Author's Chat Night Guest: ChilliTNG On Friday: June 4, 1999 6PM PST With special guest moderator under the microscope, Wendy-J Edited by Wendy-J (*Wendy-J) Here we go! Chilli, do you have an opening statement? (Chilli) Well, since you asked so nicely, I'll keep this brief! (I've been known to ramble on a bit). Thanks to EVERYONE for showing up. I'm OVERWHELMED at the response. I just want to say a quick thanks to a couple of people and then we can get going. Thanks to Mindy, for such a fantastic site! Thanks to Carol, for giving me the spine to submit my first story. Thanks to Janice Dreamer, for being such a supportive, giving friend. Thanks to P. J., for being so open with ideas and comments. Thanks to Wendy, for your comments and for being willing to host this. Editor's Note- P'shaw... Twern't nuthin... Gawrsh! Huyuk. Lastly, thanks to all of you out there -- if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be doing this. Hello Liz! (Liz Bennett) Hello Chills! (Chilli) Now, let the questions begin! *Grin* (rebel1) Chili, One recent author and critic on Fictionmania referred to all the stories as pornography. Do you agree? Are we all pornographers? (Chilli) Whoa! Good question. No, I do not agree. Pornography is a very subjective thing. One person's idea of porn might simply be another's idea of a "good time." There is a very harsh connotation with the word "pornography" also. And I don't feel it applies here. "Erotic fiction," perhaps, but not pornography. (rebel1) Just makes us feel better! ;) (SteveZ) Chilli, have there been any let up in your *Real Life* activities to let you get back to any writing? Your wit has been missed. (Chilli) Thanks, Steve. I've certainly been swamped with *Real Life* duties then again, so have we all, but I am happy to report that I've thrashed together a laptop and I'm trying to do a little writing at lunch and in off hours. (PJ) Of all the stories you've written, which is your favorite and why? (This is like asking you which is your favorite kid, I know!) (Chilli) Do you want the honest answer or the glib answer? The glib answer is: "The NEXT one." The reason I say that is that I'm trying to continue to grow and develop as a writer. (PJ) *Laughing* What's the HONEST answer. (Chilli) The honest answer is: "Everything Old is New Again" but, then again, there are a couple of things in the works that I like better. They just aren't out yet. (Anne-Mal) I see that you also edit stories for people. What do you get out of doing that rather than writing? (Chilli) Good question, Ann. (PJ) (And does a damn fine job of it, BTW.) (Chilli) I enjoy the editing because it gives me a chance to see someone else's work AS IT DEVELOPS. That is tremendously exciting for me as a writer. Also, to have someone else trust me enough to let me see their "babies" as it were (SteveZ) (My sentiments, exactly) (Chilli) and to make suggestions on how to "raise" them is something that I do NOT take lightly. That's also why I try to read everything I can get my hands on. The more you see, the more you know. (Mindy) "Everything Old is New Again", is a she-male story, the rest of yours are magical or SF, which is harder to write? (Chilli) Leave it to Mindy to ask a nice, tough question that actually has a simple answer. The stories I write do not start out as being a she-male, magical or SF story. They start out as characters. If the character requires being transformed through magical means, then so be it. If the character demands retaining both male and female characteristics, that's how it goes. It sounds corny, I know, but I really do "see" the characters in my head. Long before I start to write something down, I have the characters interact in different ways. Some things work out others don't. The things that work out get written down. Ultimately, however, I want to tell stories about PEOPLE. How's that for a short answer? *Grin* (PJ) Chilli, you mentioned reading as a means to improve your writing. What kind of things to do you read? (Chilli) Well, certainly other fiction here on Fictionmania. The stories sent out to the list. In "mainstream," I read science-fiction, horror, fiction, mysteries. Programming manuals, magazines, etc. The one thing I don't like to read is the newspaper -- too darn many grammatical errors for me. (PJ) (Programming manuals as a crutch to TG fiction, now there's something I haven't tried yet and I've got a bunch, too!) (Chilli) Sometimes I use 'em to help me sleep. C++ is NOT an entertaining topic. (rebel1) 10 of the top 20 most read stories on Fictionmania have she- males in them. Why do you think that is? Do Fictionmaniacs have a fixation with she-males? (Chilli) Not to sound glib, Rebel, but probably because they're well written stories. I think that the visitors here find authors they like and try to read all of their works. Whether or not "Fictionmaniacs" have a fixation with she-males is beyond me to speculate. But, if that were true, my story 'Everything Old is New Again' would have a lot more hits than it currently does. (Mindy) Going back to the porno question, you are the first author in chat that has included bondage in their stories. Is the fetish side of the story something you wanted to add , needed to spice up the story or used in pursuit of political correctness? (Chilli) I see your point -- I think you're referring to "Nine Tenths". The only reason that was in there was because the character (whose name escapes me -- terrible that I can't remember my own characters!) was very dominant and the ghost decided to show her a flip side to her psyche. There wasn't really any bondage, in the traditional sense, in PPC. The transformees there were simply being detained, Dr. Valerian did NOT derive any gratification from their detainment. At least, not any sexual gratification. (Mindy) Other authors seem to