Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 57 Laura and Paula felt slightly bad that this fashion contest had been fated for them to win. They felt that some of the other contestants deserved to win too. "That's how things are. You always get more than one worthy winner amongst the competitors," said Joanne. "But only one can be named the winner." "But we have won," said Laura. "Not that I'm complaining, but it would have felt better if this wasn't fated." For Paula, getting this contract would mean giving up her job at the nail salon. She couldn't do 2 jobs and college together. The only thing that she wanted now was a car, but that would need some serious money. Just like Joanne, she would have to settle for a second hand one first. Her dream Jaguar would have to wait. The news that they had been expecting arrived just over a week after the photo shoot. As expected, they had won. They felt a little better when the letter announced that after a split decision with the judges, it had been decided to declare two sets of winners instead. They would be invited to the store on the following Saturday to discuss contracts. Laura and Paula went along with Danielle. The youngest member of the family was a slight problem, and needed to be considered in the contract. With Joanne and Alex also at work, it meant that there was no one to look after her. When they arrived, they discovered that the other winners were a girl with medium length brown hair and her mother, who was blonde. They met and congratulated each other. They then were called in to discuss their contracts. The other mother and daughter went in first. After an hour or so, they came out, and Laura and Paula were called in. "Glad to see you, Mrs and Miss Smith. Please take a seat," said the manager, shaking their hands. "My name is Andrew Rodgers, senior marketing manager. Looking after a baby, I see?" "Got no choice," said Laura. "My other daughter and husband work too. I therefore need Danielle considered in this contract." "Ok, I think that is possible," said Mr Rodgers. "I'm sure we can arrange a babysitter to be available. Any requirements for Paula?" "I need to fit this job around my college hours," said Paula. "But apart from that, I should be ok." "That's fine. The other girl is in the same boat," said Mr Rodgers. "Now, the contracts are for 12 months, with pay. You also get to keep whatever clothes you model. At the end of the contract, you'll be offered an extension if we see fit. You are not obliged to take it." "Oh, that's good," said Paula. "I've already got another job sidelined for me in a years time." "Have you? What would that be?" asked Mr Rodgers. "I'm joining up with a rally car team as a mechanic, but I'm hoping to become a driver for them," replied Paula. "Unusual career, but I can tell by your expression that you're looking forward to it," replied Mr Rodgers. "It's the subject I'm doing at college," said Paula. "Paula has always been keen on motor cars," said Laura. "People do think it odd, but she knows her stuff." Even though the main things had been pointed out, Mr Rodgers then went on to explain the contracts in more detail. Paula realised now that she would have a bit more spare time. Along with the other girl, she would be working Saturdays mainly, with other hours fitted around her college work. Laura was to work more in the week, but she did have it arranged for a babysitter to be on site when needed, though it was possible for Paula to look after her instead at times. After agreeing the contracts in full, they said goodbye to Mr Rodgers and left the office. They then met the other mother and daughter, who appeared were keen to speak to them once more. "So, a good chance we'll be working together," said the brown haired girl to Paula. "My name's Kate Windsor, and don't mention royalty!" "She's been teased over it since Prince William got wed to Kate Middleton," said her mother, called Janice. "The fact that she has brown hair doesn't help either." "The only thing is, my name does begin with a K," said Kate. "Her name is really Catherine, with a C." "Well, my name's Paula, with a P," said Paula with a chuckle. "I have to admit, when I saw you, I thought you were in with a chance," said Kate. "Might get myself noticed by the boys at last. How about you?" "Not into boys myself," said Paula. "I've already got a girlfriend though." "Blimey, I would never have thought of you as being gay. I know a few but they prefer boys clothing and short hair," said Kate. "I used to be like that. Then I remembered that I'm a girl," smiled Paula. "But my interests are still a little boyish. I want to be a rallycar driver." "Good for you," said Kate. "Well, I look forward to working with you. By the way, this is my chosen career. I'd like to try the catwalk one day!" With other things planned for that day, they all went home. Paula decided to go to the nail salon and break the news that she was leaving. "No, I thought you were staying on for another year," sighed Carla. "We're gonna miss you." "I've had some good times here, and I promise I'll pop round for manicures and pedicures," said Paula. "I'm gonna miss working here." "Good luck to you," said Carla. "You've been a wonderful help to us." After sharing a hug with Carla, Paula left the salon and headed home with Laura. "You made some friends there, didn't you?" asked Laura. "Yes," said Paula. "All except Isla who turned her back when she discovered I was gay." Upon arriving home, they explained their contracts to Alex and Joanne at the first opportunity. * * * The modelling work started the following weekend, with Laura and Paula turning up for their first day. Janice and Kate were there too. "Morning ladies. Looking smart today," said the photographer. "Brought the baby along too?" "It was agreed in my contract that someone would be here to look after my daughter," said Laura. The photographer was unaware of this and went to find a collegue who knew about this. He soon came back with a young woman. "Claire at your service," said the woman. "Got a baby to look after?" "Yes, this is Danielle," said Laura. "I've brought along some nappies, just in case." "Oh, she's adorable," said Claire. "Don't worry, she's in safe hands." It wasn't anything to worry about. Claire sat by the pram within sight of the studio. When Laura had a few minutes to relax, she went over to see how they were. Their first modelling session involved the store's new winter collection, which was going on sale in a few weeks. Laura and Janice were modelling clothes for older women, while Kate and Paula were modelling for the younger market. As promised, they ended up with all the clothes they had worn during the shoot - Paula ended up carrying Laura's bags on the way home, as Laura was pushing the pram. "Not comfortable under the lights, especially wearing those turtleneck sweaters," said Laura. "But I liked them." "Nice additions to our wardrobes," said Paula. "Lets hope the photos don't get edited too much." "They let us see the results, so I doubt it," said Laura. "We've still got more to do, as we've got a catalogue to do." The photo shoots were frequent and long, but Paula and Kate were both allowed to fit them in between college. As a result, most of their work was done of a weekend. But Paula noted an increase in her money, even if the hours were shorter than those she did at the nail salon. She decided to put some of the money aside for a new car. The house was mainly empty during the day, with everyone at work. Joanne was now working a full 6 day week at the hair salon and building up a rep with her senior collegues. It was several weeks into her new job that Joanne got a long awaited dream. The dream version of her sister came into it and told her simply, that her fortune was near at hand. The friend was now close by and the favour would be asked within weeks. When Joanne told everyone about it, she added a list of all the close friends she had links with now. "I thought it would be a college friend. Now I've only got close ties with one now, through work," she said. "It could be her though," said Laura. "Just wait and see. But it could be a new friend." "Nice to know that yours is close to coming true," said Alex. "It would mean that all are sorted then." "Except mine," said Paula. "But mine is partially sorted." She held up her left hand to show her engagement ring. "Any sign of a ring being placed on your left hand?" asked Laura to Joanne. "Not yet," said Joanne. "Though it's a safe stat that Alan is the best boyfriend I've had." "It's only because he stands to get a sister-in-law with similar interests to him," said Paula. "Motor racing, of course," said Joanne. "Well, there is that," said Paula. "But I was referring to the fact that we both like girls." Paula said that with a smile, and Joanne took the funny side. It did mean that Joanne went to work with her ears open. It appeared that the fortune would happen at her workplace, but who would it be, and what would the favour be?" As November came along, and her 20th birthday passed, Joanne was still awaiting for anything that resembled a favour from a friend. All that seemed to happen at work was that her superiors were continuing to praise her, as well as her friend from college. Paula was discussing, whenever possible, the date for her marriage to Kelly. Kelly was keen to decide a date too. It was soon decided to have the wedding once they had each turned 20. It was then narrowed down to the end of September. "All we need to know, my love, is whether your dress will need a train, or whether