly, no clue. But might be much faster than any of us expects.
With types like these, it's very similar to engaging somebody in a match
of judo - they look strong and powerful, but that makes you able to use
that power against them. We don't intend to break that strong will, we
just want to channel it towards something more in line with your goals,
right? She already has the core values, really. Loyalty, strength of
will, mental sharpness - we just need to rewire it. Well, we will know.
Once she's ready, the ice will melt. I prepared some fun visions for
her, and my special ice should be hitting her brain any moment now. Sit
back, throw your feet up, and enjoy her being suspended in ice - you can
warm her up personally in bed later, if my lady is still feeling up to
it."
"That IS a charming offer, indeed. I may just take you up on it. Here,
everyone who wants to, sit down beside me - we are going to witness the
birth of my new bride together~"
It was an offer none of them needed to hear a second time - they were
all keen on welcoming their newest comrade into their ranks, after all.
*****
"Gah, what was in that drink yesterday? Raichi better not mixed up the
labels and got beer instead of soda, I already feel like I wanna
puke..."
Slowly, the young man was waking up - the earlier terrors gone from his
mind, his body not revealing even the slightest trace of his previous
ordeal. No, for all intents and purposes, he had no idea what he just
went through - he still considered himself to be in his room, having
fallen asleep some time during his latest coding session.
"Did I leave the window open? Kinda chilly in here. Don't we have
summer? Feels more like a blizzard is raging outside. Where's that
heater again...?"
Stumbling around in complete and utter darkness, he tried to find the
switch of the heater, or at least the light switch, but to no avail - no
matter how much he fumbled around, his hands kept hitting air, and
nothing else. Weird, did his room always have this much space? Even with
Raichi sharing half of his sizable income with him, he still preferred
the small apartment he occupied since his university days - where ever
he currently was, it decidedly wasn't that familiar place. He knew the
layout of his home by heart, after all.
Those questions wouldn't remain unanswered for long - after a few
minutes in complete darkness, a dim, large light came to life on the
wall in front of him - a large rectangle, like in a movie theater.
Wait, movie theater?
Allowing himself a few minutes to get his eyes used to the dim light,
more and more details of his surroundings came into view - he actually
WAS in a genuine movie theater. By sheer luck, he had been stumbling
through the rows of seats without ever tripping over any of them, but
now he saw just how spacious the room was, how massive the screen was.
And yet, as spacious as it was, it was only him in there - nobody else,
not even the tiniest little insect scurrying through the shadows of the
theater. No doors, no windows - only the light of a projector coming
through a glass screen at the back of the room. Trying to break it was a
futile effort, for it seemed to be reinforced - though he very much
doubted that he would be able to squeeze himself through the tiny
opening, even if he somehow managed to break it. At best, he could
probably squeeze his head through it, though that would risk not being
able to pull it back out again afterwards - it would be a tight fit.
Wherever that room with the projector was in the grander scheme of
things, he couldn't get so much as a single glimpse of it, for the room
was swallowed up by an even denser darkness. So was he trapped?
It was impossible to enter a room without any entrances - and yet, even
after searching, he couldn't find anything resembling a way to get in,
or out. No regular entrances, no secret passageways - the only option
out of his reach was a potential trap door in the ceiling, but he didn't
have any bruises from a fall, so that seemed like an unlikely gateway of
entry as well. Perhaps he was still asleep, off in dreamland? Dreams
could be absurd like this, defying any kind of logic - but if he was
aware of himself to such a degree, this had to be a lucid dream, then.
"Well, if it's like this, I guess I can just sit down and wait to wake
up?"
It was a simple, harmless thought - if it was indeed a dream he was
dealing with, there was no point in getting worked up over it. If he
merely followed along with the flow, he would be out of this situation
before he knew it - that's how dream logic tended to work. And so, he
made himself comfortable in one of the plush seats near the back of the
room - hey, maybe the theater could be at least nice enough to show a
rerun of one of his older favorite shows. It's been ages since they re-
aired that show about robot penguins in outer space, and recently he's
really been craving to go through it again (he was a fan of the more
niche shows, okay?).
Yet, what actually flickered to life on the screen was already testing
the limits of his resolution to shrug off the dream and go with the flow
- it was downright tasteless!
"Why the hell are they showing those T Liberation Empire creeps?"
