Altered Fates "... to heal a soul " by Olivia Evans James watched Karen Short, the cute blonde who lived next door, through her bedroom window. He had been climbing the tree next to her window to retrieve a crashed kite belonging to the young kid across the street when he noticed the young teenager standing in front of her dresser. What on earth was she doing? James thought. Karen slipped a medallion over her head. Reaching into a plastic bag she pulled a bra out and carefully checked the size label. Rejecting the bra for some mysterious reason, she selected another bra from the bag. This time it was apparently to her liking, for she tossed it on the bed and closed up the bag and hid it under her bed. James expected her to take the T-shirt she was wearing off and put the bra on. Instead she touched the bra to the cheap looking medallion she wore around her neck. She held it there for a second then tossed the bra on the bed again. Smiling, she sat down beside it as if she were waiting for something. Curiouser and curiouser, James thought. He watched for a few minutes baffled. When he finally saw what Karen had been waiting for he almost fell out of the tree. It was subtle, but he could actually see her breast increase in size. Smiling broadly, Karen pulled her T-shirt off and cupped her breasts in her hands. James had seen Karen do this before, but never had her hands been so... well, full! James faintly heard Karen's mother calling her. Looking startled, Karen quickly slipped the new bra on, then pulled her T-shirt over her head. She started to leave her room, then hesitated. She went back to her bed and picked up the medallion. She looked around the room obviously trying to decide where to hide it. James heard Karen's mother call her name again, this time a little more insistent. Panicked, Karen slid open her window an inch, then slipped the medallion on the ledge just out side her window. She grabbed a travel bag and hurried down stairs. A few minutes later, Karen and her parents drove off. They would be gone for three weeks. -0-0-0- Nursing a bad scratch on his arm where he had scraped it on the tree when he had fallen after retrieving the medallion from the window ledge, James studied the mysterious object. What a piece of junk, James thought as he turned it over in his hands. Made of brass, or maybe just brass plated, it had a picture of an angel on the front. He slipped the tarnished brass chain over his head cautiously. What is this thing? he wondered. He had watched Karen touch a piece of clothing to the medallion and then her boobs got bigger. Could this humble looking thing be the fabled Medallion of Zulo? Shaking his head, James didn't think so, but yet he had seen the change in Karen with his own eyes. All she did was touch a bra against it and then..... the impossible happened. Would it work a second time? James rose and walked to his daughter Jennifer's bedroom. Opening the door, he hesitated for a moment then stepped inside. Except for a thin coating of dust on the furniture, nothing had been changed since she'd married and moved away with her new husband ten years ago. I really should clean this place up, James thought. He dismissed it from his mind. He opened one of the dresser drawers. It was empty as were the other four. Vaguely disappointed, he searched the closet. It too was empty, or almost. Back in a corner behind some abandoned shoe boxes was a cheerleader's skirt Jennifer had worn when she was in the eighth grade, the year her mother had died. That was nearly seventeen years ago, James realized with a mild shock. James returned to the bed and sat down. He slowly brought the skirt up to the medallion, then hesitated. He looked at the skirt for a moment then angrily threw it across the room. What in God's name was he doing? What if the changes were permanent? What if he couldn't become normal again. He had no desire to spend the rest of his life as a 14 year old girl, or an adult woman if he was stuck as a girl and had to mature normally! No, changing into Jennifer, no matter what age was out of the question! But his curiosity was eating at him almost as much as the ulcer in his stomach. He knew that he would eventually try the medallion. He decided to progress slowly, experiment a little before he did anything truly radical. But how? He remembered a little of the legend of the medallion. Something about it being able to make small changes, as well as complete. Small changes? Of course, if you removed the medallion in the middle of a change, the change would stop at that point. James decided that if the change was small enough, no one would notice the difference if he couldn't change back. But what? He