your hair will do instead," said Kelly. "I doubt it," said Paula. "It's pretty long now." "But beautiful," purred Kelly. They also decided to discuss who was going to be there, whether just as attendees, or to be involved. They had already decided on Alicia and Linda as bridesmaids, with their mothers being matrons of honour. "The only men involved will be our dads," said Paula. "But a lot can happen between now and then." "Like another fortune cookie?" suggested Kelly. "I'm not touching another one while I draw breath," said Paula. "The one I had changed my life in many ways. I don't want another change." "Like becoming a boy again?" said Kelly. "While I was still changing, that would have been welcome. But now? No," said Paula. "I'm happy as a female, happier even." "I know," said Kelly. "Though I still see traces of your old self, it's clear that you're happier as a girl." "I'll be even happier as your wife," smiled Paula. "And me as yours," said Kelly. "As soon as I realised I was gay, I wondered if I might ever get married. Then I fell in love with you, as Paul, and I thought that was that. But you became a beautiful young woman instead. I would have married you,had you stayed a boy, but I can't deny that I find you so much more attractive now." "I aim to please," smiled Paula, brushing Kelly's long blonde hair away from her right ear and kissing her on the neck. * * * They made it known about the selected date for their wedding almost immediately. "You want me to be a bridesmaid?!" said Alicia. "You know I will!" "I knew you'd say yes," said Paula. "Any more news on Mike?" "I'm sure he's planning on doing it," replied Alicia. "Besides, I rarely get time to see him because of college. I spend a lot of time travelling to and from the place." "Enjoying it though?" asked Paula. "Lots. Not sure whether I want to work at a vet clinic or a zoo," said Alicia. "You're not doing bad for yourself. Seen the catalogue with you and your mom in it. You look really good." "Got the proofs," said Paula. "And the clothes." "Well, I'll see you when I can," said Alicia. "Bye for now." "Bye," said Paula. Linda was also willing to get involved too. "Well, after asking you to be involved in my wedding, I can't say no," she told Paula. "You could if you like?" asked Paula. "Look here, I've been pals with Kelly for ages and to be a bridesmaid at her wedding would be a wonderful way to say thankyou for her friendship," said Linda. "I know all that. Kelly and I knew you would. Welcome aboard," said Paula. "Any news on your big day?" "Our big day? We were thinking of waiting till we were 21, but seeing that you're doing it at 20, we may have to reconsider." "Just tell us when. Kelly and I are waiting," said Paula. Waiting was Joanne's game too. Waiting for the foretold favour to appear. On other notes, her relationship with Alan was going from good to very good. They were now greeting each other with kisses, and Paula was getting a hunch that Joanne was getting her bed ready. However, Joanne's favour did arrive, though she nearly overlooked it, for the magic key word was never mentioned. "Ok, I want you all to gather round the back after closing," said Sylvia, the salon head. "I've got something important to discuss and it will require your cooperation." Joanne, along with her friend Carol, were proving their worth and certainly getting plaudits from customers too. They were keen to hear what Sylvia had to say. "Ok girls," said Sylvia, once the salon had shut for the day. "Next month, is the national hairstyling championships. I intend to send a group from this store to participate." This got them chatting away excitedly. These championships resulted in extra publicity for the salons involved, especially if they ranked high in the contest. "I need a group of three to represent us, and since Joanne and Carol joined our ranks, it has made my choice harder." "You going to decide now?" asked one of her senior assistants. "Next week," said Sylvia. "I'm just going to ask you all to do your very best for the week ahead. I want the best to go and represent us." Joanne left with Carol and they chatted about it as they headed to their cars. "We've gotta be picked for this," said Carol. "Even Sylvia has admitted that we've improved sales." "Yes, that's true," said Joanne. "What's more, is that this contest will challenge us in every department." "I like a challenge though," said Carol. "You can have my sister if you like," said Joanne. "She's a natural red, and has been growing her hair for over a year. It's down to her waist, but she looks stunning." "Wow, sounds good. Bet the boys are swarming around her like flies," said Carol. "She'd be swatting each and every one of them," said Joanne. "She's a lesbian, and her girlfriend has some nice hair too." "So, neither is the butch type then?" asked Carol. "Not in the slightest."said Joanne. "Well, better be off. See you tomorrow." "See ya," said Carol. When she got home, Joanne told the others about the chance of participating in this hair styling championship. "Have you been asked to do it yet?" asked Laura. "We've been told to put in a good week in order to put our names forward," said Joanne. "I've got a feeling that this is it," said Paula. "Your fortune. They're gonna ask you to do it." "You really think so?" asked Joanne. "If so, I'm a champion hair stylist!" "Not so fast," said Laura. "Look at Paula and I. We didn't win that modelling contest outright. We tied for first." "So, I, I mean we, might not win?" said Joanne, her feelings slightly punctured. "If the fortune is this, you'll win something," said Paula. "Mine is just about getting married to Kelly. Sure, I had to become a girl first, but I'm not complaining." "Your salon is going to get some recognition, that's for sure. Just put it this way, your fortune is going to benefit others too," said Laura. "Just don't tell them about the fortune." "Because if you do, your friends may get cocky and careless, thinking they'll win regardless of what they do," said Paula. Joanne nodded, understanding fully. * * * Paula went to her room that night with thoughts of what Kelly had been saying. What would happen if another fortune cookie came into their lives. Would Paula become Paul again, or would Kelly become male. Both thoughts made Paula feel sick. She wasn't attracted to boys in a sexual way at all, and Kelly certainly enjoyed her feminimity. She guessed that Kelly might feel suicidal if she started changing into a boy. It seemed as though her thoughts had been "heard" as the moment she sat down at her dressing table and started brushing her hair, her reflection put down the brush and started to speak. "What are you worried about?" asked her reflection. "Kelly is not having a sex change any time soon, whether be magical or via medicine. There are things to come which certainly require her to be a woman." "That is a relief," said Paula. "I don't think she wants to be male anyway." "She isn't male, so their's your answer," replied her reflection. "There is no more magic coming your way. Your life and hers, are yours to live as you wish. The only magic that you could consider still surrounds you, it is the love that bonds you together." "Do you know why I, I mean we, became female? I'm certainly not complaining now, as I love being a woman. I just need to understand why," asked Paula. "I knew the time would come to explain, and I will," replied her reflection. "If I explain, never ever tell anyone." "I promise," said Paula. "The reason is because you were always female. Somehow, you were born in the body of a boy. It was never have meant to have been that way. It was deemed necessary to fix this error by restoring you to the body you should have had. But finding a way was hard, till it was discovered that you had feelings for Kelly. It was known that Kelly was gay, and that your chances of forming a relationship with her were slim, but it gave us a reason to bring about the changes in you," said her reflection. "So, my relationship with Kelly was foretold?" asked Paula. "You fell in love with her. It just gave us a simple solution," said her reflection. "Bringing you together as a lesbian couple would make it easier for you to accept your new self." "But I still remember who I was, but the rest of the world doesn't," asked Paula. "Your sex was wrong. To change your mind, would be to turn you into someone else," replied her reflection. "Yes, you were reluctant about the changes at first. You had been raised as a boy, and you believed yourself to be one. But deep down, unknown to you, your spirit was female. You realise that now." "I suppose so," said Paula. "So, are you really the future me, or someone else? You speak about others being involved." "I'm what you call an angel. A messenger from God," said her reflection. "You're an angel?!" said Paula. "Yes, and it was my job to help guide you through your change. By appearing as a future form of yourself, it was easier for me to explain things, for you could then see what you were becoming. The whole point of the changes being slow, were to give you time to adapt. " "But you have been helping my family too. They had fortune cookies too," said Paula. "The fortune cookies were the first way of telling you what to expect. Not all miracles are performed in the open. Most are very subtle, as was yours. Your family got them too, just to help them cope with your change, and not to feel left out. But they still needed convincing, and so, in this form, I visited them in their sleep and explained things," replied the reflection. "I forgot