MAU: The Slayer-Identity Theft
By Allen W.
Previously on MAU: The Slayer
James Stevens used a Morphic Adaptation Unit to turn himself into a copy
of Faith, the rouge Vampire Slayer, from the television show Buffy the
Vampire Slayer and becomes trapped in that form when the machine quits
working. He/She now works with Agent K form the 'Men in Black' to track
down another device to restore his sister, now trapped in the paralyzed
body of a boy named John, and himself back to their original bodies. At
the end of the last episode James/Faith is forced into 'slaying' the
vampiric version of both his brother Dan and the real John, who had
changed himself into a copy of his sister Linda, which leaves James/Faith
racked with guilt.
Prolog
Walter Greenleaf sat behind his desk and smiled with lusty anticipation.
Walter stood 6'5", weighed 300 pounds and was loosing his hair. He had
the face of a boxer, which might have made it difficult for him with the
ladies, if he hadn't been a business genius. He knew his way inside and
out of both legal and illegal ways to make a buck and had never truly
failed at a business venture. Even his minor failures he could manage to
spine in someway to come out ahead.
He had decided at a young age to never get married. "As soon as a woman's
got her hook's in you, you're dead," his father always told him and that
was the only good piece of advice his old man had given him. So he had
never married, but being a near billionaire, he had no problem finding
ladies to keep him entertained. His latest in a long line of 'short-term
companions' was a beauty named Christy St. Claire.
Walter sat behind his lavish desk as Christy St. Claire walked into the
room. She stood 5'7", with long golden hair, an angelic face and a thin
but, shapely frame that had been surgically altered to give her slightly
overly proportional breasts. She slinked in wearing an obscenely tight
red satin dress and was carrying several packages from her latest shopping
excursion. She was a vision and it would have taken Walter's breath away
to see her, if he had already started to grow bored with her. He would
keep her around another few weeks, maybe a month, then find another up and
coming model to replace her with, but for now he would have some fun.
Walter got up from his desk and with a smile that didn't quite reach his
eyes, as he moved towards her.
"Hi Walt," Christy said nervously as she saw the towering man approaching
her. She held the bags she had been carrying out to Walter. "You have to
see what I found at the store today. You won't believe it."
With a brush of his hands he swept the bags to the side and roughly
grabbed Christy, pulled her tightly against him and roughly kissed her.
Christy dropped some of the bags and struggled to pull away from him.
This was something new and Walter liked it. He pulled her in tighter,
slid a hand down the front of her dress and roughly began to fondle her
breasts. She suddenly began squirming in his arms and was trying to
mumble something through his forceful kisses, but she had always like,
hell loved him to be forceful, so he ignored her and continued. She
continued to struggle, finally dropping the last of her packages, which
landed with a dull thud and began hitting Walter with her tiny fists.
Walter couldn't remember the last time he had been so excited and reached
down and started hiking Christy's dress up. She shrieked a muffled cry,
bit Walter's lip, and then managed to break her forced kiss.
"You fucking freak, get the fuck off of me," Christy screamed.
"Oh baby, we should have played this game a long time ago, I am so going
to..."
"This isn't a game you sick fuck! Let me go you fucking fag!" She
screamed. Walter let he go and she staggered backwards and glared up at
him angrily. He thought that she might be ready to take a swing at him,
which really surprised him, but then her face quickly softened and she
seemed to force herself to smile. "Look I've had a bad day and I just
need some time, but I promise I'll...uh, rock your world a little later.
For now I have something to show you that will blow your mind."
Walter watched as Christy reached for one of the bags she had been
carrying. He turned and started walking back over to his desk. He was
already getting bored with her again and decided that tonight would be the
last night that he saw her. He decided that his next girl would have to
be into something really kinky.
"Walt you have to look at this!" Christy said.
"What?" He said turning around. She held what was about the size of a
briefcase in her hands. "So what is it?"
Christy pushed a button on the panel and the tiny briefcase sized shape
rapidly expanded to the size of what looked like a telephone both. Walter
looked at the strange object in shock.
"How did you do that...that was amazing?" He said.
"It's the latest gadget from Japan," Christy said pushing a control panel
and the front door seemed to vanish. "It's a virtual reality chamber.
It's really amazing; you wouldn't believe how life like it really is.
It's programmed for a forest scene right now. Why don't you try it out?"
Walter stepped over to the device carefully. "Is it safe?"
"Yeah, just don't try to walk around. Just step in and push purple button
inside."
Walter looked around the device and looked down at the picture displayed
on the screen.
"What's this?" he said indicating to the image of Christy.
"Oh, it takes a picture of the last person who used it," Christy said
nervously.
"I don't know, it doesn't look that safe," Walter said poking his head in
the door of the box.
"OH come on. I used it and I'm fine. Don't be such a baby, just give it
a try," Christy said in a whinny, almost desperate voice.
"Just for a second," Walter said stepping into the booth and pressing the
purple button.
The door instantly vanished and Christy quickly reached into the purse she
had been carrying and pulled out the can of pepper spray.
The door once again vanished and a duplicate of Christy, one not use to
wearing high heels, stumbled out and began clutching her breasts.
"What the...?" Was all she managed to say before she had received a blast
of pepper spray in the face.
Walter tried to keep his balance, but coughing and strangely off balance,
he felt a set of hands roughly shove him and he stumbled to the floor. He
struggled to open his eyes and when he finally did, he saw the door of the
machine disappearing once again. To his surprise and horror he saw
himself stepping out of the machine with a satisfied look on his face.
The new Walter saw the new Christy struggling in the tight red satin
dress, attempting to stand up. He smiled coldly down at the beautiful
woman.
"Christy, what have you done?" She said fearfully looking up at the new
Walter as he walked up to her.
"First off, I'm not Christy," he said bring his fist back. "And second
off, I'm about to steal all of your money," He said swinging his fist down
against Christy's face, knocking her out cold.
The new Walter reached into the purse and pulled out a cell phone.
"Stage one complete. You two get over here. I'll send the bodyguards
home in the meantime and change you into them when you get here. Then
once we drop 'Christy' off with the police, we'll have all the time we
need to clean out ole Walt's accounts."
End Prolog
Faith, a.k.a. James, sat reclined in the chair, with her hands folded
together with her fingers interlocking, just staring at her thumbs.
Doctor Samantha Green cleared her throat and for the first time in nearly
an hour Faith looked up at the Agency trained psychiatrist and made eye
contact, then her eyes quickly darted back to her thumbs.
"Faith?" Dr. Green said compassionately. "This is your time, so take a
long as you want, take all day if you need to."
There was another long pause in which Faith clenched her hands tighter
together, but she just continued to stare at her interlocked thumbs.
"How about if I do some talking," Dr. Green started. "After our last talk
I thought that you might not want to come back, but when I heard you had
called to make an appointment I was looking forward to the chance of
getting to talk to you again."
