I originally had no intention of making this an Altered Fates story.
However, after my first two drafts turned out horrible, I decided to try
a different angle with it. This is what resulted.
Altered Fates: Auntie Em
By Morpheus
Corey winced as his foot went into the puddle of water,
muttering "Damn" to himself. He was already completely soaked through
from the heavy rain, which gave no sign of letting up. Shivering in his
wet clothes, Corey really wished that he hadn't decided to take a bike
ride that earlier. First his bike crashes into a tree, bending the
wheel out of shape and forcing him to walk, then it started raining cats
and dogs. Looking at the almost solid sheet of drops in front of him, he
decided that raining elephants and rhino's might be more appropriate.
Still shivering, he held the front end of the bike off the
ground and continued half carrying it, feeling incredibly miserable.
His sneakers squished with each step and his soggy jeans rubbed
uncomfortably on his thighs. "Fucking rain" he mutters to himself,
letting himself get angry since that warmed him up a little. "I hate
rain" he repeats to himself, yanking the weight of his bike, and
thinking that he still had miles to go before he could get home. Miles
before he could take a warm shower and get into dry clothes. And to
make it worse, it was already getting dark out.
Cold, wet and absolutely miserable, Corey stopped for a moment,
wiping his wet hair back and the water out of his eyes. He already knew
that his parents would be worried about him. He was 15 years old, but
they still thought he was a child. Thought he couldn't take care of
himself. He wished that he could give them a call to at least tell them
to come pick him up, but he didn't have any change on him. That and he
was too proud to make a collect call, begging for their aid. No, his
pride demanded that he get home on his own. He wasn't about to call home
begging for help just because of a little water. No way.
Sighing, Corey started walking again. He'd only gone a little
further when he noticed something caught the drainage ditch along
alongside the road. Something metal. Though Corey didn't have enough
energy in him to feel too curious, he thought it might be worth looking
at. Setting his bike down for a minute, he walked over and pulled the
chunk of metal out of the gutter then wiped some of the dirt off of it.
"Some kind of necklace" Corey said to himself as he looked at it. It
seemed to be a copper disk with some kind of picture engraved in it,
though Corey couldn't make it out. Shrugging, he bunched the chain up
and slipped the necklace into his pocket, thinking that maybe once he
got home and dry, he could look at it some more. Until then however,
his priorities would be getting home and out of the rain.
Picking his bike back up, Corey continued heading home, getting
almost another block down the street before he realized that he might be
able to get out of the rain sooner than he thought. Though it was still
a long trip back home, his aunts place was much closer, and Corey was
sure that she'd let him stay there until it stopped raining. She'd have
to.
With his mind made up, Corey changed direction a little and
started towards his Aunt Emily's apartment, hoping that she would be
home. If not, it would only add distance to his trip home. Absently he
started to think about his aunt. Auntie Em as he'd always called her
for as long as he could remember. She was his Mom's kid sister, though
she was always pretty cool to Corey. He certainly felt a lot more
comfortable talking with her than he did with either of his parents. She
was always more understanding. Corey sometimes found it hard to believe
that she and his Mom were sisters. They were so different from each
other. Whereas his Mom was always serious and nagging him, Auntie Em was
what his Mom called..... A little wild. She always joked around with
Corey and treated him like a person. He suspected that it was because
she was closer to his age than to his Mom's. There was only a 10 year
age difference between him and his aunt.
Corey wiped the water out of his eyes again and tried to ignore
his discomfort and misery. Instead, he tried focusing on where he was
going, thinking that he wouldn't be able to get there soon enough.
Corey finally arrived at his destination and leaned his bike
against the wall outside. He knew that it wasn't any too soon. He felt
so drained from being cold and wet that he wasn't sure if he even would
have been able to make it all the way back home. Sighing, Corey only
prayed that Auntie Em was home. Trying to keep from shivering, Corey
knocked on the door, hoping that there would be an answer. Walking the
rest of the home right then was the last thing that he wanted to do.
After a minute, the door swung open, and a young woman with
shoulder length black hair stuck her head out. Gasping, she said
"Corey? What are you doing here?" Then noticing his soaked state, she
became concerned, saying "Come inside"
"Thanks Auntie Em" Corey said, his voice stuttering slightly as
his teeth chattered. Once inside, he told her what had happened to him,
trying to soak up the warmth.
Emily sighed then told her nephew "You need to get out of those
wet clothes." Corey nodded and she pushed him towards the bathroom,
commanding him to "Take those soaking things off, get in that shower."
Still shivering, Corey did as she said, going into the bathroom
and undressing. Then he handed his wet clothes through the door to his
aunt who said that she'd put them in the dryer for him. Corey felt
better already, and he hadn't even got into the shower yet. Sighing, he
started the shower, hearing his aunts voice saying "I'm going to call
your mom and let her know that you're here." Corey nodded vaguely,
enjoying the warm shower too much to really care.
Emily smiled as she heard the shower running, then looked down
at the wet mess in her hands. She felt something hard in one of Corey's
pockets, and pulled it out. Seeing that it was some kind of necklace,
she set it down on the coffee table next to her couch then took the
dripping clothes to the dryer.
After Emily called her sister, she had to leave a message on the
answering machine, saying that Corey would be staying the night with
her. Then realizing that Corey wouldn't have anything to wear until his
clothes dried, Emily thought about it for a moment and came to a
solution.
When Corey finally came out of the bathroom, with a towel
wrapped around his waist, Emily thought that he looked a lot better than
he had at the door. Much less like a drowned rat, though he did look
exhausted. "Here" she said grinning, "you can wear this until your
clothes dry" Emily handed Corey one of her bathrobes, noticing that he
was so tired that he didn't even blush as he put the pink robe on. She
felt a little disappointed, hoping to have had a little fun with Corey.
Corey yawned, adjusting the robe around him a little then
sitting down next to his Auntie Em on the couch. He certainly felt a
lot better now that he'd taken a warm shower, though a lot more tired.
Auntie Em offered Corey a cup of hot chocolate, which he accepted
thankfully, taking a deep sip. Then she asked "So what got you out in
that weather?"
Shrugging, Corey said "I got tired of Mom nagging me so took a
bike ride to get out of the house for awhile."
Emily nodded in understanding. She knew her sister far too
wall. Chuckling, she told Corey, "She's not really that bad."
"Yeah she is" He grinned back.
Still smiling, Emily said "Nah. It's just that you're her son.
She just takes her role as your Mom a little too seriously at times."
Stretching a little, she continues "You only get to see that side of
her, but she's not always like that." Corey shrugged, knowing that she
was probably right.
Corey talked with his Auntie Em for a little while longer,
mostly about his Mom. He chuckled as his aunt told him about some of
the things his Mom did when she was younger. However, after yawning one
time too many, Auntie Em told Corey, "You can sleep here on the couch."
