Previously on MAU - Slayers...
Jordan and Laura were two friends who used the MAU to become Faith and
Buffy from the television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They began
to work for the Agency, a group who searches for active MAUs and the
people who use them. A man in the higher ranks of the Agency now wants
the slayers as part of his plan. They are now on the run from the
Agency and trying to help any user they find. Little do they know, that
these users are being hunted by the Agency now. Guided by a dream, the
Slayers headed to Washington where they believe they can find an active
MAU.

"Come on you have to see this thing," John said as his friends Craig and
Robbie followed him.
"If this is more of that Rule 34 stuff, I don't care," Robbie said.
"No, this is way better than porn."
Craig looked over to Robbie. "Believe me, I saw it. This is worth it."
John opened his locker and pulled out a briefcase.
Robbie stared at it. "So. What's in it?"
"Just meet me after school. I'll explain everything."
The three boys did not notice the brunette girl watching them from down
the hall.

A few hours earlier...
"I can't believe I'm doing this," Faith said as she put on the uniform.
Buffy was right, it wasn't exactly the kind of outfit that porn had made
it out to be. The skirt was long and the blouse was loose. Her only
real complaint was that it wasn't very comfortable.
"Don't be such a baby, you're just scared that you might like it," Buffy
said. She was already dressed. "Now hurry up, I need to help you with
your make-up."
"I already wear make-up." Faith wasn't lying, she did wear a small
amount of make-up. She told herself that it was keep from standing out.
Although it was likely caused by having the character of Faith's
personality imprinted onto her mind.
"Yes, but we're trying to fit in so no one will notice us. You have too
much eye shadow for that."
"Fine. So what are we doing? Splitting up or working together?"
"Splitting up will work better, plus maybe we won't stick out as much."
"We just better hope this isn't one of those schools with security
guards and metal detectors."
Buffy wasn't even paying attention to her, "You know. I should probably
do something to your hair."
"What?"
"Come on, you look like Eliza Dushku. I went by the kid's room, he's a
geek. He might recognize your face."
"I guess so, but a part of me is just convinced this is some wild plan
to give me a makeover."
"Maybe a little, but I'm doing the same thing."
Faith rolled her eyes, "So what do you want me to do?"
"Maybe pigtails, a little makeup. You'll probably look a little
younger."
"Just get it over with."

Faith could clearly see the MAU. She looked around to see if Buffy was
nearby, but she wasn't around. She thought to herself, 'Okay. How are
you doing to do? Maybe I should just act like the new girl and trick
them into giving it to me. That could work. I hope it works.' She
waited for a few moments and wandered over to them, "Hi. I'm new here,
can you tell me where the office is? I didn't get a schedule and I need
to find my classes."
The boys looked at her, Faith could tell they were undressing her in
their minds. Still she kept a smile on her face. John smiled at her
and put his arm around her, "I'll show you the way. Sorry I didn't
catch your name."
Faith tried to think of a name quickly, "It's Karen."
"Well Karen, let me show you the way."
Faith could barely stand the kid's cheesy act, but she kept smiling.
She noticed that John had drawn a Star Fleet badge on his notebook, an
idea instantly popped into her head. "Hey, you like Star Trek?"
"What?"
"I noticed you drew the insignia on your notebook. I just love Star
Trek." She could tell John was a little taken back by this.
"Just the new movie or more?"
"Well I liked the new movie, but Wrath of Khan was my favorite. I cry
every single time when Spock dies. I just loved the entire Original
Series." She knew she had him hooked now.
"Say, would you like to sit with me at lunch today? I could show you
around more."
"That would be great." She saw that they had reached the Office, "Is
this it?"
"Yeah."
"Thanks," she kissed him on the check. "I guess I'll see you at lunch."
The boy was completely stunned now, "Sure." He walked off in a daze.
Faith wandered off and found Buffy, "I am the greatest actress in the
world B. I have him wrapped around my finger."
"What did you do?"
"Told him about how much I liked Star Trek."
"You are such a dork."
"Geek and the one thing that all geek guys want is a geek girl. I just
became that boy's fantasy." She paused for a second, "I just thought
about that for a second, eww."
"To be fair, there are probably a lot of guys to have fantasies about
the woman with your face and body."
"I know, but I keep that out of my head."
"Consider it a small price to pay if we get the device."
"Still, I really rock at this seduction stuff."
"See, you're learning. Now let's go hide before someone figures out
that we're not really students. I really don't want to sit in a
Principal's Office all day or go to jail."