shy away from the fetishes and I think that is what drives the read counters, though I might be wrong on that point. (Chilli) Oh! I never thought of that. I certainly don't write to "drive the read counters." At least, not consciously. (Mindy) The reference to the she-male stories being very popular reads, they also contain allot of fetish scenes! (Chilli) Well, it's food for thought. (Note to self: write more bondage stories.) (Mindy) Just curious about how you looked upon this aspect of a story. (Chilli) I really look at it, Mindy, as plot dictated. If it fits, then it goes in. If not, why include it? (Mindy) Good point. (Chilli) Bottom line (no pun intended) is that people do derive pleasure from consensual acts. (Bashful) Who are your favorite authors on Fictionmania? (Chilli) Okay. Here it comes. In all honesty, I cannot say that I have only one favorite author on Fictionmania. I think that P J. Wright is a brilliant author. So is Brandy Dewinter. Carol Collins... (PJ) (Wright's a hack. He owes it all to his editor.) (Chilli) I absolutely loved Janice Dreamer's "Class Project" and I'm trying REALLY hard to get her to finish it. Wendy's new story is great, too. Editor's comment - I like my story as do a lot of you but I'd hardly call it great. Thank you, Chilli, for the complement. (Chilli) I cut my teeth, so to speak, on Eddie Glover stories. I love what The Professor does. Waldo, too. Steve's stories are a lot of fun and show great understanding of the characters he "borrows." (SteveZ) Thanks! (Chilli) I'm certain that I'm forgetting scads of authors out there. Raven. Paul1954. Gosh, the list goes on and on. If I've forgotten someone, I apologize. I really do try to read everything that comes out here. (Bashful) Who are your favorite *Real Life* authors? (Chilli) In "mainstream" work, I am a big fan of Stephen King. Peter David. Isaac Asimov. Neil Stephenson. Spider Robinson! My mind is drawing a HUGE blank here now. (Anne-Mal) Is Fictionmania too much of a womb? A nice safe place to write stories but the real world is too scary? (Chilli) Well, Ann, I don't know. It is certainly a nurturing place and it's nice to be able to write to an audience that you know is predisposed to like your work. But, I don't think it's that insulating from the "scary" world of writing, if that's what you mean. You can post stories here and know that you'll get a few responses of "GREAT STORY!" that stroke the ego. (Anne-Mal) I mean it stops you from sending out stories to the real world. (Chilli) Why would it stop you? If you want to send out a story to the real world, do so. Fictionmania is also a place where you can go and ask for honest criticism of your work from people who will take the time to read through it and analyze it for you. (Anne-Mal) Have you sent stories out to be published in the real world? (Chilli) No. I have been asked to do so, but I do not wish to. Everything I write here is intended to remain free for as long as magnetic alignment keeps it in check. I have written other things -- non-fiction things -- that have been published. But, I doubt that you'd be interested in them. (Anne-Mal) So something other than money is important to you. (Chilli) Yes. Money is not a motivation to me. (Anne-Mal) May I ask what is? (Chilli) You may ask . . . (anyone know the reference?) Editor's Note - Chilli is a movie trivia buff folks. He's always finding some obscure line to hit you with. I have, as usual, no clue as to what he is referring us to. (Chilli) What motivates me is being able to tell a story to the best of my ability and that, when I'm done, I'm happy with it. If others like it, so much the better. But I write, typically, only for myself. (Sorry for being so long-winded, gang!) (PJ) You mentioned earlier that you've found some time to write and hinted that there's "stuff in the works" ... (Chilli) Oh no -- the dreaded P J.elipsis! (PJ) Care to elaborate? (and if money ever does become a problem, I'll be happy to help lighten the load for you) (Chilli) *Grin* Yes . . . .? (PJ) (Just so you'll know it's me ) (Chilli) Well, there's a problem. I don't like to release stories before they're ready. That means that I typically don't like to talk about them but, if you all promise to not pressure me or anything, I'll give you a couple of hints of some future plans. (PJ) I'll content myself with hints, though I'd rather have the completed stories! No pressure. :) (Chilli) Damn -- I KNEW it was going too well *Grin* Editor's Note - In Chilli's defense here, he uses AOL. On AOL you can send a typed message in a chat room or in an instant message using a keyboard combination of [Tab] + [Space]. The [Enter] key is nothing more than a carriage return on AOL. The key sequence at AOL is essentially the same thing as what the [Enter] key does in the FM chat rooms, but here, it disconnects you! Chilli got disconnected and missed P. J.'s comment on wanting completed stories. (Chilli) Sorry -- fat fingers. Okay. What was I saying before my train of thought derailed? Oh yes. Future stuff. Well, one thing I'm toying with is an Austin Powers-like story with a TG twist. I've been "chided" on my penchant for telling stories that are basically one long pun (i.e., "Nine Tenths"), so to really tork off the person who made that comment, I've got a couple more like that in mind... Shaggy TG Dog Stories, as it were. (PJ) (Cool!) (Chilli) I'm tentatively working on a collaboration with another author who, I know, feels the same way that I do about talking about stories being released before their time, so I won't say anything about that. And, I've been working on a story -- what is turning out to be my opus, it seems -- that borrows some of P.J.'s NuGen technology. I think that's it. There may be one or two more in the ol'bonce, but, if so, they're buried at the moment. (Bashful) Will