She patted the couch gently, adding "Its fairly comfortable" Corey
nodded, yawning again to prove his acceptance. His aunt just smiled
back at him, then stood up. "I'll say good night then and go to bed
myself."
A minute later, Corey was left to himself. Standing up, he
looked at the couch, eager to get some sleep. First however, he had to
empty his bladder. Just as he was starting to move towards the
bathroom, Corey noticed the necklace sitting on the coffee table.
Picking it up, he thought that he could make out the picture a little
clearer. It looked like some sort of person with wings. Perhaps an angel
or a fairy. Shrugging, he slipped it over his head then went to the
bathroom to take care of his business. Once he was finished, Corey
crawled onto the couch and immediately fell asleep.
Corey awoke the next morning, realizing that someone was shaking
him. Opening his eyes, he saw that it was Auntie Em shaking him, a look
of surprise on her face. "What's going on?" he asked, realizing as soon
as he said it that something was wrong. His voice sounded strange to
his own ears.
"You'd better stay where you are" Emily cautioned him, gently
holding him down with one hand. "Something very strange has happened to
you." "What are you talking about?" Corey asked, sitting up in spite of
his aunts warning. Feeling a weight on his chest, he looked down and
gasped, seeing the robe he was wearing pushed out on his chest. "What
the hell!?" he gasped.
Looking at Auntie Em, Corey felt confused. She nodded, looking
confused herself. "I don't know what happened" she told him, "but you
look like....well" he hesitated again, "like me." Corey gasped and
grabbed the breasts pushing out from his chest. Standing up, he saw
that he was looking his aunt straight in the eyes, when normally he was
several inches taller than her. Gulping, he looked down at himself,
realizing from what little he could see of himself, that she was right.
"Where's a mirror?" Corey asked her desperately, then before she
answered, he noticed one hanging on the living room wall and ran to it.
Auntie Em was right, he saw immediately. The reflection looking back at
him was hers. "What happened?" he asked confused.
His aunt shook head, then said "I don't know. When I got up, I
came in here and saw you sleeping on the couch like this." She smiled
faintly and Corey realized that she was amused by what was happening to
him. She was quiet for a moment then said to herself "Maybe it has
something to do with your wearing my robe."
Corey just stood turned away from the mirror, looking down at
himself in confusion. Nervously he grabbed between his legs, finding
that his crotch seemed flat. His Auntie Em chuckled at the look on his
face, making Corey feel only more embarrassed. He blushed and tried
crossing his arms at his chest, only to find his breasts were getting in
the way a little, making his aunt laugh more.
"Wait a minute" she says, still smiling, "What's this?" With
that, she gestured towards the necklace around Corey's neck.
Stammering, Corey said "I just found it alongside the road
yesterday." Curious, he pulled it from around his neck and looked at it.
Then as if it were a snake, he dropped it to the ground. Somehow that
must have done this to him. He was sure of it.
Emily picked it up carefully then looked at it. "If this thing
made you look like me, then it can probably turn you back to normal."
Corey nodded at her logic, unsure if it was true but thinking that it
made sense. Emily rolled it around in her hands, musing aloud "But why
turn into me? Corey shrugged, feeling his hair brushing his shoulders,
which he found odd. Then she looked at Corey and smiled. "Maybe
because you were wearing my robe."
While his aunt was thinking about it, Corey sat down. He felt so
weird. The unfamiliar weight on his chest, the absence between his legs
and all the other smaller differences all made him feel uncomfortable.
The thing was, he didn't feel quite as odd as he would have expected.
He felt different sure, but at the same time, he also felt somewhat
normal, leaving him slightly confused. Corey sighed and watched Auntie
Em for a moment, then blushing as he felt a familiar pressure from his
bladder. "Um..." he said quietly, "I've got to go to the bathroom."
Emily shrugged, and pointed, saying "You know where it is."
Then she looked at Corey again and smiled. "And don't forget to wipe."
she adds with a chuckle.
Feeling embarrassed, Corey went to the bathroom, wondering why
his aunt wasn't bothered by this invasion of her privacy. Instead, she
seemed to just think it was funny. Funny for her maybe, but certainly
not for Corey. He was scared. Remembering to sit down, Corey did his
business, finding that it was a little different to pee that way, but
not uncomfortable. In a way, it almost felt sort of normal. After he'd
finished, he wiped himself dry then went back into the living room.
What Corey saw when he walked in surprised him. Auntie Em was
standing there, wearing his shirt from the day before, with the necklace
clearly visible around her neck. "What are you doing?" Corey asked her,
startled to see her doing that, and worried.
She just grinned at him and said "Don't worry Corey. I just
wanted to test my theory."
"But what if I'm stuck like this?" Corey cried out, feeling
afraid. He couldn't believe that his aunt was acting like this was some
sort of game.
Frowning, she said "Lighten up. You're beginning to sound like
Brenda." Corey winced at being compared to his Mom, and tried to relax,
telling himself that it would be all right. "Oh, don't pout" she told
Corey with a smile on her face, walking up and patting him on the
shoulder. "Everything will be fine." He hoped she was right.
Standing next to his aunt, Corey looked her in the eyes and
frowned. Something wasn't quite right he thought, then realized what it
was. By the look on her face, she realized what it was the same time she
did. Corey had to look up just a little bit to see in her eyes. Her
idea was working. She was changing into him.
Several minutes later, the changes were more noticeable. Emily
was just a little taller. Her hair had shortened a little and seemed to
be turning from black to brown, and her breasts seemed a little smaller.
They both watched the process continue in amazement, as she started to
look more and more like Corey. About half an hour after it had started,
she stood there, seeming to be an exact replica of Corey. "It worked!"
she said triumphantly, smiling broadly. Corey stared at her amazed. It
was freaky to see himself like that, and hear someone else talking in
his voice. Had this been what she'd felt when she first saw him like
that? It must be, Corey decided.
"Now let me change back" Corey said excitedly, reaching for the
necklace. His aunt pulled it from around her neck and was about to hand
it to him, when she froze. With a grin on her face, she pulled it back.
Seeing the mischievous smile on his old face, Corey had a bad feeling.
"What are you doing?" he asked, seeing that she was chuckling to
herself.
"I have an idea" she said, sounding strange to Corey's ears.
"I think we should stay like this for a day or two."
"WHAT!!??"
"I mean it" Emily says excitedly. "You pretend to be me, and
I'll pretend to be you. It will be fun."
Corey protested, saying "You've got to be kidding." But by the
look on her face, he knew that she wasn't.
"Nope" she said smoothly, still smiling. "You were complaining
that Brenda.....your Mom nags too much and never does anything fun.