thought a moment, then gently slapped his rotund stomach, laughing to himself. He could stand to lose a few, actually more than a few, inches around the waist. It was perfect. He had just the garment to do it too. A few minutes later, James was holding up a pair of jeans he hadn't been able to wear in years. Should have thrown these out long ago, he thought. About the same time I should have started cleaning Jennifer's room up, he thought ruefully. He touched the jeans to the medallion. A few minutes later he felt a tingling in his waist and legs. Stripping off his trousers and undershorts, James pulled the jeans up as far as they would go. He waited a moment, then tugged them up a little further as his lower body transformed itself. He waited a moment longer then easily buttoned and zipped the jeans up. Perfect! He quickly removed the medallion from around his neck having no wish to proceed further, at least not yet. The slight tingling suddenly stopped. Checking himself out in the full length mirror in Jennifer's room, James was pleased with his "new" waistline. He had gone from a "40" to a "32" in far less time than it had taken to get there in the first place. As he inspected his body, he wondered why he hadn't taken better care of himself since Niki died. No matter, he could have any build he wanted, as long as the medallion was in his possession. But still, he was nervous about the ability to change back. He knew there was supposed to be some sort of time limit between changes, but couldn't remember how long. The only way to find out, was to test the medallion every hour or so. -0-0-0- Twelve hours, James thought as he began to feel the now familiar tingling. Confident that he could change back when ever he wanted, he decided that his next transformation would be more radical than the first. He searched the basement for old clothing, not looking for anything specific, just seeing if he could find any of his old clothing, the older the better. He wanted to be young again, without an ulcer, or any of the other ills that he seemed to attract like a magnet in his 60 years. He discovered a previously unknown idiosyncrasy Niki apparently had. She was a pack rat, at least as far as clothing was concerned. Tucked away in a dark corner were dozens of boxes, each neatly labeled with either Niki's name or Jennifer's and the date the box was packed. The earliest date was when Jennifer was about four and last date marked was only three weeks before Niki had died. James opened the box on top and pulled the garments out one by one. There wasn't much, a few sweaters, a couple of pair of shoes, a pair of silky soft black dress slacks, all garments that Niki had considered either her favorites, or had some sort of sentimental value. James pick up one of the sweaters. He caught a faint hint of Niki's perfume. Holding the sweater to his face, he breathed deeply, trying to catch more of the scent. "Oh, God, Niki, I miss you so," he whispered. When he put the sweater back into the box a few minutes later, he realized that he was crying. Something he hadn't done since the funeral. He carefully repackaged the boxes he had opened and started back up stairs, feeling more depressed than he had in years. Just as he reached the top step, the telephone rang. He debated a fraction of a second, then answered it. There had been an accident, the woman's voice on the phone had said. You'd better come quickly, we don't know if Jennifer will survive the night. -0-0-0- For the second time that day, James found himself crying as he looked at the heavily bandaged figure laying in the bed. The car crash that had killed Jennifer's husband Bill, had horribly mutilated and disfigured his only daughter. James looked at the life support equipment that was keeping his only living relative alive at the moment. What kind of life could Jennifer expect to live now, if she survived the next few days? James imagined years of pain and the humiliation of disfigurement and shuddered. It would be so merciful to just pull the plug. He was still staring at the plug on the life support system when the night nurse came into the room and told him that he had to leave. He nodded then reached out to grasp his daughter's hand, to give it a reassuring squeeze, just to let her know he had been there. He was horrified to realize Jennifer's arm ended just below her elbow, yet immensely grateful that he hadn't lost his daughter in the automobile accident as he had his beautiful wife years earlier. -0-0-0- He visited Jennifer every day for the next five days, praying each time that she would be gone the next time. But that was not to be the case. On the sixth day, the nurse had good, or relatively