to add, Kelly fell in love with me as a boy. She even said she would marry me as a boy if it came to that," added Paula. "Kelly fell in love with a girl. Even if you looked every bit a boy," said her reflection. "She didn't realise it, but you had the essense of a girl even then. That is what attracted her to you, and no other boy. Your love is certainly true as we didn't bring you together. You did that yourselves." "But I got my fortune cookie before I fell for Kelly. Explain that one," asked Paula. "We knew then that you had feelings for Kelly, and we also knew that Kelly was starting to have feelings for you. It just took her a while to admit it. After all, she didn't know that you were a boy with the spirit of a girl," replied her reflection. "Anything else?" "You're speaking of something that people disagree about. Many claim that homosexuality is a sin. What do you have to say about that?" asked Paula. "Love is not a sin," replied her reflection. "Hatred is." Paula thought for a momnent, wondering if there was anything else she wanted to ask. "Why do people doubt things? My family wouldn't believe the reality change until my edited birth certificate came to light," she said eventually. "Ask the apostle Thomas. He started it, by not believing in the resurrection until he had seen the risen Lord with his own eyes," replied her reflection. "I must leave you now. You are now the woman you were always meant to be, and you have a future that holds much in store." "Yes, and thank you. I love Kelly very much and I look forward to our wedding day," said Paula. "Gratitude is always welcome, but sadly seldom received," said her reflection. "I can now say that my work here is complete. Goodbye Paula, and may God's blessing be upon you." The reflection then changed back to normal, for Paula hadn't put down her hairbrush throughout the conversation. Her query had been answered, she now knew why she had been made female. She finished brushing her hair and got undressed, putting on her nighty before getting into bed. She never mentioned anything about her discussion with the angel to her family the following morning, nor to anyone else. She just felt even more happier to be female. * * * Joanne spent the week at work, hoping to get Sylvia's attention. Everyone was, as the 3 places on the salon team were highly sought after. But for some, it was easier. Joanne had impressed not only her employers, but customers too. Some actually asked for her when coming into the salon. This did make the others jealous, though they did have their customers too. But for Sylvia, she just cared about getting the custom, and with several good stylists in her employ, business was always good. "Have your mom and sister convinced you that red is the best colour?" asked Carol, one day. "Kinda, but I like it. It has been a while since I dyed it last though," said Joanne. Joanne had kept her hair red for some time now, but had varied it's length. It was long now, not as long as Paula's, and unlike her sister, she styled it more often. Whilst working, she often had it pinned back. They often talked as they worked. Talking to the customers was also something they enjoyed, especially with regulars who had become friends too. It relaxed the customers, and in turn, relaxed them. "Even if I don't get on the contest team, I've give it all this week," she said at the end of Saturday's opening hours. "Well, the time has come," said Carol, putting some curlers back in a trolley. As soon as the salon was free of customers and tidied up, they headed round the back for Sylvia's decision. They all stood or sat and waited for Sylvia to speak. "Ok, I've come to my decision," said Slvia. "I'll be honest and say it hasn't been easy. I've certainly had my work cut out all this week, but here goes." Everyone's attention was now hers. "I've decided to go for Ellen Carter, Carol Bond and Joanne Smith," said Sylvia. "Sorry to those who didn't make it, but please remember that our business is being represented here. Please support our team as they try to go as far as possible in this championship, and hopefully, may I add, win it." Joanne, Carol and Ellen (who was one of the senior assistants) stayed behind to get the details on the contest as a whole. "Well, we did it," said Carol, as they left the salon. "Now it's up to us to do our salon proud." "I think it proves how well you two have performed since we took you on," said Ellen. "But you're right Carol, it's up to us now." Upon arriving home, Joanne gave the others the news. "It means I'll be spending just over a week in Manchester," she told them. "Don't worry, the transport has been provided, as has the accommodation." "All I can say to you sis, is good luck," smiled Paula. The championships took place in the first week of December. In the build up, Joanne was treated to a day of pampering by her work collegues, just to boost their morale. "I hope we come back with a trophy," said Joanne, her face in a mud pack. "Would be great," said Ellen. "But think about this, some of the biggest names in hairstyling are going to be there. Impress them and who knows, you may get more than a trophy." Carol and Joanne just closed their eyes and dreamed of success. Though they felt confident now, a voice in the back of their heads was bound to bring them down to earth when they got down to business. For Joanne, the morale boosting continued with Alan taking her out on a dinner date. All the disappointment of the mechanic episode was long forgotten, as Alan was proving to be her perfect boyfriend. When it turned out that he had booked a hotel room for the night, she knew he was the one for her. When she arrived home after the date, her face said it all. "I love him," she smiled. "I absolutely love him." "Sounds like she had a good night," said Paula. "Going to propose to him?" "It's not February 29th," sighed Joanne. "Wish it was." "That is stupid. I proposed to Kelly in May last year," said Paula. "And she proposed to me." "It does seem stupid, especially with lesbians and gays able to marry now," said Laura. "Lesbians shouldn't have to wait for a leap year to pop the question." "Anyway," said Alex. "You've got to get mentally prepared for that contest." That brought Joanne down to earth. Nevertheless, her family were rooting for her. When the time came for her to go, they joined her as she made her way into town to meet with the others. It was early in the morning, so the high street was fairly quiet. "Take care of yourself, and the best of luck," said Laura. "Do us proud, sis," said Paula, who was now noticing Clare looking at her. "What have you told them?" "Just that you have wonderful waist length hair and that you're a lesbian," said Joanne. "And I'll just explain that you've had a few boyfriends and ruined Valentines Day for me last year!" said Paula in a huff. "Enough of that," said Alex, getting between them. "I thought you were past that." Paula and Joanne looked at one another and gave each other a hug instead. The other salon members were also gathered, to see them on their way. A taxi arrived to take them to the railway station where they would be catching the train to Manchester. "Well, there they go," said Paula. "I'd better go home and get ready for college." "I've got some more photo shoots to do," said Laura. "I'm really beginning to enjoy it." * * * With December now upon them, talk of Christmas shopping was rife in the house. As like last year, the Smiths were having Christmas dinner with the Walkers. Then, they went to the Walkers' house. This year, the Walkers would be dining at their house. "Not to be horrible, but when Jo gets back, ask her to give your hair a trim," said Laura. "I suppose so," said Paula. "But I'm not letting my hair get any shorter than just below my shoulders." "Talking of your sister, what should we get her?" asked Laura. "An evening dress?" suggested Paula. "Seeing that she has been spending a lot of time with Alan." "Good idea, or jewellery perhaps?" added Laura. "I'm really pleased about her and Alan. They really do get along." "Well, for me, I'm just going to get a huge amount of mistletoe," said Paula. "And instead of a normal present for Kelly, I'll just let her unwrap me instead!" "We need to find a way of limiting your sex drive," smiled Laura. In Manchester, Joanne was hoping to get a bit of shopping done. But Ellen, who was taking charge of the team, was keen to remind them of their reason for being here. "We're up against salons from across the country here. Over 500 have showed up to compete," she told them. Over the course of the week, they would have to each style a model's hair to given specifications, whether it be adding colour, length or putting the hair up. The models would be wearing wigs most of the time, but that wasn't worth bothering about. The contest would see so many teams eliminated early on. The atmosphere was tense, so much that Joanne forgot that it was her fortune that had brought her to this contest. It helped, as the pressure on her paid off. She and her collegues safely made it to the next round. "That was not too bad," said Carol. "But I suppose it's going to get harder from now on?" "You said it," said Ellen. "Now how about we look at the exhibits while we're at it?" A large number of exhibits had been set up in a neighbouring hall. Companies were showing off all the latest products aimed at hairstyling and haircare. After looking around, they headed out to get some food and look at a few shops. That evening, Joanne gave her family a phone call using her mobile. "Hi dad. Just giving