Well, this will give you a chance to see her from a different
perspective. See how she is when you're not around." Emily rolled the
medallion around in her hand, glancing at it then back at Corey.
"Me..... I just want to play a prank on Brenda, and this is the best."
She chuckled mischievously, "Besides, it might be fun to be a teenager
again."
"But what am I going to do?" Corey asked, beginning to wonder
if it might actually be fun to play this joke on his parents. Trading
places without them ever knowing it.
Emily shrugged. "You could go to work for me today." she tells
Corey, "or you could call in sick." She smiled, acting as if she didn't
really care which Corey did. "Either way, you can go over and visit
your Mom."
Corey thought about it for a moment. He wasn't really sure that
he could do his aunts job as a bank teller, though she assured him that
it wasn't that difficult. He thought about her spending the day in
school, then reminded her that she would have to go for him. She
chuckled and told him that was no problem. Not as long as he briefed her
on his classes. She even said that it might be fun to go back to school
for awhile. Corey shrugged, then agreed to her plan. "Lets do it" he
said.
The first thing Corey realized was that he....no, Auntie Em
wouldn't be able to get to school on time. They still had a little time
to go, but Corey knew that there was no way that he'd be able to brief
her on everything in that time. She just shrugged and said that she
used to skip school when she was his age, so being a little late was no
big deal. She grinned, suggesting that she could just pretend to be sick
and skip school instead. Finally Emily came up with a solution. Corey
called up his Mom, pretending that he was Auntie Em, saying that he
would take Corey (meaning Auntie Em) to school. His Mom seemed to
accept that, and Corey hung up the phone in relief.
"Well" Emily said with a grin, "That's settled. Now what are
you going to do about work?" Corey groaned, then said that he'd just
call in sick. She accepted that with a shrug, as if she didn't care.
Then she intently examined Corey, making him feel embarrassed again. "I
think..." she said with a grin, "it's time to get dressed." Corey
groaned again.
Corey watched his Auntie Em walk out of the room, wearing her
robe and his T shirt over it, then come back several minutes later
dressed in the clothes he'd worn yesterday. "Now it's your turn" She
said, gesturing for Corey to follow her.
When they got into her room, she quickly tore through her closet
and dresser, tossing pieces of clothing onto the bed, then telling Corey
to get dressed in them. He looked at them distastefully, asking
hopelessly "Do I have to?"
"Yes you have to." She teased back.
Reluctantly Corey started the process of dressing, feeling
embarrassed once he took off the robe and stood there naked. He knew it
was ridiculous since it was her body, or at least a copy of it, but he
still felt that way. He hesitated when she handed him the panties,
thinking suddenly how gross it would be to wear someone else's
underwear. Gulping, he slipped them on, then let his aunt help him with
the bra before getting the rest on. Several minutes later, he was
dressed in his aunts black slacks and a white shirt that left his
midriff open.
Next, Emily made Corey sit down, and she started brushing his
hair and putting makeup on, much to her amusement and his
embarrassment. "But you look so cute" she teased after he complained
that the makeup felt odd to wear. Then she looked down at his bare feet
and the sandals she'd set aside for him to wear, frowning as she did so.
"Looks like we have some more work do to" she said, grinning as she
reached for the nail polish. While she carefully painted Corey's toes,
then his fingernails, he told her about his classes at school. About
the teachers, the kids she'd run into and several other important things
that he thought she'd need to make it through the day. Or at least part
of a day. "Don't worry" she assured Corey, "I used to go that school
myself."
When his Auntie Em was finally done with him, Corey stood up and
walked around, feeling a little odd. She just smiled and made funny
comments that made even Corey laugh about their situation. After Corey
looked at the clock though, he realized just how much time they'd
already spent that morning. "What about school?" he asked, feeling a
little worried.
Emily scowled, saying "Don't be such a worry wart. Everything
will be fine." Then she chuckled, "If you're in such a hurry to get rid
of me, I'll go." Gesturing to her purse, she jokingly said "You're
going to need your purse, Auntie Em." Corey chuckled, then picked up
the purse, feeling uncomfortable as he slung it over his shoulder.
"How do I look?" he joked back, posing a little and making his
aunt start laughing. Then he noticed that she had the necklace in her
hand, slipping it into her pocket. "What are y you doing?" he asked,
feeling a little worried.
She just grinned and replied "Just making sure that you play
fair." Corey nodded reluctantly, then remembering several more things
that he should probably have told her. After a little bit longer
talking, they went down to the car. Corey hesitated, then said "I don't
really know how to drive."
Auntie Em looked slightly annoyed, then grinned. "I'll just have
to teach you then." With that, she dug through her purse, and pulled
the keys out. "This key is for my apartment" she held one key out, then
went to the next, "This one is for the car door...." For a bit longer,
she went over the keys, then over everything in the car. Corey was
startled to realize that he knew more about driving than he'd realized.
Corey grinned and said "I guess that some of those video games
at the arcade really paid off." His aunt just chuckled, telling him to
go. Corey looked over everything once more, thankful that it was an
automatic rather than a standard, then let out a sigh. "Here goes
nothing" he muttered, pulling out of the parking space.
The ride to school was a little slow, Corey being a little
nervous about driving and taking it easy. His aunt gave him gentle
reminders when he needed them, and he made it there all right. As he
pulled into the schools parking lot, he let out a sigh of relief,
thinking that it hadn't been that bad. Auntie Em grinned, then said
"Let's see... Since you're not going to work for me, there's not too
much to say. Just take it easy, and there's beer in the fridge."
"But I can't drink" Corey protested.
Auntie Em chuckled, saying "You're an adult now. Just be
careful. OK." Corey nodded agreement, then reminded his aunt about
which bus she'd need to catch home. She chuckled, looking around, saying
"It'll be tough going back to school, but I'll manage." Then she smiled
at Corey adding "Don't run anyone over on the way home, OK. That's my
car and my name that would be ruined." Corey smiled back nervously,
promising to be careful. "See ya then." With that, she ran into the
school, and Corey let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.
Sighing, he started the drive back.
After Corey had finished driving back to Auntie Em's apartment,
he felt greatly relieved. It had been a bit more comfortable then the
drive to school, but on the other hand, he didn't have his aunt with him
to give him confidence. As Corey climbed out of the car, he barely
remembered to grab his aunts purse. He didn't know why she'd insisted
he bring it with him.
Corey went back inside, setting the purse down on the couch,
then going over to look at himself again in the mirror. He couldn't
believe how much he looked like his Auntie Em. Grabbing hold of his
breasts, he shook his head, smiling at how unbelievable it was. At how
impossible such a thing should be. "Amazing" he muttered to himself,
shaking his head and squeezing his breasts. "Just amazing."
Gently squeezing his breasts through the shirt, Corey posed in
front of the mirror for a few minutes, thinking how pretty his aunt was.