there be a sequel to "Nine Tenths"? You seem to have set it up for one. (Chilli) Not from me, Bashful. At least, not unless I can think of another great pun to end it with. Editor's Note - Dead silence ensued. It hung about our heads like an angry cloud. I was talking to Anne-Mal and we had just finished saying how smooth it was running. Everyone so polite and I didn't have to ask for a single question. I always had at least 1 in the queue... up to this point. (*Wendy-J) Well considering Ann and I jinxed it Editor's Note - I loaded the gun for later. (*Wendy-J) If you could take a story back which would it be? (Chilli) Oh. That's EASY. "Mansion of Mayhem." Don't read it. Don't even look at it. (*Wendy-J) Why???? (Chilli) The blunt answer is because I think it blows chunks! But, in all honesty, I didn't like it because it wasn't MY scenario. Again I interrupt - This story won Gunslinger's first shootout! (Chilli) It came about as part of Gunslinger's first writing contest. I was stuck at a point in "Everything Old is New Again" and thought I'd try this "new thing". I'd only been writing here in Fictionmania-Land (soon to be franchised by TV-Land, so I hear) for a month or so. I started ping- ponging between the two stories. Then, I decided that Mansion of Mayhem just wasn't going anywhere. But, I made a commitment to Gunslinger that I'd enter. And I don't like to break my promises. So, I finished it and shipped it off. And I still wish that I had just left it alone. (Although, I don't think I've yet seen another story here at Fictionmania with a talking vagina.) Better Than Mr. Ed if you ask me. (Anne-Mal) Do you have any stories not on the TG-list or Fictionmania? What and where are they? (Chilli) No, Ann, I don't. I was approached by TG Stories to write for them and declined. I was also approached by another pay site and declined that, too. I kind of wish that my stuff was posted at Nifty, but, for some reason, it isn't. And, someday, I hope to make one of Jenny's Picks. (Anne-Mal) I think you have to send it to Nifty to get it on. Why wouldn't you write pay stories? (Chilli) Boy! Lots of reasons. First, I have enjoyed so many of the stories here that are free I feel that this is my way to "give something back." Second, I don't like the idea of someone else profiting from my work. Third and perhaps most importantly, because I really hope that some reader sees one of my works or one of the works that I've helped to edit and gets an idea for a new story that just blows away anything I could ever do or hope to do. THAT, my friends, is a legacy. I don't even care if that author ever acknowledges me or my contributions. I just want the site to get better and better and better. (ellie) How do you work out the plotting of one of your stories? (Chilli) You're gonna think it's silly, Ellie, but I let the characters tell me. Well, most of the time I do. I get a general idea, then I populate it with the appropriate characters and I wait to see what develops. I do write linearly. (ellie) No "landmarks" along the way? (Chilli) Well, my "opus" work does have some landmarks. It got too big for me to simply plot in my head. (ellie) So you don't have an end point your trying to get to? (Chilli) Not always. Sometimes, the idea I have IS the end point. I let the characters take me there. That's what happened with Nine Tenths. I had the idea for the pun and went backwards from there. (ellie) It was a good pun. The beauty of a pun is in the "OY!" of the beholder. (Chilli) Well, thank you. The louder one groans, the better the pun. (ellie) The main reason people groan is the regret that they didn't think of it first. (Chilli) That could be, Ellie. I hadn't thought of that. (*Wendy-J) [Seeing as I have no questions in the que and Chilli has been gracious enough to stay past the hour, I guess we can open the floor up to him. Remember, this is his night, the spotlight is still on him. All questions and comments should be directed to Chilli.] (Bashful) my characters guide the story as well but some times they take a wrong turn an I have to back them up. do you re-write much? (Chilli) Almost never, Bashful. If things take a "wrong turn," then I deal with it. To me, that means that the characters didn't like what I "hoped" they'd do and want to explore a different story. Most of the time, though, they're pretty cooperative. *Grin* (PJ) (Characters. You care for them, you feed them . . . and they just wind up eating the scenery!) (ellie) I get a premise and an end. Landmarks show up as I plot it out, but, like you said, sometimes I have to wrestle with the characters to get there. And sometimes they win. (Chilli) Ellie, I know what you mean. But, sometimes, the characters know better than do I. One person's opinion. I know he's well-respected and all, but it was still just his opinion. (Anne-Mal) Have you ever created a character you despised? (Chilli) Ann, most of the characters in Mansion of Mayhem were pretty nasty. (Anne-Mal) Is that why you don't want anyone to read it? (Chilli) No, Ann -- I don't want anyone to read it because I think it's my worst work. There are much better examples of my writing on Fictionmania. May I ask a question? (PJ) (You just did!) (Chilli) Did any of you read my poem, "A TG Christmas"? If so, did you like the poetry concept? (And, if you didn't read it, WHY NOT? *Grin*) (*Wendy-J) ROTF The Nerve! (It really was a good poem. Possibly the first poem submitted to FM) (SteveZ) I loved it and told you so at that time. (Anne-Mal) You said you have published in the real world, could you say what type of article it was? (Chilli) Ann -- the things I have published have been of a technical nature. Computer-related. Also, a BUNCH of movie reviews in newspapers. (Bashful) So, did you like the Phantom Menace. (Chilli) Don't know yet. I have had too many *Real