There they were, visible on the large screen - the minions of the very
force him and Raichi were fighting against. Numerous women who might as
well be called drones - complete and utter loyalty to the Empire
hardwired into their brains, as they walked and saluted in their shiny
black uniforms. Latex everywhere - Naoya hated to admit it, but Raichi
was completely right when he called Dark Emperor a kinky bastard. Those
high boots, those deep valleys of cleavage, those utterly short skirts -
would anyone with a shred of self-respect ever wear these? And their
eyes just looked so utterly empty - the only thoughts going through
their heads were probably complete and utter loyalty to their leader,
that complete sicko.
And the music backing this insane video! Even Raichi would immediately
know what to associate with it, even though he slacked off in history
class all the time - whoever made this movie made sure to make it as
much of a propaganda movie as they could think of. All it was missing at
this point was if the movie was in monochrome, really...
Damn, now that he got worked up for a second, he started to feel that
annoying chill again - for a moment, he shivered, completely unaware of
the crackling noise coming from the corners of the theater. No, if
anything, his attention was on the movie, for some strange reason - he
hated it, but he couldn't turn away his eyes from it either. What kind
of stuff went through his brain at night to make him watch something
like this?
As the attention shifted away from the minions of the empire, a large
balcony came into view on the screen - the women still saluting to their
Emperor standing high above them. Yeah, there he was alright - Dark
Emperor, clad in his jet-black armor. Slowly, his commanders entered the
balcony from the room behind, bit by bit - he recognized a few of them,
like Captain Katze, Thoughtfreeze and Gooey Goddess, but some of these
faces were unfamiliar - were there still that many fighters left on
their side? Or was that something his imagination was coming up with on
the fly?
Not paying his confusion any heed, the movie continued without any
break, the cold still creeping up on the room, encasing more and more of
the walls in ice as Naoya stayed transfixed on what was in front of him.
Without a care in the world, Dark Emperor waved his hand to the crowd,
which erupted into gleeful cheering and clapping - did they want to
paint him as some kind of hero? What a complete, utter joke that was.
Slowly, however, the movie was starting to throw him a couple of curve
balls - as Dark Emperor removed the helmet of his armor, what came into
sight underneath it wasn't the bulky, scarred man him and Raichi always
expected to be hidden by it, but rather a stunningly beautiful woman.
But why? Why was his brain suddenly set on Dark Emperor being a woman?
And why did it feel so right to have her be one? Long, fiery red hair, a
nice tan, and those eyes - it was a very specific look to her, and yet,
he already couldn't imagine Dark Emperor as looking any different than
that.
Things got stranger still as one final person entered the balcony,
however - and for whatever reason, Naoya found his eyes drawn towards
her the most. This woman radiated lust, sexuality, temptation, seduction
- from the way she walked, to the way her tight, long dress showed off
all her curves, right down to the way the long slits at the bottom
flashed a healthy amount of leg with every step she took, Naoya knew
right away what her role was - but he had never seen her before. Then
why did she look so familiar? Her long, black hair reminded him of the
color that was running throughout his entire family - the color that he
never really liked and dyed blonde, even if it meant being ostracized by
society at large for it. Those vivid, red lips. Those purple nails, the
generous cleavage peeking out at the upper end of her dress. Everything
about her felt so real, to the point Naoya wasn't even sure anymore if
she was a product of his imagination - however, that was the point at
which the movie was cut off with a loud, cracking noise echoing
throughout the entire theater.
The room had been completely encased in ice.
"What the...?! I knew it was getting colder, but t-t-this is getting
ridiculous!"
It turned completely silent - the only sound reaching his ears being the
one of his own breathing. Vapor formed in front of his face whenever he
breathed out, and goosebumps were all over him. This felt way more real
than a dream should! Even the seats were fully covered in ice, not even
giving him the option to lean against its soft fabric - though at this
point, he might have risked getting frozen to its surface if he didn't
pay attention. Light still seemed to permeate the room, even with the
movie long gone from the screen - and yet he couldn't find out just
where the source of light was coming from, only that it was there. He
could have even sworn that he saw snow crystals dancing through the air
every so often - yet every time he turned towards where he perceived a
motion in the air, nothing was to be seen. Was his only option to
explore, then? Maybe now that the room was frozen over, a new exit would
reveal itself!
