ALTERED FATES: FLASHFORWARD by BobH (c) 2009 *** (This story is set in the world of the TV show Flashforward.) *** For 17 year-old Lacey Mikulski this was a hard time. She was trying her best to keep her mother's sprits up but her mother wasn't the only one hurting. "I miss her too, you know," she said softly. If her mother heard her she gave no sign as she turned their car off the highway, heading into an area of suburban streets that neither had ever visited before. "Are you sure this is the right way, Mom?" she asked. "Yes, don't worry Lace," replied her mother, "we'll get you there in plenty of time for the contest." Lacey enjoyed being a teen beauty queen but the abduction of her eighteen month-old baby sister nine weeks earlier had taught her there were far more important things in life. It had been a bitter lesson. For her mother, the thought of her baby somewhere being raised by strangers was almost more than she could bear, and throwing herself into her older daughter's beauty pageant circuit was, Lacey knew, a help in taking her mind off it. Left to her own thoughts, she might have gone mad. Lacey glanced over her shoulder at the bags on the back seat of the car. One contained her clothes for the pageant, another a bunch of junk jewellery she had scooped up at a crafts fair they had stopped at on the way over, and the third a pile of her sister's clothing, just in case they ever found Wendy. Though without a single lead to go on the police working the case had not held out much hope of that. Despite only being a year off forty, her mother was still hot, thought Lacey, but she had started to let herself go. With Dad dying and now the abduction, it was like she no longer cared about her appearance. She needed something to shake her out of this - they both did. Thet were approaching a T-junction, her mother slowing the car in order to make a turn, when it happened. She and Lacey simultaneously slumped forward, their minds suddenly somewhere else, and their now driverless car continued on across the junction and ploughed into the house opposite.... *** Martin Samms gave a moan of pleasure as his lover pinched the engorged nipple of his left breast, then moaned softly as the man slid the fingers of his other hand into Martin's wet pussy, expertly working his clitoris. "Don't stop," he whispered, looking up into the face of his lover, a man he had never laid eyes on before this moment, "please don't stop." Yet stop he did, but only in order to climb between Martin's legs and to maneuver his rock hard member into place over Martin's vagina. Martin eagerly responded by drawing his knees up to his shoulders, ready to receive his lover. "I love you, Susie," said the man, smiling down at him. "Ooh, I love you too, baby," said Martin, happily, and realised that this was true. He did love this stranger. He let out a small gasp as his lover suddenly entered him, his urgent, expertly judged thrusts soon bringing Martin to orgasm, the best he had ever known. It was ecstacy.... ....then Martin woke up. His head had fallen face-first into his keyboard, and as he lifted his bruised head from his desk he saw that he wasn't the only one who had blacked out. All around him his co-workers were coming to at their own desks, bewildered looks on their faces. Three guys from accounting who had been having a conversation next to the coffee machine just outside his cubicle and fallen in a heap cursed as they got back to their feet. What the hell had just happened to everyone, Martin wondered? As he regained his senses, Martin became aware of a sound from outside, the sound of what had to be most of the car alarms in the city going off together. "Oh my God!" said someone who had made it to the window and was now staring through it in horror, "Oh my dear God!" Their office block was next to the highway and from their vantage point on the seventh floor they could see it was a tangled mess of crashed cars for miles in both directions. Whatever was going on, a lot of people had died down there. As they gazed at the devastation they heard a loud boom, and several blocks away a fireball rose into the sky. "That was an airliner going down," said Martin, licking his lips, his mouth suddenly dry. "I think that means we weren't the only ones who blacked out." "Only it wasn't just a blackout, was it?" said his colleague Jeff, standing beside him. "I saw myself somewhere I didn't recognise, riding a rollercoaster with a woman who wasn't my wife. And I could tell we were in love." "I had a dream too," said Carly, one of the secretaries, who had come up behind them, "and in mine I was reading a newspaper." "That sounds pretty boring," said Martin. "Yes," said Carly. "But the date on the newspaper...it was six months from now." "What was the date?" asked someone else. "Only I saw myself watching the news on TV...and the date on the screen was also six months from now." They compared notes. It was