"I..." Faith started, but the next word died in her throat before should
could say anymore.
"Faith, we can talk about whatever you want to talk about, but you have to
say something. Believe me I know it can be very difficult, but I am here
to help you work through whatever issues you have. You will just have to
trust me and talk to me. Nothing we say here leaves this room."
"I...killed my...brother Dan," Faith said squeezing her hands tightly
together, her nails digging into the back of her hands. Faith began to
shake until she finally broke down and sobbed.
Dr. Green handed Faith a box of Kleenex.
"And I killed John, the person who was living my sister Linda's life. She
was a vampire and was trying to kill me, but I just killed her without a
thought. Then Dan was going to kill Linda, the real Linda...he had his
hands on her throat and was going to crush her windpipe, so I shot him
with my..." Faith choked up. "My crossbow. He burst into dust, just
like John had just done and I still felt nothing. Oh God, I'm some kind
of monster," James cried.
"You're not a monster Faith," Dr. Green said. "As you said if you hadn't
acted, then your sister would now be dead. You did what you had to do to
save her."
"It's not that simple Doc," Faith said wiping away the tears. "I didn't
even try to think of another way, I just acted, without a thought and now
my brother and sister are dead. Well, I mean Linda's alive, but Mom and
Dad will never see any of us again."
"What has Linda said about what has happened?"
"I..." Faith said looking down at the floor. "I couldn't talk to her. I
still can't. She saw me kill our brother."
"Faith you have to listen to me, if you hadn't done that, then Linda would
now be dead, and I am sure she understands that."
"I know that too Doc, but it doesn't make things any easier. Every time I
close my eyes I see myself stabbing my sister in the heart with a wooden
stake and her bursting into dust. Every time I try to sleep I wake up
screaming about just having killed Dan. I can't go on like this anymore.
I feel like I am loosing it."
"You have been through so much Faith..," Dr. Green started to say, but
Faith interrupted.
"Call me James," Faith snapped.
"Why the sudden change in names?"
"I'm not a Slayer, I am just a guy trapped in a slayers body and it's time
I stopped pretending to be something I'm not. I just want..." but Faith
trailed off.
"Just want what?"
"Nothing," Faith said in a whisper.
"Faith...James, changing your name won't change who you are on the inside
or who you appear to be on the outside. What happened was unfortunate,
but you did what you had to do to save your sister, your real sister. And
I think you should talk to her and work your way through these feelings of
guilt. She can help you do that, and maybe she can give you a reason to
keep going."
Faith sprang to her feet and started towards the exit.
"Sorry doc, this was a big mistake. I should never have come here. Maybe
in this one thing I am still a 'normal' guy, but I don't think talking
over my feelings will help. I just need to work this out on my own.
Goodbye."
Faith was through the exit and gone in a flash. Dr. Green finished
writing some notes on a yellow note pad and looked up at the man as he
came in from the door on the opposite side of the room.
"Can you see the danger I am talking about now?" Dr. Green said to the
man. "She is becoming more and more unstable, it's only a matter of time
before she has a complete breakdown."
"And you are still recommending her elimination?"
"Absolutely!" Dr. Green said coldly.
"Well, I am still in charge and the 'area 51 boys' guarantee there
prototype is ready to be tested and Faith would be the perfect subject."
"You mean James?" Dr. Green added.
"Whichever. If it comes down to it, the 'area 51' device will be
implanted and she won't be a problem anymore. Now did you get what I
asked for?"
Dr. Green pulled out a chrome semiautomatic tranquilizer dart pistol and
slid it across the desk to the man.
"One shot from this would knock out a loin, it should be more than enough
to handle Faith if she gets out of line."
"You had better be right about this," the man said picking up the pistol
and sliding it into his jacket.
"You may think she will give you an edge on getting a working alien
device, but even with all of her abilities, she is still just a girl and
this will knock her right out. But if it comes to the point of using it,
you should just use your gun, that is what got you where you are."
"You would be wise not to push me Samantha, but if it comes down to it,
she is a guinea pig for the lab boys pet project."
Faith walked in the front door of her apartment and went straight for the
Jack Daniel's bottle. She picked it up, but stopped when she saw the
picture on the refrigerator. Holding the bottle she saw the image of her
old body, Dan and Linda, all in a line with their arms draped over each
other's shoulders.
Faith tipped back the bottle and drank down the last few swallows then
threw the bottle against the wall, shattering it into a thousand pieces.
Faith began searching in hopes of finding another bottle, when the phone
started to ring. Faith froze at the sound, fearful that it might be his
sister Linda. Linda, who was now trapped in the recently paralyzed body
of John Miller, had in the past had John's mother dial the phone for her
and prop it by her head so that she could talk. James wanted to answer
the phone, but instead let it go to the answering machine.
"Faith, if you're there pick up, it's Kyle."
Faith picked up the phone recognizing the voice of Agent K.
"Hello."
"Faith! I'll be there in five minutes. We have a sighting of an active
device, at least it was twelve hours ago."
Within an hour Faith and Agent K were walking into an integration room of
a police station. At the table sat an angry blond woman with a black eye
and disheveled long blond hair. Both Faith and Agent K couldn't help but
glance down at the cleavage that seem to spill out of the top of her red
satin dress. Her eyes lit up with anger as she saw the two of them.
"You have got to be kidding me," she said angrily in her sultry alto
voice. "These two are feds? Fucking great, just fucking great! We need
some senior agents in here, not an agent in training and his girlfriend.
They stole my body and they're about to steal my money."
"Thank you officer," Agent K said closing the door, leaving just the three
of them in the room. "Now Miss, please..."
"God damit it, how many times do I have to tell you people that I am not a
god dam chick! I'm Walter Greenleaf and someone stole my body."
"Alright Mr. Greenleaf, tell us what happened," Agent K said nonchalantly
as he sat down at the table. Faith couldn't help but stand back in the
corner and remember the night when she had first meet Agent B and Agent W,
when she had been locked up for observation in the mental ward at the
hospital.
The attractive blond quickly recounted the events of the previous evening,
how he had been changed into this body, being knocked out and upon waking
up, being placed under arrest and charged for attempting to steal money
from Walter Greenleaf and attacking one of his security guards, who then
knocked her out when she was discovered.
"Look, I know I sound fucking nuts," the blond pleaded. "But I'm not
crazy. I am really Walter Greenleaf. You have to help me."
"I believe you," Faith said stepping up to the table. "We'll do what we
can to help you."
After they finished up with a few more questions they stepped out into the
hallway.
"It could still be working," Faith said tensely. "We have to find it."
"We will, but first we have to figure out the plan of whoever took Mr.
Greenleaf's body. I don't think they are planning to just take over his
life, if they were then they probably would have killed the new Ms. St.