good, news. Jennifer had come out of her coma, and was asking for him. The recuperative ability of the body, even one as badly torn up as Jennifer's is an amazing thing. Every day that passed, she grew stronger, until finally the day arrived that she could go home. She had spent nearly three weeks in the hospital. James had prepared for this eventuality. He had cleaned up Jennifer's old room, even to the point of using a bottle of furniture polish to bring back to life the old sheen of the bedroom furniture. It was only when he had completed his preparations, did he realize that Jennifer could not navigate the stairs to her upstairs bedroom. Hastily, he converted the formal dinning room to a makeshift bedroom. James had mixed feelings about bringing Jennifer home. They both knew that her rehabilitation would be long hard and heartbreaking. After all, you don't go from a strong healthy person to an invalid overnight without major adjustment problems. Although Jennifer was healing nicely and never complained, James could see the pain in her eyes every time she moved. Although he had never seriously considered pulling the plug, he sometimes wished that he had for her sake. -0-0-0- It was two months after Jennifer had come home when James remembered the Medallion of Zulo. Understandably, he had forgotten its existence while concentrating on helping Jennifer. Could the medallion help his invalid daughter in some way? James didn't know. He decided to talk to Jennifer about it. -0-0-0- At first, Jennifer was angry, then concerned, thinking her poor old father had gone over the bend because of her. She expressed her feelings, making James a little annoyed that his very daughter thought he was either crazy or lying or both. The only way he could prove what he had told her was to actually show her. Jennifer watched expressionless as James put the medallion on then touched his old jeans to it. Her expression changed from disbelief then acceptance when his body grew slimmer. And it's permanent? she had asked. Reassured that it was, Jennifer quickly agreed to try it. By now she was desperate to do anything to rid herself of the constant pain of her body -0-0-0- There was a problem. Nothing insurmountable, but a problem just the same. Except for the few garments James had bought Jennifer, (hers had been destroyed in the fire following the accident), she was without clothing. They could have traveled the 400 miles to her home, but it was too far to risk taking Jennifer. James did not think his frail daughter could make the trip. James knew that he could use new clothing, something she had never worn, but wasn't sure that it would result in a physical change that would leave him without the Jennifer that he knew and loved. Jennifer, who by now understood what was needed, came up with the suggestion. Why not use some of her old clothing her mother had packed away in the basement. James was surprised. He had naturally assumed that Jennifer would want to restore her body to the pre-accident condition. Why? Jennifer had asked as she laughed bitterly. Her next comments shocked James. She confessed that she had made a mistake in her marriage, had been on the verge of asking for a divorce. In the ten years of her marriage, she had grown bitter and resentful towards both her husband and herself. She didn't really care for the person she had become. If the medallion had the power to change someone physically, why not change other things such as her age as well and give her a new chance at life? In what way? James asked. I want to be young again, was her simple answer. Go through puberty again? Well, maybe not that young, she had laughed. It was the first time she had laughed since the accident and it gladdened James' heart. Against his better judgment, he agreed. How old? he asked. Past puberty at least, Jennifer said soberly. She might consider 12 or thirteen, but nothing less than that. Both realized that she would have to go back to school. Maybe I'll actually learn something this time, she said, laughing. But before she could return to school, even before she could change, James would have to do some shopping. While the boxes in the basement held a surprising amount of clothing, none would make up an outfit suitable for every day wear. He would have to guess about some of the sizes, but only a few. After all if you wore a size 5, then most of your body measurements fell within a certain range. James spent nearly five hundred dollars, much to the delight of the sales personnel. -0-0-0- You're sure about this?, the unspoken question in his eyes as he held up a garment retrieved from the boxes in the basement. Jennifer nodded. James touched the garment