How pretty he was. Corey wondered for a minute what he looked like
completely naked. He hadn't had a chance to really look at himself
earlier while Auntie Em was around. But in spite of his great
curiosity, Corey decided not to do strip at the moment. For some
reason, he felt like that would be an invasion of her privacy. Like
being a peeping tom. He got embarrassed just thinking about it.
Sighing, he turned away from the mirror and went to the living
room, sitting down on the couch, and just staring at his hands. At the
long painted fingernails. At the feminine fingers and how unfamiliar
even his hands looked to him. Absently he put his hands on his breasts
again, feeling them rise and fall as he breathed. Definitely different,
though not really all that uncomfortable.
Trying to keep himself out of trouble, Corey looked for the
remote so he could turn on the TV. Unfortunately, he frowned thinking
that his aunt really wasn't very organized. He shoved a magazine and
empty beer bottle out of the way as he looked over the coffee table for
it. Eventually he found the remote under the cushions of the couch and
was able to turn on the TV. He watched it for some time, though wasn't
really able to get into anything. Mostly he tried to ignore the
temptation to examine his body closer, reminding himself that it would
be like spying on his Auntie Em. Absently he started to fiddle with
the remote, rolling it around in his hands, occasionally using it to
flip through the channels.
Corey kept shifting position on the couch, trying to get
comfortable. But every few minutes he found himself moving into a
different position. He finally found himself setting into a position
with his feet partly under him. A position that, though he didn't
realize it, was one his aunt frequently used. Setting the remote down,
Corey started twiddling his fingers. Once he realized that he was doing
that, he stood up and started walking around the apartment. For some
reason he just couldn't seem to sit still. He felt so fidgety and just
didn't know why.
Since Corey didn't feel like watching TV anymore, he just poked
around Auntie Em's apartment, looking for something else to occupy him.
He started digging through her closet and a few of her drawers, feeling
a little guilty for doing so, but still not stopping. Corey felt
himself blushing when he found a dildo in one of his aunt's dresser
drawers. He dropped it back in quickly, deciding that he'd had enough
of exploring her bedroom.
Since Corey still felt like fidgeting, he thought that munching
on something would help and went to the kitchen to find something to
eat. After checking through the cupboards, Corey found that one of them
had several bottles of liquor in it. A half empty bottle of scotch, an
almost full bottle of tequila and several other bottles of stuff that
Corey didn't know. Shrugging, he continued looking through cupboards
until he found some potato chips and a couple bags of Hershey's Kisses.
Smiling, he unwrapped a kiss and popped it into his mouth. "Mmm" he
moaned slightly, thinking that the chocolate tasted even better than
usual. "Pretty good" he said, unwrapping the next piece.
Thinking that he could certainly use a Pepsi, Corey opened the
fridge, frowning when he saw that there was only diet Cokes and Sprites
in there to drink. And beer. Corey picked one of the bottles up,
looking at it curiously. He remembered that Auntie Em had told him to
help himself to the beer. Chuckling to himself, Corey said "What the
hell? She did say I was an adult now." Popping the cap off of the
beer, Corey brought it back to the living room, along with the bag of
chips.
Sitting back on the couch, he frowned vaguely at the TV, then
took a sip from the bottle. The beer didn't taste quite like what Corey
had expected and was a little bitter. But it wasn't bad. In fact, it
tasted kind of good. Shrugging, Corey took another drink then helped
himself to a chip. Sighing, he picked up the remote and started
flipping through channels again, not even noticing that he was sitting
with his legs crossed like a woman. He'd only moved into what felt
like a comfortable position.
Emily grinned to herself as she hid under the gym bleachers. It
was just like the old days when she used to go to that school. When
she'd gone into the school, everyone was in the middle of class. Not
wanting to attract any attention she'd decided to just show up for the
next class. Fortunately she remembered the great hiding place under the
gym bleachers from her days of going there and skipping classes.
Shaking her head, she patted her chest, still finding it hard to
believe. It felt so strange not to have her breasts there. And even
stranger to have that extra thing between her legs. Emily sighed and
sat down, trying to remain patient and wishing that she'd brought
something to do. Just sitting under the bleachers wasn't very much fun,
but she knew that she'd have to wait. Attracting any extra attention
was the last thing she needed.
Eventually the bell rang and Emily sighed in relief. "I can
finally get out from under here." she muttered to herself, being careful
not to be seen as she left the gym and headed towards her first class.
Getting there, she chuckled to herself as she realized that her teacher
was Mr. Edmonds. She remembered being in his class herself, and how
good a teacher he was. He had been one of the few teachers that didn't
put her to sleep. Sitting down, Emily chuckled to herself, thinking
that it was just like old times.
While Mr. Edmonds was giving his lecture on the Civil War, Emily
wondered with amusement, just how Corey was handling things.
Corey finished drinking his beer and got up, leaving the empty
bottle on the coffee table as he went to the bathroom to relieve
himself. He finished up and wiped himself, barely even noticing that
it had felt almost normal to pee that way. However, he hesitated to
pull his pants back up, looking at his vagina instead. At the dark hair
filling his pubic region, and soft pink lips. Curiously he started to
rub it with his fingers, feeling his fingertip slightly enter his moist
slit. Gasping in surprise from the strange sensation, Corey pulled his
hand back then started pulling his panties back up. He felt
embarrassed, just thinking what his aunt would say if she found out he
was taking liberties in her body.
Still feeling a little nervous and jittery, perhaps even a
little more so, Corey went back to the kitchen. After grabbing a small
handful of chocolate Kisses, he pulled out another beer and went back to
the living room, wondering just what was wrong with him. He just
couldn't figure out why he kept feeling so agitated and jittery.
Shrugging, he ate a Kiss and started sipping at the beer. After several
minutes, Corey noticed the purse on the other end of the couch where
he'd set it earlier. Grinning mischievously, he wondered just what
Auntie Em kept in it.
Giving in to his temptation, Corey pulled the purse over to him
and opened it up, only slightly startled to notice a pack of cigarettes
next to the wallet. Corey knew that Auntie Em smoked sometimes, but he
hadn't really thought about it. Shrugging, he set them aside and pulled
out the wallet, finding great pleasure in digging through it. After
he'd gone through the contents of the purse, Corey started putting
things back in. As he reached for the pack of cigarettes to return
them, he frowned and stared at them.
Corey was startled to realize that he felt an urge to smoke one.
Suddenly it dawned on him. That nervous jittery feeling that he'd been
having. Auntie Em smoked, and since he had turned into her, his body
wanted the nicotine from her habit. Corey stared at the cigarettes
confused. He'd never smoked before in his life, and even though he'd
turned into a copy of his aunt, he was sure that he was only that. A
copy. Then why, he asked himself, was he having nicotine withdrawal.