Life* things to let me see it. (*Wendy-J) But you got more press than it did! Ask Bashful! (PJ (Deservedly so, in my opinion.) (Bashful) I didn't say that someone else did, I think it was Carol (Collins) (Chilli) LOL -- How about a HUGE round of applause for my publicist, Wendy! Editor's Plea - Somebody PLEASE tell me this did not happen! (Bashful) golf clap (SteveZ) CLAP (Anne-Mal) Good Job Wendy! (Mindy) ROFLMAO (lrochelle) CLAP (PJ) thank you, Wendy! (*Wendy-J) *Deep Curtsy* (rebel1) Chilli if you are a movie critic, have you thought about doing a story based on a movie? Expanding on it? (Chilli) Not really, Rebel1 -- I like to think up my own scenarios. (Mindy) Have you ever written yourself in to one of your stories as a character? (Chilli) Mindy, no, I can't say that I have written myself into a story in total. Perhaps certain aspects of myself have shown up in different characters from time to time. (Lana) Chilli.. Since you have written movie reviews for newspapers, would you consider writing some for the movies I have featured at my website? (Chilli) Lana, I'd have to take a look at the movies in question. But certainly, I'd be happy to. (Lana) Chilli, Thanks.... my url is in the links section at Fictionmania. The movies in question are the ones over time that feature a TG transformation of some sort. (Chilli) Lana, I will check it out and let you know, all right? You can feel free to post any review or simply ignore it if it doesn't meet your standards. No offense will be taken. (Lana) Chilli.. Such a deal! (ellie) What about a "sidebar", something not related to the plot of the movie but set in that universe? (Chilli) Ellie, I don't know. It is certainly an interesting idea. Perhaps, if I find the right movie, character or scene, I may "lift" it for my own nefarious purposes. heh-heh-heh (lrochelle) Chilli, Are all your characters predetermined or do some arrive during the writing? (Chilli) Rochelle, I think that the main characters certainly are predetermined . . . even ones that amount to little more than cannon fodder. But, every once in a while, new ones do pop up. It also depends upon the length of the story. The hardest thing for me to come up with, believe it or not, is the name for a character. If the name isn't one hundred percent right, the character just doesn't work for me. (ellie) I know what you mean. Some of my characters have changed names three or four times in the course of the writing. (Anne-Mal) Is there any type of story you wouldn't write? (PJ) (a bad one) (Chilli) Ann, yes. Certainly. Anything with overt, mean-spirited brutality. Nothing involving scatological activities. (Carol__Collins) Have you ever considered writing a very long story? (Chilli) Carol -- Yes, I'm currently writing my longest story to date. If my current amount of text indicates anything, it may well reach 300K to 800K. (Anne-Mal) I think Mindy just hit the floor! (Carol__Collins) That is a long story! (Chilli) I'm trying to take my time with character development. Trying to create characters that you really care about . . . well, at least that I really care about. I hope that others will care about them, but I'm going to tell the story nonetheless. Whoa! One at a time! *Grin* Editor's Note - I have cut and pasted the questions and answers into a logical format. To his credit, He missed none. He had fielded 4 or 5 separate questions at once. I had to laugh. Now he knows what Anne faces all the time and what I faced that night! (Bashful) I have to leave Chilli, great stories, keep them coming. (Chilli) Bashful, thanks! (SteveZ) Chilli, they say an author should never proofread or maybe edit themselves. I found this out the hard way with my new Batgirl story. Would you mind editing for me? (Chilli) Steve -- I can't make any promises, but I will try. I'm pretty swamped right now. (SteveZ) Thanks, C (bdt) Chilli what words of encouragement would you give to someone who is writing a story for the first time? (Chilli) BD, words of encouragement? Hmmmmm. Write. Write. Write. *Grin* (bdt) Thank you (Chilli) Seriously, write for yourself. Don't write what you think other people want to read. Find an author out there whose work you like and read everything they've written. (Unless, God forbid, it's me, then skip Mansion of Mayhem!) Then, when you've got something written that you think is the best you can do, send the author (or several authors) a nice, polite letter asking if you could send them something to review. Ask for their criticism. Don't be upset if you get little feedback from some. Moreover, don't be upset if you get LOTS of feedback from others. (SteveZ) Great advice! (Anne-Mal) Is criticism necessary? (Chilli) Ann, YES. But, please remember, criticism is not BAD. I hate to keep harping on this, but criticism -- the real, true kind of criticism, is both good and bad. A good critic will point out what you did right and will not just slam you for what you did wrong but will help you see a better way to do it. There isn't one of us here who couldn't improve. (bdt) I would expect such criticism, I also think that the author of he story would be the harshest critic (Chilli) BD, it's strange -- some authors are their own worst critics (present company included!). (ellie) I think that people need to be reminded that good criticism helps us to be better writers and to give them better stories. I know I am when I write poetry, everyone I show them to love them, but I'm not so easily satisfied (Chilli) But some authors can't seem to see their own problems. What's worse -- they refuse to admit they HAVE any problems. (Anne-Mal) So you would say that criticism has helped you? (Chilli) A thousand-fold. (Anne-Mal) How about just a simple "Thank You"? (Chilli) They certainly have their place. Carol, who just left, told me to keep every letter I received to my