the same date. "So what; we're saying we all had a vision of the future now, is that it?" said Jeff. "God, I hope not," said Martin. "Why?" asked Jeff, looking at him curiously. "What were you doing in your vision, Marty?" "I was having sex." "With Jenna?" "No, with...someone else." "So if what we saw was the future we're both gonna be cheating on our wives with other women?" said Jeff. "Man, that's weird." "I have to go," said Martin. "I have get home and make sure Jenna and the kids are alright." "You'll never get through all that," said Carly, indicating the carnage below. "I ride my bicycle to work, remember?" he replied. "The cycle path is one block from the office, and two blocks from home the other end. I'm probably one of the few who *can* get through all that." Ten minutes later Martin was cycling up the exit ramp from the building's underground parking garage. His ear buds were plugged into the small AM/FM radio clipped to the strap of his backpack and it was tuned to the local news station. All the way home he listened to the news as the first reports started coming in from other cities and then other countries. Just how big was this thing, anyway? But as vital as the news was, Martin found his mind kept drifting back to his vision. What worried him the most about it was how much it excited him. He was a straight, married man. Something like that should not be turning him on. It was almost a relief when, forty minutes after setting out from work, he turned off the cycleway and onto the familiar streets near his house. Another couple of minutes and he would be where he needed to be at this terrible time: back home with his wife and their children. *** "Think you can stop me, Samms?" said Jake Sciavo, challenging the other teenager. "Try me," said Kevin Samms, crouched in front of the basketball hoop fixed above his garage door and ready to spring into action. "You asked for it," said Jake, bouncing the ball twice on the ground before leaping up and lobbing it at the hoop. Kevin leapt a split second after his friend but he was too late. The ball dropped through the center of the hoop without touching the sides. "Told you," said Jake, grinning. "Ah nuts," said Kevin glancing up and spotting his annoying kid sister watching them from her bedroom window. He would have flipped her the bird had he and Jake not both suddenly slumped to the ground at that exact moment. Not that Kevin was aware this had happened. From his point of view he was glaring at his sister one moment.... ....and the next he was sitting down on his ass, surrounded by huge wooden bars. It took him a moment to realise he was in a baby's playpen, soft toys all around him, and it wasn't the bars that were big but him who was small. It took him another moment to realise not only was he sucking a pacifier but it was comforting him. He was a baby, and from the pink dress he was wearing, a baby girl. He felt no surprise at his situation only an odd sort of resignation, as if he had finally accepted this was who he was now and had decided to make the best of things. On the nursery wall opposite the playpen was a flatscreen TV, the sort that incorporated a DVD player. What was playing on the screen was the old Teletubbies show, and Kevin was surprised to find himself watching it with interest. Then the door opened. She stood there in the doorway for a moment, one of the most gorgeous girls Kevin had ever seen, taking a final drag from her cigarette before stubbing it out in an ashtray outside the nursery. She had long blonde hair, and was wearing a very low cut red knit mini-dress that hugged her beauty queen curves and displayed her impressive cleavage to awesome effect. Three inch heels, sheer silk stockings, and a designer purse slung over her shoulder - all black - completed her ensemble. "Hello, sweetie," she said coming over and lifting Kevin out of the playpen. "How's my pretty little baby sister?" Kevin understood intellectually that he was now a baby but it still felt as if he'd been picked up by a giantess and hoisted high in the air. He gazed into her beautiful face, admiring her perfectly applied make-up, as she leaned in and kissed him gently on the forehead, leaving some lipstick there, then gave him a dazzling smile. Who was this girl and who, come to that, was he now? He could tell that he loved her but underneath that love he could feel...resentment? Kevin was wondering what all this could mean, wondering why it all felt so very, very real.... ....when he found himself waking up in his driveway, with Jake coming to next to him. "What the fuck..?" said Kevin as they picked themselves up off the ground. "Yeah, man," said Jake. "I think we musta blacked out or something." "Yeah, but why?" "Dunno," said Jake, "but I had like the weirdest dream...only it didn't feel like a dream. It was more like a...a vision." "Really?" said Kevin, uneasily. However real it had felt, what he had seen