Claire when they had the chance, but then again who knows what they did to
the real one. More then likely they are planning to empty a number of his
bank accounts, which is something we can track. One thing for sure is
they are not professionals, so they are bound to due something stupid and
when they do, we'll be there."
"I just hope they make their mistake before the dam machine quits
working."
"Amateurs always make mistakes. I'm going to makes some calls to get
every available agent we have out here. Why don't you head out to the car
and go over the gear, make sure to have you mini crossbow ready, we may
need it."
"Alright," Faith said heading outside.
Agent K made a quick phone call. After he finished the call, he was
heading towards the exit when the officer in charge approached him.
"So what did you want us to do with Ms. St. Claire?" The officer asked.
"I don't have time for this," Agent K said looking at his watch as he
continued to walk toward the exit. "The poor girl is obviously
delusional. How could she possibly be Walter Greenleaf? Send her off for
evaluation. If she's not trying to fake an insanity plea, maybe with time
they can 'cure' her of this dementia."
"Alright Agent," the officer said as he watched Agent K leave the station.
"Off to the nuthouse she goes," the officer said to himself as he turned
and headed down the hallway.
Arthur and Frank sat on the shabby couch in their run down apartment and
looked up at the Morphic Adaptation Unit as Walter Greenleaf stepped into
it and the door closed behind him. Within a few seconds the door opened
once more and a skinny, blond, twenty-five year old named Grant stepped
out of the machine.
"God I am glad to be back to myself again," Grant said a picked up a white
fluffy cat that was sprawled out on an easy chair. "But after tomorrow we
will be ten million dollars richer," Grant said as he tossed the cat aside
and collapsed onto the chair. The cat landed, then turned and hissed at
him.
"Man I have to hand it to you Grant, this plan of yours was brilliant,"
Frank said.
"That sucks that we can't get all of his money though," Arthur said taking
a piece of day old pizza from a pizza box that was left on the floor.
"Yeah, who knew that we couldn't get more cash than that in a days
notice," Frank said. "And we have to go to five different banks to
collect all the cash too. To bad we couldn't open an off shore account in
Switzerland or some place."
"Dude, I told you, that stuff can be traced. At least I think it can.
With cash we are free and clear, no trails to follow. And when we spend
the ten million we just do this all over again," Grant said.
"Too bad you could't just stayed as the Greenleaf guy and just kept all
his money."
"No way," Grant said. "I wouldn't want to be some old fat guy. Besides
what do I know about running a business? It's better to just get the
money and run."
"So what was it like being Christy?" Frank said picking up the cat and
scratching it behind the ears.
"Yeah!" Arthur added. "You were one hot piece of ass! I totally wanted
to do you!"
"Shut the fuck up!" Grant snapped. "I don't even want to think about
it," Grant said remembering how he had barely been able to fight off
Walter's advances.
"I ain't no fag, but I would have done you all night long," Arthur
laughed.
"Why don't you get in the machine and see what it's like?" Grant snapped.
"Hell no! I don't want to be no chick," Arthur laughed. "But I sure
would like to do one!"
"Hey guys? Speaking of chicks..." Frank said petting the cat. "When are
we going to change Christy back to normal?"
"Yeah!" Arthur said leering at the cat. "We can change her back to
normal and fuck the shit out of her!"
"What are you, a fucking moron? We ain't fucking changing anyone into
anything until we are ready to go get our money tomorrow," Grant said
getting up from the easy chair. "Until then we are just going to stay in,
watch some fucking TV and then in the morning I'll change back into
Greenleaf and you two will be my bodyguards."
"But we want to be like big like pro wrestlers?" Arthur added.
"Whatever!" Grant snapped.
"But what about Christy?" Frank asked again.
"Well see...after we get back," Grant said turning on the TV. "Awesome
they are just starting a Schwarzenegger marathon."
"Bingo!" Agent K said as he hung up the phone. "The amateurs made their
mistake!"
"What's that?" Faith asked.
"They have made arrangements with five different banks to pick up two
million dollars tomorrow. So when they show up to pick up the cash, we
will have them. We'll stake out the Union Trust Bank and I have made
arrangements for agents to be at the other four banks."
"Hopefully the machine will still be working by tomorrow. If we get it I
can heal Linda and..." Faith fell silent.
"Are you going to change back in to your old body?" Agent K said quickly
changing the subject, as he knew Faith was beginning to think about her
brother Dan.
"I...I...of course I am, why would you even ask that?" Faith said
surprised.
"Well, I figured that maybe you might stay...you know...as you are."
"Why would I...I mean...this isn't even my real body," Faith said
flustered.
"It's your body as long as you don't change it, but that's your decision.
You don't have to decide that right now, but since this might be your last
night as...my partner, we should go out and celebrate."
"What are you talking about? One of those alien machines is out in the
city and we have to find it," Faith said.
"Needle in a haystack. We already found out that the Greenleaf's place
appears disserted and unless they do something really reckless with the
machine, we'll never be able to find them so we might as well have some
fun tonight. What do you say? Unless you have some idea on how we can
find them?"
"Well no, but..."
"Look, we know where they will be in sixteen hours, until then we should
have some fun at the taxpayers expense...what do you say?"
"OK, what did you have in mind?" Faith said reluctantly.
Faith looked at her reflection in the mirror of her of hotel room. She
wore a tight red dress that fell just below her knees. It hugged the
curves of her body and was held up only by two small spaghetti straps and
exposed a tasteful amount of her cleavage.
"How did I let Kyle talk me into this?" Faith thought as she finished
getting ready.
Just then she heard a knock on the door that connected the two hotel
rooms. Faith went over an unlocked the connecting door and Agent K
stepped in.
"Wow," he said looking at Faith. "You look really...wow."
"You too," Faith said feeling a little embarrassed as she blushed and
tried to change the subject. "So how did you get these clothes together
so quickly?"
"Always be prepared, that's my moto," Agent K said. "That dress looks
really good on you."
"You know Kyle, I don't know that I am comfortable wearing this out in
public. I feel kind of...foolish."
"You look anything but foolish in that dress," he said with a smile.
"I think maybe I should wear something else."
"You look great and there's no time to change, we have reservations at one
of the best restaurants in town."
Kyle I..." Faith started, but Agent K interrupted.
"Come on Faith, this might be you last night in that body, so you might as
well go out in it once dressed as a real 'girl'. Oh and I have a present
for you too," he said reaching into his pocket and pulling out a driver's
licenses with a red bow stuck to it.
Faith pulled the bow off and looked at the name on the license.
"Tina Millsap?" Faith said.
"It's a fake id. Since your official id has you listed as a minor, this
will give you a little more freedom. Especially if you want to drink
legally, instead of shoplifting bottles from the local liquor store."
"Thanks...I guess...Tina? Do I look like a Tina? And what the hell is a
Millsap?"