you a call, see how you are," "Fine. How are you?" replied Alex. "Got through the first round. Just had to a stylised ponytail," said Joanne. "Ok, so there could only be so many done at any one time, due to the number of teams. But, as I said, we're through to the next round." "Glad to hear it," said Alex. "Any celebs there?" "Not yet," said Joanne. "They'll be around for the final stages, I guess. I hope we'll be there to see them." "Well, keep it up. We're behind you all the way," said Alex. "Thanks dad. Give my love to the others." "Will do. Bye then," said Alex. "Bye dad," said Joanne. With each round, they were given little information on their tasks. Ellen had brought along some wigs for them to practice on in their spare time. Seeing that almost every possible style was bound to be required, they practiced on as many as possible. They all had to do individual styles too, so if the task was to do a updo, they all had to do different ones. Round 2 was harder, with permed styles to be done. With a time limit in place, there was little margin for error. Once again, they went to work and came up with styles that pleased the judges. Round 2 was over and round 3 was to come. "Well done," said Ellen. "We're now through to the last 250." "Blimey! There is miles to go yet!" said Carol. "Tell us when it's down to 50 or less." "The next round will see another 100 go out," said Joanne. "No pressure." But she did feel the pressure. The styles that they had done were ones they had done before, but not in a pressure scenario like this. Thankfully, Ellen was all for relieving the pressure when possible. "Take a couple of hours off. Relax," she told Carol and Joanne. They did, reading magazines or talking. "So, your sister objected to you telling me about her sexuality?" asked Carol. "I guess so," said Joanne. "But nonetheless, she's a wonderful sister." "My sister has just started work in a hospital," said Carol. "Junior doctor. Spent several years in college." "How old is she?" asked Joanne. "25," said Carol. "I've also got an older brother aged 23. He's into architecture." "Just two younger sisters for me," said Joanne. "Paula, aged 18 and Danielle, aged 8 months." "Big gap," said Ellen. "So, what career is Paula after?" "You'd never guess," said Joanne. "She's out to break down walls." "She's out to take on men at their own game, by the sounds of it," said Carol. "She's joining a rallycar team next year, with the hope of becoming a driver," said Joanne. "Good for her," said Carol. "But with her looks, I would have thought she might have turned to modelling." "She wants to be a rallycar driver," said Joanne, deciding not to mention that Paula was doing modelling at the moment. After finishing their break, they moved back to the subject of hairstyling. Round 3 awaited them, and they wanted to be ready. * * * Paula was once again finding it hard to get any time to herself. College took most of the hours in the week, followed by her modelling job. Add to that homework from college, and the remaining time was short. She also wanted to do some Christmas shopping, a present for Kelly being her big priority. "We can arrange to go to the shopping complex on the outskirts again if you like," said Alex. "They stay open late." "Oh, that reminds me," said Laura. "I've got to have a look in Joanne's room." Alex and Paula looked at one another. They didn't have a clue what Laura was after. The trip happened the following night. They had just heard off Joanne, who had passed on the good news that they had made it to round 4. That round and the next, would be tomorrow. So, as they headed to the shopping complex, they had no idea of Joanne's fortunes in Manchester. They just hoped that she and her collegues were still in it. Paula was busy looking for items for Kelly, when not getting distracted by things for her. Model shops still held a good part of her heart, and whenever she came across such a shop, she went in. "I couldn't resist!" she sighed, as she came out of a model shop with a set of rally cars in a familiar livery. "Put your signature on them. They might rise in value," said Alex. She did eventually buy some items for Kelly: a bottle of perfume and a new nightdress. On a side note, she looked in hair salons, looking at the styles advertised in the windows. She wanted to try something new, but without losing length. She knew that Joanne was willing to do her hair for her whenever she wanted. "Certainly saves money by having a stylist in the family," said Laura. Joanne had reserved free styling for family and the Walkers only. Kelly and Miriam had both had their hair done by her, and were pleased with the results. After having a meal in the food court, they continued with their shopping. Upon getting home, they checked the phone and discovered that Joanne had called. They tried to get through to her but failed. She had obviously gone to bed for the night. It was the following morning when they got another call from Joanne. "No sign of you coming home then?" asked Laura. "No way. We're through to round 6! Just 50 left. By tonight, it will be down to 25," said Joanne. "Well done. Do you think you'll win?" asked Laura. "We hope so, but reaching the last 10 would be something. It's getting tough, and the judges are being very strict now," said Joanne. "And where were you last night?" "We went out shopping. Not much time in the day, so we went to the big complex on the outskirts," said Laura. "Christmas shopping, I presume?" replied Joanne. "Oh well, I'd better start when I get back. Better go, got another head of hair to tend to." "Bye then," said Laura, putting the phone down. For Joanne, the pressure was building further as they progressed further into the contest. The tasks became more complicated, calling upon all the skills she had learnt in the past few years. "Got to do exotic styles that only grace the catwalk," she said to herself as she got the briefing for the last 50. "And got to do 2 models each." As tough as it was, she and her collegues went about it with the determination that had seen them get this far. They had been giving Sylvia progress reports every day and she was forever telling them that she was proud of them all. Their determination was proving good though, and they sighed a relief when they got a score that sent them into the final 25. "Honestly, that was a toughie," said Ellen. "Congratulations girls, we're now at the serious stage. You deserve a break." "We deserve a holiday," said Carol. "I'll talk to Sylvia when we get back," said Ellen. Being in the last 25 certainly meant that the stakes were higher. It was certainly an achievement to get this far. Only 12 would reach the next stage. By now, celebrity hairstylists were making appearances, much to the competitors delight. "We'll get noticed now," said Joanne excitedly. They were introduced to the celebrity stylists both before and during the next round. Joanne was pleased to show them what she was intending to do with the model's hair and felt a surge of confidence when she got complimented for it. "Just concentrate on the work in hand," said Ellen, though she had to smile. The results came at the end of the day, with Joanne and Carol wondering if their nail extensions could last much longer. But it ended with a huge group hug as they found themselves one step nearer the final. "I don't care what happens from now on," said Sylvia over the phone. "You've done this salon proud." Even Joanne's family were getting excited, despite continued calls for calm. "She and her collegues haven't won yet," said Laura. Paula was wondering if there was anything she could do to customise her crash helmet. She had received it a few weeks ago and her hair had no trouble in fitting inside. The helmet was just plain, but she wanted to decorate it, so that it really was her helmet. But for now, she just liked to show off with it. She used to wear it, just so that she could take it off, unclip her hair and shake it loose. She just wished Kelly could be there more often so that her desired "dream sequence" could be realised. Her dream of course finished with a victory celebration and a kiss from a certain blonde. * * * As the contest entered the final few days, the tension grew. The final contestants got their orders and had a couple of hours to plan things. "Do we get anything for getting this far?"asked Carol. "Just a round of applause," said Ellen. "Honestly, I think we are in the prizes now, but if you want decent prizes, we need to get to the next round and beyond." "I hope we do," said Joanne. All thought of this being her fortune had been forgotten. The media that had been covering the event were now getting more interested, and the contestants found themselves being interviewed more often. "Just keep a cool head, girls," said Ellen. "Don't go loud mouth just to impress them." The real time for cool heads arrived: the next round. Once more, all the contestants were challenged to their limits. Joanne and Carol felt drained afterwards. The long wait for the results didn't help. But the wait was worth it. They were into the last 12, resulting in another round of euphoria. Now the pressure was on. They were given the rest of the day to relax, but with the big prizes now in sight, it was hard to. All thought was now on reaching the last 6 - the final. Back at the Smith's house, Paula was wondering whether Joanne would want to do her hair when she got back. "I bet she'll be sick of hairdressing when she gets back," she told her parents. "Maybe for a few days, but not forever," said Laura. "This is her dream