Faith and Buffy hid in the girl's restroom most of the morning. It was
a decent sized school, but no one bothered them while they hid. A few
girls came into the restroom, but they didn't seem to notice them.
Finally it was the lunch break and Faith was able to sneak into the
lunchroom and find John and his friends. John introduced Karen to his
friends. They were pretty nice to her, but seemed to be avoiding her a
little. She assumed that John must have warned them that he wanted her.
"So is there anything do around town? I haven't had much time to check
it out," Faith asked.
"Not really, we were going to hang out at John's place today. His
parents are out of town and he wanted to show us something," Robbie said
as he played with his food.
John shot him an angry glance.
Faith acted excited, "What is it? Can I see it?"
John looked at her, "It's nothing."
"Please." Faith rubbed her hand up and down the inside of his thigh
under the table. "Can't I see it?"
John wasn't used to this kind of attention from a girl, so he wasn't
thinking clearly. "Sure, just meet me in front after school."
"Cool. I'll see you then."
Craig looked up from his plate, "So John told us you're a big Trekker."
"Please, Roddenberry said the proper term was Trekkie. I don't care how
bad those documentaries made us look, I still go by it."
"Whatever, who was your favorite Captain?"
"Kirk, always. Nothing against the others, but Kirk always ruled."
"Come on, Picard was better."
"Yeah, if you wanted to discuss the problem. Kirk got results. Hell he
beat a genetically engineered superman with his bare hands, I love that.
Picard would have made him tea."
Faith talked with the boys for a few more minutes before the bell rang.
She immediately tracked down Buffy and the two found a decent place to
hide for the next few hours. It was an old school bus parked behind the
school. It looked like it had been there for a while, so it seemed like
a safe place to hide.
"So, how did it go?" Buffy asked.
"Good, I have him wrapped around my finger. He's taking me to his house
to see the device."
"That's my girl."
"You haven't called S yet, have you?"
"I wasn't waiting to see if you closed the deal," she pulled out her
phone. "Want to do the honors?"
Faith took the phone and dialed the phone number that S had sent them.

Agent S was driving, while Agent R was drifting in and out of sleep. He
snapped up as a loud ringtone went off. S reached into his pocket and
pulled out the phone, "Answer this will you? I hate talking on these
things while driving."
R took the phone and pressed the send button, "Hello."
"R? It's me."
"Faith?"
"Yeah, long time huh?"
He laughed, "Yeah. So why did you call? We're only supposed to use
this phone for something big."
"We found an active device. I'm getting it in a few hours, how soon can
you two get to Washington?"
"Actually we're headed there now." He pulled out the report he had been
given earlier, "Some town called Van Dymas. People report seeing some
kids flying up trees. You aren't nearby are you?"
"That's where we are. Why did they send you?"
"No clue, Agents are being sent out all over. We're supposed to bring
back any users for testing."
"Isn't that what we always do?"
"It is, but I've never seen anything on this scale."
"So how long do you think it will be before you get here?"
"It will be nighttime. I'll call you when we get there."
"Okay." Faith started to tell him something but stopped herself.
"I'll see you soon, bye."
"Bye."