"Oh come on, it's a fake id. It's not like it's you new name. Now lets
get going."
Faith, a.k.a James, felt so weird as he entered the exclusive restaurant
and noticed all the sets of eyes suddenly looking at him as he made his
way with Agent K to their seats.
"This is so strange," Faith thought as Agent K pushed in the seat for him
at the table.
They ordered dinner and a bottle of expensive wine. Throughout the
evening Agent K made sure to steer the conversation as far away from
Faith's family, especially her brother Dan, as possible.
"So are you having a good time?" K asked.
"I actually am," Faith said taking a sip of wine. "I felt a little weird
at first, but this is actually kind of nice."
The five-piece orchestra started to play some light dance music and
several of the couples got up and started dancing. Faith noticed and
looked around a little uncomfortably.
"Would you like to dance?" K asked.
"What?" Faith said a little surprised.
"You looked like you wanted to dance."
"No, I just...this is a little weird all of the sudden. This isn't a
date, is it?"
"What?" K now said in a surprised tone. "What makes you say that?"
"I guess I just thought we were both having a night on the town, but it
just suddenly seemed more like a date than two guys hanging out together."
"Faith, lighten up. While I can't really say we are two 'guys' hanging
out together, we are two people who work together just having an expensive
meal on the company credit card."
"OK," Faith said taking another sip of wine.
"And you were the one who was looking expectantly about being asked to
dance, which was the only reason I asked you."
"I did not," Faith said defensively.
"Well you were sending off a weird vibe, so I just decided to ask you, but
now that I have, let's do it. Would you like to dance?"
"What? No way, that is too weird. I'm a guy remember."
"Tomorrow you will be, but for now you are a very lovely young lady, who
like I have said before could seriously kick my ass, so would you like to
have just one dance before return to your old body and life?"
Faith looked at Kyle for a moment, took a large swallow of wine and said.
"OK."
Agent K led Faith out on to the dance floor and slowly wrapped his arms
around her. Faith felt the strong reassuring arms embracing her and she
felt the tension and awkwardness of the situation slowly ebbing away.
Within moments she felt herself resting her head against Kyle's shoulder
as they swayed to the gentle music of the orchestra.
"Does this still seem weird?" K asked.
"No," Faith whispered. "This is really, really nice."
"Good," K said holding her slightly tighter.
"I actually feel safe in your arms." Faith had wanted to say, but instead
remained quiet.
After the dance they went back to the table, had dessert and finished the
bottle of wine.
"It's freezing out here," Faith said as they stepped out of the
restaurant.
Without a word Agent K put his arm around Faith and drew her closer to
him. Faith tensed for a moment, but then nuzzled closer to him for warmth
as they walked to the car. Agent K opened Faith's door for her and within
a few minutes they were back at the hotel.
"Well I had a wonderful evening tonight Faith," K said standing at the
door to her hotel room. "Did you?"
"I...did," Faith said looking up into Kyle's eyes and feeling a strange
longing. A longing she had been fighting to suppress ever since she had
used the device to change into Faith so many months ago. The desire was
now unbearable. Faith could feel her willpower starting to fail and the
needs of her new body consuming his resolve. A part of her wanted nothing
more than to kiss Kyle right then and there, but without a word Faith
quickly entered her hotel room and closed the door behind her.
Faith leaned against the door until she could hear that Kyle had gone into
his room.
"What the hell was that?" Faith thought as she stormed over to her
suitcase and started to open it. "I'm loosing control. I can feel that I
wanted to, hell, I still want to and it's taking everything I have not to
go knock on his door. God dam this horny body."
Faith opened the suitcase looking for the bottle of Jack Daniels she had
packed, but instead she caught sight of the picture of her old body, Dan
and Linda, all in a line with their arms draped over each other's
shoulders.
"Oh fuck," she whispered as she looked down at the picture of her now
paralyzed sister and brother that she had slain. Her hands shock as she
picked up the picture and a single tear started to run down her cheek.
Shakily, she put down the picture and turned and walked towards the
connecting door between her and Kyle's room. Wiping the tear from her eye
she knocked on the door.
"You forget something?" Kyle said opening the door.
"Yeah," Faith said stepping into the room and closing the door behind her.
She walked up to Kyle and pulled his face to hers. "This..," She said as
she kissed him, passionately.
Over coming his surprise, Kyle quickly started to return the passionate
kiss. He felt himself forcibly being pushed backwards until he stumbled
onto the bed. Within a heartbeat Faith was on top of him, straddling him
and kissing him roughly.
Faith was lost in the lusty passion as their tongues danced in unison, but
quickly she spasmed in excitement and exhaled as she suddenly felt a pair
of strong hands firmly squeezing her breasts.
"Oh my God yes," she said as wave of excitement washed over her, her lips
once again hungrily meeting Kyle's. Deftly Kyle's hands slid the
spaghetti straps off of Faith's shoulders and she quickly slid her arms
out of them. In a flash she felt her weight being shifted as she was
rolled onto her back and Kyle rolled on top of her. The dress was pulled
down to her waist and Faith moaned in ecstasy as Kyle began kissing
Faith's neck and began running his tongue down towards her breasts. He
teased her for a few moments as he ran his tongue along the edge of her
nipples, but then took her nipple in his mouth and roughly began to suck
on it.
"Oh god YES," Faith screamed as Kyle continued his attentions and then
quickly switched to her other breast. "It feels so good," Faith said
almost sobbing.
Kyle scooted forward and began kissing Faith again and she greedily
accepted his tongue.
Faith ripped Kyle's shirt open, sending the buttons scattering across the
floor. Kyle tore the remnants of his shirt off and tossed it aside.
A moan escaped Faith's lips as Kyle continued to run his hands along her
aroused body. As they passionate kissed, Faith ran her hands along Kyle's
arms and back, feeling his firm muscles as she did so.
Kyle lustfully pulled Faith up into a sitting position and pulled her
dress up over her head and tossed it onto the floor. Faith looked at him
hungrily and started kissing him again.
Faith's hands shock from both fear and desire as she shakily reached for
Kyle's belt. Fumbling tentatively with an excitement that defined
description, Faith loosened Kyle's belt and pants. Frantically Kyle slide
off his pants and underwear.
Faith could now feel Kyle's firm member brushing up against the inside of
her thigh and she slowly moved her hand to it. Kyle let out a gasp as
Faith touched his manhood. Faith held him in her hand, felling at one
time a strong sense of desire and power at his reactions to her touch, but
at the same time it reminded her of the strangeness of this situation and
all that she had lost. Without a conscious thought she slowly pulled her
hand away and wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"I need to go get ah...you know," Kyle said whispering into Faith's ear as
he slowly started to pull away.
"A what?" Faith whispered dizzily.
"Condom." Kyle whispered back as he pulled off his socks.