had to have been a dream didn't it? Anything else was too horrible to contemplate. "Yeah. I was in my bedroom, getting ready for a date, and I was really happy and really nervous, and I never get that way before a date. That's when I knew." "Knew what?" "That this time it was love, dude, that whoever I was dating was The One, y'know?" "So you...liked what you saw in this...vision?" "Fuck, yeah. Who doesn't want to experience that, right?" "I suppose," said Kevin, who was surprised to see a shocked expression appear on his friend's face. Jake was looking over his shoulder and had obviously just noticed something. "Dude," he said, "there's a car sticking out the front of your house." *** It should have felt odd, but it didn't. One moment Jenna Samms had been sitting on the sofa, watching a daytime soap, the next she was in the bedroom, smiling up into the face of her husband, Martin. "A baby, he said!" giving her a delighted hug. "Oh darling that's wonderful news!" "Yes," she said, laughing, "yes it is. I used to think I'd never want another but now there's nothing I want more than to have a baby with you." A baby? Jenna was confused. She had been trying to find the right time to tell Martin she wanted a divorce yet here she was feeling genuine love for him and happy to be carrying his child. What was going on? This couldn't be real, so why did it feel like so much more than just a dream?. They kissed and hugged in silence for a good minute and Jenna marvelled at the strength of what she was feeling, a love for Martin she hadn't felt in years. "The only thing that could make me happier now is if Susie gets pregnant too," said Jenna, eventually. "Frank wants a child so bad, and I know she would do anything to make him happy." Susie? Who was Susie? And Frank. Could that be her lover Frank? Somehow, she knew that it was. Whether or not she truly loved Frank she wasn't sure, but she *was* sure she no longer loved Martin. "I know they're trying really, really, hard," said Jenna. "She told you that?" said Martin, amazed. "Women tell each other everything," she said, "you of all people should know that." He smiled, opened his mouth to reply..... ....and Jenna was back on her sofa, opening her eyes to find a car in her living room.... *** Julie Samms supposed she loved her brother, but she didn't like him very much. At fifteen, Kevin was two years older than her, and almost since the day she was born he had taken great delight in teasing her and making her the butt of his practical jokes. Being almost aneorexically thin, flat-chested, and with a long, plain face, she had low self-esteem anyway, and he only made matters worse. Then there was Jake. He was a year older than Kevin but Jake and he were best friends, and had been since Jake's family had moved next door ten years ago. And for almost all that time Julie had had an enormous crush on him. Jake had always been nice to her - much nicer than Kevin - but she knew there was no way he would ever see her the way she yearned for him to particularly since he had grown up so handsome and, as captain of the football team, could have his pick of most of the girls at their school. Looking out of her bedroom window, watching Jake and Kevin shooting hoops in the driveway below, Julie let out a deep sigh.... ...and found herself looking into a mirror as she put the final touches to her make-up. She was blonde, beautiful, wearing a red dress with a plunging neckline that emphasised her generous cleavage - breasts, she had breasts! - and looked to be about 18 or 19 years old. Julie was stunned. How could this gorgeous girl be her? As she drank in her reflection she noticed the newspaper clipping taped to the upper left corner of the mirror: LOCAL TEENS AMONG THE MISSING it read, and below the headline was the photo of her and Kevin that Dad had taken last Thanksgiving. She felt curiously unmoved by this news. "How do I look?" she asked. "You look fabulous!" came the reply, and another girl came into view in the mirror behind her, a girl with the same face and body Julie now had. Who on earth was this? "I don't think there's anything else I can teach you about make-up," said her twin, approvingly, "you're as good at it now as I am." Smiling at this compliment, Julie picked up her cigarette from the ashtray on her dressing table, took a long drag, and put it back. "I love having you for a sister," she said, exhaling with a sigh of pleasure. Julie had never smoked a cigarette before. She was amazed at how good it felt. "Me too," said her twin. "These past few months I've been happier than I've been in a long time." Julie stood up from her seat, scooped her cigarettes, lighter, and make- up into her purse, and smiled at her sister a little uncertainly. "Did you...get them?" she asked. "Of course I did, silly," said her twin, handing Julie a small pack of condoms, which she quickly dropped into her purse. "I hope Mom doesn't find out about