Carefully, with measured steps, he inched ever closer to the edge of the
room, making sure not to slip on the floor beneath his feet - he never
had been to an ice rink in order to skate there, but he felt like this
was probably how a newcomer to a place like that felt when they stepped
on the ice for the first time. Eventually, he made it to one of the
walls - and couldn't hide his surprise! Somehow, the ice had turned the
entire wall into a mirror, for he could see every single detail of his
body reflected in it. Looking at himself, he knew he should have picked
the pyjama with the long sleeves for bed this month instead, at least
then he wouldn't be so exposed to the elements that way - and yet, his
focus on his reflection was eventually interrupted. Something wasn't
right. But what?
Wanting to take a step back to get a look at the bigger picture, Naoya
found that his feet wouldn't move - rather than being frozen to the
ground, however, they simply didn't budge, as if he was no longer the
master over his own flesh and blood. Instead, the expression on his
reflection distorted into an evil grin - shit, was this an attack?
Trying once again to move, this time by attempting to cover his front
with his arms, he found that even moving those was beyond his reach -
they wouldn't obey him, no matter what he tried. Instead, his own
reflection started waving towards his real body - and he couldn't help
but to mimic the motion, despite his best intentions to resist. Was...
was his mirror image controlling him?
As if to answer the question, the reflection started moving his arms
even further, removing every single piece of clothing from his body -
and once again, Naoya was helpless to resist, following suit and tossing
each piece behind him immediately after removing it. Instantly, he could
see in the reflection that the clothes were burned to cinders by an icy,
light blue flame, vanishing as if they had never existed in the first
place. And now, there was only him - Naoya, in his birthday suit.
However, the reflection was far from satisfied with only this meager
outcome.
Snapping its fingers for a moment, Naoya could see how besides his
reflection, a swarm of snowflakes grew denser and denser, slowly taking
on a particular shape as the crystals started connecting with each
other, shifting to a different color - by the time the process had
finished, a lacy black thong, as well as a raunchy pair of black
stockings had dropped to the ground. Naoya had a suspicion where this
was going, and tried to cry out for any kind of help - crossdressing was
an absolute humiliation that he would never, ever stand for! Yet, not
even his lips would obey him as the reflection bent forward, picking up
the pieces of clothing and getting dressed in them - leaving Naoya in
decidedly feminine lingerie, a prominent bulge revealing that the look
did not suit him at all.
It was a small problem that the reflection easily knew how to rectify.
All it took was a swish of its hand in front of the crotch, and the
bulge disappeared as if by magic - leaving behind folds that Naoya was
completely unaccustomed to. Another swish left him with meaty thighs and
dainty feet, then wide hips, a smaller torso, and narrow, rounded
shoulders. Bit by bit, the reflection started replacing every little
nook and cranny of his body into a feminine version of itself - large
breasts, slender arms, a pretty face. By the time his face was done
changing, and his hair grew out and changed color, he already knew who
he was turning into - the very same woman he saw on the balcony in the
movie, the one clinging to Dark Emperor's arm. But why? Why was he in
that movie, at the side of the person who should be his sworn nemesis?
Almost as if the reflection was able to read his thoughts, it started
sporting a look of disapproval on its pretty face - an expression that
quickly shifted to become much more malevolent, however, as the
reflection rapidly started tapping its forehead with a single finger, a
motion that Naomi couldn't help but to replicate. Wait, Naomi?
For a moment, that name felt strange, as if two separate names were
clashing within her mind. On one side, a young man named Naoya, on the
other side, a gorgeous woman named Naomi. Each of them felt equally
real, and yet, with each tap of her finger, Naoya grew more and more
distant - by the tenth tap, she was already struggling to remember what
a Naoya could possibly even look like. Yet, this was wrong - she had to
get help! Where was Raichi when she needed him? There was this freaky
reflection taking control of her body, and her closest ally was nowhere
to be found!
Her reflection very much took note of those feelings of helplessness -
they would provide fertile soil for the road ahead. However, Naomi
wasn't done changing yet - lingerie alone did not make the kind of woman
that Dark Emperor wanted in her life. Starting to crystallize the air
around itself once more, even more objects slowly came into existence,
each one more intricate than the one before it - black, elegant,
fingerless gloves, a pair of high heels, as well as the very same purple
dress she had seen in the movie. The reflection was intent on dressing
her up like a piece of arm candy, from the looks of it.