work. "Keep 'em around," she said (well, maybe not those words, but close). "When you need to refer to them, they'll be there and you can get the 'pick-me-up' you need to keep going." That was great advice. (lrochelle) Bye Chilli It's been interesting. (Chilli) Bye, Rochelle. Thanks! (Carol__Collins) I have to leave. Chilli and everyone else, have a nice evening. (*Wendy-J) Bye Carol! Glad U came! (SteveZ) Chilli and company, it's been fun, but I gotta go. (Chilli) See ya, Steve. Thanks! (*Wendy-J) Bye Steve Thanks! (sue) Same here as well--thanks for taking the time to chat tonight, Chilli. Bye for now.. (Chilli) My pleasure, Sue. Thanks! (Chilli) "A hush falls over the assembled throng." (PJ) Chilli, you said something earlier that struck a chord with me. (Chilli) A major? *Grin* (PJ) You know I agree with you about writing your stories for yourself. But do you think there's not some duty to . . . umm . . . write to the genre? To write to entertain as well? I mean, we *are* taking up space here on FM. (What do you get when you drop a piano down a mine shaft? "A Flat Miner") (Chilli) *Groan* P J., there is certainly a "duty," as it were, to write stories intended for this site if we intend to have them posted here. I'm certainty not going to waste Mindy's time posting a treatise on object- oriented programming techniques. But, that doesn't mean that, just because the current commentary on the list is pointing to CD-stories as the "hot" story of the day that you as an author have to write a CD-story. (Mindy) There is about 17.5 gigs of disk drive here, with 14 gigs free yet! We have a long way to go to fill it up! (ellie) Even with 300-800K stories? Editor's note-For the computer novice - there are 1,024K in a Megabyte, there are 1,000,000 Meg. in a Giggabyte, with all the stories I have from FM (I have most of them) I only have about 3 or 400 Meg of Hard drive space chewed up. Granted I don't have a data base either, but please Write On! Also - as a frame of reference Louisa May Alcott's Little Women only uses up about 8 to 900K. (Chilli) I think that, as long as the story stays within the genre here, that we've done our "duty" as authors to the list. "More stunned silence emanates from the crowd. They simply can't believe their ears!" (PJ) I have to agree with the comment about "writing to demand." It's frustrating to see people write to the hyperboard saying "Write more CD and less Magic!" (Chilli) Or the converse. (PJ) Like an author can pick and choose what they're going to write today! (Mindy) PJ that goes in cycles (PJ) I realize that Mindy. And I don't condemn a person for stating a preference. (*Wendy-J) We are busy talking behind your back doll (Chilli) To those people, I say, "Write your own story and post it here." (Mindy) Perfect answer Chilli! (bdt) I'm just sitting here soaking it all in like a sponge (Chilli) Mindy, thanks. (Regal) You know, now everyone is going to read Mansion of Mayhem just to see if it really is bad. :) Remember the loaded gun from earlier? BANG! (Chilli) Oh good Lord. (*Wendy-J) Worst yet it is one of the highest read of his! (Regal) It will become one of the most read stories as a result. (Mindy) Chilli it has been agreed in private that I repost that story (Chilli) Now I'll die of embarrassment. (Mindy) and in the synopsis, I say Chilli hates this story don't read it :) (*Wendy-J) LOL (Chilli) *Grin* (*Wendy-J) =) (rebel1) Just tell the people not to read it and it will be a "most read"! (ellie) Don't die. Write. Write so good that we forget "Mansion". Besides, even your worst work is still readable. (Chilli) Ellie, thank you. (Anne-Mal) Of course Mindy could have a special link at the log to Chilli's "favorite" story! (*Wendy-J) There ya go!!! (Chilli) Oh -- I just remembered something! I do have one more story "in the works," in case anyone is interested . . . my first foray into the Spells 'R' Us universe. (*Wendy-J) Chilli, you blew it bud! (He should have never told me he wanted that story back.) (Mindy) Hmmm, I see some you write the random title images being thought up right now about the MofM (Chilli) ::affecting a Boris Karloff impersonation:: I've created a monster! (Anne-Mal) You forgot the first rule of a writer: people actually read what you write! (*Wendy-J) Best read story on the site by AYEM (Chilli) Okay . . . I'll bite. AYEM? (*Wendy-J) Supposed to be A Yem as in AM (ellie) Ayem is sad she's a mourning person. (PJ) (Is she related to Auntie Meridan?) (Regal) Don't make us hurt you, Ellie. (Chilli) Ellie, Brava! (*Wendy-J) How do you feel now that the night is drawing to a close Chilli? (Chilli) Totally, one thousand percent JAZZED! This has been fantastic! If you've enjoyed this chat half as much as I have, then I've enjoyed it twice as much as you! *Grin* You all are the greatest! (PJ) OH, OH! What the HELL does *that word* mean? (*Wendy-J) what word? *Grin* (PJ) (I looked in every dictionary I've got. "That word" that Chilli was going to define) (*Wendy-J) Hold on I'll get it but it means and anthology. Florilegium- anthology or collection of works (PJ) (Thank you, Wendy. I've been wondering all day. Truly) (Chilli) P J., all you had to do was ask *Grin* (*Wendy-J) Thank Chilli, he provided it! (PJ) (Couldn't find you to ask. :) (Mindy) Chilli we all just wish you had more time to write! (ellie) Thanks and thanks for doing the chat. (Chilli) My most humble thanks. If nothing else, this will certainly kick my Muse in her petite little rump! (Anne-Mal) His laptop? (Mindy) Maybe somebody here should kidnap Chilli's SO for a month or 2 :) (Chilli) It was a very hectic day . . . . 