job after all, and she's worked hard to get it. Just give her a few days to get over it." "I've just found a style that I really like," added Paula. She showed them a photo in one of Joanne's magazines. "Very nice. Kelly will certainly love you like that," smiled Laura. Back in Manchester, the 12 remaining teams were being prepared for the final push. 6 teams knew that they would fall at this hurdle, leaving the others to fight for the crown. All the teams were hoping to be in that final. It was another tough challenge, this semi-final. Each team had 9 heads of hair to style, meaning 3 per team member. Each had to be unique in some way. The other thing was that the stylists could chose their own styles to do. "I might have to get used to multiple persons like this," said Joanne. "I'm sure my sister will be asking for my services on her big day." "Our salon is at her service in that case," said Ellen. "Sylvia does do wedding parties." "I do her hair anyway," said Joanne. "I do my mom's hair, and my future sister-in-law, and her mother too. But that's it." "I bet they love having a free trim now and again?" asked Carol. "Yes, but I can't do everything. I can't do perms as I don't yet have the equipment to set them," said Joanne. "I just dread the day my sister asks for a major trim." "Because her hair is so long and beautiful?" asked Ellen. "I did see her, her hair is very attractive." "Very good for a former tomboy," added Joanne. "I really have become fond of her." Family talk once again took a back seat as the semi-final arrived. They went to their room where everything was set up. All they needed was the models and a few deep breaths. The models soon arrived, all with varying lengths of hair. "What theme are we doing?" asked Ellen. "Your choice," said one of the models. "Party looks, remember," said Carol. "Oh, of course," replied Ellen. "At least we have a blank canvas for each," said Joanne, now studying the 3 models she had to do. Once all the teams were ready, and everyone else for that matter, the semi-final began. After several hours of tinting, trimming, lengthening, curling and straightening, the teams were told to stop work. "Good job," said one of Joanne's models. "I really like this look." "Thanks. I just hope the judges like it as much as you do," replied Joanne. They did, and as a whole. They scored 5th in the points for that round, putting them in the final. "Sylvia is going to throw a party for us, for sure now," said Ellen. She was right, as Sylvia was over the moon at the news. Reaching the final ensured that their salon would get a cash sum and recognition. At least they could have it put on the wall that they had reached the final. But that wasn't enough. They now hoped to win the final. They had a complete day to prepare for it, and Ellen decided to let them look round Manchester, doing some shopping in the process. Back home, the Smiths were preparing a party for Joanne when she got back, regardless of the final result. "She has done herself and her collegues proud," said Laura. "Her fortune promised this, remember?" said Paula. "I actually think she has forgotten that," said Laura. "And perhaps for the best. She now believes that her only way to win, is to work for it." * * * The final was expected to be tough. It had to be, to determine the best. Each team now had a whole group of models to do, and for Joanne, the topic was one that was going to be on her to do list in a year or two: a wedding party. "Ok, we've got to do, as a team, the bride and a group of 6 bridesmaids," said Ellen. "The age range varies too. Some of the bridesmaids will be young girls." "So, we need something similar for each?" asked Carol. "It would suit them to have similar styles, but some may have shorter hair," said Ellen. They consulted magazines, looking for suitable styles. They couldn't copy styles, but they could get inspiration." "Who gets to do the bride?" asked Carol. "She has to be the centrepiece." "Some would say I should do it, being the team leader, but Joanne, would you do the bride for us?" "I will," said Joanne, though she showed nerves. "Come in handy for my sister's wedding." "That's settled," said Ellen. "Now any ideas?" "The bride should have a similar style to the bridesmaids, but with more," said Joanne. "She has to look the part. A bride must look beautiful, full of confidence, that just a mere glance of her, will tell the groom that he is doing the right thing in marrying her." "Exactly, all eyes will be on her," said Ellen. "I have faith that you can pull it off." "No pressure then," said Joanne. Till now, all the teams had been allocated a room to do their work. Now, they were all in a large room that had been divided up by dividing walls. All necessary equipment was in their designated area. At least, they couldn't see what the other teams were up to. The judging panel were joined by the celebrities once more, and as with all previous rounds, they went round seeing what the teams were up to. But they had to have the models first. The bride was just what Joanne had hoped for: she had long brown hair with plenty of potential. The bridesmaids were 4 adults and 2 teenage girls. All were wearing dresses for the occasion. Soon, the wait to begin was over. Soon, loads of hands were busy at work, trying to come up with the best hairstyles possible. "Thank you for having long hair," said Joanne to the bride. "I feared I might need extensions." "No worries. I've always preferred my hair long, though I have had it short now and again," she replied. "Any way, I'm going to make you look fabulous," said Joanne. Carol and Ellen did have to use extensions on some of the bridesmaids, as their hair lengths differed greatly. But once the lengths had been evened out, they set to work. And though Joanne was working mainly on the bride, she did when possible help the others out. It was a team effort after all. A few hours later, after some last minute checks, they were happy to say finished. "If this doesn't get us a prize, I'll feel cheated," said Carol. "We'll all feel that way," said Joanne. "I think you've done a wonderful job," said the bride. "I would be pleased with this at my wedding." "We aim to please," said Ellen. "But our work is finished for today. I just hope we get the win." They just had to wait in the room next door while the judges did their work. It was all tense. Back at the salon and at the Smiths' house, all were eagerly awaiting the call that would tell them exactly how well they had done. While they waited, they just tried to get on with everyday life. It was a long wait, or it felt like one. It was around 6pm when the call came through, and by the sound of Joanne's voice, it had to be good news. "Hi Joanne. So, how did you do?" "Hi mom, we're still a little out of breath at the moment," said Joanne. "The news is.... WE WON!!!!!" "Fantastic!" said Laura. "Oh, I'm absolutely pleased for you!" "But it was close. The runners-up were very very good indeed. Oh, we just want to party at the moment," replied Joanne. "Ok, I understand. You'll be home tomorrow, I take it?" asked Laura. "Yes. But give me a break from hairdressing for a while," said Joanne. "Ok, that will be done," said Laura. "But Paula will be disappointed. She has found a nice style she wants to try." "I'm not saying no to her, but she'll have to wait," said Joanne. "Got to go, as the press want a few photos. Bye." "Bye," said Laura. Alex and Paula were both waiting for the news, which Laura duelly passed onto them. When Joanne returned the next day, there was certainly going to be a warm welcome for them. * * * Dear Diary Joanne's fortune has come about. Winning the hairdressing contest has brought near celebrity status to her and her work collegues. With this title in hand, they are now practically entered for the world championships. Joanne is likely to want to go, but she is grateful that they are around July next year. I can safely say that this year has ended on a high for Joanne. Not only has she now got a strong reputation at work, she has got a big day of her own to plan. Alan came around on Christmas Day and gave her one wonderful present. It did involve him getting down on one knee, and Joanne shedding a few tears, but it certainly made the day special. So, the new year holds a lot in store for me and my family. Kelly and I are into our final years at college and hope to get jobs afterwards, though I'm already guarenteed one. Kevin and Linda have decided to marry next year, as opposed to us, who will marry the year after. That means a busy few weeks of planning for Kelly and I. I still feel for Kevin, who has chosen Mike to be his best man, and the one to organise his stag party. Talking of Mike, I heard that after more talks with his parents, he has finally proposed to Alicia. So, I'm getting wed, my sister is getting wed and there are 2 more weddings to come involving friends. The years ahead are certainly going to be busy. As for fortunes, they have all come true now, with the exception of mine. I'm not sure whether or not my fortune applied to my future partner, but I know now that Kelly is that person. I know now that I've really been a lesbian all the time, just with a boys body. It may be a while yet, but I consider my fortune complete already. I'm the woman I was meant to be and I'm engaged to Kelly. I look forward to becoming a wife to her, and that we may have a family to raise. All that, and hopefully become a rallycar driving champion too. Well, heres to the future. A new year awaits. Signing off for the year. Paula Anne Smith, aged 18.