It was frustrating, every single second of it - here she was, wanting to
be a partner to the amazing hero her childhood friend had become, and
yet she was so completely helpless! It was only logical that Raichi
wouldn't come for her - when did she ever contribute in the same way
that he had?
As if to validate those feelings, she could see Raichi appearing in the
far back of the room, through the reflection in the mirror - yet, as her
reflection forced her to turn towards him, she could only see him
crumbling into many snowflakes, crushing the faint hope she had built up
within those few seconds. Again and again, the reflection repeated this
pattern of forcing Naomi to see Raichi's reflection in the mirror, only
to observe it crumbling upon turning around. She just wanted it to stop
- she wanted it to stop altogether! Why? Why did Raichi have to leave
her like that, abandon her like that?
Under normal circumstances, it would have been clear to the girl that
something about her line of thinking wasn't normal - that she was acting
unlike herself, that something was very much wrong. However, every time
she turned towards the mirror again, her reflection made her tap her
forehead once again, without fail, and with every repetition, that
feeling of having been abandoned, of having been left behind, grew
stronger and stronger. Why wasn't he coming for her?
Loneliness started to turn into stronger frustration, which was close to
entering the gateway towards rage - and yet, that too wasn't quite the
feeling the reflection wanted to nurture within Naomi. No, a woman like
her deserved the world - and the world she should receive. Expecting to
be shown another reflection of Raichi, Naomi was caught off-guard when
she saw Dark Emperor besides her own reflection, without her helmet -
and upon being forced to turn to her side, she saw the very same woman
right in front of her, eyes on the same level. She, however, did not
crumble - and as Dark Emperor took Naomi's gloved hand into her own,
there was a warmth to it that any of the ice in the room thoroughly
lacked. Was she real? Was this the actual Dark Emperor?
Slowly, her delicate hand was lifted up, guided towards the woman's lips
- and without so much as a moment of hesitation, a soft, tender kiss had
been placed on the back of Naomi's hand, sending a curious warmth
throughout her. What... what was this feeling? Why did she heat up like
that when she was being kissed like that?
For a moment, Naomi blinked, her long lashes fluttering ever so
seductively - and yet, in the short moment that action took, everything
seemed to have shifted. No longer standing on the ground, she was now
laying on the floor - and on top of her, Dark Emperor with a loving,
lustful fire in her eyes, her armor all but fully removed. Was this what
she thought this was? Was Dark Emperor about to ravage her?
Yet, rather than the assault of a beast in heat, the woman was
surprisingly tender - brushing aside strands of hair that fell in front
of Naomi's face, giving her breasts some gentle squeezes, caressing her
soft skin - there was no force in it, unless Naomi would approve of it -
and for some strange reason, she was starting to think that perhaps, a
more forceful approach might not be so bad after all.
What started out as a session of soft and gentle cuddling picked up in
pace, and started becoming a heated make-out session - yet, by this
point in time, Naomi failed to realize that she was no longer being
controlled by her reflection at all. Her actions had become genuine -
she WANTED to be with this woman. She did not leave her alone. She
appeared when she was at her loneliest, and offered her comfort - much
more than anyone had ever given her.
With this acceptance of Dark Emperor's advances, even Naomi's past
seemed to shift - her childhood with Raichi feeling more and more like a
dream that never was. She was a woman proud of her own sexuality, of the
liberating feeling that her body gave her. Yet, the world around her was
not kind to Naomi for it - being called a harlot was among the most
harmless insults being flung at her. As she kept getting older, she
started to see people as pawns to be used - to get her way, even if it
meant having to use her body, her feminine charms and wiles. Nobody
would ever give her the love and intimacy she so desperately craved -
until she had met Dark Emperor.
Yes, Dark Emperor - the woman who so brazenly wormed her way into her
heart. A goddess with a vision, to free the world of the people who
demonized her - and said goddess offered her a place at her side, as the
owner of the throne besides her own, as Dark Emperor's wife. Ah, that
lovely face, those beautiful red locks - whenever she thought of the
face of her beloved, the only one for her, she could feel the lust
within her spiking once more. She wanted to be hers - to devote her
entire life towards her darling's goals, to help her with her ambitions.
To be the sinister temptress Dark Emperor needed to draw more people
into their empire - the place that offered her a home, a place to
belong.