'nuff said. (*Wendy-J) You lived and had a blast too !!! (PJ) (Bed time for me. Thanks Chilli for the chat that I was anticipating. And thanks Mindy and Wendy for providing!) (*Wendy-J) Hey Mindy provided, I went along for the ride! (Chilli) See ya, P J. Thanks! (Mindy) So how did the handle ChilliTNG come about and what does the TNG mean? (bdt) Mindy I was just gonna ask that too! (*Wendy-J) Well Chilli? (Chilli) I'm tempted to say that I'll let Paul explain. *Grin* (*Wendy-J) LOL (Chilli) But, I'll not do so. (Mindy) Everybody walking to the door freezes for a second! (*Wendy-J) |_|0 (rebel1) Chili thanks for answering the question on pornography, I liked your answer. (Chilli) Rebel1, my pleasure. I hope it helped. (*Wendy-J) |_|0 (bdt) night Chilli (*Wendy-J) Night BD (Chilli) Goodnight, BD. Thanks! (ellie) G'night , Chilli and thanks again. (bdt) Thank you for how you got the motivation to start writing (Chilli) Gosh, they're leaving without learning "the secret." (Mindy) Sure you want to answer that question for the logs? (*Wendy-J) |_|0 You said no, so I am supplying the beer. Say it! (Chilli) Oh, I meant that I wouldn't let Paul answer for me. (Mindy) Well? (Chilli) BD -- I look forward to reading it. (*Wendy-J) Long night wasn't it? (Chilli) I've typed me fingers to da bone! (*Wendy-J) Mindy .... THANKS (Mindy) I know you are actually the president of Chilli's restaurants? (Chilli) Mindy, nope, but I sing their "baby back ribs" jingle. (g (Mindy) LOL (*Wendy-J) TNG The News Groups? (Chilli) Okay. Chilli stands for chili. As in the meat, water and spices food. (*Wendy-J) as in concarne? (Chilli) Yepper. (*Wendy-J) and TNG? (Chilli TNG) stands for The Next Generation -- my chili recipe was based upon my own recipe, my late father's recipe and my wife's mother's recipe. (*Wendy-J) LOL!!!!!!!!! well if that don't beat all! (Mindy) Darn and you did not cook chili and share with us tonight? (*Wendy-J) Selfish isn't he? (Anne-Mal) I thought you were a Star Trek fan! (Chilli) Ann, I am, but the TNG is NOT a "tribute" to Star Trek. See. Nothing mysterious. (Anne-Mal) So will you post the recipe with the log? (*Wendy-J) PLEASE? (Chilli) Umm . . . I don't think so. (*Wendy-J) Meanie (Chilli) I don't really think it has much to do with the Fictionmania. site. If you want it, e-mail me. (Mindy) Ready to close the log? (*Wendy-J) Ready when U R (Chilli) Mindy, thanks! Wendy, THANKS!!! (*Wendy-J) No problemo (Anne-Mal) Well, if we eat it we might write as good as you! Like Popeye! (*Wendy-J) LOL (Chilli) Ann, LOL. (Mindy) closing logs then OK? (*Wendy-J) OK (*Wendy-J) ?? It's over? Wow! What a night! Wait! There's more! Chilli's Next Generation Chili! Secret Log Activated! On Friday June 04, 1999 8:30PM PST (Liz Bennett) Where are you looking? (Chilli) It's a question of finding it on one of several computers. Arrrrghhhh! Fat fingers again. I'm getting tired! I'm sorry, everyone. I'm not trying to play with you here. I can't find this stupid thing. (Liz Bennett) Perhaps the dog ate it. (Tom) Maybe so! (Chilli) FOUND IT!!! Ready? (Anne-Mal) Yes, please! 4 lbs. ground round or coarsely cut tri-tip 2 t. garlic powder 2 t. chicken bouillon granules 2 4 oz. cans green chilies, chopped 2 T. calaphon chili blend 2 T. Gebharts chili powder 1 1/2 T. vinegar 4 t. ground black pepper 2 t. coarse kosher salt 1/2 t. Tabasco sauce 6 c. water 2 large onions 2 t. beef bouillon granules 2 10 1/2 oz. cans beef broth 6 T. Mexene chili powder 2 T. Williams-Sonoma chili powder 6 T. ground cumin 4 t. Mexican oregano 2 t. cilantro 8 oz. tomato sauce 1 T. sugar T. flour (Chilli) See why I wanted you to e-mail your requests *Grin*? (Anne-Mal) Is that it? (Chilli) For the ingredients. Here are the instructions: Begin by chopping onions coarsely. Place in blender and grind until fine. Add the green chilies and 1/2 t. garlic powder, then blend again. Add 1 T. Mexene chili powder, 1 T. cumin, 1 T. Calaphon chili blend and tomato sauce, then blend again. Set this mixture aside. Combine the following into the bottom of the pot: 4 T. Mexene chili powder, 1 T. calaphon chili bland, 2 T. Williams-Sonoma chili powder, 2 T. Gebharts chili powder, 4 T. cumin, 2 t. Mexican oregano, 1 t. garlic powder and 2 t. ground black pepper. Mix well, creating your own custom chili powder. Spread evenly over the bottom of the pot. Add the meat to the pot and heat until the meat is just past pink. Add one can of beef broth, then reduce. Add the second can and reduce again. Transfer the mixture from the blender into the pot and bring to a boil. To this, add 4 c. water, the remaining salt, beef bouillon, chicken bouillon, cilantro, the remaining Mexican oregano and the remaining black pepper. Bring back to a boil. About one hour into the cooking time, add the vinegar in half-teaspoon increments, tasting between each add, to taste. Also, began to add the sugar in one teaspoon increments. DO NOT OVER-SWEETEN! About 2 hours into the cooking time (or, one hour later), place the flour into a small container. Add enough hot grease/sauce from the cooking chili to make a think paste. Add the paste to the chili, then stir rapidly. The chili will begin to thicken. Adjust the thickness with water as necessary. About twenty minutes before you're ready to serve, add the remaining Mexene chili powder and the remaining cumin. Stir well. About five minutes before you're ready to serve, add the Tabasco sauce and stir well. (Bashful) I'm glad you did not misspell that last spice (Chilli) (My notes continue: At turn in , place one quart of chili in container, then wait to claim first prize!) And there you are! (Anne-Mal) About how long does it take to make? (Chilli) About four hours -- an hour to prep, chop, etc. and three hours to cook. Much longer, of course, if you're cutting the tri-tip into 1/4 inch cubes! Use a good quality ground round that works very well. Now, if any of you make this, please let me know if you enjoyed it. (Anne-Mal) And this mixture inspired you to write so well? (Chilli) I didn't say that! End Logs for Chilli chili chat!