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 18

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 18 It was nearly 9:00am when Paul awoke next morning. Kelly was snuggled up beside him. He started to stroke her hair when she stirred. "Morning beautiful," he said. "What time is it?" she replied, yawning. "Nearly nine," he replied. "I've got to get ready, my dad is picking me up at ten." "Can't you stop a bit longer?" she asked, kissing him. "I've got to leave before your parents show up," he said. "Ok then," she sighed. He...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 38

The Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 38 Friday came and Paula was given the chance to have a few extra hours in bed. Having eventually got up, she washed and dressed before heading down for breakfast. "Morning," said Laura. "You have slept in." "I know," yawned Paula. "What're we doing today?" "Have some more mother-daughter time if you like," she replied. "That would be great. Just wish there was more I could do with my hair," said Paula. "In time. It is near to shoulder...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 36

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 36 Paula went to bed Friday night still reeling from the fact that her parents had had sex in a college classroom. But since that bit of skulduggery, they had obviously cleaned up their act. The following morning, Paula prepared for her day at Alicia's. Without a set of earplugs available, she was trying to think of other ways to worm her way out of listening to hours of pop music. "Oh don't try to worm your way out," said Laura. "You may well...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 25

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 25 Friday. The last day of term and as a result, just a half day at that. Paula knew that she would have some spare time on her hands today and she was wondering whether or not she could get some unplanned extra time with Kelly. But first there was still a first period to recover from. In fact, she felt worse. She got up and slowly made her way to the bathroom and took the tampon out. It was soaked in blood and this only made her feel worse still....

