Mid Story Prologue:
Well now what do you think my friend? Crazy twist of fate? Just
punishment for my sins? Remember at the time of my second cancer surgery
I was only concerned with staying alive. I didn't know there was a
diabolical plot being executed as my "Just Punishment" for being
unfaithful to my wife. Life is full of unseen twists. I guess the old
saying is right "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!"
From here until the end of my tale I want to shift the narrative.
Instead of listing to Katie play this out, I was thinking you may want
to know things from my perspective. I have seen the whole 3-Dvid of
Katie's testimony and she makes me look like a wimp. Always crying,
whining or complaining about something. I mean I lost my penis for
pete's sake! That would be a big thing for most men, right?

never talked to my ex-wife about what you are going to hear and she

Chapter 3:
.........Cancer! I always thought it was the other guy who gets that. I
knew at the point of the suggested second surgery I was willing to do
anything to survive. But more surgery still sounded so scary to me.
Would I wake up afterward, would I die on the table? Will I end up
looking like some kind of freak? Even with this series of surgeries and
treatment there was no guarantee of health. The cancer had spread to my
esophagus. I was afraid.
On the way into the surgical room I lost it several times. I was crying
asking for my wife but they said it was too late. Within minutes the
anesthesiologist was putting that mask over my face and moments later I
was unconscious.
As I woke up I my head was sore. I could hardly see because my eyes were
partially covered by bandages. As I became more alert, I could see Katie
sitting on a chair next to me and a smile was on her face.
"Paul, everything went according to the plan! Dr. Turnbull was able to
remove the tumor and all its tendrils! She was very confident you will
now make a complete recovery, no more cancer," Katie said to me. Then
added, "Doctor Turnbul will be here in a couple of minutes to explain
how everything she did and what you should expect now."
Almost on queue Dr. Turnbul entered the room held my hand and asked,
"Paul,ah, how are you feeling my dear?
I tried to answer but I couldn't make a sound. "Just nod if you are
alright. Your throat will be too sore to speak for a bit," Turnbul said.
I tried to speak one more time but my throat hurt so badly I relented to
her advice. I mouthed "OK" and gave them a thumbs up.
Dr. Turnbul said," Let me take a few minutes to explain the procedures
we have done to rid you of this dangerous cancer in your esophagus.
Please understand tt was a bit more work than I expected".
"In order to get to the tumor, we entered through your nasal passages.
Although not as difficult as it sounds you did lose some cartilage in
your nose. Once the main portion of the tumor was removed, we were
successful in using the newest laser technique to remove most of the
tendrils that had started to spread and move down your esophagus quite
quickly. However, one very large and long tendril proved exceptionally
tricky. It was wrapped around your vocal cords. We had to make some very
difficult decisions about how to remove it safely. There may have been
some damage to your vocal cords. I am sure you will be able to speak
once everything heals however the timber of your voice may be slightly
higher than it was before. We shall have to wait for healing to know for
sure".
"The cartilage loss in your nose forced us to trim the size of your nose
somewhat. Most people will not be able to tell. As with any
reconstructive surgery, we had to make some small modifications of our
plan as complications presented themselves. Due to the lack of cartilage
but abundance of facial skin we were forced to tighten up your facial
skin. In essence you were given a free face-lift! I know it doesn't
matter to you now but in about ten more years you will have the looks of
a thirty something instead of a forty something" She said rather
clinically.
That was a lot of information for me to absorb while I was still on pain
medication but the thoughts of looking younger at an older age sounded
all right to me.
My wife was very supportive to me during this time. It actually took
about three weeks for me to regain my voice. As I started to talk again
I could only whisper. A few more days passed and I started talking
without whispering.
I knew then how different I sounded. My wife did not say anything to me
about it but I could tell she was surprised by the sound.
Katie told the clinic staff no phone for my room and she wouldn't let me
have my personal cell phone either. Katie insisted on letting my vocal
cords heal.
I was getting antsy about not being at work and I wanted to check in
with my secretary Jillian. I snuck into the room next to mine and found
a phone I could use. I called Jillian. When she answered I told her it
was me, Paul Mangione and I was feeling better.
Jillian said in a cold sounding voice, "Can you please hold one second,
Miss.". That took me back a bit, however when she returned to the phone
is when I really started to realize how much my voice had changed.
"Hello, this is not funny! My boss is Paul Mangione, a man! He is
gravely ill! Do not call here again, Miss...who...whoever you are! Or I
will have to get the police involved!" Jillian said in a particularly
nasty voice!
I was quite shocked. Jillian has known me for 6 years. For her not to
recognize my voice, wow. For her to think it was a woman, double wow!
When I saw my wife that afternoon she could see I was very upset. Katie
asked me what was wrong.
I answered her saying "What is wrong? Listen to my voice. I sound like a
bimbo! Who is going take me serious with a voice like this!" " I was
ready for a little higher pitch but this! NO Way!"
Katie told me "Paul your voice will drop down some as you heal. Before
you know it you will sound perfect.
It is just been a lot for me to take in. I calmed down some, only to
feel the flood gates of tears opening again. I decided it was time to
tell Katie other changes I was experiencing.
"Katie come here and give me your hand," I told her. I took her hand and
led it under my shirt to my chest. Earlier in the past month I had been
feeling sensations in my chest that I did not want to share with anyone.
I have very quickly grown what looked and feel like were two medium
sized breasts. My aureoles had enlarged and changed to a deep ruddy
color like yours. My nipples were constantly making me aware of their
sensitivity as they brushed up against my clothing. Now with her hand
pressing against my chest I said it out loud, "I, I, I am growing

Katie said, "Remember Doctor Turnbul said this would probably happen. I
still love you," Katie assured me. She tried making me laugh by adding,

It did feel great being held by someone. I missed human contact very
much. Katie told me I would need supportive underwear as Dr. Turnbul had
said. As in I would need to wear a bra for now. If I didn't Katie told
me I would have the worst backaches! I was so tired from my roller
coaster of emotions that day. I didn't say another word. I fell asleep
for a nap.
When I awoke, I felt more at peace. I had accepted my body's changes as
part of the price for my recovery. I decided to talk with Katie about a
recovery schedule that would lead me home for rehabilitation instead of
staying at Turnbul's clinic. My goal was to get back to work as soon as
I could. However, Katie played devil's advocate and brought up I would
need further cosmetic surgery. Maybe I should put those plans on the
back burner reminding of my more feminine appearance. I agreed because
truthfully I didn't know how my staff would react seeing me like this.
Over the next few weeks I began to eat more daily than I had the
immediate weeks following my first surgery. I worked out daily in the
private gym at the clinic. I was trying to stabilize my weight and gain
more muscle and weight while becoming more physically fit. But no matter
how much I ate seemed to lose pounds daily. I went from 165lbs to just
over 134lbs in the eight weeks. To make matters worse my hair just kept
growing and was well passed my shoulders. I thought to myself, if
whatever it is in that formula can be converted to a hair restoration
product for men Dr. Turnbul could be worth billions. However, as I was
warned my beard and my body hair had fallen out. I was a hairless male
but for my brows and head.