to the medallion, then stepped back to watch in awe. As Jennifer's age regressed nearly twenty years to her target age of 12, her body became whole again. The dark vale of unspoken pain in her eyes suddenly disappeared as her body shrunk five, then six inches in height. Her body weight dropped almost as quickly as her apparent age. Jennifer carefully removed the medallion, then with wild abandoned, ripped the hospital gown from her body. Heedless of her nudity, Jennifer spun around like a top and danced across the room to the full length mirror on the closet door. Jennifer's body was boyishly slim, yet the beginnings of the figure she would, had, grown into was beginning to show itself. James watched with embarrassed amusement. Finally tiring of her inspection, Jennifer shyly covered herself up with her discarded hospital gown. The adult sized garment fell well below her knees. Never really large even at her adult height of five two, James had forgotten how tiny Jennifer had been at that age. He watched as Jennifer half walked half ran to her bedroom, where her new clothing awaited her. James, suddenly feeling his age, followed up the stairs more slowly. He paused in the doorway, watching his young daughter as she tore open packages of girl's underwear. When she had pulled a pair of panties and a undervest like garment, he entered the room and sat on the bed. Moments later, Jennifer was dressed in what had been her favorite outfit, jeans and T-shirt, when she had been at that age. She started to run out of her bedroom, then paused for a moment. Returning to her father, she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. Grinning like a Cheshire cat, Jennifer turned and ran out of the room. It was all the thanks he needed. -0-0-0- After dinner, they sat down to talk, to plan what needed to be done next. Since Jennifer could no longer lead the life she had only a few months earlier, it was decided that they would travel to her home, and sell it. Once her husband's estate was settled, they would return home. She would be James' orphaned granddaughter. A lie that was close enough to the truth to be believable. The plan had a minor hitch. Jennifer could not return to her home as she was and certainly not as she had been. With a great deal of reluctance on James' part, it was decided that they would use the medallion again, not to heal as before, but to conceal. Together they went back to the department store to pick out the clothing they would need. -0-0-0-0- James looked out of the corner of his eye at the tall, lanky young man sprawled in the seat beside him. Jennifer would have made a handsome man, he thought, had she been born one. She looked as though she was enjoying the sensation of being much taller than she had in real life. James chuckled, bring a questioning smile to the young man. James shook his head, lost in thought. Jennifer's lawyer was waiting for them as they pulled up in front of his office. After a few pleasantries, they went in side and began the long process of disposing of the property. Leaving the paperwork jungle to the lawyer, James and the male Jennifer said they wanted to go to the house. -0-0-0- James was astonished to see the size of the home Jennifer had indicated had been hers. He had known that her husband was successful, but he had no idea how much so. The place was huge. Jennifer went into the den to open the safe, while James wandered around the house. When he returned to the den, Jennifer had opened the safe and had removed the valuables. -0-0-0- Neither wanted to stay in the house that night, Jennifer because of the "ghosts" and James because Jennifer didn't want to. James was tired from the drive, Jennifer being young, decided that she wanted to go out, visit a few places she and Bill had liked. Be careful, James had warned. Jennifer had laughed, waving a hand in front of her slender male body. What could happen?, she smiled. When she returned the following morning, she was quiet but had clearly enjoyed herself. James was curious, but knew better than to ask what had happened when he discovered lipstick stains on the collar of Jennifer's shirt. -0-0-0- They worked late the next night, separating what would be sold with the house, mostly the furniture, what would be sold in an "estate sale" scheduled the following weekend and what Jennifer would take back with her. James was astonished to see Jennifer include all of her old clothing in the estate sale items. Jennifer smiled and asked do I look like I could wear any of these things? when James' raised an eyebrow in question. He shook his head in amusement when Jennifer offered him his choice of the discarded clothing. He repeated her