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 26

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 26 Paula and Kelly decided to go just after 5:00pm. Seeing that they were both making their own way home, they left together. "I'm sorry about earlier Kelly," said Paula. "I really do want to make love to you, but that was not the right moment." "We wanted to do it at her birthday party but that was when you were still Paul," she replied. "I know. If your parents weren't such cows, we may have done it by now," said Paula. They hadn't gone...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 22

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 22 Laura's shopping trip was nothing more than a trip to the local supermarket, to pick up some much needed groceries. With Paul's voice very much non existant, Laura spoke to him in a way that merely required him to shake or nod his head. However, he had an idea to make communication easier. They were taking a break from shopping and having a drink in a cafe. "It is awkward when you've lost your voice," said Laura. "I lost it for a while before you...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 10

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 10 It was Sunday and the last day of the holiday. Paul awoke knowing that the latest meeting with Paula (as he now refered to her) would have to be discussed with his family. His mother was in the same predicament. He checked to see whether his breasts had grown more or if anything else was different. Nothing had changed as far as he could tell. He washed and for the first time, decided not to use his shaving kit. Since it was now known that he...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 13

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 13 Paul arrived home and explained about his reformed friendship with Mike and how his parents had influenced his decision making. "Not really surprising to be fair." said Laura. "Homosexuality was illegal many years ago and is still shunned by many religions to this day. Despite much support for it since, the world in general still hates it." "But do people have to agree with other people? We have our independence." said Paul. "You do, but...

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 27 Kelly awoke Tuesday morning wondering what her dad had got to say about her. She went down to breakfast and found him quickly sifting through the morning paper. He quickly glanced at her over the top of it and then retreated behind it again. Her mom just gave her a sympathetic shake of the head. In fact, not a word of the heated conversation was mentioned that morning. "Have a good day at work," said Miriam to her husband. "How long before...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 15

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 15 Paul arrived home and took his bag upstairs. "Come down here. Need you to try these on," called Laura. Paul quickly came back down and went into the living room. Laura was sitting down and she was holding two pairs of trousers. From first glance, they didn't look like girls trousers. "They're plain enough so that no one will tell unless they stare long enough," said Laura. "Unless girls notice," said Joanne. "Never mind that," said...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 28

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 28 Despite a growing interest in clothes, hair and make-up, Paula Smith was still showing no sign in giving up the love of motor sport that she had developed when she was still Paul. This was a real benefit to the rest of her family who still missed Paul. They could see that Paul, though gone, was still present within the new girl. The days leading up to Easter were quiet in comparison to those preceding them. Paula had phoned Alicia up the next day...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 41

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 41 Friday came and that posed a question. This was the day that they ate out. They were more than willing to take Kelly with them, but in her condition, could they find a place which would cater for someone in a wheelchair. They had posed the question to her Thursday evening and she said she was more than prepared to go out. "Don't let me stop you going out. I'll go with you," she said defiantly. So, on Friday, it was decided that she should go...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 46

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 46 After another brief spell of window shopping, Laura took the girls home. As soon as they did, Paula went upstairs and turned on her phone. She knew that there were people who would be interested to learn that she and Kelly had finally made out. "Hi Linda. Just calling to see how you are," said Paula. "I'm ok. Been quiet actually since the party, I mean since Kev and I got intimate. What about you?" replied Linda. "Nothing much here either,...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 58

Fortune Cookie (Revised) - Part 58 It had been nearly 2 years since Joanne had helped win the National Hairdressing Championship. She had gone on to help them achieve 3rd place in the World Championships the following year. But for now, Joanne had other things on her mind. "Wake up lazy bones! You don't want to be late for your own wedding!" she said, waking Paula from her sleep. "What time is it?" yawned Paula. "8:00 in the morning. We've got a lot to do, including your hair,"...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 7

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 7 Paul was seething after his sister's actions. He remained in his room for the remainder of the night and eventually turned in. He started to dream uneasily, and his female self entered. "You seem troubled?" she asked. "Yes, my sister, that spoilt bitch, has ruined my relationship with the girl I love." "Is the relationship off?" she added. "It's got to be! Her parents will bar her from seeing me now," he replied. "Don't give up just...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 30

The Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 30 Tuesday came and Paula had arranged a meeting with her mother for Wednesday. Laura was to meet her at school and attend the college event with her. The exams were now playing on her mind again as their beginning was now very close. "Morning beautiful," said Kelly. She was waiting outside the school walls and called Paula into a corner. "If we have to be secret, then so be it. My love for you is no secret though," she added, sharing a kiss...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 6

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 6 Paul arrived home and headed upstairs as usual to put his bag in his room. Whilst he was up there, he headed for the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He noticed that his face was softer, though not enough to look feminine. His eyebrows hadn't been touched since he had found Joanne's tweezers, so they helped keeping him looking masculine. The question that bothered him was how long this state of affairs would remain. How long before the face he...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 19

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 19 Paul returned home and went upstairs to change. He had a small number of womens clothes to choose from, something he was keen to improve on. Still, he had some clothes to wear. "Thats better," he sighed, as he came downstairs and accepted Laura's offer of a drink. "How was your day at school, Paula?" asked Laura. "Fine, no jokes, and Alicia is ok with the plan," he replied. "Thats good. How're you going to arrange visits?" she...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 29

The Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 29 Paula and Kelly left their mothers at the cafe and went to explore more clothes shops. "I really like the fact you want a bikini," said Kelly. "I can just picture the two of us, lying on a beach, soaking up the sun enjoying each others company." "Yes, hopefully before our honeymoon too," said Paula. "We can just have a sign nearby saying "Men Fuck Off. Lesbians in Love."" "I like the idea, but I doubt it would work. Men don't like women...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 33

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 33 Laura and Miriam had left the salon for a reason. The surprise that Laura had promised for Paula had got to be collected. Miriam came along because it also involved Kelly. Laura led Miriam to a jewellers shop a few hundred yards away. "Do you think they have them ready?" asked Miriam. "They are," said Laura. "I phoned the shop on Friday. Now they are identical in every way but for size." "If what you told me about them is true, Kelly should...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 37

Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 37 They got off the bus and found themselves on a busy city centre street. "Still busy," said Linda. "Lots of workers, college students and the like," said Laura. "Now, I think it's this way." They walked along a number of long shop filled streets before heading towards the fringes of the city centre. It was a fair walk over all and they were glad when the Sealife Centre came into view. "Bugger, got to ask for 5 adults," said Laura. The...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 11

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 11 Paul awoke next morning to find that his breasts had started to get bigger. Not much growth, but enough to show change. Having washed, he applied some more cream to his nipples and put on the sports bra. "More development, but not much," he said to Laura as he arrived for breakfast. "Morning sis," said Joanne, munching on some toast and marmalade. "Morning," said Paul. "Remember that your "sister" is still a boy," said Laura. "It's ok....