Chatting bring mother and son together

I used to spend a lot of time on the computer in our house because of work. But as my son Nikhil started growing up, he started getting interested in the computer too. Initially, he would wait patiently, but grudgingly for me to finish with the computer, before he could start working on it. But by the time he became 16 years old, he became more demanding. And kept saying that he needed the computer more than me, as he had to use it to discuss his school homework with his classmates over the...

Chatting with my stepsister

A while after watching my stepsister play with her cunt in her bed, I found myself chatting to her one afternoon while we were home alone. Our parents were out at a show and her and I were having a drink together. Our conversation soon went sexual for some reason and we both felt rather comfortable with each other to talk about our sexual experiences. She soon asked me if I have any fetishes and I replied yes and asked if she had any. She to said she does and asked if I could tell her mine...

Chatting at the Office

Jessica always wore nice but conservative clothes to work.   They didn’t do much to show off what looked like an incredible body, but didn’t necessarily hide it either.   I’d walk by her desk several times a day jus to get a whiff of her perfume or a glance at her cleavage or her neck. We were civil to each other, even friendly, but we rarely went past that professional barrier.   I’d laugh and kid around or at least I’d try, and she didn’t seem to mind the occasional joke that was a bit off,...

Chatting With A Stranger

The Internet is an amazing thing. It can take us anywhere in an instant. It can take us to amazing sensual heights, or to our darkest deepest fantasies. I suppose that's how my story started. I still can't decide whether it's an amazing sensual height, or if it's a deep dark fantasy. I guess I should start by telling you a little about myself. I'm 23 years old, white, five foot six inches tall. I have dirty blonde hair, and green eyes. I'm pretty busty, and feel somewhat sexy with my...

Chatting brings mother and son together

Jyoti was clinging onto me as she danced. Once in a while in between we would kiss. Her pallu had fallen down revealing her fair smooth waist and jutting breasts. Even some of the other guys, dancing with their partners couldn’t help but steal a glance at my wife. My wife had her eyes semi-closed and was gyrating sensuously, oblivious to the rest.of the crowd. I set my plans into motion.. I quietly took out a red rose from my pocket and put it inside her purse. She was so drunk she didn’t even...