this." "So what if she does?" came the reply. "I talked her into letting you smoke and I can talk her around on this, too. I'll always have your back, sis, so don't worry. And anyway, we turned eighteen last week so what you do with your body is your affair. You guys have been dating for months now, and it's time you took it to the next level. Do you know what Jake has planned?" Jake, she was dating Jake!! "He's taking me for a meal at La Cienga first," she giggled, and he's booked us a room at the Sheraton for afterwards. We'll have all afternoon and evening there to ourselves." Her sister came up and gave her a quick hug, then exchanged an air kiss with her. "I'm so happy for you," she said. "How about you?" asked Julie. "Do you have plans for this afternoon." "Not really," replied her twin, "but it's a lovely day so I think I might put Wendy in her harness, strap her into her new stroller, and go for a walk in the park. And before you ask, yes I will remember to put her bonnet on her as well. We don't want that sensitive baby skin to catch too much sun." Wendy? Who was Wendy? "Yeah, I think I'll check in on Wendy on my way out, too," said Julie, retrieving her cigarette. With that she left the room and crossed the landing. Julie was pleased and impressed by how effortlessly she walked in her three inch heels, how natural it felt. She listened briefly at the door to her parents' bedroom. Whatever they were talking about in there they sounded happy. She then moved to the next door down, opened it, and smiled at the little girl inside, who was sitting in her playpen , happily sucking on a pacifier. This had to be Wendy. She looked totally adorable, in her little pink dress with a small matching ribbon in her hair, but who was she? Julie took a final drag on her cigarette - man, she couldn't get over just how enjoyable that was - then stubbed it out in the ashtray on the small table just outside the nursery. "Hello, sweetie," she said going over and lifting Wendy out of the playpen. "How's my pretty little baby sister?" Another sister? How many did she have? Julie kissed the baby gently on the forehead, leaving some lipstick there, and gave her a dazzling smile.... ...and then she was back in her room, 13 years-old once more and gazing out the window to where Kevin and Jake were getting to their feet. Not that she paid them much attention. She was too excited about what she had just experienced. She knew it was more than a dream, knew that impossible as it seemed it had been real. And more than anything in the world she wanted to get back there. Hearing voices downstairs, Julie frowned. Only her mother should be in the house. Puzzled, she headed out of her room to investigate. *** For a second or two Jenna Samms only stared in shock at the car that had crashed through the wall of her living room before rushing over and helping its dazed passengers out. There were two of them, a mother and her seriously pretty teenage daughter, and it looked like their seatbelts had saved them from any injury. "Are you OK?" she asked as the woman brushed herself down. "Yes, thanks we..." began the woman, then she looked up and saw Jenna's face for the first time. A look of shocked recognition crossed her own. "What is it?" asked Jenna. "I'm not sure what happened," she said, "but I just had a dream...no, a vision... You were in it and so was I." "I was?" said Jenna, disturbed by the strange way the other woman was looking at her "But that's not possible. We've never set eyes on each other before today." "No," agreed the other woman, "we haven't. What's even stranger is that in my vision I was a man." She stuck her hand out. "My name's Susan, by the way," she said, "Susan Mikulski. But everyone calls me Susie." In the back of the car, unnoticed by anyone, the bag containing Lacey Mikulski's junk jewellery had fallen over and its contents had spilled across the rear seat. Among the items, glinting in the sunlight, was a cheap-looking medallion with what looked like a demon or possibly an angel on its face. Those familiar with such matters would have recognised it as the Medallion of Zulo, a powerful instrument of fate, that had changed many lives over the centuries. And it was about to once again.... ...the beginning. ********************************* Note: I love scenarios in which something weird happens to everyone on the planet - as those who've read my 'Genderwave', 'Changeday' and 'Switchworld' stories will know - so it was pretty much inevitable I'd set a tale in the universe of TV's 'Flashforward'. Those of you who enjoyed this one might also like my other Altered Fates stories, some of which are listed below: The X-Files trilogy - 1. Altered Fates/X-Files: The Scam 2. Altered Fates: The X-File 3. Altered Fates: The X-File Reopened Though this reflects their internal chronolgy the tales are standalones and, in fact, no.1 was the last one written. Altered Fates Agent Zulo