Seeing the realization on her wife's face, Dark Emperor started smiling,
and lifted Naomi up into a princess carry - one that the temptress
thoroughly enjoyed, clinging to her savior's chest as if it was the most
natural thing in the world. Only upon spotting a familiar figure in the
back of the theater did her expression shift into a scowl, a look of
pure disdain - however, though the figure was familiar, it was no longer
in the same context as it used to be.
Rider Raichi. That worm, that vermin, who kept trying to obstruct the
brilliant plans of her wife, her goddess! Just how many times did he
need to stick his nose into where it didn't belong? Couldn't he just
die, or at least be brainwashed into becoming one of her wife's little
grunts? Yet he kept persevering every single time, putting them back
several steps on their road to a feminine paradise! This had to stop! He
had to be defeated!
Gauging her wife's reaction, Dark Emperor smiled, and put her down
again, so as to not hurt her - then, a large, sweeping motion of Dark
Emperor's arm sent a shock wave throughout the room, instantly crushing
Rider Raichi into several little blocks of ice. Again and again, he
appeared in different corners of the room, but every single time, it was
Dark Emperor's arm that removed the charlatan from the theater
altogether. Naomi couldn't help but to swoon over how strong and
powerful her wife was, feeling reaffirmed in her love once more - and
the moment Dark Emperor kneeled down to give her wife a kiss on the
lips, Naomi could feel herself falling down - no longer did the ice that
kept her suspended in reality need to work its magic on her.
As Naomi laid on the ground, naked in a pool of melting water, the real
Dark Emperor was watching her with a soft smile on her face -
Thoughtfreeze had done an excellent job in her service once again. It
was time to get acquainted with her new wife - as well as to lay down
the groundwork for Rider Raichi's inevitable arrival next week...
*****
"Villainous scum! Return Naoya to me at once, or not even King Enma
himself will be able to save you from what I am about to do to you!"
Rider Raichi was beyond furious - after putting his complete faith into
Naoya, trusting him to take care of everything he needed to do within a
week, he eventually learned of his kidnapping at the hands of the T
Liberation Empire. They had pulled a lot of atrocious stunts over time,
but this time, they had truly done it - nobody laid a hand on the person
he looked up to the most in the world, his dearest friend himself!
His revenge was swift, with a ferocity unmatched by even the wildest
adversaries that Immortal Khan had thrown at the world years ago, and
wherever he went in hunt of their secret hideout, people were quick to
avoid him from the sheer intensity he emitted. Every time he spotted one
of their minions, rage bubbled up within him, and more than once, he was
almost ready to burn them to a crisp if they didn't point him towards
where he needed to go - it was only his belief in justice that helped
him in overcoming these feelings, preventing him from becoming little
more than a common murderer.
Ultimately, he managed to find some measure of success in locating their
hideout, even if it took him several tries before one minion actually
pointed him in the right direction - to her, he was at his nicest,
merely tossing her head first into a nearby trash can. He did not even
care that enemies that should no longer be alive tried to stop him from
getting close to the big boss - before she knew what was happening, the
Gooey Goddess was little more than a statue made of ice, and even that
cat girl whose name eluded him wasn't able to stop him from entering the
throne room. There he was, Dark Emperor, clad in his black armor, a
woman clinging tightly to his arms - so after kidnapping Naoya, he had
the nerve to enjoy his time with a concubine?
The unfairness of it all made his blood boil, and in his fury, he made
the biggest threat he could think of in the heat of the moment - but in
response, only the distorted, metallic laughter of the final boss
himself was echoing throughout the room. Normally, it was impossible to
read any kind of emotion out of Dark Emperor's voice - and yet, Raichi
just knew that right now, the enemy was mocking him.
"What a simple-minded, blind fool of a friend you are, Rider Raichi!
Letting your closest ally out of sight, and blaming me, the lord of an
empire, with your own failure? You are a disgrace, unbecoming of the
title of hero!"
"Shut it with your semantics, you lump of metal! Where the hell is
Naoya? If he's not here by the count of three, you can start preparing
for that armor to become your smoldering coffin! Rider Raichi, Heat Mo-"
Yet, Dark Emperor's laughter only grew louder and louder - truly, the
hero was an even blinder fool than imagined!
"Take a good look, oh you blind fool! What kind of hero does not even
recognize their own inspiration when it is right in front of them?"