previous statement. The following day, the elderly couple they had hired to run the sale for them showed up. After introductions, they began pricing the items that were to be sold. Some items were marked with prices so high that even Jennifer was surprised, and she knew what most of them had cost originally. It trick was to let the customers "dicker" over the price of the really good stuff. That way, the male half of the had team said, everyone comes out a winner. You get most of the true value of the item and the buyer gets a "bargain" Besides, he added with a wink, it makes our commission larger as well. Realizing that the sale was in good hands, James and the male Jennifer decided that it was time to return home. -0-0-0- Even though it was dark when they returned home, James drove the car into the garage and closed the door before Jennifer got out. They hadn't though there would be any problems, but they didn't want to have to answer any awkward questions either. James went to bed while Jennifer finished unloading the car. It had been a long two days. An hour after she had finished unloading the car, Jennifer slipped the medallion over her head and touched a nightgown she had worn the night she became 12. By the time she could put the nightgown on, she was yawning and half a sleep. During the night, both father and daughter had strange dreams. Neither spoke of them when they finally rose the next morning. -0-0-0- Several months had passed, the sale of the estate had gone through and for all practical purposes, the old Jennifer was buried along with her late husband. The younger version of Jennifer had been enrolled in the eighth grade at the same school she had attended many years before. This time the subjects she took were more in the direction of college prep. Her old teachers would have been astonished if they had realized the attractive young girl was the same person who had taken fluff courses before. By the time Jennifer had entered into her Junior year in high school, she was known as a serious student, bound for college. She hadn't really decided what she wanted to do with her new life, only that she would be successful in her own right, and not have to depend upon a husband for her identity. She kept her dating to the minimum, although she was not without any number of boy friends. She had no desire to get caught in the trap she had found herself years earlier. There would be plenty of time for a husband and family later. James had retired and sold his business. Financially, neither would have to work another day in their lives. Jennifer grew increasingly concerned about her aging father. No longer working, he seemed to lose interest in most of the activities he had enjoyed. He was aging visually before her very eyes. She decided that he needed a vacation, a real vacation. She began to plan it with the same intensity that she used when studying. -0-0-0- Jennifer was excited. This was the morning of her father's vacation she had so carefully prepared for him. Excited, she could hardly wait until he woke up so she could tell him. Of course, some of it he would see, and feel the instant he did awake. James awoke slowly from his slumber. He felt strangely rested, with none of the familiar aches that usually accompanied his sleep. He sat up and swung his feet over the side of the bed. Standing, he became slightly disorientated. Everything seemed slightly wrong, his bed, the room, even the bed. Giving in to the sudden urge to stretch, James felt the sensation of his pajama top sliding across his breasts. What in the world, his stunned mind asked, as his pajama bottoms fell to the floor on their own accord. Breasts? He stripped off his pajama top and stared down at the two well shaped breasts on his chest. His eyes traveled down the front of his naked body to his groin. A groin that was no longer his own, but a woman's. Jennifer is behind this, he realized. Some time during the night, she had put the Medallion of Zulo on him and had changed him in to a woman for some reason. He wasn't concerned, at most, he would have to spend 12 hours like this, then he could return to normal. Still, it was annoying to have her change him like this. A joke was one thing, but she should have asked him before if he wanted to try being a woman. He walked to his bathroom curious to see what he looked like. Nicole! His daughter had changed him into an early version of his late wife. Not more than twenty five or so, James realized as he inspected his features and petite body. But why? What was the point of all this? He returned to the bedroom and discovered a small pile of obviously new clothing he hadn't notice before. Jennifer had planned this