(*Anne-Mal) So how did the meal turn out after last night's chat, Liz? (regal) Oh yes, you made me hungry. (LizBennett) Well, it's embarrassing to say. You see, I did not read the label carefully enough. (regal) That bad? (LizBennett) I thought I was rotisseriing a chicken, but the label *actually* said, "stewing hen." It was as tough...

big black cock and maried withe woman

The third person I ever had sex with was my husband so you couldn’t call me promiscuous. I lost my virginity aged 18 during a drunken student party and I was not at all impressed with the whole sex thing. The second man came along two years later; he was my first long term love, well a few months anyway. Then there was Paul, we dated; we got engaged and eventually married. I didn’t know and didn’t care if our sex life was good or not, it was good enough for me. We had and still do have sex...

Big fun withe the young bartender

So we went at a nice hotel in town, just a night away for a dinner and some fun. Away from home and the routine. We Rented a suite on the 10th floor and intended to just relax away the day and night We checked out the bar and took a seat in a leather ensconsed booth which was very cozy and private. I got a couple of drinks from, and made some small talk with the bartender. A nice guy about 25 yrs. old. It was early, about 4pm and we had the place to ourselves As I sat in our booth I noticed him...

The United Kingdom of Zoo A fake BBC documentary seriesS12E19 Emma Withe 54 from Oakham

We fade in in the middle of a quiet street, in the low-rise central area of a small midlands town, with one and two story buildings around us. To one side, a long flat warehouse/factory type unit, stocking and fitting tyres for local drivers, to the other, the town’s train station. Looking like a traditional old station, but rebuilt fairly recently. There’s a small car park between us and the station, and it’s almost full. We watch as a car drives down the road toward us, then turns into the...

A construction superintendant has a threesome wwith a fourteen year old girl and her boyfriend

As a construction supervisor I meet all sorts of subcontractors. Working on a Saturday is not uncommon and often the subs bring their teenage sons along to learn the trade. This was the case when I met Dillon. Now I am a straight male but even I have to admit this boy was cute. Small boned, brown wavy hair to his shoulders, blue eyes and an engaging smile. At lunch time Dillon found me in the construction trailer and asked if he could talk to me. “Sure,” I said pushing a chair towards him. He...

Coquette and her cuckold Part 1with paragraphs

Part 1 I had already experienced a number of threesomes in the past with my wife, about four I think. They had always excited me, I’d always got harder and lasted longer than at any other time we had sex together. I never analysed it very much at the time, about why it turned me on so much. I just knew it was going to be one of the most arousing nights of sex I was likely to enjoy – apart from one time when Julie seemed to be interested only in the guy we were with and I felt very much...

Sunnydayzwithu

He was looking forward to going to Verna. It could only be for a limited time but there would be other visits. Even traveling a considerable distance, he thought it well worth the time, there was no sacrifice. Eventually, Verna started to come into view, he slowed his approach and savoured the anticipation, smiling at the butterfly sensation in his stomach. With all the thoughts, feelings and emotions during his advance he neglected to observe one very crucial thing. A mistake was made, a major...

The Beckwith Affair chap 4

August 7 th , 8:00 a.m. Los Angeles “Maggie, I want to go over what we have so far,” I said. “Beckey has a warehouse where she is importing dolls filled with pure cocaine from Bolivia.   These dolls are not going through customs and are being delivered in small packages and probably to different locations.   We don’t know how the money is being transferred but it’s probably cash all the way, and likely being transferred to the ship at the same time the dolls are picked up.” “Alan has gone to...

The Beckwith Affair Chap 1

August 3 rd , 10:05 a.m. “Robert Eyestone, private investigations, this is Maggie, how can I help you?” “Is Mr. Eyestone in?” the voice on the phone asked. “He is not in at the moment, can I get your name and number and have him call you?” asked Maggie. “Please, this is Mrs. Beckwith, of Beckwith Importers.   My number is 310-555-7600.” “He will call you as soon as he is able.   Thank you Mrs. Beckwith.”   “Hello, is this Mr. Eyestone?” asked Mrs. Beckwith. “Yes it is, how did you know it...

The Beckwith Affair Chap 5

Alan picked up the phone and called the front desk and told them he was checking out and asked if they could send someone up right away with the bill. He began throwing his things together almost frantically, his mind racing as he packed. “If they don’t know I’m on to them they won’t be expecting me to leave right away,” he thought. His plan was to pay cash when the bill was brought up and avoid the lobby when leaving the hotel.   Then he remembered Savanna.   He ran to the door, opened it...

The Beckwith Affair Chap 3

I went back to the office to find out what Maggie had for me.   I needed more pieces to the puzzle and without going to Mexico to talk to Alan, Maggie was all I had at the moment. It was not yet 5:00 and Maggie was still at her desk typing into the computer.   Without looking up she handed me a folder. “The list of properties you asked for,” she said. I took the file into my office and began to look it over.   I discovered that the condo that Alan lived in was owned by Beckwith Importers.  ...

The Beckwith Affair Chap 2

August 5 th , 8:20 a.m. I went into the office early the next morning, anxious to get to work on the Beckwith case.   As I entered the office I found Maggie at her desk.   “Maggie, I need you to do your thing for me,” I said.   “Alan Jankowski, we need to find him.   Check for arrests, the morgue, hospitals, etc.   Check planes, buses, trains, cruise ships, even rental car agencies.   I suspect he is not dead but don’t leave any stone uncovered. I’m going to be out most of the day checking...