"Hurry," Faith said urgently as Kyle darted into the bathroom naked.
Reaching down she quickly slipped off her moistened underwear and she
touched her womanhood.
"Oh god is this what it's really like?" She thought trembling with
anticipation. "Am I really going to do this? But I've always been the
one that wears the condom in the past, this is just..." She paused
hearing Kyle fumbling through a travel bag in the bathroom.
"I can't do this," she thought as she started to rise, but stopped as she
felt her body quiver with an unquenchable desire that needed to be
satiated. A cold shiver ran through her body and she shook with a
desperate longing. Faith looked over at the light that hung over the
table; in a flash she had picked up one of Kyle's shoes and flung it with
deadly accuracy. The bulb in the hanging lamp shattered and the room went
dark.
"Is everything alright in there?" Kyle called from the bathroom.
"Yes!" Faith said nearly breathless. "Just hurry up! And turn the light
out in the bathroom when you find the...uh."
"Found it," Kyle said as the bathroom light turned out.
Faith's eyes started to adjust to the sudden darkness and she could make
out a figure making its way across the room. In her mind she tried to
trick herself into believing that she was once again in her male body and
that in the darkness it was one of her past girlfriends, maybe Kelly or
even Susan, but Faith knew that that wasn't true. That she definitely
wasn't in her male body. She could feel the erect nipples on her heaving
chest that ached for attention, and damp desire between her legs was like
no erection that she had ever had as a man. And now she could make out
the unmistakable form in the darkness of a man as the mattress shifted
with Kyle's weight as he climbed onto the bed.
They instantly embraced and hungrily there tongues meet and danced
passionately together. Faith moaned as Kyle's strong hands slid over her
breasts and deftly fondled them. A sensation like nothing Faith had ever
experienced was beginning to build within the core of her being.
The unmistakable sound of a condom wrapper being torn open both terrified
and excited Faith further. She ran her hands along Kyle's face as he
brought his hands down and began to slip on the condom. Faith's trembling
body ached as Kyle finished and leaned forward to kiss her. She
desperately returned the kiss and whimpered with anticipation as she
instinctively spread her legs wider. Faith gradually felt a gentle
pressing against her womanhood and she moaned expectantly as the pressure
increased.
"Oh my god," she whimpered as she felt her body begin to yield Kyle's
manhood. She helplessly squirmed at the strange sensation of Kyle's
member sliding inside of her, but she unconsciously wrapped her legs
around him and drew him deeper into her. Feeling her urging, Kyle pulled
a little bit back and then slid all the way in.
"OH MY..." Faith shook as her fingers and toes curled. "Yes!" she said
almost crying.
Kyle began to take long slow deep thrusts into her and she began to
reflexively thrust her hips in unison with his. A blissful eternity swept
over Faith's consciousness as Kyle began to thrust faster. She felt an
unimaginable ecstasy erase all the pain and fear that she had held within
her. This ecstasy seemed to just keep growing and growing, like a bubble
inside her, until she was afraid that it would engulf her forever. Just
when she thought that she couldn't take it anymore it, it exploded within
her and sent an orgasmic wave that rocked her entire body.
"YES! Oh God YES," she screamed. Her fingernails dug deeply into Kyle's
back and with her legs she forced him as deep as he would go into her. He
leaned down and kissed her. Lost in bliss, she returned the kiss and a
radiant smile. Kyle looked down at her and then brushed his right hand
against her face. Faith took his hand and kissed it, as he continued to
gently thrust into her. Impulsively she kissed his index finger and then
slid it into her mouth. Running her tongue along it, she began to suck on
it, but suddenly gasped as she felt Kyle begin to thrust faster and deeper
into her.
Faith was once again lost in a blissful wave of ecstasy, when she suddenly
felt Kyle's body begin to spasm and he moaned and began thrusting
frantically into her.
"Yes!" Faith screamed as another orgasmic wave sweep throughout her body
as she felt Kyle give one last prolonged deep thrust into her as he let
out a prolonged moan.
He collapsed onto her panting, still buried deep within her and sighed.
Faith's body continued to helplessly spasm as she felt his weight on top
of her. Without a thought she kissed him gently and then smiled.
Faith felt him slowly withdrawing himself from her and she tried to hold
him in, but he slipped out and she felt a sudden sense of loss. He laid
down next to her and she felt his arms wrap around her. After some time
he started to say something, but Faith put a finger to his lips to silence
him and just curled up in his arms. Faith closed her eyes and just lay in
his arms until she blissfully fell asleep.
Faith opened her eyes and saw the first signs of morning showing through
the curtains. She still felt Kyle's arms wrapped around her and sighed,
feeling both a sense of connection and a sense of revulsion.
"I really had sex last night," Faith thought as she carefully lifted
Kyle's arm off of her. She stopped and deeply inhaled the scent from
Kyle's hand and then gently kissed it. Then she carefully set it aside so
she could get out of the bed. She quietly snuck out of the room, back
into her own and locked the door.
"I can't believe I did it with Kyle," she thought as she made her way to
the shower. She could still smell him all over her body as she turned on
the water. She hesitated just as she was about to step into the shower,
crossing her arms and bring them up to her face she inhaled deeply and
could smell the musty scent of Kyle still on her body. She inhaled again
deeply and wanted to do so again, but then stepped into the shower to wash
it away.
After cleaning up and getting dressed in a jogging outfit, she wrote a
note to Kyle, stepped out into the hallway and went to slip it under his
door. The door swung open and Kyle was standing there in a bathrobe.
"Morning," Kyle said looking down at Faith.
"Uh...morning. I was going to go for a quick jog," Faith said crumpling
up the note.
"You want to come in and talk? Maybe order breakfast?"
"No. I just need to...go for a run," Faith said standing up.
"Faith about last night, I don't..."
"Please don't."
"I don't want this to weird you out, OK. We can talk about it later, when
you want, but we are still partners and have a job to do."
"I know...I am just a little freaked out right now. I mean I'm not...last
night was...look I don't even know what I am talking about."
"Look, I understand. Take all the time you need," K said.
"OK," Faith said with a weak smile. "I'll be back in a little while, I
just need some time to think."
"Alright, just be back by eleven."
"You got it." Faith said hesitating for a moment and then headed for the
elevator. She was grateful when she pushed the button that the elevator
doors opened immediately. As she pushed the button for the lobby, and as
she turned she saw that Kyle was still watching her from the doorway of
his room. Faith felt her heart skip a beat when their eyes meet, but was
then grateful when the elevator doors finally closed.
"This isn't right, this isn't right, this isn't right!" Faith thought as
she paced back and forth in the elevator. "I'm a man who likes girls!
I'm not a girl who likes men! God I am so fucking confused. It took
everything I had not to kiss him back there. What's wrong with me?"
Faith thought as she left the elevator, but already knew the answer.