Nervously, he realized that he was a much more exact copy than he'd
first thought. At least physically. And as he pulled one of the
cigarettes out of the package and stared at it, he wondered if it might
be more than just that.
Taking a look at the beer he'd set on the coffee table, then at
the cigarette, Corey shrugged, saying "She did say I was an adult now."
Corey felt a little nervous about what he was doing, but knew that he'd
need to in order to get rid of the uncomfortable nervous feeling he had.
Feeling curious as well, he put the cigarette between his lips, then dug
through the purse for the lighter that he'd just dropped back in a
moment earlier. Once he had it, he lit it, staring at the flame for a
moment before bringing it to the end of the cigarette, carefully cupping
the flame with his other hand.
Once the end was lit, Corey pulled the lighter away and sucked
in. He could taste the smoke coming through his mouth, and feel it
roughly going down his throat and into his lungs. Unprepared for the
strange sensations, Corey started hacking and coughing, getting control
of himself again after a few moments. Feeling rather stupid, Corey
looked at the cigarette, smoldering between his fingers, determined to
try it again without the coughing. After all, Auntie Em did it all the
time so it couldn't't be that bad. Corey took another puff from the
cigarette, this time being prepared for it. It went down much easier
and Corey blew the smoke back out, feeling vaguely satisfied. And more
relaxed. The jittery feeling that had been plaguing him all morning was
rapidly fading. Corey smiled, then took another puff, pleased to
realize that he felt sort of good as well. "So this is why people
smoke" Corey told himself as he thought about the pleasant feeling.
Getting comfortable again on the couch, Corey continued smoking
the cigarette and drinking his beer, barely noticing that with each drag
he took on the cigarette, the more normal it felt. The more at ease he
was with it. Soon he was smoking as though he'd been doing so for
years.
After he was finished with the cigarette, Corey turned off the
TV and went to the stereo, turning that on instead. The volume was on
higher than Corey normally liked, but it didn't bother him any. In
fact, he found himself thinking that the current volume was preferable.
And though Corey was normally more a TV person than music person, he
quickly found himself dancing in the middle of the living room floor,
much to his embarrassment when he realized what he was doing. "What's
happening to me?" he asked aloud, already knowing the answer.
Corey looked over to the stereo, then to the clock, realizing
that it was already almost lunch time. "What am I gonna do?" he asked
himself, thinking how boring it was sticking around the house. Then he
grinned as an idea came to him. Chuckling to himself, Corey walked to
the phone, saying "She did tell me to go see Mom."
Feeling rather nervous, Corey called his Mom up, smiling when he
heard her on the other side saying "Hello?"
"Hi Mo...Brenda" he caught himself quickly, "Guess who."
He heard a chuckling on the other end. "Hi Emily. How's it
going" his Mom asked him. Corey chuckled to himself, thinking that so
far it had worked. His Mom thought he was Auntie Em. He asked her how
things were going, and told her that he got Corey off to school all
right. They talked for a few minutes, with Corey feeling amused the
entire time. Finally he hung up, saying that he was going to come over
for awhile.
Laughing to himself as he picked up the car keys and the purse,
Corey thought that Auntie Em had been right. This was going to be a lot
of fun. A lot of fun indeed.
Emily looked down in disgust at the contents of her plate.
"Damn" she muttered, "I'd forgotten what school food was like." Shaking
her head, she looked around for a place to sit, hoping that she didn't
run into any of Corey's friends. She'd already had to bluff her way past
a couple of them, but she wasn't sure that she could keep doing that
under closer observation. However, she thought that it might be fun to
try.
Feeling mischievous, Emily looked around for something to do.
Here she was, a teenage boy, and she wanted to take advantage of that
while she could. Noticing a pretty girl sitting alone at one table,
Emily smiled to herself and walked over. She sat down next to the girl,
introducing herself as Corey and starting to talk, finding out that the
girls name was Lori. Though the real Corey wouldn't have had the
confidence to that, Emily didn't have that problem. Remembering what it
was like to be a girl that age herself made it very easy for her to get
on Lori's good side.
When lunch was over, Emily walked to the next class, thinking
that Lori seemed to be a rather nice girl. Maybe, she thought, Corey
should hook up with her. She'd always thought that Corey was a little
too shy around girls. The more Emily thought about it, the more she
liked that idea.
Corey sat on the couch in his own living room, talking to his
Mom. It felt strange to be a guest in his own home, and even stranger
to have his Mom talking to him as an equal. More or less. Now though,
she thought of him as her kid sister instead of as her kid. The whole
thing was kind of funny he thought.
Unable to help himself, Corey burst out laughing. He couldn't
believe that his Mom had just told him a dirty joke. He realized with
amusement that Auntie Em was right. His Mom wasn't as stuffy as he
thought. When she wasn't nagging him and stuff, she actually seemed
kind of cool. Not as cool as Auntie Em, but still much better than she
normally was with him.
Fooling his Mom into thinking he really was Auntie Em actually
was pretty easy for Corey. He knew them both pretty well, and his aunt
had told him a lot of things about his Mom behind her back. The hardest
thing about it was remembering to call her Brenda instead of Mom. After
he'd done it a few times though, it got a little easier to remember.
Suddenly, Corey's Mom said "I've got an idea Emily." She
smiled, then continued "Let's go out for lunch. We haven't done that in
awhile." Corey nodded agreement, reaching over for his purse while his
Mom....no, he reminded himself, Brenda, went for her car key's, saying
"I'll drive."
Corey nodded again and smiled back, saying "Let's go then."
They went to a small restaurant that Corey had never been to
before, but obviously Auntie Em and his Mom had. They chatted while
they ate, with Corey listening to his Mom...Brenda... complaining about
how hard things had been lately. About how Corey hadn't done his chores
and how her husband had been ignoring her. Corey felt a little
uncomfortable hearing the complaints about himself, but it gave him a
new perspective on how things were at home. He wasn't the only one who
had problems. Though he wasn't really sure what to do, Corey settled on
listening and nodding, occasionally offering comments on what might
help. Apparently that was what Brenda had expected though.
Once they'd finished eating, Brenda leaned forward and asked
"You wouldn't happen to have a smoke I could get from you, would you?"
Corey was startled at the request, knowing that his Mom didn't
smoke. "Um, sure" he replied, pulling the cigarettes out of the purse
and handing one to Brenda.
As she lit it and blew the smoke out, she said "Thanks. Bob
hates cigarette smoke, so I can't ever smoke anywhere near him or the
house." Then she chuckled, adding "Besides, they're too unhealthy to
smoke very often." Corey just nodded, lighting a cigarette himself
since it seemed to be expected of him.
While they smoked their cigarettes, they continued talking.