well, he thought as he put the new clothing on. Jennifer studied her transformed father as he came into the kitchen. He, she was beautiful, more so than she remembered. The clothing she had purchased fit him perfectly. She giggled as she visualized him putting on his new clothes. The bra must have been a real challenge, she thought. You look nice in those jeans and top, Jennifer said. James frowned and sat down at the kitchen table. Why Nicole? he asked, why not some other woman, if you wanted me to be a girl? Because, Jennifer explained softly, you needed a vacation and I miss mom. James nodded his understanding. He could feel no anger toward his daughter, for he did need a vacation, although seeing his beloved again, even from the unique vantage point of being her, saddened him more than she could realize. Enjoy it while you can, he stated flatly, for in another 12 hours, I'll be me again. Jennifer nodded, angry with herself for not considering how her father would feel about being Niki. She turned away and busied herself preparing breakfast, not wanting her father to see the tears in her eyes. James ate his breakfast slowly. Every bite seemed to be a new taste sensation, which in a way they were. It was an oddly welcomed change from what his age dulled taste buds usually sensed. He looked around curiously. Everything seemed sharper, colors seemed more intense, even his sense of smell seemed to have improved. So this is how Niki saw and felt her world, he thought in wonder. As he ate his breakfast, although a considerably smaller quantify than he would have the day before, James began to grow more comfortable in Niki's body. Perhaps the next 12 hours might not be as hard to bare as he had originally thought. Jennifer watched her father intently, as he ate. He seemed to be more relaxed as a woman. Maybe she could convince him to remain a girl when they changed him from the image of her mother in to some other woman. If he agreed, he could take his vacation as a girl after all. She liked the idea of having an older sister for a couple of months. James finished his breakfast and took his dirty dishes to the sink. When he turned around, he saw Jennifer smiling at him. What? he had asked. Oh, I don't know, she replied, its just that you look so alive. A frown crossed her father's face. Wrong choice of words, she realized. Hastily rectifying the slip of her tongue, she restated her statement. What I meant was that you look like you're actually beginning to enjoy life again. James surprised himself by nodding his agreement and smiling back at his daughter. His smile suddenly changed to one of surprise. Without another word or even a glance at his daughter, he rushed from the kitchen. Startled, Jennifer quickly followed. She found her father in the bathroom, throwing up his breakfast. Daddy, she cried, what's wrong? James waited until he had finished the unpleasant task, rinsed out his mouth and wiped his face, before answering her question with one of his own. Jennifer, I need to know. When you made the decision to turn me into Niki, what did you do? Jennifer, bewildered, answered that she had gone through several picture albums, looking for the ideal version of her mother to use. She had actually selected several but couldn't find any clothing from around that date. So she had gone back further, to when her mother was twenty three, a little younger than Jennifer had really intended. How old, James asked sharply. Mom was twenty three when you two got married, wasn't she? Jennifer asked, not sure why she was suddenly feeling scared for her father. Yes, he responded. What did you use to change me? he asked, suddenly tired. A pair of Mom's panties that were in the box with her Wedding dress. Pretty racy too, Jennifer giggled. James sat down hard in the chair. Concerned, Jennifer sat beside her father, she laid her hand on his arm. Daddy, what's wrong, tell me please, she pleaded. James sighed. Do you remember the date your mother and I got married? he asked. Jennifer nodded. It had been a June wedding. And you were born when?, he asked prompting her. In January the following year, Jennifer replied. James looked at her expectantly She did some quick addition, but that's only eight months. She had never really thought about it before. Mom was pregnant? she asked. James nodded sadly. Right now, you, or what had been you, are about the size of a lima bean, right here, James said, pointing to an area just below his waist. He explained one of the negative sides of changes made by the Medallion of Zulo. Oh, my God, Jennifer exclaimed. What are we going to do now? Well, for starters, I think you should start calling me Mom, Jamie replied softly.