As Faith started to leave the lobby of the hotel, but she stopped and
looked back at the elevator for what seemed like an eternity. "No," she
thought as she turned towards the exit. "God help me, I want to go back
and feel his arms around me again. To have him touch me and...NO! NO,
NO, NO...what happened last night was a mistake and it will never happen
again!" Faith thought as she started to jog, but then quickly broke into
a run and then into a full on sprint. As she ran, she tried not to think,
but try as she might she knew that her feelings for Kyle had now changed
in a way she didn't want to admit.
"You guys ready?" Grant said in the body of Walter Greenleaf.
"Fuckin'A!" Arthur said getting out of the car. He now looked like a
cross between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, standing six foot ten, with
a long mane of blond hair tied back into a ponytail. "I could take any
professional wrestler alive and kick his sorry pansy ass!"
"Just don't do anything stupid," Frank said stepping out of the car. He
now stood six foot five with an appearance similar to that of Dwayne 'The
Rock' Johnson, but with a sight Samoan appearances and a full body of
tattoos that we hidden by the suit that he wore.
All three men were dressed in black suits, flawlessly identical to the
suits from the movie Reservoir Dogs as they walked towards the bank.
"Don't worry about it," Grant said striding with confidence, as Frank and
Arthur followed behind him on both sides. "If trouble comes, you both
have enough firepower to take care of it and if something happens and we
need a quick escape, well always have this with us," Grant said tapping
the suitcase-sized box he held under his arm. "Now there shouldn't be any
problems, but stay frosty and be ready for anything!"
Grant paid attention to every detail as they entered the bank. The size
of the room, the number of customers, the number of bank tellers, the way
everyone there looked up in surprise as the three large men, one almost
seven feet tall, entered the bank... "Wait a second," Grant thought seeing
a man in black. "That guy in black filling out the deposit form only
glanced up for a second and didn't show the same look of awe that everyone
else seemed to have...that's weird," he thought and then caught sight of a
short, knockout of a brunet that looked strangely familiar. "And the way
she is looking at us seems different than the rest too, like she is sizing
us up or something," he thought and caught her eyes. She smiled at him
and then he began to think that he was just getting paranoid, however when
she looked down and caught sight of the box that he was carrying, he
watched as her entire expression changed to one of both shock and
recognition. "She knows what it is...something is really wrong here."
"We're aborting," Grant said in a whisper and turned to leave.
"Why?" Frank whispered in response.
"Something's not right...that girl and that guy in black?" Grant suddenly
realized that guy in black had moved from where he was and was now
standing by the front entrance in front of the exit and it looked like he
was drawing a gun.
"It's a trap! Waste em!" Grant screamed and ran towards the back of the
bank getting ready to use the box. He had only planned to use the box to
change their appearance if they were on the run; he hadn't thought that
they would actually get into a firefight.
"What am I going to do?" He thought in a panic as he heard the sounds of
gunfire behind him. A woman screamed and people were diving for cover.
In a flash he scrambled over the front counter and saw several tellers
diving under desks and running for cover. He ducked down and hit the
button that made the box grow to its full size. Within a few seconds it
grew from the size of a briefcase to roughly the size of a phone booth.
He looked up at the screen that showed the current body he wore and tried
to think of what he could change into that would get him out of this mess,
when he suddenly got an idea.
"This had better work!" He thought as he put his hand to the screen and
saw the form slowly start to change.
"It's a trap! Waste em!" Faith heard the one who looked like Greenleaf
scream and then everything started happening fast. Faith saw Greenleaf
running away and was about to go for him, when she saw Kyle and the two
men drawing guns on each other. Kyle pulled out two Glock 19's as the two
men each drew out a MAC 10.
Kyle fired as he dove behind a marble planter hitting the large blond one
in the chest with all four shots that he fired.
The two men sprayed bullets at Kyle as he dove, but both were firing
wildly. Suddenly Arthur stumbled backwards as the four rounds hit him.
"Ah shit!" He muttered as he fell to his knees.
Faith ran up behind the Samoan and landed two hard punches to his kidneys.
Knocking the guy forward. He turned and lowered his gun towards Faith,
but she swung up a leg and kicked it out of his hands. Then she stepped
forward and landed a punch in the center of his chest then knocked him up
against the planter.
The blond one, with some effort raised his gun to fire at Faith. Just as
he was about to pull the trigger Kyle leaped up from behind the planter
and fired a single shot into the left eye of the blond giant who fell to
the ground dead.
Faith turned and saw the blond man's body fall lifelessly to the ground
and then turned and landed a punch into the stunned Samoan's face,
knocking him unconscious.
"Where's the box!" K shouted as he stepped out from behind the planter.
Faith and K turned to see 'Greenleaf' stepping into the Unit and the door
close behind him.
"Ah shit!" Faith said breaking into a run. She sprinted towards the
front counter and was about halfway to it when the door once again
vanished and a figure stepped out of the booth.
Time seemed to slow down as Faith's mind processed the unusual, but highly
recognizable, figure that stepped out of the booth. He stood six foot
two with short brown hair, wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses,
and in one hand he carried an Uzi and in the other he carried an HK-93
machine gun with a grenade launcher mounted underneath it. He bore an
unmistakable resemblance to a younger Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"It's the fucking Terminator!" Faith whispered in awe as she stumbled
backwards in surprise. The arm of the cybernetic body that now housed
Grants brain stepped forward raising the Uzi towards Faith and began
firing.
With super human reflexes Faith dove for cover behind a desk as the hail
of bullets sprayed from the Uzi.
The terminator continued to fire at Faith, when it was suddenly hit by six
successive shots that struck it in the chest. Hardly noticing the 9mm
rounds striking it, the thing dropped the now empty Uzi to the floor and
raised the HK-93 towards Agent K who continued to fire. In desperation, K
once again dove behind the marble planter where the Samoan still lay
unconscious. Taking no notice of his unconscious friend, the Terminator
fired the grenade launcher towards the planter. The planter exploded as
the grenade struck it, sending debris flying, blowing out most of the
windows in the bank and instantly killing Frank.
"KYLE!" Faith screamed terrified as she saw the remnants of the planter
through a cloud of dust. In the blink of an eye she had snapped out her
mini-crossbow and was firing an explosive tipped arrow at the things
chest. It struck the thing where a human heart would have been and stuck
in it's fleshy exterior.
"You're terminated fucker!" Faith said pressing the remote detonating
device in the handgrip. The arrow exploded, but to Faith's horror the
figure still stood there. She could see that a portion of its out 'human'
flesh was torn away, but underneath it a shinning metal exoskeleton was
now partially visible.
The thing looked down at its chest and then up at Faith as it gave her a
quick 'you're shit out of luck' smile. It raised the HK-93 and Faith once
again quickly dove for cover. Rounds tore threw the desk just barely
missing Faith as she frantically scrambled to get out of the way.
