friendliest authors on Fictionmania! Do you have an opening statement?
(Chrissy) Hiya everybody! Thank you for all coming. I would just like to say I
found Fictionmania through Jennifer's Transgender story site midway through last
year and was so impressed I stayed!
Many of the writers here inspired me, so later in the year I decided to write my
own first story. (Which I never finished!) And have been doing so ever since.
(*Anne-Mal) (Never finished! For shame!)
(Chrissy) LOL! First question please!
(*Anne-Mal) From a friend who couldn't make it here tonight! Fred the Wizard
appears before you and grants you one and only one wish, what is it?

I guess I first got involved when I saw Eric post a message about it on the
hyperboard. Eric has always been very kind to me and given me great reviews! So
when I found out people had been teasing him. (Those who shall remain nameless!
:)) I immediately jumped to his defense leaving a message on the hyperboard!
Eric gave me a private e-mail of thanks and from there I started to get more
involved. Leaving messages on the hyperboard...

(Chrissy) I found it fun to have this little battle over the hyperboard and then
YWRI! It was there I found my greatest adversary...

(Chrissy) The wicked (but not Evil) Axis Anne! Who I later met in chat and found
to be a really nice person! :)

both the Axis and Allies!
I later found out the Allies had originated from Mindy. *Phew*

(CarrieGore2) Chrissy, (standard Author Chat question here, sorry :)) how do you
find the inspiration for your stories?
(Chrissy) It's usually in the shower or before I go to sleep. I find some of it
from Mythology that I read or sometimes from modern fiction.
Often when I have read a really good story I think, 'Hey. I'd like to have a go
at that'
I also like to see how characters react to change.
So this place is perfect for those ideas.
(Mindy) With your relationship with the Allies, have you ever considered writing
a story with Eric?
(Chrissy) I certainly have, but have been a bit afraid to ask!
(Mindy) Guess you need asking lessons from Anne-Mal! (Like Chalker chat!)
(Chrissy) LOL! Anne is the Queen of asking people! :)
I did ask him once whether he would like to write a follow up to one of my
stories that he liked. He said he only really wrote bodyswap stories and the
story in question had been a magical one. I have been thinking about a Axis and
Allies story. Maybe I will ask him to help me with that.

(Chrissy) Well I guess I felt a little bad putting my boss in that situation...

Nah, not really! I enjoyed writing about him and giving them a hard time for
once. :)

thoughts?
(Chrissy) I guess its no secret that Eric is involved. In a way he was daring us
to write this story for a long time.
(*Anne-Mal) Since you were there in the beginning of the chat nights, have they
become what you envisioned?
(Chrissy) Oh yes Anne! And so much more. I still remember when you, Raven, Mindy
and I were discussing it. I thought is was a great idea at the time. But it
evolved into something bigger than I imagined!

(Chrissy) No, I certainly don't get that impression about it. There are so many
different nationalities here.
(*Anne-Mal) So as someone who uses the chat rooms a lot, what do you think could
be improved?
(Chrissy) Ooh I don't know really. They seem pretty fine too me. It would be
good to have a links system maybe. But I guess that is pretty hard to do.
(Mindy) Chrissy you seem to write mostly swaps, care to comment.
(Chrissy) I guess I do Mindy. I think its because they are the most likely to
actually happen. Maybe in the future what is today fiction shall be fact!
(Mindy) Hummm! Maybe I should sell Fictionmania to the History Channel! :)

(Chrissy) I have been watching all the film talk on the hyperboard. Is a
Fictionmania film really possible?
(CarrieGore) We should really write a script and sell it at Cannes!
(Mindy) Yes, if we had somebody who knew the ins and outs of independent film
production.
(CarrieGore) Well, for what it's worth, I did a lot of video and studio work in
the past.
(Chrissy) It would be great if it could happen!
(CarrieGore) We could all dress up, and travel to France in a minibus! It'd be
great, even if we didn't sell the movie!
(Lorna) Fun only if the minibus can tread water!
(*Anne-Mal) Depends on what it is that you want, just a movie or a commercial
movie?
(Mindy) It will happen in the next 3 to 5 years!

(CarrieGore) I couldn't make a whole movie, but I'd love to chip in with the

the SciFi channel has on their web site!

(CarrieGore) Chrissy, do you think Channel Four, the UK Indie Channel, would buy
the Fictionmania film?
(Chrissy) I'm sure they would look it over Carrie. They are very good at
screening independent films.
So what do people think of an actual Axis Vs Allies Story? I have been
considering it for some time now.
(Mindy) It needs to be written!

A little bit of gossip. Bashful and I are in the middle of writing a story about
a British Secret Agent. I am sure once that is finished it would make a good
movie.

I liked an idea for a story, but I whispered it to Anne by mistake, she had a

(Chrissy) I was originally working on the spy story on my own, but I had a
mental block with it. Bash gallantly jumped into help and it looks like it has
real promise!
(Lorna) Chrissy, how do you feel about authors who post partials that are never
done?
(Chrissy) Umm, I'm guilty of that myself. I sometimes get frustrated when a
story I have been reading has been really good then I find it is without an end.
(Lorna) Does that motivate you to finish up what's out there?
(Chrissy) I've never tried to finish other peoples stories, but when it happens
it makes me think about finishing some of my own. How about you Anne? *Hee*
(*Anne-Mal) (Unless you find a fan who goes crazy because you won't finish it!)

(*Anne-Mal) Hey, I'll finish, I'm just slow!
(Lorna) As a reader, I HATE unfinished stuff! Never know where/when/IF it'll get
finished. As an author, I'll NEVER do that to my readers!!!
(Chrissy) My first story is unfinished and I got a lot of good reviews for it
urging me to finish it. After I have written my next story I may dust it off
again.
(Mindy) Well gang, I need to split and work on the site, this is a long weekend

(Chrissy) I remember before I found Fictionmania there was some stories by a
Author called Stephanie who wrote some really great stories and never finished
them they are at Michelle's Midnight Downloads.
(Lorna) There were a lot like that on Mindy's old BBS too!

he was/is a part of her life in some way.