Corey felt himself blushing when Brenda pointed at one guy saying "He
sure has a cute ass." He couldn't believe that his own Mom was talking
about cute guys with him. She joked about a couple other guys too,
making Corey ask her if she was that unhappy with her marriage. She just
looked at him strangely and shook her head. "Are you all right?" she
asked Corey. Then she chuckled, "You're the one who keeps saying that
window shopping is all right. Look all you want, but just don't
touch." Corey chuckled at that, then more when Brenda finished, "Just
don't tell Bob said that."
Leaving the resteraunt, they went to the park, and Corey had to
listen to Brenda sigh when she saw the kids playing, then go on, talking
about him when he was little. He felt embarrassed about some of the
things she remembered, and couldn't help but laughing at others. Some
of the things she said though weren't quite the way he remembered them
happening. He shrugged that off though, enjoying the time he was
spending with her. He was seeing a whole new side to Brenda that he'd
never seen before. A whole new personality. With the way she was
acting with him, Corey was finding it easier to think of her as Brenda.
It was like "Mom" was a whole different person. And he kind of liked
Brenda.
Eventually they left the park and did a quick walk through the
mall before heading back home. Brenda sighed, reluctantly saying "I
have to get dinner started." While she was preparing dinner, Corey
watched her and kept talking with her. He was really enjoying himself.
Then the door opened, and Corey turned to see Corey walking in.
It was Auntie Em. As soon as Brenda saw her walking in, Corey saw the
"Mom face" slip back on. "What have I told you about coming in the
house without wiping your feet?" She asked a slightly confused Auntie
Em. Corey chuckled slightly at the look on his old face. "Well" Brenda
continued, "Go and wipe your feet. I am not vacuuming this floor again
today."
Auntie Em nodded then turned then turned to Corey, a knowing
smile on her face. "Hi Co.....Auntie Em."
"Hi Corey" Corey said back, smiling broadly. He watched her
give Brenda....his Mom a dirty look then walk back out to take care of
the dirty feet.
Corey looked at Brenda, who was shaking her head saying "You're
lucky that you don't have any kids to deal with. Teenagers especially."
A minute later Auntie Em was back, and Corey had to play the
role of aunt while she pretended to be him. He thought it was kind of
funny, though a bit embarrassing. If he didn't know better, he would
have thought she was enjoying it even more than him. After thinking
about if for a minute, he wondered if he really did know better.
When his Dad got home, Corey had to remember to call him Bob,
and he watched in amusement while Auntie Em forgot to call him Dad, and
got a brief chewing out for being too formal. He couldn't help but
chuckling at the look on her face. Since they were getting ready to
eat, Corey looked at the meal longingly, then said "I guess I'd better
be going."
"Don't be silly" Brenda said, "You're perfectly welcome to eat
here."
"Yeah Auntie Em" Auntie Em echoed, "You can stay and eat."
Corey noticed the smirk on her face. Actually his face. Then Corey
realized that he'd been expecting her to come back to her apartment so
they could change back, and he hadn't even talked about it to her. As
he sat down to eat, looking across at her, he knew that he'd have to
talk to her privately a little later on.
After eating, Corey talked with Brenda and his Dad....Bob, in
the living room while the real Auntie Em put the dishes into the
dishwasher. Then she was forced by Brenda to go to his room and do
homework. "That kid" Brenda said, shaking her head as Auntie Em walked
away a little unhappily. Corey just smiled, glad that for once it
wasn't him getting it.
Once he'd waited a respectable amount of time, Corey went to his
room to talk to his "nephew." "Yo, Auntie Em" he said as he stuck his
head in, "How was school?" She chuckled, telling Corey that it had been
fine. That she'd had a few small problems, but managed to bluff her way
around them. After they'd talked about their days for a few minutes,
Corey brought up the subject of changing back. "Where's the necklace so
we can change back?"
Auntie Em looked thoughtful, then pulled the necklace out of a
pocket. She rolled it around in her hands then looked back at Corey. "I
guess we could trade back right away" she said, then she smiled
slightly, "Or we could stay this way for another day."
"What?" Corey asked, surprised. He was sure that she would
want to trade back immediately. Why would she want to stay a teenage
boy when she was really an adult woman?
She just smiled mischieviously. "I had fun today. And you said
that you learned a lot about your Mom." Corey nodded. "And I bet you
had some fun too." she teased. "Well, am I right?" feeling himself
beginning to blush a little, Corey nodded yes. "Just one more day. We
can change back to normal tomorrow night."
"I guess" Corey said uncertainly. One more day wouldn't hurt
him any. And he had to admit that he thought it might be kind of fun.
"Then it's settled" she said. A minute later, she added, "You
know that I can't miss too much work, don't you?"
"Yeah" Corey said, already guessing where she was going with
this.
"I did cover for you at school. It's only fair that you cover
for me at work."
Corey protested, "I don't know anything about your work."
Auntie Em snorted. "It's not very hard, and I can teach you."
Corey thought about it, then agreed. She nodded, smiling vaguely, then
began to tell Corey what to expect at the bank she worked at, and about
her co-workers. Corey listened carefully, then she went on to her
actual job, describing to him in detail what he'd have to do.
After awhile, Auntie Em pointed out to Corey that he shouldn't
stay any longer. It would look odd enough that he spent quite that much
time with her, and would be more suspicious if he stayed any longer.
Reluctantly, Corey was forced to admit that she was right. After saying
goodbye to Auntie Em, and leaving his own bedroom, he said a quick
goodbye to his parents.....to Bob and Brenda, then started the drive
back to Auntie Em's apartment.
Emily smiled as she flipped the necklace between her fingers,
glad that she had the extra time she needed. Glancing down at the
unfinished homework, she frowned, then wondered suddenly why she was
even worried about it. It wasn't as if she had done all her own homework
when she was in school, so why worry about Corey's? Shrugging, she
quickly finished up, deciding that she didn't want to get Corey in any
trouble.
Once she had finished up with Corey's homework, she smiled and
picked up the phone. Several seconds later the other end picked up and
Emily smiled, saying "Hello Lori...."
Corey got back to his aunt's apartment and dropped the purse at
the end of the couch, then plopped down on hit himself. Sighing, he
looked at the coffee table, noticing how messy it was. Then he
remembered that earlier he'd left several empty beer bottles on it, the
same way his aunt had before. "Oh my God" he muttered to himself,
staring at the mess, "I've become a slob." Shaking his head, he decided
that he should probably clean it up, but it didn't really seem all that
important. It took him several minutes before he got around to
straightening things up, and tossing the bottles into the garbage.
After grabbing another bottle of beer from the kitchen, he went
back to the couch and started watching TV. It still wasn't all that
interesting, but he stayed where he was and after a few minutes, lit
another cigarette.