The thing stopped firing and turned towards the MAU and pressed something
on its control panel. The device instantly shrank back down to the size
of a briefcase and was picked up by the thing and carried under its left
arm. Walking in a very 'terminator like' fashion he stepped out from
behind the tellers counter and started towards the exit. A tattered Agent
K, with his left arm hanging stiffly to his side, stepped out from behind
the planter and stood in front of the on coming Terminator. Agent K
raised the gun in his right hand towards the thing's left eye and fired.
There was a metallic pinging sound as the bullet ricocheted off the things
armored body. K fired a second shot which also had no effect. The thing
was raising the HK-93 towards K when an explosive arrow collided into the
side of its head and exploded. The HK-93 fired wildly sending a shower of
bullets off to K's right and blew out a still intact window.
Faith was quickly loading another arrow and also setting it to explode on
impact. She looked up to see the thing still moving forward towards Kyle.
Most of Arnold's face had been blown away to reveal the highly
recognizable and completely undamaged terminator skull underneath. Faith
felt a sinking feeling in her chest and a helpless terror as the thing
raised its gun once more towards Kyle. In a flash her last arrow flew.
It struck the HK-93 and exploded, sending the guns remnants flying out of
the hand of the grotesque cyborg. Faith sprang out from behind her cover
and sprinted towards the two figures wishing she had some other weapons
besides a spring loaded expandable baton and a eight-inch throwing knife
that Kyle had given her.
Kyle fired two more rounds towards the things glowing red eyes, but they
still had no effect.
"Kyle, get out of the way," Faith screamed trying to get there in time,
but before she could the thing backhanded K, sending him flying up and
backwards into the wall.
"Nooooooo!" Faith screamed as she saw Kyle's body collapse to the floor.
She raced towards the seemingly towering figure that was now drawing out a
45 Colt long slide pistol. The red dot of the laser sight moved rapidly
along the surface of the wall until it stopped on the forehead of the
dazed Agent K.
As Faith ran she pressed the button on the expandable baton and it sprang
to its full 21-inch length. She swung the baton down at an arching angle
knocking the 45 from the cyborg's hand. She squared off and stood in
front of the grotesque monstrosity, standing between it and the stunned
Agent K.
Faith looked up into the glowing red eyes of the metallic skull that
seemed to loom over her. She returned it's cold glare as her own eyes
shown with a rage and adamant resolve that would not let this thing get
one foot closer to the injured man behind her.
Faith batted the thing's head to the left with the baton and then swung it
back and batted it to the right. She was swing back to hit it again when
the thing's hand caught the baton mid-swing and held it. Without a
thought Faith let go of the baton and landed two rapid punches to the
abdomen and the swung up and hit the thing in the jaw. The thing dropped
the baton and swung down at Faith, which she ducked and landed another two
hard blows to the chest. Faith landed blow after blow against the
towering figure as it continued to swing clumsily at her, which she easily
dodged.
"Oh Fuck!" Faith thought as she stepped back and gave a quick glance down
at her aching hands. Her knuckles were raw and bleeding. She looked back
up at the Terminator cyborg that stood in front of her. "I haven't even
scratched it! I can't win this fight. I got to get Kyle out of here,"
Faith thought, but then realized that she had been backed up to the point
where she was almost standing on top of him and there wouldn't be enough
time for her to pick him up and carry him away with the thing this close.
"It's not getting Kyle! I keep loosing everyone in my life that I love,
but not this time," Faith thought as she launched at it with everything
she had left. Moving with a speed and virtuosity that somehow exceeded
her own abilities, she attached the creature. She landed blow after blow,
while dodging the vain attempts of the thing as it swung at her wildly
with its right arm, Faith's onslaught was managing to force the thing a
few feet backwards. Faith continued with a crazed determination as she
continued striking blow after blow against the things armored exoskeleton,
but her now bleeding fists were only leaving bloody smears across the
things undamaged shiny metal body.
"Kyle I'm sorry," Faith thought as each blow against the thing's metal
body fired shocks of pain from her fists to her elbows. She knew it was
only a matter of time before it would all be over.
"There has to be a way to beat this thing, but how?" Faith thought
desperately, then she looked down at the Morphic Adaptation Unit that
tucked under its left arm. "Fucking uncreative aliens who built that dam
thing never thought of putting any type of safety protocols in their
devices to keep them from creating a monster like this!" Faith thought
remembering the reports she had read that speculated that the aliens that
created the devices, while brilliant, were highly unimaginative of
possible consequences. Then it came to her.
"I hope the scientists were right," Faith thought as she did a roundhouse
kick that landed against the alien device, sending it flying out of the
cyborg's grasp and skidding some twenty feet across the floor. The thing
immediately turned and started heading for the device. Faith sprinted
past it and snatched up the device and started running towards the back of
the bank. Faith leaped over the counter and was followed closely be the
terminator, which effortlessly smashed its way through. In front of Faith
stood a locked security door that she snapped kicked open, sending it
flying across the floor.
"This had better work!" Faith thought as she stepped into the
claustrophobic space of the reinforced bank vault, followed closely by the
cyborg. She stood at the end of the vault as the thing ran menacingly
towards her.
"Here goes nothing," Faith said as she hit the button to enlarge the
device as she threw it at the approaching cyborg. The thing caught it and
held it as it quickly started to expand outwards.
"Please be unimaginative, please be unimaginative, please be
unimaginative!" Faith desperately thought of the aliens as she watched
the device continue to expand outwardly.
Faith watch as the cyborg held the device that was quickly expanding. The
device rapidly enlarged and instantly pinned the cyborg against the bank
vault wall. The nearly indestructible device of alien construction
continued to grow outwardly, pressing against the reinforced steel bank
walls and the metallic body of the terminator cyborg. Without even a hint
of hesitation the device grew to its full length, instantly crushing the
head and most of the torso of the cyborg's exoskeleton. The device hung
prone some three feet off of the floor, suspended between the two walls.
Faith slowly stepped up to the control panel of the machine at pressed the
control to shrink it. The device quickly retracted and fell to the floor,
followed by the remnants of the metallic exoskeleton of the cyborg, which
collapsed into a heap.
"Unimaginable intelligence with no imagination," Faith thought in awe as
she looked at the two perfectly square indentations in the walls of the
vault where the machine had pressed. "Lucky for me."
Faith uneasily picked up the device, but then quickly ran from the vault.
"Kyle!" Faith shouted seeing the figure of Agent K shakily getting to his
feet. His left arm now hanging loosely by his side, his clothes were in
tatters and he was covered in dust and glass. Faith raced up to him,
dropping the alien device in a chair, she through her arms around him and
kissed him deeply.
"Oh Kyle I thought you were..." But Faith couldn't finish instead she
kissed him again deeply, until he finally pulled away.