ALTERED FATES: AGENT ZULO by BobH (c) 2011 "Yes, baby, oh yes!!" I moaned, bending over the motel room desk as my partner took me from behind, grasping my hips and snorting as he rammed himself into me. Red-faced and breathing heavily, the effort seemed to be taking a lot out of him. Giving one last thrust that almost pushed me into the wall, he came with a final labored grunt. Having shot his load he pulled out of me and sat down heavily on the bed, sweating...

Altered Fates Triptych

Altered Fates: Triptych By BobH (c) 2003 Lucius Duvall checked his reflection and nodded his approval at what he saw. His hair and beard might have long since turned silver grey, giving him an illusion of age and wisdom that, in terms of age at least, was beyond his years, but both were immaculately trimmed, their edges razor-sharp. His suit was tailored to perfection, the trouser creases sharp and straight; his shoes polished to an almost mirror-finish; the carnation in...

Altered FatesXFiles The Scam

ALTERED FATES/X-FILES: THE SCAM By Bob H. (c) 2003 FBI HEADQUARTERS WASHINGTON, DC. FBI agent Fox Mulder was starting to hate working alone. Hidden away as he was in the windowless room of a back basement accessible only via a corridor lined with dusty storage racks, he often felt both unappreciated and as forgotten as many in the bureau would like the X-files themselves to be. He sometimes went days without seeing another living soul between the time he entered the J. Edgar...

Altered Fates The Things we do for Friends

Altered Fates: The Things We Do For Friends part 1 of 5 By Morpheus I stood in the school bathroom with my half soapy hands underneath the water faucet, grimacing as I rinsed them off. Then pausing for a second, I looked up and into the mirror that was hung on the wall in front of me. The same familiar 14 year old boy that I always saw looked back at me with a sour expression. His messy brown hair was in need of a cut and his nose still had blood dripping from it. "Shit."...

Altered Fates Project Zulo

(Author's Note: This story provides a finale to all the Altered Fates tales I've posted here to date. It contains spoilers for, and resolves dangling threads from, most of those eleven stories. I wrote them out of sequence, but I always knew where each of them fitted in the overall scheme. Read in order, the larger story should all fall into place with what might have seemed stray characters and random bits of business all connecting up. Even if you read the individual stories as they...

Altered Fates A Christmas Tale

ALTERED FATES: A CHRISTMAS TALE by BobH (c) 2012 Ed Geraghty sat down heavily on the changing room bench and sighed. He felt every minute of his fifty-six years, and then some. Any positive effect on his health of thirty five years pounding the streets delivering mail had been more than offset by the same number of years spent drinking hard liquor to excess. Not that this was an option open to him any more, given the precarious state of his liver. He was not a bad man, and had...

Altered Fates Babysitting

I've had this story in mind for quite awhile, but the first time I started writing it, Eric came out with a very similar Altered Fates story called The Baby-sitter Caper first. Because of that I put this one on hold for awhile. Well here it finally is. I know that the ending leaves a lot that could be done afterwards, but I left off where I was on purpose. Perhaps I'll do a sequel, or perhaps I'll just leave the rest to the readers imagination. Altered Fates: Babysitting By...

It's an old clich? that someone in my scenario might have grown up differently than the other boys, but the truth is I loved playing G.I. Joe and Cowboys and Indians. I couldn't have cared less for Barbie dolls and easy-bake ovens. I liked baseball a l...

Altered Fates A Quick Study

Authors note: This is another story whose initial inspiration was a situation depicted on one of femur's Lovingly Modified Romance Comic covers, specifically af017.jpg. ALTERED FATES: A QUICK STUDY by BobH. (c) 2003 Sitting in his large, elegantly-furnished CEO's office, Eric Peyton Wayne gazed sadly at the framed photograph in his hands. It showed him and Tommy Clark in happier times. They had been fourteen and indestructible when the picture was taken, during that long,...