Faith pressed the end call button. "They're already on their way.
Should be here tonight."
"Let me guess, our shiny friends from last night?"
"Yeah." Faith laid back on the bus bench, covering her eyes with her
arm.
"You okay?"
"I'm fine B."
"Come on, actually talk to me. You keep pulling this fake macho crap.
I know when something is eating you up inside, so drop the bullshit and
talk to me."
"Fine." She sat up, "I'm scared B."
"Why? We're about to get an active device. We could change back."
"I think I'd rather stay this way."
"What the hell are you even talking about? You've done nothing but
complain about all the girl stuff."
"Only the clothes. I can live with the rest of it."
"It's R isn't it."
"Yeah. I think I love him. It's crazy, but I'd stay this way to be
with him."
"Have you even told him that?"
"No."
"You sure about this? I mean this is it. Absolutely no going back."
"I am, I can deal with the periods, the way guys treat me, the way my
bra causes me to sweat, and all that other stuff. Half the planet does
fine, why not me?"
"I'm glad you're finally accepting this, but I'm just a little worried
that you aren't thinking this through. I've known you too long, you
change your mind like I change shoes."
"I've been thinking about it for months. I know what I want B. I'm
half crazy, but I know this. Besides how could I ever go back? We've
been over this before, the old me is dead. Faith is all that is left.
I'm making the best of a bad situation. I don't want to stop you
though, change back if you want."
"And give up all this fun, besides someone needs to watch your back.
I've lost count of all the times I've saved your ass."

When the time came, Faith met up with John and his friends. They took
her back to John's house. When they reached his bedroom, John pulled
out the MAU and sat in the only chair in the room. He looked over at
Faith. "Take a seat. I want to show you how this works," he said as he
patted his lap.
Faith was disgusted by the little creep, but she played along and sat on
his lap. She could tell he was excited by it, but she pushed that out
of her mind. 'Just play along and then get the device, then you can
hurt him,' she thought.
John looked over at Craig, "Show them how it works."
Craig walked over to the device and took it from the smaller carrier
mode to the full size mode. Faith pretended to be shocked by it. Craig
then pressed the crystal and walked into it, moments later a massive
Klingon walked out. Faith pretended to be stunned by this, "Oh my God.
How is that possible? Is it a trick?"
John just laughed and rubbed her leg, reaching slightly up her skirt.
"Oh, its real. Pick a Trek character and I'll turn into him for you."
For a moment Faith wanted to suggest a female character, but she had to
play along with this. She whispered the name Kirk into his ear. He
walked over and moments later he was Captain James T. Kirk as he
appeared on the original Star Trek series. He walked over to Faith.
"So, what do you think?" he asked.
Faith immediately realized he was speaking exactly like William Shatner
would in the role and tried to keep from laughing, "Its great."
"Want to try it? You can become anyone."
"Not right now, I'm a little bit scared of it."
"You'll be fine. Come on."
"I thought you liked me just like this?" She then kissed him just to
shut him up. 'So I'm kissing Captain Kirk,' she thought. 'Fuck, my
life just keeps getting weirder.' She didn't even notice Robbie walking
over to the device and using it, he walked out a moment later as the
recent movie version of James T. Kirk.
John practically dropped Faith and walked over to him, "What the hell is
with that?"
"Hey, I liked the new movie. Besides I don't remember you being able to
tell me what I could and could do."
"But the movie isn't even really canon."
"We've been over this a thousand times, it's a new timeline. But it is
branched off from the original timeline. The original Spock came back
to it and they even mentioned Enterprise, I'm telling you it's canon."
"I'm telling you it isn't, the 1701 Enterprise is too different. Plus
it is twice as big."
"There is a reason for it, I'll look it up and prove it to you." He sat
down on the computer and found a webpage explaining what he had said.
"See, they took scans of Nero's ship. Those scans of 24th Century
technology caused a jump in development."
John read the page, but still wasn't happy. "You know, we should look
up this thing. See what we can find."
Robbie looked up at him, "Google search for weird transformation box?
All we'll find is porn." Still Robbie searched for it. "See, I told
you nothing but porn." Before he could close the window, the results
page immediately went to another site. It appeared to be completely
blank except for a text box. A dialog box opened explaining that the
webcam had been activated.
"What the hell is going on?" John asked.
Craig walked over, "Maybe a virus or something? You never update your
software, I've warned you a thousand times about that."
Faith really wasn't paying attention to them, she was looking the
device. 'Looks a little different,' she thought. 'But I can't put my
finger on it, maybe a little sleeker.'
Text appeared on the screen, :Judging from your appearances, I will
assume that you used an odd device that you just happened to find. Is
the device is active?:
John pushed Robbie out of the way and typed, :Who are you?:
:Just a friend. You can call me Danni.:
:OK Danni, what is that thing?:
:Go to the following location, I'll have someone explain it all to you.
Your lives may be in danger.: Another window opened and a map to a
playground opened.
:How do we know to trust you?:
:Because I'm trying to save you.: The window then closed.
John looked at the others, "What was that all about?"
"Maybe some sort of viral game?" Robbie wondered out loud.
"A viral game that turns you into other people?" Craig asked.
"A really cool viral game," Robbie added
"We could go check it out," John said. "We should be able to take on
anyone there." He looked over at Faith, "Want to come along babe?"
Faith snapped her head up, "Sure. But let me call my Mom, she'll wonder
where I am."
"Whatever," John said as he sent to shrink the device to the carrier
mode.
Faith walked out of the room and called Buffy, "B. We have a
situation."
"Let me guess, the kid wants to go to third base with you."
"Ha ha," Faith said sarcastically. "They're taking the device to some
park, someone is meeting them there."
"Who? The Agency doesn't do that."
"I don't know, just meet me at that park we saw last night."