Awhile later, he got up and turned the TV off. Though he didn't
really feel tired, Corey knew that he'd have to go to work for Auntie Em
in the morning. Something that he was really dreading. Though at the
same time, he was beginning to look forward to it a little. Going into
the kitchen, Corey glanced at the cupboard that he'd seen the liquor in
earlier, wondering if maybe some of that might help him get to sleep.
He'd remembered hearing somewhere that sometimes a drink before bed can
help a person get to sleep. "Why not?" he said with a shrug, pulling a
bottle of something out of the cupboard. After finding a glass and
throwing an couple ice cubes in it, he poured the contents of the bottle
in, and hoped that it would work.
Taking a deep breath, Corey said "Here goes nothing." then took
a sip from the glass, wincing at the harsh taste. "Nasty." Corey
stared at the liquid in the glass for a moment, wondering just what it
was, then deciding that he didn't really want to know. Taking another
sip, he started walking towards the bedroom, thankful that at least he
wouldn't have to sleep on the couch again that night.
Once in the bedroom, Corey took another sip from the glass,
beginning to enjoy the warm feeling that the stuff gave him as it went
down his throat and into his stomach. Setting it down, he started to
undress, pulling the sandals off first. He stared at his painted red
toe nails for a moment, shaking his head then looking at his fingernails
that were painted up the same way. He hadn't even noticed that he
hadn't had any problems with the fingernails getting in the way since
before lunchtime. Staring at them, he thought how strange it was and how
easily he'd accepted them. And how normal they almost seemed on him.
Taking his mind off of that subject, Corey took another sip from the
glass, then went back to undressing.
When he was only in his panties and bra, he couldn't help but
chuckling. "And here I was avoiding this earlier." her mused to
himself. Finding a fairly large mirror in the corner that would show
his upper body, Corey started posing. After a few seconds of that, he
chuckled and thought how ridiculous it was. "I wish I had a full sized
mirror though." he told himself as he started undoing the bra, "Then it
might be more interesting." Shrugging, he dropped the bra to the floor.
As he reached for his panties, Corey hesitated. Then pulling
his hands away, he reached for his breasts instead, gently cupping them
in his hands and staring down at them. The nipples seemed so much
bigger than his own. And darker as well. Corey gently ran his hands
over them, thinking that he'd had them all day long and hadn't really
looked at them. Standing back up, he looked at himself in the mirror,
thinking how a body Auntie Em had. Or at the moment at least, he had.
Turning a little, Corey posed a little in the mirror, then noticing
something he hadn't before. There was a tattoo on one of his shoulder
blades. Curious, Corey leaned closer to the mirror and saw that it was a
bird of some sort. A raven or a crow, holding a rose in its beak.
"Interesting" Corey said, turning away from the mirror and looking
himself over for other surprises. He found a few scars that he never
possessed, and another tattoo on his left ankle. A ring of thorns run
around the ankle, with a small butterfly above it.
"Amazing" was all Corey could think to say for a moment.
Smiling to himself, he took another couple sips from the glass then set
it back down. Taking a deep breath, Corey pulled off the panties before
he could change his mind. Though he'd seen his new genitals while going
to the bathroom, he'd been reluctant to look at them any more than
necessary. He'd thought that it would be an invasion of his aunt's
privacy. But after ignoring the temptation all day, it suddenly came
back to him again. Looking at the soft mound and moist slit, he knew
that he had to satisfy his curiosity.
Gently, Corey started running his fingers around his vagina.
Around the soft folds of skin and the opening. He gasped as his finger
touched his clitoris, amazed at just how sensitive it was. Corey then
became aware that his nipples had gotten hard. Pinching one, he thought
that it felt a lot like an erection. Remembering some of the things
he'd heard about women, Corey grinned and started rubbing his breasts,
wanting to experience an orgasm as a woman. Suddenly Corey stopped,
grinning wider as he remembered the vibrator in the dresser drawer, then
going to retrieve it.
Corey masturbated himself to orgasm, then with the aid of the
vibrator, he did it again. He was amazed at how good it felt. And at
how easy it was to bring himself to it again. Something that he wished
he could do normally. Sighing, Corey leaned back on the bed, soaking up
the feeling of the afterglow. Chuckling to himself, Corey dug around
his aunt's nightstand, finding another lighter and pack of cigarettes.
After he'd lit another cigarette and blew the smoke out, he went back to
the glass of liquor, slowly finishing both off before going to sleep.
After Corey got up, he remembered that he would have to go to
work for his Auntie Em, groaning as he did so. Knowing that he didn't
have much choice, he decided that he might as well get to it. After
showering, he got dressed, trying to look as professional as he could
with what his aunt had available. It was a little easier than he thought
it would be. However when he got to the hair and makeup, he had a little
more difficulty.
While brushing his hair, Corey found that his hands almost
seemed to know how to take care of things by themselves. Still, he
wasn't used to having long hair, even if it was only to his shoulders.
Once he'd managed to get that done, he had to do the makeup. As much as
he disliked the idea, he knew that he would have to wear some if he was
going to take his aunt's place at work. There was no other choice. With
that in mind, he tried putting it on, smearing it badly the first time.
Sighing, he redid it, being a lot more careful. Again it didn't turn out
right, but Corey noticed that it wasn't nearly as bad. Wondering if
maybe he was putting too much effort into it, he tried it again, trying
to relax this time. That time it came out much better. Not perfect, but
acceptable. His hands had almost seemed to know what they were doing,
but the rest of him didn't which had spoiled the effect some.
Once he was satisfied that he looked acceptable, Corey looked
himself over. He was wearing a knee length dark blue skirt (the longest
one his aunt owned), a white blouse with a dark blue jacket to match his
skirt, stockings (which he found uncomfortable) and a pair of dark blue
pumps that gave him difficulty for a few minutes until he got used to
them. "That ought to do it" Corey told himself, feeling nervous as he
thought about the day ahead of him. "Well, Auntie Em managed at school,
so I can manage here." Still, Corey didn't feel completely relaxed,
and started smoking a cigarette in the hopes that it would calm him
down.
Corey drove to the bank that his aunt worked at, taking a deep
breath before going inside. He felt so nervous and afraid that someone
would know he was a fake. Forcing himself to calm down, he went inside,
determined to do the best he could.
The first part of the morning passed slowly for Corey. He felt
nervous and uncertain. Unsure of what he needed to do. However as he
relaxed, he found himself doing what needed to be done, and getting more
comfortable doing so. He knew the about the other people that worked
there from what Auntie Em had told him, but while he was actually
talking to them, he almost had the feeling that he really knew them. The
same thing happened while he was working. He found himself feeling
familiar with what he was doing. Almost as if he had done it before.