Altered Fates: The Things We Do For Friends part 1 of 5 By Morpheus I stood in the school bathroom with my half soapy hands underneath the water faucet, grimacing as I rinsed them off. His messy brown hair was in need of a cut and his nose still had blood dripping from it. "Shit."...

Altered Fates A Christmas Tale

ALTERED FATES: A CHRISTMAS TALE by BobH (c) 2012 Ed Geraghty sat down heavily on the changing room bench and sighed. He felt every minute of his fifty-six years, and then some. Any positive effect on his health of thirty five years pounding the streets delivering mail had been more than offset by the same number of years spent drinking hard liquor to excess. Not that this was an option open to him any more, given the precarious state of his liver. He was not a bad man, and had...

Altered Fates Auntie Em

I originally had no intention of making this an Altered Fates story. However, after my first two drafts turned out horrible, I decided to try a different angle with it. This is what resulted. Altered Fates: Auntie Em By Morpheus Corey winced as his foot went into the puddle of water, muttering "Damn" to himself. He was already completely soaked through from the heavy rain, which gave no sign of letting up. Shivering in his wet clothes, Corey really wished that he hadn't ...

Altered Fates Babysitting

I've had this story in mind for quite awhile, but the first time I started writing it, Eric came out with a very similar Altered Fates story called The Baby-sitter Caper first. Because of that I put this one on hold for awhile. Well here it finally is. I know that the ending leaves a lot that could be done afterwards, but I left off where I was on purpose. Perhaps I'll do a sequel, or perhaps I'll just leave the rest to the readers imagination. Altered Fates: Babysitting By...

Altered Fates What Friends Are For

Altered Fates : What Friends Are For! By Paul1954 Clare looked across at her children, Ginny aged 7 and Jack aged 10, and sighed. She returned her attentions to the mirror in the hallway and finished touching up her lipstick. Altered Fates: The After-Effect Written by Liam Slade Published originally on Fictionmania, to be reprinted with author's permission. http://www.liamslade.com *** For starters, let me tell you that I never felt different. Altered Fates The Mistakes of Others

Altered Fates - The Mistakes of Others By KathyB Learn from the mistakes of others; life is too short to make them all yourself. Chapter #1 Jim Collins was nothing if not methodical. Altered Fates Study In Childhood

Altered Fates 3rd Strike And Your Out

Following my debut story last week (Lord's Prayer), along with the feedback I've received (thanks Eric Bloodstone, Jennifer Adams, Mindy Rich and all the others) I have gotten the bug ! This is a spin-off story from Lord's Prayer which, I hope, wraps up this episode. If found that, although this started out at an even pace, it turned fairly dark about half way through as the story took on a life of it's own and reflected the mood I was in at the time. Hope that some still enjoy this...

Altered Fates Chimera Pt1

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 1 By Elliot Reid I stood at the window, peering out into the cold morning light. I waited a full five minutes, face squashed against the glass, feeling my nose get uncomfortably cool. The trees in the avenue were in full leaf and I couldn't see far down the street, however much I squinted. I saw a vehicle move. Was that my parents' SUV gliding back along the road? Nope, false alarm. I was paranoid my folks would return. It was known to happen. Mom...

Altered Fates Chimera Pt3

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 3 By Elliot Reid I slept fitfully that night, back at home in my own bed. I was exhausted from my lovemaking with Simone, who since her transformation had almost limitless demand for sex inside Ayesha's lithe body. But even though I felt sucked dry I was jazzed by the experience. I was on a high. It was late when I'd left Simone. My parents would raise Cain if I stayed out too long. But before I walked out the door we talked over Simone's plan to turn...

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 5 By Elliot Reid Jase and I were both victims of the Medallion of Zulo; something we discovered the first night we slept together. We became close after that. We weren't in love or anything, but I welcomed Jase's support, his understanding. He knew what it was like to have your life turned upside down by a change of sex, of identity. Altered Fates: Dennis (I know, its not the greatest name, but it works) By Morpheus ([email protected]) Walking home from work, I happened to look down, and saw a small brass colored medallion sitting in the gutter. Curiously, I pulled it out and held it up examining it. I noticed that there was a...

However, after I finished it I started thinking about a few other ideas I had for the main characters and decided to use them as well. Altered Fates Lyles Story

Lyle's Story by Grendel There are two sides to every story. Most of us would prefer to see the world in black and white, but the decisions we make are never as clear- cut as that. I know that I've made some enemies in my life, and perhaps with hindsight some of the pain that I've caused could have been avoided, but I've never deliberately acted with malice. I've just made some bad choices. I grew up in the shadow of my elder brother, Ken. He was the Golden Child, the...

Altered Fates: Child Star by Tim Willows It had become a nightly ritual: Barry would arrive home late, after an exhausting day of attending auditions. His wife Valerie, who also acted as his agent, would be sitting by the telephone. "Anything?" he'd ask her. "No, Barry," she'd say, "not today. Maybe tomorrow." He hadn't had an acting part in months, and whereas it used to surprise him when it turned out another day had passed without a job offer, he was starting to despair....