"What the hell are you babbling on about?"
"Your ignorance is astonishing, Rider Raichi. Are you truly this blinded
without Naoya by your side? Were you ever a worthy companion to begin
with? Why don't we let my dear wife Naomi be the judge of that?"
As if on command, the love-struck woman clinging to Dark Emperor's arm
finally turned her attention away, and towards Rider Raichi - and yet,
all that was visible on her face was a look of pure disgust, as if she
had seen something even lower than a cockroach. It was all the reaction
needed from her - her expression conveyed her feelings of hate and
disdain far more efficiently than words ever could.
And then, after a moment of confusion, something finally clicked within
Rider Raichi's head.
"N-Naoya? Is that...? What the hell did this guy do to you? Naoya, wake
up, it's me, your best friend! I-it's me, Raichi Ikeda! W-why are you
looking at me with eyes like that? Don't you remember me? Hey, Naoya!
Listen to me!"
Within an instant, reality crumbled all around him, making way for a
feeling he hadn't ever been familiar with throughout his entire life -
pure, unadulterated despair. What... what was going on? He didn't
understand the world anymore. Why was Naoya a woman? Why did he not
recognize him anymore? Why did he look at him with those hateful eyes?
Not in his right state of mind, he did something foolish, and removed
the mask of his armor, just to get through to his friend in a last ditch
effort. Naoya just had to recognize his stupid face! They spent so much
time together, there was no way he couldn't remember any of it!
However, his efforts were in vain - not only did Naomi's expression not
change, she eventually returned to simply clinging to Dark Emperor's
arm, feeling much more comfortable to shower their worst nemesis with
love than to deal with the nuisance Dark Emperor would remove all too
soon.
He only saw one solution - Dark Emperor had to die! When they fought
that slime girl before, every single one of her victims was freed when
she evaporated - it had to be the same with him! Seeing that glint in
his eyes, Dark Emperor urged Naomi to hide in the back, before seizing
up Rider Raichi for what he most likely thought would be their final
confrontation.
"I see you have prepared your heart and soul to end this once and for
all. Let me commend that fighting spirit and determination of yours -
even backed into a corner, you still cling to a shred of hope, not
knowing that it has already been consumed by the night. Very well! As a
sign of respect, allow me to bestow you with the honor of looking at my
face - burn it into your memory, Rider Raichi, for it will be the last
thing you shall ever see!"
Flinging the mask from her head, Dark Emperor revealed the woman
underneath the suit of armor, locking eyes with the still maskless Rider
Raichi - and the moment the biggest thorn in her side dropped to his
knees, his legs not being able to support his weight anymore, she knew
she had him right where she wanted to. Now, what part of her growing
Empire was still in need of improvement?
An unnamed minion, latex clinging tightly to her curves, only joyous
obedience running through her head? A new kitty for Captain Katze to
train and tease? A piece of furniture, a footstool to be used whenever
she felt like making herself comfortable on her throne?
With these questions in mind, she waved her hand without breaking eye
contact, beckoning for Naomi to come closer again now that the danger
had passed - oh how she loved the company of this little vixen, truly
the best idea she had come up with to this date. Loyal to a fault, not
even the sight of her former comrade was enough to make her switch sides
- if anything, Naomi's loyalty to her had been stronger than ever, she
didn't even seem to consider Rider Raichi to be human anymore! And she
was such a wonderful lover in bed - already, she had shown Dark Emperor
sensations in bed that she did not think to be possible, despite her
life-long experience of being into the fairer sex.
And the way she was so into their shared goal, the feminization of the
entire planet - it was more than she could have ever hoped for! In all
honesty, Dark Emperor would have been fine with her taking a backseat in
their plans, more intent in helping the goals move along rather than to
come up with ideas herself, and yet here she had been present in her
life for less than a week, and already she came up with plans on what to
do after Rider Raichi had been disposed of! Ah, it almost made her
wonder what she did to deserve a wife as wonderful as Naomi - but then
again, she knew just what she did exactly, in no uncertain terms, for
she helped bring Naomi into existence in the first place.
... perhaps it would be suitable to give her wife the service of a loyal
little maid as an engagement gift. Naomi deserved it - she was the best
evil wife an empress could possibly wish for. And Thoughtfreeze did
amazing work - surely, putting yet another job into her capable hands
would not be an issue at all...