Though he would have been nervous by this realization earlier, having
the extra help at work comforted him.
By lunch, Corey was confident about what he was doing, no longer
feeling afraid of messing up.
Emily laughed at a joke someone told as she sat down for lunch.
All morning she'd gotten to know some of Corey's classmates a little
better, and even made friends with one of them. She was sitting with
several of Corey's friends, who all seemed to accept her, making her
pleased that she'd done this for another day. It reminded her so much
of when she had gone to school there, and she'd even caught herself
several times forgetting for the moment that this was her second time.
Frowning as she took a bite into the nasty lunch meal, Emily
felt immediately sorry for Corey. Having to eat that stuff every day.
Yuck. The sight of Lori walking her way made Emily feel immediately
better. Lori was a cute girl with somewhat short blonde hair. And
smart, though somewhat shy as well. Emily liked the girl and knew that
Corey would as well. Once she introduced them that was.
Feeling pleased with herself, Emily said "hi" to Lori, telling
her to have a seat, still thinking about her plans. She still had some
work to do, and little time to do it in.
After work, Corey went back to Auntie Em's apartment, surprised
though proud of himself for making it through the day. Feeling a little
tired, he sat down for awhile to rest. "I never knew bank telling was
tiring." he said, thinking aloud. It wasn't't hard work in itself, but
the standing all day and dealing with people constantly had worn him
down. "At least I can relax." he told himself, thinking about a nice
warm bath and how nice that would feel.
Finally getting the energy to get up again, Corey went to the
kitchen and debated whether or not to have a beer. After a few seconds
he settled on a sprite instead, thinking that it wouldn't hurt to avoid
getting drunk before changing back to normal. Absently he realized that
he still needed to get ahold of Auntie Em so that they could change
back.
First though, Corey thought as he started undressing, a nice
long soak was definitely called for. With that in mind, he crawled into
the bathtub, letting the matter of the necklace slip from his mind for
awhile. Time enough for that later.
Corey hesitated before knocking on the door. He felt so strange
going to his own home as a guest. After a few minutes, the door opened
and Corey saw his own face peak out. "Auntie Em" he heard in his own
voice, seeing the grin on his old face. "What are you doing here?"
"As if you didn't know" Corey joked back, stepping inside.
"Where is everyone?" he asked, noticing that the car was missing from
the driveway. Auntie Em shrugged and said that they went out for a
date. "Now can we change back?" Corey asked. "I'm enjoying this a
little too much."
Emily chuckled, saying "Um, not quite yet. I have company,
Auntie Em"
"Huh?" Corey asked, then noticed a pretty blonde girl sitting on
the couch, holding some school books.
"Auntie Em" Emily said grinning, "This is Lori. She came over
so we could do our homework together." Emily winked at Corey, seeming
to enjoy his surprise. "Don't worry" she said quietly so Lori couldn't
hear, "We can change back as soon as she leaves." Corey nodded,
wondering just what his aunt was up to. "Mom will be back in awhile"
Emily told Corey, loud enough for Lori to hear, "So why don't you just
around until she gets back."
Sighing, Corey sat down in a chair in the living-room while
Auntie Em sat down next to Lori and they started talking. Corey noticed
that his aunt was taking care to draw him into the conversation as well.
Before he realized it, he was talking and joking with the two of them.
He thought he recognized Lori from school, from one of his classes, but
he'd never really talked to her before. But now that he was talking to
her, he realized that she seemed pretty nice and he kind of liked her.
"Excuse me, but I've got something to take care of for a few minutes"
Auntie Em excused herself, leaving Corey alone with Lori.
At first Corey felt a little uncomfortable, then he reminded
himself how ridiculous that was. At the moment he was an adult woman,
and Lori was a teenage girl. He chuckled lightly to himself and started
talking with her again. After a few minutes, Corey said "I don't
remember Corey ever mentioning you before. How long have you known him?"
Though Corey already knew the answers, he wanted to get to the point a
little slowly.
"I just met him yesterday" Lori said cheerfully, "He's pretty
nice." Then she giggled slightly, "And cute." Corey gulped. She'd just
called him cute. Or at least what he used to look like. For the next
several minutes they talked about "Corey" until Auntie Em came back,
looking somewhat satisfied.
Corey watched her sit back down, wondering just what she was up
to. And not that he really minded, but what was she doing with Lori. She
was really a girl. How could she be flirting with another girl? Corey
didn't know but had a bad feeling. After awhile Lori sighed and said
that she had to go home. Auntie Em walked outside with her to say
goodbye, leaving Corey alone in the living room.
Impatiently, Corey waited for them, wondering just what was
taking so long. Finally Auntie Em came back, looking a little smug.
"So" She said grinning, "How was work today?" Corey grinned back and
told her all about his day, admitting that he'd even kind of liked it.
It may have been work, but it gave him a sort of satisfaction that he'd
never known before to have a real job. Even if it wasn't really his.
"Glad you enjoyed it" She said, "What would you say about one more day?"
"WHAT?" Corey demanded, staring at her in surprise.
She just laughed, saying "I was just joking." Then grinning
broadly, she added "Well mostly." Corey let out a sigh, not knowing
when she was serious. With her it was always hard to tell, but then
again that was one of the reasons he liked her. For a little while they
just sat in the living room, looking across at each other and lost in
their own thoughts. Finally Auntie Em said "We might as well get this
over with." Then she got up and went to Corey's bedroom, coming back a
minute later with the necklace dangling from her hand.
Corey breathed in deeply, then let the breath out. He eyed the
necklace nervously, then accepted it from Auntie Em. Carefully he
slipped it around he neck, then she said "Here, let me" reaching out
towards it with some cloth in her hand.
Seeing a mischievious look on her face, Corey suddenly jumped
back, covering the necklace with his hand. "What are you up to?" he
demanded suspiciously.
"Who me?" she asked, trying to look innocent. Corey grunted,
and made her drop the cloth on the floor.
Picking it up, he glared at his aunt, saying "And I suppose that
Bren....Mom's shirt was just an accident." Corey snorted, tossing the
shirt off to the side, then going to his room himself. He ignored
Auntie Em's chuckling from behind him, going to his room and getting one
of his shirts himself. Once he had it, he gently touched it to the
necklace, hoping that just touching would work and that he wouldn't
actually have to wear it. As soon as the shirt brushed the necklace
though, Corey thought he felt a slight tingling. Satisfied that it must
be working, he went back out to the living room, tossing the necklace to
Auntie Em, and ignoring the temptation to play her own game with her.
And trying to keep his mind off of some of the little girl clothes the
neighbor girl left in the closet the last time she was over. As much
fun as he thought turning her into his kid sister might be, he knew that
it wouldn't work out.
Corey took off his shirt, feeling embarrassed to be