"Do you have the device?"
"Oh yes," Faith said looking up at Kyle with a gleam in her eye. "And its
still working. We got to get this to Linda in the hospital before it
quits working."
"Then get and let's go," Kyle said steadying himself.
"Right," Faith said excitedly. Faith turned to the chair to get device
when she heard a strange 'phffitt' sound and stabbing pain in her back.
She reached around and pulled out a tranquilizer dart. Dizziness started
sweep over her as she stumbled forward, dropping the Morphic Adaptation
Unit, she turned to see Kyle holding a chrome tranquilizer dart pistol.
Faith looked at the cold, unfeeling expression on Kyle's face as she tired
to stand, but finally collapsed to her knees.
"Sorry James, but I have been waiting to get my hands on one of these
things for the longest time," K said picking up the device, moving it to
another spot ten feet away and activating it.
"But what about Linda?" Faith muttered fighting to stay awake.
"I don't give a fuck about your sister James," K said as the machine
expanded. "After I use the device to enhance myself, I have a consortium
of individuals, some willing to pay outrages sums of money for a chance to
use this machine, but even if I didn't I wouldn't waste the time left on
it her."
"Everything was a lie?" Faith slurred as she desperately tired to force
back the darkness that was ebbing its way around her field of vision.
"From day one. I arranged to become your partner because I saw the
advantages of having a non-trained super enhanced puppet working with me.
I sent you to the Dr. Green who filled me in on all the best ways to
manipulate and control you. When to pull back, when to make my move and
how to make you fall in love with me."
"What?" Faith mumbled as her grasp on consciousness was starting to slip.
"Our good Doctor realized that you would be willing to die for the ones
you loved, so what better way to manipulate you than being the one you
loved? And I'm almost sorry that I got this device so quickly, because
the sex was really good last night. It would have been nice if it took a
couple more weeks or months to find one, but can't cry over spilt milk and
all that," K said as he placed his hand on the control panel and
concentrated.
"You bastard!" Faith spat. The darkness nearly engulfing her, Kyle
appeared to be standing at the end of a long tunnel that was slowly
receding.
"But don't worry James, we're not done with you yet. I have something
very special planned for you. Since I have basically been running this
branch of the Agency since I killed B, oh did I mention yet that I killed
Agent B, not that it really matters, I have killed so many people," He
said with a cold smile that seemed to grow colder. "You know what? Maybe
in a few days I will stop by and visit your sister Linda. No point in
leaving any loose ends. Am I right or am I right?" K said stepping into
the machine. He reached for the purple crystal, but just as he was about
to press it, he felt himself being yanked backwards by the back of his
jacket collar. K flew backwards in the air and landed with a thud, some
ten feet away from the device.
Faith stood by the device and shakily slammed her fist into the button
that caused the machine to collapse down again.
"I thought bad guys only revealed their master plans in movies and comic
books!" Faith said, rage in her eyes as she picked up the device and moved
towards K. K reached for the tranquilizer gun but it wasn't there. In a
flash he reached for his 9mm, drew it and fired. Instinctively Faith held
the device up in front of her and the bullet ricocheted off the surface.
K tired to fire again, but his gun was empty. He reached for his spare
clip to reload, but glanced up and saw that Faith was darting out the
front of the bank. He knew that the police would be getting there any
second, and since he dealt with the banks surveillance system earlier in
the morning, he limbed after Faith, but knew he couldn't catch her, so he
hit the speed dial on his cell phone.
"Faith has stolen an active unit! She'll be heading towards her sister.
I need a helicopter now!"
"That no good fucking..." Faith muttered as she stumbled forward, fighting
a renewed battle against the effects of the tranquilizer. "I should have
killed that lying, son of a bitch...no, I have to get this to Linda.
That's all that matters now."
She walked through the parking lot and saw the car they driven, but K had
the keys. Without hesitating she ran past the car and towards the street.
"My legs feel like Jell-O. If I could just sit down for a little while,"
Faith thought drowsily. "No, I have to keep going, if I stop now I will
pass out."
Faith reached the intersection, which had two vehicles stopped at it. One
was a minivan, which was full of kids, and the other was a guy on a black
Harley. The Harley looked strangely familiar, like Faith had somehow seen
it before. Without a second thought she stepped up to the rider and
yanked him off the bike by the back of his collar. She quickly set the
bike up right and strapped the MAU to the back of it.
"Hey that's my bike," the guy said getting up and moving towards Faith.
"Don't even think about it!" Faith growled.
The man paused at the sight of the attractive woman with the bloody fists
that now glared at him. An instant later she was on the bike and speeding
away.
"Have to get to Linda," Faith thought as she gunned the accelerator. The
engine roared as she flew down the street dodging around cars and flying
through red lights.
"Eyelids feel so heavy," Faith muttered and then realized. "I've never
ridden a motorcycle before, but it seems so natural. How is that
possible?"
Faith dodged around a slow moving car and nearly missed and head on
collision with a pick trunk coming the opposite direction.
"The dream!" Faith suddenly realized. "I rode a motorcycle like this one
in the weird musical dream I had in Montana...no it wasn't like this one,
it was this one. And Loren put the knowledge in my head how to ride it."
The wheels of the motorcycle screeched as Faith took a corner and was then
speeding up the on ramp of the freeway. Gunning the accelerator, she sped
down the freeway, zigzagging in and out around the other vehicles.
"Finally!" Faith thought, as there was a break in the traffic in the road
cleared in front of her. "Now to make some real time." The motorcycle
engine screamed in protest as it was being pushed to its maximum velocity.
"I'm coming Linda!" Faith muttered as the effects of the tranquilizer
quickly ebbed away at the adrenaline rush that had kept Faith going.
"I can do this, I can do this, I CAN DO THIS!" Faith muttered feeling her
eyelids getting heavier as sheer exhaustion tore at every fiber of her
being. Her hands slowly started to tremble and Faith eased off the
accelerator as she caught up to the next wave of traffic and once again
dodged around slower moving cars.
"I can't keep this up anymore," Faith thought feeling herself once again
slipping into unconsciousness. "Must keep eyes open," she whispered
exhausted as she felt her eyelids closing in a long blink and then a
second blink, fighting to maintain a last few seconds of consciousness,
Faith reached for the eight inch throwing knife she carried. She slid it
from its sheath, nearly dropped it, but managed to grasp it before it
slipped. "I'm going to make it Linda!" Faith screamed and plunged knife
into her right thigh. The blade buried its self three inches deep into
the flesh of Faith's leg and she momentarily spasmed and nearly lost
control of the Harley. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Faith spat as she fought to
regain control of the bike. The pain in her leg was nearly unbearable,
but Faith managed to steady the bike.
"That has to be the stupidest thing I have ever done!" Faith said looking
down at the knife sticking out of her leg; a path of crimson began t