These can be seen at tgcomics.com 1.Janice: "'Loose' for 'lose'," said Gina Carter, dark eyes flashing, "'breath' when it should be 'breathe', and not knowing the difference between 'affect' and 'effect. Altered Fates The Mistakes of Others

Altered Fates - The Mistakes of Others By KathyB Learn from the mistakes of others; life is too short to make them all yourself. Chapter #1 Jim Collins was nothing if not methodical. An engineer by trade and obsessive compulsive by habit, he carefully planned his day's activities so as to minimize wasted effort. He rose routinely at 5:00 am, tended to personal hygiene as the situation warranted, poured a cup of hot black coffee from his...

Altered Fates Hollywood Agent

ALTERED FATES: HOLLYWOOD AGENT Chapter 1: Laura Jenson was tired. At least she acted as if she was tired, and those who knew her well knew that even though she was the star of over ten highly profitable movies over the last five years, that Laura couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Laura thanked her lucky stars everyday that the director's and the film editor she chose to work with, knew her acting faults and were only too glad to cover them up and make a ton of money from...

Altered Fates Study In Childhood

Altered Fates: A Study In Childhood - By Innocent Guilt Hi, my name is Jeffery Smith. If you stumbled onto this little story of my life then I hope it helps save you from the fate I am in now. Well, lets go back to where it all started. It was my first days of college. I was a freshman at Undeclared Medical College. I was head strong, naive, stupid, and thought I could take on the world. I had just finished high school as top of my class with some off the wall theories in the...

Altered Fates Disguise For Life

Altered Fates DISGUISED FOR LIFE by Jennifer Adams ©Jennifer Adams Bob had everything he and his children would need packed into the trunk of his car when he went to pick them up for the week-end. He had planned it all out. He would pick them up from Shelly like it was going to be a normal week-end visit. Then instead of taking them to his rented house they would just go west and start over, just the three of them. It was a desperate act, he knew, and if he were caught...

Altered Fates 3rd Strike And Your Out

Following my debut story last week (Lord's Prayer), along with the feedback I've received (thanks Eric Bloodstone, Jennifer Adams, Mindy Rich and all the others) I have gotten the bug ! This is a spin-off story from Lord's Prayer which, I hope, wraps up this episode. If found that, although this started out at an even pace, it turned fairly dark about half way through as the story took on a life of it's own and reflected the mood I was in at the time. Hope that some still enjoy this...

Altered Fates: Domestic Tranquility with The Nanny By Eric and Caleb Jones Fran Fine's annoyingly nasal voice hammered at Maxwell's ears like a sledgehammer. Altered Fates The Daughter

The Medallion of Zulo was a powerful instrument of fate, but sometimes the fate it brought was death. ALTERED FATES: THE DAUGHTER by BobH (c) 2014 I woke screaming, lurching upright in bed as that scream subsided into great, wrenching sobs. It was the sounds again, those terrible cracking and snapping sounds I couldn't escape. The bedroom door burst open then Carol was there, taking my tiny body in her arms, rocking me back and forth, my head on her breasts,...

Altered Fates Stabbed in the Back

Altered Fates: Stabbed In The Back By: Regina Lawson I may have been selfish; in fact, I was selfish, I knew it. I wanted so much to make some sort of difference in the world that I overrode my wife?s objections and took the diplomatic position offered to me anyhow. I was to take up a minor position at our embassy in Panama which was responsible for American tourism, but that put me in touch with intelligence assets in the Central American region. My name is Stuart Barnes...

Altered Fates Chimera Pt1

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 1 By Elliot Reid I stood at the window, peering out into the cold morning light. I waited a full five minutes, face squashed against the glass, feeling my nose get uncomfortably cool. The trees in the avenue were in full leaf and I couldn't see far down the street, however much I squinted. I saw a vehicle move. Was that my parents' SUV gliding back along the road? Nope, false alarm. I was paranoid my folks would return. It was known to happen. Mom...

Altered Fates Chimera Pt3

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 3 By Elliot Reid I slept fitfully that night, back at home in my own bed. I was exhausted from my lovemaking with Simone, who since her transformation had almost limitless demand for sex inside Ayesha's lithe body. But even though I felt sucked dry I was jazzed by the experience. I was on a high. It was late when I'd left Simone. My parents would raise Cain if I stayed out too long. But before I walked out the door we talked over Simone's plan to turn...