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 40

Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 40 For Kelly, the remainder of Tuesday was boring. After having Paula and Linda visit, the day saw no more visitors. She was eager to go home, or to what would be her home for the next few weeks. She eagerly ate her dinner that evening before finally going to sleep hours later. The next day arrived, she had breakfast and a nurse came with her wheelchair. It was fitted with a support for her leg. Another nurse came up to help her out of bed. "Steady...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 4

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 4 Paul went to bed that night wondering what was going to happen about him and Kelly. Kelly was aware that his days as a boy were numbered and wanted him to experience making love before it was too late. It was one thing he was looking forward to, and he knew she felt likewise. But with both sets of parents trying to dictate when they could, it was not going to be easy. He managed to get through the night without meeting his female self. He felt...

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 12 Paul spent Saturday trying to watch the practice and qualifying sessions for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Kevin would be coming for to watch the race and have dinner too. His viewing pleasure on Saturday however, was disturbed by Laura, who had decided that there was a programme she wanted to watch. "Mom! You know I like to watch every aspect of a Grand Prix!" he complained. "We like to watch the television too," was her answer. Paul knew...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 17

The Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 17 Paul awoke Friday morning having slept happily all night. The experience of going out last night as Paula had been enjoyable to say the least. But the best was to come, for Paula was going to a birthday party/sleepover tonight. The thought of which seemed to settle him for the day. His parents feared he may refuse to dress in his boys clothes as was the case last time, but not this time. "Morning mom," he said as he arrived in the kitchen to...

Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 39 Laura and Miriam were still talking in the dry cleaners, completely unaware of what had transpired. Only pausing when customers came in, they were now awaiting the arrival of their daughters. "They should have been here by now," said Miriam. "I'll just take a look outside," said Laura. Paula was kneeling over Kelly, tears and mascara running down her face. A crowd had gathered and the female driver of the car had also come out to see if Kelly was...

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 43 After eating in town, Paula, Kelly and Laura made for home. They walked the distance with Kelly determined to show that her left leg was very much up to the task. Still, she didn't hurry and Paula and Laura were patient with her. Upon arrival, she went into the living room and sat down. "Told you I could make it," she said. "I'll be fine in a few days." "We're not asking you to rush," said Laura. "But your legs will be fine soon enough. How about...

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 44 Paula and Kelly kept their promise to not tell anyone about their proposed use of cherries and fresh cream in their love making. To make things easier for themselves, they decided to spend the rest of the day discussing what to get Linda. Fortune Cookie Revised Part 45

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 45 Paula and Kelly were now aware that their parents would be dining together at the Smith house on Wednesday evening. Both were unaware of what was to follow. "So, seen any more hot new fashions?" said Laura, as they left the dry cleaners and headed down the high street. "Plenty, but the best clothes are inside the shops, such as the lingerie," said Kelly. "I want to see Paula wearing some black lace undies!" "Then buy me some!" said Paula. "At...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 47

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 47 Saturday 26th July. The first weekend proper of the summer holidays. One week today would see Kelly and her parents go away. The following week saw Paula and her family go away, missing Kelly's birthday in the process. This still hurt Paula to a degree, even though Laura had told her that the Walkers were inviting her over on the Sunday after they came back, with a sleepover included. Kelly had been informed of this too, though she was unaware that...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 50

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 50 Paula celebrated her defense of top spot in the time trials with caution, knowing that by the time she next sat in a go-kart, she may find herself really up against it to retain that position. Still, she decided to give Kelly the news when she phoned that evening. But one other thing came up at dinner prior to that. Her meeting with Alan. "First Steven and now Alan. Two boys have shown an interest in me," she said. "I feel sorry that I have to...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 51

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 51 Kelly awoke Monday morning, with mixed emotions. She was now 17 and for a just over a week, 1 year older than her girlfriend Paula. The day was going to be awkward as her parents were back at work and she would be left alone for most of the day. With Paula on holiday, she didn't have her usual place to go. She got up and got dressed, in something casual, as she planned on wearing a dress for the party that afternoon. After brushing her hair, she...

Fortune Cookie Revised Part 52

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 52 Paula had enjoyed her trip around the car museum at Caister. It was inside the local castle and did have a few sports cars among the exhibits. She had to settle with just Alex for company as her mom and sister spent the morning looking round the town of Caister. They eventually moved onto the North Norfolk Railway and spent the afternoon looking at the locomotives and riding up and down the line. It was during a stop for petrol on the way back to...

Fortune Cookie 1 (Revised) Part 53 As planned, the Smiths spent the last day of their holiday walking along the streets of Great Yarmouth, picking up a few souvenirs along the way. They also planned a visit to the Pleasure Beach but Paula found herself unable to go on a number of rides due to her period. It didn't stop her from doing a few things though. She spent a while in the amusement arcades trying to win a toy rally car. She gave up when it was clear she could buy one from a shop for a...

Fortune Cookie (Revised) Part 54 Arriving back at the Walker house, Kelly and Paula decided to make the most of the few hours that they had the house to themselves. "I'll do us some food in a while," said Kelly. "I do know a few things." "Ok, but what do you want to do first, other than maybe suck on my tongue?" asked Paula, sitting down on the sofa in the living room. "Just do some talking," said Kelly, coming in with two cans of cola she had acquired from the fridge. "So,...

The Fortune Cookie 2 Chapter 1: "Another day studying? Why don't you take time out to check out some girls? That's if you really are into them," asked Phil. He was speaking to his college roommate, Casey. It was the weekend and Casey, as always, was sitting on his bed with his face buried in a book. He was a bookworm and studyholic: Something that long-term friend Phil found hard to understand. He peered over the edge of his book and turned slightly to meet the glance of...

Moms Christmas Cookie Pt 3 of 3

Cookie held a finger to her lips while looking up at the camera.  Then she went over to the door of her room and opened it.  I faintly heard Mom say something over the Christmas music in my earbuds, and then Cookie said, “What do you think, Sis?  Follow them.”Mom responded, and then Cookie gave me a thumbs-up to the camera.  She crawled into bed to wait, striking a sexy pose. The wait for Mom to change felt as if it was taking forever.  I was so nervous that my erection even drooped.  Finally,...

Moms Christmas Cookie Pt 2 of 3

My cock was bouncing up to tap against her as she moved into position. Then she grabbed my erection, stood it up, and wiggled it through her damp pussy hair. I drew in a deep breath of anticipation just before she slid me into her.She whimpered and I groaned in almost perfect counterpoint as she slowly sank down on top of me. She felt like pure heaven.“Your cock feels so good inside me, baby,” she said as the last of me vanished into her.“I love your pussy, aunt Cookie,” I responded.“Take a...