Faith rode with the boys to the park, the sun was about to set. When
they arrived, John grabbed the device and got out of the car. Faith ran
up to him, "Mind if I hold it?"
"I don't know, it might be too heavy for you."
"Please."
"Okay," he said as he handed it to her.
Faith took the MAU and slammed him in the chest with it, "That's for
trying to feel me up." She immediately started running. Craig started
running after, his new Klingon body made him a lot faster than a human.
"You might want to give that back little girl," he bellowed as he caught
up with her. He grabbed her and picked her up. Faith managed to kick
him in the chest, stunning him long enough for her to slip loose.
Robbie ran over to them, followed by John. Robbie tried to grab Faith
from behind, but he got punched by Buffy who had just showed up.
"Glad you could make it, I thought I was going to have to this alone,"
Faith said as she hit Craig with the MAU. He knocked it out of her
hands, it landed and expanded to its full size mode.
"I told you somebody has to keep you in line," Buffy said as she kicked
Robbie. A van pulled up nearby.
"That would be their internet friends," Faith said.
John had tried to run off, but Buffy caught him. "Not so fast, we need
you to stick around for a while."
Craig picked up Faith and slammed her into a tree, then held her up.
"Why are you even doing this?"
"I need the box," she said as she spit out a bit of blood.
"We saw it first bitch," he threw her and she slammed into the MAU, her
hand hitting the crystal. Her image appeared on the screen, alien text
appeared under it. Craig walked over and picked her up by the neck, he
repeated slammed her into the device. As she hit, her hand touched
several icons on a panel, causing more text to appear. The image on the
screen began to change. Finally she kicked him hard in the groin, hard
enough that it hurt her foot. He stumbled back and fell down. John and
Robbie grabbed their friend and managed to drag him to the van, which
immediately took off.
Faith gasped for air and staggered over to him, "I guess the bigger they
are, the harder they do fall." She looked around, Buffy was running
over. "Hey, you missed my cheesy CSI: Miami line."
"Remind me to buy you some sunglasses so you can take them off mid-
sentence."
Faith leaned by on the device, her back touching the crystal. The
device began to make a noise, Faith turned around as Buffy joined her.
The door opened and Jordan walked out. He looked at himself, not
noticing the Slayers, "Hey Laura. It didn't work this time..." His
voice trailed off as he looked at the two Slayers. "What?"
Faith walked up to him and touched him as if he was some optical
illusion, her fingers just pushed him. He was real, "What?" she said in
total confusion. She looked back at Buffy, she appeared to be
absolutely stunned.
Jordan and Faith both stared at each other again and said in unison,
"What the fuck is going on?"