Altered Fates Chimera Pt5

Altered Fates: Chimera, Part 5 By Elliot Reid Jase and I were both victims of the Medallion of Zulo; something we discovered the first night we slept together. We became close after that. We weren't in love or anything, but I welcomed Jase's support, his understanding. He knew what it was like to have your life turned upside down by a change of sex, of identity. Jase looked in the mirror each morning and saw a borrowed face. He'd been through the struggle of reinventing...

Altered Fates Dennis

Altered Fates: Dennis (I know, its not the greatest name, but it works) By Morpheus ([email protected]) Walking home from work, I happened to look down, and saw a small brass colored medallion sitting in the gutter. Curiously, I pulled it out and held it up examining it. When I'd seen it, I'd hoped that it might be worth something, but as I looked at it, I realized that it was only a cheap piece of costume jewelry. Probably for kids or something. I noticed that there was a...

Altered Fates Auntie Em II

When I wrote Auntie Em, I had no intention of writing a sequel to it. However, after I finished it I started thinking about a few other ideas I had for the main characters and decided to use them as well. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, this one turned out quite a bit longer than I'd anticipated. For those of you who haven't read Auntie Em first, I suggest that you do before reading this. Altered Fates: Auntie Em II By Morpheus Emily felt bored....

Altered Fates A Promise Kept

Altered Fates: A Promise Kept By Jennifer Adams "Mike! Where have you been?" Connie asked. It was more of a demand rather than a question. She had been waiting and wondering where her husband had been for several hours. He wasn't normally a man who left and didn't come home. At least not until SHE came back to town. SHE was Mike's childhood friend. They had been neighbors growing up and played together all the time. Her name was Dana. "I'm sorry dear. I was over at Dana's...

Altered Fates Lyles Story

Lyle's Story by Grendel There are two sides to every story. Most of us would prefer to see the world in black and white, but the decisions we make are never as clear- cut as that. I know that I've made some enemies in my life, and perhaps with hindsight some of the pain that I've caused could have been avoided, but I've never deliberately acted with malice. I've just made some bad choices. I grew up in the shadow of my elder brother, Ken. He was the Golden Child, the...

Altered Fates Body Switch

Altered Fates: Body Switch By: Wayne Halderman Edited by: Heather Hi. I'm really William James Campbell. Or, should I say, I used to be. The truth is, I had my body stolen from me. I was 25 years old, 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 285 pounds. I had an athletic build, blonde hair and brown eyes. It all started with me seeing a picture of a girl in a pink dress and saying to myself, "She used to be a male Olympic swimmer before her body got stolen. Now she's a prissy...

Altered Fates My Best Friends Girl

Altered Fates: My Best Friend's Girl By Jennifer Adams I remember what I was doing when I received that fateful call. I was having sex on the beach with Jennifer Aniston. She was hot as ever and all over me. Just as we reached our mutual peak she opened her mouth to speak, but all I heard was a telephone ring. I suddenly became confused and then she disappeared. Danny Mason looked around the table, seeing his relatives, all waiting quietly as the lawyer gathered his materials, getting ready to read the will. Altered Fates The Vacation Souvenir

Altered Fates: The Vacation Souvenir by Tim Willows "Be careful!" June cried. Philip dismissed his wife's warnings with a backward wave of his hand. She stood anxiously on the dock as he swam farther and farther out into the lake. The early autumn sky was grey and many of the trees at the edge of the water were already bare. The water was freezing, and June had decided to stay out of it after only dipping her foot into it. Philip had laughed at her, shivering in her bikini...

Altered Fates Child Star

Altered Fates: Child Star by Tim Willows It had become a nightly ritual: Barry would arrive home late, after an exhausting day of attending auditions. His wife Valerie, who also acted as his agent, would be sitting by the telephone. "Anything?" he'd ask her. "No, Barry," she'd say, "not today. Maybe tomorrow." He hadn't had an acting part in months, and whereas it used to surprise him when it turned out another day had passed without a job offer, he was starting to despair....
